Plot – Everyone became very joyous to see Miranda back after she was resurrected. Dr. Jones takes Koji out on a special fishing trip that he used to do with his father on his birthday. Their happy time together is interrupted by not only Bruticus and Ruination, but also his resurrected father, Dr. Kenneth Onishi. That's when Koji has acquired another new Energon technique from within himself and as he utilizes it, the results are extremely perplexing to everyone.
Chapter 31: Field Trip Gone Wrong
At Autobot HQ, everyone became genuinely excited to see Miranda Jones fully revived after M-Ai poisoned her with Energon Gas. They told her everything about the recent events that had transpired: the Dark Energon, Kicker and his companions earning their armor transformations, the Energon Fusion, rescuing Artemis from an abandoned laboratory, T-Ai's evil clone, recruited Ga'Mede and Magnificus from the Decepticons, Kicker's proposal to Misha, the arrival of Stella Holley and finally Alexis's heartfelt reunion with Starscream after he officially became an Autobot through a vigorous challenge.
In return, Dr. Jones explained to everybody as to why Miranda was left behind during the Autobots' struggle against the Decepticons and it was all because she wanted to stay at home until M-Ai appeared at the house and assaulted her. Although Optimus and the entire group were appalled of his actions, they understood about Miranda not wanting to witness her children being harmed or worse, losing their lives during the ongoing battle.
While the Jones family rejoice themselves, over at Koji's dormitory, he sat alone on the bed and glanced at the family photo of himself, his mother and his late father. Not wanting to stare any longer, he puts it away and scrunched his legs. He nestles his head on his knees and was about to cry softly until he heard the door chime. He wipes away his single tear and responded. "It's open."
When the corridor was opened, T-Ai and Noriko walked inside as they're both wondering why Koji is sitting all by himself.
"There you are, Koji."
"What's wrong?"
He glanced at them for a moment and slouched his head back down on his knees.
Noriko realizes why he's feeling withdrawn. "I get it. You're still thinking about my late husband."
"It's not just that. Today is his birthday and we used to go fishing." He lets out a small sigh.
"Goodness. It's already that time?" asked T-Ai to Noriko.
"I'm afraid so. To be honest, it was their tradition from back then." As she stares at Koji sulking, both herself and T-Ai stepped out of his room and continued on. "My husband and son had a very strong connection. They were always smiling and laughing, during their time together. When I found out that he died from a heart attack, part of Koji died with it. He was living on his own until that day and therefore, I will support my son in anyway possible."
After Noriko finishes her story, T-Ai wiped the tears from her eyes. "That was...so touching. It's...almost in contrast with my bond towards Koji."
"Indeed, it does. I'm very certain that you'll become a lovely wife towards my son."
This caused T-Ai's entire face to turn cherry red and shook her head in denial. "Eh? Th-That can't be true! I-I'm not ready yet!"
Noriko giggled. "Don't worry. Your time will come. But for right now, let's leave Koji alone. If we try to help him out, we'll be creating more holes in his heart than it was since my husband's passing."
"I understand," says T-Ai sadly and as she takes one last glance at Koji, she leaves his dormitory with Noriko at her side.
Unbeknownst to the two women, Dr. Jones overheard their conversation regarding Koji's connection with his late father and the memories they've shared. Upon remembering what he said during Misha's outburst over Stella, it gave him an odd but very interesting idea. So, he heads over to Koji's room.
After sulking to himself for several minutes, Koji lifts his head up and got out of his bed. He was about to join up with the rest of his friends until he's greeted by Dr. Jones himself. "Huh? Dr. Jones? What are you doing here?"
"Forgive me for barging in, Koji but, do you have a moment?"
"O-Okay, I guess."
He shows Dr. Jones the family picture of himself, Noriko and his late father, Dr. Kenneth Onishi smiling together.
Once the Energon expert scientist glances at the photo, he turns back to Koji. "You have one special family. It's very unfortunate that I never met him." He narrowed his eyes. "So, how come you walked out and sat all by yourself? Is it because of what happened to him?"
Koji turned his head away slightly.
That's when Dr. Jones spotted some small tears coming from Koji's eyes. "H-Hey! Did I say something wrong?"
