A/N
Wow, it's been a while since I worked on this story. I think it's been 2 years right? I fell off hard from this story because I've been working on other projects. But I started thinking about new story ideas for El Tigre The New Adventures and it made me realize how much it changed my whole vision. So once I publish this chapter after touching up some things, I'll see what I do from here on out. As for the rest of Season 2, I don't remember what else I had planned. I might just have to move the plot along and save some stuff for Season 3. Well, let's continue with the chapter shall we?
El Tigre The New Adventures Season 2 Episode 65 – Voodoo Do Hoodoo
Manny was sitting at the table at Isabella's bakery eating one of, In Manny's opinion, the finest cakes Manny had ever eaten. Johnny watched from over the counter as he was dusting and cleaning. He was always happy to see someone enjoy something he had made.
"Johnny, I don't know how many times I have to say it, but this is the best cake I have ever tasted!" said Manny enthusiastically. "Like, dude, this is just wonderful!". Johnny's face reddened, and he couldn't help but twiddle his thumbs. "Come on, Manny…jeez…" He said embarrassingly, "But thank you…it-it means a lot…"
"Did you teach yourself how to bake? Or did it just come naturally to you?"" asked Manny, picking up the plate and licking the rest of the icing off.
"Oh no…my mom taught me everything I know," Johnny replied. "Cooking, cleaning, and baking, you have my mom to thank. " Johnny had stopped scrubbing for a moment as he began to think about his long passed mother. It had been a while since his mother was on his mind. He felt ashamed that he hadn't thought about her in so long.
"Uh…" Manny placed the plate down. White icing was all over his face and lips. "So umm…" He tried to think of another topic, seeing how Johnny was becoming sad. "So, uh, is Isabella around? Or is this one of her many stores?"
"Huh? Oh! " Johnny snapped out of his daze. "Oh no, she opened up her bakery a year ago! And she's out right now handling some errands. "
"What's she look like? Is she hot?" Manny asked as he licked the icing off of his fingers. Johnny rolls his eyes at the question and walks to Manny handing him some paper towels to wipe his face. "Well, to answer your question, she is a wonderful woman with gorgeous tan hair. She looks a lot like your mom regarding her body type."
"Oh real-hey!" said Manny, shooting a glare at Johnny, who smirked at Manny as he took his plate and walked back to the counter. Johnny's notification chime went off, and he checked his phone. "UGH!" he groaned. "What is it?" Manny asked as he wiped his face with the paper towel.
"It's Marcus…" Johnny said in disgust.
"He knows how to use his phone?" said Manny in surprise.
"Apparently…" Johnny said as he texted Marcus back quickly. "He's trying to get me to come over and cook for him again…"
"You usually go over and cook for him?"
"Sometimes, if I'm in the mood to put up with him," Johnny sat his phone down, and then it went off again. "No, I'm not bringing you a cake!" he said, frustrated, as he picked up his phone and texted him back.
"Have you ever tried teaching him to cook?" Manny asked
"Once…" replied Johnny as he paused. "NEVER…again…" he a look on his face as if he was having terrible flashbacks. "Never…"
Manny stared at him for a moment. "Ooook…" he said awkwardly. "So, what time are you getting off?"
"In an hour," Johnny replied. "Wanna hang out when I get off?"
"Yeah! I got this new airsoft gun I've wanted to try out! Wanna go try it out together?" Manny asked excitedly.
"HECK YEAH I DO!" said Johnny with a big smile.
The two decided to meet back at the bakery within an hour. Manny leaves the bakery and heads down the street. The whole time he was thinking about getting another cake from Johnny. Manny took out his phone and was about to text Johnny to ask if he could get him some more later on when he felt someone grip Manny around his jacket and tug him into an alleyway.
"HEY, WHAT THE HECK?" shouted Manny in surprise. Manny was shoved to the ground, and he felt someone sit on his waist. Manny opens his eyes and looks up at his adversary. His eyes widened.
"PLEASE, El TIGRE, I NEED YOUR HELP!" said Che, the zombie boy.
Che is a zombie child and the son of General Chapuza, who is also a Zombie. The two of them are from a town in Miracle city called Zombie town, who's inhabitants are all undead. Manny has has many run-ins with Che. They first met when he was playing against him in the Miracle city soccer finals and racing against him in the supervillain's grand prix. There was also that one time Frida had a Zombie attached to her head, and they had to go to a fountain located in Zombie town to remove it, which Che, and everyone in town tried to stop Manny. "C-CHE? What the heck?"
