El Tigre the New Adventures Season 2 Episode 50 – Celebration
The hot summer of June had finally arrived in Miracle city. The heat of course was nothing new to the citizens since it was pretty much always heavily hot. Marcus lied in bed staring up at the ceiling of his room. He looked around his apartment. He couldn't help but agree with Frida sometimes, her saying that his apartment was extremely gloomy and had hardly any lights. Marcus did have plenty of lights in his apartment but he'd never really turn them on. Usually when he arrives back home he would just do nothing but sleep. That or just lie in bed and stare up at the ceiling. Marcus's thought's then would then shift over to back home. How everyone was doing, or what was going on. Marcus sighed and rises up from his bed and looks out the window. Seeing kids run by kicking the ball back at one another. Marcus smiled at the sight, seeing the children laugh and having fun. Marcus gets out of bed, stretches and then heads into the kitchen to fix himself a snack. He opens the fridge, only to see that a can of cola was the only thing in there.
"You got to be kidding me…" Said Marcus with a sigh
He closes the refrigerator and walks over to the cabinet and opens them. Empty. Marcus closes the cabinet and sits down at the kitchen table. "How the hell do I not have any food?!" he said aggravated. Marcus leaned back on the chair and thought for a moment. "Actually I don't think I've ever gotten food for this place. I've always gone out to eat…or out on missions." Marcus gets up from the chair and heads into the bathroom to freshen up.
"HEEY MARCUS, ARE YOU AWAKE?! IF NOT THEN GET UP YOU LAZY BUM!" Frida called out to him while knocking on the door.
"Hmm, that's Frida." Marcus said stepping out the bathroom. He heads to the front door and opens it, Frida stood there with a smile on her face and she waves at Frida.
"Apartment is gloomy as usual." Frida said peeking inside.
"And I have no food either sadly." Marcus added in
"Don't you shop at all?" Frida said stepping into Marcus's apartment.
"I never really thought about doing any of that." Said Marcus closing the front door
"How do you not think about getting groceries? You must go to bed starving." Frida said stepping into the Kitchen and looking around to see if he really didn't have any food "Wow you weren't kidding, you really are out of food!"
"Well I always go out to eat or I never have the chance to eat anything. I usually just say forget it and just sleep." Marcus explained.
"You're hopeless…."
"Did you come here just to nag at me for no reason?" asked Marcus.
"I came here to tell you that Manny and the others are finally getting out of the hospital!" Frida said excited
Marcus looked at her surprised "Seriously? It's about time!" He said with a smile.
"I was coming here to pick you up so we can go meet up with them!" Frida said heading over to the front door "Hurry and get dressed!"
"Right Right, I'll be out soon!" Marcus said nodding and heading to his room to get dressed.
"AND JEEZ TURN ON SOME LIGHT'S OR SOMETHING!" Frida giggled heading outside to wait for Marcus.
After a couple of minutes Marcus walked outside. Frida looked over at him and she gasped. Marcus was wearing a plain white shirt with blue jeans and grey running shoes.
Marcus blinked at her confused "What?" He asked
"Y-You're not wearing black…" Frida completely dumbfounded
"Oh yeah…" Marcus said looking down at his clothing "I would but…honestly now it's kind of too hot for that."
Frida giggles "What's wrong big boy can't handle the heat?" She teased
"Can we please go now?" Marcus groaned and rolled his eyes.
…
"WOOOOOHOOOOO!" shouted Manny from the top of his lungs "FREEEEEDOOOOOM!"
"AHAHAH YEAH!" Ronnie said jumping up and down with excitement
"Oh my god I can't believe we're finally out of there!" Carmen takes a deep breath and exhales "Ahhhh that fresh beautiful air!"
"I can't wait to get home and sleep on a good bed…" Johnny said popping his neck and back "Honestly I need to go out and get my muscles moving again."
"No you won't Johnny. You heard what the doctor said! Don't do anything that would stress your body out!" Carmen said waving her finger at him.
