Chapter 5: Path of the Hero
Heilon walked to the village calmly. These 3 days he was training non-stop letting the clones do their job, so he was confident that he could now deal with the threats alone.
Heilon: Tell me, Rim... Why do you cover your eyes If your eyes are very pretty?

Heilon gets up to go to them, leaving the children in their place, they had to leave the village so Heilon takes all the bags to leave while the children say goodbye, quite sad that Heilon left but he only says goodbye promising come back later

He said with his smile unperturbed by Rem's joke. Once at the mansion, Heilon was arranging her bags in her place to look at Rim who was preparing to continue her work as her servant, but Heilon stops her.

Rim: A-ah yeah? Do you need something sir Heilon?
Heilon: Just tell me Heilon, we are friends, right? I just wanted to know the reason why you hide your eyes?

This catches the attention of Rem who was nearby taking out the supplies from the bags, she approaches when she sees how Heilon took her little sister's hand causing some anger but hearing what he said about her sister being cursed.

He said almost dragging her to Beatrice, he goes to a random door and opens it revealing that it was the forbidden library. Heilon takes Rim to Beatrice who just looks at him with that annoyed look.
Beatrice: What do you want now? I suppose.
Heilon: I need you to check Rim's hand, I think it has a curse and I deduced that as someone skilled in magic you would know how to get rid of such thing.
Beatrice just stared and then saw the worried Rim and Rem. Rem was a little suspicious but if it was really true she had to see, if it was fake then she would accuse Heilon. Beatrice just sighs and walks over to Rim to look at her hand and she slowly opens her eyes in surprise.
Beatrice: A trace of a curse...You really were cursed, in fact!?
She said to the surprise of everyone except Heilon, Beatrice quickly breaks the curse. Heilon simply nods his head to smile as he takes out a small box of ice cream to the surprise of everything, giving it to Beatrice who happily takes it.
Heilon: Good job, Beaka...I have to go now.
Rim: Huh? Where are you going, Heilon?
Heilon: To the village obviously! That dog is still there with the kids so I have to take care of him before he does anything to the kids.
Everyone opens their eyes at Heilon's explanation, who was serious as he was going to leave, but was stopped by Rem's voice.
Rem: Wait, are you going alone?
Heilon: This is an emergency so i need you guys to stay and take care of the mansion and Emily.
Rem: I refuse to let you go alone.
Heilon: Okay, then you can come but only you...Rim will stay.
Rim: Are you s-sure?
Heilon nods and Rem also nods while Beatrice looked at the entire scene, if she wasn't concentrating on her ice cream she would have sent them flying out of her library, Rem asks Rim to tell Roswaal-sama.
When they leave the library there was Ram outside, who looks at all this confused.
Ram: What is happening? Why does it seem like you two gonna leave?
Heilon: A dog in the village cursed Rim even though Beatrice cured her. I will return to prevent more victims.
Ram: If Rem would accompany you, then I will go with you.
Rem: Sissy...

Petra slowly opens her eyes as Heilon begins to use healing magic on her.

He said while she only smiles weakly to close her eyes, fainting again. Heilon takes four of the children while Rem had to take two. Why did she save her? They had only known each other for 3 days, and they didn't even have that good of a relationship. Because? She was being saved by the person she wanted to kill, and she just smiled when the man she wanted to kill saved him. Because? Why was he saving a worthless woman like her? Because?!
She questioned all of this as she watched the Mabeasts push Heilon away, all of them biting him at the same time, Guitylowe biting his right shoulder and the Wagpig biting his left while the Wolgrams bit his legs, torso and even his neck while Heilon squeezed his fingers. teeth strongly.
Rem: Heilon-kun!
Heilon: Rem! Go with my clone and take the children safely to the village as soon as possible!

He said, pointing his fist at Elsa and Luxera, seeing that inside there were several spheres of light representing their abilities, gifts, qualities and more. The tentacle leaves them, returning to Heilon.

She waits for him to raise her hands and above Heilon, spikes of mana fall like rain against Heilon who dodges or destroys by getting closer to Capella, when he was going to touch Capella, she explodes in a pink cloud.
She had used her singular gift as a last resort but Heilon grabbed her and they both flew out of the cloud, Heilon holding her hands draining the mana from her. She was losing strength trying to turn into several ants to escape but she didn't even have the strength for that, she hadn't felt this weak in a long time.
They both looked into each other's eyes, she was very angry by all this because it was promised to her absolute love! It wasn't supposed to be like that.
Heilon now having Capella weak, used his own authority on Capella to take the Lust Factor.
Heilon: Your authority is mine! Leviathan!
He invoke again that tentacle that pierces Capella, entering her belly already knowing what to take, her authority. Slowly a violet-black liquid comes out of the tentacle and covers Capella who was trying to escape from it but she couldn't do anything until she was completely covered, looking like a cocoon.
Apparently taking a authority was more complicated without having to kill the current bearer. Heilon and Capella's soul were connecting. Everything slowly became dark for Heilon and in that darkness he heard a voice.
Emerada: Why? Why do they always lie? Why does everyone lie...?
Heilon was in a void and in front of him was her, Capella, or rather Emerada Lugunica. She was on the floor in what looked like a royal dress, worthy of a princess. When Heilon approached her, the darkness around her receded, leaving them both in a void.
Heilon: Emerada?

He said to her, looking at her, She looks up with tears, staring into his eyes.
Emerada: You...who are you?

He said as the darkness tried to swallow them but Emerada quickly takes Heilon's hand and everything started to glow. She didn't want to sink into that darkness and if she had to risk trusting again then so be it.
Heilon opens his eyes seeing that the cocoon disappears and the tentacle returns to him while Emerada was on the ground.

Heilon felt a tingle in his eyes but he didn't have time as he saw how Luxera and Elsa looked at Heilon in surprise, seeing mother in a defeated state left them speechless. Heilon gets up, taking Emerada off the ground, approaching both of them who get up as best they can.

Heilon can only gasp, falling to his knees, dropping his gun. That was the last of his mana he had left. Rem lets go of Ram's back to run towards Heilon.

She said to jump on top of him, hugging him. Heilon just groan because of the pain, she just cried rubbing her face on his chest while Heilon just puts his hand on her head.
Rem: You are alive, you have stayed alive... Heilon-kun! Heilon-kun! Heilon-kun! Ram, please look for the others...Heilon-kun is very hurt!
Ram nods to run away, Heilon just holds on for help to slowly hold her hand to smile at her again, she just looks down very embarrassed.
Rem: I...I'm sorry, Heilon-kun.
