EL Tigre the new adventures Season 2 Episode 17 – The tiger and the dragon part 3
"You're the devil child…" Noriko whispered. Her eyes widened looking straight at Marcus.
Marcus eyes twitched in surprise. He narrows his eyes at Noriko and gets out of his sword stance, and his red akuma no me glaring right at Noriko. He grips his sword and rubs the back of his head and then looks up at the sky.
"It's been so long since I heard that name…" Marcus whispered "I never thought I would meet someone who knows about me."
Noriko's deep breaths of shock and nervousness turned into slight faints of laughter. A wide grin formed across her face and she started laughing more.
"I can't believe it…I'm up against the great devil child…the one whose skills couldn't be matched. The one who hell would be afraid to take…putting fear into Satan himself…a merciless assassin who'd show no mercy to anyone…not even there's closest friend…that is you!"
Marcus closed his eyes. The words Noriko spoke filled Marcus head with memories' of the past. Blood splattering on the walls, the screams of men as there chest were cut open.
Marcus hands shook and veins appeared around his right hand that was holding his katana.
"Marcus Dupree…the Devil child…active from age 8 to 13….you were pretty young when you started out, I can't believe you quit. Why did you?" Noriko asked tilting her head with smirk across her face.
"Why?" Marcus said with his head lowered, looking at the ground. "That's a really stupid question to ask…I was sick of it…I had no reason to continue…why the hell go on with pointless bloodshed…killing nonstop for what? Absolutely nothing…"
The pink pearl necklace appeared in Marcus mind and then Emily's face along with her warm smile appeared right after. Marcus looked at his Katana; flashes of the past kept coming at him On and off he, and he could see his sword covered in blood and then it wasn't. It just kept going on.
Noriko shook her head "I'll never understand some people." She said shrugging "it's good you haven't lost your touch. Now I understand that that's why you're such a good swordsmen…"
"Just shut up…" Marcus said holding his head "I'm not the devil child anymore…that's behind me…" he said in shaken voice.
"Oh?" Noriko said rubbing her chin "Then why do you dare hold a sword again?"
Marcus eyes widen and he quickly looks at Noriko. His Akuma no me went off and his normal black eyes were shown.
"You…and that sword was the cause of many people's deaths, and now here you are holding it again. Has the smell of blood called you back to it?"
Marcus didn't know what to say. But he knew that she was right. Why did he want to use his sword again? What was the reason to holding the weapon that killed and took the lives of people? Why?
Marcus looked back up. Large rocks in the shape of sharp knives flew at him. He was struck him in the shoulder, and one flew by cutting his cheek knocking him to the ground.
"Pathetic…" Noriko said grimly. She hops high in the air. Marcus looked up seeing her flying over him and she beams down at him. Marcus rolls out the way, she crashes down to the ground making rocks shoot out of the ground.
Marcus hops left, right and rolls avoiding the rocks that were shooting up. Dust was hovering around the creator were Noriko was.
Noriko dashes out creator, she swings her sword at him Marcus, who was dazed, and unfocused. Blocks and tries to keep up with Noriko's speed.
"What's the matter? Where have your skills gone Devil child?!" Noriko said through her shrieks of laughter.
"D-Damn it!" Marcus said blocking as she stumbles, tripping over a rock.
"DIE!" Noriko screamed.
Marcus fell back, seeing Noriko's blade coming down near Marcus. Marcus entire life flashed before his eyes. His parents, his original young life, his friends, his life as the devil child…and Emily all appeared before him.
Then…the sound of cold steal going through flesh…was made.
Manny and Alistair's location
Manny stood there. His body flowing with green aura and his eyes were green as well, fierce and deadly. He takes the position of tiger's hunting stance, he growled and glares at Alistair foaming at the mouth.
"Damn…this energy is making me go crazy…." Manny said in his head "It feels like I can hardly control my thoughts…this is how I must have been like in Mob town…"
Alistair looks at Manny while holding his stomach. He puts his hand around his mouth as he coughs "so…this is what the power of EL tigre belt looks like…well shit…look what I got myself into by underestimating this kid."
Purple static appears around Manny. He groans in pain as the static shocks his body violently.
"Can't waste any time…" Manny said as he clenches his teeth. The second Manny moved a muscle he was gone. Alistair looked at the spot where Manny Originally was.