"PLEASE, El TIGRE! YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE THAT CAN HELP ME!"
"Ok, well, you can do me a favor and GET OFF!" Manny yelled, shoving Che off of him. "Jeez, I'll be smelling like Zombie stank for a week!"
"Sorry…" Che sniffled
"What exactly do you need my help with anyway? This is really out of the blue," asked Manny.
"It…it's my family. They were all taken away from me!" said Che, tears began falling from his eyes.
"W-What?" Manny said, shocked and confused, "Wait, wait, hold on, what do you mean your family was taken? Like, EVERYONE in Zombie town?"
Che nodded rapidly, to the point where his head almost fell off. "It all started a week ago…we all noticed that some of our people began disappearing. Then, I woke one morning to find everyone in Zombie town gone!" Che dropped to his knees and began crying loudly.
"Hey, hey!" Manny tried to calm him down. "Dude, enough with the crying already! Do you have any idea where they could've possibly disappeared to?"
Che stopped crying and rubbed his eyes. "No…that's why I came to you…" Che looked up at Manny with watery glossy eyes.
Manny sighed. He didn't expect to run into Che at all, let alone be searching for a whole town of missing zombies. Manny was considering just rejecting Che and heading off with Johnny later to shoot nerf guns at random objects on the roof of his home. But he stared down at Che, who had tears flowing down his eyes.
Manny let out one more sigh. "Ok…I'll help you…" He said reluctantly.
Che brought Manny into a big hug. "THANK YOU SO MUCH El TIGRE!" He said sincerely.
"C-CHE! ZOMBIE STRENGHT! FRAGILE BONES!" Manny squealed, hearing a few of those fragile bones pop.
"Oh, sorry," said Che, letting go of Manny, and he flops down to the ground. "I was too excited…hehe…"
Manny groans as he gets to his feet and picks up his phone. Manny opens up messages and heads to the group chat Team Rivera.
El Tigre: Hey guys, I need some help. Is anyone busy?
Johnny: What's wrong?
El Tigre: It's a lot to explain…Like A LOT. We'll have to put Nurf gun time on hold : (
Johnny: Well that sucks :/
Carmen: What's going on?
El Tigre: Um…I don't have a lot of time to explain. I need help looking for some people for a person. That's as much as I can explain right now.
Johnny: Pretty vague, but ok, where are you?
El Tigre: Meet me at the outskirts, I'll explain everything there.
Johnny: Oook, roger that.
El Tigre: Anybody else in?
Carmen: Well, Frida and Ronnie are a no-go. They're currently in a food coma.
El Tigre: A food coma?!
Carmen: This new pizza came out at Ronnie's job, and they ordered like 3 whole boxes and went through them like wild animals. It was a gruesome sight, yet, awe-inspiring. The two of them are out cold.
El Tigre: Can't you make it Carmen?
Carmen: Nope, I'm not moving my butt from this couch.
El Tigre: . really?
Carmen: Yup w besides you, Johnny and Marcus should be enough.
El Tigre: Marcus are you even reading the text?
Demon boi: Not till someone changes the damn nickname they gave me
Carmen: Why? You are a demon boi :3
Demon boi: I know it was you…
Carmen: ;) Maybe
El Tigre: Marcus, I know you're not doing anything! Meet up with me and Johnny!
Demon boi: Oh right, Johnny, bring me a cake.
Johnny: I AM NOT BRINGING YOU A CAKE! STOP ASKING!
Manny rolled his eyes
El Tigre: Alright, guys, meet at the outskirts in thirty minutes.
Johnny: Gotcha.
[Marcus's Nickname was changed]
Freaky Monster Demon thing: CARMEN!
Carmen: XD XD XD XD XD XD
…
After thirty minutes had passed, Johnny was the first to meet up with Manny around the outskirts heading off to the other towns. Manny was leaning against the sign listening to music, when he saw Johnny walking up to him.
"So what's so important that we had to cancel our Nurf Date?" asked Johnny, taking a swing of soda he brought along the way.
It was right after Johnny had arrived Marcus did as well. Marcus let out a big yawn as he walked up to both Manny and Johnny. Marcus looked over at Johnny, and he had a disappointed look on his face.
"Where's the cake?" asked Marcus
"I ALREADY TOLD YOU YOU'RE NOT GETTING ANY CAKE!" Johnny shouted at him.
"Enough about the cake already!" said Manny, annoyed help.
