Stargate Atlantis Trading Grounds I: The Return To La Rochelle
Warnings: This story is going to match the dialog, in the flashback memories, of chapter 4, of the past meets the present series. As it also follows the complete mental breakdowns, of the human half of the team. And Robert Makepeace and Adam Johnson, so the story is going to follow the dialog to the letter exactly. Along with some new dialog that was not in the fast forwarded portion in the flashbacks.
Basing this in real time, rather then the show, of 25 years ago, Antarctica was a neutral zone for research so military research was not allowed out there. And with it, as the chair is considered military technology, it was meant to be last resort. In case of another orbital attack, so the outpost is now trade and exploration. So with this chapter, is the colony/crew is now getting used to being a slightly underwater crew.
As he's getting to work in trading to bring in more improvement for the planet at large now, so a military attack. Just to bring him back to the states, is attempted, is an international. In incidents and enough to get them convicted for kidnapping now, with his clearance. So from here, is he's dropping in on Ry'ac and Drey'auc and before the press conference. And just before his first stop in planets is to Gaea, home of the Nox.
This chapter will finish off this portion of the story-line, as the next two chapters and forward, cover chapter 2, going by the name. And of The Glory Of Tantulus, which covers things, from his going to the races and Tok'ra creation of the treaty. And his return to Shyla, before the following Chapters cover the the breakdowns of the trio and Carter, who's lost her ability to function mentally, out of desperation now.
As the mission was sanctioned, and he was transferred to Landry and the Atlantis team at the time. As Rodney McKay, Cam Mitchell, Vala Mal Doran, Hank Landry, Frank Simmons, Steven Caldwell, John Shepard. And Elizabeth Weir enter the picture here, the story will have Daniel and Teal'C joining their team. As the SGA is founded 5 years early, and moved into the outpost on earth….

Chapter 84: Changes And The Search For Camelot V
"Nice job resetting that, kid, but where is our you." Carson's asked and he sighed, as he traced his signature then. "He's alive, and he's in Cairo!" he said in relief and they nodded in delighted relief. "Guys where are you, where are you, Miles, Andy, Bert, Adams, Jenny." he said scanning and he smiled. "Found my unit, your Daniel's new team, I'm second in command of SGA-1, my reality: anthropology." he said and the quintet nodded smiling.
"Bring him and our children here, now." Matheson said and he nodded, and he punched in their coordinates, and they saw 2 more signatures, and then pressed send. And the trio appeared. "Whoa jeez, Dr. Langford I said no, why bring me here?" his double asked and she explained that. "You're the only that can save us, take a look at your double." she said and he turned and saw himself."That's me in the military here." he said to her then.
And she nodded. "On one condition, get him out of here and I'll take the job, I opted out, after I figured out of the coordinates. To the first planet the team went to, and took my back pay with me." he said and Addison nodded sternly. "I understand, but he had a psychotic break, and needs a psychiatric evaluation. So your new commander is Colonel Andrew Dixon, son." he said and Daniel's double nodded gently to the news then.
"Dan, that's your job, I know you hate heights, but you have to make contact with Thor himself, he's the leader of the Asgard. But there's two ways to do that, 1) by gating to Cimmeria and making contact with Thor. And through a series of obstacles, or 2) gating to his home planet of Othala now." he said and his double nodded, as he took a deep breath as he took the uniform he passed him and went to the bathroom to change.
"Fair enough, are the guys here, Jared, Dave?" he asked and Warren stepped forward and he smiled in delight then as he hugged him tightly, before Parker hugged him then. "Whoa, alright thanks, whoever you are, if you're not our you, you just saved our lives!" Anna's double said smiling and he nodded. "No problem, but General O'neill had psychotic break here: stand up fight, despite your orders, Sirs." he said and Addison's nodded sternly.
"Dan!" Anna's double said smiling and his hugged her tightly then, before hugging the quintet in relief that his family was okay then. And as he looked over his shoulder then, his eyes wary of Jack's double then. "Trying a stand up fight, I knew you were going to screw things up General, or should I call you Colonel Jack O'Neill. Well if not for me, we would be dead, so nice work, you idiot." he said and Carson nodded sternly to that in agreement.
