A/N- 10/1/17 9:27 PM – Wow its October already huh? You know I was hoping to get done with Season 2 Of EL Tigre the new adventures this year but damn me and my dumb procrastination huh? Well hey, maybe by the end of the year I'll be getting close to the last arch of this season that I can't wait to do. Anyway here's chapter 64.
EL Tigre The new adventures season 2 Episode 41 – Rosetta and Ronnie
Rosetta didn't sleep at all. For the whole night she couldn't sleep. She stayed up, thinking about Lucas, thinking about Valentina, and most of all, worrying about Ronnie. Rosetta sat at her kitchen table. Her head rested in the palm of her right hand. She blankly stared at her kitchen table, feeling tired, sluggish and drowsy. She looks up, seeing the clock that was hanging on the wall that reads 6:25am.
Rosetta yawned and gets up from her kitchen table and heads to Ronnie's room. She slowly turns the door knob and gently opens the door. Rosetta peaks into Ronnie's room, seeing that she was sitting on the bed with her knees to her chest and staring out the window.
Rosetta walked in, she goes over to Ronnie and sits on the edge of her bed. Ronnie didn't bother to look at Rosetta. She just kept staring out the window.
"Veronica…" Rosetta said, reaching over to her and placing her hand on her shoulder.
Again, Ronnie didn't turn to her.
"Veronica..." Rosetta whispered to her
Ronnie turned to face her. Her eyes were red, and there were black bags under her eyes.
"Oh Veronica…" Rosette reached over and wraps her arms around Ronnie. Ronnie leans her head onto her grandmother's chest and closes her eyes "I'm here for you dear…everything is going to be ok…" she whispered softly to her.
"Grandma…" Ronnie whispered "I want Daddy…"
"I know dear…I know…" Rosetta said rubbing her head gently
Ronnie shivered and sobbed, she buries her face into her Grandmother's chest. Rosetta slowly rocks her back and forth.
Rosetta sat there with Ronnie for a couple of minutes. Rosetta noticed that Ronnie was staring to fall asleep. Rosetta brushes Ronnie's hair softly, and hummed melody for her.
Ronnie's eyes started to get heavy, and she whispered "Grandma…please…don-don't leave me…"
Rosetta looks down at Ronnie and smiles "Like I said Veronica…I'm always here…" she kissed her on her head. Ronnie closed her eyes and drifts off to sleep. Rosetta pulls back the covers to Ronnie's bed and lays her down, and puts the covers over her.
Rosetta lies down next to Ronnie, and puts her arm around her. The second that Rosetta's head hits the pillow, she instantly fell asleep.
…
It was evening by the time Rosetta had awoken. She rubs her eyes and looks over at Ronnie. Seeing that Ronnie was still asleep, Rosetta yawns, and silently gets out of Ronnie's bed and leaves the room.
She heads into the kitchen and fixes herself a cup of coffee.
She takes out a spoon from the kitchen drawer and stirs the coffee. She stares into cup of coffee as white steaming smoke resonates from the cup of coffee. Rosetta lifts the cup of coffee and takes a small sip.
Rosetta turns around and looks at the clock. The time read 2:25pm.
"Ugh…I can't believe I slept that long…" Rosetta said groaning and rubbing her eyes.
"Grandma…"
Rosetta looked to the right seeing Ronnie standing there rubbing her eyes.
"Oh Veronica…good morning…or evening…I think…" Rosetta giggled
"I'm hungry…" Ronnie said quietly.
"Oh…right…you haven't eaten anything since yesterday haven't you?" Rosetta said rubbing Ronnie's cheek. "Let me fix you some breakfast."
Ronnie sat at the kitchen table as she watched Rosetta fixed breakfast. Rosetta walked over to Ronnie and placed the plate of scrambled eggs and toast in front of her.
"If you want more just ask and I'll fix you a second helping." Rosetta said sitting down at the table and she takes another sip of her coffee.
Ronnie picks up the fork and slowly began to eat her eggs. Rosetta watched as Ronnie slowly ate as took more sips of her coffee. They both sat there quietly, the light from the sun shined through the window onto the two of them.
"Did you sleep well Veronica?" Rosetta asked, breaking the silence.
"I slept ok…" Ronnie responded silently
"We really stayed up pretty late didn't we?" Rosetta said chuckling lightly.
Ronnie nods and continues eating her eggs and takes a bite out of her toast. Ronnie finished eating her breakfast and pushes the plate away.
"Oh? Don't' you want some more Ronnie?" Rosetta asked.
Ronnie shook her head no "I'm fine."
"Ok…" Rosetta said taking the plate and putting in the sink, running some water over it. Rosetta turned around and looked at Ronnie, who was staring out the kitchen window.
What am I going to do? Rosetta thought. She couldn't bear to see her granddaughter like this, a girl her age is supposed to be smiling, living the life of a child with love and care...but now…now she's going through this. Rosetta lightly smacks her hand on her forehead. What am I talking about? I'm all she's got right now. I should be cheering her up! I should be making her smile an-
"Grandma…"
Rosetta turned around "Yes Veronica?"
"The water in the sink is overflowing." Ronnie said pointing at the sink.
Rosetta turned back to the sink and looked down, seeing that the water she had left running was overflowing on the counter.
"OH SHOOT!" Rosetta said turning the water off. The water was rushing across the counter and spilling on to the floor.
Ronnie silently giggle's as she watches her Grandmother clean up the water off the floor hastily. Rosetta reaches into the sink and takes the plate off the drain that was blocking the water from going down.
"Ugh, sometimes I just get lost in thought I lose focus of what I was doing…" Rosetta said rubbing her head. She looks over at Ronnie "Veronica, how about I take you out for Pizza tonight?"
