Anyway, here is chapter 63 of season 2 episode 40 of EL Tigre The New Adventures! Enjoy!
EL Tigre The new Adventures Season 2 Episode 40 – Valentina
Not a word was said; only a few occasional words were spoken like, "My god," or "One, two, lift," as medics gathered the lifeless bodies of sword cops and civilians that were slaughtered by Goro and Micholash. Jason sat in the ambulance truck with blank expression on his face. Emotions of shock, terror and rage went through him. He knew that the job was going to have losses, he knew how dangerous it was going to be, but in the end, he couldn't believe that Goro and Micholash had gotten away with the death of his soldiers. He looked over at Lucas. Who was leaning against the wall, face white as a sheet.
"….w…what…what did i..." Lucas mumbled. The words that Micholash spoke to Lucas echoed in his head repeatedly
"Coward…disappointment…"
"Am…I really…deep down…just a coward?" Lucas said to himself. His voice shaky and he felt as though he was losing his breath.
"Lucas…" Jason whispered, staring over at him. "Hey, let me go talk to my friend. I won't be long."
The medic nods, gives one more short examination and let's Jason go. Jason walked over to Lucas. Lucas didn't notice Jason at all. He had blocked out everything around him, like voices of people and other noises around him.
"Lucas." Said Jason trying to get his attention
Lucas didn't respond.
Jason placed his hand on Lucas's shoulder and shook him a bit.
"Hey! Lucas!"
Lucas looked up, and stared at Jason
"You ok?" Jason asked
"I…really screwed up didn't I?" Lucas lamented
"Lucas, it's not your fault. You can't let this hold you down like that."
Lucas went quiet
Jason let out a sigh. He knew there wasn't anything else to tell him, or anything to say to cheer him up. Jason reached into his pocket and pulled out a box of cigarettes. He takes out one, places in his mouth and lights it.
"Lucas…" Jason said taking a puff of cigarette and exhales. "I don't blame you for what happened to Squad A. Micholash is a very dangerous man…and we were no match for that other man either."
Lucas looked at Jason. Jason picked up one of the soldiers swords and examined it. Lucas took out the family ring from his pocket and stared at it. One Lucas looked at the ring; he felt this strong feeling of shame, as if the ring itself was glaring at him with resentment. He quickly stuffs the ring back into his pocket and began to walk away.
Jason didn't bother to stop Lucas. He said all he could to him, but it didn't work. Jason would leave the rest up his wife and daughter. Maybe they would be able to cheer him up.
…
Lucas made sure not to make a single sound when he unlocked the door to his home when he stepped in. To his surprise, sleeping on the couch was his wife Valentina. She slept peacefully on the couch with a blanket over herself, waiting for her husband to return home.
"Valentina…" Lucas whispered silently, quietly enough not to wake her.
Lucas gently closes the front door, and silently walked upstairs to their bedroom. Before he went in, he peaked into Ronnie's room to check on her. Ronnie was sleeping peacefully with a smile on her face.
Lucas then walks into his bedroom and turns on the lamp light. He places the ring on the nightstand next to lamp and he sits on the edge of the bed. He looks over at the family ring, and once he looked at the ring, he felt nothing but shame. It felt to him as though the ring was judging him. It felt as though ring was shunning him, disowning him. Lucas buried his face into his hands. The words "Coward" and "Disappointment" rang into his head once again.
Lucas began to grown and let out muffled silent screams. He couldn't fight the realization anymore. Micholash's ability did more than just paralyze Lucas with fear, it made him awoken a fear hidden deep within the back of Lucas's mind.
"…was I…was I not cut out to be a hero?" Lucas said to himself. "What was I doing this whole time?"
…
The morning sun shined through the living room. The sun light shined on Ronnie's face. Ronnie opens her eyes and blinks a couple of times. She lets out a yawn and stretches and looks at the time that read 7am. She looks towards her bedroom door, seeing her father Lucas walk by with a rolling traveling bag.
"Huh?" Ronnie said, quickly hopping out of the bed and leaves her room. She looks down the hallway seeing her father pick up the traveling bag and walks down the stairs.
Lucas looked over at Valentina who was still sleeping on couch. He made sure not to make loud noises as he walks toward the front door carrying his traveling brief case full of his belongings. He reached over and grasped his hand around the door knob. But before he could open the door he heard the sound of footsteps of someone walking toward him. He turned around seeing Ronnie, staring up at him with her bright green eyes.