"Arrested him I see, if he's looking at us in fear right now, knowing he's about to be killed for breaking orders?" Haden's double asked sternly and he nodded. "Yeah, my name is Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Daniel Jackson, I serve your counterpart SGA." he said and they nodded, smiling. "Nice to meet you son, so this is our you." he said, looking at his double and he nodded. "Oops, aw crap, the president." he said as he hit the radio then.
"Stand by Sir, I'm bringing you in, now!" he called into the radio, as he dialed out, as he got their version of Clinton, and his entourage, off the plane, as they saw the blast from one of the ships destroy it. "Send them through to Camp David, via the beta site." he said and Harriman nodded to the orders. "Where you get all this stuff from?" Carson asked at his fast thinking. "We reset our time-line, Hammond's my father." he said and he chuckled then.
"Well you did plenty, we can take over from here, son." Addison said and he shook his head gently. "Not done yet General, Sergeant, hook this generator up to the power vault, and prepare to dial out, we have an hour, before they try to get down here." he said and Siler's double nodded, as he hooked a computer program into the system. "That's the coordinates for the Asgard home planet, you get their help here for this right now."
"And this is going to scare the hell out of Apophis, at least they never destroyed the base, and instead my advanced technology. It just saved as many lives as possible here right now for you, because everyone here. Is still alive, hold on…, yeah thought so, Jacob is still alive, stand by." he said and a flash later, Jacob's double arrived then. "Hey Jake." the quintet said smiling and he smiled. "Hey guys." he said gently then to them then.
"Thanks kiddo, hey honey." he said and she hugged him tightly and he smiled. "What's the verdict, how long exactly?" he asked and he sighed. "Level 3." he said and they nodded then. "One chance, after this now, make contact with the Tok'ra their leader, she's the oldest of their original brood, she needs a new host. And 2) get off the system lord planets, immediately, start working the race planets." he said and they all nodded then.
"Is this french king inside that system?" he asked and Daniel nodded. "At least you never got shot, or someone's going to wonder how you got blasted. And from touching things you shouldn't be, kiddo, but there's our you, if our you was in the military." Matheson's double said smiling and he nodded. "Yeah and you can thank Rosen for that, because Rosen had Nick committed, I been adopted by Hammond, in my reality."
"And became your best officer." he said and the command all smiled. "So once you're done, you can reunite me with Ernest?" Catherine's said and he nodded. "You lost only 1.5 billion, but we can fix that, as you recover from this, now. But all I wish is for the coordinates, that you downloaded off that system. As it's the launching post for the attack." he said and Clinton, Jumper, Ryan and Addison's doubles nodded in understanding.
"Fair enough, you saved us, and we help you." Clinton said and Daniel nodded. "This is going to speed up dialing out, as we get you out, before they dial in, so you're good. But Sir, now might be a very good time to go right now, you're safe now." he said to him gently and he nodded smiling, as he and his entourage walked into the gate room, and he sent them through then."Everyone leaving, head out now." he shouted and they nodded.
"Getting scientists, world leaders out, if they match my version, no problem." he said and he punched in bio signatures as 1,300 people appeared and they nodded. As he punched send, and they appeared. "Everybody through the gate to the beta site, all leaders head for Camp David, P3R-989." he said and they nodded. "Well that's everyone, every scientist and world leader, but honey, baby, son, you join the others at the beta site."
"We're staying here, you as well Erica, Jamie, join Christy and the kids, Dana, Patty." Matheson's said and they, Dillon's wife, Carson's, Addison's and his wife nodded, as they headed through as well. Before snatching the back up stargate from Klo'rel's ship, and posted it to Jamestown, and they saw everyone start charging through it and they sighed in relief. "It's Back up colony ring, for the civilians, everyone, all over the planet, before we do it."
"So hang on." he said as he started bringing the other 5 billion to the gate and they walked through it then. "Well that's everyone and Apophis has no idea where they went now, but that's an ancient planet I just sent everyone too. Camp David is too, so the boss is safe, and we saved everyone else, so you're fine now." he said and they sighed in relief "So what now exactly, as we wait here?" Addison asked and he explained that gently then.
"I need to patch this up so you can head for Othala, which is the Asgard home planet, once done. That you can come to them for help, and hearing that, after they attacked Cimmeria. They're going to handle this, because you never found the Ancient weapon and base here on earth, yet." he said and they nodded in relief. "How are we going to get up there without getting shot, because he just landed." Hammond said to him gently.
