El Tigre the new adventures Season 2 Episode 49 – Why didn't you save me?

"Jeez…can't I catch a damn break…" Marcus said annoyed. The only time Marcus ever had any rest was when he woke up this morning and ate breakfast. El oso stood in front of him holding a car over his head.

"THE DAY IS THE DAY MAN! I'M ENDING YOU NOW!" El oso roared

"Do you know how long you've been saying that?" Marcus said unconcerned

El oso slams the car down violently where Marcus was. El oso lifts the car up from the ground only to see Marcus's body was not there. El oso blinked a couple of times and looked around the area trying to find Marcus.

"Whose car was that anyway?" Marcus asked sitting on the left shoulder of El oso.

"HUH?" El Oso looked at Marcus.

Marcus elbowed El oso in the face, then wraps his arms around El oso's neck and drives his head into the ground. Marcus hops to his feet and stretches.

"Well that takes care of that." Marcus said turning to El oso who was lying on the ground "Seriously why do you even bother?"

"So you must be feeling better."

Marcus looked forward, and Ryumaru was standing there smiling at him. He was carrying something in hands wrapped in a red cloth.

"Yeah I'm doing fine. I honestly should've stayed inside my house if I knew I would be dealing with petty villains." Said Marcus

"You were never one who liked doing much hero work at all." Ryumaru said with a chuckle.

"Not really…" Marcus replied with a shrug.

Ryumaru tossed the object that was wrapped in a red cloth over to Marcus. Marcus caught the object. He knew immediately what it was. "Is this my?" He said un-wrapping the object. It was Marcus's katana. "I…didn't even think about it honestly. It wasn't even on my mind."

"I also had the sword repaired and buffed. It looked pretty worn out. I'm surprised that the sword held up as long as it did."

"You're telling me. I'm even surprised myself that it hasn't broken yet." Marcus said unsheathing the sword and examined the blade. He was in awe at how the steel looked. The blade shined brightly. He could see his reflection in the steel.

"That's a fine blade you have their Marcus. I'm assuming that your master gave it to you?" Ryumaru asked.

"Yeah he did. It was actually his original sword he passed down to me." Said Marcus placing the sword back into the scabbard

"What was your master's name?"

"Matsuma Kiyogi."

Ryumaru paused for a moment. "Matsuma…Kiyogi?"

"Yeah," Marcus nods

"He's the only and last successor to the Hovern-Govern sword style…" Ryumaru said sounding completely shocked.

Marcus thought for a second "Yeah he did tell me that when he started training me."

"How did you meet him? And how in the world did you get him to teach you?!"

Marcus looked at his sword. "I…didn't convince him to do anything. It just happened…" He said remembering when he first met Matsuma.

"I'm sorry if I'm bringing up anything bad or…"

"No you aren't. Thanks again for getting my sword repaired. I really do appreciate it." Marcus said with a smile.

"No problem Marcus." Ryumaru said nodding and smiling.

"I'm starving. I'm going to go find something to eat." Marcus said turning around walking off "Later."

Ryumaru watched as Marcus walked off. Ryumaru was very curious about Marcus's past. The way Marcus is, at such a young age he's seems like a person who is holding such a large burden on him. But then again prying on Marcus's personal life was something Ryumaru didn't want to do. Then Ryumaru left off.

In the distance somebody was watching Marcus. Watching as he walked off staring at his newly repaired Katana. The girl tossed a combat knife in the air and catches it in her hands by the hilt.

"So…this is where you've been hiding…" The girl said leaning up against a wall in the ally. She turned her head to the direction Marcus was walking. "You look so carefree…don't worry…that'll change real soon…Marcus Dupree…" She said as she placed her combat knife in the holder. "Just you wait…"

Later on the day after Marcus was starting to get bored. The rest of the group was still in the hospital recovering from their injuries. Marcus didn't know where Frida was at all. Marcus had spent the rest of the day wondering around the streets of Miracle city, just like he usually did when he was either bored or didn't want to stay in his apartment all day. Marcus walked over to a nearby bench and sat down. He looked up at the sky and let out a yawn. But then, out of nowhere he started to think about his master Matsuma. It has been so long since he thought about him, he wondered what he was up to, how he was doing, and most importantly if he was still alive or not. His master Matsuma wasn't relatively old but he looked to be at least In his early or late 40s. He remembered him being very strict but at the same time kind and caring. After thinking about his master he thought about them…the team he worked with during his time as the devil child.

"Marcus."