"No. It's his birthday today and we would've gone fishing, if he hadn't suffered a heart attack" told Koji as tears flowed down on his cheeks and started crying softly.
Dr. Jones felt really bad about Koji losing his father. He traced back his memories about how he treated his son by using his Energon sensing abilities to locate stashes of Energon and straining his relationship with Misha. That also involves the incident, when Kicker (as a kid) was left drifting all alone in an asteroid field and felt very shaken. After going down memory lane, he placed his hand on Koji's shoulder and responded. "Koji, I know this will sound awfully silly, but I was thinking of acting as your dad on his birthday."
"Huh? B-But, what for?" thought Koji.
He explained. "To commemorate him on that special day by going fishing. Even though I overheard your conversation with your mother and best friend, I'd figured that I would assist you. In other words, I would act as a substitute for him."
"R-Really? You mean it?"
"Of course. Insuring that your late father's birthday wouldn't be for nothing" says Dr. Jones to him.
Feeling grateful that he's willing to spend time with him, Koji threw his arms around Dr. Jones' waist. "Thank you!"
"You're welcome. Just to make sure that our trip would be secured, let's inform Optimus about it" says Dr. Jones.
Immediately at the Main Control System, they speak to Optimus and the Autobots about their fishing trip by commemorating Koji's late father's birthday. Although skeptical, they agreed with his suggestion.
"A fishing trip? Sounds promising for Koji. But for safety measures, I'll have the Autobot Brothers to keep a close eye on you both."
"Thanks a lot, Optimus. We'll make sure this will be a memorable one" told Dr. Jones. "Ready, Koji?"
"Yeah!"
Now already at the famous Clear Lake, Koji and Dr. Jones sat on the fishing boat to commemorate the late Dr. Kenneth Onishi's birthday.
Over on the grassy area, the Autobot Brothers, Sideburn, X-Brawn and Prowl are on-patrol.
"You know, I think that it was really nice of Dr. Jones to act as Koji's father by going fishing."
"I agree. Even though it's only a one-timer, he wants to ensure that Koji's heart won't be shallow any longer."
"I still feel sorry for Koji. After what he went through over the last several years, he doesn't feel alone anymore now that T-Ai is human."
On the fishing boat, Koji informs Dr. Jones, while holding onto his fishing rod. "I still want to thank you for bringing me out here."
"Don't mention it. By the way, your mother is really beautiful, just like my wife. Now, fully revived."
"I know. Come to think of it, I wonder how Alexis and the others are reacting right now?" Prior to Koji's prediction, he was actually correct.
At the Infirmary room, Alexis, Stella, Noriko, Bud, Lori, Coby and T-Ai were all very shocked to see Miranda Jones revived after she was originally victimized by Energon Gas. Also among them are Carlos, Rad, Ga'Mede, Sally, Kicker and Misha.
"Y-You...You came back!"
"Unbelievable!"
"My goodness!"
"No way!
"I don't believe it!"
"Astonishing!"
Whereas T-Ai, her eyes were widened and her mouth was opened dry while her body was frozen stiff as a board regarding Miranda's shocking revival.
Alexis, in her leg cast, piqued up. "How did this happen?"
Miranda answered. "According to my husband, the boys' armor transformation powers and the Neo-Dark Energon extracted from Artemis were all combined into a huge orb. Therefore, I was resurrected without having any side effects."
"Well, that explains a lot" says Coby to Lori and Bud as they both nodded their heads.
"Even we couldn't believe it, either" added Carlos. Then, he noticed someone missing from the group. "Hold on. Where's Koji and Dr. Jones?"
"He went off with Kicker's father to go fishing. The reason why is because it was meant for Koji's Dad on his birthday and since he passed on from a heart attack, Dr. Jones figured he would act as his substitute" told Alexis.
"But, who's watching over them, during their time together?" thought Sally.
"No worries. Optimus insisted that the Autobot Brothers would keep a close eye on them, in case of any Decepticon activities" answered Ga'Mede.
"That's fine. As long as they're enjoying themselves, we'll have other things to worry about" informed Kicker.
Rad narrowed his eyes. "Like how to deal with the Neo-Dark Energon and not getting ourselves infected."
