A/N: Just so we are clear I haven't seen any reviews because I have posted this quite quickly after the first chapter considering it was short.
Something I want to point out is I'm not a zoologist so I don't know animal behaviour so these stories with Savage Nick are guesses but I do put in some research. Well what I am trying to say here is if I get something wrong please tell me, I would love to know about such things.
The feral vulpine steps towards the fallen injured bunny. Judy tries to crawl backwards with whatever strength she still possesses , until she bumped into the wall of the end of the alley next to the now dead carcass of the drug dealing sheep. "Slick ,you wouldn't hurt your partner now would you?" her voice emits shakily ,hoping , praying it would prevent her grizzly demise, but the fox kept walking.
Under her breath, she kept saying "This is a bad dream, it's fine." but this did nothing, she wasn't waking up from reality. The fox now stood right on top of her , at which point Judy accepted her fate considering her leg still hurt and wasn't working 100%. The fox lowers his head next to Judy's head. They stare into each other's eyes . Nick's emerald eyes filled with confusion and rage contrasting Judy's amethyst ones filled with fear and panic. The doe's nose twitches as Nick leans in. His jaw lowers slightly. "Please Nick , it's me , your friend and partner, Judy. It's me , Carrots."
Nick extends his tongue quickly after this and licks the doe's cheek ,after which he then rubs his cheek against hers. The red fur bristling against the grey ,showing that the fox was no threat to the panicked bunny. "Huh, that wasn't what I expected." Judy wraps her good hand around the fox's neck . "Nick , I know you can't hear me, but thank you for not eating me." Her adrenaline finally passed and she fell to the ground, unconscious. Nick dropped to the ground and poked the unconscious officer in front of him.
In the distance, police sirens were going off and were getting progressively louder , until the police cruiser stopped in front of the moderately sized alleyway. Two officers emerge from the vehicle, both bigger than Nick . The officers were Wolford and McHorn. "Hopps, Wilde, you guys good?"
Wolford called out cautiously ,hoping that the two are okay. The only response they receive is the growl from Nick as he lays using his body to surround Judy. As the two larger officers approach, they notice that Nick's eyes are slitted instead of circular.
"Think you can hold him Mchorn?"
"Err , I would prefer to not hold a savage mammal in my arms , considering he doesn't want to leave her side . You want to test your luck?"
"Nah, you're right just tranq him."
"You sure? I mean don't get me wrong , he is savage but he is still Nick."
"Really ,you see he is savage and ask if we should tranquillise him . Sorry Nick but you wont remember this, I think, I hope."
As Wolford stepped closer and pulled out his tranquilliser . Nick heard the footstep and the unbuckling , felt threatened and stood up on his paws. The tranquilliser was fired and hit his shoulder as he runs towards his two colleagues.
Mchorn draws his radio as he sees this and states " 10-43 Hopps and Wilde down and two dead civilians"
Clawhauser responds "Copy that doctor is being called."
As this was stated , News broadcasters have finally arrived and recorded the two unconscious officers and discussed the area behind them. And since not even the officers knew what happened a lot of misinformation was let out into the media.
In a bar on the outskirts of Tundratown
A fennec fox entered and sat in front of the bar. The bartender noticed him and asked straight to the point
"So what'll it be ? I assume that you ain't here to just sit when booze is here."
The fennec grunts in acknowledgement and then asks for some cheap beer to "cleanse his throat"
While grabbing a bottle from the fridge , the bartender's curiosity spikes and he bluntly states "Don't think Ah've seen ya around, so what's ya name?"
"Finnick, and to answer your other question , you haven't seen me before because I'm a desert fox so I live in Sahara Square . Today I just decided to stretch my legs."
"Interesting, well ta keep it fair , ma name's Theodore but friends call me Teddy and before ya mention it , yes I'm aware that it is a shame I'm not a bear and no I'm not a weasel ,I'm a stoat."
"-icers Wilde and Hopps were found unconscious within this alley and are being taken to the hospital now. In this alleyway there was also two dead bodies : one which seems to be shot by a firearm and the other seemingly mauled. Thi-"
"Of course they're already in trouble again."
