Ever had one of those days where you're just minding your own business when the sky suddenly just starts falling on you? Well, not literally, but in my case… kinda of.

I was just relaxing at home; a small house that is only one floor, but cheap and good enough to get by. The TV on while I was in the kitchen making lunch for myself, when suddenly I heard a strange sound.

Wasn't sure what it was and if I had to guess a sort of 'whooshing' sound?

And in the next few seconds cracking could be heard above my when I looked up and suddenly the roof broke down in front of me.

Good news. It missed me entirely and I didn't get hurt.

Weird news. Apparently someone just dropped in by going through my roof.

Bizarre news. Someone with six feathery wings and a halo above their head in a light blue dress.

The person, obviously a girl by her figure, started choking from the debris that kicked up in the air and waved her hand in front of face to clear the air.

It took a few seconds before the dust was gone and the winged girl blinked and looked around before her eyes landed on me.

She chuckled awkward and apologetically. "Oh, hey there! Sorry… I just wanted… I mean, I didn't mean to crash through your roof just now. I wanted to visit the Living World so much for so long and since I couldn't get permission I well… I kinda just snucked out without telling Sera. I promise I'll fix your roof in a jiffy!"

She quickly got up and patted her dress down before looking back at me with an adorable and cheery expression.

I quietly chuckled to myself. Can't really be mad at such sincere sweet girl.

"No problem? Are you OK?" I awkwardly blurted out. I was still reeling back at what happened and looking at her I'm slowly beginning to figure out what this strange girl is.

She smiled brightly at my positive (sort of) response. "Yeah! I'm totally fine, thanks for asking! I'm Emily by the way. Or Em, Emmy, E or whatever what you want I'll go by it! *Giggles* What's your name?"

The winged girl was jumping up and down excitedly before she stuck out her hand for a handshake.

I grabbed her hand and gave a gentle shook as I told my name which apparently she really liked.

"That's such a lovely name!" She squeaked cutely. "It's really wonderful to meet you, (Y/N)! Oh, before I forget."

She looked upward and raised her hand as an orb of light shone. The bright light blinded me for a second before everything went back to normal. As my eyes readjust themselves I looked up and noticed the hole in the roof was gone and back to normal.

I blinked a few times, slightly stunned, before returning my gaze back to Emily.

A gave a short chuckle and an appreciative smile. "Thank you, Emi. You don't know how many times I had people come over and never fully clean up after themselves."

"Emi," Emily gently repeated the name as a light blush formed on her name. She placed both her hands on her face and started giggling.

The sound of her giggling was so adorable I forgot about the absurdity of the situation I found myself in.

Ah, well. You only live once and having a being from the heavens above dropping through your roof isn't that much home to write about.

Just another Tuesday. And it is Tuesday today.

"I love it. I knew you were a wonderful human from the first glance. I hope you don't mind, but could you show me around? I want to get to know humans better and their world. I want to be the best Seraphim I can be so I can help any and all souls that come to Heaven."

And thus my new life began with this charming angelic girl visiting me ever so often to show her around town and the people that live here.

You know, you ever had parents that worried you'll grow up old and alone and egg you on about finding a girlfriend throughout most of your teenage and young adult life? Or, how a girl won't fall out of the sky one day for me to meet one.

Well, they never expected an Angel now did they?

It's been a week since Emily first dropped into my life, she laughed when I made that joke, and I've been showing her around.

First one, using her Angelic magic she gave herself a human disguise to blend right in.

Very fitting. She simply wore mostly the same light blue color; a long-sleeve jacket, skirt, and sneakers. While wearing a white shirt and white leg stocking. She even did her hair into a ponytail which looked really cute on her.

After I agreed to show her around my home town, we left immediately. And what I mean is she grabbed my arm excitedly and we bolted out of the home in an instant.

I couldn't help, but find the whole action utterly adorable laughing all the way from my house.

Once we got to town I took Emily to various locations. The super markets, arcades, the theater, the park, and beach areas.

Along the way, Emily would point and ask me about the items we humans sold like a child in a candy story. Gasping at every new thing, a big wide smile on her, energetically asking if we could try it, and mainly hanging out with the two of us.

I found every little facial expression Emily made adorable and priceless. Her smiles could end wars and bullying I swear.

