"Wheeljack to Aquaformer, come in Aquaformer" a nervous Jack commed. He hoped Aquaformer wouldn't ream him for this.
"Aquaformer here. Go ahead, Wheeljack" tired but firm with a hint of annoyance Aquaformer answered.
Jack figured he deserved that after what had happened and was relieved she wasn't about ready to blow him to pieces. "With Perceptor's help, we have found a way to reverse the effect of the machine. We have returned Hide and I to normal size. The only one left to return…is Optimus."
Aquaformer heard the news but was skeptical. "Are you sure? How can I trust you as you were at fault in the first place" Aquaformer charged. She wasn't furious but she was upset.
Then Aquaformer received another comm. It was Perceptor. "Aquaformer, I don't blame you for not believing Wheeljack, but please trust me. The machine has been fixed and we are awaiting Optimus' arrival to return him to normal size."
Aquaformer relented a bit then. "I would bring him, but I can't leave our little ones here alone and you are not bringing that machine here" she replied firmly.
"I will send Mirage and another bot or two to watch the little ones. Please bring Optimus before this potentially becomes permanent" Percy answered and then had Jack comm Mirage and another trusted bot to go to the quarters to watch the little ones.
In the quarters, worried but not wanting to show it, Aquaformer held her small mate. "You can trust them, Aquaformer. They only want what is best" Optimus offered up. He knew she trusted him and she needed to really trust him now.
"Easy to trust others when you haven't been burned over and over" Aquaformer retorted, though she was hoping that they were going to arrive. Then a knock came to the door.
Aquaformer slowly got up and went to the door. Upon opening it, she saw Mirage, Bee, and another bot to watch the little ones. "Go, Aquaformer, we got this" Mirage warmly encouraged. Trusting Mirage and Bee, Aquaformer left. She still wasn't quite sure, but she hoped she wasn't misplacing her trust.
They soon arrived at the lab where Perceptor and a now returned to normal sized Wheeljack were talking. Aquaformer coughed to announce her arrival. She still was a bit hesitant but she also knew Optimus needed to be returned or he would be of no help to anyone much less her and their sparklings. "We are here. This better work…" she said, still guarded in her trust around these two. Both nodded in understanding. She put Optimus where she was told to. Now she could only hope this would work correctly or there would be hell to pay.