"Exactly. However, both Galvatron and Cryotek are doing more than just resurrecting Koji's late father" says T-Ai.
"Would that be enslaving Earth, Cybertron and even the entire universe with their diabolical weapon?" wondered Stella.
T-Ai thought for a moment and immediately replied back. "It's highly possible but, what if they're bringing back more people from the afterlife other than Dr. Onishi?"
Kicker's eyes flashed in shock and glanced back at Misha with a look of concern on his face. "No way. They wouldn't."
While they all try to piece together the rest of Galvatron and Cryotek's heinous plan, over at the Decepticon base, the Decepticon leaders are watching Koji and Dr. Jones on their fishing boat by catching many fish at the famous Clear Lake; during their spectating, they listened to their conversation.
Koji: "This is the best day ever! How can I ever thank you?"
Dr. Jones: "My pleasure, Koji. After all, it was my idea to commemorate your late dad's birthday by acting as a substitute. By the way, you said that you wanted to be just like your father, right?"
Koji (nods his head): "Of course. It's my dream to become a scientist. My Mom is already proud of me."
Dr. Jones: "I'm sure that she is and so does your girlfriend, T-Ai. In fact, do you like her more than Alexis?"
Koji (blushes in embarrassment): "H-Hey! That's not funny! Just because I helped her out from what happened to Rad, it doesn't mean that I'm falling for her. Besides, she and I are just acquaintances."
Dr. Jones: "It's okay. I was only teasing you. What could possibly go wrong?"
Galvatron grinned with interest. "The only thing that will go wrong for you two is interference."
"And we know just the right person for this occasion: Bruticus!" called Cryotek.
"Yes, master!"
"Head over to Clear Lake and give those two humans a real surprise" commanded Cryotek to Bruticus.
"As you wish. Anything else?"
Galvatron retorted. "Take Mega-Octane and his companions with you, along with a certain someone that only Koji knows best."
Back on over at Clear Lake, Koji and Dr. Jones have been catching more and more fish for the last few hours.
As for the Autobot Brothers, one of them was starting to feel impatient and that was Sideburn.
"Aw, man! How much longer can this go on? It's been nearly three hours and we haven't done anything!"
"Quit your complaining, Sideburn. Optimus strongly advised us to watch over them. If the Decepticons show up, there's no telling when and where they'll strike" says Prowl.
X-Brawn agreed with his brother. "He's right. I also don't like it but we can do?"
During their conversation, Bruticus appeared on the other side of Clear Lake after seeing Koji and Dr Jones on the boat from a long distance. By licking his robotic lips with his long tongue, he dove into the lake and swam deep underwater; in order to catch his prey undetected. After a short while, he finds their boat and was about to tip them over until he sees a fishing hook. When he looked up, it belonged to Koji and that gave him a very cunning idea.
On the fishing boat, Dr. Jones looks over at the basket full of captured fish they've recently caught and then looking at Koji smiling. He felt relieved that his time spending with Koji by acting as his father has worked out swell.
Suddenly, he hears Koji trying to reel in a big catch from his fishing rod.
"Hey! I think, I've caught a really big one!"
"Really? Let me help." Dr. Jones puts his fishing rod aside and assist Koji by wrapping his arms around his waist.
Regardless of their combined efforts, they're unable to reel in the big bait.
"Whatever this is, it won't give up without a fight" says Koji maintaining his grip on his fishing rod.
"Well then, don't lose it" inquired Dr. Jones.
Over on the grassy area, an alarm had been triggered and it alerted Sideburn and his brothers detecting a Decepticon nearby.
"Uh-oh! We've got trouble! There's a Deception in our area!"
"What?" Prowl surveys Clear Lake and sees nothing but pure green trees, picnic tables, cabins and other exotic wildlife. "But, I don't see any of them."
"That's because it's not coming from above or behind us. It's coming from below and it's..." X-Brawn gasped in shock and once he veers at Koji and Dr. Jones on the fishing boat trying to pull in their biggest catch yet, he realizes where it is and as he transforms into his robot form, he tries to warn them. "Koji! Dr. Jones! That's no fish! That's a Decepticon!"
"Huh?" they both said in unison.
