Angels on a Beach of Clouds!
Sky Island
After Amazon summoned the giant crustacean while having it dragged the ship out of Heaven's Gate, Ventus knew something was wrong when she mentions Heaven's Judgment, and it's telling him that there's gonna be trouble for him and his crew. The Straw Hats are now holding on to something, continued to get dragged up on the clouds.
"My money says that we live through this!" Sanji states.
"A cloud that we're all go to straight up, you might wanna reconsider that bet." Zoro said.
But soon, the giant crustacean makes a turn, causing the ship tilt as Usopp and Chopper were falling off of the ship. Robin was able to catch the reindeer with her Devil fruit power while Sanji and Zoro grabs hold of Nami and Usopp.
"I wonder if this is a natural formation of the clouds!" Nami exclaims, which she wasn't paying attention of Sanji gone goo-goo eyes.
"There's nothing natural about this at all!?" Usopp whimpers in teary eyes.
Luffy just laugh in excitement while holding on to the figurehead. As the giant crustacean continued given the Straw Hats a long wild ride, they saw the entrance that leads to Skypiea.
"Look, the exit!" Chopper said when notices a sign next to the clouds. "They put up a big sign, showing us!?"
"'Godland'?" Robin said, reading out loud in confusion. "What is Godland Skypiea?"
"We're about to find out." Leon answered.
"This isn't the exit! It's the entrance!" Luffy exclaims with a grin as they continued to ride further towards the entrance.
Sky Island, Skypiea
After a long ride from the giant crustacean, the Straw Hats finally arrived at the Sky Island, known as Skypeia which is the same name of the map Luffy found and the information from Cricket mentioned. However when the giant crustacean releases the ship, the Going Merry crashes down into the clouds. Luffy opened his eyes and gasp at the sight he saw. The island they saw was composed entirely of island clouds, it contains a wharf, houses, and many shops. It also gives off a heavenly vibe.
"There it is! Sky Island!" Luffy shouts with a grin when Usopp and Chopper drop their jaws in awe while the rest of the Straw Hats were stunned.
"Wait, didn't the sign we passed say Skypiea?" Robin inquires curiously.
"Yeah, that's the same name scribbled on the map that Luffy found." Nami answered with a smile. "So, I guess that galleon that fell on us actually did come here. The last time they set eyes on this was 200 years ago. I'm amazed that this place stayed beautiful for so long."
"Consider that we now know the Sky Island does exist thanks to the map and the information from Cricket, we still need answers since we didn't get anything from the old man." Leon points out, crossed his arms. "Maybe we should answers from them on this island, they probably know what happen."
Nami, Zoro, Caius, and Ventus could only agree to the mercenaries statement since they came to get answers which they get anything from Gan Fall, but hoping the people who lives on the island knows about it. Once they land, Luffy let out a big inhale and then exhale the air with a big grin.
"You can smell the adventure! Potent as the seaweed and summer~!" Luffy said, then disembarks.
"Wait for me! I like adventure!" Usopp said, the leaps off of the ship and dives.
"Kinda shallow." Luffy warns him but it's too late when Usopp headfirst down into the clouds and collapsed. "Usopp, did you hurt yourself? Hello?"
Usopp then sat up with a pant, turns to Luffy which he's wet.
"Hey, is it just me or is this whole place made of clouds?" Usopp asks, confused.
"Big fluffy ones!" Luffy states with a grin.
"I love this stuff." Usopp said with a grin as he and Luffy laughed excitedly, heading towards the beach.
"Wait! I'm coming with you guys!" Chopper called them, disembarking as he joins the two.
"Me too, but I've gotta change first." Nami said, head towards the cabin.
"Luffy, we may have a problem with dropping anchor here!" Zoro called him. "There's no seabed at the bottom of this cloud."
"You know, I thought about it and who cares!" Luffy said as he and Usopp playfully tackled each other while Chopper joins them.
"What a couple of idiots." Ventus said in annoyance.