He began to think about his home town and everything that happened. He thought about-

"Boop," Frida said poking Marcus on the nose.

"Huh?" Said Marcus as he looked forward seeing Frida standing in front of him. "Sup!"

"Oh hey Frida, where'd you come from?" Marcus asked

"I was just going to run to the store to pick up some things. Want to come?" Frida asked happily.

"Sure, I was looking for something to do anyway." Marcus said getting up from the bench and stretching.

"Psh…don't you usually want to do nothing?" Frida asked giggling.

"Yeah that's true. But then there are times where I do want to do something when I don't have anything to do. Then I get bored of doing that." Marcus explained

"You're unbelievable." Frida said shaking her head and smiling.

The two of them had walked down the sidewalk heading to the store. Through the whole walk Marcus couldn't shake this feeling of being watched. Marcus stopped walking and placed his hands around his Katana. Frida looked at Marcus and then looked around the area.

"What is it?" Frida asked

"I'm getting this strange feeling. Just stay close and stay on guard…" Marcus said

"Right," Frida said nodding.

Through the whole time that Frida and Marcus were together nothing out of the ordinary happened. Nobody showed up and nobody attacked them. But just because of that, Marcus didn't let his guard down and neither did Frida. Frida mostly relied on Marcus's senses and observation to know when somebody is coming. But all the way to evening time nobody showed up. Frida and Marcus had just left the movie theater. Marcus did a couple of stretches and let out a big yawn.

"Was the movie that boring?" Frida asked with a smile.

"Nah it was pretty good." Marcus replied.

"Still sense anybody?"

Marcus looked around. He still had that feeling lingering around him. Either the person Marcus thought was following was still around somewhere. Or Marcus was just being paranoid. Marcus was still on edge after what happened with Tetsuo.

"I honestly don't know at this point." Marcus said rubbing his head "Hey, I'm going to go ahead and walk you home."

"You don't have to Marcus." Said Frida

"No way Frida I'm not taking any chances." Marcus said in a serious tone.

"Alright alright, "

Marcus had walked Frida all the way to her home, keeping his defenses and senses up to an all high. Throughout that entire walk, yet again nobody showed up at all. Marcus was beginning to think that he was probably being paranoid. The two of them had arrived at Frida's home, and Marcus walked her up to the doorstep.

"Heh, it feels like we just got back from a date." Marcus said with a smile.

"Tch, you wish it was a date." Frida smirked "Thanks for walking me home though."

"It was no problem." Marcus said as he looked around. He sighs and rubs the back of his head "Man I guess I was just being paranoid."

"It's understandable." Frida responded "Well, thanks again Mark. I'll see you tomorrow."

"Later." Marcus said as he walked off.

Frida unlocks the front door to her home and steps in. "I'm home!" She called out. Nobody answered. Frida wasn't use to getting home so early. She was use to hanging out all day with the group that she would always arrive home around 8 or 9pm. "Well…looks like I got the house to myself for now." Frida stretches and she heads up the stairs to her room. She opens the door and walks in. She places her house key on the counter and looks out the window of her room. Frida then suddenly realized something. Where were the house dogs?

Before Frida had anytime to form another thought, a hand suddenly covered her mouth and she felt a cold sharp blade touch her neck.

"Scream and you die, make any sudden movements and you die." A cold, fierce feminine voice said.

Frida's eyes were widened. She could see the girl in the reflection of the window mirror. Her eyes were yellow, her hair was bright red, and she scales all around her face and hands. Frida shivered in fear, her heart was racing and she was starting to sweat. Who was this person? Frida thought. Was this the person that Marcus was sensing all day?

"You have a job to do blue haired girl. And you're going to help with it…" She said placing the blade even closer to her neck.

Frida winces as the blade slightly cuts her neck.

"He's going to know what it feels like to lose everything…I'll make him suffer…I'll make him suffer just as he made me suffer my whole life!" She moves her hand and the knife away from Frida and whacks her on the back of her head knocking her out cold. She removes Frida red goggles from her head. "That's right…you'll know my pain Marcus Dupree…"

It was around 10:30pm. Marcus was lying in his bed staring at his newly repaired sword. Marcus couldn't help but admire how well the blacksmith repaired his sword. He didn't even know Miracle city had one. Marcus then went back to thinking about that strange presence that he was feeling the whole day when he was hanging out with Frida. Marcus couldn't call and check on her because he didn't have a phone anywhere in his house.

