As the rest of Five 0 races against the time to find their friend and prevent more carnage, they realize the two things are connected, and that there's a reason their island was targeted. Make as many enemies as they do, and it's bound to catch up with you eventually.

Steve is wanting to have a peaceful day off...that is until an 18 year old kid named Jay shows up on his doorstep. He's claiming that they have put Shelburne, whoever or whatever Shelburne is, in danger and that if they work together that they may be able to help whatever Shelburne is. The problem, though, is that Steve doesn't know that is his little brother. Bad summary. Pls R&R

And he only has two things on his mind. The first is to find the garbage(s) that did this. The second, let Catherine remember. Remember her life, him, them.

The team catches an interesting case.

And later a young girl shows up at headquarters and, convinced that her mother has been murdered, asks the team for help. However, the case develops very differently than expected and old secrets are revealed...

My first ever fanfiction story. In my mind, Steve and Catherine belong together. So this is my take on what could happen. Set after S09E10. Rated T, rating may change but I won't alter it here, as it disappears from most lists.