"Ronnie…" Lucas said with his voice trembling. He didn't want to confront her; he didn't want to confront either Valentina or Ronnie. "D-daddy, where are you going?" Ronnie asked curiously.
He looked down at her, teeth clenched and his hands trembling violently.
"I…" He said softly but with much fear and shame in his voice "Ronnie…"
Ronnie just stared at her father
"I'm sorry…but…I…I have to go…"
"Go where? Are you coming back?"
Lucas flinched and hung his head low. He couldn't look her daughter in the eye anymore.
"Lucas?"
Lucas's eyes widened. Valentina had woken up. She looked up, seeing Lucas wearing his long traveling coat and traveling bag packed. Valentina rubs her eyes and gets up from the couch.
"Where are you headed off to? Did something come up?" Valentina asked curiously.
Lucas was about to come up with a lie. He was going to tell her that something did come up and he would have to leave California and go off in search of Micholash. But he couldn't do it…he couldn't lie to women he love and the daughter he cherishes. He just couldn't do it.
"Valentina…i…"
Valentina walks up to Lucas and places her hand on his cheek. Lucas looks directly into her brown eyes. Valentina stood there, waiting for Lucas to answer her.
"I…I'm leaving…" Lucas said, forcing those words that hurt him the most to leave his mouth.
"Where are you leaving off to? Lucas what's going on?" Valentina asked as she is starting to get frightened.
Lucas explained to Valentina about goro and Micholash, how because of himself, young sword cops and innocent civilians were killed.
Valentina was shocked at what she had heard. "Lucas…that's horrible…b-but it wasn't your fault. You shouldn't blame yourself for what happened!"
Ronnie just stood there, listening to her mother and father talk. Ronnie's eyes were completely focused on her father.
"Valentina…I can't stay here anymore…after what happened…I can't stay here in this home…or in California anymore…" Lucas struggled to say, making no eye contact with Valentina.
Valentina felt as though her heart had completely stopped. Her hands started to shake and her lips started trembling.
"W-what are you talking about?" Valentina said, feeling as though all the air was sucked right out of her "Lucas…what are you saying?"
Lucas clenched his fist "If I stay here in this house…It'll hurt…I can't be here anymore…I have to leave…"
Valentina widened her eye's, and she started taking deep breathes. She as dizzy, her hands were trembling, she felt as though was about to be sick. Lucas turned away from her and places his hand around the handle of his traveling bag. Valentina rushes forward and wrap her hands around Lucas.
"NO!" Valentina screamed "LUCAS DON"T LEAVE ME! YOU CAN"T GO! I DON"T CARE WHAT HAPPENED! IT"S GOING TO BE ALRIGHT! WHATEVER YOU"RE GOING THROUGH YOU DON"T HAVE TO DO IT ALONE! I"LL HELP YOU AND BE THERE FOR YOU!" tears started too stream down Valentina cheeks. She started sobbing violently she drops to her knees while she was clutching Lucas coat.
Lucas bit his bottom lip and then his clenches his teeth.
"YOU DON"T HAVE TO DO THIS, YOU"RE BEING RASH ABOUT THIS LUCAS!"
"I CAN"T STAY HERE ANYMORE! I DON"T, WANT TO BE HERE WHILE I SUFFER LIKE THIS!" Lucas roared.
Ronnie flinched at the sound of her father's voice being raised. She started to shiver and back up slowly while holding herself. Valentina just stared up at Lucas with tears in her eyes.
"I…I need to find myself…this whole experience…made me question everything…I need to find myself…I'm sorry Valentina but this is goodbye…" Lucas said, tears starting to glide down his cheeks. Luca looks over at Ronnie who had her back against the wall with a terrified expression, and tears rushing down her face.
Ronnie didn't know what to say or do. She just stood there and watched, shivering and scared.
Lucas quickly looked away. He turns the door knob, opens the front door, and walks out. He looks over his shoulder giving one last look to his daughter, Ronnie, Who was staring at him as he walked out. Ronnie didn't say anything, she didn't try and stop him, she just watched as Lucas closed the door to his home, and that was that.
Ronnie looked over at her mother, who didn't move from the spot she was laying at. Valentina sat there on her knees and didn't move a muscle. Ronnie, shaking in fear, slowly walks over to her mother.
"M…Mommy?" Ronnie whispered
Valentina gets to her feet. She turns around heads into the kitchen. Ronnie followed her mother into the kitchen. Valentina gets a frying pan from the rack and places it on the stove.
"Breakfast will be ready soon dear…" Valentina said, staring out the kitchen window.