Ronnie looked at her Grandmother and her eyes lit up "R-really?" she said, a smile was forming across her face.
Rosetta nods and returns the smile and nods
"Thanks Grandma!" Ronnie said with a big smile.
Rosetta looked at her Granddaughter. She felt a slight relief.
At the sight of a smile across her face again.
Later on that day, Rosetta and Ronnie drove into town. Rosetta noticed the lack of people that were out. Usually around a time like this there would be more people walking the streets and hanging out, but of course she understood why.
Because of the situation that happened a few days ago involving Lucas, the sword cops from Washington and that man named Micholash, it left people frightened. People were probably shocked that Lucas had lost. Rosetta looked over at Ronnie. Ronnie was simply staring out the car window.
Rosetta and Ronnie had arrived at the pizza parlor. Rosetta looked inside the pizza parlor to see that the place was empty. Is it closed? Rosetta thought. The two of them got out of the car and headed inside the Pizza parlor.
"Hello? Is anyone here?" Rosetta called out.
"Oh! I didn't expect to have any customers tonight." Stefano said coming around from the back room. His eyes glimmered with excite when he saw both Rosetta and Ronnie. "Oh Rosetta and Veronica, it's good to see you all." He said happily. "And it's also good to know that you all are alright!"
Stefano was a short, tanned skinned man with a round belly and a grey mustache on his upper lip, and wore a big chef's hat on his head.
"It's good to see you too Stefano." Rosetta said smiling at him.
"And how are you doing little Veronica?" Stefano asked.
Ronnie didn't respond. She just hung her head low and held on to her grandmother's hand.
Stefano looked at Rosetta confused "Is she ok?"
Rosetta didn't want to get on the topic of Lucas and Valentina in front of Ronnie at the moment. "Hey Stefano, can I talk to you in the back? I want to tell you about that special surprise I've wanted you to fix for Veronica." She said nudging at Stefano
"What do you mea-OH right! That surprise!" Stefano said with a smile.
Ronnie looked up at them curiously
"Go have a seat Veronica. Me, and Stefano are going to go get everything ready." Rosetta said patting Ronnie on her head.
"Ok…" Ronnie said nodding.
The two of them walked into the back room. Stefano sat down in a chair and looks over at Rosetta. Rosetta sat down on the stool that was next to the door. Rosetta explained everything that happened, with Lucas, and with Valentina.
"My god…" Stefano said placing his elbow on the desk and resting his head in the palm of his hand.
Rosetta nods "That's…pretty much everything…"
"I heard about what happened downtown but…to think it would affect Lucas like that…to make him walk out on his family…"
Rosetta just sighed
"And Valentina…the poor girl…" Stefano took off his chef's hat and rubs his forehead. "Rosetta I am so sorry to hear all of this…"
"It's fine. As long as Veronica Is happy...that's all that matters to me right now is taking care of her…" Rosetta said
"Right," Stefano said nodding. "Does Lucas still have the ring?" Stefano asked.
"No…he left it behind…"
"I see…" Stefano said, tapping his fingers on his knees. "So…I'm guess when Veronica will be of proper age?"
"If…that's what she wants." Rosetta said getting up from the small stool "I don't want to force her…"
"Right, well. I think I better get working on that special surprise for Veronica." Stefano "It'll be on the house."
Rosetta smiled at Stefano "Thank you so much Stefano." She said
"Anything for my best customers," Stefano said, returning the smile.
Rosetta left the back room and return to the front of the store. She see's that Ronnie was sitting at one of the tables next to the window. She had her chin rested in the palm of her hand and she was staring out the window with a sad expression across her face.
Rosetta walked over to Ronnie and sat down in the seat in front of her.
"Hey Veronica," Rosetta said. "Your surprise will be ready soon!"
"Oh that's good…" Ronnie said nodding.
They both sat there in silence. Rosetta tried to think of something to say to her granddaughter to try to at least get a small conversation started with her. She looked down at her hands and twiddled her thumbs, trying to think of something to say. But to her surprise Ronnie was the one to speak first.
"Grandma…" Ronnie said softly
Rosetta broke form her daze and looked at Ronnie "Y-yes Veronica?"
"Why did you become a hero?"
Rosetta looked out the window, staring at the cars that drove by.
"At first I didn't want to be." Rosetta responded.
Ronnie looked at her grandmother surprised
"I was…a pretty stubborn child. I was always rebellious, never listened to my parents…I didn't want to be a hero." Rosetta explained.
"You didn't?" Ronnie said
Rosetta shook her head no. "No…I wanted to do my own thing…I didn't really look up to hero's. I didn't really care at all…" she explained "But…"
Ronnie listened carefully to her grandmother.
"One day…a group of villains attacked in our city. It was me; my father and mother were together at that time. The villain took out the police squad that tried to stop them, so my father stepped in. It was tough battle, but my father had him on the ropes. The Villain knew that he was going to lose, and my father could have beaten him."
"So…what happened?" Ronnie asked
"The villain sent an attack at straight towards me and mother…my father hurried over toward us…and took the hit for me and my mother…" Rosetta explained.
Ronnie's eyes widened in shock
"The villain got away…the attack that my father took…pierced through his spine…" Rosetta said looking down at her hands "My father lost his ability to walk…"
"G-Grandma…" Ronnie said looking at her grandmother. Her grandmother's hands were shaking a bit.