"Shit I need to get a phone…" Marcus thought. "I could just go to her house and just check on her at her house I guess…"

A sound of an object suddenly hit against Marcus's front door that made him jump slightly. He gets up from his bed and walks over to his front door and opens it. He looks down, and his eyes slightly widened. It was Frida's goggles. He slowly reaches down and picks up her goggles. There was a piece of paper tapped to the right lens of her goggles and he tears it off and opens the paper.

"Come to the abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of Miracle city alone…if you come with anyone else…I will kill her. Do as I say…if you value her life…"

Marcus clenches the paper in his hand. "Frida…" He whispered "Damn it…how could I let this happen?"

Rage and Guilt started to build up in Marcus. His senses were right but he let his guard down. And now Frida was in danger. She's in the hands of some random villain. But who was it? It couldn't be Tetsuo. Could it be El oso? Could it be The Titanium Titan? Marcus and burned the piece of paper in his hand and walked back into his apartment to grab his sword. He locks up his apartment and heads to the outskirts of Miracle city.

It was all a blur for Frida Suarez. The second she came to the back of her head was throbbing and her vision was blurry. When she tried to reach for her head she noticed that her arms and legs were both tied up. Another thing that she noticed is that she was covered in head to toe in a liquid that smelled like gasoline.

"W-Where am I?" Frida whispered. Her vision started to clear. She looked around and noticed that she was in middle of what looked like a spacious living room. Frida had been in this place before. It was the time a huge party was thrown here at one point and was crashed by the mustache mafia.

Frida heard footsteps coming from the front entrance of the room. Frida looked forward. She saw a girl walk towards her carrying a gasoline jug with long red fiery hair wearing camouflage pants and army boots. Her skin was scaly almost looking like a snake. Her eyes were bright brown, and her pupils looked exactly like a snakes.

"W-w-who are you?" Frida asked breathlessly

The girl stayed quiet. She walked over to Frida and emptied gasoline onto Frida. Frida coughed and sputtered. She began to panic.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Frida shouted frantically "WHO ARE YOU?! WHY'RE YOU DOING THIS?"

The girl just started at her, staring at Frida's panicked expression. She let out a small chuckle. "That's funny…" She said. Her voice was low, but feminine. "I had that same look of fear on my face…"

"You didn't answer my question! Who are you?!" Frida shouted once more.

"Somebody who wants justice…" The girl replied "Don't worry…I'm going to harm you in anyway." She giggled "Well…I'M not going to be the one responsible…"

Frida looked at her confused. What did she mean she wasn't going to be responsible? Was someone else involved in this? Who could have it out for her like this? Was Zoe Aves also involved in this? Would she go so far as to kill Frida?

The sound of someone kicking the door in could be heard coming from the entrance of the abandoned house. The girl turned towards the entrance, she quickly disappeared into the shadows.

"FRIDA!" Marcus roared at the top of his lungs.

"MARCUS!" Frida called out to him.

Marcus followed the sound of her voice and found himself arriving into the large living room of the abandoned house. Once Marcus stepped into the room, the smell of gasoline lingered around his nose.

"Gasoline?" Marcus whispered

"That's right…" The girl with the fiery red hair said as she slowly walked out of the shadows "I'm actually pretty surprised that you came…"

Marcus looked forward behind Frida. He eyed down the girl with the long red hair, scaled skin and mechanical eyes. Marcus placed his hands around the handle of his katana and glared at her.

"You don't know how long I've been waiting for this…" She said as her voice began to tremble. "You don't know how long I've waited just to make you suffer…"

"Who the hell are you?!" Marcus said aggressively

"I don't expect you to remember me…not how I look now…." She said sadly. "I didn't use to look like this." She said looking at her arm. "You're the one who caused me to look like this…" Her hands began to tremble.

"What? I don't even know who the hell you are!" Marcus said completely confused

"It's all because of you…3 years ago…you and your reckless use of your damn fire…that I became this!" The girl said sounding as if she was on the verge of tears.

"I don-"But then it all started to come back to Marcus. 3 years ago? It was three years ago that Marcus fought against a villain that held a girl hostage. Marcus did defeat the villain but…the girl. Marcus looked at the girl once more…her name…her name was…

"Kyoko…Akaname…" Marcus said slowly.

It all started coming back to him

[Flashback]

I didn't think too much about it at the time. All I knew was this random villain kidnapped this girl off the street and held her hostage is this abandoned building. Cops surrounded the building and were ready to go in. But the villain who kidnapped her threatened to poison the girl if they did. She didn't have any demands...she was crazy and twisted, so I decided to try and help since I had been chasing down this women for awhile now.

