Stargate Atlantis Trading Grounds I: The Return To La Rochelle
Warnings: This story is going to match the dialog, in the flashback memories, of chapter 4, of the past meets the present series. As it also follows the complete mental breakdowns, of the human half of the team. And Robert Makepeace and Adam Johnson, so the story is going to follow the dialog to the letter exactly. Along with some new dialog that was not in the fast forwarded portion in the flashbacks.
With this chapter it's jumping over the mission to Ernest's research station, before returning to earth now, and ending up back on the base now. Said now looking exactly like the Enterprise D, in every way, shape or form. And just without the technical problems, as the tunneling between their base and White Rock Research Station. There is a set of jeffries tubes going horizontally that way, rather then vertically.
Basing this in real time, rather then the show, of 25 years ago, Antarctica was a neutral zone for research so military research was not allowed out there. And with it, as the chair is considered military technology, it was meant to be last resort. In case of another orbital attack, so the outpost is now trade and exploration. So with this chapter, is the colony/crew is now getting used to being a slightly underwater crew.
As he's getting to work in trading to bring in more improvement for the planet at large now, so a military attack. Just to bring him back to the states, is attempted, is an international. In incidents and enough to get them convicted for kidnapping now, with his clearance. So from here, is he's dropping in on Ry'ac and Drey'auc and before the press conference. And just before his first stop in planets is to Gaea, home of the Nox.
This chapter will finish off this portion of the story-line, as the next two chapters and forward, cover chapter 2, going by the name. And of The Glory Of Tantulus, which covers things, from his going to the races and Tok'ra creation of the treaty. And his return to Shyla, before the following Chapters cover the the breakdowns of the trio and Carter, who's lost her ability to function mentally, out of desperation now.
As the mission was sanctioned, and he was transferred to Landry and the Atlantis team at the time. As Rodney McKay, Cam Mitchell, Vala Mal Doran, Hank Landry, Frank Simmons, Steven Caldwell, John Shepard. And Elizabeth Weir enter the picture here, the story will have Daniel and Teal'C joining their team. As the SGA is founded 5 years early, and moved into the outpost on earth….

Chapter 67: Truths And Mission Aftermaths III
"Yeah there we go, everything is back in place, but after that outburst, I think best we keep the line off, she crossed the line, if he doesn't want to see her or talk to her that's fine. Not going to force him to, but that catch with the trying to force him back, is not happening. It's illegal, that we're bound by civilian rules, not military now." Haden said and they nodded in agreement. "The SGA/Starfleet are a civilian ran organization, we're not bound by the military here now."
"Though we carry military ranking, they may claim we're wasting time by politics, but talk first then action, nothing's going on the System lords agreed we don't aggravate them. And they won't attack us right now." Landry said, before the radio clued in. "Commander Jackson, Admiral Landry, under careful advisement the chosen reps of us. That you're going to be working with, said are myself, Jean David, Eleazer Charlotti, Miguel Rodriguez."
"Zie Feng's assistant, Shen Xiayoi and your own representative of Joseph Faxon starting now, as we dictated. And with you finding the weapon, we have the technology now, but if you can score a deal. And with the duo, we get both that and scientific knowledge and help with General Carter's commander. But the politics involved, have deemed no soldiers incoming." Ambassador Roberts said and they nodded.
"Well first test of the activation of Starfleet and the new SG-1 is your planetary district, of Glastonbury, Ambassador." Daniel said and he nodded. "We understand that son, but these men are dangerous, it doesn't matter where you go. That they're never going to leave you alone, so one option, going out the backdoor now, that's your only option. For vacation, without them targeting you, as they're scared of France now, in truth."
"So if they're about to start anymore stunts here, we leave them to the troubles they caused, but listen to me, we're ready, so if you decided. In using Zie's narcotic agency, we go with that idea right now to arrest whoever it is. If they come into my country and attack MacGregor's digsite, just to kidnap you right now. When you're ready to get started now, we start then, with you recovering." Ambassador Charlotti said to him then.
"Thank you Sir, we'll get back to you after we get to work." he said and they nodded. "Very well, see you then, Commander." he said to him and they nodded. "Our countries had this constant struggle for 300 years, thanks to historical backgrounds. Only lately the American military see they can do anything they want, without consequences." Daniel said and Vala and Teal'C nodded. "Is Ambassador Charlotti the Middle East Rep?" he asked and Daniel nodded then.
