I played with dogs, need I say more? Also, this chapter is a bit longer, but that meant I finished it later than normal.

Chapter 12: Debut Battle

Away from town, in a clearing amongst the forested and hilly landscape, sat a small shack. It wasn't the largest, nor was it the sturdiest, but it could survive the harsh winters with the heat being kept in when holes in the walls were plugged in. Those same holes acted as a poor man's ventilation in the summer months. Inside the cramped shack was little in the way of furniture as there were 2 boxes, one of the supplies, and another of clothing. There was a small bed, and a fireplace dug into the ground with a pot over it, said fire pit was in use as smoke escaped through the makeshift chimney opening in the roof.

Within it, Kon Chōjūrō rested close to the fire, not sleeping, as he wondered what he'd do for food. His last trip into town to get some had ended poorly, and the small river nearby had little fish in it. Looking to the side, the animalistic-looking man could see that his supply of canned food was running low, and the last thing he wanted was to dip more into his emergency food supplies than he already had. With his shitty luck, there could be a fucking blizzard come morning and keeps him inside.

Wondering how he'd get into town and buy something from Tsubaki when he heard the sounds of people approaching, a lot of that. He blew hot air through his nose as he got up, as he just knew this was trouble he exited his home to see what all the noise was all about, only see find his clearing surrounded with at least 40s cops and 10 pros, most he didn't recognise as local.

Cursing his bad luck, he wished he had some smokes on him but alas, he had used the last a few days ago, so he settled in just trying to get them to leave him the hell alone. "Get lost."

"On your knees, villain! You're surrounded!" Someone further back with a megaphone yelled, making him frown at how annoying that felt on his cat-like ears.

"And why would I do that? I'm not religious." He replied, keeping his eyes on those around him, tracking where they were and how they moved in the shin-deep snow-well, shin deep for them, his large frame made it so that the snow just reached his ankles.

"You're under arrest, villain! I will not repeat myself, on your knees now!" There was something familiar in how annoying and shrill that voice sounded, but he had met so many assholes, it could have been any of them. Either way, he didn't bother to think too much about it.

"Surrounded by this paltry number? You think this will be enough?" He cracked his neck, his smile skin to a shark despite the fact he didn't have any in his DNA, at least as far as he knew. That seemed to be enough of a signal to them as they moved in.

"Take hi-!" One pro tried to speak, but with speeds that contrasted his large size, he closed the distance between them and grabbed the man's head, silencing him and leaving him and the rest shocked that he could do that as he continued to smile, even as he tightened his grip, his eagle talon nails starting to dig into their flesh as they started to scream from it.

Ignoring it, he turned to the rest of the law enforcement here to ruin his day. He always figured this day would come, and he wasn't about to go down without a fight. "Hey, if you've already made up your mind, I might as well have some fun!" He finished his statement with a laugh akin to a dog's bark as he threw his captured pro towards the tree line, their body crossing the distance in seconds before impacting with a three, bending around it in ways that it shouldn't as no doubt bones were broken as the man fell to its feet, unmoving.

"Dammit, get him!" The fight was one, but despite their numbers and training, Kon proved why they needed so many to try and take him down. Years of living on the streets and brawling had refined his already exceptional beastly instincts to a whole new level, combined with his superhuman sense of sight, hearing, smell, reflexes and strength-he made known why he was called Chimera-like the mythical beast, he tore through them.

Rushing him in a combo attack, one hero leapt into the air at him, a construct made of some sort of energy forming in his hands, taking the shape of a hammer while the second tried to ensnare him with a chain. Kon smiled at this and grabbed the chain, pulling the man off his feet towards him and using him as a shield against the hammer, the construct fading at the last second to prevent friendly fire but this merely gave Kon the chance to body both, using his impromptu human shield as a flail to strike the pro out of the air before slamming said flail into the snow-covered earth.

Kicking that one away, he was attacked by pro shooting arrows at him, Kon caught on before it could hit his chest but rather than remain still, the arrow exploded. The green-attired pro kept up the fire, using several trick arrows as Kon jumped back from the smoke cloud, completely unharmed by the earlier explosion but still dodging the rest of the arrows coming his way, not trusting that explosions were the only thing they had. Seeing the man reach for another arrow after firing, he waved his hand in front of him with so much power that the force sent the arrow off course, where it fell to the ground without ceremony.

