Padme was watching the jedi temple. She saw Barriss Offee heading towards the home of a mechanic. Padme followed her and grabbed her shoulder. Barriss turned to face the senator in the outfit she wore on mustafar in the original history. "Senator why are you following me? "Barriss. "You look like you are up to no good. What are you carrying in that bag? "Padme asked. "What do you care about it. The jedi act like sith and the public hates them. "Barriss groaned. Padme dragged her back to the Jedi Temple and towards Ashoka's quarters.
When they entered Ashoka's quarters Padme found evidence blaming Ashoka for the planned bombing. "Why would you frame Ashoka? "Padme asked Barriss. "So, they would know I did it. "Barriss answered. 'She is Anakin's padawan. He won't become a jedi master if she doesn't become a knight. "Padme said. "I don't care. "Barriss groaned. "Well, I don't want Anakin to end up in that awful black suit again. "Padme growled. Padme grabbed Barriss and headed for the great hall to find Mace Windu there. "Master Windu, that bag Barriss is holding has nanodroids she was going to use to bomb the temple and blame Ashoka. "Padme explained. Mace looked into the bag and saw the nanodroids waiting to be deployed. "Why would you do this and blame your friend? Where did you get those nanodroids? "Mace asked. "The jedi are acting like the Sith. We are being blamed for the war going out of control. None of the jedi care about the helpless people in the way. They march over them like toys. "Barriss groaned. "Mace you guys are supposed to be the guardians of peace and justice. You are just warriors. "Padme groaned. "Who gave you those nanodroids? "Mace asked. "Count Dooku. "Barriss answered. "He is a sith lord. He must have told you to frame Ahsoka so Anakin couldn't become a jedi master. "Padme warned. "He will become a master when Ahsoka becomes a jedi knight. "Padme continued. Barriss was locked in a cell below the temple and later demoted to youngling. Padme returned to her apartment.
The battle of Coruscant raged above and Padme watched something streak across the sky. She knew it was part of the Invisible Hand and Anakin was flying it. She met Anakin by a column. "Anakin, I have something to tell you when we get back to my apartment. "Padme said. Padme grabbed Anakin's hand and hurried back to her apartment. Padme closed the door behind them. "I am pregnant. "Padme asked. "That is wonderful. "Anakin replied. "Why did you wait until we were here? "Anakin asked. "To keep Palpatine from finding out. "Padme answered. "Is Ahsoka a knight yet? "Padme asked. "No. "Anakin replied. "If they don't give you the rank of master don't get upset over it. "Padme said. Next morning Anakin woke up after having nightmares of Padme dying in childbirth. He went to the Jedi Temple. Anakin met with the council. "They denied him the rank of master again. Obi-Wan asked him to spy on the chancellor and Anakin did. That night Anakin sat with Palpatine at an opera. "Have you heard of the tragedy of Darth Plagueis the wise? "Palpatine asked. "He was so powerful that he could manipulate the midi chlorians to create life. He could even keep the ones he loved from dying. "Palpatine continued. "Can this power be learned? "Anakin asked. "Not from a Jedi. "Palpatine answered.
Anakin woke up from nightmares the next morning and headed to meditate and Padme followed him. "I have another nightmare. "Anakin groaned. "I want to have the baby or babies on Naboo. "Padme said. "I am not losing you. "Anakin groaned. "Anakin those visions are fake. Palpatine is creating them to turn you to the darkside. Control your fear. Remember what Yoda said. Fear is the path to the darkside. Fear leads to Anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering. "Padme warned. "You had visions of your mother dying and we saved her. "Padme said. Anakin left. Padme mediated to figure out what to do. She saw Qui-Gon Jinn in front of her as she sat on the floor still in her nightgown. "Anakin is having nightmares about me dying and Palpatine is behind it. "Padme said. "Anakin would do anything to save his family. The Jedi won't help him. "Qui-Gon warned. "He is going to end up in Palpatine's office again. "Padme said. "Padme see why you came back. "Qui-Gon said and then he vanished. What Padme saw was unbelievable. "That can't be true. Maybe it is. "Padme said. She got out of her mediation. Padme met Mom Mothra and Bail Organa. "Padme is that a formal dress with those beads. "Mon asked. "It's a nightgown. I haven't been feeling well lately. "Padme said. "Palpatine won't give back his emergency powers. "Bail said. "He is a Sith Lord named Sidious. You need to get the delegation of the 2000 off world and hidden as soon as possible. I traveled backwards through time from a horrible future in which he ruled the galaxy as emperor and wiped out the 2000. He turned Anakin to the dark side and called him Darth Vader. I died of heartbreak after learning that. Mon Mothra led the rebel alliance which fought against the empire with my children helping it. I must try to save Anakin before it is too late. "Padme warned. "You mean Anakin and your children? "Bail asked. 'Yes, and they had to grow up without their parents. "Padme said.
Later Padme stood on the veranda watching the Jedi Temple. She saw a gunship fly towards Palpatine's office. Then she saw a speeder heading in the same direction. "Anakin you don't need him. "Padme groaned. She ran inside and put on shoes. Then she grabbed a blaster. "What are you doing Miss Padme? "Threepio asked. "Going to save Anakin. "Padme said. "You are not dressed for it. "Threepio replied. "Palpatine is a Sith Lord, and he is trying to turn Anakin to the dark side. "Padme warned. "The odds of defeating a Sith Lord are 100,000 to… "Threepio stopped speaking as Padme reached around his head and shut him down. "Never tell me the odds. "Padme growled. She boarded a speeder. Padme knew she was about to fight a war between angels and demons.