"If we have that scene shoot up, and heads are going to roll, we said to leave you alone, and she follows you, after sending them first, enough is enough." Landry said and they nodded. "As for this, and your medication, I think it best here, we find it first, make use of the system logs, we have more advanced information then the SGC, so we use that. Find Egeria, and see what her current captors came up with to help you." Daniel said and the Martells nodded then.
"Better just hang onto it for another 1.5 years then after Apophis is dead, hand it over and you go human after that with the tretonin." Gordon said and he nodded. "Agreed right now, it's likely to kill us both, because that symbiote, was stolen from another jaffa. And not only is your said priestess entering said vision as is Daniel now." Sarah said gently then. "Out of curiosity, what is substance 35?" Vala asked and Daniel explained that. "Nerve gas." he said and she nodded.
"Klo'rel is the symbiote inside my brother-in-law, Vala, he was chosen directly after Sha're got it, but this explains what I would tell you. If your daughter is the Antichrist, I spent the last 2 years searching for his sister, my late wife. Came close to getting her back, and lost her a second time, before finding her 5 weeks ago, and this time was permanent. As such right now, is this continues, the visions are showing the SGA side of the story now." he said and she nodded then.
"What I just described is the entire thing, everything was fine till Hathor came into the picture, fortunately, I'm not so paranoid I'm leaving the damn lights off. And panicking, the second I see the doctor, thinking they're intelligence agents and I been arrested for espionage." he said and Sarah nodded in relief then. "That was Schizophrenia, this is Post Traumatic Stress you two, the last time I saw him looking like that right now, was after his parents death baby, in truth."
"The new movie Daniel Roebuck is putting out, with him playing the FBI agent investigating the case now, imagine seeing whatever you're taking transport on. Explode moments before it did in a vision now, and you're so in shock here, that you forget the debris is still coming down. And the adults in charge, have to forcefully hold you there, as they treat you for shock. And if you got hit by the blast now, but it's going to take time, the night sweats and flashbacks now."
"We just separated him from them permanently, but 1) is with that dose not wearing off for 45 days, he's a cub trapped in his adult body and 2) we're prescribing sedatives and Sertraline. So that controls his mood now and he gets the rest his body needs, but this is now. In truth, is out of my hands, with him in a different branch now, so Brandon's your version of me now." Carson said and she nodded. "Can you help him?" she said, looking at Henderson and he nodded.
"Going to take time, but with the medication, and low stress environment now, yes I think so, he's on the edge of a total burnout, so balanced diet, plenty of rest. And taking his medicine, and no more working alnighters now, he needs to stay calm. And controlled." he said and she nodded. "And now I know how Alicia feels, she was worried sick about him, and I get the news, pre to us getting married, your mental condition here now."
"But I'm not leaving you when I just got you back, that we're safe here, no them, no more stress, you can do missions to your standards now." she said to him then and he nodded, as he pressed his forehead to her's, as Gardener. Now seeing the severe trauma being at the SGC has caused, know his son in law, had been through enough now. As he started over, knowing a few months now, he was 3/4's there, and close to be fulled healed, and moving on completely.
"Yeah that and you know me better then ever, you knew everything about me, my likes, dislikes, family trauma, backgrounds, everything, me to you. Everything is like it was, I'm focusing more on family than my research now, so with that right now. As whatever those pills did to him, in not being able to respond to her, that's not the case with us. As we get back together, it's having worked the military side of the job, the traumas coming with it, can be a bit much."
"Now, if there was a way to get the guys, we could save Hank and his unit, my commander, who's Andy's C.O., that would help right now." he said and she nodded. "Actually there is, Commander Jackson, but this means increasing the anti-gravity servos. Just to 1000% to resist the effects of the black hole now." Q said and they nodded. "Coming in after them, we get the guys back, if Larry was still alive him too, but no, the most is saving Frank." he said to that.
"Then we save Frank, and Hank Boyd and his team, and they work here now." Landry said and Daniel nodded sternly. "As Frank said, someone dropped a dime on the incursion, you got hit, you went down and we made a judgement call to save the rest of the team. He's me at 43 years old, I never met the guy, but I understand him." Daniel and she nodded. "Hopefully this works, before we have a full repeat, of that again." Landry said and Daniel and Dixon nodded then.