Kicking off, he goes to pummel the pro into the ground but at the last second, detects movement to the side and abandons the assault with a hasty roll, saving him from being shot full of bullets. Turning his yellow eyes to the side, he saw the cops had pulled out their guns at last, bigger ones than the simple revolvers police normally carried. Still, the fact that they carried such hardware was suspicious. "I didn't know you brought out the big guns for me, why's that?" He asked but none answered him as they glared on and fire, which he chose to evade by jumping back, hearing a whistling noise behind him, he stomped his foot into the ground, jutting out some earth from underneath the snow which blocked the arrow fired from what should have been his blindside.

The archer ticked but otherwise remained silent as they continued to fire on him as more pros rushed in during the lull of gunfire from the police.

Even while still a way out, Midoriya and Makihara could heat the fighting and gunshots that cracked through the chilled air. "I hope we get there in time," Midoriya stated as Makihara remained the more composed of the two.

Even in the biting cold, his response was measured. "Would he even need it? All that noise means he's giving them a hell of a fight, makes sense if he's as strong as the stories say he is." He had been listening to that for a while and while his younger party hadn't put much thought into it, he had realized that this Chimera was no joke. Getting closer only confirmed that to him.

"We shouldn't take our chances; you saw how pros they had. They could easily have more on the way and the last thing we need is to contend with someone from the top 100." Midoriya replied as he could get that, but he knew that pros tended to be quick in their responses. And if this was planned, he wouldn't be surprised if more were close by just in case.

"We could take them." Midoriya agreed with that statement, and as much as he would have loved for them to fight against one, see what his flames could do against skilled opponents and not just thugs and low-tier villains, he had to remind himself to remain focused.

"I'd rather not, as beating them means more of them will be on us and I would very much not find out if Mirko can kick heads off." His old classmates might have focused on her legs for lewd reasons, he did so because of the power she could bring to the table with even casual kicks and knees. He knew if he transformed, he could burn her, but could he do it fast enough that she couldn't knock him out? Probably not, she and other top 20 pros were ranked so high for a reason.

Makihara let out a sound of contemplation before turning his head his way. "If that's the case, head on ahead, I can tell you can move faster than this."

"What about you?" Midoriya asked him, in response he got the sense that the man was smiling underneath the large collar of his jacket.

"I'll hang back and handle anyone that tries to approach, I'll meet up with you and handle their rear after that." Midoriya nodded as he turned back to the way ahead, his steam fuelled body growing hotter as he produced more of it, increasing his speed further as he raced ahead, easily doubling his pace as he jumped onto the trees, climbing to the top and jumping from tree to tree to find a shorter path.

"Good luck!" He yelled back as Makihara turned to the side and went looking for targets, removing his jacket all the while to let his bandages loose as they floated around him like the heads of a hydra, ready and waiting for their first meal of the day.

Back in the clearing, the once undisturbed snow had been kicked about all over the place, exposing the cold hard earth beneath. Most of those craters were filled with knocked-out pros and cops alike, most in serious medical need after being taken out by the still-standing Chimera. The bordering tree line wasn't that much better as trunks had been bent and broken, often by the impacts of bodies hitting them.

At the center of it, Chimera slammed another pro into the dirt, dragging them through it before tossing them towards a group of cops trying to hide, with that taken out, he took stock of the situation. If he wasn't wrong, he had handled a 3rd of the pros that had come and half the cops, that was good but as much as it was in the beginning, it had waned in the last few minutes as none of them were all that strong or combat smart. The man barely needs to do more than trust his instincts and let them carry him rather than think of counters and attacks.

He would get his wish as he felt the ground start to vibrate before it crumbled beneath him, he jumped up to avoid what appeared to be an earthquake-like attack, but the earth then shifted and grabbed onto him, a glance to the side revealed the bloodied visage of a pro he thought he had already handled, their hands in the snow and controlling the earth as they kept their eyes fixed on him. However, he saw more starting to arrive. Reinforcements had finally arrived for the pros, had they?

Feeling the earth, he didn't have time to escape the rather weak, at least for him, hold as another, new to the fight, controlled the ice to shape it into chains. The white-haired woman watching him with an impassive face as the chains of ice wrapped around him, increasing the strength of his binds even further, just long enough for a blonde man in a yellow spandex suit and leather jacket to attack him, flying over to him, he pulled back his fist and right as Chimera busted free, he was tackled by the man onto the snow, the blonde clawing at him like a bear and actually drawing blood.

