A/N I had this really interesting dream one night. I walked out of my home to take out the trash, and when I turned around to see; sitting on the top of my house was about, 20 goats. That, and there were really large cats just sitting around the porch. It was such an odd, but funny dream. I enjoy dreams like that, so random but entertaining.

El Tigre the New Adventures Season 2 Episode 61 – Battle on Genesis Island Part 4

"I have to get up…" Thought Manny, as he laid there staring at Duval, who was in his monstrous vampire form. "I…I have to…I have to stop him!"

These are the words that echoed in Manny's head. But his body thought otherwise. Manny was beaten down badly, and any-time he tried to move the pain would spread out to his whole body. Manny looked over at Okami. He wasn't moving. He had his head hung low and blood was dripping from his face.

"Please…please be alive Okami…PLEASE!"

Manny then looked over at Marcus. He was the same as Okami. His heart dropped and Manny placed his head face down on the ground. "Please be alive…don't be dead…please…"

Manny could feel his eyes begin to water. The thought of losing them was beginning to hit him. It didn't help that he felt so helpless. Manny has come across situations like this before. Broken down and on the brink of death. Of course, he would always bounce back. But what if he couldn't? What if this was it? Was he really about to sit here and watch everyone get killed? Then be killed afterward?

Duval's attention was upon Alistar. He had a menacing glare that was directed at him. Alistar was dumbfounded. He began to sweat as he stood petrified at his master.

"L-Lord?" muttered Alistar.

"You stood there, as my children were murdered. That, and you come to me…clean…not a single bit of effort to show you helped," says Duval, his monstrous voice echoing the room.

"LORD I-I HAD SO MUCH CONFIDENCE THAT THEY COULD WIN! I DIDN'T TH-"

"You are useless to me…" said Duval, as she shoves his hand through Alistar's chest.

Alistar, eyes widen, let out a cry of pain as blood gushed from his mouth. With this, Alistar's body began to turn dust. And just like that, he was gone.

"Damn you, Duval…" Spat Roz, growling and crawling to his son. "Okami…Okami say something…."

Roz reached out to try and touch Okami, but then Duval walks over and steps on Roz's hand. Roz let out a shout of pain and then growled as he eyed down Duval. Duval stared down at Roz with nothing but anger in his eyes.

"How dare you…" Roz snarled "How dare you even look at me with those eyes. You and your whole clan hunted us down and killed many of our own…yet you still look at me as if you are the innocent ones…GO TO HELL!"

Duval slowly raised his foot and places it over Roz's head. He was going to viciously stomp on Roz's head, till-

"GUYS I FOUND IT!" said a familiar voice to Manny's ears.

Manny looked up seeing Ronnie standing at the opening of the room. Ronnie's eyes widen at the scene that she witnessed. Okami, back against the wall dripping with blood, Marcus, lying facedown on the floor not moving, and Manny and Roz on the floor unable to move.

"Oh my god…" Ronnie said horrified

Then the rest of the group had arrived. They then bared the same horrified look on their faces at Ronnie, seeing their friends all battered and bruised. Duval turned to them. He moved his foot away from Roz and turned his body completely to them.

"Just in time," said Duval, his voice deep and full of anger. "Do you see your allies lying here in their pool of blood? I want them to watch you all die before I kill them."

Johnny didn't waste any-time. He rushed past the group, blue fire roaring across his right leg, and then sends a kick towards Duval's way. Duval easily catches Johnny's leg and slings him towards the stone wall. Johnny's impact on the wall was lessened due to his phoenix flames, and Johnny bounces off the wall and then kicks Duval straight in the face. Duval didn't budge one bit, causing Johnny to quickly backed off.

"Damn…it's just like with that other vampire punk!" said Johnny.

"So you are the one that killed my son?" asked Duval, staring down at Johnny. "And you're another fire user like that boy over there? Interesting."

Johnny looked behind Duval seeing Marcus laying motionless on the ground. This only angered him more, and the same went for Frida and the others. Johnny went back in for another attack with Ronnie and Carmen following side by side. Johnny went for another kick at Duval, Duval easily blocked, but jumping over Johnny was Carmen, her morphing pole transformed into a spear which she thrust at Duval aiming for his heart.