"Wha-"
WHAM!
Manny punched Alistiar on his left cheek, sending him flying through the woods. Manny dashed at him with incredible speed to the point that he caught up with Alistair as he was flying through the woods.
He jet's passed him and stands in his way. Manny arches his leg back and kicks Alistair, sending his sky rocketing into the air.
Manny hopes higher in the air as he was face to face with Alistair. Manny extends his claws but his claws grew longer and the green aura that was surrounding Manny's body flowed around his razor sharp claws.
"Rivera…Tiger…" Manny said holding back his arms.
Alistairs eyes widened, blood dripping from his mouth.
"Raging Tempest Slash!" Manny screamed as he slashes at Alistair. The green streaks that looked like the glow of someone swinging there sword in the moonlight was seen. Cuts appeared all over Alistair's body and blood erupts from his deep wounds.
Alistair's eyes looked at the white clouds as he fell to the ground, drops of blood following along.
"I…I can't die here…" Alistair said in his head. "I won't….I won't!"
Alistair hit the ground with a thud.
Manny slowly fell and landed on his feet safely. He looks over at Alistair, seeing the blood leak from his body and fills the water that was covered around the area.
"Is he?" Manny whispered.
Alistair slowly raised his quivering hand. Manny narrows his eyes "What is up with this guy…all that should have knocked him out…"
"You know…you really did a number on me…" Alistair whispered and he coughed up blood "I underestimated you…but it's going to take more than that to stop me."
Manny looks down at the blood that was around his feet, he raises an eye brow seeing the blood going back to Alistair.
"What?" Manny said confused
Alistair's blood was going right back into his body. And the water around the area was going around Alistair's wounds. His wounds were quickly closing. Manny could hear Alistair's slowly chuckles.
"That feels better…" Alistair said as he gets to his feet popping his neck and stretching.
"What the heck? I freaking cut your entire body! How did you?" Manny said dumbfounded and shocked
"They say water has a lot of good healing purposes…I take advantage of that. I can heal my wounds by just using water. And if I'm losing blood I can just bring it back…blood is just the same as water, it's 70% of your body."
"Damn it…you got to be kidding me!" Manny said through his teeth. Purple static surges around Manny's body. Manny screams and grips his stomach. The static was showing no mercy. Manny screamed at the top of his lungs and falls to the ground.
"Just…a little more time…I got to…"
"Sorry kid…but that's as long as I can go…you're on your own." The ancient tiger spirit said. "Good luck."
The aura around Manny's body disappeared, his fierce eyes turned back to his normal green EL tigre eyes.
"hm?" Alistair walked over to Manny and picked him up by his head. He lifted Manny's shirt seeing the seal around his stomach.
"Ahhh! I see now…so that's why you lost your power. Someone sealed whatever the hell you had away." Alistair said as he started laughing.
"Go to hell…" Manny said looking up at Alistair with one eye opened.
Manny felt something sharp go through his stomach…it was cold. Alistair had freezed his water and made into a sharp weapon, piercing it through Manny. Manny eyes widened as blood drips from his mouth.
"Goodnight kid…you were a really good opponent." Alistair said letting go of Manny's head letting him fall to the ground.
Alistair rubbed the back of his head taking one last look at Manny "Rest in peace…great EL Tigre."
…..
"So….what will you be doing now?"
"Hm?"
"Everything's over…everyone's disappeared and gone into hiding, probably for good. and you don't have to do anything with us anymore."
"Yeah…that's true."
"Don't you want to stay with us? You can if you want to."
"No…that's alright. I'll be alright on my own. To be honest the only reason I did join was because I had nothing to do with my life anymore. I was lifeless…I didn't want to live anymore…I just wanted to fade away into nothing. But…now I realize…I do have something to live for…she gave her life for me…so I could live...now…l'm going to atone for everything I've done…my sword…will be now used to protect the people I love and care for…even if it cost me my life…"
"That's right…that's why …I chose to use my sword again…a sword that protects the people I care about…I won't let anyone…I won't let anyone die!"
Noriko struggles with her sword. Her sword pierced through Marcus left hand. Her sword had pierced through the bone in Marcus hand.
Marcus looked up at Noriko. His Akuma no me fully reactivated.