I never knew an Angel could be so innocent. I might not read the Bible that much, but don't sometimes Angel show a strict and stern side at lot? Especially when you screw up? And have very… beyond human comprehension in appearance?

I shrugged. Not important I guess.

On one day we played at the Arcade together, Emily really loves the racing games but doesn't like it when other players ram into her car. Or me, as she looks at me with an adorable pout and not-so-menacing glare which I chuckled at.

But her favorite is the Dancing Machine and she loves dragging me as her dance partner. Where does she get the energy to keep on going for hours?

We got for ice creams so after.

And on other day we went to the theaters to watch a movie. Given her sweet, caring, and innocent nature I believed a more friendly adventure movie was more fitting. We went to go see that 3D animated movie about a pair of brothers in a magical land to help a princess against a fire-breathing king wanting to marry her and take her land.

I think it's fine enough and I do love the games this movie is based on. Though Emily did cry at parts like how the father didn't believe in his sons, the King getting rejected by the Princess even if he was the bad guy, the brotherly moments and their father finally approving them, and the happy note of an ending.

Yes. It was wise to see this movie instead. Do not bring her to horror movies. Ever.

That said, during the film she would occasionally whispered a question to me while leaning on my arm. She quietly squealed in her seat what something amazing the hero did or how he bonded with the princess. She would wrap her arms around my arm and hum contently while resting her head on my shoulder.

I'm not sure if she's doing this intentional or not, but it never fails to make my heart go faster.

Emily is a very cute and beautiful girl.

On our outings she learns holding my hand, nuzzling against my cheek, jump up and down while clasping my hand. Whenever we go out to the town as her knowledge and experience with human culture grows.

By the end of the day, she thanked me and headed back to Heaven to make sure someone named Sera doesn't catch wind of what she's doing and promises to come back the next day. She gives me a quick hug before opening a portal and waving goodbye.

My life turned quite curiously, but I've had the most fun in ages thanks to her. And I enjoy how touchy-feely she is as most people don't seem to want to hug friends anymore. I do love her hugs, they're so… warm and peacefully.

Never realizing until later how much I smile stupidly and blissfully when I recall Emily's hugs.

Despite having the time of my life with Emily there's something I have to ask. Why is she so interested in learning about humans so much? If Angels watch us from high above they should know what humans are like nowadays, right?

The next day when we went into town together we venture outside of our usually routine to even spots I didn't even about and got some ice cream and chatted away at bench looking at to the sea.

Now is a good of time to ask her about it. But, I'm not sure how I should ask or maybe this is a sensitive topic? Great now I'm getting cold feet.

Emily seemed to notice as she looked in my direction with a worried look. "Is there something wrong?"

Our eyes met and I took a deep breath. "Well… this has been on my mind for a while, but I'm really curious. Why did you come," I quickly looked around, "deep here? Shouldn't you be able to see where people are from where you live? Why learn about us?"

Emily's eyes flashed wide before turning away from me and looking down to the ground. Oh dear, I killed the mood.

"Listen you don't have to answer. I'm sorry if it came off as rude to ask especially when we were having a great time today. We can forget about it and just go on our day if you want."

Emily shook her head. "No. It's fine. I never really explained before why I wanted to learn about humans did I? I'm the one who's sorry for not telling you right now."

She turned towards me with a sad smile. She shook her head and turned intently at the open sea. I was caught off to see such a steely look in her eyes.

"The reason I came down here was because… I wanted to know the souls here live and acted to their day-to-day lives and wonder what gets them sent to Heaven or… Hell. When it doesn't look like they anything serious to be sent down there."

I blinked. Not what I expected.

Do Angels not know what get people into Heaven? Don't they have someone at the gates that has their names and deeds they did in life to explain why they get into Heaven?

"I've recently…," Emily bit her lips looking uncomfortable and sad, "learned something Heaven does that I don't agree with me. And I want to do everything in my powers as Seraphim to fix this problem and help all souls who need and deserve it."

She straightened her back and gazed at me with a fiery passion in her eyes that I couldn't help, but sit and listen without question.