Marcus snuck around the back of the building. He went over to the back door of the building and picked the lock. He unlocks the door slowly closes it behind him. On the right side were stairs that lead all the way up to different floors of the abandoned buildings. The villain who had the hostage captive was on the fourth floor. Marcus was quiet as possible. He couldn't allow the villain to know that he was there. Once Marcus got to the fourth and looked forward down the hallway he stopped in his tracks. The entire hallway was filled and barricaded by spider web. Marcus placed his finger on one of the webs. The webs felt so thick that it would take large shears to cut through them.

"Oh great…do I have to fight I giant spider?" Marcus said to himself. He shuddered at the thought of facing a giant hairy eight legged spider. He took a deep breath and held out his hand. "Ok…let's get through this…" He took another deep breath. Heat was starting to form around Marcus's hand.

Then, a stream of fire shoots out from Marcus hand. The intense fire burned down the thick webbing that was blocking the path for Marcus. Once the path was clear Marcus slowly walked down the hallway.

On the left of the hallway was an opened door. The lights from the swat team were shinning through the entrance. Marcus kept his back against the wall and slid slowly over to the entrance. In the room, Kyoko sat in the chair unconscious. She was tied up in the spider web.

"Wait…but where's…" Marcus whispered

"Well…are you a sneaky little boy…" A soft, gentle voice said behind Marcus.

Marcus turned around and looked up. A women with dirty messy long black hair, but with a beautiful attractive face stared at Marcus. She had bags under her eyes, a mole on the lower left side her mouth. Her eyes looked cold, but ruthless and unforgiving.

Before Marcus could say anything a long and hairy spider leg struck Marcus in the stomach and sent him flying into the room where Kyoko was. Marcus slowly lied up and looked forward. His eyes widened in horror as the beautiful women crawled forward. The whole lower half of her body was nothing but spider.

The spider women licked her lips looking at Marcus with lust in her eyes.

"Mmmmm…you look so delicious…" Arachna said with a big smile across her face.

Marcus quickly gets to his feet and just looked at her with horror in his eyes "H-Holy shit!" He shouted in terror.

"I get that a lot…" Arcahna said softly "You'll be the first man I've ever eaten…I'm such a lucky girl…"

Marcus looked over at Kyoko who was still unconscious

"Oh don't worry about her. I'll eat her last…" Arcahna said "Now…let's begin shall we?" Arcahna shoots her web near Marcus.

Marcus rolls to the right avoiding the web. Arcahna opens her mouth and a web net shoots out from her mouth. Marcus holds out his hand and stream of fire burst from his hand incinerating the net.

Marcus leaped forward with his right hand covered in fire. Arcahna simply swiped down to the ground near Kyoko. Marcus let out a groan of pain. Kyoko had come to and she slowly opens her eyes and looks down at Marcus on the ground.

"W-what's going on? Where am I?" Kyoko said in a delirious tone. She raised her head and looked up at Arachna. Kyoko let out a scream pure fear but was quickly shut up when Arachna shoots some web around her mouth.

"Sorry I don't like it when my food is screaming…" Arcahna said.

Once she looked down she was quickly kicked straight in the face by Marcus, and then punched right in the gut. Marcus followed up with a head butt to her jaw. Arcahna looked down in sheer anger and grabs Marcus by the throat and lifted him up in the air and tosses him on the floor with a thud. Arcahna uses her spider legs and rapidly stomps on Marcus. Arcahna stopped her attack and picks Marcus up with her spider arm. Arcahna opens her mouth and sticks out her tongue. Whatever Marcus was about to do he wasn't going to let it happened. He breaks free from Arcahna's grasp. Arcahna spit out a green liquid from her mouth. As it missed Marcus it landed all over Kyoko.

"W-what the hell is this?!" Kyoko cried

Marcus looked up at Arcahna. He knew that he couldn't let this go on any longer. He had to stop her now at all cost. Fire formed around Marcus's hand. He lets out a loud roar and shoots the fireball at Arcahna. Arcahna shoots her web at Kyoko lifting her off the ground along with the chair and using her as a shield.

"NOOO!" Marcus shouted at the top of his lungs.

The fire covered Kyoko's entire body. She let out a blood curtailing scream as the fire burned along with her skin. The green liquid was mixing in along with the melted flesh. Sizzling and crackling. Kyoko fell to ground and continued to scream. Arcahna just looked down at Kyoko and just laughed.