"So what's the situation that you couldn't explain fully?" Marcus asked, crossing his arms.
"Well you see-"
"Can I come out now? It's been a while…" said Che, standing behind a road sign.
"Huh?" said Marcus and Johnny as they looked toward where Che was standing.
Che peaked his head around the corner to look at Marcus and Johnny. "Yeah, you can come out Che," replied Manny.
Che had stepped entirely from around the road sign. Marcus and Johnny's expressions went from natural to full-on shock and surprise. Che smiled at them and waved "Hi…" he said softly.
"W-W –W-WHAT THE HELL?!" said Marcus stuttered frantically
"IS THAT…A ZOMBIE?!" Johnny said, pointing at Che and looking at Manny.
"Yup," said Manny with a nod. "His name is Che. He's a Zombie who's from a town full of Zombies.
"A TOWN FULL OF ZOMBIES?" Johnny repeated, dumbfounded at the idea of there being a town full of Zombies.
"You've gotta be kidding me…Giant Monsters, sewer creatures, and now Zombies…this city is freaking ridiculous!" Marcus ranted.
"Anyway," said Manny. "So, to fill you guys in…Che's whole family disappeared at Zombie town. He's the only one that was left behind. Che is a supervillain and all…but I just can't turn away someone who desperately needs help."
"His family missing huh?" said Marcus, looking over at Che.
"Wait…were you born a Zombie? Or…did you all…you know?" asked Johnny.
Che scratched the back of his messy, nasty hair thinking, "Ehhh…I don't remember," he replied, "All I can remember was waking up next to my father… It was like waking up from a very long nap…"
"Well…that's kind of sad but interesting…" said Marcus, intrigued.
"So we're heading into Zombie town to find some clues on where they could've gone?" said Johnny
"That's pretty much it," Manny replied with a nod.
"Like crime scene investigation," Marcus said, rubbing his chin at the thought of it. "I can dig it."
"Alright, Manny, we're in! lead the way!" Johnny said with a smile.
Manny sighed in relief and smiled. "Let's go!" he said to them.
…
The four of them had arrived in Zombie town. Like Che had told Manny, there wasn't a single Zombie insight. Manny remembered the first time he came here. You couldn't enter Zombie town without seeing a Zombie in every spot. Marcus stepped forward and looked around.
"Yup…not a single one in sight," said Marcus. "I can't sense anyone." He then turned to Che. "So what happened the following days before they disappeared?"
Che thought about it. "Well…I noticed that a lot of other Zombies were beginning to act weird. Some would stand in one spot…walk, then turn around and stand back where they originally were. The next day, my father and I saw a group of Zombie's hopping together at the same time," Che sniffled. "Then…the next morning…EVERYONE WAS GONE!" Che then fell to his knees and began crying his eyes out. Manny kneeled and patted him on the head, trying to calm him down.
"Well…that's strange," said Johnny, scratching his head. "Even though it's Zombies…"
"You know…Sartana can control the dead," said Marcus. "I'm sure she might be behind all of this."
"That doesn't sound like something she'd do," said Manny. "I mean, why would Satrtana want to mess around with a bunch of no-good zombies? No offense," he said to Che.
Che wipes his eyes. "None taken…"
"She's the only one I know in Miracle city that can manipulate the dead right?" asked Marcus
"Well yeah, if you also wanna count in Django."
Marcus then takes his attention off Manny, Che, and Johnny and looks around at the empty town. Manny noticed his expression. "What is it?" he whispered.
"Someone's here…" Marcus replied quietly.
"Where?" Manny asked, placing his fingers around his belt buckle.
"Well, boy, you sure can pick up on things quickly, can't you?" said a raspy female voice echoing around the area.
Then, right in front of them, coming from out of the ground, was an elder woman wrapped around in a brown cloak with long white hair. The older women's skin was tanned, and she had worts that covered her face. Her eyes were as white as her hair, and when she greeted the four boys with a smile, she only had two teeth in her mouth.
"Hola, boys! I want to thank you three for bringing me Che. He's the only one I missed!" said The white-haired woman.
Manny, Marcus, and Johnny stood in front of Che. Manny spins his belt, transforming into El Tigre, and extends his claws. Marcus drew his sword, and blue flames went around Johnny's leg. They were ready to take whoever this woman was on.
"How rude, you three aren't even going to introduce yourselves?" said The white-haired woman, disappointed
"Yeah, no, we've done this long enough to know you're the bad guy," said Manny.