Duval had completely vanished into smoke and Carmen misses her attack. Duval reappeared behind the two. Duval backhands Carmen in the stomach sending her up in the air and she collides with the ceiling, then falls to the stone floor with a thud. Duval felt a sudden impact to the right side of his face, then his left, then his stomach. Ronnie was attacking Duval from all positions. But this onslaught of attacks didn't last. Duval had timed his punch with ease and sent Ronnie flying into the stone wall.

"BASTARD!" screamed Johnny as he rushed at Duval.

Duval held up his hand and a red and blackish orb shoots out from his hand and directly hit Johnny knocking him to the ground. Ryumaru sent in a flurry of strong wind attacks at Duval. But to no avail, they didn't faze him at all. Duval made quick work of Ryumaru by raising his hand and a sudden dark and purple explosion that sends Ryumaru flying out of the room.

All who were left standing were Frida and Gregory. Frida stood petrified staring at Duval. Frida had a quick flashback to when Tetsuo had attacked. All of her friends were down and out. Her legs began to shake and she was sweating bullets. Gregory stood in front of Frida shielding her, and he aimed his crossbow at Duval.

"M-Mr. Gregory…" Frida said in a shaky tone.

"Don't worry, I won't let him harm you," Gregory said confidently.

"How adorable…" said Duval, darkly as he walked forward to the two of them "Let's see how well you protect her."

Manny watched as Duval walked towards Frida and Gregory. He clenched his teeth and places his right hand on the ground as he tried to push himself up. "I have to…I have…" Manny thought. His body was aching, but he had managed to get to his feet. "LEAVE THEM ALONE!" He roared. His voice echoing in the room.

Duval turned around to see Manny was struggling to stand. "Ah, so you do have some strength left. But you should have stayed down child," he says as he walked over to Manny and picks him up by his arms. "Well then…I'll just have to break you apart piece by piece."

Duval began to pull against Manny's arms. Manny let out a cry of pain as Duval was trying to rip out Manny's arms.

"DAMN YOU DUVAL PUT THAT BOY DOWN!" Gregory screamed as he shot a crossbow bolt at Duval.

Duval released one arm from Manny's grasp and caught the bolt between his fingers, and tossed it right back at Gregory. The bolt hit Gregory straight in the shoulder and he let out a groan of pain.

Manny took this opportunity and slashed Duval across the eyes. Duval lets out an angry growl of pain and dops Manny's on the ground.

Frida saw that Duval was busy trying to open his eyes, and she takes the sharp hunting knife from the holder and hops onto Duval's back, raises her hand, and stabs Duval in the neck.

Duval roars, and Frida continues to stab Duval four more times in the neck before Duval reaches his large arms behind him and grabs Frida by the back of her shirt, and chucks her to the side. She crashes hard against the wall, then Frida let out a loud gasp of pain and laid on the floor, her red goggles flew off of her head and she twitched in pain.

"F-Frida…" Manny said in a silent whisper

Duval yanks the knife out of his kneck and tosses it to the ground. He turns his sharp glare to Frida and walks over to her. He picks her up by her hair and tilts her head to the right, exposing her neck.

Manny saw this, and everything was going in slow motion to him. Duval exposing his sharp vampiric fangs that were about to sink into Frida's neck, and Frida's terrified expression with tears streaming down her face.

Manny lost It

He let out a strong shout that turned into the fierce roar of a tiger. Duval removed his attention from Frida and turned to face Manny. There It was. He hadn't summoned this power in so long due to his restrictions. The green aura flowed around his body, and Manny pounces at Duval striking him in the face sending him out of the room and crashing throw the stone walls.

"H-Holy cow Manny," said Ronnie in awe.

Manny went after Duval. Duval gets to his feet, only to be met with a strong punch to the face, then the stomach, then a flurry of strong slashes that left deep cuts into Duval's body.

Duval roared in rage and went to strike Manny, but Manny easily blocked the attack with his ease. Duval's eyes widened at this and Manny struck Duval in the stomach with a hard right. Duval let out a groan of pain and held his stomach with both hands. Manny followed up with a kick to the face that sent him flying again through the rest of the castle sending him outside the back courtyard.

"DAMN IT ALL!" Duval roared. His voice echoed around the area.