"Let them have fun." Caius assures him. "We all know there's no use try to reason with him."
Ventus knows that the Reaper is right about Luffy since he knows the captain too well of his childish antics and his recklessness.
"Come on down and check this out, you guys! The beach is actually fluffy!" Luffy shouts.
"It squishes between my toes, like marshmallow mine!" Usopp proclaims when Zoro drops the anchor.
"What the heck is marshmallow mine?" Luffy asks.
"I don't know, but that's what is' like!" Usopp told him.
"Well...Regardless of how the ground may feel, it sure is an amazing sight." Zoro muttered. "Better than I imagined it."
"Maybe, but there are still dangers and we still don't have any answers we need." Ventus told him seriously. "You'll never know what'll happen."
"Yeah, it's a piece of work, for sure, but I think our shipmates are overreacting." Sanji states with a chuckle, took off his shoes. "Bugs me when they get all worked up."
And soon Sanji disembark as he dives down into the cloud, joining Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper which it got Zoro, Caius, Ventus, and Leon sweat dropped in annoyance.
"When they get all worked up..." Zoro, Ventus, Caius, and Leon muttered when the sound of pecking was heard from the cabin, causing Nami to open the door while the South Bird pecks her on the head.
"OW! You're hurting me! I said I was sorry!" Nami shouts as the South Bird flew away, causing her to groan in pain while rubbing her head on her knees. "Ugh, we forgot about the South Bird! We've really should've let him go. He'll never survive here!"
"I wouldn't sweat it. Birds adapt very quickly to their environments." Zoro points out, watching the bird flew away. "And if not, there seem to be some people living up here. Don't worry about it. He'll he fine."
"Yeah, I guess." Nami said, agreeing to his statement as she turns to him. "Hey, the anchor-"
"Relax, it's already taken care of." Leon cuts in. "We hit the heavier cloud below, which is what we think this island floats on."
"That means that Sky Island floats on the sea of cloud-cover." Robin points out, approaches them. "I wonder if it's stationary in the sky or if it moves with the tide?"
"We can sit on deck all day and pick this whole thing apart, but come on, what fun would that be? Fact is, most of this make zero sense. So, let's make the best of it." Nami said with a smirk, walking towards the railing and disembarking as she lands on the sea of clouds. "This is why we came here, you guys! Welcome to Sky Island! Come on, if I can do this, so can you! Just jump!"
While Nami decided to join her crew at the beach with a laugh, Robin couldn't help but wonder as she turns to Zoro, Ventus, Leon, and Caius.
"Hey, are you guys joining us?" Robin inquires, earned their attention.
"Yeah, we'll be along soon." Zoro replied while Ventus, Leon, and Caius nods as Robin couldn't help but smile and turns away.
"Captain smells adventure, huh?" Robin muttered, watching Nami ran to the beach. "I never stopped to think of anything as adventurous. Maybe I should reconsider my stands."
And with that, Robin jumps out of the ship as she joins with the rest of her crew, leaving Zoro, Leon, Caius, and Ventus confused and wonder what she means by that. While at the beach, Chopper is lying on the clouds which it got him relaxed and very sleepy.
"Something about this squishiness on this island makes me want to sleep all day." Chopper said in a sleepy tone, but he began to roll over at the pile of clouds and into the flat clouds.
"Ahoy! This is your Captain speaking!" Luffy shouts with a grin, hangs upside down at the palm tree after wrapping his leg around it. "I must inform you that this place is too much fun for me to make any more Captain decisions!"
"Aye aye, Captain!" Usopp replied, playing the clouds and piling them on. "What do you say we just sit around and do nothing? Huh?"
"Nothing sounds like a plan to me, denied!" Luffy answered, which he obliviously denied the request.
"But denied means no!?" Usopp protests.
"Such mysterious looking flowers, I've never seen anything like them." Sanji muttered, kneels down and examined the flowers while Chopper rolls the other way. "I wonder if they're balloonish like that sea monster if they'll pop when I pick one."