Unfortunately, he was too late and it pulls Koji from Dr. Jones' grasp and deep into the water with the fishing rod still in his hands.
"Koji!" cried Dr. Jones. He turns to the Autobot Brothers. "X-Brawn! Prowl! Sideburn! Koji is deep underwater and he might drown! We've got to save him!"
"That's what you think, Auto-chumps!" says a new voice.
As soon as they all turned around, they're being confronted by Ruination.
"This isn't good. We have'll to call in some backup" suggested X-Brawn.
"Agreed. Dr. Jones, notify Optimus Prime while we fend off Ruination as much as possible. Prowl, supercharge!"
"X-Brawn, supercharge!"
"Sideburn, supercharge!"
In the midsts of the three supercharged Autobot Brothers brawling against Ruination, Dr. Jones contacts Optimus at Autobot HQ. "This is Dr. Jones. We have an urgent situation on our hands." He is later shown on the Viewing Monitor screen and informs everybody.
"We hear you loud and clear, Dr. Jones. What is it?" asked Optimus.
"The Autobot Brothers are battling Ruination after we discovered that the big fish was actually a Decepticon. It's dragging Koji deep underwater."
"Oh, no!" cried T-Ai.
"He needs our help!" insisted Misha.
Optimus turns to his second-in-command, Rodimus. "Rodimus, take the Build Team with you, along with Rad, Kicker, Ga'Mede and Magnificus."
"Affirmative, sir! Let's move out! Activate the Space Bridge, T-Ai!" called Rodimus.
"No problem!" she starts up the Space Bridge and the gateway to Clear Lake was formed.
"Rodimus, Transform!" He opens the door for Rad and Kicker already donning their armor outfits. They wasted no time getting inside his vehicle mode, buckling their seatbelts after closing the doors and sped off into the Space Bridge.
The Build Team are already on the way and so does Ga'Mede and Magnificus trailing along with them.
After Optimus deploys some reinforcements, Dr. Jones notifies Optimus about a surprising request. "Optimus, this will sound awfully crazy but I'm going after Koji. Over and out."
"Wait a minute!" called Optimus but it was already too late as Dr. Jones shuts off the transmission and starts the throttle from the fishing boat in order to reach Koji.
In the mean time, Koji is holding his breath underwater as long as possible while getting dragged by Bruticus.
Cryotek's loyal servant was enjoying himself with his victim until he notices Dr. Jones coming in fast with the fishing boat. "So, you wanna race? Fine! I'm game!" He continues to drag Koji with the fishing hook lodged in his razor sharp teeth and so, he makes a tight turn by choosing left and swam faster.
Dr. Jones does the same and kept up with the wretched Decepticon. "I'll bet Galvatron and Cryotek are behind this fiasco!" He increases the speed on the fishing boat, while refusing to lose sight of them.
Bruticus scoffed. "Incompetent human!"
The race for Koji went on for several minutes by taking left and right turns until suddenly Koji starts losing air and also the grip on his fishing rod. Bruticus took full notice of this and by seeing his victim about to get drowned, he lets go of the fishing hook and retreated by joining up with Ruination against the supercharged Autobot Brothers on the other side.
Around the same time, Dr. Jones slows down the fishing boat by applying the brakes. "Damn! He got away." His disappointment of pursuing the Decepticon had immediately turned into horror, when he saw Koji floating lifelessly on the water. "Oh, my god! Koji!" He quickly pulls him out of the water and began CPR on him. "Come on, Koji! Don't quit now!" After a few minutes, it looked as though he was unable to save him and felt very upset.
However, he heard Koji cough up from the water that he inhaled after Bruticus dragged him deep underwater. He coughed up even more until he finally grasped for some fresh air and turned to Dr. Jones.
"Koji, are you alright? You nearly scared me" he said.
In-spite of getting himself wet, he replied back. "Dr. Jones, I...". He gave him a big hug. "Thanks for saving me."
"We'll talk later. Right now, the Autobot Brothers could really use our help."
"But what about..." he immediately gets cut off by a huge purple vine that wrapped around his neck and pulled him into the forest. Much like from before, he grasped for air and was left wondering as to who grabbed him from behind. "Who did that?"