Seeing that he was getting hit, Kon growled as he blasted the man with fire, but with the reflexes of a fly and agility of a snake, the pro avoided the attack as he landed a ways away, no worse for wear. More than then, there were others, Kon being able to identify one dressed in red robotic-like armor, another with green skin, totally red eyes and a blue cape and a woman with large wings holding a stun baton on steroids.

Still, if they thought that merely drawing blood was enough to handle him, they were sorely mistaken as he focused on his hearing, and when he heard the string of the bow shifting, he slammed his foot into the ground, once more digging up the earth and blocking the arrow which exploded in contact. But this move served a second purpose of masking his movements as he came barrelling out, towards the blonde from before he narrowed his eyes, but Kon shifted without warning and jumped towards the emerald archer, who wasn't fast enough to dodge or counter as he grabbed him by his bow holding him, and snapped the bone in a single strike before a swift headbutt sent him to dreamworld.

Jumping to the side, he landed in a roll to avoid the tornado being thrown at him by the red robot, and instead grabbed onto two trees by their trunks, ripping them clean out of the earth before throwing them after the other towards the wind user, forcing him to have to shift his attention to blocking the one that would have hit him, and the one that would have taken out some of the police they had escorted here, but that left him open as Kon closed the distance between them and landed a fierce uppercut to the man's chest, destroying his armor and blasting him into the air, breath robbed from him.

Kon was about to go after him and ensure he stayed down when he felt it before he heard it, a crack of a gun and then a piercing pain in his side. Dropping to his side, he wondered how that was even possible, he should have dodged it, hell even if he was hit, he had a hide as thick as a fucking hippos-small arms might as well be BB guns to him unless.

"Bastard, you came here with big game rounds, didn't you?" He asked of them, the remaining pros and cops watching him for any tricks, guns that he now knew could hurt if not kill him trained on his form.

"When hunting animals, it's only appropriate that you pack the proper supplies." A cop walked up to him, his winter coat different from the rest, bearing a couple of medals of achievement or rank, he didn't care as the man lowered his rifle and pulled back his cap, presenting his face to him, one that had a hate in it that could only be born from experience. "Been a long time, Kon. Remember me?"

Still, even with a hole in his side and surrounded, Kon was nothing if not confident as he barked back. "Not sure, I've seen so many assholes that they start blending."

His response angered the cop who looked close to just shooting them then and there, consequences be damned. "You took my chance of being the next number one from me, the least I can do is make sure you rot in a cage like the mange mutt you are." Wait a second, that was a weird way to put it, the only person that ever said something like that was…Oh, how that was just funny, too funny even.

Kon chuckled before a rumbling laugh sounded from his lips, a sound that caught them all off guard as it started to take aspects of a hyena's laugh, shivers flowing down their backs from it as it carried such amusement and malice.

For his part, he didn't care that it hurt to laugh, that he could feel the bullet in his side moving above. All he could do was find this entire thing funny as hell. He had thought they'd never have to see one another again after that day when he decided he was an easy mark and he made sure he learned his lesson. But man, who would imagine that the pride of their school would spend so many years carrying that anger over his loss? He'll have to tell Tsubaki about this prick, she never met him but he had told her the story.

He looked the man right in the eye, his yellow wolf eyes retaining all the might they had seen at the beginning of this, more than he had back when he was just another teenager trying to keep his head down. "Big talk from a guy that needed to bring so many people just to bring me to my knees, but I'm not dead yet." Despite his fear and hate mixing and flowing through his heart, the cop raised his gun once more.

"That can be arranged-''Before one of his colleagues could stop him, a comet of emerald flames came barrelling in from over the tree-tops, crashing into a clearing with an explosive landing, melting snow instantly and kicking up dirt as the force of the impact sent some to the floor while the cop in question fell to his knees. Swearing, he turned around to demand to know what just happened when he saw that a walking volcano, engulfed in emerald flames had appeared, and its burning yet absent eyes locked onto him as it dashed towards him, low to the ground as its snake-like tail propelled it forward, snow in, close to and behind its path melting instantly throwing up a mist cloud around them that obscured them even further.

