Aquaformer kept up her crazy pace, unaware she now had a skilled tail. Thankfully it was not one of the rogue seekers that was still around. It was the quiet moving Skyfire who was flying higher than Aquaformer was. Skyfire spotted the femme jet. He could tell something was wrong, but he wasn't sure how to approach the femme. In Skrfire's studies, he had read that disturbing a sleepwalking human could lead to good or bad consequences. And since finding out from Optimus that Aquaformer had blasted off while sleep walking,Skyfire assumed that the results for waking a sleep walking bot could be the same.
Then Skyfire remembered something from a chat he had once had with Aquaformer. She had served as a leader of a band of bots, but the bot over Aquaformer was a bot named War Hawk, a mech that Aquaformer had great respect for but no interest in as the bot refused to like any bot, mech or femme, because the bot loved himself too much. Skyfire wondered if he presented himself to be like War Hawk, if he could convince the femme to land.
"War hawk to Aquaformer, come in Aquaformer. I need a status report ASAP" Skyfire demanded over the comm between the two of them, as Skyfire had researched how War Hawk worked as a military bot. He didn't quite expect the response he got.
"The team is missing and I survived alone, sir. I am badly damaged and there are no medibots near my sector" Aquaformer revealed. Skyfire was puzzled, but he didn't let on. He also was stunned she answered him. But then he thought about her answer.
"Why is your team missing, Aquaformer?" Skyfire fired back at Aquaformer, once again imitating War Hawk. He wanted more informatio.
Skyfire could hear Aquaformer sigh. "You never allowed me to lie, sir. They are all dead and I barely survived. We were caught off guard by Starscream and his trine mates. I tried repairing the bots, but it didn't work" Aquaformer revealed. Unknowingly telling Skyfire more than the bot wanted to know about the reality that Aquaformer thought she was in.
"I need you to land, now" Skyfire stated.
"But, sir. If I land, I will be slaughtered" Aquaformer stated, knowing it would be the truth if she had done it in real life so long ago.
"Those are my orders. LAND NOW!" Skyfire commanded, still trying to sound like War Hawk.
"Yes, sir" Aquaformer replied sorrowfully and Skyfire watched as Aquaformer began to descend towards the ground. And then he realized, she was falling too fast. He quietly moved himself so that he was below her. He knew it would do no good if she crashed. Carefully, Skyfire helped Aquaformer land.
Once both were on the ground safely, Skyfire tried to carefully wake up the sleep walking bot. Slowly, Aquaformer came around. She shook a bit, she had no idea where she was. All she knew was it was cold and the ground was covered with white stuff. "Skyfire!? What's going on? Where are we?"
"Optimus mention that you were sleep walking, after he talked with Ratchet. Chip saw you blast out of the base. I found your jet trail and followed all the way up here. You had to fly to northern Minnesota. Why I don't know, but that is where we are. Would you like a ride back to base?" Skyfire asked in his normal tone of voice. Aquaformer nodded, too weak to refuse the offer. She climbed into Skyfire's jet mode and the two headed back towards the base, while Skyfire updated the others. Optimus, happy to hear his mate was rescued, made sure to call all the Autobots that had gone out to search to come back to base. Optimus also commed Ratchet to have the med bay ready. Now all that had to happen was for everyone to get back to the base.