Manny stepped out to the courtyard. He glared down at Duval and extended his claws, but before he could begin his next attack. He felt a sharp pain hit his body. Manny doubled over and let out a cry of pain. It was the seal that was placed on him by jasper. The seal glowed brightly through his El Tigre uniform.

"NO…NO!" said Manny, helplessly as he tried to contain his strength a little longer.

Duval gets to his feet and walks over to Manny. He stared down at him menacingly before he picks him by his head.

"That was an amazing amount of strength you displayed," said Duval, honestly. "You did a great amount of damage to me."

Duval then slammed Manny's head to the ground. Duval then raised his foot to step down on Manny's head. But then,

"SOARING BLADE STYLE,"

Duval looked up, and before he knew it, all he saw was red eyes jet past him and a burning pain was felt going up to his body. Marcus had slashed Duval with all his might with his new silver sword.

"SONG OF THE UNDERWORLD!"

Then, a blazing fire erupted from Duval's wound that was inflicted by Marcus and he screamed in pain.

Marcus pants and falls over. It took so much for Marcus to get back to his feet. He winces hard and coughs. The wounds he sustained from Duval were hurting worse than ever.

"You…" Duval said as turned around to Marcus. "I was sure I killed you!"

"F-For such a strong and confident vampire you are sucking at your job right now," said Marcus through the pain.

Duval stumbled over and gets on one knee. The cut that Marcus gave Duval was more severe than he thought. The fire did die away but the cut was weakening Duval greatly thanks to the silver saber that Gregory gave him.

Then Roz appeared into the courtyard. He leaps into the air and jumps onto Duval and began biting him in his neck. Duval and Roz struggled a bit. Roz was biting and clawing at Duval, focusing on the cut that Marcus inflicted. Duval forces Roz off of him and slams him to the ground causing the area around him to shake.

Duval turns around and was met with a strong punch to the face from Okami, which caused him to stumble a bit. Okami went in for another punch, but Duval was quicker to act and punches Okami straight in the gut sending him flying into the air and falling on his back.

Duval turns around to see that Marcus was back to his feet and was charging at him. Going for a strike to the heart. Duval easily dodged this and backhanded Marcus, causing him to fly back while his sword went into the air. Before Duval could do anything, he felt another searing pain hit him in the back. He turned around and saw that Gregory had fired a silver bolt into Duval's back. Duval then turned forward and saw that Manny had caught Marcus's silver blade. Manny ran forward and thrust the silver blade into Duval's heart. Duval's eyes widened. His mouth hung open. Manny forced the blade to go deeper into his heart and Duval stumbled back and fell over on his back.

Duval reverted to his normal form and he looked into Manny's tiger-like eyes. To think, that this would be the last thing that he would see is this boy's eyes and the night sky above him. Duval reached up slowly to try and grab Manny around the neck. But as he did so, his hand turned to dust along with the rest of his body.

Duval was gone.

Manny toppled onto his side. It was over. After all that time it was finally over. Duval was gone, along with his son and two daughters. Manny panted hard. He was so tired. The tired he's ever been in a while.

"He's dead…" Roz said breathlessly "That Vampirc bastard is dead…"

"Haha…haha…we did it…" said Okami, trying to let out a laugh of relief but ended up coughing.

"Screw being a vampire hunter…I'm so done with all of this…" said Marcus, as it seemed he was unable to get to his feet.

"Hold on boys…we're done yet, there's still one more left," said Roz

"O-Oh right…the wife…" said Manny, said as he was still struggling to get to his feet.

Marcus limps over to Manny and he places his arm over his shoulder "Come on I got you," he said tiredly. "Let's go finish this."

Roz did the same thing Marcus did for his son as he helped Okami to his feet and walked over to the hole in the wall where Manny punched Roz through. Gregory was laying his back against the wall patching up his wound.

"You all did it, you beat Duval," said Gregory, smiling at them "I can't believe you did it…when we all arrived and saw you all laid out on the floor battered and bruised. I thought the worst."

"You had every right too," Marcus replied, "I thought it was over…we couldn't handle him once he snapped…"

"Agreed," Roz said with a sigh "I felt that we failed at first…"

Roz looked over at Manny "But then tiger kid over here caught a second wind,"

"haha…yeah…" said Manny tiredly

"Before I came down here I saw Clara heading down the hall to the right," Gregory told them.

Then, the rest of the group showed up.

"You guys ok!?" Frida asked worriedly.