Once Sanji decided to pick one of the flowers, it actually didn't pop while he starts smelling it. Nami finally made it at the beach as she stretches her arms out while Ventus lands next to her, which he flies over while Leon and Caius were walking.
"This is great!" Nami said with a smile. "Those Marine losers can't follow us up here. So, we can all cut loose."
It got Nami curious when notice something in front of her which was a structure that has two chairs, but Chopper accidently bump into her and he's really dizzy from all that rolling.
"Hey, Chopper, Ventus, what do you guys think that is over there?" Nami inquires curiously.
"A relaxing booth perhaps?" Ventus guessed while Chopper was confused.
"Alright, Mr. Giant Fruit, you're all mine." Luffy declared when he saw a fruit, grabs hold of it and takes a bite out of it, which it's hard as a rock and it causes him to lose some of this teeth. "OW! That hurt! Why is this thing so hard?!"
Luffy bonks the fruit which he thought of an idea when he called Usopp, it got his attention when the rubber Captain tosses the fruit to him and it bashed him in the head and made him land on the clouds in the face.
"YOU PRACTICALLY CRAP MY BRAIN INTO MY CHEST!? WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?!" Usopp yelled as Luffy laughs.
Robin is now at the beach when Sanji ran to her with two flowers on his hand.
"Wait up, Robin, baby~!" Sanji called her, earned her attention. "I've got a present for you, an island flower~! And one for, uh...Nami~! Nami, baby~! Where'd you ran off to~? I've got a gift for you~!"
Once Sanji places the flower onto Robin's head, he ran off to look for Nami. Robin takes the flower and examines it. Apparently, Nami and Chopper are inside of the relaxing room while trying to sit on a chair that's made of clouds.
"I can't believe I'm on a chair made of cloud!" Nami exclaimed excitedly. "I wonder if they have a factory that makes all this stuff."
"This cloud is different from this stuff on the beach." Chopper states while Sanji continued looking for Nami. "It's a lot mushy."
"I didn't figure I'm getting wet walking through clouds." Zoro said.
"Neither of us do." Leon points out. "Then again, we saw Usopp got wet from the clouds while ago during his dive."
Zoro and Caius remembered of Usopp recklessly diving into the clouds without thinking about the consequences and without realizing there's no bottom. They then notice something in front of them.
"What's that?" Zoro muttered as he kneels down and grabs hold of a tail that belongs to a fox, then lifts it up and realizing he grabs hold of the fox. "Ugh, sorry!"
Once Zoro lets go of the fox, it shakes the daze off.
The fox is solid white with squinted eyes and average-sized ears. The mouth somewhat resembles a snout and has never been open. The tail is long compared to its body, and it lighter at the end.
"Huh, what do we have here? Some kinda fox?" Zoro guessed when the music was heard and it got their attention.
"Hm...Was that music?" Luffy asks with his mouth full, still trying to bite that fruit as the Straw Hats turns to the source of that sound of music playing.
"Guys, there's someone over there!" Leon declared, points at the source from the top of the clouds. "On that cloud!"
"Oh great, it's a another monster!" Usopp growled, hiding from the bushes.
"Where's the whistle?! Where's the whistle?! We can ask the Sky Knight to save us!" Chopper shouts, hiding behind Nami.
"No we can't, that's not who you think it is. That right there...is an angel." Sanji corrects the reindeer as the figure continues playing the harp.
"An angel?" Usopp repeats.
While the Straw Hats continued listening to the music, the figure stops playing and turns to them which happens to be a woman.
She's a relatively tall, slender young woman with blonde hair that she wears two braided pig-tails and two antennae sticking at the top of her head. She wears a pink dress with black, flower shaped textures that goes to her thighs. She also wears red and pink striped sandals, that are white at the bottom. She also carries a harp.
"Heso." She greets with a smile on her face.
"Heso?" Luffy and Sanji repeats, which the former is confused while the latter goes goo-goo eyed.