"UGH! Yes mooom!" Said Johnny letting out a sigh
Manny and Ronnie chuckled at the Johnny and Carmen. From behind the four of them, they could hear someone call out their names. Manny turned around seeing Frida and Marcus walk over to them.
"GUYS!" Frida called out to them.
"FRIDA!" Ronnie and Carmen said running over to Frida and hugging her.
"OOOH FRIDA WE'RE FINALLY FREE FROM THE EVIL HOSPITAL!" Ronnie cried wrapping her arms around her neck
"I COULDN'T STAND THE HOSPITAL FOOD ANY LONGER!" Carmen cried as well hugging both Frida and Ronnie.
Frida couldn't help but break out into a short laugh "Aww you two, it's so good to see you're all better." She said smiling at them.
"So how was everything when we were out? Must have been pretty boring huh?" Manny asked
"Nah, I spent a lot of time with Marcus!" Frida replied "It was actually pretty fun!"
"Huh?!" Manny and Johnny said in unison.
Marcus chuckles and walks over to Manny placing his hand on his shoulder "Don't worry Manny…I've been taking very good care of Frida."
Frida covered her mouth trying to contain her laughter.
"WAIT WHAT?!" Manny said looking between both Frida and Marcus.
Frida and Marcus busted out into loud laughter while Manny blushed and crossed his arms looking embarrassed.
"See Frida, I told you he would act like that." Marcus said patting Manny on the back gently.
"Aww Manny ya jealous?" Carmen said nudging him on the shoulder.
"I think he is." Ronnie said poking his cheek.
"Yeah yeah go ahead and pick on the guy who just got out the hospital with sever wounds." Said Manny pouting
Marcus looked over at Johnny was just standing there staring at him. "What're you looking at buckwheat?" He said raising an eyebrow
"There's something different about you…" Johnny pointed out "But I can't put my finger on it…I mean you're still uglier than usual but…"
"Yeah now that he mentions it…" Manny said staring over at Marcus "Did you get a haircut…"
Marcus just stood there with an aggravated expression on his face.
"A nose job?" Johnny said
"Plastic Surgery?" Manny said
"Do you two wanna be put back into the hospital?" Marcus growled
"Whoa Marcus…you have other clothes besides black?" Carmen said shocked "Dang, I always thought you only liked black clothes…"
"He actually looks brighter now!" Ronnie said in awe.
"I can't stand you guys sometimes you know that?" Marcus said rubbing his forehead.
"We love you too Marcus!" Manny said chuckling
"So what should we do now that we're all back together?" Ronnie asked
"PIZZA!" Ronnie said with a big smile on her face.
"I knew you were going to say that." Manny said snickering
"I'm actually going to head to the store and pick up some food." Marcus said "I need to find some stuff to cook tonight, do you guys want to come?"
"You cook?" Johnny couldn't help but chuckle at Marcus. "How many times you almost burned your apartment down I wonder?"
"You're not the only one who can cook!" Marcus said glaring at Johnny.
"I bet you can't even boil an egg!" Johnny continued to tease
"THE HELL YOU SAY? I CAN TO BOIL AN EGG!" Marcus shouted grabbing Johnny by the collar of his shirt.
"HA! THE ONLY THING YOU CAN DO IS BOIL WATER!"
"BOILING WATER IS IMPORTANT FOR RAMEN NOODLES!" Marcus screamed at Johnny.
"Actually we'll all go!" Frida said smiling "Let's celebrate all you guys getting out of the hospital!
"That sounds fun! Like a welcome back party!" Ronnie said joyfully while jumping up and down excited
"I'm down for that!" Manny said delighted
"HECK YEAH LET'S HAVE TEN CAKES AT THE PARTY!" Carmen said shooting her hand in the air.
"I think that's a bit much…" Frida said giggling
"FOUR HUNDRED CAKES!" Ronnie screamed
"Let's just have one!" Frida shouted while breaking into laughter.

After the others broke apart Marcus and Johnny's little squabble, the group had arrived at the Miracle city supermarket. Manny, Frida, Ronnie and Carmen looked around at the ceiling of the supermarket to see which section had all the sweets.