The snow woman was the first to react to this, forming more chains of ice and sending them towards the figure, but they didn't stop them as Midoriya merely flashed his heat to incredible heat, melting the ice long before it could reach him as the cop turned away from Kon and fired, but to their shock the bullets merely broke off pieces of his stone's over layer, barely anything as Midoriya growled, a sound akin to a volcano moments before it erupts coming from him as he grabbed the man's gun, which started to heat up in his grasp, before exploding once the gunpowder grew too hot.

The blast sent the policeman into his back as he screamed in pain, his hands badly mutilated by the blast, heat and shrapnel as Midoriya stood, barely affected as the damage fixed itself. "No shooting people." Midoriya hissed out at the man, turning to the rest and seeing them shocked, perhaps by his appearance, how fast he arrived, how fast he handled things with the gun, he didn't know. But it didn't last as the blonde ice woman created a massive hammer out of ice while the flier from before, fired a large green blast at him which he dodged. When the ice crashed down onto him, he caught it in his hands and with a roar of power, he destroyed it, ripping the melting weapon to pieces.

Other cops fired at him but their bullets only chipped at him while they could take down an elephant, they weren't designed to piece the hard rock that formed the thousands of scales across his body as he flicked his tail through the snow, melting it and creating another cloud of mist. The cops didn't give him any chances as they continued to fire, and that was fine- his goal wasn't to run as he took a deep breath.

"Serpent's Fireball!" The steam was instantly overtaken by the massive green fireball heading towards the cops.

"Oh shit!" They cried as they jumped to avoid it, barely evading it as it crashed into some trees, the force either uprooting them or burning them to a crisp. Midoriya's eyes might have been nothing but vents for his flames, but Koharu, secure around his neck and unaffected by the flames and intense flames he was putting out, could see he enjoyed that. An observation proved to be accurate as he turned around and did it again, and again, firing massive balls of green fire all over the place, melting hundreds if not thousands of kilos of snow, burning people too slow or unlucky enough to be struck, and setting fire to many of the trees that lined the boundaries of the clearing.

Kon, for his part, didn't know who the hell this was or why he was here, all he knew was that he didn't look gift horses in the mouth as he turned to handle the rest of them, as the new arrival and his apparent talent for all things fire threw them all into disarray. Even with a hand pressed to his side to stop the bleeding, he was still a beast as the two started to push back the heroes and police with nothing but raw strength and fire. For the heroes, the entire operation turned to shit as they had already been having issues with Chimera, who proved stronger and smarter than they believed, but this new guy was a complete unknown, and now they had to think on their feet lest they be consumed by the emerald flames he was unleashing all over the place.

The snow woman, who had been paying attention to douse the flames around them before they could spread, pulled as much of the snow remaining in the area as she could and dumped it onto Midoriya, trying to cool him off, instead, he screamed in pain and rage as feeling himself being cooled like that, the sensation of ice on his stone and flame body felt like knives digging into his flesh. Such a feeling, something he didn't even know was possible in this force served to only anger him as he turned towards her, sick and tired of her and her attempts to mess with him and his fires!

In his anger, he decided to use something he hadn't used outside of practice. "Boa Flame!" From his stone jaws, a massive snake of flames formed, its form large enough to wrap around a school bus as its eyes lined up with the terrified woman and shot right towards her. She tried to create a platform to escape on, but the flames caught her, melting her eyes and trapping her in a vortex of heat and flames where it was hard to even breathe as all the air was being taken to feed the flames. As if that wasn't enough, the vortex exploded, sending people flying in all directions with her screams of pain being the only thing heard over the place.

Blowing out a puff of smoke from his mouth, he didn't even check to ensure she was still alive, it wasn't like that was the strongest he made it, she was fine…probably. Either way, he had other concerns, namely those left standing who looked at him like a demon out of hell. Looking to the side didn't help them as even wounded Kon struck a terrifying picture as they shivered, moving back as this picture of nature and the elements coming for them broke their morale as they turned to flee.

It proved to not be their day as before they could flee toward the road, they heard cries, screams and gunfire approaching them from the direction of where they had left the rear units in charge of keeping watch over their vehicles. A moment later, a cop came flying in, screaming in terror as he was thrown by whatever they had been trying to fight where he landed in the snow, breaking from the tree line, they saw even more monsters appear, red mummies that watched them with soulless crimson eyes through the wraps that covered their bodies. With Makihara stepping out behind, bands of his bandages connected to his army of puppets.