"Coming out of the ground all mysterious-like," Johnny added in
"Age didn't go easy on you either I see," said Marcus
"You probably smell like hot filtered garbage," Manny said again.
"Speaking of which, I can smell your breath from here," said Marcus pinching his nose.
The lady stood there listening to Manny, Marcus, and Johnny continue to insult her. She had the face of (Are they really doing this right now) look. She then slightly raised her hand, and objects flew out from her cloak pocket. She slings them at three boys. The three of them notice this, and they barely dodge it, the things taking strands of Marcus and Johnny's hair, and they fly into the air.
"Alright, you ugly sow! Come here!" Marcus charges at The white-haired lady and swings his sword. But before the blade could touch her, a Zombie appeared out of the ground taking the slash. "What the heck?"
"LOCO!" Che called out in shock.
"Loco?!" Marcus said in confusion before the Zombie punched Marcus sending him flying into one of the abandoned buildings.
Then, slowly sprouting from the ground came all of the zombies that disappeared, including General Chapuza, Che's father. The white-haired lady let out a cackling laugh "YES! MY ZOMBIE'S RISE!" She screeched.
"A necromancer…just like that vampire girl…" Manny whispered.
"Oh, come on, not this again!" Johnny griped.
"FATHER!" Che rushed past Manny and Johnny.
"Che hold on!" Manny called out to him.
Che stood in front of his father, smiling. "Oh, papa! I'm so happy that you're ok! I was so worried about you!" Che's eyes became watery as he stared at his father in happiness. Che's smile faded as he stared into his father's eyes. His father's eyes and the rest of the Zombies were pure white, replacing their usual yellow. "F-Father?" Che whispered. "What's wrong with you?"
The Zombies then all stepped aside as Leverra walked slowly toward Che. "Nothing's wrong with them, my sweet," said Leverra, with a twisted smile. "They are back in my control now after so many years!"
"W-What are you talking about?" Che stuttered, taking a step back.
"Of course, you don't remember. I'm not expecting you to. I was the one who brought all of you back from the dead!" Leverra spat.
Che's eyes widened "You…you…what?"
"That's right…it was many years ago…I remember it like it was yesterday. I was pursued by someone like me who had this pathetic moral code. I found myself in this very town that a group of vicious Bandidos had just attacked. I saw my opportunity to work my powers. I had brought back everyone in this town that was massacred back to life! And I sicked them on all the Bandidos!" Leverra closed her eyes, smiling at the memory. "It was the first time I had ever used my magic…oh what a memory…" But then her smile soon faded. "Then SHE found me…that woman ruined everything! She defeated me, breaking the spell I had put on all of you! I had lost the undead army I would use to take over this city!" She then turned to Che. "I'm tired of talking…now hold still!"
Leverra held out her finger and touched Che's forehead. Che's yellow eyes now turned bright white. He stood still momentarily and then turned to face Manny, Marcus, and Johnny.
"Now…what to do with you three?" Leverra tapped her finger on her bumpy chin. "Ah, that's right! I almost forgot!" She clenched her hands, and the objects that seized Marcus and Johnny's hair were at the tip of them. Leverra takes out a straw doll and quickly ties a lock of Johnny's hair onto it.
"Is that a straw doll?!" said Johnny confused.
"WITNESS MY OTHER POWER!" Screamed Leverra as she started moving the dolls around quickly.
"What the heck is she-WHOOAA!" Marcus yelled as he was suddenly flung around in the air along with Johnny.
"WHAT'S GOING ON WITH MY BODY?!" Johnny said, terrified as his arm and legs began moving against his will.
"HEY!" Manny glared at Leverra. "WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU DOING?"
"This is my voodoo powers!" Leverra cackled as she flung the dolls around in her hands. Marcus and Johnny's bodies were thrown around as she did this.
"THIS DOESN'T FEEL RIIIIIIGHT!" Johnny yelled
"DAMN IT, YOU OLD HAG! LET US GO!" Marcus bellowed.
"AHHHAHAHA! NEVER!" Leverra laughed maniacally
"Then I'll make you!" Manny extends his claws and charges at Leverra. Immediately the Zombie's blocked Manny's path and was ready to stop him. "Sorry guys! You're in my way!" Manny slashed his way through Zombies, their body parts flying everywhere.
"Let's see if you can do that to your friends!" Leverra smirked as she placed Marcus and Johnny in front of her as a shield.