"And I met a new friend that wants to help wayward souls so much and want to support her any way I can. But, I don't really know humans a lot and Heaven simply awaits when a soul arrives. So, I decided to venture down here to see what humans are really like. I know not all souls are equal and innocent, but I don't know how to tell apart one person that can redeem their past mistakes to someone who refuses and prefers being the way they are."

She recalled the few instance where we ran into a bunch of hooligans harassing store owners and passersby and we both came to talk sense into them, but scoffed and made rude comments to us. I remember getting in front of Emily to make sure they didn't do any funny business.

Something Emily is grateful for. With a blush on her face and heart beating strongly than before.

Until the punks left with no issues thankfully but not learning their lesson either.

She sighed dejectedly. "I'll admit, I've very naive when it comes to these kinds of matter." She regained her steely look again. "But, that's why I don't want to look away. I need to see the good and bad in people and see what I can do as an Angel to help find their way back. No matter how bitter it is."

Emily looked back at me with a bright smile on her face again. "That's why I'm so happy the very first soul I bump into was ever so kind and wonderful soul that I believe humans are truly capable of. I do feel bad dropping on you, but I wouldn't change it for the world."

My face slightly heated up when she said that. "I'm glad to. Having you in my life fills me with happiness I never thought possible before. Thank you Emily, and I'm happy to show you around."

The Seraphim's heart fluttered again. It was like that the first time she saw her human friend but she believed it was excitement meeting a human for the first time. But, she soon realized what this feeling truly was...

However, before she popped that question there was another one she wanted to ask.

"By the way, you're surprisingly accepting to have met an Angel," Emily pointed out with a curious look on her face. "I thought you'd be more… in disbelief at first? But you treated myself as an Angel like another normal thing in your life. Why?"

Hmmm. I guess that would be a little weird I guess. "How do I put it? It's not the weirdest thing to happen to me I suppose. I just chalked it up as another strange thing in my life."

"Oh?" Now Emily was very curious. "Like what, if you don't mind."

I rubbed my chin to recall the past few events in my life. "Hmmm, let's see. I think one time I believe I saw a couple of sheep and a baby zooming by my window one day to somewhere? It looked like they had wings. Wasn't sure, but I let it go."

Emily blinked and muttered to herself. "Cherubs?" Didn't sound like they were sent to watch over him otherwise she would've seen them by now. Maybe for someone fortunate enough?

"And there was this one time I went out of town to buy some souvenirs for my family when there was this giant monster fish attacking the beach? I saw it in the distance and I was thinking 'people really need to stop throwing waste into the ocean' and I moved along after it was dealt with I heard."

Emily did a double-take. "What?"

"And further back I saw three red little people jumping from roof to roof. Then some crashing in the alleyway, some dropped a book and I handed it back to this little red lady who came looking for it. She was very nice. All smiles and we waved happily at each other and went about our day."

Emily looked very concerned at this point. (Imps in the Living World? But, it seems like nothing bad happen so maybe they're friendly ones. I've heard Imps are known pranksters.)

"Hmmm, the weirdest part was it all happened on a Tuesday each time too. Like how we first met. It's always a Tuesday. Weird," I shrugged. Why is it always a Tuesday.

"O-okay I see?" Emily chuckled nervously. "Well… that explains a lot. I think?"

She glanced back and forth. "You weren't hurt at all were you?"

"Don't worry. I was fine. I was away from anything that would be dangerous to me."

She sighed in relief. "Thank the Lord. When you explained the giant fish I got scared for a moment. You're not like other humans are you?"

I laughed. "Sorry if it wasn't what you expected. Same could be said about you. An Angel wanted to visit the Living World and a Human who treats Otherworldly things the same."

"Yeah. I guess we're both weird in a way."

I smiled cheekily at her. "Yeah. Birds of a feather flock together after all."

Emily giggled at my pun. A heavenly sound. Always worth it making her smile and laugh.

"Sorry for the day ended with a pretty downer mood, but we could make it up together." I stretched out my arms and offered my hand to the lovely Angel lady. "I promise I'll take you to the mall next. Lots of people for you to get to know."

She squealed with much excitement. "Eeeee! Yes, I look forward to it!"

"I think not." A very disappointed and stern voice came from behind us.

Emily's eyes widen in terror as I jumped up on my seat in shock as we both turned around to see very tall person behind us.