"Hmm, care ta explain whatcha mean."
"They're both the officers from the whole 'Nighthowler' and 'Bellwether' fiasco."
"Huh , ya not wrong there."
Finnick notices the raccoon and realises that he recognises him. "Shit" Finnick turns towards the stout and gives him the money "Gotta go, maybe I'll be back." The stoat smiled when he noticed this and looked at the television to see the same image that provoked the fennec. His smile turned to a scowl.
When leaving , he goes to his van and takes a swig of his drink while thinking what to do.
First , I need to make sure that it really is them. If it is, there will be trouble for those two. He sighs with a slightly annoyed tone . They will need my help but how do I help, its not like I can just join them again after 25 years unless...
He pulls out his phone and dials a number. It rings 3 times then is answered.
"Big, I need a favour something's going down soon and I think I know how to stop it but we will need those two. You have forgiven Nick ,right?"
"Yes, my child, I have. I can work with them but you are aware of the risks for them."
"Yeah, that's why I'm calling a favour and not them, also did you see what happened to them?"
"Yes , it seemed that sheep got what was coming after that plot along side that 'mayor'. Do you think they will be enough."
"Well , honestly no , but if I help them , then maybe we stand a chance but that will be a massive risk to all involved parties especially me."
"Then why should I help you?"
"If you don't , there will be hell to pay and we will all be affected. This isn't some small time criminal group we are dealing with . Have you heard of the 'Law of Nature'?"
"..."Silence ensues for the next 10 seconds. "My child, you don't think that it's them do you?"
"That's the issue , I'm not 100% certain but that raccoon looked extremely familiar."
"When do you want to meet?"
"Tomorrow 22:00"
"Agreed, we shall meet and discuss our next course of actions from there"
"Bye."
"Bye"
Finnick puts his phone down as the call ends . He plainly looks at the time '16:43'. "They will owe me big time for this" is all Finnick says ,knowing that there is no turning back now. He lifts his seat to find a 10-pronged star with a skull in the middle , all silver with no special etches on it. Next to it is a dusty and suppressed macowrov. He raises his bottle and says "To hoping I don't have to use these!" before taking another big swig. It was a hopeless wish and he knew it. He just didn't want to reconstruct what laid beneath them.
"I'll head to the hospital now, hopefully they're now okay coz if not well there will be more problems than solutions."
Savannah Central ,Main Hospital , 2 hours later.
A kind-looking receptionist sits in the main lobby to whom Finnick approaches. Before talking he clears his throat and tries to put on the most childish voice he can.
"Ma'am , is my daddy in here?"Finnick squeaks whilst hating himself on the inside 'What do I put myself through for you two , I swear . Not only am I about to risk my life but I am also humiliating myself before I might be killed ,they owe me double whatever they owed me before this, and I won't let them off.'
"Aww, hello little one, who is your daddy?"
Responding in that painful squeaky voice "He's a police man but I saw him sleeping on the news so I came here"
"Oh,is that so well , I'll call a nurse over to take you to him you little cutie-patutie. Just know officer Wilde is a good mammal."
"I know my dad is the best! No criminal can hide from him."
The receptionist chuckles while sending an e-mail. "Why don't you sit on that chair and wait , someone will shortly come, okay?"
"Yes ma'am." 'Well that was extremely degrading , this better be worth it'
The receptionist looks up and realises that there is no carer with the so called child. "Honey , who is taking care of you?" After this question , Finnick pretends to start sobbing quietly and in a shaky yet squeaky voice retorts "My dad is on his own, my mum died a few years ago and he struggled to take care of me ,especially after he was fired from his job recently."
"Oh, I'm sorry ,I didn't know."
"It's fine , daddy said most don't care about foxes and the ones that do are either extremely smart or foxes as well , which daddy says means I'm super smart. Like a scientist or doctor."
"Your dad is right you are super smart but only if you focus in school."
"Daddy says the same thing."
A third person walks in , a nurse with a white hat and uniform. She looks at the receptionist and asks "Officer Nicholas Wilde?"