"What?!" Noriko said
"Art of Fire! BLAZE OF GLORY!" a burst of fire came from Marcus mouth. Noriko quickly hopped back nearly getting burned around her face.
Marcus gets to his feet and yanks out Noriko's sword and tosses it to her.
Noriko looks up at Marcus, his left hand dripping with blood. She slowly moves toward her sword and picks it up, gripping it tightly. Marcus looks at his wounded hand, the blood slowly leaving.
"You wanted to know why I use a sword again." Marcus said. His eyes focused on his left hand. "After all the blood I spilled as an assassin."
Noriko narrows his eyes at Marcus.
"I vowed to atone for my sins…and protect the people around me that I care for…using this sword." Marcus looks up at Noriko. "Even if I have to die protecting them,"
Noriko stares at Marcus "I see," Noriko points her katana "Well it's time we end this quarrel…for good." She said coldly.
Marcus takes a deep breath gripping his katana in his right hand. Marcus body started to feel light as a feather. Marcus raises his left and lay's it on his Katana's steel. He glides his hand across the blade leaving blood as it went. His Akuma no me eye's started leave off an aluminous glow.
Noriko smirks "I got an idea. How about we just fight with our pure sword skills? No Arts." She said tapping her sword on her shoulder.
Marcus gives off a small smile "Fine by me." He said
Noriko puts both hands around the handle of her sword. She gets in kendo practice stance and closes her eyes. She started to feel warm. The wind blows as her hair sway's in the wind.
Then, Cherry blossom petals started swaying around the spot where Marcus Noriko stood. Marcus looks at one of the Cherry blossom petals float near the corner of his eye.
"Cherry blossoms?" Marcus said confused.
The second it fell on Marcus cheek, he felt a sharp sting across his cheek.
"Cherry Blossom Style – Dance of Cherry blossom petals!" Noriko said snapping her eyes open.
Thousands of Cherry blossom petals swarmed around Marcus. His entire body was getting cut all over. He groans in pain, the cuts were extremely deep and blood flowed out of his wounds. He holds his arms around his face avoiding from trying to get cut around his eyes and face.
The cherry blossom petals disappeared. Marcus stood there covered in cuts.
"I love Cherry blossoms." Noriko whispered. "Every spring I would go see the most beautiful cherry blossom tree…I loved it so much."
Marcus let out a small chuckle. Noriko glares at Marcus "Something funny?" she said.
"Cherry blossoms are beautiful yes…but I'm more of a sunflower guy." Marcus said lowering his arm's from his face showing a smirk.
Noriko chuckles "How adorable." She said as she dashed at him. Marcus grips his sword and they both collide with their katana's. The sound of their steals banging together echoed across the area.
They violently and rapidly swung there Katana's at each other with immense speed. Every time they swung they blocked each other's attack.
Marcus separated from Noriko and puts the back of the blunt of his sword against his side.
"Blood Rose Style – Crossing the red Seas!" Marcus screamed as blitz past Noriko leaving behind a red blurr.
Noriko blocked his attack holding up her sword as he blitzed by.
"What was that? Was that suppose to-" Noriko stopped talking. She felt a sharp pain across her chest.
A large cut mark appeared and blood gushed out violently. She screamed and fell to her knees.
"Crossing the red seas was a difficult ability for me to master at my age at the time. It's an attack you can't block." Marcus said turning around the face Noriko.
"Impressive…so this is the power of the devil child…" Noriko said as her legs were shaking and body was getting cold, she was losing blood fast.
"Looks like you're reaching your limit Noriko." Marcus said coldly "you want to give up?"
Noriko giggled and she gets to her feet "When swordsmen crosses blades with another one must see the battle till the end, or till one dies." She said turning around to face Marcus "I will not submit…I will not be the one to die…I will be victorious."
Marcus looked into Noriko's eyes. He suddenly remembered someone who had the same look as her.
"Is that right…I see." Marcus said chuckling "I guess I have to see this battle till the end." He smiled
"I have to admit…I enjoyed this fight very much. You are an excellent swordsmen…Marcus Dupree." Noriko said getting in her own sword stance.
"Same to you Noriko," Marcus said getting into his sword stance.
…
Alistair turned away from Manny and started to walk off. Manny clinches the ground with his hands. He coughs blood and he struggles to get to his feet.
