My, What Big Teeth You Have

A/N; Just a little note to let you guys know that the dialogue in italics is Quinn and Sam communicating telepathically.

Part II

Quinn Lucy Fabray had always known she was different in more ways than one ever since she was a little girl. She was always aware it wasn't normal that she wasn't interested in boys when all of her little girl friends were boy crazy. And it really wasn't normal that the blonde would transform into a wolf whenever she had any kind of overwhelming emotion.

Puberty was difficult enough. Acne, hair growing in odd places, training bras, menstrual cramps, pads so large and uncomfortable it felt like wearing a diaper, then to top it off, she had to learn to control her emotions as to not expose her wolf in front of anyone. That was the number one rule of the Fabray family. Don't expose your wolf to normies.

It was drilled into Quinn's head, and it was drilled into her older brother Sam's head long before either of them transformed. Don't let a normie see your wolf. It could lead to bad things, for not only their family, but other wolf families as well. Quinn reminded Sam of the rule every afternoon after school they allowed their wolves to hunt. Today was no different, until it was.

They had to be extra careful not to expose their wolves as it was hunting season in Lima, Ohio. A season equivalent to major holidays such as Christmas. This particular spot in the woods was very familiar to the siblings. Their wolves hunted here so frequently, the two teenagers were prepared with extra clothes tucked away in an old tree for when they transformed back on to two legs.

"Why haven't we seen any deer, or rabbit, hell, even a squirrel, yet?" Sam asked Quinn in wolf form as they scouted the woods. "I'm hungry."

"I don't know, but we should see something soon. It's still early into the season, hunters couldn't have killed all of the wildlife out here. Just be patient."

"I'm too hun-" Sam paused mid sentence as his ears went up. He heard something near by and licked his lips with excitement. "Did you hear that?"

"Yes, definitely a deer. Don't scare it away. We don't have time to chase it all around these woods." Quinn warned.

"Why are you always telling me what to do?" Sam growled. "I'm older than you."

"Then start acting like it."

"Hey, I'll have you know that I-" Again Sam stopped talking mid sentence. "It's getting closer! I can smell it!"

Suddenly Sam ran off toward the deer.

"Sam! What did I just tell you?!" Quinn shouted as she ran after him.

They ran for almost three miles before Sam caught up with the deer and tackled it to the ground. Quinn watched as he wrestled with the animal.

"How many times do you have to be told not to play with your food? Seriously, Sam, you are such a child."

Sam bit down on the deer's neck and snapped it.

"I just like to have fun sometimes." Sam justified his actions.

"Whatever. I'm too hungry to argue."

Quinn walked around the deer, analyzing what part of the dead animal she wanted to start with first. Sam impatiently waited. Despite being older, another family rule is that the ladies go first. Quinn finally decided on the stomach. She sunk her sharp teeth into the deer. Sam followed shortly after. Once in awhile he would playfully bite at, and even growled, at his sister to tease the teenage girl, knowing she hated it.

"Stop!" Quinn snapped back.

Sam stopped, he couldn't push his sister any further. For a moment, the wolf siblings ate in silence. Then something unexpected happened and it happened quick. One moment they were eating peacefully, and the next, Sam was chasing a couple of humans, and Quinn was chasing Sam.

Quinn wasn't as fast as her brother. She thought when she could finally catch up to him, he would have the normies dead. Fortunately, Sam was playing with them. After some fighting, Quinn was able to drag Sam far away.

"What the hell was that?!" Quinn asked Sam once they were away from the normies.

"I was just having fun."

"FUN?! That was Finn Hudson, did you know that?! You better hope he isn't dead or I'll kill you myself!"

Sam had his head down submissively as Quinn paced back and forth in front of him.

"Are you going to tell mom and dad?" Sam asked.

"You broke the number one rule! Burt and Finn saw us!"

"Who's going to believe them, Quinn?!" Sam pointed out.

A quietness fell over them as the siblings calmed down.