"Alright, increase the anti grav to 15,000% in the gate room, after we activate her, if there are any indication now, we get them and get out." he said and Daniel nodded sternly, pulling his coat on, as they prepared to save his commander then, along with their missing team mate. Walking into the gate room, they looked at the lay out then of the DHD, and Daniel nodded. "Move that there, this here, and move that, and…" Daniel started to say and the chevrons.
Then started glowing blue in response. "I hope that's good right now." he said and they nodded. "Indeed it is, by you doing that, you just added anti grav servos to it between you and the planet you want to connect to." Q said and they nodded. "Then we do it again, on 451, add the belts and we're home free." Daniel said and they nodded in agreement. "Alright the mission is ago, bring them home." Landry said and they nodded, he dialed back to the planet then.
And they charged through it, as it shut down, and the team, and their counterpart smiled in delight. "Dr. Jackson, boy are we glad to see you!" Major Henry Boyd shouted in delight and he nodded. "Wait on that man, we're on the edge, so just hang on." Dixon said to the leader of the quintet and he nodded. "Boy am I glad to see you though, this gives a good exchange, after I laid into Jack, for abandoning Hank, the way I had him." he said and Daniel nodded sternly.
"Been 8 months boss, but we're bringing you home, just hang on." he said and quickly pulled the back panel off the DHD, and did it a second time, as the gate powered up. He sent his signal then. "Alright let's go." he shouted and they ran for the gate, and jumped through then. As they landed on the floor and he pressed the disconnect button and it turned off immediately, as the Colonel of the group smiled in relief then. "That's it, I'm back." he said in relief then gently.
"Yeah I went back for you, but I took your opinion to heart, exact same thing, Frank, but in emphasizing your name, he panicked." he said and the older man nodded. "Yeah I learn what the bastard did to you, he's a dead man, but you're my kid brother, of course I get territorial here. With you, so you said, though 25 minutes for us, we been trapped on the edge of that black hole for 8 months, so must mean it's months since something, and 3 more here."
And since something else." he said and Daniel nodded gently. "Like I said, it's been 8 months to us to you, it's been 15 minutes, with you trapped on the edge of that blackhole. But that remark on relativity, and I better explain it, in a way you can understand here now. But to quote L.L. Cool J, when I say this, but put your hand on a hot pan, a second can seem like an hour. In truth on that, while for the reverse where the hormones are concerned here right now.
"But on a beautiful woman, an hour can seem like a second." he said and the colonel nodded, as he hid a smile, knowing this he understood. "So you're Daniel Jackson, nice to meet you kiddo, I'm Colonel Frank Cromwell little brother, and I appreciate this. Alot right now, well time to return to duty right now, but at least my wife knows you brought me home. But where is he, because he's in trouble." he said and Daniel nodded sternly as he explained that to him then.
"He's in Princeton, New Jersey, MacArthur's psychiatric hospital right now, but I just let him have it right now, if Carson told you about Hathor, well there it is." he said and Cromwell nodded sternly then to that. "Well maybe now he'll know how this feels right now, but someone dropped a dime on the incursion, he got hit, he went down. And I made a judgement call to save the rest of the team, I could go back and we get arrested, or retreat and protect the others, kiddo."
"This is the hard part, of being a team leader, the cost of honor was losing him, but now he has to live with the guilt, so we hide ourselves here. Did Hammond tell you the record, his psyche reports and everything, Danny?" he asked and Daniel nodded. "I know everything and he just tried to use it against me last year, but I out thought him. But his mind snapped out of fear of Shyla's kingdom." he said and Cromwell nodded. "Hathor?" he asked and Daniel nodded then.
"You better see this, you're on my ship, the enterprise, which is in Antarctica." he said and the quintet nodded smiling. "Before we do, we need to get cleared, if I'm bringing my wife and kids here, and Hank his own, it's we're in winter clothing day in, and day out here now." he said and he nodded, as they headed for the infirmary, and Daniel pressed the radio. "Dad, I got them back, the quintet, they're here!" he said to him and Hammond quickly moved to the desk then.