"You think she's trying to say 'hello'?" Usopp inquires, also confused.
"Possible." Caius guessed.
"What does 'Heso' mean?" Chopper asks.
"Must be a greeting from Sky Island." Leon guessed.
"It kinda sounds like 'hello'." Zoro adds, crossed his arms.
"Su, come here!" The woman called which the fox named Su responds and went to her side while she walk towards the fox and the pirates. "Did you come from the Blue Sea World?"
"If that's what you call it, we sailed up a river of clouds to get here." Luffy answered. "Speaking of here, is this your home?"
"Yes, it sure is." The woman answered. "And I like to welcome you to Sky Islands Angel Beach. I bet you like to drink it?"
When the woman noticed a fruit under Luffy's arm, she gestured to the fruit to her. Luffy nodded and gave her the pumpkin-like fruit to her.
"The top of the Conasshu is as hard as steel, it's impossible to crack. So, you have to cut through the underside, like this." The woman explains, turned the fruit out as she took the knife out and cuts a hole in the middle. She then inserts a straw in it. "Here you go."
Once she handed the fruit to Luffy, he took a sip and takes a liking to that drink.
"If it's that good, I gotta some! Come on, give to me!" Usopp exclaims excitedly, took a sip and let out a sigh as she scoops Su up.
"So, who exactly are you?" Ventus asks.
"My name is Conis. And this little one is Su, she's a Cloudfox." Conis informed them. "If you need anything at all, please, let me be of service."
"Yeah, about that. Your eyes are setting my heart on-UWAAAAAH!"
Nami cut him off by pulling Sanji's ear when he's trying to sway Conis.
"Lay off." Nami said in annoyance, pulls him away. "Actually, we've got tons of questions. I hate to bother you, but we've never been any place like this before."
"Sure, ask me anything you want to know." Conis replied when Zoro and Ventus looked out at the White-White Sea and saw something.
"Guys look, something's coming." Zoro informed them which they looked at the direction he and the young Dragoon was looking at, but Conis knows who that is.
"Oh, that's my father." Conis told him.
"Heso, Conis!" The voice of her father called.
"Heso, father!" Conis called back.
"Can't you say 'hello' like normal people?" Luffy said in confusion.
"Hey, Conis, is 'heso' some kinda greeting here?" Ventus asks curiously.
"Yes, that's right." Conis nodded.
"Conis, what's that thing he's riding on?" Nami questioned with a gasp, noticed a vehicle he's riding.
"Oh, that would be my father's Waver." Conis answered, turns to her.
"Whoa! That's awesome!" Luffy declared.
"A Sky Waver." Nami said with awe.
"Gain way, stopping this thing is a bit of a trick!" He called.
However, rather than stopping, the Waver still moved on shore at top speed and crashed into a nearby tree, much to their shock and worry.
He is a Skypeian man with average height. He's almost bald but has the typical Skypiean hair antennae sticking out. He has a strange round beard covering his mouth, and he's always shown with closed eyes, however he seems fully able to both see and talk. His hair antennas and beard are dark brown, along with his eyebrows. He wears a typical Skypeian robes, in his case a brown yellow one with a light yellow collar, light yellow at the end of where the sleeves would be, if it had any, it also has a black leaf like design.
"My goodness, is everyone alright?" He asks with a grunt.
"YOU'RE THE ONE WHO CRASHED!?" Zoro, Leon, and Ventus shouts with white eyes and shark-like teeth.
"Hey Luffy, didn't you bring back something like that Waver from the seabed?" Nami questioned, turns to Luffy.
"Oh yeah, I did, didn't I?" Luffy answered, still drinking the fruit.
"Then that must be the boat we read about in that 'Noland the Liar' book. A boat that can sail without wind." Nami muttered, looking at the Waver.
"Then, there are some parts on the logbook about that boat, there's some truth about it when Noland mentioned it." Leon adds.
