Bio: Born in California, Jacob was bored of the normal life in America. When rumors about the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone and the discovery of anomalies and artifacts. With training and gear bought with money he saved. He traveled to Ukraine and became a Stalker, earning a good amount of wealth. Experiencing the dangers of the Zone, he got his scar from a mutant Snork when it jumped him on his face. He got his nickname Helios when he used his AR-15 to snipe bandits and mutants with the sun behind him as they couldn't see him. He is also one of many Stalkers to enter the center of the Zone when the famous Stalker, Strelok, formerly known as the Marked One, deactivated the Brain Scorcher. Now as he is exploring more in the Garbage, he discovers an anomaly that will change the Zone more as it is.

Garbage

August 25, 2012

Jacob walked through the rusted vehicles and junkyards of the Garbage, the air filled with both radiation and anomalies in the Zone. His AR-15 in hand, he scouted the area for any local bandits before moving on his trek. He has gotten used to his life in the Zone, though he usually misses the good days in California, enjoying a nice cheeseburger with a Sprite at Mcdonalds, playing Call of Duty Black Ops 2 on the Xbox 360 after his shift, even hearing a new Pokémon game coming on the new 3DS next year. Then again it was his choice to become a Stalker, he got to use Rubles instead of Dollars, eat bread and sausages and drink vodka, and patch up wounds and heal from radiation.

In short it's crap, but again that is his choice.

Jacob groaned at his thoughts, then he tossed a bolt in a random direction to check for any anomalies.

*THUNK*

"PIKA!"

'Wait what?'

Jacob stopped himself at the sound of a cry from a creature he thought impossible. He follow to the source of the cry, hiding in the brush, he poke his head out and to see-

"No fucking way…"

Right in front of his eyes, if he could still believe it was impossible, it is a god damn Pikachu from Pokémon. It was rubbing its head as the bolt was on the ground, Jacob realized that he hit it on the head. "Crap…" He then brought out his PDA and took a quick picture and he typed a message in and prepared to send it to Barkeep, one of the Traders in the Zone and owner of the 100 Rads Bar.

Helios: Discovered something I couldn't think was possible, it might be from a anomaly.

Helios: Will mark location till I discover the anomaly.

[Message Sent]

Jacob put away the PDA but soon the Pikachu is now staring at him. Damn it cursed his childhood nostalgia, he wanted to pet it so bad, but the dangers of the Zone left him conflicted. Then again it could be a trick of the mind and the Pikachu in front of him is an illusionary mutant ready to kill him.

But it just stared at him with a tilt head, soft sparks emitted from its red cheeks.

"Pika?"

Screw it, he's petting it.

Jacob has his hand out towards the Pikachu while bracing himself for a conflict. As the it step closer to him, it sniff his hand and-

*Ping*

Fuck!

Pikachu jumped at the sound of Jacob's PDA and scurried a bit. He quickly checked his PDA to see the message.

Barkeep: I may not know what's happening outside the Zone, basic media and such, but I know for a fact from the rookie Stalkers and you. The image is a Pikachu from that Pokémon game. Please tell me you're bullshiting.

Helios: If I was lying, then let the Zone take me.

As he sent the message, he stopped as his Echo Detector started beeping. He looks up to see an anomaly, to him it looks like a cross between a Space and a Springboard Anomalies, basically a vibrating bubble.

"What in the god damn…" he muttered a bit.

He then looked at the Pikachu as it both stared at him and the anomaly.

Helios: I think I found the anomaly, going to investigate.

[Message Sent]

*Ping*

Barkeep: Now hold on, I message to some Ecologists about the image you sent. And some of the Stalkers are heading to the Garbage, also the Ecologists is giving 1200 RU to you when they arrive. Just stay put and don't do anything dangerous, I can't lose my best artifact hunter can I?

*BANG*

"Shit!" Jacob felt a bullet hit his armored left shoulder, he pulled out his MP5A2 at where the shot came from.

"We got you now you son of a bitch!"

He then realizes that a group of bandits from his job exterminated a local bandit gang in Cordon, now they are looking for revenge. He then saw some coming out of cover and then he fired control bursts at the bandits. Two were killed but three more came out the brushes and fired their weapons, mainly pistols and double barrel shotguns. Jacob is behind a pile of scrap metal as cover and continues to fire his MP5A2 killing another bandit.

One bandit flanked him but he then pulled his M1911A1 Pistol and fired three rounds at the bandit's head.

Jacob calmed a bit as he changed the magazine of his SMG and he then stepped out of cover, unknowingly he is close to the anomaly. He scans around to see if the close is clear, he then suddenly realizes that there is one bandit missing.

*Click*

"Got you now!"

Jacob quickly turn and-

*BANG*

Jacob felt the blast of shotgun pellets on the armored plates on his chest as the bandits fired at him. Then he felt the energies of the anomaly and figured that he was blasted into the anomaly.

But not before leaving a gift.

"Take that fucker!" The bandit laughed a bit but he heard something rolled to his feet, looking down he saw a grenade.

Without the pin and safety.

"Blyat…"

*BOOM*

"The hell!?" A Ecologists researcher exclaimed.

"It came from where the Stalker Helios discovered the anomaly!"

"Shit! Double time!"

Elsewhere

Sinnoh Region

Twinleaf Town

Johanna, the mother of Dawn, is finishing her grocery run and is heading back home with her Glameow beside her. She is happy that in a few days Dawn is going to become a Pokémon Trainer and become a Coordinator like her. As she's walking as she is nearing a forest area, she notices a flash of light in the foliage.

Curious, she placed the bag of groceries on the ground. "Glameow, watch the bag, I have to check something real quick." The Catty Pokémon responded with a meow and sat down next to the bag.

Johanna smiled and walked towards the source of the light. As she continued on, she couldn't help but feel a sense of caution through her. As soon as she was at a clearing, she was staring at a floating, vibrating bubble, more erratic but more than less an unknown phenomena. She then looks down and is surprised to see a teen with a green suit with a hood, with a large backpack with some kind of metal rods on the sides of the backpack. But the most alarming thing she saw was that he had holes in his chest with some of them bleeding.. Johanna then begins to check on him to see if he is conscious.

"Young man, can you hear me?" Her voice filled with concern. As she slightly shook him to see if he responded, she noticed something glowing on his belt. Getting a closer look, she sees a blue glowing orb, she slowly grabs the orb and looks at it with curiosity.

*Groan…*

"Hm…?"

She then suddenly felt her arm grabbed by him, which was where she was holding the blue orb, as his eyes opened in a daze looking at her as she was surprised by him but he then passed out.

She quickly put back the orb to his belt and began to try to get him help. Johanna noticed something on his arm, a tattoo, but all she sees is a abbreviation of the word-

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