As the quartet looked at him from across the screen board. "Sir, he's telling you the truth, we're here in Antarctica, so we're safe now, but whatever he has in mind. We do, as Jack sees I'm alive, along with the team now." Cromwell said and he nodded gently. "Alright once we get your families and we're bringing them to you, Colonel, son get him caught up. To the reason I shot her first idea down." he said and Daniel nodded gently then to the orders.
"What the hell is going on?" Jack asked and they heard Sam followed that up with the next question. "Been days since we saw you, before hearing from you next, 'Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm still working at getting you guys out of here, oh in the mean time. I've discovered something incredible.', this sounds matched to the episode, you were pretending. Now, to be tanked and out of your mind, but on a health food binge and protein shake, medical recovery."
"But knowing you better then you know yourself, you tricked them." Simmons said to this then. "Well this sounds like the exchange on the episode." Cromwell said and he nodded. "It is, with my personal touch, but remember your remark, oh I can't, I have my orders. Too Colonel, I obey mine." he said and they and Picard smiled and nodded. "Is she questioning our decisions, when a mere captain, we gave you orders, to study the damn thing." Carson said to that gently.
"She did, but her arrogance is military intelligence, in every way you can say it, but seems this was the sextet's plan, but the sheep lead in trick. And Pyrus got a consolation prize in the form of Jack now, I'm a plant, working for the colony ring, in bringing them back. Jack was the bait, as he waited for you to send Makepeace and Johnson, and we got them all. Carter was the unsuspecting bonus, and the elixir is the symbol, just like his arm." he said and they nodded.
"It's been days since we saw you?" she asked and listening carefully they knew his eyes flicker to another spot in the cave right behind them. "You really care about me, or just getting out of here sooner?" he asked and the generals nodded. "Yes that's going to have them back pedal alright, as you never normally talk that way to him. With you just getting over your cold and you're still recovering from the P.T." Cromwell said, smiling sternly to that.
"For your information the damage done was 30 broken bones, 15 damaged internal organs, my leg was broken in two places. And along with my ankle, I'm still in P.T., Colonel, Captain, that dad and the sextet. Now decided to extend the mission, so sorry, if I never came sooner, I'm getting over the flu. After my P.T. slammed me into the wall here." he said warningly and Landry nodded, knowing they paled at that news.
"You could just leave, I can arrange for you to leave, as you leave, I stay here, I'm still in recovery here, that you head home, and I stay here. All the while finishing the trade deal I'm working on for earth right now, so with that. Exactly what is holding you back, any plans here, you need me to make your planning work. Trying to claim me as everything you been saying right now." he said and they watched him pale at that remark.
"There's a hint, he just busted him right now, he stays on the planet, they leave, but they don't want that to happen. They would have to come back, and get arrested twice and it starts all over again, it's a psychosis alright at the moment. Nice work baby you just busted him, you knew this was going to be the reaction, he's waiting to claim it here. And they're trying to destroy your reputation, your planning interferes in it." Carson said, smiling sternly at that.
"Addison gave orders for me to run trade here, but the amount total, for the research and the drugs here, is 895 octillion, spend 221.5, get 773.5 back. In medical drugs, all containing the healing powers of the sarcophagus technology. And the research necessary to keep the damn thing off the planet, but what's exactly. I choose to stay put, send you home, and you try to the gate open?" he asked and they all paled at that.
"Why didn't you tell us this sooner?!" she said, knowing she, in real time, would've started shaking in fear. "Do you really care or are you determined to have me pick the pace, to get you out of here right now, because I'm sure they. That's the medical department, would say keep my head down, do my research. And recuperate, as such, the conditions shifted from hostage situation to trade dealing right now at the moment."
"But after nearly killing 350 miners and guards, you, the SGC, owe them a new mine, Captain." he said and watching as they went even paler, he went further."Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm still working on getting you guys out, oh in the mean time. I've discovered something incredible." he said and she nodded. "Indeed like learning that she's been lying to us for 3 months, and she's in big trouble." Teal'C said and Hancock nodded.
"You do know we're dying down here, right?" Jack asked and Matheson sighed at that. "You're dying, how about you causing a cave in, that nearly killed me, or is it only your lives matter here, you self righteous…, well I see no reason here to do anything. I mean anything, to save your sorry but from conviction or worse when I get home. You really stepped there now didn't you, I can have you removed from the program.'