"AILSLE FIVE!" Ronnie said pointing to the left and running over to Aisle five.
"Sweet chocolate here we come!" Carmen said thrilled following Ronnie.
"Hey Manny while we're here, how's your tuna stock doing?" Marcus said with a grin.
"I don't even like tuna!" Manny told Marcus with annoyance in his tone. "Anyway what are you going to pick up?" Manny asked
Marcus started to think "I-I'm not really sure." He replied "I guess…fish, soup…uhhh…and some tea I guess."
"Jeez your choices are so boring…" Johnny said shaking his head in disappointment
"How have you not starved to death?" Frida asked perplexed
"Oh shut it! All you of you! I'm not much of a heavy eater!" Marcus said crossing his arms and looking away from them.
"Alright come on," Johnny said grabbing Marcus by his arm and pulling him along "Let's go see where your taste buds lie."
"Hey you don't need to drag me!" Marcus yelled at Johnny
Manny and Frida just watched Johnny drag Marcus away.
"I swear they do act so much alike at times…" Frida said to Manny.
"I know right?" Manny said agreeing with Frida.
"Hey, let's go pick out some cereal!" Frida said smiling at Manny.
"HECK YEAH, WE'RE DEFINETLY GETTING COCO PUFFS!" Manny said with a smirk.
Meanwhile Carmen was stuffing the buggy full of nothing but sweets, cake icing, cake mix and sodas. Ronnie was sitting inside the buggy giggling at how she was getting buried by all the sweets.
"THIS IS HOW I WANT TO BE BURIED!" Ronnie said laughing.
"What else should we pick up? I think we just about have whole shelves in the buggy." Carmen asked
Ronnie placed her index finger on her chin and started to think. A light bulb appeared above her head. "CHIPS! ALLLL THE CHIPS!"
"YOU'RE A GENIUS RONNIE!" Carmen said grinning from ear to ear.
"TO CHIP AISLE!" Ronnie said sounding like a queen giving her subjects an order.
Carmen began to push the buggy. She started to struggle as the buggy barely moved. "Oh man its way too heavy!" She said panting.
"HEY!" Ronnie said offended "I'm not that big!"
"I think we might need to put some stuff back." Carmen suggested
"WAIT!" Ronnie said hopping out the buggy. "I have an idea!" She reaches into her pocket and pulls out her speed ring and places it around her finger. A bright flash a green light appeared around her body as she was now in her speed suit. "Hop in Carmen!"
"OH HECK YEAH!" Carmen said hopping into the buggy
Ronnie placed her hands around the handle of the buggy, once she started to push it she used her speed and began running out the aisle. Carmen let out excited laughs, shouting in excitement. "WOOOOHOOOO!" Carmen screamed placing her hands in the air.
"What in the world is going on out here?" a store said working stepping out form the meat aisle room. Once Ronnie came zooming out nowhere the store worker was sent spinning in circles quickly. He let out a couple of dizzy chuckles and falls to the ground.
Meanwhile, back to Marcus and Johnny
Johnny was standing in front of Marcus. Johnny was tapping his foot impatiently while holding a pack of chicken in his right hand, and beef in the other. Marcus was just blankly staring at Johnny. He lets out a yawn and scratches his cheek.
"Chicken, or beef?" Johnny asked, sounding very irritated
"I think I would just settle with Ramen noodles." Said Marcus
"YOU CAN'T JUST EAT RAMEN NOODLES ALL THE TIME! IT'S NOT GOOD FOR YOU TO EAT ALL THE TIME!" Johnny snapped at Marcus "YOU NEED MORE THAN JUST THAT IN YOUR DIET YOU IDIOT!"
"Beef makes me feel bad. And chicken taste weird to me…" Marcus said looking away from Johnny
"Are you a vegan or something?!" Johnny asked confused
"Nope," Marcus said simply
"Ok ok ok, so do you want some vegetables?" Johnny asked quickly.