"We have to tell them." Said Quinn. "If we don't, they'll hear it from someone else, and that'll only make it worse for us."

"Fine."

The blonde siblings transformed back into their human forms then removed clothes from the trunk of an old, hallowed tree, and got dressed. They drove to their house. Quinn lead the way and Sam lingered behind.

At the house, Sam argued with Quinn some more about telling their parents what had happened in the woods, even as they walked inside.

"What are you two arguing about now?" Judy asked. She was watching television in the living room with her husband, Russell, his head on her lap.

"Tell them." Quinn said to Sam, hands on her hips, much like Judy when she's angry.

Sam hesitated. "After school, we like to go to the woods to let our wolves hunt."

"We know that, honey, we gave you permission to do it so long as you don't get caught. Especially now during hunting season." Judy said.

A silence fell over the room. Sam was hoping Judy and Russell would connect the dots on their own so he wouldn't have to tell them. For a moment, he thought they wouldn't until Russell suddenly stood up. He looked very angry.

"WHAT DID YOU DO?!" He shouted.

Sam put his head down. Judy stood as well.

"Please, don't tell us someone saw you two."

Sam remained quiet.

"Sam." Quinn said. "Tell them."

The big lipped teen cleared his throat. "Burt Hummel and Finn Hudson…were hunting. I…uh…I…"

"You what?!" Russell shouted, getting impatient.

Sam finally made eye contact with his parents. "I wanted to have some fun so I chased them a little."

Quinn stepped forward. "He did more than that." Sam spun his head, glaring at his little sister. "He attacked Finn. When we left he was unconscious."

Russell was so furious, his face and ears turned red.

"Honey, your blood pressure." Judy gently reminded her husband.

Russell took a deep, calming breath. "I'll be downstairs in the aroma room to calm down, then I'll try to brain storm ideas to get us out of this potential mess my reckless son has created for his family." Although he was calm, he was still tense, and it was obvious he was holding a lot of anger back.

To decompress from all the drama as well, Sam and Quinn went to their bedrooms. Sam wanted to play video games, and Quinn wanted to do her homework. That was when she got a phone call from Santana Lopez. At first Quinn thought she was just going to ask her to hang out at the old abandoned movie theater, but then, quickly realized Santana also wanted to gossip.

Finn Hudson; a football player from their school, was in a medically induced coma. Quinn acted shocked, though, she didn't have to pretend to be upset. That should have never happened. Sam was irresponsible and immature. What really worried the blonde was when Santana mentioned the wolf as big as a bear.

For a moment her heart was beating uncontrollably against her chest, though, became less worried when it seemed Santana didn't believe the wolf story Burt Hummel told her father. That came with mixed feelings for Quinn.

On one hand she felt relief that Santana didn't believe wolves could be as big as bears and the other she felt nervous for the same reason. What if she didn't believe Quinn when the time comes to tell Santana her family secret? What would she do?

For now, she had pretended to be afraid of wolves the size of bears to suddenly crash their fun at the abandoned drive-in movie theater. Santana comforted the blonde with a kiss on the lips. Then unexpectedly both Sam and their high school's rival football team crashed their good time.

Of course that resulted in the boys fighting, and somehow, she wasn't sure how, it had also resulted in the concession building of the abandoned drive-in theater collapsing into a pile of old wood. It was Sam that announced they had to leave, it was getting dark.

Although it was a cliché to assume that wolves transformed during a full moon, during their adolescence, it was more difficult than usual to keep their wolves at bay at night, full moon or not.

On their way home, however, Quinn and Sam unexpectedly run into a coven of witches. They did their best to blend in with the trees in their earthly colored cloaks, but, Quinn and Sam could smell them a mile away. The covens' presence alone was enough for the blondes' wolves to make an appearance. The siblings growled and showed their teeth.

"Now, now, there's no need for the hostility." A blonde woman dressed in a dark green cloak said as she stepped forward. The cloak she wore had a hood that covered her eyes. As did the rest of the coven behind her.