Manny stopped dead in his track and gasped. This caused Leverra to use one of her Zombie minions to punch Manny in the face and send him flying back. Leverra lets out another evil cackle as she holds the voodoo dolls up and mushes the two of them together. This caused Marcus and Johnny's bodies to collide, and she placed them down on the ground.
"OH, GODDAMN IT!" Johnny yelled. He was moving his head away from Marcus's as much as possible.
"Ugh…and to think I'd be on top in this situation…" Marcus groaned in disappointment.
Leverra then takes out a knife causing Manny to let out a loud gasp. "NO!" Manny cried out. "NOOOOOOO!" Manny screamed at the top of his lungs. His scream turned into a vicious roar that shook the whole area. A green flash erupts from Manny's body, sending Marcus, Johnny, Leverra, and the Zombies flying. Once Manny's screaming faded, he surveyed the area. Everyone was laid out on the ground, and Zombie parts were scattered.
"W-Whoa…" said Manny, in awe. Marcus and Johnny groaned as they got to their feet. They noticed that their bodies were free.
"Jeez Manny, what the heck?" said Johnny, dazed and groaning in pain. "That's the first time I ever did that…" said Manny surprised. He then thought back to the first El Tigre. El Tigre 1 demonstrated a power shout-wave that almost blew away the whole home they were staying in. Manny's shout was nearly identical to his.
"Damn near broke my neck…" said Marcus, messaging his neck. He looked around the area. He noticed that Levera was nowhere to be seen. "Oh, you gotta be kidding me!" The Zombies had disappeared as well.
"She's gone?" Manny looked around. "SHOOT!" he snapped his fingers in frustration.
"Well, that's a problem. So much for helping Zombie boy out…" said Johnny. He began walking around the area and staring at the destroyed buildings till he kicked a glass bottle on the ground. "Huh?" He looks at the odd-shaped bottle on the ground. "What's this?" Johnny kneels and picks it up. It didn't seem full of any liquid, yet it was full of mist.
"Hey Johnny, what did you find?" said Manny rushing over to Johnny along with Marcus.
"I think she dropped this?" said Johnny, showing Manny and Marcus the bottle.. "Probably didn't even notice after that roar you did."
"Is that fog?" Marcus asked, staring at the bottle.
"It looks like it?" Manny replied, "Hey Marcus, do that devil eyes thingy on it. Maybe you can see something."
"I'll try…" Marcus's eye's turned red and he stared into the bottle. "What the hell?" he said, confused.
"What do you see?" Manny asked eagerly.
"Someone's in there…" said Marcus.
"WHAT?" said Manny and Johnny shocked.
"Well, what are you waiting for? Open it!" said Marcus hastily
"R-Right!" Manny said as he pulled his hand around the bottle's top. As he did so, the fog burst from the bottle's opening, and Manny suddenly dropped it. The bottle shook violently as the fog emptied. A figure's shadow could be seen in the mist and fell to the ground.
As the fog cleared, the three boys gasped. A woman with long purple hair at waist length lay on the ground. Her skin was tan, and she wore a gorgeous dress with purple and white dots.
"Dios…Mio…" said the purple-haired woman. "Oooh, my head…where am I?" Her voice was smooth and gentle. The woman gets to her feet, only to fall to her knees.
"H-Hey!" Manny said, rushing over to the woman but was shoved by Marcus, who rushed over and helped her. "OOF! HEY!"
"Are you ok?" Marcus said softly to her.
"I think so..." She looks up at Marcus.
Hearts immediately appeared in his eyes when he saw her face. The women's eyes were multi-colored. Her left had a shade of white mixed with gold, and on the left had a mixture of green and orange.
"Who are you?" she asked
Marcus's eyes went from hearts to gleaming sparkles. "My name is Marcus…I'm the one who freed you from your prison," He made his voice more profound, and he held her hand softly.
"AHEM! THAT WAS ME!" Manny shouted at Marcus.
"Ignore the cat. He gets angry when he hasn't been fed," said Marcus, all gentlemen-like. Suddenly Johnny kicked Marcus in the face sending him flying
"You're the one who needs to be ignored," said Johnny, annoyed. "Ugh, sorry about that. Are you ok? How long were you trapped in that bottle?"
"I…I don't know…" said the woman, she suddenly gasped, "W-WHERE'S LEVERRA?" She suddenly shouts, "SHE'S ONE WHO PUT ME IN THAT BOTTLE!"
"Leverra?" Manny looked at Johnny.