"You're not going to be getting any backup anytime soon." He told them, his wraps moving out towards those already down and out, wrapping around and turning them into new puppets or mere tools. Stuck between him and the two beasts approaching, the remaining cops and pros had no choice but to try and fight, hoping that aid would arrive once they realized someone had gone terribly wrong.

Their hopes were misplaced as while Makihara hadn't managed to take care of all of them, Hasaki was more up to the task as from the top of the tallest tree the immediate she rained down hair needles that incapacitated any remaining police and vehicles alike, people going down in pained groans and cried as their bodies were pierced multiple times by the hair-thin needles while their vehicles exploded under the onslaught, bathing the area in crimson and orange flames which she found to be fitting, as it did a great job of heating her. All the while, storm clouds gathered overhead.

From these storm clouds, a massive thunderbolt came crashing into the earth, joined by others that struck around the area, destroying all that they touched, blowing up roads and setting fire to the area, for the law enforcement confronting it, it was a scene straight out of hell as they fought a losing battle against the mummified bodies of their fallen, not sure if they were hurting them and being unable to get to Makihara, while Slice kept whatever aid that could get to them pinned and afraid while thunder and lighting covered the area, reducing it to a burning ruin, crowned by two forces of nature, the best and fire-tearing into them from the clearing.

When all was said and done, just a few of the dozens that had arrived were left standing, being led by the blonde who looked dirtied, tried and injured but still up as he tried to strike at a preoccupied Kon while Midoriya had his back turned, sending a jet of searing flames in another direction but one of the largest bolts of lightning of the day came down, striking him as the man screamed in pain as his strength of the elephant was easily overwhelmed by the tens of millions of volts coursing through him into the earth as he collapsed into a heap.

Looking up, Midoriya and Kon saw that Nine had been the culprit of their freak weather as the man slowly floated back to earth, his boots touching down with little fanfare in the hellscape that they had created. Looking around, he saw nothing but flames, destruction and bodies- if they were still alive or not wasn't something he concerned himself with.

With the battle over, Kon had the time to focus on the new arrivals. His attention shifted from the bandaged one to the other two. The walking furnace and the one that could control the weather. He blinked when the furnace one changed, its form shifting back to a human one, revealing it to be a boy in a frilly kimono, he could only tell it was a boy because of his scent. The boy looked towards the other and spoke up.

"We managed to take out most of them, but I wouldn't be surprised if more show up after that performance." Midoriya, if his scent didn't make it obvious before, had a masculine voice as he spoke to Nine, and he gave Koharu a little head scratch.

"We'll be long gone by then." Nine replied, his gaze never leaving Kon who watched him with suspicious eyes.

"Who the hell are you people?" He was blunt.

"Depending on your answer, friends or nobodies of importance." Nine's response only put him more on edge as sure, he didn't say or imply he'll try and kill him but you don't survive on your own without treating those around and their statements with a kilo of salt.

"What does that mean?" He asked back, wincing from the bullet in his side as he pulled his hand back and saw it was covered in his blood.

"You're hurt." Midoriya moved closer to him, kneeling at the taller man's side though not too close as he looked up at him. "May I?"

"What, you're a healer on top of a walking fire hazard?" Kon asked him as Midoriya cocked his head to the side at that comment.

"Uh, I've not heard that one before, it sounds fun!" He smiled, as he had been called a lot of things through the years but never fire-hazard. Oh! That sounded like a hero name but he had to focus. "As for the first question, I am but I do have to tell you there's a warning attached." He would have just done it, but that was rude and he didn't like being rude. His mother taught him better.

"I'm not paying you, brat." Kon didn't even think as he replied as Midoriya pouted, offended that he thought he would even ask and that he called him that, 15! He was 15, Dang gawmit!

Reaching for his head, he groaned out the first part. "Why does everyone call me that? And no, we don't need your money. It's just how my quirk works. To heal is to burn, but once done, the burn fades in a couple of hours and you'll be left good as new."

"You're kidding." Kon had heard some crazy shit in his time, and seen it too but he wouldn't say he had seen anything like this.