"We're alive, and Duval's a dust pile outside so yeah, we're alright," said Marcus

"Gregory told us that Clara went down that hall. There's a chance that Amanda's there too! We need to hurry!" said Okami hastily.

And so they did. Ronnie helped Gregory to his feet and they all went down the hallway that Clara went down. A door on the left side was opened and they entered. The room was large looked to have belonged to the Vampire sisters. And laying on the floor was Amanda, with a cut on her shoulder and whimpering softly, and Clara was standing over her.

"AMANDA!" Okami shouted.

"O-Okami?" Amanda said softly.

"Everything is gone…Everything…my family is gone…" Clara whispered

Ronnie rushes over to Clara to grab the knife but was backhanded by Clara, knocking Ronnie to the ground.

"Just take her…" said Clara bitterly. "TAKE HER!"

Ronnie stared up at Clara surprised. She slowly reaches over and pulls Amanda away from Clara. Clara stared down at the floor with tears in her eyes. She began sobbing, and her sobs grew louder and louder. She raises the knife into the air, the handle gripped with both her hands. Then, she stabs herself in the heart. Everyone watched in shock as Clara coughed up blood and her back hits against the window.

"H-holy cow!" Frida gasped.

Clara looked up into the ceiling. Her vision was blurry and fading. "I…I'm coming…my…beautiful…fa…family…" Then, slowly, her body began to crumble away, till she was nothing but dust.

It was quiet for a moment. The group looked over at Clara's ash pile in shock at what she had just done.

But one thing they did realize. The job was done. It was finally over.

…

The rest of the group had met up with Luana and Kiera when they existed in the castle. Luana and gently hugged her husband and son and nearly broke down crying when they saw how beat up they were. But all that mattered to her was that they were safe. After that, the group had returned to the main Island of Saint Charleston. For now, Team Rivera and the werewolf family had to separate. They returned to their hideout and while the group, returned to the hotel. Gregory was the main one that had helped tend to the other's wounds and bruises. The group stayed at Saint Charles for a couple of days healing and being treated. They of course went to the hospital, later on, to see how their wounds were and ended up recovering.

Saint Charleston's reaction to the disappearance of Duval and his wife Clara was a big one. People were all around the main building asking questions. Of course, the secretary couldn't respond to the questions she didn't have answers to.

Then, Amanda's father stepped in.

"Everyone…I am sorry to say this but, mayor Duval has stepped down,"

Everyone who was gathered around gasped.

"I know this is sudden, but we must move on. In the next following months, we will be holding a campaign for a new mayor! The town can begin with a fresh start!"

Everyone in the crowd was confused and some were worried and angered by the sudden leave of the Duval. People in the crowd were demanding the real reason for Duval's sudden departure. All Thomas could do was lie. Lie and try to explain in more detail as to why Duval was gone. But the only people who knew the truth were Team Rivera and the wolf family.

"Can't we just tell them the truth?" said Manny, turning over to Ryumaru.

"They wouldn't believe us, Manny, you know that," replied Ryumaru. "That, and we don't have any proof of that."

The group was all watching the gathering from afar. They stood at the stop where they first arrived from the traveling bus.

"Ah who cares," said Johnny with a scoff. "Let them all just go crazy!"

"Honestly I'm just ready to go home. I got songs to write. I MISS MY GUITAR!" groaned Frida

"Hey Ronnie!" said Carmen, "Can you shoot some lightning out of your hands!?"

Ronnie holds out her hands. She concentrates. But to no avail she couldn't muster up anything, and sighs "I can't do it again," she said disappointingly "I couldn't do it even with my speed powers."

"It just takes training and practice," said Marcus, he was looking off into the distance, scowling just a bit. "It's not easy getting used to something you have no control over. Trust me, you'll get it."

Ryumaru nods "He's right Ronnie, Just keep training and you'll get the hang of it in no time!"

Ronnie looked at her ring and then smiles "Yeah! I'll start training as soon as we get home!"

Manny smiled at Ronnie's determination. Then he looks over at Marcus who walked off to a spot of his own and leans against a building. Manny walked over to Marcus and stood next to him.

"Marcus?"

"What?"

"What's been up with you? You've been like this for a few days."

Marcus inhaled and softly exhaled.