Simultaneously, Dr. Jones sped up with Koji and by placing the anchor onto the soft sand, he gets out of the fishing boat and stood next to him. "Are you okay, Koji?"
"Yes, I am but...". He paused and felt a small chill coming down from his spine. As soon as he stood up, his forehead had already began sweating bullets and his body beginning to shake.
"H-Hey! What's the matter? Why are you feeling so nervous?" asked Dr. Jones.
Rather than replying back, Koji points at the middle of the forest and as he followed him, he too became very shocked to see what's approaching to them.
Walking towards the two individuals is the resurrected Dr. Kenneth Onishi with dark purple eyes, dark purple veins on his hands, face and a dark purple aura wrapping around his entire body. He growled in pure anger.
Not only were they stunned, so did everybody at Autobot HQ witnessing Koji's revived father as the Decepticon's lackey.
When Noriko saw her dead husband come back to life as a hideous monstrosity, she fainted until Stella catches her before she hit the floor.
"Let's bring her back inside Koji's room so she can recuperate" insisted Stella to Carlos.
"Good idea." He helps Stella carry the unconscious Noriko to Koji's room in order to recover from the shock of her husband revived in a gruesome way.
"In the name of Planet Cybertron" gasped Optimus in utter shock.
T-Ai's eyes were filled with deep concern for her best friend. "Koji...".
Elsewhere, The Build Team combined themselves into Landfill to even things up with the supercharged Autobot Brothers against Ruination. Ga'Mede and Magnificus had already joined in after he requested to Rodimus by splitting up with him, Rad and Kicker to where Koji and Dr. Jones are at.
Once the two armoured men caught up with them, they also became horrified to see the resurrected Dr. Onishi enshrouded in a dark purple and black aura.
This resulted of Kicker's hair turning brightly gold upon feeling the massive amount of Neo-Dark Energon surging inside of Koji's late father. He placed his hands on his head and fell down to one knee. "Argh! My head! It hurts!"
"Kicker!" cried Misha upon seeing him writhe in pain from the Neo-Dark Energon coming from Dr. Onishi.
"Maintain yourself, Kicker! Fight it! Try and remember the people that you deeply care about!" told Rad.
By focusing on the most important things in his life such as Misha, his family, friends and the Autobots, he managed to withstand the Neo-Dark Energon by standing up on his on two feet and took a deep breath. He now remained calm and focused. "Thanks, Rad. I feel a lot better already."
Displeased that Kicker was able to survive his headache, Dr. Onishi grunted with displeasure and charges up his Neo-Dark Energon powers from within himself in a loud roar with light purple lightning surrounding his whole body. This caused the entire ground to shake violently and several trees getting blown away, along with the waters of Clear Lake creating small tidal waves.
It alerted the Autobot Brothers, Landfill, Rodimus, Magnificus and Ga'Mede by catching a glimpse of Dr. Onishi's raw power after defeating Ruination altogether.
"Sufferin' succotash! Are you guys seeing this?" cried X-Brawn.
"Yes, we are. By the All-Spark..." says a shocked Prowl.
Ga'Mede and Magnificus also became astonished.
"The audicty! This is just like from before, but only much worse."
"Definitely. The Decepticons reviving that kid's father as their own weapon of mass destruction is very sickening to both of us!"
Rodimus could feel his spark filled with anger. "I totally agree. Let's join up with Kicker and the others."
The Autobots all nodded and proceeded to the other side of the forest.
After a few minutes, Dr. Onishi had finished charging up by taking some small breaths and then, a wild grin was made on his bearded and purple veined face.
"I don't like the look of that" says Dr. Jones, while standing next to Koji's side.
Koji was still left frozen upon witnessing his late father revived. That's when he recalled his previous meeting with a familiar woman from awhile back.
(Begin Flashback)
M-Ai: "What you believe from Galvatron and Cryotek isn't true."
Koji: "Say that again?"
M-Ai: "I said, their plan of reviving your deceased father is slightly off. He is nothing more than a fake."
Noriko: "A…A fake? You mean that my dead husband is actually…a clone?"
M-Ai: "That's exactly what I mean."
Koji: "Good grief. What else is going to happen?"