"W…what…b-but mom…"
Valentina didn't turn to look at her daughter at all. She stood there, staring out the window.
Ronnie turned around and went upstairs into her room. She closed the door and gets right back into her bed. She places her covers over her head and shuts her eyes. She was shocked and terrified. The tears just kept streaming down her face as Ronnie started to silently cry. She couldn't believe that her father, the father that she loved so much, walked out on her and her mother, leaving them all by themselves.
With those thoughts running through her head she silently cried herself to sleep.
…
Ronnie wakes up hours later. She felt refreshed, and her exhaustion was gone. She takes the covers off of her head and lies up. She looks over at her clock that read 4:25pm. Ronnie thought it was all a dream, she thought that whatever happened was nothing more than a horrible nightmare.
Ronnie quickly got out of bed, opens the door to her room and quickly heads into her mother and father's room.
"Hey! Mom! Dad!" Ronnie said running into the room.
Valentina was sitting on the edge of the bed, staring out the window. Ronnie looked towards Lucas's closet. His closet was completely empty. Ronnie started breathing heavily, and the tears started to fall. It wasn't a nightmare…Lucas was truly gone.
"M-Mommy…" Ronnie said with a lump appearing in her throat.
Her mother didn't respond. She just sat there, motionless.
"Mom…" Ronnie said again.
"Veronica…" Valentina whispered. She didn't turn towards her at all.
Ronnie looked at her curiously. Wondering what her mother was going to say.
"I… I have been a good mother haven't I?"
"O-of course mom!" Ronnie said rushing over to her mother and placing her hands on her mother's arm.
Valentina looks down at Ronnie. Here eye's was bloodshot, and her eyes were emotionless. Ronnie stared up at her mother. More tears feel down from her cheeks. Ronnie, seeing her mother like this was heartbreaking.
"Have...I been a good wife?" Valentina asked
"Yes!" Ronnie said wrapping her arms around her mother hugging her tightly. "You're the best mom and best wife ever!" She said, sobbing on to her mother's chest.
Valentina grasp her hands around Ronnie's shoulders. Ronnie looks up at her mother with eyes full of tears. Valentinas lips trembled, and then she clenched her teeth.
"Then…then why?" Valentina said in a shaky voice. "THEN WHY DID HE LEAVE ME?!"
Ronnie's eyes widen
"WHY WHY WHY?! WHY DID HE LEAVE ME?! WHAT DID I DO WRONG?! WAS MY LOVE NOT ENOUGH?! WHAT DID I DO?! WHY WHY WHY WHY?!" Valentina screamed at the top of her lungs. She was tightening her grip on Ronnie's shoulders, her nails digging into Ronnie's skin and she was violently shaking Ronnie.
"OW! M-MOM STOP IT YOU"RE HURTING ME!" Ronnie cried.
"I"VE DONE EVERYTHING A WIFE WAS SUPPOSED TO! I LOVED HIM! I CHERISHED HIM! I DID EVERYTHING FOR HIM! SO WHY DID HE LEAVE ME?! I DON"T UNDERSTAND IT!"
"MOM! STOP IT! STOOOP!" Ronnie breaks away from her mother and shoves her aside. Valentina fell to the floor and Ronnie stumbled back, her back colliding against her mother's dresser.
Ronnie stared at her mother. Valentina looked over at Ronnie, she stared into her frightened daughters eyes. She held her hand out toward her, but Ronnie flinches and quickly gets to her feet and runs out the room.
"VEROINCA!" Valentina called out. "COME BACK!"
Ronnie runs downstairs and heads out the front door. Ronnie had to get away. She had to leave that house. She had to get away from her mother. Ronnie was frightened, confused and angry.
"Why?!" Ronnie thought "Why is this happening?! Why is this happening to me?!"
Ronnie knew where she had to go. She had to get to her grandmother. The only place where she knew where she could be safe, and she thought, hopefully that her grandmother could help her, hopefully her grandmother could help her family.
Soon after, Ronnie arrived at her grandmother's home. She ran up to the front door and rapidly knocks on the front door. Rosetta, who was sitting on the couch reading one of her books quickly got up and walked to the front door.
"Alright Alright I'm coming!" Rosetta said annoyed and she opens the front door.
Ronnie quickly hugs her grandmother and starts sobbing uncontrollably. Rosetta looks down at Ronnie surprised and confused.
"Veronica!" Rosetta said surprised "What's wrong?!"
"GRANDMA YOU HAVE TO HELP! PLEASE YOU HAVE TO FIND DADDY!" Ronnie begged and sobbed.