She wore a very similar dress to Emily when she first appeared and six wings as usually. She was much taller than either one of us and had her arms crossed and looking down at Emily with a 'disappointed mom' look on her face.

One thing I noticed as it looked like we were in a bubble of some kind. Sure, they were no people around but I assumed that if anyone did wander here they would not see us.

"S-Sera," Emily gulped. "What are you doing here?"

"That's my question, Emily," the one named Sera did not look amused. "You know it's forbidden for Angels to come down to Earth without a reason."

She sighed and pinched her nose. "It's bad enough when he does, just because he's the first soul. We need to lay strict guidelines for him." Sera shook her head as she's getting off topic. "Nonetheless, you know better than this Emily. What would happen if the other Seraphims and Elder Angels caught wind of this?"

Her expression softened a bit. "I'm glad I learned of this first. I fear what would befell you if they did first. They would not be understand if they did as I would. But, Emily what possessed you to sneak off like that?"

Emily in a rare moment of defiance crossed her arms and looked away with an irritated look on her face that surprised both Sera and me. I didn't think she had it in her.

"Well, you refused to let me learn about humans in the Living World when I request to visit their realm. I wanted to know what they're like before coming to Heaven. What makes them good or bad. Maybe help them so… that did end up in Hell where..."

Emily seemed to be tearing up at the end. Sera looked hurt and her eyes slightly shifted in shame before returning to a neutral look.

"You should've never been in that meeting. The moment you snuck into the court room I should've sent you away immediately. Nevermind if you hated me."

"I wanted to be there for my new friend."

Sera looked sad. "I know. The fault lies with me, not you. I..." she had a conflicted look in her eyes. "We will discuss this later at home, little one."

She glanced at me as if acknowledging me for the first time. It was such an intimate discussion I couldn't find a way to speak up and listen on the side.

Sera seemed to narrow her eyes at me. Worried I was in some kind of trouble until her facial expression softened. "My deepest apologize young Human, I'm sorry for getting you caught up with our little situation here."

"No worries. It's cool." I waved it off. Who hasn't seem family fight with one another. Come to think of it are Sera and Emily mother or daughter? Doesn't feel like it. Sisters maybe?

Sera seemed surprised at my nonchalant reaction. "Oh, well… um… thank you for your understanding?"

Emily snorted a bit as Sera looked at her confusingly.

Sera cleared her throat and looked at Emily. "Alright. As fun as this was, I'm afraid it's time to put a stop to it. Emily we're going home and you never sneaking out back to the Living World ever again."

Emily looked at Sera in shock. "W-What? No! Sera! I don't want to go! There's still so much to see and do, and I don't want…" Her eyes darted towards me and whispered to herself. "I don't want to be separated with him."

The older Seraphim raised her hand. "Enough. We will talk about this later. I'm sorry I have to do this to you, but I rather you hate me than lose you."

Emily looked like she wanted to cry and every moment pained Sera's heart to do this to Emily who she loves greatly. To her she is her little sister after all even if Seraphim aren't blood-related.

She opened a portal to Heaven, specifically their home. She gave Emily a stern look to tell her to go back home. Emily started angrily, but knew in her heart she was right. If she kept this up and the Elders knew they might do something worse then forbidding her to coming to Earth again.

And she might truly never see (Y/N) ever again. And that hurt the most.

Thinking she'll have to find a way back to him one day she relent and walked towards the portal. Not before looking back and giving me a forlorn smile and sad wave. "Goodbye, (Y/N). It was fun while it lasted. Goodbye."

She ran into to not show her tears. She didn't want to make (Y/N) feel any worse than he was right now.

"Wait, Emily! Hold on!" I called out to her. This can't be how we say goodbye to each other, right?

Sera bowed to me with a sad expression. "I'm sorry for this. You seemed to have taken good care of Emily and I thank you for that. I await the day when you arrive in Heaven. Live a good honest and long life, young one."

And with that the portal closed and time seemed to assume as the bubble disappeared. A feeling a sadness bubbled in my chest. I would never see Emily again until the day I die and got to Heaven.

It was in that moment I realized I fall in love with Emily and I never got to tell her how much I loved her.

But, I was not going to let that deter me. I'll wait forever for Emily if I have to. I want to be with her again.

I looked at the date on my phone and sighed. "It's always a Tuesday."

