Aquaformer and Optimus soon arrived back to their quarters with their precious little ones. And unknown to Optimus, Aquaformer had gone from being mad to being worried. Granted, she was upset about the situation, but she feared she had overreacted to something simple. She wasn't sure how she should feel and was worried she had now made enemies out of those who she had considered friends.
Once Optimus and Aquaformer got home, Optimus thanked the babysitters and sent them on their way. The babysitters soon left. Optimus then noticed his mate didn't seem to be acting like herself. And so, in order to help figure out things, Optimus carefully took care of the six little ones and got them laid down for a nap. Then and only then did Optimus decide to gently confront his mate.
Optimus made sure to carefully approach her, offering the femme an energon cube. "Some energon for your thoughts?" Optimus asked, trying to see what was bothering his mate.
Aquaformer didn't verbally answer right away but she did take the offered energon. It was tasteless to her as she was that worried. After a few more seconds of silence, Aquaformer finally spoke. "Am I wrong?" She asked, trying to figure things out.
"Wrong about what?" Optimus asked, a bit confused. He could easily understand why Aquaformer had been so upset, but he wasn't quite sure why she seemed worried.
"Wrong about the way I reacted? Did I overreact to what happened?" Aquaformer asked, feeling guilty for what she felt she had done.
"Love, I can understand you being upset at not being able to locate our sparklings. I don't understand what you are worried about" Optimus answered honestly, still a bit confused at why Aquaformer was so worried.
"Don't you think Bee and Mirage will hate me and never want to watch our sparklings again because I was out of line?" Aquaformer asked, her anxiety obvious now. Aquaformer soon finished her energon cube, but it didn't make her feel much better.
Optimus realized what was going on and went to his mate, gently hugging her. Tears started to flow from her optics as she hated what she felt she had to do. "Love, I don't think you overreacted and I don't think Bee and Mirage will hate you. If you would like, I can go with you to talk to them about this so that all of us are on the same page." Aquaformer nodded. She wanted that but wasn't quite ready for it yet. "Come, let us rest and then we can talk with them" Optimus said. Aquaformer nodded. She hoped once she was rested that they could straighten this all out. Until then, she would try and rest.