'And forever if you do this, you remember that, well now it's my turn right now, but dark cave, or jail cell, and drugs, if you're looking at the guard behind me in fear. It's he's an alien Segei, your record down to the limit, you are mine now, mine!' Daniel said in shocked disgust. "And that remark is enough to have him convicted for conspiracy and sedition, you just went one better and got them marked for us." Pulaski said sternly to that.
"Uh huh, well after trying to kill me the other day, you deserve to be stuck in here, Colonel, he knows who you are, both of you. In fact you walked right into Aramis and Athos's king, his daughter's my betrothal contact. And now I got to fix what you screwed up, a trade deal worth 900 octillion now." he said seeing Jack had pale. "Well that's enough to scare the crap out of them now." Carson said, smiling sternly to that.
"How can it worth this much, there's nothing we can give them for what they're offering us!" she said shaking and he smiled. "Actually there is, this is what Addison was talking about: to make peaceful contact, to make friends. Well this was the side portion of the job they created for me, but Farming supplies and livestock. In exchange for some drugs, that should help emergency arrest." he said to her gently.
"Before you ask why I didn't tell you this, I'm working for Sanderson, this was something. That they desperately needed medical technology worth something to the military medical. However Sanderson and Hancock are connected to Dr. Rosen himself, you remember: the psychiatrist looking like Plummer at his current age." he said and they heard a thunk. "Yeah she panicked and tripped over something." Rodney said to that then.
"But I've taken the opportunity to do a little research on the sarcophagus, it's amazing, in what it does to you when you're already healthy." he said and Anna nodded as she translated that. "Research on the sarcophagus, ordained by Uncle Jerry and the president, you know if your father was in the program at that time. That he's telling you to suck it up Captain, just because you're being hold hostage, doesn't give you the right to question it."
"Question orders given by the president, of the United States of America, and the joint chiefs, your bosses." she said, knowing Sam started shaking. "And again, you're a captain, he's a Lieutenant Colonel, and we're 2 to 5 star generals, who wins right now. In who he's going to listen to, you two ranks behind, Jack one rank ahead, or us, 3 to 7 ranks ahead." Captain James Dayton said knowing she realized she was screwed, she couldn't dispute orders then.
And without being court martial. "And definitely when he's no where near recovered yet, so you can just wait right there. Till he's recovered enough to return to base, but he's been coming us every days. That this next exchange was enough to land you in the pot, as you boiled alive in your psychosis." Matheson said and knowing they'd panic, realizing it didn't matter what they said so long as he wasn't healed yet, they were stuck.
And in the mines, till the trade deal was finished as they heard it. "If they want to leave, leave, you stay there, but no, they don't do that and try to put the blame on you right now. Nice try people, but not working, if he could arrange to let you go, but knowing you'd never really. Now leave without him, is your own curse right now." Pulaski said smiling sternly and Landry smiled, knowing that's exactly what it was then, they'd never leave without him, for their plan to work.
"Whaa, is that really such a good idea?" she asked and she shook her head as Anna sighed. "Dumb question young lady, the medical/psychiatric department demanded a detailed research doctorate on the parameters necessary to keep it off earth right now. Earth and the colony ring, and because Jolinar's knowledge is not enough, we need this. From an Earth human standpoint, because everyone not on earth is an earth human." Carson said to that remark sternly then.
"Yeah, now the truth is out right now, it takes 6 doses in a broken one, to fix the damage." Carson said to that news. "You questioning the orders of your father, your godfather, and the joint chiefs let alone the president, Captain?" he said her sternly. "Now wait a second, this doesn't sound like something they'd say." she said, shaking and he said it, and Sanderson crossed his arms. "It's got to be Reg's double." La Forge said to that sternly.
"Indeed it was, after we realized we been hijacked by the Keeper, they became convinced, if the orders never make sense. Then we been compromised, only now the orders were real, after Philonius told me, Daniel went to the quartet. Before we went to La Rochelle, and Daniel sent a letter." Teal'C said and they nodded. "Oh are you calling your commander delusional, or brainwashed, even being replaced here, if the orders don't make sense, as the last."
