Set after episode 5

It was a normal night at the monastery. At least it would be if a certain red ninja weren't playing video games late into the night.

"Mwahaha since Cole, Nya, Jay and Zane are away I get a chance to beat Cole's high score on Lava Zombies with no interruptions ." Kai thought maliciously

"Kai what are you doing?" Lloyd walked in with Riyu unimpressed.

"Uh, hello playing video games!" Kai replied not looking away from the screen.

"It's nearly midnight!"

"So?" Kai shrugged.

"You should be asleep?" Lloyd groaned unamused with Kai's actions.

"Yeah, no I finally have an opportunity to claim the high score for myself and it has been so long since I've played video games, please let me have this Lloyd."

"Ugh fine but don't stay too long and remember I've beaten your high score once already I can do it again." Lloyd walked out.

While this conversation was going on Riyu was tapping the screen curious of the lava creatures attacking the mini person on the screen.

"Hey, hey Riyu, go away!" Kai tried to shoo the little dragon away.

Riyu just whimpered and left quickly.

"I am going to be the Lava Zombie King!" Kai cheered.

"Has Kai woke up yet?" Lloyd asked his students at breakfast.

They had been given some time off from training that morning.

Riyu growled at the mention of Kai.

"No, we haven't seen him all morning?" Arin said, drinking his milk.

"I told him not to stay up all night, ugh let me go wake him up?" Lloyd left without finishing his breakfast.

Riyu thought it was unfair to leave such good pancakes so he ate the rest igm

"Kai, Kai! Wake up!" Lloyd shook Kai.

"Five more minutes Nya!" Lloyd was angry now.

"WAKE UP KAI!!!" Lloyd hit Kai with his stick multiple times.

"Ow, ow Lloyd! What the heck was that for?" Kai groaned.

"You're missing breakfast."

"Oh. Anyways guess what! I finally took the top spot on the leaderboard." Kai eagerly loaded the game.

"Oh great maybe you'll stop being so obsessive now." Lloyd sighed.

"See, look here. Number one spot belongs to…

Haaaaaaaaaaasaaaaaaa!" Kai screamed so loud the whole monastery could hear it.

"Geez Kai, what the heck is wrong with you?" Lloyd whacked him again just for safety.

"Someone beat my high score! Someone BEAT MY HIGH SCORE! IT WAS YOU WASN'T IT!"

"What? No, I haven't come in here since I talked to you last night!" Lloyd defended himself knowing Kai would probably still blame him.

"OF COuRSE It WaS YOU! Who else could've done this?"

"Kai be reasonable, you can just check who beat your record."

"I can't, they were playing on guest mode!"

Riyu walked in, innocently investigating the loud scream he heard.

"It was Riyu, wasn't it!!"

"Kai, he's a dragon? How is he supposed to hold the controller?"

"Mmh okay fine. What about Arin and Sora?"

"They were asleep the entire night!"

"And how do you know that! They could've snuck in while we were asleep."

"That's it Kai, you need to calm down! You better not be accusing my kids! Don't make me bring Nya here."

"Fine, but when I find the culprit who destroyed my chances at becoming Lava Zombie King they will regret it!" Kai said dramatically. Lloyd just rolled his eyes.

When Kai and Lloyd walked in they noticed Sora and Arin cleaning the floor with paper towels.

"What happened here?"

Sora replied not looking at him. "After we heard the obnoxiously loud girly scream Arin spilled his milk on me and I ended up spilling my pancakes."

"And I'm still sorry for that Sora!" Arin apologized meekly.

"I said it was fine."

"But I still feel infinitely bad."

"Just help me clean it up and-"

"Ahem excuse me, sorry to interrupt. I was wondering which one of you best my high score in Lava Zombies!" Kai interrupted their banter.

This caused Kai to get whacked in the head again.

"I'm sorry guys, that scream came from Kai. He was upset over his dumb video game."

"Excuse you, video games are life in this household. The only other joy we have after a grueling day of training with Master Wu! Now please who did it!"

"KAI!"

"Oh it's that Lava Zombie game right? I was playing on it this morning? I think I'm getting used to waking up at the crack of dawn." Sora said casually picking up the plates.

"Sora? Come on. It took me all night to get as far as I did!" Kai whined like a child.

"I'm sorry," Sora said sadly.

"No Sora you don't need to apologize. You were just playing."

"But my highscore took me hours." Kai moped at the table.

