After escaping a pack of Slayer Wolves, the group froze in front of a swamp. After being almost taken away by a swamp monster, Eugene suggests taking the long ride, until Adira arrives.

"I had no idea people from Corona were such… quitters." She cut a tree near the swamp that became a bridge to cross the swamp. "You know, I always say… if you can't go through something, go over it." Adira stepping up onto the tree-bridge she just cut.

"Wow!" Amazed Lance. "I guess chivalry's not dead!"

"I told you I'd be around if trouble came your way." She came down from the trunk and landed in front of the group. "And, well, here I am. Your new guide."

"Yeah, you were a real help with those Slayer Wolves back there." Sarcastic Hook Foot, folding his arms.

"You be quiet!" Lance scolds him defensively, and then continues admiring Adira.

Cassandra clears her throat loudly to get Rapunzel's attention, then pulls her aside to talk privately.

"Rapunzel, we talked about this. I don't trust this woman. She keeps popping up out of nowhere and I don't like it. Not to mention another person slowing us down…"

However, Eugene interrupted her. "Although I don't normally listen to you, Cass, I have to say that this time... she's coming with us."

"What!?" Both girls were speechless, especially Cassandra. "Fitzherbert, did you bump your head? Since when do you let anyone help us other than you?"

"Look, I don't know what it tells me, but I feel like we can trust her."

After some silence, Cassandra reluctantly consented. "Fine."

"Excellent!" She said smiling. "You've made the only decision there is. The right one."

Everyone got in the caravan, with Adira sitting on the roof. "That way!"

And so, Eugene drove the horses across the swamp. They arrived at the other side and entered a dark, spooky forest, which is constantly moving and changing; after a while they ended up getting lost and also losing the caravan and the horses.

"Ugh, we're never getting out of here!" Cassandra groaned.

"We will if we use the map, Short Hair." Adira said.

"What did you call me?" Irritated Cassandra.

"I find referring to people by a defining characteristic is more time-efficient than learning their names. Hence Short Hair." Adira explains, then points out the other nicknames for the rest of the group.

"Earrings." She points to Lance who sighs happily.

"Soiled Gnome." Then Shorty. "Seems accurate."

"And… Hook Foot." And last Hook Foot who is disappointed. "Aww, that's just my actual name."

Then Cassandra started laughing and then she asked. "What's Eugene's?"

Adira pauses before replying. "Fish Skin."

Cassandra laughed even more waiting for Eugene to protest, but instead he replied: "Okay, that's fine."

Everyone was speechless, then they started walking again. Throughout the journey, Eugene is always close to Adira: to climb a cliff, to find shelter from the rain and even when they have been trapped by climbers.

Night fell and the party made camp. They lit a bonfire and sat around it, staring into the almost hypnotic flames as Adira cooked dinner. Everyone complimented her on the food, but she didn't listen to them, because she stared intently at Eugene who hadn't even touched his food.

"What's wrong Fish Skin? Aren't you hungry?" She asked him.

Eugene jolted. "Uh? Oh… no, I was just waiting for the cobbler made cool." Then he blew two or three times to make it cool and then he ate it. Adira kept staring at him, and then when he ate it, he said, "It's good... but it has a familiar I don't know what." Adira gasped slightly and then remembered.

(Flashback) Adira was in the royal kitchens of the castle of the Dark Kingdom with Horace. She had cooked him a cobbler that he was about to taste. (A/N the way he tried the cobbler was that he blew two or three times, then opened his mouth big and when he brought the fork to his mouth, he had full cheeks). Adira anxiously waited for the Prince's answer. "It's really good." Horace replied after tasting the cobbler. "Do you like it? Oh, that's nice." Adira was happy that the prince liked the dessert and hugged him. (End flashback)

"What the-" Adira gasped slightly again and stood up, dropping something from a pocket.

Eugene picked up the object in question, which was a mobile with stars and the moon in the center. "Oh, you dropped this."

Adira grabbed it abruptly. "This must not be touched, okay?" She exclaimed, all were surprised because as you could see, she is usually very calm.

Seeing how they stared at her, she immediately calmed down. "Sorry." She replied. "It's just... this object is very important to me." She looked sadly at the toy. "It belonged to a friend of mine's son."

Rapunzel looked at her worried. "Belonged? What happened to him?" "He didn't die. I just... lost him forever."

After a few minutes of silence, everyone fell asleep. All were quiet, except for Eugene who seemed to squirm in his sleep and, suddenly, was caught by a strange dream.

(Eugene's dream) A music that sounded like a music box played softly, while a mobile went round in circles.

Next, it showed a flash of a baby in a crib waving his arms, giggling, and there were five figures around him.

(Quirin) "Look who just woke up!"

(Hector) "We'll see some good ones if he becomes like his father or his mother."

(Adira) "Shut up, Hector!"

(Selena) "*ah ah* Oh, you two!"

(Edmund) "Horace, come here." The man to the right of the crib picked up the baby, who kept giggling.

Eugene suddenly woke up, looked around and saw that everyone was still asleep. After a while, he went back to sleep, however he did not know that Adira had observed him.

The next morning, they all continued their journey with Adira standing forward and Eugene, who had not slept because of the strange dreams that came to him, followed by all the others. Everyone kept wondering why Eugene was so close to Adira, until Cassandra got tired of the situation.

"All right, that's enough, Fitzherbert! What's the matter with you?"

"What do you mean CassAndra?"

"I mean, ever since you let Adira help us through this forest, all you do is stick to her like a puppy!"

"I'm nobody's puppy, and then I told you that..."

"Yes, yes we know, you don't know how, but you trust her. Now stop!"

"The one who should stop here, is you CassAndra!"

"Don't push me, Fitzherbert!" Cassandra took Eugene by the gown collar.

"That goes for you too." Eugene grabbed her hand.

Everyone looked at them worried, and Rapunzel was about to intervene.

"Eugene! Cass! Stop."

However, Eugene and Cassandra did not listen and began fighting. They began to push against each other, until the rest of the group and Adira tried to divide them, but no attempt ended up in a different part of the forest.

It was an area with many strange but beautiful purple, orange, and blue flowers. Everyone was fascinated by it, except Adira, Eugene, and Rapunzel; there was a feeling of danger and when he came closer to see better one of these flowers, only to discover that those flowers were Drexis, dangerous extreme creatures. The spiders trapped everyone except Adira and Eugene, who promptly manage to save everyone else. As Eugene took down the Drexis, Adira continued to observe him and understood that there was no doubt: the way he took down the spider attacks and how he used the sword are the same training methods as the Brotherhood. "Horace, it's you." Adira gave a little sincere smile. Soon after they all came out of the forest, and before Adira disappeared, the group thanked her, and Adira told them that she would stay nearby to watch over them.