Midoriya seemed to take his skepticism for awe as he smiled, his body waving in place. "Nope, I heal Nine here all the time, and I heal myself every time I transform, or else I'll be a pile of ash right now." He so casually revealed that he lit his insides on fire just to basic physical boasts and burnt himself to the bone to fully transform that even Nine raised an eyebrow while Makihara muttered something about the kid being insane, a sentiment that Kon was liable to agree with.

"You can trust him, he's not one for needless violence." Nine spoke up as Kon turned back to him before he directed their gaze to the area around, which was still covered in numerous fires, big and small-all of them emerald in color while a good number of the bodies were covered with burns

"You see the flames around us, right?" He asked as Midoriya didn't even blush, he just looked offended but with a face like, he'll have better luck training a puppy to be intimidating for him.

"That's different. I was helping you fight them off, and that meant the ice lady tried to put out my flames, do you have any idea how much that hurts?" He retorted, still upset about that as while he could regenerate just fine, such a rapid cool down was a massive shock to his system and seemed to kick-start his sensory nerves, but such a thing led to sensory overload and felt like he had put the affected body part in a blender on high.

"He burns himself to ash and yet complains about snow," Kon muttered, wondering if the blood loss was making him reckless before he lifted his hand away from his bloody side. "Alright fine, but if you try anything, I'll beat you to death with your arm."

"Understood!" Midoriya hummed as he asked the man to remove his coat and shirt, to save them from the flames. Once that was done, he inspected the wound and turned his hands into stone, shifting their shape into fine bendable needles before reaching into the wound, the scent of burning pork coming from the wound as his heated stone appendages slowly moved through the wound as Kon bite onto a piece of wood that happened to be nearby to silence his cries and cursing. Lucky for both of them, Midoriya found the bullet in short order and removed it, seeing that it was intact which meant no pieces left inside before he sealed the wound shut with a small stream of fire from his mouth.

Kon looked at the area and saw that it looked ugly as hell, the burn still fresh and with it, most of the fur in the area was gone but it was better than nothing as he hoped that the kid hadn't been lying about the healing part as he got up with a groan. Looking down at Nine, he repeated his question from before.

"I want you to join our cause, so we can destroy this unbalanced society that labeled you a monster and villain simply for the fact of what you appear to me." Nine started as Kon scoffed, finding the idea to be absurd.

"You're insane, that can't be done." Villains have tried for decades, but they all failed, most not even reaching the level where All Might had to step in. There were just too many heroes, too many cops, too many walls between them and whatever grand goal they worked towards.

"So, you're content on living like this, forever haunted by those that fear and refuse to understand you?" Nine countered, the heteromorph falling silent for a time before they continued to speak, all the way Midoriya had taken the chance to step away and give them some privacy as he sat with his legs crossed next to Makihara who had released the bodies he had been using and learned against of the few trees that didn't get torn out of the soil or burnt to a crisp.

As they waited for the two to finish their talk, they heard whimpers coming from behind then as Hasaki appeared, no damage was done to her while one of her hair tendrils pulled along a wounded cop. "Look who I found trying to sneak off." She told them, pulling him forward as he called her a bitch, which only made her roll her eyes while the other two ignored it.

"Did you enjoy cutting loose, Hasaki?" She smiled at how innocent Midoriya's question was, as he had already told her he enjoyed stuff like this and looking around, she could see with a closer view that he must have had a grand old-time fighting.

For her, she might not have been as battle-hungry as him, she couldn't deny that the sight of her beautiful hair carving through men and machines like that was a sight to see and made her heart beat like it was dancing in her chest. "It was fun, Midoriya." Makihara gave her a nod, which she returned as the two turned to the conversation happening in the middle, one that seemed like it was bearing fruit but Midoriya's gaze caught the captive hands out of the corner of his eyes, seeing their burnt and mutilated state.

"Hold on, I remember you!" He had only seen that once today, with a little prodding, he convinced Hisaki to let the man go before grabbing him by the leg and dragging him along.

"Hey, Nine! Hasaki found this guy, he's the one that shot Kon!" His efforts to kick him away got him nowhere and nothing other than Koharu lunging for him and biting his nose before wrapping around his neck, strangling him into compliance, but they turned to fear when the two men turned to see him and the rest approaching.

Once there, he dumped the wounded hand at their feet and explained what he had learned in town, with him saying that Koharu heard him when they approached and how he seemed pretty pissed with Kon, so he guesses that he must be the guy whose hero career he ended. "Which just leaves me with a question? Was it unprovoked?" He asked.