"It took you hours? It took me like 30 minutes before I got bored?"

"30?!" Kai and Lloyd both screamed.

"Gosh would everyone please stop yelling!" Arin also yelled. Sora was really glad to have her headphones.

"I've worked on inventions harder than that video game so it was pretty easy."

Kai and Lloyd were just staring in awe.

"Ah please you never even played a video game until I showed you one. And if it weren't for my stellar coaching skills you wouldn't be the star player you are today!" Arin acted as if he was an athlete coach.

"Gosh I remember how hyper you were when I played my first video game. You were zooming across the penthouse in excitement when we found an old game console in the junkyard." Sora rubbed Arin's hair.

Kai looked at Lloyd. Lloyd looked at Kai. That's when Lloyd got an idea.

"Hey Kai, I have an idea." Kai still looked depressed.

"What if we get Sora to play, have her beat her high score and you can brag about it to the other ninja that you got the high score when we find them. How does that sound?"

Kai was speechless.

"Lloyd that is diabolical, ingenuous, messed up and also- "

"I don't mind doing it!'" Sora volunteered.

"What really?" Kai's mind was finally made up. "Okay no take backs! Let's go." And be dragged Sora all the way to the game room leaving Arin to clean up the mess on the ground.

"So we're going to miss training for a video game?" Arin asked Lloyd.

"Noo, consider it supplemental ninja training. Now come on, I don't want to miss this!" Lloyd rushed out of the room.

"Hey, wait for me!" Arin rushed out as well leaving Riyu to eat the rest of the food.

~In the game room~

"Come on Sora you're so close!"

"Only a few more hits to-go!"

"Rowr, Rowr!"

"I'm going to be Lava Zombie King! I mean Sora technically is. Oh wait no she would be Lava Zombie Queen right?" Kai looked around, receiving unanimous answers.

"I'm almost…. I did it!!!"

"Wooohooo!" Everyone cheered and celebrated!

"Haha no one's going to touch me now!" Kai laughed.

"I still think I'm a great coach." Arin held his head out high.

"Mwehehe no one will be able to take the crown from me!" Kai laughed maniacally standing on the couch.

"Ahem." Lloyd gave Kai a death stare.

"What?" Kai gruffer

" You still need to apologize to all of us for accusing us of beating your score, gracing us with your loud scream that scared poor Arin and Sora, and yelling at poor Riyu twice!" Lloyd listed everything he could think of.

"What why do I have to do-" Kai stopped seeing Lloyd's anger rise.

He knew the consequences of angering Lloyd.

"I am so sorry for yelling at everyone and for being so obsessed with the game!" Kai jumped down and recited quickly out of fear of what Lloyd could do.

"Thank you Kai for the apology."

"Okay Lloyd you're creeping me out. You sound too much like Master Wu."

"I'm glad somebody does."

"Well I'm not happy.Stop acting like an old dude"

"Why you!"

Kai and Lloyd begin to argue like siblings.

"They act a lot like siblings." Sora said to Arin.

"But we act the exact same way." Arin motioned in Lloyd and Kai's direction.

"But we don't argue like that…do we?"

~Later after episode 10~

"Oh,and Zane, I was finally able to beat Cole's score in Lava Zombie's!" Kai said, walking into the game room.

"Congratulations Kai! How were you able to do it?" Zane asked curiously.

"Yeah, how much time did you spend on that game?" Nya really didn't want to hear the number of hours, maybe even days he probably spent on the game.

"For your information it took me half an hour. No more no less." He mouths it out just to mock Nya.

"I still don't believe you."

"Well I don't care because my top score is right there and it will be for awhile!"

"Not on my watch." Zane jumped on the couch and began to play.

Nya walked out not infested in watching Zane try to beat Kai play when she met Lloyd in the hallways.

"Did Kai really beat Cole's score in 30 minutes?"

"Nah, it was Sora, she's a natural gamer. We just asked Sora to play and make it seem like Kai got the top score."

"Ooo now that's some good blackmail material" Nya chuckled.

Btw Riyu got a stomachache after eating all those pancake leftovers.

Mhm I think I made Kai a jerk. I'm sorry but Kai did cry over a video game in episode 9 so he probably would get upset over a video game score. Oh, wait he already did in season 1 (the o.g season 1), when Lloyd absolutely destroyed his Fist to Face 2 score. I feel Sora could definitely be a gamer, she's got tech skills and cat ear headphones. Gamer material right their people!