"Nice job cute." Arcahna said with a smirk.

"No…no I…I didn't mean…I didn't mean to…" Marcus said slowly walking forward to Kyoko.

Loud stomping could be heard coming from below. The swat team that was standing outside had rushed in. Arcahna growled at this. "Well…looks like I'll be heading out…to bad…I really wanted to taste you…" She said smirking at Marcus. She turned around and took a right. She busted a whole to the outside and leaped out.

Kyoko looked up at Marcus and held out her hand to him. "H-Help me…HELP ME PLEASE!" she screamed

Marcus just stared at her in horror. He couldn't believe what he had done. He could he had been so careless. He backed away his hands shaking and mind not in the right place. He backed up to the window in the room. He turned around and hopped out of it. Marcus landed on the ground and started running. He didn't know what else to do. He was so shocked at what happened that the only thing he knew what to do was

"Was run…why did I do that? How could I do such a horrible thing? Leaving her there to…suffer…why WHY DID I DO THAT?!"

[End of Flashback]

Marcus looked over at Kyoko. Sorrow and sympathy filled his eyes. He removed his hand away from his Katana and stared at her.

"Kyoko…I…"

Kyoko glared at Marcus. The tears started to fall from her eyes "It hurt to cry..." she began "It hurt so much…for so long I suffered…and I looked like a monster!" She looked at Marcus with her eyes full of tears "Why didn't you save me?"

"I'm…I'm so sorry i…"

"IS THAT ALL YOU CAN SAY?! YOU RUINED MY LIFE!" Kyoko screamed "Now…I'm going to make you suffer…"

"Listen to me! Let Frida go! She has nothing to do with this!" Marcus shouted

"Oh no…she's going to know what it feels like to feel helpless…alone…and full of dread!" Kyoko said with a smirk on her face. Kyoko reached behind her and pulls out a combat knife. "But first…"

Kyoko charged forward. Marcus whips out his Katana and blocks Kyoko's swing. Once the clash was over she continued her attack with a couple quick thrust with her bandit knife. Marcus moves his head to the left and to the right avoiding Kyoko's attack. Kyoko went back to slashing at Marcus. Marcus blocked her slashes with his Katana again, but this time Kyoko does a spinning kick that knocked Marcus back against the wall. Kyoko lunged forward and stabs the combat knife into Marcus's shoulder.

"DAMN IT LEAVE HIM ALONE!" Frida screamed at her.

"I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU! YOU THINK YOU CAN JUST LIVE THIS WONDEFUL LIFE AFTER WHAT YOU DONE?! HOW DARE YOU!" Kyoko said. Her eyes full of hatred.

"N-No! I don't!" Marcus replied through the pain

"DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT I WENT THROUGH?! BEING JUDGED AND LOOKED AT LIKE A MONSTER BY EVERYONE?! EVEN MY OWN FAMILY COULDN'T STAND ME!"

"Kyoko…" Marcus whispered "I can't take back what happened that day! But I just can't l sit here and let you hurt Frida!" Marcus pushed Kyoko back with his all his strength knocking her to the ground. But Kyoko quickly hopped back to her feet.

Kyoko tosses away the combat knife and reaches into one of the pockets of her camouflage pants and pulls out the handle of what looks like hilt of a blade. She swings it toward Marcus. Marcus gives one big swing towards Kyoko's blade causing her to stagger back.

"Damn it!" Kyoko charged forward and swings her sword back at him. Marcus swung with all his might at Kyoko's sword. That one powerful slash cut Kyoko's sword in half and then he kicks her to the ground.

Kyoko was about to get to her feet but Marcus held the tip of his sword near her neck.

"Be realistic about this…" Marcus said in a serious tone. "You can't beat me in a sword fight…or any normal fight, stay down…"

Kyoko lets out a psychotic laugh "Of course I know that… I can't beat you, you demon…" She said with a smirk "But If I can't beat you…I'll just make sure none of us live…"

Kyoko reach into her pocket and pulls out a flip lighter, she laughed as she tossed the lighter onto the floor behind her. And within seconds a roaring fire had appeared. It spread all the way up from the floor and to the walls. Kyoko laughed like a madman as the fire was spreading all across the room. The fire was rushing over towards Frida and she closed her eyes in fear.

But Kyoko's quickly stopped the laughing. The fire that was spreading around the room looked as if it was being drawn towards something. Kyoko looked over at Marcus. Marcus had his hand held out. All the fire that was in the room was being formed into one big orb onto Marcus's hand. And just like that. All the fire that was in the room was in one big orb in Marcus's hand.