"Here use this, because this is going to prevent them from accessing below NORAD." he said to Hammond and he nodded. "It's an impenetrable shield, you recall star trek TNG, after Data got hijacked?" he asked and Hammond nodded sternly. "This does the very same thing, send their blasts back at them, as you put up a force field. And from 11 all the way down here." he said and Hammond nodded sternly as he answered him then.
"Elevator 1, on 11?" Hammond asked and he nodded. "Got it, Major Kawalsky, Major Warren, Major Ferretti, you come with me, we're getting that generator hooked up." he said and they nodded to the order. "Sending a bomb through, what the hell were you thinking of, you could have killed all of us!" Addison shouted and O'neill and he paled at that. "You're being arrested for attempted genocide." Jumper said and he swallowed hard.
"Well we're hooked up now, dial out Walter!" Siler called out and he nodded, as he put in the coordinates and it reached 8, before it shot out. "Dr. Carter, Danny go, you're the only one that can do this, see you in 30 minutes." Addison said and they nodded and headed out. "The force fields's hooked up, General!" Hammond shouted and Addison nodded to him. "All SGA personnel down to levels 25, 26 and 27." Addison shouted into the radio.
"Nicely done, arrest the green one star and assume command as you bring their us to the base to court martial said green one star for violation of direct orders." Sarandon said smiling and Jack swallowed hard, realizing his attempted stand up fight would get them killed. As Daniel arranged a way that meant they could get help from their Asgard, before doing it again. For Charlie's double, as both versions saw he was beyond invaluable now in the program there.
As they settled and waited as everyone watched the monitors, knowing saving the president was over now they had to get the rest of the world leaders out. As Daniel gathered the gear back up, stuck it in his bag, and waited, before the base started trembling. And he smiled as they saw lights blasting every ship outside the mountain and all over the planet. "You did it, you did it, it worked!" Catherine shouted in delight and he nodded and the group of generals smiled.
"Thank you Colonel, we appreciate everything you did for us, but time for you to go home now, save your earth, like you saved us now." Addison said smiling and he nodded. "Here's where Ernest is, he's alive, but he's kept himself sane, by thinking about what you would say, regarding his findings, these last 53 years now." he said, passing Catherine the coordinates, and she smiled and nodded as she hugged him tightly then.
"Activate it, send him back through to 233." Hammond said, and as he was now dressed in a general suit, with a single star on his shoulder and Harriman nodded smiling. And as they all saw with fondness, what having him in their lives would lead to. Once given the chance, after everything he ever did for them, resulted in now. "My advice, after this situation now, is head for these coordinates, and start gathering up in medical care now in truth."
"Just be careful, their way of mating is increasing the libido here, so 1) follow customs, 2) anything stated just for you, never take it, it could be drugged. If that remark never comes, you're not supposed to be drinking on duty anyway here. 3) lock the door, bathroom and bedroom, so you never get jumped, 4) when meeting the king. Show of respect is down on one knee, arms crossed across the other, no lying now.
"And make eye contact with him, just start in the Ancient repository, but heads up, they love children, that cub in an adult body, is quite adorable to them." he said to him then and the brass of that reality nodded gently. "Thanks for the warning, and we'll remember that, your rules, after everything you did for us, we appreciate this alot." Dixon's double said smiling and he nodded. "Going to be fine now." he said and they nodded
"So Dan, this is where you come in, but you're the only one that can do this, and 2) everything we studied that is dead here on earth, is alive and thriving out there. Dan, it's up to you now, we're the best archeology mind there is, but believe me. It's that being part of the SGA, is a gift here, all science and exploration here now. So you get to study to your heart's content now." he said and his double nodded smiling to the advice.
"One thing left to do." he said and they nodded, as he inputted a set bio-signatures, and Teal'C's double appeared, before following him came Bra'tac, Vala, Cam and Jonas now. "Easy, before you shoot, I saved your wife and son, your mentor, they're fine. But you get your chance to fight for freedom now, and kill him finally, but I'm a child of the true gods." he said and Teal'C's double smiled, as the quartet looked at him in amazement then.