"Come on man don't give me the silent treatment,"

"We nearly died in that fight…" Marcus finally said.

"Huh? Well…yeah it was a tough fight...I almost thought that we would-"

"I couldn't do anything…again,"

Manny went silent for a moment and then said "Well...Duval was really strong-"

"Yeah, he was," said Marcus "We barely stood a chance."

Manny was confused as to what Marcus was implying. They won, Duval and his family were gone. So what was Marcus so upset about?

Marcus let out a sigh and turned to Manny "You know what you're right," he said, his bothered expression turned into a smile "I'm just glad we made it out alright."

Manny wanted to figure out what was wrong with Marcus, but instead, he shook it off and returned the smile "I'm glad you're ok to Marcus, i.. thought you were…"

Marcus gave a light punch to Manny's shoulder "I thought so too," he replied softly.

"And what about me? I was down for the count for a bit too!"

Both Manny and Marcus turned around to see that Okami, who was wearing normal civilian clothing was standing in front of them. He was wearing a black T-shirt with the design of a full moon around it, along with blue jean shorts and a grey cap around his head. His long fluffy hair was tied in a pony-tail and the rest of it was tucked under the hat he was wearing"Jeez, I was fighting too! Where's my sappy "I'm glad you're ok" talk, Huh?"

Both Manny and Marcus blinked slowly.

Okami raised a brow and blushed slightly "W-What!?" He said flustered. "Amanda said I looked cool in this so…" He averted his eyes away from there's, shy and embarrassed.

"Forget looking cool you look adorable!" said Marcus, honestly.

"SHUT UP!" Okami blurted out, his face turning red.

Roz, Luana, and Kiera had all arrived to see the team leave off back to Miracle city. The rest of the wolf family all were wearing normal clothing. Roz was wearing a red button-up shirt with brown cargo pants, and Luana was wearing a pink shirt with white pants. Kiera was wearing a black shirt with blue jeans with slight tears in them.

"We came to see you all off!" said Luana, "We didn't get a chance to thank you all for helping us. I honestly don't think we would have been here right now If it wasn't for you all."

"We were glad to help," said Ryumaru with a smile and a nod.

"You guys know how to handle yourselves well. Keep It up and you'll be the best hero team out there," said Roz with a warm smile.

"THAT'S RIGHT! WE'LL BE THE BEST!" Bleated Ronnie.

"Are you all heading home?"

Everyone turned around to see Amber, walking towards them. "It's a shame that I didn't get to talk to you all longer," she said softly with a smile.

"You should come by Miracle city sometime! It's hectic and crime-infested but we make some mean churros!" said Frida

Amanda giggles "Maybe one day," she said softly.

"Thanks, and…" Okami rubs the back of his neck. "Again I'm sorry about attacking you that night,"

"Okami man come on you already apologized!" Manny said tapping his shoulder a gently

"Yeah but…" Okami ears lowered

"Don't sweat it, all that matters is that you and your family are alright," Manny said in a soft tone. "No need for apologies."

Okami's ears perked and a glowing smile appeared on his face.

"Are you all still going to be staying in this town?" Johnny asked curiously.

"For now," Luana replied, "Now that Duval and his family of vampires aren't prowling the streets anymore we can rest and not constantly watch our backs."

Roz nods "Of course we'll still be at our old hide out for the time being. But now we'll be on our way in the future,"

The travel bus had arrived. Everyone gathered their things and boarded the traveling bus.

"Thank you, Manny," said Okami as smiled at Manny

Manny turned back to face Okami as he boarded the traveling bus.

"Any time Okami, friends for life!" Manny said giving him the thumbs up.

Then, the doors closed and the traveling bus rode off, taking the young heroes back to Miracle city.

While the town of Saint Charles was in an uproar. This family of werewolves would finally be free from being hunted and would go on to their normal lives.

Another mission complete

A/N So that ends the Vampire Family arc, or, The Vampire vs Werwolves arc, Or Vampire and Werewolves arc. I never really had a proper name for this story arc honestly. So before in a previous chapter, I said I would start to explain the process of me building story arcs for El Tigre the new adventures. So let's begin with this one.