"N-No…how did…I thought that…"

Marcus looked at the orb of fire in his hand "I never forgot what happened to you Kyoko. I never lived it down. I couldn't believe how careless I'd gotten when I used my fire. There's nothing that I can say that will ever change how you feel about me. All I can say to you…is that from the bottom of my heart…is that I'm sorry. I'm not going to blame Arachna…I only have myself to blame." Marcus absorbed the fire orb into his body.

"I can never…take back what I did to you." Marcus said looking over at Kyoko "Like you said…" He looks over at Frida who was lying on the ground unconscious after Kyoko slammed her into the wall "I don't deserve…any kindness that's brought to me…but I just can't let you hurt anyone Kyoko…"

Kyoko stared at Marcus. She stared into his eyes. "I spent a long time chasing after you. I hated you for so long. But when I really…look at you…I just…I just can't hate you…I want to…but I can't…"

Marcus watched as the tears started to fall from Kyoko's eyes. Marcus walked over to Frida and cuts the ropes off of Frida. Frida just stared over at Kyoko and looked over at Marcus.

Marcus looked at Frida "L-Let's get out of here.."

The three of them had left the abandoned hide out. Marcus stared at Kyoko, and Kyoko stared back at Marcus. The two of them didn't know what to say to each other. But, Kyoko would break the silence.

"You don't have to worry about me coming after you. I'm…I'm done with that…" Kyoko said softly. She turned away from Marcus and hops on her motorcycle.

"Kyoko…" Marcus said quickly.

She turned to Marcus "You don't have to say anything…you said all you needed to me. I pegged you as the reason for how my life has been for the past few years but…I chose this path…and now I'm going to try and fix it." She started up her motorcycle and placed her helmet on her head. "Goodbye…Marcus." And with that, Kyoko rode off.

"Well…" Frida said watching as she disappeared in the distance. "That's…that I guess…" She looked over at Marcus. Marcus was staring down at the ground. "Marcus?"

"Huh?" Marcus said looking over at Frida "Oh…sorry…"

"Why was she so desperate to get back at you?" Frida asked

Marcus informed her on everything that happened. To why Kyoko wanted to get revenge on him.

"T-that wasn't your fault! I mean…s-she shouldn't have blamed you fo-" Frida said till Marcus had cut her off.

"It was my fault…there's no sugar coating it Frida." Marcus said. He sighed and rubs his head "Frida…for a long time no I've done nothing but make mistakes. To this day I'm still making up for stuff that I messed up on…and things that I did…"

"Marcus…" Frida whispered

"Manny and the others were hurt because of me…and you were put in danger because of my wrong doings..." Marcus clenches his fist. "I can't allow this to happen again! I can't go through losing people again! I just can-"

Frida steps in front of Marcus and wraps her arms around him, pulling him into a hug. She buried her face into his chest.

"Marcus…please…just please stop…" Frida whispered.

"F-Frida…"

"Stop making yourself suffer so much…don't you understand that no matter what happens we'll always have each other's backs? Me, Manny, Ronnie, Carmen and Johnny, we're all here for each other no matter what. You don't have to do everything on your own…stop doing this to yourself…please…"

Marcus looked down at Frida and placed his hands softly around her back. She was right, Marcus thought. The more he would put himself in danger while trying to do to so much by himself the more the people who care about him would suffer. Marcus didn't think about that at all.

"I'm sorry Frida…" Marcus whispered to her

Frida looked up at Marcus with tears in her eyes "Just…don't do anything stupid ok?" She said as she wiped her eyes.

Marcus smiled at her "I won't…I promise."

"Good." Frida said nodding "Now let's get out of here-HEY WAIT!" Frida felt around her head "WHERE ARE MY GOGGLES?!"

"Oh those are back at my place. Kyoko tossed them against my door an-"

"SHE DID WHAT?! ARE THEY OK?! IS ANYTHING BROKEN?!" Frida said grabbing Marcus by the collar of his shirt

"CHILL THEY'RE OK!" Marcus said chuckling

"TAKE ME TO MY GOGGLES!"

"OK OK!"

"DON'T WORRY GOGGLES! MAMA'S COMING!" Frida screamed at the top of his lungs.

Marcus couldn't help but laugh silently. Marcus smiled at Frida and began to think. She was right. He shouldn't put himself in harm's way and worry so much. He has people who care about him and are willing to be there for him.

That's something no one should ever forget

To be continued