Rosetta looked up, and stared at Ronnie "But…it didn't bother my father at all…he didn't care if he had lost his ability to walk…I remember the words he said to me…when I was crying on his lap…"
"Losing my ability to walk…is nothing more than a small price to pay. You being here by my side, talking, smiling, and even crying brings a smile to my face. Rosetta, being a hero is about setting aside your fear, and putting your life on the line to protect the people around you, and the people you care about. That, is what it means to be a hero my daughter."
Rosetta reached into her pocket and pulled out the family speed ring. She twirls it around in her fingers, and then smiled.
"After he told me those words…my whole perspective on things changed. I hated myself for how I acted towards my father and my mother. After a couple of years passed…and I became of proper age…my father passed down the family ring to me. My father taught everything about what power this ring holds." Rosetta eyes became glassy. It had been so long since she talked about her father. "After that…my father passed away due to illness he suffered through. My mother as well, soon passed away from heart failure. Ever since then…I carried on the legacy…I met the man I loved…and…well Lucas was born."
"Grandma…" Ronnie whispered "Wasn't it hard…after you lost your dad?"
Rosetta nods "It was…I loved him so much…he put up with my disobedience…but loved me with all my heart. But…I couldn't let his passing distract me…I went on to being the first speed witch of the family with my head held high…knowing my father was watching over me."
Ronnie stared at her mother amazed. Her grandmother had gone through so much, yet, she had lost her mother and her father and still became an amazing hero. Ronnie bit her lip and clenched her fist.
"Oh…Veronica I'm sorry…I didn't mean to ramble on like that…" Rosetta said looking at Ronnie.
"No…its fine, I'm glad that I'm getting to know a bit more about you Grandma…" Ronnie said looking at her grandmother with a smile.
Rosetta returned the smile. The sound of the back doors by the kitchen opened. Stefano came out with large pan of pizza. The aroma from the Pizza lingered around Ronnie and she started to drool.
"That Pizzaaaaa…smells soooooo gooooood!" Ronnie said excited. Her stomach growled loudly.
"Oooh, seems like someone hasn't eaten anything in awhile." Stefano said placing the large pizza on the table.
"YES I AM!" Ronnie said quickly taking a slice of Pizza and stuffing it in her mouth.
"V-Veronica slow down, don't forget to chew and swallow!" Rosetta said quickly.
Stefano laughed happily and so did Rosetta. Rosetta took a slice and takes a bite out of it.
"Stefano this pizza is delicious! It's different from what you usually serve!" Rosetta said with a smile
"This is my new style! You two are the first to taste it!" Stefano said proudly.
"DIS IS DELICIOUS!" Ronnie said with her mouth full
"Veronica, remember to chew." Rosetta said giggling.
"I KNOW I KNOW!" Ronnie said nodding quickly.
Rosetta and Ronnie continued on eating, chatting, smiling and laughing. Rosetta watched as Ronnie was laughing. Happy, that her granddaughter was happy once again.
After they finished eating, the two of them said their goodbye's to Stefano, hopped in the car and drove off back home. Rosetta looked over at Ronnie. She didn't have a saddened look on her face anymore. It was the expression of someone who was thinking hard about something.
Soon after they arrived back home, and they both got out the car and walked towards the front door of Rosetta's home, Ronnie stopped walking. Rosetta turned around and looked at Ronnie.
"Veronica?" Rosetta asked worriedly.
"Grandma…" Ronnie said clenching her fist. "I…"
Rosetta stared at Ronnie.
"When…I'm old enough...please…" Ronnie looked up at her grandmother with her eyes full of determination "Teach me to be a hero just like you!"
Rosetta looked down at her granddaughter. "Are you sure that's what you want Veronica?" She asked in a serious tone.
Ronnie nods "I…I want to learn how to be strong like you…I want to learn how to be strong enough to protect everyone! And everyone I care about!" she said determinedly
Rosetta smiled. She walks over to Ronnie and pats her head softly. "I'll make sure that you'll be a great hero. Probably even greater than me Veronica…" she said lovingly.
Ronnie looks up at her grandmother and smiles. They both went inside. Ronnie hopped in bed, and Rosetta tucked her in. She kissed her on the forehead and smiled at her.
"Good night Veronica." Rosetta smiled.
"Good night grandma." Ronnie said smiling at her.
Rosetta left the room, and closed the door. Ronnie looked out the bedroom window. The moonlight from the clear night sky shined down at her. Ronnie thought about her mother Valentina, and her father Lucas. She clinched her sheets and closes her eyes.
"I don't want…to lose anyone…anymore…I'll be a strong hero…and protect everyone around me and everyone I love…" Ronnie whispered. She soon started to drift off to sleep "Mom…Dad…"
Ronnie drifted off to sleep, peacefully.
In the other room, Rosetta sat on the edge of her bed and stared at the picture of Lucas.
"Lucas…Valentina…your daughter is growing up…I'm sorry Valentina that you probably won't get to see her that much anymore. Lucas…wherever you are…I hope you'll come to your senses soon and come back." Rosetta said as she walks over to her bed, pulls back the covers and lies down. Rosetta's eyes became heavy; she was already starting to drift off to sleep.
"I can finally sleep easy…knowing that Veronica…isn't hurting as much anymore…" Rosetta said, as she drifts off to sleep.
…
"GRANDMA!" Ronnie shouted.
Rosetta eyes snapped open and she quickly lies up "V-VERONICA WHAT"S WRONG?!" She shouted hysterically
"IM READY FOR TRAINING!" Ronnie screamed. "LET"S DO THIS!"
Rosetta stared at Ronnie. She let out a big sigh and fell back on her pillow.
"Veronica, don't scare me like that…" Rosetta said sighing in relief. "I thought you were in trouble."
"TRAINING!" Ronnie shouts
"Veronica it's too soon and waaay too early in the morning for that!" Rosetta said lying up and looking over at Ronnie.