"What are you talking about?" Rosetta said staring down at Ronnie.
"DADDY"S GONE! A-AND MOMMY IS…SHE"S…"
"Lucas is what? Veronica…"
Ronnie couldn't form any words, she couldn't stop crying. Rosetta held Ronnie closely. Questions rushed through Rosetta's head. "What on earth happened?" "What happened to Lucas?" "Why did he leave?"
"Uh…excuse me?"
Rosetta looked up. It was Jason Morgan. He stood there staring at Rosetta and Ronnie. Rosetta glared at him.
"Who are you? What do you want?" Rosetta asked aggressively.
"My name is Jason Morgan. I'm the chief of the sword cops of Washington. You've probably heard about me from Lucas right?" Jason explained carefully.
"Oh…right. Yes he's told me about you…"
Jason looked down at Ronnie. Ronnie turns her head toward Jason with tears in her eyes.
"What do you want?" Rosetta asked.
"Well…it's about Lucas. I'm worried about him. It's about the commotion that happened in town." Jason said.
Jason then explained everything that happened. The confrontation with Goro, and the confrontation with Micholash.
"Is….is that the reason why he left?" Rosetta said to herself.
Jason looked at her confused "He left? Where to?" he asked.
"I…I don't know…" Ronnie whimpered "B-but…mommy…"
"Valentina…" Rosetta whispered. She looked at Jason "Can I trust you watch Veronica while I go see Valentina."
"Yes I'll do that…" Jason said nodding.
Ronnie looks up at Rosetta. Rosetta smiled down at her and rubs her cheek "It'll be ok Veroncica…stay strong for me ok?" She whispered to her.
Ronnie looked into her grandmother's bright green eyes. Ronnie nods and wipes her tears away from her eyes. Rosetta kisses Ronnie on her forehead and goes to her car and drives off to Luca's home.
Rosetta soon arrived at Luca's home. She saw that the front door was wide open. She steps out of the car and walks into the house.
"Valentina!" "Rosetta called out for her.
No answer
Rosetta decided to go upstairs. She looked forward seeing master bedrooms door wide open, and Valentina, sitting in the corner in the fetal position. Rosetta rushed right into the room and kneeled down to Valentina.
"Valentina, Valentina say something!" Rosetta said concerned.
Valentina slowly raised her head and looked up at Rosetta. Valentina's pupils seemed dim and lifeless. As if the life her emotion was sucked right out of her.
"Oh Valentina…" Rosetta said staring at her.
"…Rosetta…I…I didn't know you were stopping by…" Valentina said tiredly. She gets to her feet and stumbles a bit. "Come to kitchen…I'll fix you something…"
"Wait Valentina…"
But Valentina ignored her and walked toward downstairs while holding on to the railing and she walks into the kitchen
Rosetta looked toward what use to be Lucas's closet. She saw that it was completely empty. Her eyes widen when she looked on dresser. It was the family speed ring. Rosetta walked over to Lucas's dresser and picked up the family ring.
"Lucas, where on earth did you go?" Rosetta thought as she placed the ring inside her pocket.
Rosetta soon followed Valentina downstairs to the kitchen. The kitchen itself was a complete mess. Plates with breakfast and dinner were scattered across the kitchen table. And pots and pans were piled up in the sink.
"I have to…get dinner ready…Lucas is going to be hungry when gets back…I'm sure he would like a good home cooked meal…" Valentina said wearily
Rosetta just stood there staring at Valentina. Valentina opens up the upper cabinet, Rosetta watched as Valentina literally pulled out nothing. She was acting as though she was getting cook utensils from the cabinet.
"Valentina…what are you…"
"He'll be home soon…I need to…I need to get everything ready…" Valentina said slowly.
Valentina was acting as though she was getting dinner ready, happily humming a tone as she did so.
"Oh no…" Rosetta whispered. She knew what was wrong. It was too obvious.
The shock of Lucas leaving her, it was too for Valentina's heart and mind to take. Valentina's mental state was broken.
"Valentina…come on," Rosetta said walking over to Valentina and placing her hand on hers "We need to go…"
Valentina blankly stared at Rosetta "What're you talking about? Where are we going?" she asked.
"There's somewhere I want to take you...it'll be ok…trust me…" Rosetta said softly.
"But…if I leave now Lucas will get worried. I just can't leave and not tell hi-"
"Don't worry. I'll make sure Lucas knows ok?"