The birth of this story came from wanting to bring back Okami and introduce more of his family. But I didn't have the proper idea of how It would come to be. I didn't just want to bring him back into Miracle city conveniently like I did Carmen and Leng in the previous chapters so I had to sit and think of a way for Manny and the gang to go to him. Then the idea of vampires came into my mind. I never had any experience with writing vampires so I ended up just doing some quick research on the many powers they had. I always thought vampires had one set power structure but then I remember an anime called Vampire Knights, and each of them had their own set of elemental powers so I just went with whatever I came up with. I think I didn't do too bad of a job!

So let's go through each character, shall we? Starting with the Wolf family because I felt as though I didn't give them a lot of love in this arc.

Luana – When it came to werewolf moms I didn't have much inspiration. Honestly, I think I just thought about her off the top of my head and gave her a wolf-like name. As the story went on I did enjoy writing her character! And in the future, if she ever comes back to El Tigre the new adventures or, in a standalone story, I'll try my best to do better with her.

Kiera – I had mentioned her in the re-write of El Tigre the new adventures season 1. I thought of a teenage wolf-girl who's energetic, innocently adorable. Thus, Kiera was officially born. Like Luana, I thought about her immediately as the story draft was being made. Not much was thought about in terms of her character as a whole, and again, like Luana, I hope to have another chance at doing more with her character.

Wolf Clan – I'm sad to say I didn't use them in the final chapters of the story. I did have intentions of them coming in to help in the end but due to my thinking that the arc itself was going on too long as it was, I had to cut it. It's a shame and I'm very disappointed with this. It would have been such an epic moment. An all-out battle between both clans. *sigh*

Gregory – With vampires running around, I thought that this would be the perfect opportunity to introduce a vampire hunter. Gregory was a character I enjoyed having around. Gregory teaching the group how to handle vampires and ways to weakening was really, fun. Will he be back in the story? Maybe a small appearance?

Amanda – I wanted Okami to have a crush. I thought of a kind girl who loves animals. Then Amanda was created. Not really, much to her that I can say

Now on to the vampire family

Duval – As I went on to making the vampire family, I started with Duva. Cunning, Confidant, charming, strong and plans his move carefully. That was one of my many thought processes when creating Duval. I didn't want to make an over the top Vampire villain. I wanted a calm and nonchalant one. Which, him being too calm and confidant Is why he was defeated. I'm very happy with how he turned out from beginning to end. If I ever decide to do a standalone story, I'd gladly bring him and the vampire family back

Clara – In a way, she is like Luana as I made her. I needed Duval to have a loving and supportive wife, and so, Clara was made. Just like her husband she is carefree and confidant. I didn't think much of her doing anything but cheering her husband on along with her kids. If things were looking frustrating she would be Duval's main comfort and reassurance. Just a very supportive wife. But as the story went on, I wanted her to be the main reaction to the fall of the family. Even though she didn't do much, I enjoyed her character very much.

Salem – The bratty vampire boy who is a pervert and has no manners at all. He's Bloodthirsty and will kill you on sight if you looked at him wrong. That's what I thought about when making Salem. He turned out excellent. But of course, when it comes to an annoying som, there have to be sisters. When I first thought about Salem. Also, one of the things I thought about was Johnny kicking a very annoying Vampire kid in the face as hard as possible. That's how Salem was born, to be honest.

Elena and Lilith – These two were such a joy to write. I miss them so much. Elena, along with her sister Lilith were all firstborn. When I thought about making the last two children of the vampire family I thought about making twins. Elena, hyperactive and names all her pets after favorite fruits or sweets. Lilith, quiet and loves everything to do with the dead. When it came to their powers I wanted one of them to have sound abilities and another to control the dead. The Inspiration came from two people I use to know. In a way, this was a tribute to them!

Alistar – I have no idea why I made this character. I had introduced him for some reason and I forgot about him. It would have been weird to just have a character appear and then not do anything with him. So I just killed him off. It was an Irresponsible thing for me to do really. But I had to end his character somehow.

Creighton – I wanted to introduce a vampire for the group to go up against as their first taste of the undead. So Creighton was born. Not much was used as inspiration, just a vampire for the group to fight.

Summary: I did enjoy writing this arc along with the characters I introduced. I do however wish that I was able to use more of the ideas that were cut. I spent the beginning portions of this arc building up the characters and the situations that the vampires were causing. I think that's why this arc was so long, was that I wanted to give you all the characters as they are. Which I don't hate that I did.