"I want to start training now Grandma!" Ronnie said eagerly
"Oh Veronica…" Rosetta said tiredly.
"I'm ready for anything!" Ronnie said confidently
"You shouldn't rush things so suddenly." Rosetta said looking at the clock that was sitting on the shelf. The time read 7:34am. She looks back at Ronnie, who had a very determined expression on her face.
Rosetta chuckles "Veronica…you need to understand." She said as she opens the drawer and takes out the family ring. "When you have this ring around your finger, an incredible surge of power will be gifted to your body. Yes, it gives you the power of speed…but you can't underestimate it."
Ronnie listened carefully to her grandmother.
"This surge of power will rush through your body. It will be VERY hard to control; I know it was for me when I first tried it."
"How was it like for you?" Ronnie asked.
"Well…" Rosetta thought back to her first experiences with the family ring. "I didn't feel any different at all. But...that all changed when i started to run...annnnd..." Rosetta rubs the back of her neck and she had very embarrassed expression on her face. Ronnie tilted her head curiously. "I ran straight into a wall…" Rosetta said embarrassed
Ronnie started to giggle, which turned into a laugh.
"It's not funny! It really hurt!" Rosetta said blushing. Rosetta sighed "That's why I want to wait till your older Veronica. You're far too young right now to start training."
Ronnie nods "Ok Grandma." She smiled "But…how old was dad when he started training?"
"Hmmm…I think he was…probably at least 12 or 13…"
"12 or 13?!" Ronnie shocked "THAT"S SO LONG AWAY!"
"Like I said Veronica I'm not teaching you till you're of right age…" Rosetta Said "It's normal for a family of hero's to teach their children when they enter their teenage years."
"Humph!" Ronnie turned away from Rosetta and crossed her arms.
Rosetta giggled at Ronnie's reaction. Then a sudden thought came to her.
"Hey Veronica, do you want to hear a story?" Rosetta asked.
Ronnie turned to Rosetta curiously
"I told this story to your father when you were his age. So think of it as…an early start to understanding the legacy of our family." Rosetta said with a smile.
"Really?" Ronnie said hopping into her grandmother's bed. "TELL ME TELL ME!"
"Alright alright," Rosetta said chuckling. "Let's see…it all started…with the first user of the family ring…"

Year: 1823
I wasn't going to stand for it anymore. I hated them. They were nothing more than stupid power hungry bastards who used their strength to get what they wanted. They hurt so many people. They made so many families suffer. And nobody wanted to do anything about it. People were scared, they were weak. But I wasn't going to let them just do whatever they wanted! I wasn-
"YOU JUST DON"T LEARN DO YOU?!" Patrick roared, kicking him right in the gut sending him rolling on the ground. Patrick was short but pretty well built muscle around his arms and legs. He had a five o clock shadow around his face. He had no hair on the top of his head, and he wore a brown shirt with brown pants
"That's enough Patrick." Vask said standing with the rest of the crew. "I'm pretty sure this stupid kid finally gets the picture."
Vask was taller than Patrick. He was also well built in muscle. He carried an Axe with thick and razor sharp blade. His hair was short and blond. Vask left eye was closed. That was due to the fact that he had no eyeball in his left eye.
"This kid is seriously getting on my nerves…" Phillip said agitated. Philip wasn't as well built as Patrick or Vask was. But he could handle his own. His hair was long and brown. He wore blow short shorts and black boots.
"Just leave him…" Vask said "Let's go."
Vask, Patrick, Philip and the rest of the group Left off, leaving the boy lying on the ground beaten and bruised.
"Damn it…" Leonardo said, with his messy black hair. He wore a dirt covered overalls, and his face was bruised and covered with sores. His skin was tanned and his eyes were bright were brown.

"DAMN IT!" Leonardo yelled from the top of his lungs.
Leonardo struggles to get to his feet. His body was aching. He felt a strong pain come from his stomach. Two of Leonardo's ribs were broken. He slowly walked back to town with his head hung low. Leonardo has been trying his best to fight against Vask's gang. T
Vask gangs are group of bandits that were well known for raiding towns multiple times.
Leonardo was the only who puts up a fight against Vask and his gang.
As he walked into town, all the citizens who were out looked at Leonardo.
"He's going to get himself killed…" A Female citizen said.
"He should just stop…" A male citizen said.
Leonardo shoots a glare over at the female and male Citizen.
"SO WE SHOULD JUST GIVE UP THEN?!" Leonardo screamed. He winches and drops to one knee
"Leonardo!" Alice said running over to Leonardo. Alice's hair was blonde. She wore a blue dress that was slightly covered in dirt.

Height: 5,1
Leonardo looked up at Alice "I-I'm fine…I'm fine…" He said getting to his feet. "Just…a little banged up is all…"
"Leo, please don't tell me that you were trying to fight those thugs again?" Alice asked
Leonardo looked away
Alice sighed "Leonardo…you have to stop going against them…"
"Why should I?! They're the reason we're all in this mess! Look around you Alice! People are dying! Kids are starving!" Leonardo shouted.
"Leonardo…i…" Alice didn't know what to say.
Leonardo clenches his teeth and hands in frustration.
"Leonardo, come inside the house so I can at least treat your wounds…" Alice said, grasping Leonardo's hand.
Leonardo looks away and nods.
Alice took Leonardo into her home. He winces as he walks over to the nearest chair and sits down. Alice grabs the aid kit and opens it. She sighs as there were only some bandages and a bit ointment left.
Alice took out the bottle of ointment and used whatever was left, and rubs it on Leonardo's wounds gently. She then takes the bandages and wraps them around the bruises.