"W-where do you think you're going?" Manny said as he gets to one knee.
Alistair turned to Manny. Manny held his wound and glared at Alistair. Alistair shook his head.
"You are such an arrogant one." Alistair said death glaring at Manny. "Just lay down and die, I'm trying to be nice with your death…but now you're really starting to piss me off!"
Manny was pale and his vision was getting blurry. He panted heavily holding his stab wound.
"Damn it…I'm not going to survive this…" Manny said in his head "I'm seriously going to die here…"
Alistair pointed his finger at Manny as if he was holding a gun "Fine…I'll just shoot you in the heart and let you die peacefully…make sure to not try to fight death…it'll be worse for you."
Manny looked at Alistair. Water was circling around the tip of his finger charging.
"I've…been in so many situations like this…but I never really thought about…"
Alistair gave an evil smirk "Ready?" he said showing his teeth grinning.
Manny closed his eyes, trying his best to stay awake. "I…I can't…die here…"
"Water pistol," Alistair whispered firing a bullet like water drop that was heading straight for Manny.
Manny batted his eyes open. He hopped to the right dodging Alistair's attack that pierced through the trees. Alistair keeps shooting at Manny, Manny ducks and runs doing the best he can to avoid Alistair's attack.
"Run kitty RUN!" Alistair shouted as he keeps shooting at Manny. Manny falls to the ground, Alistair points his finger at Manny. Manny quickly launches his grappling hook at Alistair slugging him in the face.
Manny hopped to his feet, he fights threw his pain and shakes off the dizziness. He glares at Alistair with pure hatred. Alistair rubs his nose and glares at Manny.
"You little shit!" Alistair shouted
Manny clenches his teeth and charges at him. Veins appeared around Alistair's hands at the top of his lungs he screams.
"ART OF WATER! HYDRA ASSAULT!" out of the water came two large hydra heads came from out the water and lunges at Manny. Manny charges right in. The hydra heads dash at him. Manny hopes over the left head and the right head trys to catch while he was in the air but Manny quickly flops over to the right landing back on the ground and he dashes at Alistair.
"Damn it!" Alistair said irritated as Manny extends his claws and slashed at Alistair's face leaving scars around his eyes.
Alistair shouts in pain holding his face with both his eyes. Manny takes advantage and goes for another hit but Alistair ducks, gets on one hand and kicks Manny in the jaw sending him into the air.
Manny backs flips while he is in the air and arches his arm back.
"Rivera Tiger Pistol!" Manny said launching his grappling hook at full speed at Alistair.
Alistair sunk into the water that was around the ground. Manny's Rivera Tiger pistol smashed through the around. Manny lands on the ground and retracts his grappling hook.
His eyes moved around the ground, waiting, watching and listening to see where Alistair might be.
"Got a second wind huh Rivera?" Alistair said as his voiced echoed around Manny. Manny quickly turned around, eye's batting everywhere.
He heard a splash, Manny turned around seeing Alistair sending ice spear at Manny. Manny extends his claws and cuts away at the ice spears.
Alistair raised his hands in the air and all the water around the area went to started to rise so high that it blocked the sun.
"Oh my god…" Manny whispered.
"ART OF WATER! GAINT TSUNAMI!" Alistair screamed. The wave of water dashed down at Manny. Manny stood there with his eyes widened and jaw dropped.
"Oh man…"
The giant wave smashed down to the ground, water pressure pushing down tress and ripping them out the ground.
Alistair pants and coughs, he falls on one knee. He rubs his head and grits his teeth.
"Damn…I never had to use that much ki before…" Alistair whispered. "Where did this will come from? I was punking him before…then all of a sudden." He coughs again. The cough was pretty nasty. He looked at his hand seeing blood.
"Damn it…I've been fighting to long…"
Alistair hears the sounds of footsteps splashing through water. The second he looked up he was kicked across the face. The sound of his nose snapping was made as he fell back.
Manny stood over him. His mask was gone and his face was visible.
Alistair stared at him at him. Manny's sharp teeth as shown and his claws were extended.
Alistair smirked "Someone's mad." He mocked.
Manny grabbed him by his neck and held his claws out. Manny glared right into Alistair's cold eyes.
"Well…what are you waiting for? End it…" Alistair said, his nose running with blood.