"Yes."
She turns to Finnick also believing him to be a child "Are you the one visiting Officer Wilde?"
"Yep"
"Okay follow me but I want to explain that your dad is a bit dangerous right now."
This completely shocks Finnick where he almost blows his cover by his response and quiet cursing then quickly reverts to his childish voice "What do you mean?"
"Well your daddy is not feeling like himself after something happened."
"Is it the same as last year , where animals were being violent."
"Kind of , sort of ,but not fully or worse depends how you look at it."
"If that's the case , can I talk to his partner then?"
"Mmm , after we see your dad , she is next to him."
They see Nick and Finnick places his paw on the glass separating him from the now savage beast kept inside.
"Oh Officer Hopps is in the same room as Officer Wilde, I will check why but first" she walks up to the door and gently knocks. "Hello, Miss Hopps, are you awake?"
Judy lifts her head gently and whispers loudly enough for the nurse to hear but to not disturb Nick "Yes , is someone visiting."
"Yes ,wasn't for you originally but considering his dad is currently resting next to you in his" the nurse looks at the shorter fox and then hesitates. "ahem ,state"
Judy realises , who came to visit. You sly fox , how did you get here. "Ahh yeah, I know who you're talking about , I can talk to him."
As she finishes saying that she stands up and quietly creeps towards the door.
*CREAK*
"Oh sweet cheese and crackers, of course it creaks"
Nick uncurls and gets up after hearing the bunny take a step . He struts towards the bunny now fully awake
The nurse now walks away. Finnick looks through the door and quickly asks "So what happened to him?"
"Honestly I don't know , he was hit by a nighthowler pellet and was well actually quite sweet, when he wasn't eating a raccoon."
"WHAT, he caused that?"
"Yeah , it was disturbing but I don't blame him."
"Mmm, neither do I, but you do know what this means ,right?"
"No ,what ?"
"He likes you a lot. Any ways ,I'm not here to give relationship advice so I will quickly say my piece before my voice kills itself. You know that raccoon, I believe he is part of a criminal organisation known as 'Law of Nature' , they used to want to control the world like some shadow organisation but most governments were honest enough to prevent this from happening the others were power-hungry enough to attack them and claim their stakes. I don't know what they want now but I can join them and tell you ."
"What like a confidential informant?"
"Sure, but you two will owe me, got it?"
"Well if you are telling the truth , I can offer I can offer pseudo legal immunity but only as long as information is provided carefully enough, if you are caught by the police we can bail you out but people will know about it."
"I know, that's not what worries me. They will kill me brutally if they find out so it is a risky gamble that will pay off if executed well enough."
"One more question : Why?"
"Because , if they accomplish their goal lets say even hell will be a better alternative to here. And a group of officers , a large group cannot be discreet. You two can."
"Understo- wait you two?"
"You may be a good fighter but that fox is savage and willing to protect you against individuals that are trained to fight against at least two of you at once. The raccoon was overconfident and not fighting as well as he could."
Footsteps are heard in the background,the nurse has returned."Hello, sorry it took so long , oh I see he woke up. I assume he didn't cause any trouble to you."
Judy replies "Nonsense, like this he is as sweet as they come."
The nurse mutters "I wish that were true but I know he will maul me if I step inside that room."
She turns to Finnick and states casually "Any ways it's time to go, say bye to Officer Hopps."
"I'm not that young *sigh* bye Judy."
"Ain't he the sweetest."
"It's always nice to see children . They're always so innocent."
"I agree. Goodnight!"The nurse walks away with Finnick in tow. ' Finn , I really owe ya big time for that' Judy thought.
A/N: So Finnick , err , honestly I do believe he would act like this to help Nick and by extension Judy and it shows that he is willing to swallow his pride to help his friend. Or he just drew the short straw in life and it was his turn to act.(sorry not sorry) next part will most likely be next week but ill post it whenever I can.
And with that the introduction is done but more adventures and mishaps are yet to come so for now I wish every single one of you reading this a good week and until next time. c'ya