Marcus thought for a moment. "Meh," he said shrugging
"THAT'S NOT AN ANSWER!" Johnny roared at Marcus
"Hmmm…" Marcus looked over at the chicken and picked up a pack of chicken thighs "Hmmmmmmm…." He thought long and hard for a moment.
"So…" Johnny said through his teeth "Do you want the chicken?"
Marcus said nothing for a few seconds and looked over at Johnny. Johnny just stared back at Marcus, waiting for him to say something.
"So about that Ramen…" said Marcus
"AHHHHHHHH!" Johnny screamed in frustration while rustling his own hair. Both Johnny and Marcus were suddenly sent spinning around in the circles due to Ronnie running around Carmen in a buggy full of sweets and snacks.
"Whooooaaaa…" Johnny said wobbling around.
"The hell was that?" Marcus said holding his head.
"I think that was Ronnie and Carmen…" Johnny responded placing his hands around his mouth trying not the barf.
"So…" Marcus said looking over at the meat on the coolers "Are you going to cook for me?"
"NO!" Johnny shouted at Marcus.
Back to where Manny and Frida were. They were both staring at all the cereal that was on the shelves.
"How the heck do these cereal companies's not get sued?" Manny said picking up a box of frosted flakes with a polar bear on the box "They literally took the name. And what's with the polar bear?"
"You think that's bad?" Frida said showing Manny a box of Pranks. The box was orange and had a picture of what looked to be a fox or a raccoon.
"It's just so weird looking…" Manny said placing the off brand box of frosted flakes back on the shelves. Manny looked over at Frida who was looking at the box of fruit loops on the shelves. "So…what did you and Marcus do when we were in the hospital?"
Frida looked over at Manny. She smirked and said "We went out to park while the sun was setting, he placed his arm around me and held me close," she said in a romantic tone.
"F-FRIDA!" Manny said glaring at her
Frida busted out into a loud laughter "I'm kidding! I'm kidding!" she said patting Manny on the back "You really do get jealous don't you?"
"I was just asking is all," Manny said looking away while twiddling his thumbs.
"We just hung out like we all usually do. We did see a movie, had Ice cream and just talked, and…" Frida thought about bringing up the face that she was kidnapped by a vengeance hungry girl named Kyoko.
Manny turned his head over to Frida "and?" he said curiously
"I watched him beat up super villains…jeez he can really be overly aggressive sometimes when he fight's…" Frida said rubbing her chin.
"Oh ok…" Manny said looking at the box of cereal. "Did he…try anything?" he asked, trying to not sound too interested.
"Actually he didn't, he was pretty normal surprisingly. He wasn't flirting or anything." Frida said picking up a box of cookie crisp. She then looked over at Manny and then giggled "What's wrong Manny are you scared he's going to take me away from you?"
"WHAT? No! I-I was just asking, JEEZ why do you have to say it like that!" Manny said flustered
The two of them were quiet for a moment
"I don't like Marcus like that if that's what you're thinking Manny." Frida said grinning Manny.
"S-SO?" Manny said "What should I care with who you like? It's none of business!" He snatches a box of coco puffs off the shelf "AND WE'RE GETTING COCO PUFFS!" he said walking off quickly.
Frida shrugs "Coco puffs it is." And she followed Manny.
Soon after, Manny and Frida met up with Marcus and Johnny. Marcus and Johnny's buggy was filed with boxes of brown rice, vegetables and chicken. That, and Johnny looked very frustrated.
"I have never in my life met somebody who is so hard to shop for…" Johnny said sounding very tired
"You're the one who stressed out so much about it." Marcus said rolling his eyes.
"I really think you acted like this just to mess with me…" Johnny said glaring at Marcus.
"Whatever you say…" Marcus said trying not to grin or laugh.
"I see you guys got everything you need." Frida said smiling.
"Chicken and veggies huh?" Said Manny
Marcus shrugged "Ehh I just threw stuff in the buggy so Johnny would shut up."
"Bite me…" Johnny snarled
"Is that all you're getting?" Marcus said looking at the box of cereal in Manny's hand.
"I guess so," Manny said looking at the box.