Valentina simply nodded. Rosetta took Valentina's hand and they left the house. She closes the front door the house, locks it and she takes Valentina to her car. Valentina got into the passenger seat of her car. Rosetta pulled out of the drive way of Lucas's home and she drove off.
Back home, Ronnie had explained what happened with Lucas back home. How he said that he couldn't stay with them anymore because it would hurt too much.
"I see…so that's what happened?" Jason said, sitting on the couch next to Ronnie.
Ronnie nods.
"I never would have thought that it would have such a big impact on him. I'm sorry Veronica…"
Ronnie didn't respond.
They both sat there quite. Jason looked over at Ronnie. Ronnie had a tired and depressed expression across her face.
Rosetta stepped through the front door. Ronnie quickly jumps off the couch runs over to her grandmother.
"Grandma, where's mom?!" Ronnie asked eagerly
Rosetta looked down at Ronnie; she kneeled down to her and rubs her cheek "Your mother is fine Veronica. She's we'll go see her very soon ok?" Rosetta said softly.
"Where is she?" Ronnie asked hesitantly
"She's somewhere safe Veronica. We'll see her tomorrow ok?"
Ronnie nods and hugs her grandmother.
"Well, I think I'll be going now." Jason said getting up from the couch
"Thank you." Rosetta said looking at Jason as he walks past her.
"It was no problem at all. Here," Jason said taking out a rectangular piece of paper with his number on it "If anything comes up that you need help with just give me a call."
"Right," Rosetta said nodding and taking the card. "Thank you again."
And with that, Jason left.
"Grandma…" Ronnie said looking up at her Grandmother.
"Oh Veronica, have you eaten at all?" Rosetta asked.
Ronnie shook her head no "I'm not really hungry…"
"That's not good Veronica you need to eat something. Come on I'll fix you something to eat."
"No…I don't feel like eating…" Ronnie said shaking her head again.
"Veronica…"
Ronnie turned around and headed towards the guest room. Rosetta sat on the couch, placed her elbow on the arm the couch and leans her head on her hand. So much has happened out of nowhere. She couldn't believe that her son had just gone up and left her family. And what was she going to tell Ronnie about her mother?
"We're going to run test on her. Like you said she could be going through a deep depression after what happened…but what you described what she was doing back at her home…it could be…"
"Could be what?"
"She might have…"
Rosetta gets up from the couch and heads toward the room Ronnie went into. She saw that Ronnie was already in bed. The covers were completely pulled over her head.
Rosetta heads off to her room. She looks towards the shelf that was full of her books and pictures of her family. She picks up the picture of Lucas when he was teenager. It was during the time that he was just learning the power of the family ring.
Rosetta clenches her fist
"Where the hell did you go boy?" Rosetta said through her teeth.
Rosetta places the picture back on the shelf. She takes the family ring out of her pocket and places it on the dresser next to her lamp, and she pulls back the covers to her gets in. She shuts her eyes and quickly fell asleep.
Rosetta was woken by the sound of her house phone ringing. Rosetta walked into the living room and answered the phone.
"Hello?" Rosetta said in drowsy tone.
"Is this Rosetta? It's me, Doctor Edwin."
"Oh! Doctor how is she?"
"Rosetta…I'm sorry to say this but…Valentina does indeed have Schizophrenia…"
Rosetta let out a small gasp "N-No..."
"We believe that the emotional stress that she went through might have triggered it." Doctor Edwin explained
"Valentina…"
"I'm sorry Ms. Rosetta…" Doctor Edwin said sincerely
"Can you help her?" Rosetta asked "Is there any way that you can treat her?"
"Schizophrenia can be treated. Some people have even recovered. But only time will tell…" Doctor Edwin said.
"I see…ok." Rosetta responded. "Is…Is ok if…we come to see her?" Rosetta asked
"Of course you can. Stop by today whenever you can."
"Thank you…" Rosetta said. And then she hung up the phone. Rosetta sighed and rubs her head. How was she going to tell Ronnie? Would she really want to take Ronnie to see her mother while she was like that? I have to, she thought. I can't just keep her from her mother. But she's too young…she's already going through so much right now. Seeing her mother would…
"Grandma…" Ronnie said, standing behind her.
Rosetta quickly turned around and looks at Ronnie. "Oh…Veronica…"
"What's wrong?" Ronnie asked looking up at her
"Oh it's…well…" Rosetta was hesitant. But she knew she couldn't keep
"Are we going to see mom today?"
Rosetta kneeled down to Ronnie and placed her hand on the shoulder. She looked directly into Ronnie's bright green eyes, while Ronnie stared back at her Grandmother's bright green eyes.