"He ru-!" The cop tried to counter this, but Midoriya wasn't having it as he grabbed onto his jaw, his hand transformed as the man screamed in pain.

Midoriya's eyes offered no sympathy for his plight, as he was already keeping the temperature low so while it hurt, it wouldn't do serious harm to him. "It's not your turn to speak, Mr. Cop." Once the man tearfully nodded his head, Midoriya let go of him, but Koharu remained on his person should he decide to display bad manners again.

Kon, seeing this, only gave the wounded man a smirk as he replied to the boy's questions. "It wasn't. The little prick picked a fight with me. I fought back, sure, but he got hurt because he made a mistake." He started, as if they were willing to listen, even bringing over the prick who did it, who was he not to refuse?

"Asshole was always messing with me, looking down on me and making sure I knew it was not a day that went by he didn't go out of his way to make mine hell." Kon started. "But I'm no bitch, so I fought back and one day, he tried to kick me over the head, so I grabbed him by the one leg, and smashed him into the flagpole. It just so happened that his other leg took the brunt of it."

After that, the man found himself under the gaze of the three, each seeming to convey without words what they wished to do to him, as sans Nine who never went through formal schooling, they each had something of a bad experience with bullies and had heard their separate version of events earlier in town. Midoriya tapped the side of his cheek. "Is that right, well that is informative."

"Y-you can't be serious! He's a criminal, he's lying!" The man was grasping at straws, he knew that he was in shark-infested waters but he couldn't just accept that.

"No," Midoriya's refusal silenced him, as the boy's eyes were as unforgiving as a stone and as powerful as a raging inferno as he knelt close to the man, looking him in the eye. "I/m not wise, I still have a lot to learn but I think I know people pretty well. I've met a lot of them, good people and bad." He spared his friends a glance when he said good people. "And then he said that he had a look in his eye, the same one I have when I talk about my bullies."

The man shivered in fear, wondering if the boy was going to burn him, turn him into a charred corpse as Midoriya took a breath and got up. He could admit that he didn't like the man, but he also didn't want to take that step over something so…small. "Because of that, I won't heal you. You were a bad person and it seems like you still are, and the world doesn't need more bad cops." So he made another choice.

That seemed to break the man as whatever fear and sense he still had seemed to vanish as he started to yell at him, spit flying from his enraged lips. "Y-you little shit! You're the one that did this to me! You ruined my hands!" He held up his hands, the pain only stopping thanks to the cold making them numb, but even then, he could barely feel his fingers, much less move them!

"Just like he ruined your leg by the sounds of it," Makihara spoke up, looking towards Kon with a malicious glint in his eye. "Wanna give him the complete set?"

It took both Kon and the cop a moment to realize what he meant by that and while he paled, Kon cracked his neck and smiled as he stepped up. "Gladly. What a fun way to welcome new members." Makihara's wraps grabbed one side of him, while Hasaki's hair did the other, the woman smirking at him, getting ready to enjoy the show while Koharu silenced the man's screams by wrapping herself around his neck, strangling the man once more as Midoriya did the last part, holding the injured leg steady as Kon lifted his foot.

"Wait, hold on, please don't! Don't do this! Don-MOTHERFUCKER!" The man's agony-filled curse was the only thing that managed to break through Koharu's vice grip on his neck as Kon didn't so much break his leg as he shattered and pulverized it, everything below his knee was crushed into the snow-covered earth. The blow robbed the victim of almost all his strength as his leg fell back, the man barely alive.

"There. Last time was an accident. Consider this one payback you pretentious asshole." With that piece said, they turned to leave, Koharu returning to her human, finding the half-dead man to be a cold rock compared to him as Midoriya smiled, shooting a small fireball over his shoulder at the man's leg, the flame cauterizing it to ensure he didn't bleed out.

And with that, the group is fully formed and yes, Midoriya can be both adorable and terrifying at a drop of hate as the energy I'm trying to convey in his cute and/or relaxed moments is the same Frieren does outside battle, like when she's eating comically large food, sleepy, smug or embarrassed. Of course, if you asked anyone in that clearing, they saw Endeavour's rage given form or a flame demon let loose. The next chapter will be out February 7th