"She must be talking about that woman we were fighting," Johnny assumed. "Do you mean the-ARGH!" Marcus suddenly kicks Johnny in the face, and he jumps on him. The two of them began wrestling
"THAT'S THE SECOND TIME IN A ROW YOU BLINDSIDE ME! AND YOU'RE LAST!" Marcus screamed as he put Johnny in a headlock
"YOU JACKASS! I'll MAKE SURE TO CRACK YOUR SKULL NEXT TIME!" Johnny said as he reversed Marcus's and placed his arm in a hold.
"ARGH! YOU BIRDBRAIN PUNK!" Marcus shouts in pain.
The purple-haired girl and Manny watched the two boys fight and exchange curse words at each other.
"Uh…" The women watched in confusion.
"Don't worry about them! They're not serious…I think…" said Manny, as he chuckled unsurely.
"You're El Tigre…" said the woman in awe. "But…you're a lot shorter now…and you sound younger."
"Well, i mean…I expect to get taller and my voice to get deeper at some point-wait. What do you mean shorter and younger now?"
The Purple-haired woman lowered her head. "I must have been in that bottle…for a very long time…" she said sadly.
"Oh…" Manny gasped. "You weren't placed in there recently, were you?"
She shook her head no. "So…you must be the new El Tigre…" she looked up at him.
"You're from THAT time? Oh man…" said Manny, rubbing his arm. Manny then holds out his hand. "Think you can stand?"
"I'll try…it has been hundreds of years since I've stood on my own two feet, after all,"
The woman was tall, almost 6 feet, Manny noticed as she helped her stand up. Once Manny helped her, she took her to a small building that wasn't entirely destroyed. Marcus and Johnny had finished their small fight right after Manny had stopped it by bonking their heads together. The woman sat down on the steps of the old building and stared at her body.
"So, what's your name?" Manny asked.
"Violeta," Violeta replied.
"I'm Manny, Manny Rivera!" said Manny with a smile. "This Marcus and Johnny!"
"Hola, Senorita," said Marcus smoothly as he stared at Violeta.
"The only two Spanish words you're willing to learn…" Johnny rolled his eyes but then smiled at Violeta. "It's nice to meet you,"
Violeta giggles. "Hola, Marcus," "Si, likewise," she replied to Johnny. *
"So I remember Leverra going on and on about being chased by a woman, I guess that person was you?" asked Manny
"Si, Leverra, and I came from the same Village. She and I were healers. We tended to the wounds of and cured illnesses with our magic," Violeta then sighed,
"You can do healing magic?" Johnny asked in awe.
"Yes, with my voodoo," Violeta nods.
"Wait…I thought voodoo was for controlling people and…well you know," said Manny confused.
"No, Voodoo is a method that is used to heal, not cause harm!" Violeta said passionately, "It is meant to help…not used to kill…" She then went to think about Leverra. "Not till Leverra changed that…"
"So she's why Voodoo is mainly known for…creepy stuff?" Marcus asked.
"She's part of it," Violeta nods disappointingly. "But not the first. I met Leverra when I was young. My mother introduced me to her. The two of us had practiced our Voodoo abilities when we were kids. At the time, I thought Leverra had been practicing the healing capability. However, she had been developing the dark side of Voodooism. Leverra, the girl I thought was sweet and caring, had turned into a vicious, cold-hearted witch who turned against our village." Violeta's voice quivered as she remembered that day. "Once that accident happened, I went after Leverra…I chased her through so many different towns hunting her…till finally," Violeta looked around at Zombie town. "We ended up here…"
"How did you end up in that bottle?" Manny asked curiously.
"Well, once I caught up with Leverra, the two of us battled. My magic was too much for her, and her freshly revived corpses didn't help either. So…she took out the bottle and trapped me in there. I'm not sure what it was…but It had something to do with time," said Violeta
"A time trap bottle, that's crazy," said Marcus in awe.
"I wonder if that was the only item from that time," Johnny said, looking over at the stop where the glass bottle shattered.
"Hold on a second…" said Manny, a thought suddenly coming to him. "If you were from like…hundreds and hundreds of years ago…"
"Manny, you know it's not polite to ask a lady her age so I'm going to stop you right there," said Marcus, cutting him off.
"NO! I wasn't going to ask that!" Manny yelled at Marcus with a glare. "I was going to ask how Leverra is still alive!"
Marcus and Johnny's eyes widened. "Holy crap, you're right!" said Johnny
"Come to think of it, that withered old hag looked like she was from the 16th or 17th century…" said Marcus
"So I'm guessing that her project didn't turn out well…" said Violetta with a smirk.