"Did you make some friends, Conis my dear?" He asks, holding the Waver.
"Yes, they arrived only a few minutes ago from the Blue Sea World." Conis explains.
"Oh, still adjusting. There must be a great many things that puzzle you about the White-White Sea." He said. "I'm sorry."
"There's no need to apologize." Usopp told him while taken aback from the apology.
"Forgive me for not introducing myself sooner. My name is Pagaya." Pagaya told them.
"Oh, it's uh, very nice to meet you." Usopp said.
"So, father, how is the fishing today?" Conis asks.
"Quite a successful adventure." Pagaya answered as Nami walk towards the Waver. "I have an idea, you should all come over for dinner. We'll fill your bellies with a taste of the island."
"How about for that?! I'm starving!" Luffy answered quickly with excitement.
"Sky Island cuisine!" Sanji adds with a grin. "You mind if I help you prepare it?"
"No." Pagaya answered with a chuckle as Nami looked at the Waver.
"Before we go, I have a question." Nami said, earned his attention. "This boat, it doesn't have any sails to catch the wind and you aren't rowing it either. So, how is it propelled through the water?"
"Oh, of course, your people aren't familiar with Dials, are they?" Conis questions.
"What are dials?" Luffy questions, still with his mouth full.
And the next thing anyone knew, Luffy tried out the Waver. The moment he went out to White-White Sea with it, he couldn't stop the Waver from shaking or couldn't stop it since he's going faster. He ended up crashing into something and causes him to fly into the clouds.
"Oh no! I hope he's alright!" Conis exclaims with a gasp.
"It's all my fault!" Pagya adds, blaming himself. "I shouldn't have let a rookie use the Waver!"
"Since Luffy can't swim, I hope the sea is more buoyant than ours." Sanji said, crossed his arms.
"Maybe." Zoro said, realizing it when Chopper dropped his jaws and turns between the two frantically. "If he can stay floating in the air, then you're probably right. He can handle it."
But it proves Zoro wrong as Luffy starts sinking.
"Huh, he sink." Sanji states, deadpanned.
"It's not the first time I was wrong." Zoro said with a shrug, also deadpanned.
"WAH! I'll save you!" Chopper shouts as he went to help Luffy out.
Few minutes later, Ventus was walking back to shore with Chopper in one arm and dragging Luffy with the other arm.
"Morons!" Ventus growls in annoyance. "Leave it to Luffy riding on the Waver without given him instructions!"
"That was close." Sanji said, grabs the straw hat.
"Close?! Ventus does all the work by dragging these idiots, what do you know about close?!" Zoro retorts in annoyance. "Oh yeah, and thanks for all the help by the way!"
"Is it really necessary for you to jump in too?" Usopp asks in annoyance, turns to Chopper.
"In case you forget, you ate the Devil Fruit, remember." Leon adds which Chopper panic of how scary Sky Island is.
"I apologize for letting him take the Waver out." Pagaya apologizes to them.
"Not your fault, we just know that Luffy always get himself into trouble, consider how much of an idiot he is." Ventus told him, then turns to Luffy in annoyance.
"With its light body, even a small wave can shake the rudder. Unless you know the White-White Sea like the back on your hand." Pagaya said with an understanding. "The Waver is almost as impossible to ride. Again, I am really sorry."
"It's only recently that I became good enough to ride it." Conis said, but no one is paying attention of Nami riding a Waver.
"Whoa! Is it really that hard?!" Chopper asks shockingly.
"It usually takes 10 years of training to drive it." Pagaya points out.
"YOU'VE GOT TO BE JOKING!?" Chopper cried out.
"But it looks like we have ourselves a prodigy." Leon said, looking out the sea and watch Nami riding the Waver.
"WOW! LOOK AT HER GO!?" Usopp exclaims in shock with budging eyes, sticking his tongue out.
"This is wonderful!" Nami shouts.
"Nami~! You're a vision riding that Waver~!" Sanji said, gone goo-goo eyes.