As the portal to the Living World closed Emily angrily stomped away from Sera.

"Emily, please be reasonable." Sera called out reaching her hand towards her.

But, Emily coldly move around from her.

"Why!? Why did it have to happen!" Emily yelled at Sera. "Why couldn't you kept it a secret at least!"

She recalled the last time she yelled at her and she hated herself back then as she does now for making Emily feel so awful.

"Emily. You know how the Elder Angels are. As high in my position as I am, not even I could persuade them from overturning their decisions." Sera looked heartbroken. "If you fell because of my negligence. I could never forgive myself."

"I don't care! Angels are meant to help mankind, right? So why is it a problem I can't be with him and stay by his side?! Why is it a problem I can't stay with him?!"

Sera was confused by her statement. She could understand humans in general, but why just the one.

"Why are you so adamantly to see that human again?"

"I love him, Sera! I love (Y/N)!" Emily screamed out her true feelings.

Sera was taken back that Emily declared her feelings and how much that human meant to her.

"He is… the sweetest, kindest, gentlest, most caring and funny human I've ever met. Every day with him felt like a dream. I felt so happy and safe with him and wanted that to go on forever." Emily's eyes started to water.

"Emily… I..." Sera did not know what to say. She knew her decision would hurt Emily, but not like this.

"Just leave me be. Just for moment alright? We'll talk later, okay?" Emily teared up as she flew away wiping her tears. "I'm sorry… for you putting you in this position, too, Sera."

The elder Seraphim felt her heart breaking like never before.

Sera looked dejected at how she handled the situation. She never wanted to hurt Emily so badly. Being one in a position of responsibility is never easy. Ever since the court hearing she truly began questioning herself.

Could they have been always another way she didn't see before? She still wasn't sure.

Until she looked back to where the portal closed and hummed to herself.

She is a Seraphim. And one of the highest order. Perhaps… maybe.

She rubbed her chin. Guardian Angels haven't been assigned in a long time.

"(Y/N) was it?" Sera muttered to herself. She can't fix all of them mistakes she's made in her life, but this one she will. She wanted to see Emily being happy again.

And she needed to start being proactive. Heaven needs to change. She needed to change.

But, first she needed to know how far the human will go for Emily.

XXXXX

It's been a week since I last saw Emily.

I've been getting by like before Emily came into my life. But, it doesn't feel the same.

The townsfolk asked where my girlfriend went. We never stated we were a couple, but I indulged them and told them that her sister came and took her back home. Family affair. It would be a long time before I see her again.

Many of them often their condolences and best wishes. Knowing we'll see each other again. The people are the best here and I'm so fortunate to live in an area with great people.

My mother came to visit a few days and we talked. Emily was brought up and my Mom was over the moon to learn I found someone. The shock on her when I said she fall in front of me from the sky was hilarious, but she thought I was joking soon after.

The next day she came back for a ring. Telling me to give this to Emily the next time I see her and to introduce her to the rest of the family. I'm so happy, but I didn't have the heart to tell her how long that wait will be and with a smile hiding my pain I said I will to be mom before she went home.

I fiddled with the small box with the ring in it in my hand. A feeling of dejection in my heart. Who knew being in love would hurt this much. Especially when you may never see them again.

Sulking at home in the kitchen where I met Emily, I sighed and put the small box away in my pocket. Why getting some ice cream will help ease the pain for a bit. Then think of a plan to help Emily's dream come true with helping people so they don't go to Hell.

Which is pretty hard as what are the rules?

This was going to be a long life wasn't it?

But I wouldn't have to worry about that as suddenly something happened.

A light shone behind him as my body tensed. I felt his aura and seen this light. "What?"

I got up and turned around to see someone I wasn't expecting to see again… Sera.

She meticulously walked towards me, towering over him as the tall woman she is. I never knew how pretty she was before even with that frown on her face, but my heart belongs to one lady in my life.

"You're Sera, right?" I asked a bit confused why she's here all of a sudden. "Is there something I can help you with?"

The elder Seraphim hadn't change the expression on her face as she closed the gap between us. Not too close, but not too far. As she bend forward slightly. "You are the human known as (Y/N), correct?"

I nodded. "Yes?"