"Very well you convinced me, if you wish to test me, General, that's fine."he said and Hammond nodded. "Thanks again, for getting me reunited with my family, I wasn't sure here at the time, but knowing officers like this are magnets for trouble. I would have been killed if I went on that mission, but this I can take now, so thank you." his double said and Daniel nodded, as they watched him walk through, and headed for their mirror then.
And before he returned to their side. "The idea worked, we got the coordinates, and in exchange, I got them set up with their Asgard. And after arresting their Jack for attempted mutiny, in a stand up fight, so they're safe." he said and Landry nodded smiling, as they prepared for their version of the attack. "We let the SGC make that mistake, and you're on mission at the same time the attack happens." he said to him then gently.
"Now that makes a better episode then the one we saw now, you been spending all episode, making clear you know more then they do, and then arrest him. For going against orders after he attempted to bomb Chulak, I knew that would be the result, but that was never me. Q must have been impersonating me, testing the General seeing if he would launch. And his firm refusal proved he's like Jean Luc." Bert said and Hammond nodded in shock to the news in delight.
"Like I said man, best friend, you understand me perfectly, we both know getting violent could result in forcing a confrontation. We act now, it could make a bad situation worse, hence the counter remarks, you're not under fire, whose lives and why." he said and Bert smiled and she paled. "And there's the mind of a skilled commander, you know this, acting irrationally, could make things worse, so why, why risk it here." Henderson said gently to him then.
"Now the ULF was preferable to the stargate program, we still do gate operations, we're just not on the front lines, if I declined the mission, and then Uncle Brandon commed me. Saying we had a downed hatak, and this was my job now, as I make contact with dad. But not her, Janet, Makepeace or anyone else, the ULF is total ultra top secret, and nobody. On that side of the program ever found out about me, as I get married, and I have baby at this age right now."
"I'm a father with a 2 year old son, as everything worked out in the end, they distract him, and we blow away the engines, and beam back down." he said and Hammond smiled sternly at that, knowing he would still keep in touch, but he never wanted to be back involved with the Carters. As everything in this time line, played out, nearly identically to the first reality, they just prevented the attack 3 weeks prior and he stayed in Antarctica, as Hammond answered him.
"Me you preferred to see now, but knowing everything the last 2.5 years would be the result, you preferred, after getting chosen to activate the gate. Send Gareth along with the trio, and it still results in that, and you find the beta gate, and get it working. As you start bringing back technology, and not till Apophis arrives on the doorstep. Do we learn everything you collected, serves as chance to protect it, as we arrest O'neill."
"And Makepeace, as put them in psychiatric prison." he said and Daniel nodded. "Exactly, with nobody knowing me in your side of the program, I become the world renowned authority. And on anthropology missions, knowing Jack would persecute anyone that had no training of mind control techniques, and Sam following his lead, after they walked in there. And get tagged, and everything the following 4 years, results in me safely out here." He said and they paled.
"I call that dangerously competitive, he persecutes anyone that can out do him here, when they never had the ability to resist mind control techniques right now." Carson said and they all went white, realizing to them it didn't matter who the stooge for this was, it would always result. And in them ending up behind bars, because they couldn't admit they weren't capable. And of resisting a system lord queen whatsoever, as Maybourne swallowed, knowing he was screwed.
"From Steven, to Cameron, Dave, Kevin and me, why are you not going after the girls, or is this about your hormone levels, just like the lemon smell. Then caused the male side of the Narrator's squadron to end up dead, it never killed his best friend or their girl members. So why not the girls too, why only us?" he asked and they all went white as a ghost in fear. "Point taken, if it doesn't affect women, why are they not being persecuted, why only men."
"And not just any man, but a civilian?" Hammond asked and they all started shaking violently in fear, realizing they were completely screwed then. "Well sorry, he's free of this now, but in truth now, this is where he belongs, when he said, he always felt out of place, on earth. Well Earth is the SGC, he has a life, home and place here, right here, and we accept him for him, and use his gifts to save lives, not destroy them here gentlemen, but if it's the same."
"No matter who the archeologist is here, you'd do the same to all of them, you deserve to be in that cell for life, there are more important things then your pride. So get over it, there are more important thing at stake here." Barnes said, gripping Daniel's shoulders then and they all went white in fear then. "I was hoping you would find that report, in case we ever needed it then, but was hoping for a chance to meet you finally, Dave." he said and Barnes smiled gently then.