"That's incredible!" Pagaya said, impressed. "I can't believe it! This is her first time?"
"Yeah! How come she can do it and I can't?!" Lufyf questions with his jaws dropped in shock, budging his eyes.
"When it comes to riding it, she has the knack of it, and you don't." Caius points out, crossed his arms.
"Wow! This really requires skill! No wonder you had a hard time, Luffy!" Nami shouts with a laugh, which Luffy didn't like that.
"NAMI! WE'RE INVITED TO DINNER! SO, GET OFF THAT THING AND STOP BEING SO RUDE?!" Luffy yelled angrily with a tick mark on his fists and steam coming out of his head.
"Talk about rude." Sanji muttered in annoyance, axe kicked him at the top of his head.
"STUPID WAVER HOG!?" Luffy yelled again which Nami simply ignored him.
"Go on ahead!" Nami shouts to her crew, then turns to Pagaya. "If it's okay with Pagaya, I'd like to stay out here and ride!"
"That's fine! Just be careful!" Pagaya replied with a warning.
"Riding this freely on the open ocean without worrying about the wind is like a dream. I wonder if we can use these under oceans back home?" Nami questions herself with a smirk as she continues riding the Waver.
While Nami is far off distance into the White-White Sea, the rest of the Straw Hats, Pagaya, and Conis were making their way up the stairs.
"Whoa! Is that some kind of factory?" Usopp asked when Chopper is next to him.
"Indeed it is." Pagaya replied when they watch the people cutting up the clouds. "That is our cloud quarry site, it's where our clouds are manufactured and cut to meet all types in need."
"I didn't know you can cut a cloud." Zoro points out.
"You did take the Milky Road to get to the White-White Sea, correct?" Pagaya asks.
"'Milky Road'? Is that the name of the current we took?" Leon questions back.
"Yes, it's a canal constructed by our engineers and made, using the natural clouds we quarry." Pagaya explains. "There are actually two types of natural clouds on our island: Your ship traveled atop of what we call the Sea Clouds. And the ones that float on their own that we can stand on and build on are called Island Clouds. "
"They're not the normal clouds that we're not used to, are they?" Zoro questions while Usopp and Chopper are playing around in the clouds.
"No, the conscientization nucleus is different from what you usually see." Pagaya answered. "It has to do with the mineral found in the Blue Sea World called Sea Prism Stone."
"'Sea Prism Stone'? What does that have anything on the clouds?" Robin inquires curiously.
"It's like this. Inside the Sea Prism, are corneous particles called Pyrobroine, during the volcanic eruptions, these particles gained moisture and ascend it into the sky." Pagaya explains. "Our clouds are form of based of the density of the moisture."
"Oh. Yeah, I heard about those things." Luffy said, pretending to understand.
"Sure, I remember that from when I was a kid." Usopp lied, also pretending to understand. "We use to always-OW!"
"Quit pretending to be smart that you two are not!" Ventus said in annoyance after whipping Usopp and Luffy with his tail.
"And enough sarcasm!" Sanji adds, correcting the two.
"In all actuality, there are three types of clouds that we use in our day today." Pagaya continues. "The Sea and Island types are natural, the manmade ones come from Island Clouds. Now, is you follow me please."
Eventually, they arrived at Pagaya's place.
"Check out the view from up here!" Luffy shouts while Zoro, Usopp, Robin, Ventus, and Caius entered inside.
"Look! If you squint, you can see Nami riding the Waver!" Chopper declared.
"Luffy, what are you waiting on?" Sanji asks, notice Luffy watching Nami riding the Waver from the far distance.
"How come she's so good at that stupid thing?" Luffy groans in jealousy. "FALL OF-UGH!?"
"Cut it out!" Sanji and Leon cuts in, bonks him in the head.
"OW! Thanks you guys, you just made me bite my tongue! I'm bleeding!" Luffy complains.
"Grow a pair, will ya!" Leon remarked.
