There was a thunderstorm all day. The rain is falling heavily, the sky is dark, and the wind is howling loud. Inside the caravan, which is full of leaks, Rapunzel, his team, Hector, and Adira try to stay dry.
However, they began to annoy each other arguing until a tree fell and blocked the road. Everyone thought they were ruined, until they saw an inn. They all got out of the caravan and knocked on the door, to welcome them was Mr. Matthews who welcomes them with open arms without asking for money, shortly after he accompanied them to their rooms. Cassandra, Adira, and Hector became suspicious because the innkeeper didn't ask for money, but Rapunzel remained optimistic.
Shortly thereafter, during dinner, the group began to notice that Shorty was acting strangely polite; so Rapunzel took Eugene out of the room to try to figure out what was wrong, shortly after they heard footsteps and hid inside a wardrobe and saw Shorty who, by deception, pushed Lance into a mirror and a doppelganger of Lance came out. Rapunzel realized that Shorty was also a doppelganger and captured them. However, he suspected that she, Pascal, Eugene, Adira, Hector, and Cassandra are also doppelgangers, so they decided to test each other.
After Rapunzel, Pascal and Eugene were tested, it was Adira and Hector's turn.
"Okay Adira, tell me… what do you use to repair your boots?" asked Rapunzel.
"With the glue I make with fish skin." Adira replied.
"Good and… what is your sword made of?"
"It is made of a fragment of the Black Rocks."
"Good and now… last question: with what did you cross the forest of no return for the first time?"
"With a dagger, a handful of nuts and -grin- with bronchitis."
"Yes, it's her." Rapunzel stated and turned to Hector. "Hector, you're up."
"Princess, how can you prove that I am the real me, if you don't know something about me?" Hector asked raising an eyebrow.
Adira approached. "I'll do the test. So what names did you give your binturongs?"
"Fluffy and Milù." Hector replied.
"Okay, now I would like to know where have you lived for the past 19 years?"
"I lived at the Great Tree."
"Well, last question: thanks to what you managed to bond with Queen Selena?"
"Thanks to how she took care of the animals."
Rapunzel smiled. "Well, there's only one more person left." She turned to Cassandra.
Cassandra's challenge was to cut an apple into 10 slices with her sword, but instead she freed the fake Lance and Shorty by revealing herself as a doppelganger. Rapunzel, Adira, Hector, and Eugene rushed down the hall and hid in the closet; however, she made the mistake of calling Pascal a chameleon instead of a frog. The others realized that he wasn't Eugene, but a doppelganger. Shortly thereafter, the other imposters pushed Rapunzel, Adira, and Hector into the mirror. However, after a fight with their doppelgangers, the original three managed to stay out and pretended to be the doppelgangers and went looking for Pascal who had escaped from the fight.
The princess and the two knights found Pascal and explained their plan to capture the doppelgangers. Meanwhile, the real Eugene, Cassandra, Lance, and Shorty were battling the doppelgangers of Rapunzel, Adira, and Hector and eventually locked them inside the closet.
Rapunzel, Adira and Hector took off the mirror where doppelgangers come from, put it on the ground and attracted the doppelgangers. When the doppelgangers hovered over the mirror, the originals grabbed them, pulled them, and the 'real' Eugene, Lance, Cassandra, and Shorty were freed.
The party was determined to leave, but the storm was too strong, and they were forced to stay in the House of Yesterday's Tomorrow, totally unaware that the tree blocking the road had been cut down on purpose.