"We're just passing through." A tall man said.

Quinn and Sam looked at one another.

"If we attack them, dad will really be pissed. More than he already is." Quinn pointed out. "And technically they haven't done anything to deserve an attack."

"If you could transform back to your human side, we would appreciate that. It's difficult to communicate this way." Said the woman.

"I don't trust them." Sam said.

"Me either." Quinn agreed. "But she's right. We can't communicate like this."

"Okay. I'll transform. Just me. I'm stronger, and if things go south, I can fight them off as you get away."

"Sounds like a plan."

Sam transformed back to his human self and covered his vulnerable area with his hands.

"You're just passing through you say?" Sam asked the blonde woman.

She nodded. "Collecting for positions."

Sam narrowed his eyes. "Why don't I believe you?"

"I don't know. We haven't given you any reason not to."

Quinn tried to focus on the conversation, however, something more important distracted the blonde. Or rather, someone. She can't explain it, but, Quinn could always sense and sometimes even visualize whenever Santana was hurt, or would be in danger before it even happened.

Along with the sudden heavy rain came a vision of Santana in her car. She was stopped at a red light behind another vehicle. A tall figure exited the SUV, approached Santana and held their hand out in front of them as a bright light illuminated from their palm.

Quinn had witnessed such a thing just a handful of times, but, she knew exactly what was happening. Santana was in danger. Or, would be, and very soon.

"Santana!"

"What?" Sam asked Quinn, looking down at her, confused. He may no longer be in his wolf form, but, he still heard Quinn.

"Santana is going to be in danger! I have to go!"

Quinn didn't stick around to explain further. She ran as fast as she could. All she could think about was keeping Santana safe. That was more important than anything at the moment, even a suspicious witch coven. Quinn felt a little relief when she spotted the Latina driving. She was safe.

"What's going to happen?!" Sam shouted as he appeared next to Quinn, now as a wolf.

"Someone from the coven is going to use magic on her!"

Suddenly Quinn and Sam are surrounded by said coven. Three of them flanked the two wolves from the front, sides, and back.

"I think it's safe to say they're on to us!" One of the shorter of the coven shouted.

Quinn came to a sudden stop. Santana sat at a red light, behind a black SUV, the same from her vision. Still a wolf, she charged in the direction of the vehicles. What she didn't know was someone from the coven was hot on her heels. Before she could reach Santana Quinn was tackled to the ground.

She wrestled with the witch. Sam would have helped if he wasn't occupied in a scuffle himself. The witch was strong, but, Quinn was stronger. She escaped just in time to tackle the other witch standing by the SUV just as their palm lit up.

Santana was still in her car. She was unconscious, but not injured.

Quinn wanted to do more damage to the witch that attacked Santana, however, they managed to escape along with the rest of the coven in the SUV. Sam ran up next to Quinn, now human, and dressed. He was panting and holding extra clothes.

"You should change back just in case she wakes up." He suggested.

Quinn transformed back into her human half and got dressed in the clothes that Sam had offered. Now human and clothed, she opened the driver's door, and crouched down next to the Latina.

"What the hell was that?" Sam asked.

"I don't know." Quinn caressed Santana's cheek. "But we have to get her out of here. Take her home with us."

"Okay." He drawled out. "What are we going to tell her parents?"

"They probably already think she's been at our house all this time. That's usually what she tells them when we go to the old drive-in theater. I'll call Maribel and tell her that we were studying and Santana fell asleep."

Sam drove Santana's car to their house. Quinn sat in the back with Santana. The Latina still unconscious the entire ride, her head rested on Quinn's lap. Sam carried Santana up to Quinn's bedroom. Russell and Judy were no where in sight.

"Mom and dad must be sleeping." Said Quinn.

Sam gently put Santana in Quinn's bed.

"What are you going to tell her when she wakes up?" He asked.

"I don't know." Quinn let out a deep sigh. "I haven't thought that far ahead."