She closed her eyes and spoke with a voice of authority, but with fairness too. "It has come to my attention that a certain Angel has been taken an interest in you. Under the laws of Heaven it is forbidding for a rogue Angel to follow any humans."

I listen intently wondering where she's going with this.

"Under normal circumstances I would erase your memories of a such a meeting, but there's a solution to this dilemma and I would like your input on it as it concerns you."

Erase my memories? I rather go to Hell than lose any of my precious memories of Emily. Sera's eyebrow twitched upward as though she read my mind. For a briefest of moment a small smirk could've been seen, but it happened so fast I don't know if I was seeing things.

"In order for this Angel to safeguard any soul, it requires other human souls to vouch for protection and guidance. But, those are for Cherubs. For Guardian Angels it requires a Seraphim to vouch for that soul."

What? My heart started to beat faster.

"If the one named (Y/N) (L/N) agrees to uphold this promise, the human soul will be granted a Guardian Angel to watch over and guide them in their life until they can safely be brought to Heaven."

"Is it Emily?" I had to ask. It had to be her.

For the first time since I met her, Sera smiled. "Yes. If you agreed Emily will be your Guardian Angel. She is currently waiting for you at the beach. The last place you were together."

"She is!?" I leaped to my feet with giddiness in my heart. "I have to go see her!"

I pulled out the small box with the ring my Mom gave me in it. I had to make sure I had it. I have to make this perfect. And I have to thank Mom for getting me this ring!

Sera seemed bemused by my action. (He truly loves her doesn't he?)

The elder Seraphim couldn't help but smile. Angels and Humans shouldn't fall in love… she recalled the last one she remember, but ultimately they loved each other regardless. Perhaps this will lead to a happier ending.

However...

"Hold." Sera commanded me. "Before you go to her, there's something I need to know."

"What is it?"

"You must swear it." Sera bend forward towering over me. "Do you accept Emily as your Guardian Angel? Do you love Emily? Will you promise to always be by her self and never hurt her? Do you swear this?"

My eyes were filled with determination. "Yes. I do with all my heart."

Sera's steely look in her eyes continued to look at me for a minute. Until she gave me the most gentlest of looks in her eyes. "Then go to her."

My face broke into a wide smile. "Thank you, Sera!"

I quickly hugged her and ran off to where Emily was.

Sera was taken back from the hug, but smiled in the direction I ran off in. "What an interesting human… I wonder if I met him earlier..."

He has such a wonderful and warm aura to him. No matter Emily loves him so much.

She shook her head. Perhaps in another life...

As I ran towards the beach where we last saw each other each step I felt energy coursing through my veins like never before I wanted to see the most precious person in my life once more.

And then I saw her looking towards the sea with anxious expression. My heart jumped for joy seeing her and wanting to brighten her day just now.

"Emily!"

The young Seraphim turned around and had the brightest and happiest smile on her face she had in all of her life the moment she saw me.

"(Y/N)!" Tears started to swell up in her eyes.

I didn't stop running and came full speed towards her. Grabbing the small box from my pocket… and not seeing the slight uneven crack on the ground.

Hitting it I began to lose my balance and the small box flew in the air as I did my best to grab. Fumbling back and forth as I didn't stop running towards Emily.

Who looked surprised and concerned at my actions with her hands covering her face.

I skidded across the ground as I grabbed the box once more before losing and stopped perfectly in front of Emily.

She sighed and giggled with relief.

As I finally stopped fumbling the small box my hand again, I moved toward the most precious person to my heart. "Emily! That's something I want to ask you!"

And then I tripped and fell over my two feet and landed on my face. With my arm stretched out above my head to prevent losing the small box again.

"(Y/N)!" Emily worriedly gasped. I choose to ignore the pain and look back up at her with determination in my eyes. She was taken back at the sheer intensity of it all.

"Ugh, screw being indecisive!" Now or never.

"Emily! The moment I met you I couldn't help falling for you!" I quickly and steadily got back on my feet as I presented the ring to the Angel who stole my heart. "Every day with you was the best days of my life. So that's why… I love you, Emily! Would you be my wife?"

Emily covered her gasping mouth with her hands as her eyes widen in surprise and soon delight. She squealed.