"Poor baby!" Sanji said sarcastically. "Hey, Pagaya, which way to the kitchen?"
"It's right up here!" Pagaya replied.
As soon as Sanji and Ventus decided to help out when they're inside of the kitchen, the cook was about to sample of the jar which the young Dragoon snatched it.
"Come on, Ventus, don't be a greedy pig!" Sanji shouts. "I need to savor it if I want to make something."
"Yeah, but you also need to know that this one is spoiled." Ventus told him, turns to Pagaya. "Hey, how long has it been?"
"Oh, um, it's been around months ago because it's spoiled." Pagaya replied nervously.
"See?" Ventus said with a smirk.
"Give me that!" Sanji said angrily, quickly grabs the jar and throws it to the ground. "Why did you leave that stuff sitting around?!"
In the living room, the rest of the Straw Hats and Conis can hear Sanji complaining when they're trying to relax.
"Sounds like they're having fun in the kitchen." Luffy states.
"I bet Sanji is just excited about Sky Island food being such a new thing." Usopp adds with shrug which Zoro, Leon, and Caius doubts that.
"So, uh, I was wondering." Robin said, turns to Conis. "Could you explain some more to us about these Dials you've mentioned earlier?"
It got Ventus' attention when Robin requested her to explain about the Dials since he picked them up from the wreck back at sea, with Caius' help.
"Sure, but it's complexed. I don't exactly know where to start." Conis points out as she walk passed Chopper, who's relaxing at the couch and handed the Dial to Luffy.
"Hmm, this doesn't look like a Dial, it's just a seashell." Luffy states with a hum, looking at the Dial.
"Yes. At first glance, but why don't you put it to your mouth and talk." Conis instructed him.
"Like this?" Luffy said which it took a few seconds to think of something to say. "USOOP STINKS!"
"Why'd you always pick on me?" Usopp whimpers as Conis giggles.
"Now, just press down the apex of the shell." Conis said.
"Hm, wanna tell me what an apex is?" Luffy inquires.
"It mean vertex or highest point." Usopp answered in annoyance, pressed the apex at the Dial repeated what Luffy and Usopp said seconds earlier which it got them shocked.
"AHH! THE SEASHELL'S MAKING FUN OF USOPP TOO!" Luffy exclaims, freaked.
"What did I ever do to you, seashell?!" Usopp followed with shark-like teeth.
"Hey, that's a neat trick." Zoro states in amazement. "So, it can store any sound and play it back?"
"Then, that shell is one of the Dials." Robin said, crossed her arms.
"Yes, we call this one a Tone Dial." Conis answered. "It's a shell from the White-White Sea that records and plays whatever it hears."
"Wait, I didn't think there was a bottom to this sea on Sky Island." Leon points out. "Where did these come from?"
"They live in the shallows in the Cloud Reefs." Conis answered.
"I still don't see that thing could move the Waver." Caius states.
"Well, that's because this is the kind of powers the Waver. It's smaller, but it does demonstrate the same process. Here, let me show you." Conis explains when she grabs another Dial and brought it up to the wind chime, pressed the apex, releasing some wind.
"So, this one blows wind out of its backside?" Usopp asks in amazement.
"Let me see!" Luffy said as Conis hands it to him.
"This is called a Breath Dial. It allows you to have the ability to store the wind and expelled it of your desire." Conis explains when Luffy winds up the Dial, but presses the apex when it blows right up in his face. "The wind capacity varies depending on the size of it shell. If you attach the right size to the aft of the ship, you can move along swiftly."
"Huh, I've never heard of anything like that." Caius said. "But it does explain how the Waver moves swiftly without the wind."
"I get it now, the Waver move by blowing the stream of wind through the water!" Usopp summed up, watching Nami at the balcony.
"That Waver is fun!" Luffy commented.
"Dials don't just power Wavers, there's also the Skating kind, the Board kind, but I don't go for those, the Waver is about as crazy as I get." Conis explains.