"Ronnie…I'm sorry I didn't tell you this yesterday when I should have. But I took your mother to the hospital yesterday…"
Ronnie gasped and her eyes widen a bit "W-what?! What happened?! Is she ok?!" she asked frightened
"It's not that type of hospital…it's a hospital that…well…" Rosetta tired to explain in a way that wouldn't scare Ronnie anymore then she already is.
Ronnie just stared at her grandmother, waiting for an answer.
"Your mother…isn't right in head right now Ronnie...the shock…and emotion that she went through…did something… but she's going to be ok, alright?"
"O-ok…" Ronnie said quietly
The two of them freshened up, got dressed, and left off to see Valentina.
The two of them arrived had at the mental hospital that Rosetta took Valentina. They parked, and headed inside. Ronnie held on to Rosetta's arm tightly as Rosetta walked up to the counter and asked for Valentina.
"Oh she's in room 15, and…I'll go and call for the doctor. He wanted to see you when you arrived." The lady at the counter said as she picked up the phone and called the doctor.
"Oh ok, come on Ronnie." Rosetta said
The both of them went down the hallway and heads toward the room where Valentina was. Near her room, Doctor Edwin was standing next to Valentina's door reading some notes on clip board.
"Doctor Edwin…" Rosetta said walking to him along with Ronnie. "Hello."
"Oh Hello Rosetta," Doctor Edwin said looking up from his clip board. The door to Valentinas room was open. And she sat in a chair next to window with its blinds open.
Valentina looked dazed, looking as if she was daydreaming. Her eyes still looked dim and lifeless. Valentina was mumbling under her breath.
"Mom?" Ronnie said walking up to her mother
Valentina continued to mumble to herself. A smile suddenly appeared across her face.
"Welcome home Veronica…how was school?" Valentina said as though she was talking in her sleep.
"I…I didn't go to school today mom…"
"That's nice dear…I'm glad you had fun…what did you learn today?"
"M-mom, I told you I didn't go to school today…"
Valentina giggled "Well…that's your daughter Lucas…she's always full of energy…" she said with a smile.
Ronnie stared at her, her lip started to tremble and she just stared at her mother.
"Valentina…Lucas is…" Rosetta walked up to her.
"What would you like for dinner dear? Would you like your favorite? Haha…no Veronica you can't have ice cream…"
"Mom…what're you talking about?" Ronnie said placing her hands on her mother's. "Mom…daddy's not here anymore…mom!"
Rosetta turned towards Doctor Edwin, looking for answer.
"Valentina is in a deep hallucination. The shock from what happened to her was as of course what you said Rosetta, was too much for her heart and mind to handle. We're trying all sorts of treatments but…"
"But what?! Spit it out damn it!" Rosetta asked worried.
Doctor Edwin sighed "When her episodes are over…she goes into a state where she barely responds, or doesn't want to communicate with any of us. It's like she's waiting for another episode to happen…" Doctor Edwin explained.
"B-but if she can at least still communicate with us why isn't she…talking to…" Rosetta said turning back to Ronnie.
Ronnie looked at the doctor and looked back to her mother. Her mother had stopped mumbling to herself. She just stared out the window, not looking at her daughter at all.
"MOM, MOM LOOK AT ME, WHY AREN"T YOU LISTENING?!" Ronnie screamed.
Her mother didn't respond. It was as if Valentina didn't see her at all. She paid Ronnie no attention.
"MOM, WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS? WHY ARE YOU ACTING LIKE I'M NOT HEAR?! I KNOW YOU"RE HURTING BECAUSE OF DADDY BUT EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE OK! WE"LL BOTH BE ALRIGHT! I LOVE YOU MOM!"
But…Valentina did not respond.
The tears started to flood down from her cheeks, and she started sobbing.
"M-Mommy..." Ronnie whispered with tears in her eyes. She buries her face into her mother's lap and continued to cry.
Valentina, didn't comfort her daughter. She only continued to not notice her.
Soon after, Rosetta and Ronnie left the hospital.
Through the whole car ride, Ronnie was silent. She had her head leaning on the car window. Not saying a word. Her eyes were red from all the crying. Rosetta didn't know what to say to her.
After they arrived home, Ronnie went straight to her room, and closed the door. Rosetta sat on the couch and buried her face into her hands. It hurts Rosetta to her grandchild go through this, her father leaving her, and her mother mentally broken and unfit to take care of her.
And now, it was just Rosetta and Ronnie.