"In times was artificial, this time it's real, like the Keeper jumped back into your head, this doesn't sound like the real General Hammond to you. Then I'm hallucinating as a reason to claim the technology is affecting me. So tell me, what if, when we go home, they heard you're suffering schizophrenia now. The orders don't make sense, then it's a lie right now, brought on by drugs?" he said sternly and they heard it in her voice then.
"Ouch yeah that's a good accusation here, she's convinced here, what we told you is all in your mind right now, and we're not the real deal. And someone's impersonating us, yeah this makes a good reason: psyche eval now." Landry said sternly to that, crossing his arms at the. "In fact I'm willing to bet the blending has altered your memories, one personality. Slowly destroying the primary, that you don't see this for what it is, Argos, in X-rated form."
"So with that, I think we need to have you checked, in an eval, barely 3 months and already the alter ego is rewiring your memories, Jolinar never checked it. To realize you keep ignoring Argos, to not realize this is Argos in X rated form now. So I wonder how the generals will take it when they find out now, you're suffering a psychosis. Of 'the orders never make sense, then it's a lie now.'." he said and they heard a back pedal.
And the trio nodded in agreement. "Indeed, this psychosis over Queen Shyla and her father consumed 21 months of her life. Now that why let it rob her of anymore, she needs severe help." Drey'auc said and Landry nodded in agreement. "No kidding, and my cub certainly was right, that, when one mind is taking over the other, we need a psyche evaluation. To find out and now, as she's a liability." Carson said and Cromwell crossed his arms sternly then to this.
"No I didn't say that, but normally they never take risks with alien technology, that why start now." she said and knew Daniel nodded. "That's never take risks with military technology, but they do with medical technology, Pyrus's leader of the human side. Of the 5th race, they found a way to harness the power of the sarcophagus now. To create life saving drugs, but behind the 17th century facade, they are beyond now."
"Technologically advanced, their skills in chemistry are practically magic, because it's mixed with the healing powers of the sarcophagus. Because the medical department need to see if there's something useful in medical technology out there. I may have just found it, in the form of the effects of it, rather then using the damn thing. And directly, is there a way to synthesize the healing properties of the technology."
"As we're too young to harness that effect, they went to trade with the king, for the arrest drugs, that I'm testing out now." he said and they heard a panicked tone. "Alright hold on there's more to this exchange then you saw on the show." he said and pressed the updated requisite button and they heard it then. "The admirals saw that the only way to handle this, is by doing exactly as the president ordered me to do, for the drugs."
"Said drugs are the elixir, the serum, a few dozen syringes, making like the hypospray syringes on the show, a muscles paralyzing agent to give your body time to rest. And a serum meant to turn you into a human version of jaffa right now, but it's these. And with it now, research on the technology, in exchange for a few hundred here. In farming supplies and livestock." he said and they went pale in shock then to the news.
"I actually been to the trio's planets, but here's my point now, compared to you, I had the presence of mind to pay attention to that key sentence. If left unsaid, never take it, it could be drugged, and if it smells that heavily, of baking seasoning. Never take it it could be drugged, as such, I was experimenting with the elixir, as it. Like the serum they're using to keep my strength under wraps, is meant for better medical care."
"So anyone in a rut, can get some passion back into the marriage now, the reason, I haven't dropped in two weeks, was because I slammed into the wall. During my P.T., and I came down with the flu, so bed rest and they're getting my strength back up. Not there yet, I may look healthy, but those said doses are tripled, by 3's here, so I need 7 more doses to finish healing the damage." he said and they all went pale then.
"Dad said take my time, rest and keep my head down, but I could talk him into letting you go, and you return to Earth, Teal'C stays here with me. As we finish the bargain, that bargain, is a new mine, in exchange for a sample of the drugs. That I'm bartering off him, and with it, the extended research which covers, what I'm looking into. On myself, multiple injuries, metamorphosis, and time frames." he said and she went white
"Why they never tell us, that's what we came here for." she said and they nodded. "It's not your business, Captain." he said and she paled even further, realizing it was covert and not her business, what he and the medical team, and the president decided. "But it's because you're too close to the root cause here, but, as you're clearly. Now, not thinking straight, when the person running the medical side is a 5 star medical psychiatrist."
"He and his 5 star command counterpart suggested to the president, that they run testing on the damn thing.