"But the most likely consequence to anthropology missions, is absolute terror, as these cultures are alive out there, but dead on earth, we could only take guesses. Here to what life was really like, before the 20th century, and now we get a live representation. And one that scares the pants off a jock headed grunt like this, literally now." Parker said, and Jack swallowed hard, at the wording, knowing he was right, this was the anthropology project of his worst nightmares.
"Well being turned into a human hunting hound, in her eyes, was preferable, to enforced commitment, it didn't matter who the man was, they get serious and she freaked now. Only now there's no pointing running from this, she's been chosen for rehabilitation now. Inside 17th century France, her mind says no, but her body says yes right now." Anna said and she swallowed hard, now realizing by doing what she done, they saw this was perfect rehab for her.
"I guess they had to see this coming, that the mission report, I nicknamed it the ULF, for anthropology research missions, if we had a crashed alien vessel. That ends up crashlanding somewhere on earth and the crash ends up being in the coldest continent on earth. That of all the military branches, of all the people that pick it up, it's David himself. And he tells the Admiral." he said and Alexander and Barnes smiled and nodded and Sam went pale at that.
"I knew of Dave himself, he's Uncle Brandon's best friend in the Navy." he said and she went white in shock. "Seeing in me, everything Uncle Brandon said, he knew the time would come, and it's after 2.5 years of ridicule in the Marines and Air Force. And because certain people can't admit they're not strong enough and try to kill their competition. To make them out as everything they been saying, since the cause arrived at the SGC." he said and she swallowed.
"Well I know you're not lying to me here right now, the other research got the attention of the Air Force, your first report, which was written 12 years ago. And when the president elect's father was still in office, got my attention, as I read through it. And maybe 1 in 25 similarity to Goodman's report, and knew immediately here you're a Crichton fan here. That if anyone could could communicate with our unexpected arrival, it would be you." Barnes said to him smiling.
"Goodman sounds better then Johnson actually here, in character names, but here's where you're trapped between two members of the team. And both are claiming the other is out of their mind, till you have to get all them and yourself out. Well here's the difference, she crazy, because she's as convinced as he is, my job is to inform them of the drugs, in the hospitality. Not what I been trained to do, oh no, I'm under contract by the military medical networks."
"But he never expected the Navy to pick up that report, me I knew it likely would get picked up by the military, but classic do's and don't, only mine was 3/4's real. And 1/4 fake, and the last was based on Crichton right now, and wouldn't you know it. That it, now, it gets picked up by Catherine and read, as a result, the ULF is born here now. And we have a downed hatak vessel on earth now, and at the bottom of the Antarctic Ocean." he said and Hoffman started laughing.
"Hence you using my own quotes, as my character, only the ULF is so overly classified, we can do whatever we want and get away with it, as we're black level. These lame brains are yellow to yellowish orange." he said and Sam paled at that, realizing his report was meant for the Navy, not for the Air Force, and by the time this did happen. He been so abused and overly worked, he was ready to retire from the Air Force, as he was now recruited by the Navy and OSSA now.
"Just saying this the way Sam would, but is we sorry too, but we is responsible for the destruction of a friendship being destroyed. We is responsible, for a command being shut down, we is responsible for a good man murdered, to protect the perfect weapon?" he said and Sam swallowed hard, realizing the we was the intelligence division, they destroyed their team. They destroyed the SGC, they murdered a man to protect the program, and she was involved in it.
All of it, but she was only trying to protect herself, she allowed them to manipulate her, but it was the only way to protect herself from further conversion. She wasn't ready to get married, but she destroyed everything, her entire life, by listening to Jack and Makepeace. "I guess she thinks this was the only way to save herself, pretend it was for the best, but in truth. She did the same thing Billy did, and you're Sam in everything that counts." Keough said to him gently.
"Either way she lost her god damn mind, it's not my job to save them from making fools of themselves, they should have the common sense to know when the words are never said. Then never take it, it could be drugged, smelling that heavily of fall baking seasonings now. Then same thing here, I'm not being paid here to keep them from making an ass of themselves. But to bring you my scientific findings, the guys and Annie with me." he said and she went white.