"I wish I was out there on that thing instead Nami!" Luffy said in envy, watching Nami riding the Waver. "And I could be if I can just figure out how to fix the one we have."
"Hold on, you guys have a Waver?" Leon asks, turns to them curiously.
"Yeah, but it's kinda hard to tell if it's what it is." Usopp answered, turns to the mercenary. "Not to mention that hunk of junk is 200 years old and a total wreck, there's no way it works."
"That might not be the case ." Conis said which it got their attention. "Dials are made for the remains of dead fish. They can last indefinitely, so long as the shell itself isn't broken, you might get lucky."
Zoro, Caius, and Usopp are catching on of what Conis told them which it got them realizing something as the swordsman stood up from the seat and head towards the kitchen.
"Hey, kid, we still have those Dials on our ship?" Zoro questions, earned his attention.
"Yeah, why do you ask?" Ventus asks back, helping Sanji cook.
"You have those Dials?" Pagaya inquires.
"Yeah, we found them in the shipwreck a while back." Ventus answered. "And as far as I can tell of what Conis told you guys, the Dials are the seashells that can take in and releases different properties."
"Oh yeah, I forgot about them." Sanji muttered. "But we're still not using them after what one of them did to you and Usopp."
After hearing of Ventus' explanation, Luffy would rather have him get the Dials which of course, he'll refuse.
"And if Ventus is right about one thing, there are many types of Dials." Robin states when Zoro appeared as she points at the Dial in front of her. "Is this one here?"
"Yes, that's a Lamp Dial." Conis replied when she turns on the Dial.
"Wait! It went from the inside!" Chopper exclaims.
"Right. There are Flame Dials that store heat and fire, Flavor Dials that stored various tastes and aromas, and Vision Dials that stores everything the user sees which you can watch again and again." Conis explains.
"I wanna live in clouds for the rest of my life!" Chopper said in teary smile.
"To be honest, we couldn't really sustain life here in the clouds without these Dials." Conis told her. "Our culture has evolved with the Dials. I suppose in the same way, they evolved in the White-White Sea."
While at the White-White Sea, Nami continued to ride on the Waver which she's having fun. But, it got her attention when she sees an island and it got her curious as she began to ride through the sea of clouds, heading to the island. Back at the kitchen, Sanji and Ventus came into the room with the food prepared.
"Ladies and gentlemen, dinner is served. We have for your Sky Lobster with a special sauce and a side of Island Fruits that I can't pronounced." Sanji introduced.
While the Straw Hats are enjoying the food, mostly Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper, Sanji went out of the balcony while smoking. Sanji then looked at the view and notice someone's missing.
"Hey guys, any of you know where Nami is?" Sanji asks.
"I think she's riding the Waver!" Luffy answered simply, causing Sanji to turn to them.
"I don't see her." Sanji points out.
"She probably went out too far, she's like that. Who cares!" Usopp said which it got Conis shocked. "You should have some of this."
It got Conis turned to her father, who's worried.
"I'm worried, do you think she's okay?" Conis questions.
"I have my concerns, but I can't say one way or the other." Pagaya told her.
"Is there something we should know?" Leon asks, noticing their worried looks.
"In the clouds, there's a place called the Upper Yard that no one is ever allowed to set foot on." Conis explains. "It's not too far away, it would only be a short trip by Waver from here. I'm afraid your friend Nami might have set ashore there out of curiosity."

And Conis is right, Nami did land ashore when she notice the island that has a land full of large trees and has a jungle theme.
"They're huge...What is this?" Nami asks herself in shock.

"What do you mean by 'no one is ever allowed to set foot on'?" Ventus questions.
"It's sacred ground." Conis answered.
"'Sacred Ground'?" Robin repeats, earned a nod from her.
"But it's so much more than just...It's the island where God lives." Conis answered in grimace.
It got the Straw Hats grimace after Conis told them about the Upper Yard, but hoping that Nami made it out of the island alive and not entering there.