"Yes! Yes!" As she wrapped her arms around my neck and we both spun in place. "I will! The moment we met I felt a connection between us and knew I wanted to be with you. I love you, too, (Y/N)!"

A feeling of ecstatic happiness bubbled in my heart as she accepted and I couldn't help to laugh and lift her into the air. Spinning her around as she laughed at my childish excitement and couldn't care how silly we looked.

Emily placed her hand on my cheek and stared lovingly into my eyes and return the same feeling as well as I placed my hand on her back and pulled her closer.

And we shared our first kiss. A passionate kiss as Emily wrapped her arms around my neck as I never let go of her. Wanting this moment to last forever.

Unbeknownst to us at the time Sera was watching the two of us around the corner. Making she all was well and the moment she saw us, her surprised face gave way to happy smile.

She was a little worried about those two, but now. She prays for the best of wishes for those two. And that she'll do everything in her powers to ensure the two of us have a happy life together.

Ah, Tuesday is a great day after all! It's after a Monday of course!

"And that kids, is how I met your mother," I finished telling the story of how Emily came into my life to our son and daughter. Both of them had their eyes lit up with joy and sparkles. And their body lit up too.

I always found their reactions amusing. Especially when I tell them everything about their Mother.

Hard to keep it a secret that their Mother is an Angel to the kids when they have angelic powers too for Half-Angels. Only thing harder is keeping it a secret from the neighbors.

"Wow, really!?" My son asked with stars in his eyes.

"Aw, I love how romantic it was Daddy!" My daughter sighed with delight then giggled. "Especially when you were being silly marrying Mommy."

I coughed into my hand. "W-Well… I never had experience with girls before. And your mother was my first girlfriend so I had to wing it as it were."

My kids giggled.

"Dad's puns are silly."

"Daddy's puns aren't that good."

"Oh shush you kids. You know I'm funny."

Then both of them started to tug on my arms.

"Can you tell us more stories of you and Mom?"

"I want to learn magic! Mommy and Auntie taught you magic, right?!"

Indeed, I learned some Angelic magic to protect myself thanks to Sera. Speaking of...

Over by the corner with a good view into the kitchen, Sera is looking back from washing the dishes with a smile on her face as she returned helping out. It's really great she visits from time to time to watch over the kids and help out with the house work when Emily and I are away.

Then again, Auntie Sera couldn't bear to stay away from her nephew and niece and vice versa and they loved each other too much anyway. So, she bent the rules a bit.

The sound of the front door was heard as the heavenly voice I've come to love each and every day filled the air.

"I'm home!"

"Mom!"

"Mommy, you're back!"

Both our son and daughter sprouted their wings and flew toward their mother and hugged her as Emily returned the gesture hugging and lovingly squeezing her children in her arms.

"Oh, my little angels! How are you? Were you good for Dad and Auntie Sera?"

"We're doing the best as always!"

"Yeah, yeah Mommy! We did our best doing our chores too!"

"Hey, Mom! Dad just finished telling how you two met after we did our chores!"

"Yeah, yeah! I love hearing that story! Can you tell us your version next?!"

"Can you play with us after?"

"Can you and Daddy teach me to use magic? I want to help your with your job, Mommy!"

Emily couldn't help, but giggle and she nuzzled her children's faces. "Sure."

I laughed. I really love my kids.

[CLAP!]

The sound of a loud clap got everyone's attention and looked over to Sera who had a playful stern look on her face. "Alright. That's enough messing with your Father and Mother. Your Mother just got back from a long day. Let our rest for now. It's time for bed, kids."

"Aww, do we have to?" My son pouted.

"I want to play with Mommy and Daddy still!" My daughter cutely argued back.

"Now, now," Sera wagged her finger at them. "If you don't listen to your elders and be mindful of others you won't be able to help Mom and Dad in Heaven when you get older. Understand?"

The two hung their heads. "Yes, Auntie."

The elder Seraphim smiled gently. "No need to be discouraged. I'll read you a bedtime story after you brush your teeth and change into your pajamas."

"Promise!?" They both exclaimed with stars in their eyes.

She kneel down with her pinkie extended. "Pinkie Promise."

"Yay!"

"Night Mom! Night Dad!"

Sera scooped them both up in her arms and nuzzled her cheeks with their cheeks and the kids giggled happily.