"Agreed, we all see it that way, you're not being paid to keep them updated on what's drugged and what isn't, the grunts need to pay more attention to their surroundings. And she just got added to the grunts, because she's seeing your job as a waste of time, energy and money. So she's a grunt, she doesn't deserve your friendship, you deserve better then this in truth, baby." Daniels said sternly and she swallowed hard. "Love you too, boss." he said and he smiled then.
In affection at him, and she started shaking in fear, seeing he and his team, like their version, adored him. "Not calling my first official decision on a hunch, till I get all the facts, but as before here right now, as you said. That if there's a chance, if there's a chance, even a chance that the trip to the A.R. is true, we have to take the chance. And you do it and look at this, we're alive because of you, baby, but she's listening to crazed military officers, specializing here now."
"And in chronic paranoia, and the paranoid schizophrenia is all part of being a military intelligence services, only she refuses to see that. Because she's as ignorant of idealism as they are, based on being a realist, only realism here. Is why they never brought anything back, because of all this national security crap, your idea of a perfect world. Said is based on the technologies you bring back, not what they do." Keough said sternly and she went white at that.
"Realism is the way things are, and it's destroying this planet, but idealism, is a way to create the planet into a total paradise. Your findings are like digging up an enhanced digsite here, and you're bring out more everyday. You reopened the dig after 20 years, all these shits see it as a weapon, you see it as way to the future. But these little brats don't see shit, and they're not paid to see shit, anything not worth being a weapon is ignored, and they sucked her into it."
"She's as ignorant of what the world could be, if not outside the lines of her perception, she's as close minded here as they are, but then why not, she's a command born. You're a medical born, trained to see a perfect world, in all idealism now, and being out here shows beauty." Dr. Matheson said and Sam swallowed hard, now realizing the brass in all 3 departments. They saw she was out of her damn mind, because she saw this the way the NID and the trio did now.
That keeping them updated was what they were being paid to do, while they were distracting him from getting his real job done, and now the tables had turned. They were locked up, and he was getting his real job done at last, while updating everything that needed updating. With SG-11 captured by Apophis and killed, training was changed, the outposts were changed. To get them out of range of the renegade system lords, and he was doing the meet and greets now.
"The Alpha and beta sites were compromised, after Larry and his unit got arrested, so the research center that had Jenny going there, is the Alpha site, just don't irritate the alien fauna. And 2) is finding a planet now that the system lords, majority or renegades can not find, anything inside the Cartouche is open season, but the Ancient repository. That's the key now, as we set up Camp David for all the world leaders and the president." he said to her gently then.
"Fast question son, as somehow he knew everything right now, about where to counteract things, in arresting them, did you go to him?" Addison asked and he smiled and Clinton smiled then. "I did, want to see it?" he asked and they nodded. "Please." he said and Daniel nodded and activated that memory, as he checked the numbering and landed on Shyla's planet. Nodded and dialed there, as he went through, and walked right into the delivery team who also arrived.
"Whoa, ahh sorry, I'm not a god or anything, I swear, I come on behalf of my department forces, called the SGA. So blue department, I want, I wish, to see your leader." he said and they nodded gently then. "Very well, we can take you to our leader." he said and he nodded. "Philonius, leave Alexander and Claude to make delivery, come with me, so may I ask your name." Queen, then Princess, Shyla said to him gently then.
And he nodded smiling gently then. "May I ask what your century you are, if you carry that name boys?" he asked and they chuckled. "We're mid 17th century, but I suppose this helps here now, Je m'appelle Shyla, et vous l'êtes?" she said in french and he smiled, as he responded in kind to her."Je m'appelle Commandant Daniel Jackson, mais tu peux m'appeler Daniel, princesse" he said in response and then switched back to english then.
"Knowing immediately your time frame, you only know Army and Navy, so Navy, I'm a Naval Commander in the military on Earth, my name is Commander Daniel Jackson." he said and she nodded, smiling. "Nice to meet you Commander Jackson, I am Princess Shyla, ambassador of La Rochelle, I was just doing our moonly drop off. When at the ring, and to answer your other question on who rules here right now, in truth now."
"My father is king and leader here, Commander Jackson, so if you wish to stay a while, you get your first lesson, before traveling around my kingdom. But there are 17 courts, us, as the Castle, and 6 commoners." she said and he nodded, smiling, before seeing the look that said the doctor imprinted on him.