"Wait hold on." Said Frida "Who's going to be paying for all of this? I didn't bring any money."
"Neither did I…" Manny said looking between Frida, Marcus and Johnny.
"I got it." Marcus said taking a stack of Money.
"WHOA! WHERE DID YOU GET ALL OF THAT?!" Manny said pointing at Marcus's money.
"How I get all of my Money." Marcus said "Beat up a bunch of bad guys and take their cash."
"Oh shoot, you do that too?" Johnny said to Marcus.
Manny and Frida both face palmed and said "of course."
Finally, Ronnie and pulled up on Manny, Frida, Marcus and Johnny with a buggy packed to the brim with nothing but junk food. She takes her ring off her finger and reverts back to her normal form. "HI!" She said waving at them.
"What in the world…" Marcus said completely dumbfounded
"Ronnie holy cow…" Frida said looking into her buggy.
"This buggy could feed a whole neighborhood!" Manny said staring at the buggy.
"Hey….where's Carmen?" Johnny said looking around.
Suddenly a hand shoots out from the pile of junk food in the buggy that made everyone jump a bit. Carmen slowly appeared out from the pile of junk food with a candy bar in her mouth making loud zombie noises.
"CANDY ZOOOMBIIIEEEE!" Carmen groaned making slow movements with her arms. She then drops the candy bar from her mouth and begins laughing along with Ronnie. "Sup guys!"
"Nice entrance there Carmen," Frida said chuckling.
"Thanks, I worked really hard on it." Carmen said still giggling as she gets out the buggy.
"Soo who's paying for all of that?" Manny said pointing at the buggy.
"We are!" Said both Ronnie and Carmen, they both reached into their pockets pulling outs stacks of Money.
"How in the heck do you two have so much Money?!" Manny asked completely surprised
"We beat up bad guys and take their cash." Ronnie and Carmen said in unison.
"Should've had saw that coming…" said both Manny and Frida.
…
It took a couple of minutes and a lot of grocery bags before the group could finally leave the store. The next challenge actually was getting the buggy full of large amounts of (Mainly candy) and food all the way back to Marcus's home. But it wasn't a problem for Manny once he spun his El Tigre belt and picked up the buggy of groceries with ease. And the carried it all the way to Marcus's house.
Finally, the group had arrived at Marcus's apartment. Ronnie had dumped all the candy they had bought along with chips, brownies with chocolate chip in them, cupcakes and many other sweets.
"Jeez it's like we all just got back from trick of treating." Frida said smiling
Marcus looked over at Johnny "You still want to cook for me?" He asked
"UGH! OK I WILL!" Johnny said in an aggravated tone as he picks up the box of brown rice and chicken and heads into the kitchen.
"Don't burn anything." Marcus said to him.
"SHUT UP!"
Once everyone had settled down, Manny, Frida, Ronnie and Carmen sat in Marcus's living room going through all the candy that they had bought. Carmen had whispered to Manny and gave him a hershy kiss, and told him to give it to Frida. Manny blushed and tossed the hershy kiss back at Carmen and Carmen burst out into laughter.
"Here Manny, have a snicker." Ronnie said giving handing the snicker bar to Manny.
"Uhh…wait why?" Manny asked confused
"Because you're a shy boy when you're hungry,"
"I'M NOT EVEN HUNGRY OR SHY!"
In the Kitchen, Marcus was sitting at the table with his chin rested on the palm of his hand. Marcus watched Johnny as placed seasoning around the chicken. Johnny suddenly flinched. He slowly turned around and eyed Marcus.
"Why, are you staring at me?" Johnny asked
"What? I can't stare in my own apartment?" said Marcus
"Well don't stare at me while I cook! It makes me feel weird!" Johnny said turning away from Marcus and looking down at the pan of chicken.
"You're the weird one thinking of weird things…" Marcus said with a smirk.
"Will you be quiet?!" Johnny said checking on the pot of brown rice.
Marcus looked over at Johnny once more. He began to laugh. Johnny turned around to face Marcus once more.