"It's not much…so I hope this still helps…"
"Its fine…thanks Alice…" Leonardo said softly.
Alice simply smiled
"HEY! WHERE ARE ALL THE PEOPLE AT?! DID WE CHASE EM AWAY OR SOMETHING?!"
"Oh no…"Alice whispered.
Leonardo growls "Them…" he said viciously as she sprung up from his seat. "Why are they here?! Haven't they already done enough?!"
"Leonardo, please…" Alice said looking over at him "You've already been hurt…"
Vask and his crew had entered town. Everyone who was on the streets hurried into their homes.
"This place looks poor and pathetic as usual…" Phillip said snickering "Where's that blond haired girl with the nice chest?" he said licking his lips.
"I want that blond girl with the nice chest." Patrick said rubbing his hands.
Leonardo's anger started to rise quickly. Alice turned around and quickly rushed over to Leonardo and whispers in his ear.
"Leo…please, calm yourself, you're already hurt enough as it is. Please don't do anything crazy…" She whispered to him
"God damn it…" Leonardo snarled.
"Hey, how about you over there girl?" Patrick said pointing at the girl with black hair.
A girl with black hair ragged fluffy dress turned around. She had a terrified expression on her face and she took a couple of steps back. Phillip stepped forward snickering.
"W-what do you want?" Said the black haired girl named Olicia in a shaky tone
"You're coming with us cute!" He said licking his lips
"W-What?!" Olicia said frightened
"We are going to need some company, mind coming with us?" Vask asked with a dirty smirk across his face.
Olicia was going to turn around and run away but was tripped over the small stool that was in front of her causing her to fall down. One of the Vask's friends laughed at the sight of Olicia and ran over to her and grabs her by her arm and yanks her up.
"OW! STOP IT! YOU"RE HURTING ME!" Olicia cried
"This wouldn't have happened if you didn't try to run form us!" Vask said "Hurry up and bring her with us an-"
"LEONARDO WAIT!" Alice shouted.
Leonardo rushed out from Alice's house and heads outside. He stood in front of Vask and his crew members with a fierce look in his eye.
"Hey…isn't he that punk we beat up earlier?" Patrick asked looking at Vask
"Yeah…I didn't know he lived around here. What the hell do you want?" One of Vask crew members asked.
"Let me guess…you want to save this whore don't you?" Vask said raising an eyebrow.
Leonardo clenches his fist and charges after Vask.
Vask sighed, waiting for Leonardo to get a little closer to him. Leonardo throws a punch, but his fist was caught in the clutches of Vasks hand. He clenches down tightly on Leonardo's fist, making Leonardo winch in pain.
"I'm getting Déjà vu." Said Vask "Didn't this happen earlier today?" He twist Leonardo's wrist.
Leonardo lets out a cry of pain. Vask then kicks Leonardo in the stomach knocking him to the ground.
"Boy's, you wanna teach this punk a lesson again?" Vask said turning around to his crew.
"Sure thing boss," Patrick said with a smirk
All of Vask's crew huddles around Leonardo and proceeds to stomp, punch, and kick him all at once.
"STOP IT!" Alice screamed "STOP IT! YOU"VE ALREADY HURT HIM ENOUGH!"
Vask and his crew all turned towards Alice. They all stared at her in awe.
"Now look at her…" Phillip said chuckling to himself.
"NO! STAY AWAY FROM HER! DON"T YOU DARE TOUCH HER!" Leonardo roared.
"Shut up!" Patrick shouted, kicking Leonardo in the face. Blood came rushing out of his nose.
"Leo!" Alice cried out
"Oh so this is your girl huh?" Vask said walking up to her grabbing her by her hair. Alice let a painful cry and tears streamed down her face.
"DAMN YOU BASTARDS!" Leonardo screamed.
"She's our girl now. I hope you don't mind..." Vask said spitting on the ground near Leonardo. "Come on little bitch…" he said aggressively, gripping Alice by her wrist and tugging her forward.
"ALICE!" Leonardo cried out.
"Oh shut up already said." Phillip said kicking Leonardo in the head.
Leonardo was dazed, and his eyes were blurry and he struggled to get to his feet. Then, he blacked out.

A couple of hours passed, and Leonardo woke up lying in a bed. Leonardo quickly lied up, and when he did he winces and holds his head.
"O-Ow!" Leonardo groaned.
"You shouldn't move so much. Those guys gave you quite a beating."A deep, calm, but intimidating voice said
Leonardo looked to the right. He looked right over at a man, dressed in a bright red suit. His skin was light brown, and his hair was wrapped in a pony tail.
"What the…w-who are you?" Leonardo asked "I've never seen someone like you around here before…"
"True, I've just arrived at this town actually. At First I thought it was abandoned. But it seems it must be going through a crisis." Said the man dressed in red.
"O…oh…you're awake…" Olicia said, walking through the door with a cup of water in her hand.
"You're that girl…" Leonardo said staring at Olicia.
She nods "T-thank you for stopping them…and I'm sorry for…what happened to…your friend…or lover…" She said timidly.
"A-ALICE!" Leonardo said suddenly remembering. He lets out a loud groan, holding his ribs.
The man dressed in red chuckles.
Leonardo shoots him a cold glare "You think it's funny?!" he said through his teeth.
"Oh no, I wasn't laughing at you. You just remind me of myself is all." The man dressed in red smiled.
"You didn't answer my question! Who are you?!"
"Oh right my name. I'm Joseph, nice to meet you." Joseph said holding out his hand.
Leonardo turned away, rejecting Joseph's handshake.
"By the way, my condolences for what happened to…Alice you said her name was?"