(End Flashback)
Now that he remembers his conversation with the spirit of T-Ai's dark twin relating to his late father being revived by Galvatron and Cryotek, he closed his eyes, takes a deep breath and crossed his arms in an X formation.
This sparked some curiosity from both Galvatron and Cryotek at the Decepticon base.
"What is Koji up to?"
"Who knows? Perhaps, it's another trick."
Back on over to Koji, he shouts out his latest Energon technique that he recently acquired from an old ally. "Energon..." With a flash from his eyes, he concludes his sentence. "Partner Assist!"
Everyone from all sides, Autobots, humans and Decepticons felt very shocked to hear Koji learning a new move.
When that occurred, the mystified orb that was inside of Koji had exited from out of his body and as floats in mid-air, it began to form a human body. First came from the legs, then the arms, waist, chest and finally the face of a young woman that Koji, Rad, Kicker and Dr. Jones instantly recognized after Koji's new technique was completed.
It was none other than M-Ai, except with a lot of big changes. Her original outfit that was midnight black is now sunlight yellow, the scar on her face is forever gone, her eyes that were dark purple are now semi-light brown and the Decepticon insignia on her helmet has been replaced by an Autobot. In addition to her new appearance, her short auburn hair has lengthened including her smooth legs and the expansion of her chest. With a big smile on her pretty face, she turns to Koji in a very cheerful mood. "Hi, Koji. It's me, M-Ai, reporting for duty." By saluting at him, she winked.
"WH-WHAT?!" cried Koji in total bewilderment with his eyes bugged out and his mouth wide opened.
He wasn't the only one that was left completely stunned, so does Rad, Kicker, Dr. Jones and everybody at Autobot HQ. When the Autobot Brothers, Landfill, Rodimus, Magnificus and Ga'Mede arrived at the same time, they also had the same reaction to witness the rebirth of M-Ai.
Even Galvatron and Cryotek couldn't believe their optic sensors that their original enemy they thought was long gone had merged with Koji.
"I don't believe it!"
"You can't be serious?! She's an Autobot now?! Incomprehensible!"
Feeling extremely perplexed and speechless upon M-Ai's reappearance as an ally, Koji gazed at her in total disbelief. "M-M-Ai? How did you become like this?"
Instead of answering his question regarding her reappearance, she turned serious by pulling him out of harm's way. "We'll talk later. Right now, we need to formulate a plan against your father's clone."
"What did you say?" says a startled Kicker.
"He's nothing but a copy. Galvatron and Cryotek revived him by absorbing the ashes from his grave and turning him into their guinea pig for the Neo-Dark Energon" answered M-Ai.
"That makes complete sense" thought Dr. Jones. "The nerve of them reviving Koji's father as their personalized lapdog!"
Rad also agreed with M-Ai's statement. "It's hard for me to say this but, I actually believe her."
Already feeling very impatient and aggravated, Dr. Onishi unleashed his Neo-Dark Energon powers with a swing from his Sword of Fury that violently blew off many trees and bushes. Fortunately for Koji and the rest of his colleagues, they were all able to avoid his deadly attack.
"He's almost as dangerous as one of the Nine Great Generals from the Decepticons!" says Ga'Mede.
"Don't be ridiculous! He was never like that! Wait a minute, do you know who the Nine Great Generals are?" asked Kicker.
Ga'Mede retorted. "What do I look like? A Micromaster? Of course not! Let's get our head back in the game!" He turns to Koji. "Are you still willing to fight with us?"
In-spite of feeling afraid of witnessing his deceased father revived as a mindless Decepticon lackey and also speechless of M-Ai's rebirth, he nods his head. "Yeah!" He takes off his normal clothes to reveal his full battle armour outfit. But before he and the other three men could commence their battle, M-Ai halted them.
"Hold it. I think, I should handle this bully on my own."
"Excuse me?" wondered Rad.
M-Ai countered. "It's nothing personal. I strongly advise you all to preserve your strength. If I'm backed up against the corner, then your help will be most grateful."
Kicker glared at M-Ai's new apparel. He still couldn't believe that it's the same individual who not only attacked Rad and Koji but also infected him with the original Dark Energon, holding Misha hostage, took her mother's life with Energon Gas and risking her own life-force to save his. After debating with himself, he turns to them. "Okay, then. Let's trust her for once."