"What's so funny?!"
"You'd make a perfect housewife." Marcus said grinning at Johnny.
"WHAT?!" Johnny said stunned "A-A HOUSEWIFE? WHERE THE HECK DID THAT COME FROM?!"
"Just saying, you can clean and cook. You're definitely housewife material."
"WILL YOU SHUT UP ALREADY?! JEEZ!" Johnny shouted at Marcus as he went back to cooking "A housewife? What the heck is wrong with this guy?!" he thought.
After awhile the food was ready. Johnny called out to everyone telling them that dinner was ready. Everyone went over to the table and sat down. Johnny went over and placed a helping of brown rice and chicken on each of their plates.
"Ooooh this looks so good!" Manny said picking up his fork.
"Johnny this looks so beautiful!" Frida said smiling over at him.
"Yummy! It tastes so good!" Ronnie said eating the rice and then taking a bite out of the chicken.
"The seasoning is so good Johnny! Great job!" Carmen said smiling at Johnny.
"Hehehehe…thanks guys." Johnny said blushing and rubbing the back of his head. He then looks over at Marcus who was eating quietly. Johnny crossed his arms at him and tapped his foot. "Well?"
"Meh…" Said Marcus
"MEH?!" Johnny shouted "WHY YOU LITTLE-"
"I'm just messing with you!" Marcus said laughing "This food is great Johnny! I really like it!"
"O-Oh…" Johnny said surprised at the compliment "T-Thanks…"
Once everyone was done eating, Frida, Ronnie and Carmen had both fallen asleep on the couch, which was pretty much a sugar crash. Johnny had fallen asleep at the kitchen table with his head resting on his arms. Manny and Marcus were also sitting at the table, the two of them didn't really say much to each other. Sitting there listening to everyone snoring in the apartment.
"Not use to having so many people over huh?" Said Manny
"Hahaha, not really," Marcus replied "It's pretty nice."
"You should ask us to come over more." Manny said tossing a skittle into his mouth.
"Maybe I should…I really did have fun." Marcus said smiling.
"Hehe, that's good." Manny said tapping his fingers on the side of the table. He looks over at Marcus who was staring out the window. Outside the sun was starting to set.
"Hey, I need to ask." Manny began
"I didn't try anything with Frida." Marcus said quickly.
"I wasn't going to say anything about that!" Manny said quietly shouting at Marcus.
"Are you sure? You just had that looking in your eye." Said Marcus staring at Manny
"Arrgh!" Manny groaned. He calms down and sighs "I was going to ask you. Why did you snap at us that day after the battle with Tetsuo?"
Marcus looked at Manny and then looked back out the window.
"What did he say to you that made you act like that?" Manny asked once more.
Marcus was quiet for a moment. He sighed and lies back in his chair "He told me that no matter who I come in contact with…it'll always end up with them getting hurt or killed. I failed to beat him…and you all could've gotten killed because of me..."
"Oh." Manny stared down at his hands. He really didn't know how to respond. "You really shouldn't listen to him Marcus. I mean we're all fine."
"You don't understand Manny… it always happened to me…and he was right. A lot of the people I come in contact with always do end up getting hurt because of me. I just…I got scared and thought I just had to get away…" Marcus explained.
"You're so ridiculous…" Said Frida opening her eyes
Manny and Marcus looked over at Frida. She turned her head over to Manny and Marcus's direction.
"We had a heck of a scare that day. But it wasn't your fault. Just because you and him had history doesn't mean that he's your responsibility Marcus…you shouldn't have to put burden on yourself like that." Said Frida
"Mhm…" Ronnie said opening her eyes and looking over at them
"Right…" Said Carmen looking over at them
"You always don't have to fight by yourself dumb dumb," Johnny said looking over at Marcus with his head rested on his arms.
"Guys…" Marcus said softly.
"Marcus," Said Manny "We got your back…you know what right?"
Marcus looked at Manny, then to Frida, Ronnie, Carmen and Johnny. He lets out a small sigh and then smiles "Yeah…" He said nodding
"I know…"