"Huh?" said The three boys together
"Leverra had told me she was trying to devise a spell to stop aging completely. Although…at the cost, she would have to use real people to do so…" said Violeta. Then a frown appeared on her face. "She said it so carelessly…it was the first sign of her wickedness, but I brushed it aside…"
Marcus gets to his feet, stretches, and grabs his sword. "Well, I think we all get the gist of this. The crazy old witch voodoo lady is evil and needs to be stopped. All we need to do is find her so we can end this,"
"Heck yeah!" said Manny with a grin as he punched his hand into his left hand.
"Took the words right out of my mouth, hot head," said Johnny, nodding and then popping his neck.
"Just…who are you kids?" asked Violeta, in awe at the bravery these three boys showed her.
"Well to summarize it. Super Macho El Tigre," Manny said, pointing his right thumb at himself. "Super cool, Pheonix Johnny, " Johnny blushed "Aww Manny…" He said as he rubbed the back of his head embarrassed, "And…Fire breathing dude," He points at Marcus.
"OH, COME ON!" Marcus shouted, glaring at Manny. "WHAT WAS THAT?"
"The truth," Manny grins mischievously
"Trust Me, Ms. Violeta, we're used to all of this!" said Johnny getting to his feet.
Violeta was not used to seeing children fight against such dangers at Leverra. But these kids, this was just another Friday. Violeta giggled, and she took to her feet. "So I guess Leverra got away from you all? No worries,"
"Yeah she did, I was just about to ask if you had any ideas of how to find her," asked Manny
"No worries," Violeta said, walking over to the piece of the broken glass bottle that she was sealed in. She picked up a piece, and the shard glowed blue and hovered In the air. "Show me…where she is…" she murmured. And just like that, a glowing blue trail, followed by small particles in the air made a pathway that expanded miles.
"WHOA!" gasped Manny. "What did you do?"
"It's a tracking spell I made. I based the ability on animals that can find someone with their sent. It's what I've used to tail her all of this time,"
"Perfect!" said Marcus
"Alright…Let's get Che and his family back!"
…
"She's probably free by now…" Leverra murmured, "I know they freed her…DAMN IT!" Leverra knocks some items off of her shelf in frustration. "Now I have to deal with all four of them!" She placed her eyes on the books she was reading. "I have to think of something. Although they're kids, they're too strong for me to handle…" Her eyes suddenly widened. "That's it…THAT spell…I haven't completed it yet but this will be the perfect opportunity to use it! HAAHHAHAHA!"
…
The group had arrived on the outskirts of Miracle city. It was deeper into the desert. Far out from where Manny had ever gone. Far ahead, they could see a shack surrounded by a wooden fence.
"So that's where she's hiding, huh?" said Marcus, cracking his knuckles.
"Yes, this is where the trail ends," said Violeta.
"How do you think we should approach this?" Johnny asked. "I say a sneak attack!"
Violeta nods. "Agreed…if we sneak up on her, we can-"
"HEY, YOU OLD HAG!" Manny yelled. "YOU SMELL LIKE A FRESH FART! COME OUT HERE AND FIGHT US!"
Johnny and Violeta looked at Manny in surprise. Marcus held out his hands, and fire engulfed them. "If she doesn't wanna come out, I'll set fire to the whole damn thing!"
Before Marcus could do anything, Zombies suddenly burst from the ground. On the front lines were Che and his father, General Chapuza. A loud cackling laugh could be her coming from behind Zombies. "I see you all found my hideout," said Levera as Che and Chapuza stepped aside to let Leverra through. "Violeta…It's been a very long time."
"I have nothing else to say to you! You might have trapped me in that godforsaken bottle, but it won't happen again!" said Violeta.
"YEAH!" said Manny. "Now let Che and all of these Zombies go before we really put a beating on you!"
Leverra laughed. "It's incredible how far you all will go for these worthless undead husks. I'm curious, what are they to you? They don't have a soul anymore. If anything, they're acting as they should be."
"WRONG!" said Manny. "That same Zombie you call soulless cried tears of sadness when he came pleading to me! No one without a soul could ever do that!"
"YOU'RE RIGHT!" said Leverra. "Undead do have half of their soul when rising being brought back from the dead! Allow me to show you!"
Leverra held out her hand. All of the zombies surrounding her shack's mouths opened. A glowing blue light was slowly leaving out from the Zombie's mouths, and they were all piling up in the palm of Leverra's hand. Once they were all gone, the Zombie's collapsed to the ground.