"We should, because he's heading right this way!" yelled Dr. Jones by alerting them that Dr. Onishi is charging straight at them with his Sword of Fury.
Kicker, Rad, Koji, Dr. Jones and Ga'Mede immediately joined up with the Autobot Brothers, Landfill, Rodimus and Magnificus as they all spectate M-Ai facing off against Dr. Onishi.
Yet for some odd reason, M-Ai remained very calm under fire.
As soon as Dr. Onishi swung his Sword of Fury right onto her, she caught it with just one hand. While he's left shocked and confused, M-Ai uses it as an advantage by punching him in the stomach so hard that it sent him far away from her and everybody else as he crashes into a nearby cabin on the other side of the forest, where he gets buried under a big pile of logs.
"Holy Toledo! She just clocked him with just one punch!" cried X-Brawn upon seeing the reformed M-Ai in action.
"I know, right?" thought Sideburn.
"You really think so?" wondered Prowl.
"Yeah! She wasn't even afraid of him" added Landfill.
Whereas Rodimus, he starts having suspicions about Koji's latest Energon technique relating to M-Ai's reformation.
Just then, a surge of dark purple light emanated from underneath the rubble and Dr. Onishi emerges with his Sword of Fury in his hands. He roared loudly in anger and quickly charged back onto the forest of Clear Lake, where M-Ai is. He was just about to counterattack at her until he heard Galvatron and Cryotek inside his mind that caused him to halt and from a few feet away from M-Ai and company.
"Dr. Onishi, report back to us, now!"
"That's a direct order! Recharge yourself and then, you'll pulverize them all!"
By listening to the Decepticons' leaders strong advice, he cancels out his Sword of Fury. He was about to return to the Decepticon base, when he pulls out a small piece of paper from his lab pocket and throws at M-Ai as she catches it by the tip of her fingers. Right after that, he teleported and thus, leaving the Autobots, humans and a reformed M-Ai in the forest.
"He retreated. I wonder, why?" asked Rad.
Kicker narrowed his eyes. "Something's amiss."
Ga'Mede turns to him. "What might that be? More clones or worse?"
"There's nothing worse than the Decepticons creating clones. Let alone, infecting the Earth, Cybertron and the whole galaxy with Neo-Dark Energon" informed Koji.
During their conversation, M-Ai opened up the piece of paper that was given to her by Dr. Onishi earlier and as she read it, she gasped in bewilderment. "What?! No way!"
When they overheard her reaction, Kicker was the first to join in and asked her. "What is it?" As she hands him over the small piece of paper, he too read it and his eyes were widened in horror. "I knew it!"
"What's wrong, Kicker? You look like you just saw a ghost of Unicron" says Dr. Jones by joining up with him.
As he glanced at his father for a brief moment and the piece of paper both himself and M-Ai had recently read, he immediately crumbled the paper. "Dad, whatever you or anyone else do..." He whispered in his father's ear. "We mustn't tell Misha about this or she'll be really devastated."
"Huh? What's her involvement with them?" Dr. Jones offered, while he raised his eyebrow in question.
With sweat forming on his forehead, Kicker shook his head. "I-I don't want to talk about it."
While Koji, Rad, Ga'Mede and the Autobots are left questioned about Kicker's horrific discovery from M-Ai, back inside the Decepticon base, Galvatron and Cryotek quickly placed Dr. Jones in a pool filled with Neo-Dark Energon in order to recharge his strength.
"We're most fortunate that he only used one-third of his Neo-Dark Energon powers. Are you sure that it was wise of him to pass along the message?"
"Definitely. Utilizing the Neo-Dark Energon on the deceased is very sufficient. Still, we've only just begun our other subjects."
Galvatron grinned. "Of course." He turns over to see the two stasis pods sitting next to the pool of Neo-Dark Energon, where Dr. Onishi is resting. "They thought that resurrecting Koji's father was our top priority. But, he's not the only one that we're bringing back." By turning back to Cryotek, he starts to laugh and so did the aqua-blue dragon as they laughed madly in unison.
Inside one of the two stasis pods, there was a radiant flash from its eyes.