"Thank you, Sera," I smiled at my Sister-in-law. Or as close to a sister-in-law she can be… her and Emily aren't really related by the Seraphim do treat each other as family nonetheless.

"Of course… Brother," Sera smiled blissfully as she took the kids upstairs. "Goodnight you two."

"Thank you Sera, Goodnight kids." Emily called out and waved night to our kids.

Sera been looking much happier lately. Apparently, things with something I heard along the lines of 'redeeming' and 'Heaven fixing their policies for the better' has done wonders to uplift Sera's spirit.

And it's thanks to someone that Emily works really closely with named Charlie. Hmm… I hope I get to meet this Charlie person one day. She seems like a really nice and great friend, considering how much Emily gushes about her as her best friend and how her dream inspired her to make Heaven a better place too.

"I love our little angels," Emily sighed contently.

"Our kids are the best aren't they?" I sidled and nuzzled my beautiful wife's cheek with my cheek.

"Having kids was the best thing to ever happened to us, don't you agree sweetie?"

"Aside from meeting and marrying you? Third best thing in our lives if you ask me."

"Oh, you. You just know what to say to me, don't you?" Emily chuckled as she moved even closer.

I shrugged playfully. "Well, you do bring out the best in me. I'm so glad you fell for me that day."

Emily giggled. "You and your puns. But, I love that about you too."

"Ah! So, you did marry for my sense of humor!"

We both shared a laugh and quiet down soon after. Just enjoying each other's company.

A minute passed and Emily closed her eyes and had a small beautiful graceful smile. "I'm glad your home was the one I fell through that day. I can't imagine anyone else being with someone else."

I turned my head and pecked the side of face. "And I thank Heaven for that. I do hope I go there in the end. So, I can help even closer with you and your dreams than before and be with you forever."

"I'm your Angel. Of course we will. And our kids too," Her eyes quickly widen realizing that could be taken the wrong way. "When they're older and trained with their Angelic powers to come and go as they please. It will be a family endeavor."

She sheepishly smiled. God, thank you for making her so beautiful and wonderful.

Speaking of Heaven that was indeed a very nice thought. I hope vacation time up there is great too.

The two of us continue looked deeply into each other's eyes. A feeling of tender passion flowing into them.

"Dear," Emily fluttered her eyes at me and whispered into my ear. "Let's have another child."

I smiled at her. "Yes. Let's have another kid." Followed with a quick peck on the lips. We side embraced each other while locking our free hands together and hummed contentedly.

"I love you my little Cream Puff," I stared lovingly and longingly into Emily's eyes as she returned the same look.

"I love you, too, my sweet Cream Pie."

To this day, I consider myself lucky that this adorable, charming, caring and sweet literal Angel falling into my life one day and can't imagine my life without my Emily in it.

The love of my life. My Guardian Angel.

[Author's Note]

Hey there everyone! Surprise, I got something a little special this time around. I do have other stories to work, but during my down time reading some fanfics by others I came across someone looking for Emily x Male Reader stories and sadly couldn't find any.

And the ones I did find… not that interesting or good? I'm not interested in a Depressed Reader story and the only good one I do know is the Male Angel Reader one which I like a lot.

I just want something a little more… vanilla? Wholesome you can say?

So, I decided to make my own Emily x Male Reader and this time with a Human character. And no drama. No tragic, no dark topics, no existential crisis or anything like that. I wanted to make a simple wholesome vanilla story with Emily and the Reader.

I hope you all enjoy it. I have been thinking of writing this one for a while so I was able to quickly get this done in a way. With a few adjustments.

This story was fun to make. I started with the tail end of the story first as I knew what to ends it on, than went to the beginning as I knew how I wanted to start it, after getting it done went back to the ending scene and finished that.

Then the middle which was the trickiest one as I wasn't 100% sure what to write there. But, I think everything all came together.

Honestly, this is a one-shot only. However, I have been thinking of doing a Sera x Male Human Reader next and then followed with an Emily x Male Human Reader x Sera one-shot. Basically a trilogy of one-shots focusing on the Angel ladies.

But for now just this Emily story.

And to the person or persons looking for a sweet Emily x Reader story… this one is for you readers!

Until next time, this is VirusChris signing off! Sayonara my Nakama! Laters!