Manny hesitated for a bit. His claws go down and he clenches his fist. Manny screams and punches Alistair in the face so hard that it knocked him out, his head hitting the wet ground.
Manny pants and his voice shivers. He gets to his feet and stumbles back falling down flat on his back.
Manny stared at the blue sky as white clouds slowly pass by.
"heh…that…was…a close fight…I really thought I was going to die…" Manny whispered. His eyes slowly start to close. "I'm…so tired…" he whispered…as his consciousness drifts off.
….
The water from Alistair's attack spread across the rest of hidden area. Noriko looks down at the water and sighs.
"You and that friend of yours really screwed things up." Noriko said looking at Marcus with her black eyes.
"Yeah…we're the good guy's after all…we are supposed to mess up the bad guy's plans." Marcus said shrugging.
Noriko's arm was shaking and her legs were wobbling.
"What's wrong? Getting scared?"
Noriko smirks "of course not…I could say the same for you. How's your vision? Not to blurry is it?" she asked
Marcus was on the verge of falling out. He had lost much blood over the course of hours that passed by.
Noriko holds her sword gripping it tightly with both hands.
"Shall we? This one shall decide to victor." Noriko said
"Yeah…let's get this over with." Marcus said getting into his own stance.
Noriko charges at him, and Marcus did the same. Marcus holds his sword against his waist and grips the handle tightly. He slides his left foot back and stomps his right foot forward.
Noriko was about to swing her sword to cut Marcus neck. The whole situation was going slow in Marcus eyes. And then he whips out his sword with amazing speed. The light from Marcus sword flashed as it went up Noriko's chest.
Noriko froze. She stood there as she dropped her sword on the ground. Blood dripped out of her mouth as she fell to her knees.
"Battojutsu…" Noriko whispered.
Bottojustus. Press the swords edge against the inside of the sheath then draw the sword quickly to increase the speed of the swords swing by two of three times normal. This attack will strike the opponent before there is time for him/her to react.
"I never knew you'd know such an attack…" Noriko said she falls flat on her side.
"Well…there are a lot of things I know…" Marcus said looking down at her.
"Well…what are you waiting for? Finish me…" Noriko whispered. "Just kill me…"
Marcus stared at Noriko and shook his head. He sat down on the ground and crossed his legs. "I'm done with that stuff. What reason is there too anyway…such a pretty girl like you…"
Noriko chuckled and smiled "you…are such…a strange one…Marcus Dupree." She said.
"You know something…I never asked you what the hell you two were actually doing." Marcus said looking at her.
"We…were collecting spiritual power from people who died working. We used the spiritual power they had a made that…" Noriko said looking over at the glowing purple aura.
"There all in there…"
Marcus turns his head to the large purple glowing object in the distance. He slowly gets to his feet. He walks over to the large purple glowing object and places his hand on it and closes his eyes.
He could hear the screams and cries of the souls that were locked inside.
"Don't worry…I got you…" Marcus said tiredly. He concentrates the remaining ki that he had in his body. The red aura flowed around his body then covers the purple object. Cracks formed around the object and started to rumble. And then BOOM!
Small purple lights flowed out of the purple object and swarmed across the area and headed into the sky and disappearing.
"Sorry…we didn't make it in time to save you all…we're…sorry." Marcus fell over. He looks at the sky giving one last look at the souls who were entering the afterlife.
And then he passes out.
…
"Give them all the medicine they need! Give them all the food and water!"
"Huh?" Marcus heard echoing voices of soldiers and some women. He slowly opens his eyes and he sees, a woman with blond hair with a claymore sword over her back.
"W-Wha…" Marcus rubbed his eyes and tries to lay up but the pain from his wounds stop him. "Argh!"
She turns around and looks down at Marcus. "Don't try and move Mr. Dupree. You and Rivera did enough, let us take over." She said
"Rebecca?" Marcus said surprised.
"Its good thing we came just in time. You and Rivera were at near death," Rebecca said, her blue eyes meeting Marcus.
Rebecca Lockhart. She is the World's greatest female swordsmen and is a second command of the world government.
"Where the hell did you come from? How did you get here?" Marcus said confused.
"Well we didn't even know of your location if it wasn't for a new member of ours." Rebecca explained.
