Paul saw there were a few cars parked when he showed up at the office.

He walked up to the door, but nobody was in front of him or anything.

After closing the door, Paul asked if Hamilton was still in.

"Yes, Mr. Drake. He said something about expecting you."

"Thank you. I'll just knock on the door."

He did just that.

"Hi, Paul. Come in."

"I have some updates for you."

"About Perry?"

"Yes. He doesn't know about this one."

"What do you mean by that?"

"I spoke with the doctor. He doesn't want Perry to drive anymore for a while. He said it was dangerous for him right now, but thinks Perry would need someone to stay for a while with him."

"What was his reaction?"

"He sounded like he didn't like the idea. Doctor thinks he shouldn't see his car quite yet either."

"I like those ideas the doctor mentioned. Did he said he would show up in court?"

"Yes. I gave him the time and everything."

"What made you say Perry didn't like the idea from the doctor?"

"He reminded me of the last case we had a couple months ago, but said his mother hasn't spoken to him since. I understand that."

"What happened there?" Hamilton asked.

Paul told him.

"I remember that one. Maybe she might change her mind and forgive him."

"I told him the same thing. I haven't told him anything about his car, but Della thought I should check on it. Maybe there will be changes, I don't know."

"She's right about checking in on the car. Just don't say anything to him about the car quite yet."

"I haven't. He feels bad that he couldn't drive right now."

"Did the doctor say anything about this?"

"Yes. He thinks Perry will be confused for a while longer, which makes sense to me."

"I see his point. I'm sure he wouldn't be confused too much when he gets on the witness stand. Do we have anymore people who witnessed him being blacked out?" Burger asked.

"I don't know who reported him to the ambulance and be taken to the hospital. I wish I knew. Maybe talk with those paramedics and see if they have any suggestions and we can go from there."

"Do you still know their names?"

"I do," Paul answered.

"Is there any place I could contact them?"

"Let me take care of it instead. I was the one who learned their names. Maybe you might ask them to show up at the courtroom in a few days."

"Of course that's the plan."

There really wasn't much to say after that.

"I don't think there's anything new after that, Hamilton. Just wanted to update you."

"When you talk with those paramedics, let me know what they say."

"You will know. I can give them your contact."

"Thank you, Paul. I'd appreciate that."

Paul let himself out of the office.

Note: Do you think Perry's mother will be able to forgive him after the last case? Find out!