Leonardo yanks the sheets off of him and struggles to get out of bed.
"W-wait…" Olicia said stopping him. "You can't go! If you do they'll probably kill you!"
"I JUST CAN"T SIT HERE AND DO NOTHING!" Leonardo screamed.
"B-But…"
"She's right." Joseph said nodding "Your determination is admirable but there's not much you can do."
"And what help are you besides sitting here and insulting me!" Leonardo growled
"Well I do have some information for you. That would probably…change your entire future." Joseph said, tapping his finger on his left hand.
Leonardo narrows his eyes at him "What? My future…what're you getting at?"
Joseph points out the window, towards the mountains above the town.
"Up to the mountains?" Leonardo said looking out the window.
"Up the mountains, keep going straight. At the split paths take a right, you'll see a field of blue flowers, and once you keep going you'll see a small house." Joseph explained
"And what exactly am I going to find?" Leonardo asked curiously
"That is something you'll have to find out for yourself…" Joseph said getting up from his seat and heads for the door.
"Hey! Wait hold on!" Leonardo said getting out of the bed slowly "Why the hell did you tell me all of this?!"
"Why?" Joseph said turning around to face Leonardo "Like I said…you remind me of myself…before I changed…" he smirked.
"B-before you changed…what'r-"
"Your name is Leonardo right?" Joseph asked
"Yeah…" Leonardo said nodding.
"I like that name. It's…classy…" Joseph said with a smile. "Oh by the way, make sure to bring something of great value with you. You'll need it when you get to the house on the mountain."
"But…" Leonardo said as he started to think "But the only thing I have is-"
"Whatever it is…in the end…it'll be worth it." Joseph said staring at Leonardo.
Leonardo looked Joseph right in the eyes and asked "How do I know if I can trust you or not? You just randomly appear in this room and start telling me all of this stuff? How do I know you're not with those thugs? And you're trying to stop me from coming back for Alice?" he asked seriously
"That's true." Joseph said, nodding and crossing his arms. "But then again, there's not much someone like you could do for me to stop you. At your current state you won't be able to do anything at all besides get beat down and possibly killed."
Leonardo clenches his fist and teeth.
"But…do whatever you want. I'm just trying to help…" Joseph said shrugging. "Right now you're wasting time…who knows what's happened to your girl…"
Leonardo eyes widened "Alice…" he whispered.
"Well…it was nice meeting you...and good luck…Leonardo." Joseph said waving to Leonardo and Olicia, and with that. He was gone.
"Up the mountains…down a straight path…I'll find split paths and I need to take a right…" Leonardo memorized it in his head.
"Do you think…that this is safe?" Olicia asked.
"I don't know…but right now…I'll do whatever it takes to save Alice." Leonardo said determinedly. He looks at Olicia "And thanks for helping me the best that you could."
Olicia nods "Of course…same to you…" she smiled. "Are you sure that you're going to be ok for traveling?"
"I might be beat up a bit but I can still walk. I don't have any time to waste." Leonardo said walking towards the door "Again…thanks for helping me." Leonardo left the room and left the home.
Leonardo looked up towards the mountain above town.
"I have to give something…of equal value to whoever I'm meeting up that mountain huh?" Leonardo said "Alright…"
Before Leonardo did anything. He went straight home to get the only valuable thing that he had.

"D-Damn it…" Leonardo said, trailing up the dirt path. His legs were aching, as so was his ribs. "Even if I'm hurting…I can't waste any time…"
Leonardo trailed up the long path, till finally he came across the split path. He did what he was informed to do. He took the right path, and continued down the path. It was just as Joseph said. When took a kept going, he would see a trail of blue flowers. Pebble sizes orbs were floating around the flowers.
"What the heck?" Leonardo said rubbing his eyes "Am I…seeing things or something?"
Leonardo shook his head and continued on. Leonardo followed the trail of flowers for a couple of minutes till finally, he met his destination. It was small, well kept looking house. There were blue flowers around the front of home. The small yellow orbs that Leonardo saw floating around the blue flowers, were floating all around the area.
"Just what the hell…did I get myself into?" Leonardo said to himself.
"Well this is interesting…" Said a soft female voice
Leonardo turned around "W-who said that?!"
"I usually don't get any company up here. Who are you?"
"Am I going crazy? Who the hell is talking?! It sounds like it's in my head!" Leonardo shouted.
"Oh calm down…I'm just communicating with you telepathy."
"Telepathy…what the heck is that?" Leonardo asked confused
The front door to the small house opened. Leonardo looked forward. She stepped out the front door. She wore a snow white dress, and her hair was silk white, her pupils were also snow white.
"Are you lost?" asked Saravati

"I…i…uhh…" Leonardo didn't know what to say. He has never seen a woman like this before. "What…are you?"
Saravati giggles "The number of times I've been asked that." She shook her head. "If you're lost, go around back and take the path heading down…" she said turning around.
"WAIT!" Leonardo said quickly "I'm here to see you!"
Saravati paused "You're here to see me?" She turned back to him "What business do you have with me?"
"I…I heard from someone…that you could help me. You see…the town that I am from…it's…it's falling apart. Thugs came to our village and they took everything from us…and…they took…they took the women I love as well…" Leonardo explained. Irritated at the thought of Alice with those thugs
Saravati looked at him for a moment "How did you find out about me?" she asked.
"A man named Joseph told me to come here for help."
Saravati smiles "I see. Well, come in." She said heading into her home.
Leonardo quickly followed behind.
Leonardo stepped into Saravti's home. The inside of her house smelled sweat, and it felt warm. Her walls were filled with paintings of the sky, sea, and pictures of flowers. There was one painting that caught Leonardo's eye. It was a painting of what looked like a demon or a devil, kneeling down with his hand out to a small little girl dressed in white gown.
