A/N: There will be no rhyme or reason to these. There will be no specific genre/theme. I will just write as I'm inspired. Some will be based off of specific episodes and continuations of scenes. . . others might go off course / be AU / whatever I'm feeling. I will update character pairings as I go, if needed.

Disclaimer: I do not own the Power Ranger franchise series. I am just a fan writing fanfiction.

Chapter 1: What Am I Going to Wear?

"Well. . . I'll see ya there. Bye."

"Bye. . ."

Kimberly remained transfixed on Tommy for several more moments as he walked off towards and disappeared up the stairs. A grin spread across her lips, revealing her teeth as she thought about seeing him later. Though, the sound of the school bell ( annoyingly! ) snapped her back to reality.

She shook her head of the thoughts and grabbed the rest of her things, practically slamming her locker in pure excitement.

Kim couldn't believe Tommy actually said 'yes' to hanging out at Ernie's after school!

Tommy .

What a name!

She wouldn't ever forget his name or face.

He was so cute!

Kimberly beamed as she all- but -skipped away from her locker.

"Oh no. . ." Trini came up behind her with her own books in hand. The two shared the next period together and always met at this time to walk to class.

"What?" Kimberly looked over at her friend. Even though she was trying to play it cool, she couldn't help the wide smile or the pure elation she felt!

"I know that look."

"What look?" Another attempt at playing 'innocent' and 'cool'. It clearly wasn't working. She was so totally going to have to work on her 'Poker Face'. "I don't have a look."

Trini let out a soft laugh. "Oh there's a look. And you know there's a look."

"Fine." Kimberly sighed with a soft chuckle of her own. "Remember the new kid at Jason's match?"

"Yeah . . ." Trini drew out the word and grinned even more, leaning in close to Kimberly.

"His name is Tommy and he said yes to hanging out with us today at the Youth Centre after school!"

Kimberly beamed and so did Trini. They both let out playful laughs. But before Trini could say anything in response, Kimberly gasped.

"What am I going to wear?" Her eyes went wide.

Trini's brows furrowed. Kimberly watched as the other eyed her up and down.

"What you're wearing is perfect."

Kimberly pulled away. Her expression was one of shock and disbelief, but she knew better than to expect any other answer from Trini. It was one of the many things she loved about her best friend. However, at this moment, there was a cute boy who she was hoping to get to know more. . . and a pep-talk about " it's what's on the inside that counts " or whatever Trini was going to share . . . really wasn't what she wanted to hear.

"You know what I'm going to say."

Kimberly locked eyes with Trini and stared for a few moments before releasing a heavy sigh in resolve.

"You're right—uggghh !" She threw her head back for a moment.

"I know." Trini smiled and wrapped her arm around Kimberly's shoulder.

"I wouldn't have time to go home and change any way."

Trini rolled her eyes and shook her head in what Kim knew to be a playful and amused manner. The two shared a laugh and walked off to class together.

Kimberly knew Trini was right, and all she cared about anyway was getting to see and spend time with Tommy later. This was going to be the longest second half of the school day ever. She would so totally be counting down the minutes.
