Chapter One: A New Dog
One evening as Alexis is inside Jill's house with Honey and Chief she soon begins to head toward the doggy door.
"Where are you going Alexis? It's late." Honey says as she and Chief look at Alexis.
"Yeah. You can't possibly need to go to the restroom since we all went not long ago." Chief says.
"Oh I'm just going out for a run." Alexis says.
"A run? Didn't you go for one yesterday?" Honey asks curiously.
"Yeah but I wasn't gone as long as I wanted. Don't worry I won't be gone all night. I just want to go running. I'll be back soon." Alexis says as she smiles and wags her tail.
"Alright. Be careful. Wolf or not you know Jill would have a heart attack if anything happens to any of us." Honey says.
"I know. I wouldn't do anything to worry Jill. See ya later Honey, Chief." Alexis says as she leaves out the doggy door.
*Timeskip*
"Ah. It the night air feels so amazing." Alexis says as she is running through the woods and stops by a mountain air to drink from a pond.
"It certainly does feel great." A female voice says.
"Huh? Who said that?" Alexis asks as she looks around.
"I did." The voice says revealing to be a reddish brown female dog.
"Who are you?" Alexis asks curiously.
"I could ask you the same thing lass. What's a pretty little thing like you doing up here in the woods at night?" The dog asks as she smiles.
"Why are you out here?" Alexis asks curiously.
"I'm out here because I wanted to get a bit of time away from my owner and enjoy the night. How about you?" The dog asks.
"Honestly? Same. I love going for runs at night." Alexis says as she smiles.
"I do as well. It always makes me feel great feeling the wind in my fur." The dog says happily.
"Me too." Alexis says as she and the dog chuckle slightly.
"Well looks like we have something in common there lass." The dog says as she smiles.
"I guess so. Are you new here? I've never seen you before." Alexis says.
"Yes. I recently uh moved here. What is your name lass?" The dog asks.
"Alexis and you are?" Alexis asks curiously.
"My name is Ruby. You have a lovely name lass." The dog says as she smiles and wags her tail.
"You too Ruby." Alexis says kindly.
"Well I was about to go back to town. Would you like to come with me? We could make a race out of it." Ruby says.
"Uh sure. That sounds fun." Alexis says happily as she wags her tail.
"Come on then." Ruby says as she and Alexis take off running.
*Timeskip*
Later as Alexis and Ruby come to a stop in town they both begin panting.
"That was a smash huh lass?" Ruby asks happily.
"It was great. You kept up with me pretty well. Not many can do that." Alexis says.
"Well you maybe a wolf lass but I'm fast myself." Ruby says as Alexis looks at her in surprise.
"You can tell that I'm a wolf? And you're not afraid of me?" Alexis asks.
"What's there to be afraid of? You seem quite kind to me. And besides I like a gal who's a little different." Ruby says as she smiles.
"Thanks. I like you too Ruby." Alexis says as she smiles.
"You're a sweet one. Anyway would you maybe want to do that again sometime?" Ruby asks.
"That would be great." Alexis says.
"Well I'm not doing anything tomorrow. Same place? Same time?" Ruby asks as she smiles.
"Sounds fun. Let's do it." Alexis says happily.
"Great!" Ruby says as she smiles.
"Alexis!" A voice shouts revealing to be Honey as she comes running over.
"Honey?" Alexis asks.
"There you are. I was looking for you." Honey says.
"Oh sorry. I was just hanging out with my new friend." Alexis says happily.
"Friend? Alexis there's no one here but us." Honey says as Alexis sees Ruby is gone.
"Oh I guess she went home." Alexis says.
"Which is what we should be doing too. Come on. Jill was looking for you." Honey says.
"Yeah. Alright Honey." Alexis says as she leaves with Honey.