Saravati walked into the main room, and Leonardo followed closely behind.
Saravati sat down in a chair and stared at Leonardo "Aren't you going to sit?" she asked looking over at the small stool behind Leonardo.
Leonardo turned around and he grabs the small stool and sits down.
"What's your name?" Saravati asked.
"Leonardo…"
"Oh? Nice name…my name is Saravati. I'm a witch."
Leonardo's eyes widen "A-A witch?!" he said shocked.
Saravati nods "Indeed. I try my best to keep my identity a secret. I've done well till now. Well, it's all thanks to him anyway…" she said, referring to Joseph
"I…I can't believe it…I'm talking to a witch…a…a real witch…"
Saravati chuckles "Yes I am a real witch."
Leonardo quickly came to senses "Please mam! I can't waste anymore time!" Leonardo said eagerly.
Saravati smiled "Ok, so what is it that you want?" she asked curiously
"I need…to be stronger… I need to be stronger in order to save my town! Whatever you can do! JUST HELP ME PLEASE!"
Saravait tilted her head "And…in return?" she asked
Leonardo dug into his pocket and pulled out a silver ring. Saravati looked at the ring. Leonardo handed the ring over Saravati.
"Beautiful ring…" Saravati said examining the ring.
"That ring…I was…going to ask Alice to merry me." Leonardo said
"Oh?"
"Yes…" Leonardo said nodding.
"Well…this will do. Now leave."
Leonardo blinked a couple of times. "W-what?"
"You heard me. Get out."
"WHAT?!" Leonardo said springing up from his seat "WHAT DO YOU MEAN GET OUT?! AREN"T YOU GOING TO HELP ME?!
Saravati glared at Leonardo. He held out her hand. Leonardo started to float from off the ground. Then he was sent flying out of the small house.
"HEEEY! WHAT THE HELL?!" Leonardo screamed "YOU BACKSTABBING BITCH!" he ran to Saravati's front door and banged on it "OPEN THIS DOOR! OPEN THIS DOOR NOW! DAMN YOU!"
The tears streamed down Leonardo's cheeks. "Noo…damn it…noo…" he sobbed.
He collapsed to his knees and bangs his fist to the ground. He clenches his fist and looked up.
"FINE!" Leonardo bellowed. "IF YOU WON"T HELP, ME THEN I"LL DO IT MYSELF! I DON"T CARE WHAT HAPPENS TO ME! AS LONG AS ALICE IS ALIVE! THAT"S THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS!"
Leonardo springs to his feet, turns around runs off. He forgot how much that he was in pain. It didn't matter to him. The only thing that was on his mind was saving Alice, even if it killed him.

"Come on girl, take it off!" Said one of Vask crew members
"Yeah show us some skin!" Screamed another
Alice was standing in the middle of the room. The whole gang was standing in the middle of the room with mischievous looks on their faces.
Alice stood there, shivering and scared.
"You might as well take it off…unless you want us to force you to take it off." Vask said opening his flask and taking a gulp of his alcohol.
Alice flinched at Vask words. Tears started to stream down from her eyes.
"I see…" Vask said glaring at her. "Boy's…go wild."
Everyone got smirked walked towards Alice. Alice let out a scream backed up against the wall.
"VAASSK!" Leonardo screamed from the top of his lungs.
Everyone turned around towards the double doors. Vask let out an annoyed sigh. "Him again?" he said setting his flask on the table.
"Jeez he really doesn't give up doesn't he?" Patrick groaned
Alice turned towards the door "Leo…" she whispered
Vask and his gang went outside. Leonard was standing there, panting and glaring at Vask. Vask rubs his head in frustration.
"You're starting to annoy me kid." Vask said picking up his axe.
"Let. Alice. Go!" Leonardo said through his pants. "NOW!"
"Come and get her…" Vask said leaning on the wall "If you really want this girl that bad."
Leonardo rushed forward. Patrick stepped forward, standing in Leonardo's way. Leonardo throws a punch but winces. The injuries that he sustained with his ribs and his arms were getting worse.
Patrick easily kicks Leonardo in the stomach knocking him to the ground.
"ARGH!" Leonardo groaned holding his stomach. Patrick walked over to Leonardo and starts stomping on him over and over.
"Stupid. Annoying, little bastard! Know your damn place!" Patrick said as he stomped on Leonardo relentlessly
Leonardo lied there. He started slowly losing consciousness. Patrick stopped. He turned to look at Vask.
"What should we do with him? I'm pretty sure he won't stop coming after us." He asked
"Hmmm…" Vask started thinking. He looks over at Alice "What do you think little girl?"
Alice stood there crying and sniffling "Please…just let him go…" she begged
"Let him go? Sorry but we can't do that. If he's alive he'll just keep coming after us. And frankly, I'm getting sick of him…"
"I…I'm going to die…" Leonardo thought "I can't die here…I just can't…if I die here…Alice will…her whole life will be over…Damn it…Damn it...DAMN IT!" Leonardo shuts his eyes tears glided downward
Leonardo heard the sound of a small object landing on the ground next to him. He opens his eyes, seeing a black ring with green lines all around it.
"A ring?" Leonardo thought.
"Put the ring on if you want to live…"
"That voice…is that you Saravati?" Leonardo whispered. Leonardo wasted no time. He picks up the ring and places it around his finger.
As soon as he placed the ring around his finger, a flash of green light formed around Leonardo's entire body. A small shockwave blew back Patrick, knocking him to the ground.