Violeta gasped. "Leverra…you-you didn't…"
"I did," said Leverra. "While I failed in my plan to gain immortality…I learned of another way to keep myself alive. And that's eating souls!" She opened her mouth and consumed the souls of the Zombies. As she did this, she began coughing violently. She placed her hand around her throat and started screaming as if she had completely lost her mind. Lverra's eyes had gone pitch black, and a purple glow resonated around her. That's when Leverra began to grow, and grow, and grow. Her body began to expand, and her limbs grew longer and longer. All the humanity left in her was completely gone. She had become a true monster.
"Holy crap…" said Johnny, staring at her.
"Stupid old hag," said Marcus. "You just made yourself an easy target!"
"Come on guys…let's take this loco down!" said Manny.
Johnny nods, and three of them charge in. Leverra swats her hand at the three, but they were all quick enough to avoid it. A ball of fire engulfed Marcus's hands and sent it straight at Leverra's face. She lets out a cry of pain as the fire burns her.
"THAT'S NOT THE END OF IT!" said Johnny as he summoned up his wings, flew in the air picking up speed, and kicked her right in the gut. Leverra uttered a monstrous cry as she was hurdled into the air.
Manny leaps into the air, extends his claws, and slices at Leverra, leaving scars all over his body, and is punched to the ground with a shaking thud. Leverra groaned as she laid there. Even with all the strength she gathered…it didn't matter.
Violeta walked over to Leverra and took out a knife that had symbols written all over the blade. "This is where your story ends Leverra. You've spent all of your life running away from death by taking the lives of others. Now…it all stops here," Violeta mummers something under her breath, and the symbols on the knife glowed. Violeta stabs Leverra, and she lets out a sharp cry. The souls of the Zombie she ate began to leave her body and return to the inhabitants of Zombie town.
"Ooooh…" Che groaned. "W-What happened?"
"Where are we?" said General Chapuza as he awakened.
"Che, are you ok?" said Manny rushing over to him.
"El Tigre?" said Che, staring at him. "W-Wait! What happened to that weird lady?"
"She blew up," said Marcus. "You don't need to worry about her anymore."
"El Tigre…" said General Chapuza. "You saved us? But why?"
"Well…Che asked me to help out. That and I'm a hero after all, so…it's what I do!" said Manny happily.
"I see," said General Chapuza. "Well…as mayor of Zombie Town I thank you for returning us back to our senses. But…best be known this doesn't change anything! We will return to being mortal enemies and clash soon El Tigre!"
"Sure thing!" said Manny, smiling.
"Tch…you supervillains are a bunch of weirdos!" said Marcus, shaking his head.
"Come Che! Let us go home!" said General Chapuza as he a group of Zombies began walking home.
"Umm…" Che said, rubbing his arm. "Thank you El Tigre…"
"No sweat Che! I hope we can play soccer again soon!" said Manny.
Che smiled. He turned around to catch up with his father as they returned to Zombie town.
Marcus let out a big sigh. "So that's how it feels to be in a horror movie. I don't like it,"
"I would make a joke, but I don't feel comfortable crossing that line," said Johnny.
"Yeaaah It's best to say whatever you going to say in your mind," said Manny.
The three of them look over at Violeta. She was standing there looking at the tattered remains of Leverra's clothing. Manny walks over to Violeta and asked,
"So…what are you going to do now?" asked Manny.
"I'm not sure," said Violeta, placing her knife back into her robes. "Honestly, everything is finally starting to sink in for me. I've been sealed in a bottle for hundreds of years, and now I'm in a completely different time. I'm don't know what to do…"
"You can stay with me till then," said Marcus, quickly.
Johnny grasped Marcus by the back of his shirt and pulled him forward. "Knock it off…"
"Well, I guess we should start by taking you to Miracle city!" said Manny. "Once we figure out something, I'm sure we can arrange a place for you to stay!"
"A-Are you sure? I don't want to intrude…"
"Oh come on," said Johnny. "Why in the world would we just ditch you like that?"
"You all are so kind…thank you," said Violeta smiling at them.
The group would be on their way back to Miracle city. On the way, Manny thought back to the mighty tiger shout he did at Zombie town. He didn't know he could pull that off with half of his power sealed up. That's when Tetsuo's words echoed in his head. "You haven't broken the seal yourself yet?"
It was this…that motivated Manny to reawaken his true potential.