"What new member?" Marcus said as he got the strength to his feet "Found another slave to the world government huh? Where is he?"
"He's not here. He only gave us directions." Rebecca said turning to him
Marcus looked to his left seeing Manny who was still asleep.
"He'll be fine. He must have really pushed himself to the limit." Rebecca said looking at Manny "Of course the Rivera family is no pushovers."
"How long where we out?" Marcus asked.
"For a few hours, the people who were here told us everything that happened." Rebecca said.
"I see…" Marcus said rubbing the back of his head. He looks around the village seeing people eating and drinking. Some were crying out of happiness. He sees Alistair who was still unconscious and being tended too. And then he sees Noriko who was fully awake, sitting on the back of an army truck with handcuffs around her wrist.
"Be right back." Marcus said as he walked over to Noriko. Noriko heard Marcus footsteps and she raises her head. Her tired eyes that bags under him met his.
"Sup." Marcus said
"Come here to gloat?" Noriko asked.
"Nah," Marcus said shaking his head.
"Why didn't you just kill me? Why?" Noriko asked in shivering voice.
"Why do you want to die so badly?"
"BECAUSE I HAVE NOTHING TO LIVE FOR!" She screamed.
Rebecca and all the soldiers turned too looked at Noriko and had their guns pointed at her. Rebecca held up her hands to stop them and the soldiers lowered their guns.
"Nothing…"
Marcus sighed and sat next to her.
"You're wrong you know…" Marcus whispered
"What?"
"You shouldn't easily throw away your life…you say you have nothing to live for anymore…that's bullshit…"
"And how the hell would you know that?" Noriko said glaring at him.
"Because I was the same way…" Marcus responded looking at Noriko.
Noriko looked at Marcus shocked "What are you talking about?"
"I was lost in darkness, after seeing my parents corpses I went into this conscious of…well it's basically depression. And I didn't know what to do with my life after that…I didn't want to go to an orphanage…I didn't want fake parents. I just wanted a purpose." Marcus looked up at the sky. "And after awhile…I did…to be honest thanks to you I was reminded of a lot of things."
Noriko just stared at Marcus. She didn't understand why he was telling her all of this.
"Why…why are you telling me all of this?" Noriko asked.
"Well…because if someone like I was to find a purpose then so can you." Marcus said smiling at Noriko.
Noriko looked at Marcus. She sighed and chuckled while shaking her head.
"You know…a hero who is comforting a villain like me is very bad image for you." Noriko said with a smile.
"I'm not a hero of Miracle city. I just do what I want." Marcus said as he was smiling as well.
"You are strange…Marcus Dupree…" Noriko whispered.
"I get that a lot sometime." Marcus said chuckling
"ALRIGHT TIME TO MOVE OUT!" One of the soldiers called out. All of the villagers who were kidnapped were loaded on to the van.
"Let's hopefully meet again someday…Dupree." Noriko said as she fully gets into the bed.
"Same." Marcus said nodding.
The soldiers closed the doors. Noriko stared at Marcus through the window and lays her head on the door closing her eyes. And they drove off.
"Do you like her or something?" Manny asked.
Marcus yelled and turned around "When the hell did you wake up?" he asked.
"About 1 minutes ago." Manny responded. "What's up with you talking to her anyway?"
"It's just something I needed to tell her…" Marcus said crossing his arms. "Anyway let's go home Manny…"
The two of them hopped on the back of a truck and laid back. The truck started and then they off. The evening sky and stars was passing by.
"This one was pretty crazy huh?" Manny said breaking the silence between them.
"Yeah…I got to say I forgot the feeling a fighting another sword user." Marcus said softly.
"I really I thought I was going to die…" Manny whispered "I mean…I never really think that I would die when I fight…but."
"Heh…cocky bastard," Marcus laughed
"Yeah heh…I guess I am…" Manny said smiling.
"I never thought I'd be thinking about the past this much…but in the end it was pretty much a good thing that I did remember." Marcus explained.
Manny turned his head and looked at Marcus.
"It made me realize a lot of other stuff too…that's mostly why I had to thank Noriko…"
"What did it make you realize?" Manny asked.
"It made me realize that no matter how much things get worse I want to protect you all and help you as much as I can." Marcus said as he gets his sword and looks at it.