"Use this power well…Leonardo. I made this power…especially for you. With this power...manipulate the power of speed to your liking. Run at the speed that no one could ever match… "
The smoke cleared. Leonardo gets to his feet. Green aura was resonating around his body.
Leonardo's entire clothing had changed. He was now wearing a grey coat with a grey skin tight suit, with green gloves and green boots.
"Thank you…Saravati …" Leonardo said. He gets to his feet and turns toward Patrick and glared at him. His eyes were bright green
"This. flow of energy...its incredible..." Leonardo thought. He looked down at his hands "But at the same time…I feel…stronger. Use the power of speed…that no man could ever match?"
"What the hell happened to him?" Patrick said confused
"What the hell are you doing?! Hurry up and kill him!" Vask ordered.
"Right!" Patrick said taking out a knife from his pocket. But when looked over at Leonardo, he was gone. "Where the hell did h-"
Patrick let out a loud groan of pain as he felt his stomach cave in. Blood coughed up from his mouth and he was sent flying back into Vask home.
"What…what the hell just happened?" Vask said looking at the whole in the wall that Patrick was sent through.
"It's over…" Leonardo said fiercely. "All the terror…all the pain…all the suffering that you caused my town…caused everyone who lived here…IT ALL ENDS TODAY! VASK!"
"YOU LITTLE SHIT! GET HIM! EVERYONE GO KILL HIM RIGHT NOW!" Vask demanded
Leonardo just stood there. He watched as Philip and the entirety of Vask's gang charged at him. To Leonardo, their movements were slow, and easy to read. Leonardo knew with confidence that he could take them all down without a single issue.
With one stepped he dashed forward into group. He had already taken out three of Vask's crew members, including Phillip within seconds. One of the thugs swung a bat at Leonardo, but to Leonardo, the back was coming at him in very slow rate. He dodges the bat, forms a fist and punches the thug straight in the mouth knocking out the thug's teeth and sending him flying into the air.
Leonardo grabs the bat, grips it tightly, and swings it toward the remaining crew members. The bat shattered into wooden pieces by the impact of Leonardo's swings.
Vask eyes widen. He didn't see how Leonardo took down his entire gang at all. Leonardo turns his attention to Vask. Vask flinches in fear, and grabs Alice by her hair and pulls out a knife placing it near her neck.
"COME ANY CLOSER AND I"LL SLIT HER THROAT!" Vask bellowed.
The second Vask blinked. Leonardo was already in front of him. Leonardo had his fingers around the blade that Vask was holding. Leonardo squeezes the knife. Break the knife into small little pieces.
Vask let go of Alice and backed up against the door. Leonardo glared at Vask with his bright green eyes. Vask reached out to try and grab his axe, but was punched straight in the face, his teeth was knocked out of his mouth and he was sent flying straight through his home.
"That…felt really good…" Leonardo said looking at his fist.
"L-Leo…" Alice whispered.
Leonardo looked down at Alice.
"Alice!" Leonardo said as he gently helps her up. "Are you ok? Did they hurt you?!"
"I'm fine I'm fine…they didn't really do much..." Alice said holding Leonardo's hands. She stared into his eyes, noticing that his eyes changed color "Leonardo…your eyes…"
"What?" Leonardo said confused "My eyes?"
"They're…green…"
"That is the side effect of the speed ring." Said Saravati walking up to the two of them
"Saravati…" Leonardo said looking over at her.
"You have a good man." Saravait said looking over at Alice. "You're a lucky women Alice. You should be proud."
Alice looks at Leonardo and blushes.
"Leonardo. From here on out, with this ring you'll be able to protect everyone you care about. Like I told you earlier, with that ring, you are faster then everything on this planet. You can manipulate speed to your liking." Saravati explained
"Manipulate speed?" Leonardo repeated "Like I did earlier? I felt so light…"
Saravati nods "Yup…that's the power of the speed ring. Of course, I had to ask for a few favors in order to make that ring. But in the end, it was worth it." She said with a smile.
"Saravati…thank you…thank you for helping me…if it wasn't for you…"
"It was nothing." Saravati "I'm just glad to know…that people like you exist." Saravati said smiling at him. "Oh…and one more thing, that ring does more than change your appearance. As you can see by the color of your eyes, you, and only you can use that ring, nobody else. The inheritor of the green eyes will be the next person to hold the power of the speed ring. And with that, good luck Leonardo." Saravati said turning around and walking off. "Take care…Leonardo…" Saravati walked off into distance, disappearing in the darkness.
Leonardo was the first to use the family speed. Given to him by a witch named Saravati. Leonardo protected his town from all dangers that came by. This story was also told to his first son, Angelo, who became the second owner of the family ring. The ring was passed down through everyone's children. And that is the story of the first user of the family ring.

"Grandma that story was amazing!" Ronnie said with a big smile on her face.
Rosetta smiled "I'm glad you enjoyed it Veronica." He wraps her arms around her granddaughter and held her close "Soon Veronica…you'll be the next owner of the ring."
"Yeah!" Ronnie said with her eyes glimmered with excitement
Rosetta smiled at Ronnie "She's going to be an excellent hero…" She said in her head. "Her kindness, her charisma…and most of all, her potential…"
Rosetta brought Ronnie into soft hug
"I can't wait…to teach you…Veronica…"

11/4/2017 I hope this chapter wasn't to overwhelming for you guys. I know there was a lot to read in this chapter but I pretty much didn't want to carry the back story of the family speed ring over to chapter 65. Personally if I did I would feel as though I would be dragging on the flash back to long. But I'm just glad that I finally got the chapter out! Not to mention that this is the month that EL Tigre the new adventures was first posted! Well, cya all in the next one! Stay golden!