"Quinn, she might be safe now, but, she's not out of the woods yet. Whoever that coven was they-"

"I'll protect her." Quinn cut him off as she looked down at Santana.

"I know you will, but, you can't keep her in the dark. I don't mean tell her the family secret, just that Lima isn't what she thought. Starting with this coven."

With that, he left Quinn and Santana alone. Carefully, Quinn climbed into bed. She turned on her side, facing the unconscious brunette.

"What would a witch coven possibly want with you?" Quinn whispered, thinking out loud. She scooted closer to Santana and held her hand. "Whatever it is, I won't let them hurt you, I promise."

The last time Santana could remember being this scared she was just a kid. Seven, to be exact. It was close to Halloween. Maribel and Jorge went out for a date night. Santana had a sleep over at her cousins's house and she wanted to watch the Scream 3 movie with her older, much cooler, cousins.

She begged and pleaded with Tio and Tia to let her watch it. Insisting the movie would not scare her at all, she was too brave for that, and she wasn't a baby anymore. When they eventually gave in, Santana was excited. That is, until the movie started.

The action started from the very beginning. It was unexpected, as was all of the blood, and there was a lot. Santana spent more time with her hands covering her eyes than actually watching the film.

Although, she insisted it did not scare her when it was over, that night Santana woke with a nightmare and begged her Tia to call her parents. Maribel and Jorge picked her up and Santana didn't watch another horror movie again for awhile after that.

Fast forward to today, and Santana was just as frightened as she was as a child watching the third film of the Scream movie franchise. She may not remember everything that had happened, however, that was one of the reasons she was so scared.

Santana hadn't ever experienced memory loss like this before, not even the few times she got drunk. And what she did remember was as scary as seeing the Scream movie when she was little. What was that bright light? Headlights?

That alone wasn't scary, but, something caused her to blackout.

Scanning the room she found herself in, she realized two things; it wasn't her house, but, it was very familiar. She was at the Fabray's home.

"Oh, good, you're awake."

Santana turned toward the door. Quinn walked into the room with a glass of water in one hand and a couple of pills in the other.

"What happened last night, Q?"

Quinn sat next to Santana on the bed. "Take this. It'll help with the dizziness. Don't worry about missing cheer practice. I called coach Sylvester, told her you're not feeling well and I'm not going to practice without you. She wasn't happy, but, she can't do anything over a phone, so, we're in the clear, for now."

Santana wanted to deny feeling dizzy and demand that Quinn answer her question, she doesn't even care about cheerleading practice, but, she couldn't demand anything from anyone. A rush of dizziness suddenly hit her like a brick wall.

She took the pills and water from the blonde, then she laid back on the bed, hoping the medicine would kick in soon. Santana didn't know why she hadn't felt the dizziness until Quinn said something, but, that wasn't the question she wanted to ask.

"Why can't I remember anything?" Santana asked with her eyes closed.

Quinn let out a deep sigh. "I want to tell you, but, I don't want to overwhelm you. It's a lot to take in at once."

Santana groaned. "I hate when people are cryptic." She sighed. "Can you at least tell me one thing?"

"Are you sure you don't remember anything from last night?"

Santana huffed, annoyed her question was ignored for another question, though, she answered anyway. "I remember a really bright light."

"That's it?"

Santana finally opened her eyes. "Yeah." She drawled out. "Was there something other than bright headlights that I should remember?" She asked suspiciously.

"I told you…I don't want to overwhelm you."

The Latina groaned some more. "Fine. Could you tell me why I'm dizzy?" She asked holding her head.

Quinn hesitated. "It's a side effect."

"Let me guess, it'll overwhelm me if you told me what it's from."

"No."

Santana's eyebrows shot up into her hairline, surprised. "You're actually going to tell me something?"

Quinn sighed heavily. "Sam said I can't leave you in the dark, but, I don't know if you'll believe me." She added. "Your perspective on the world, Lima specifically, is going to change, and it won't ever be the same again."

There's a moment of silence as Santana processed what Quinn just said.

"What the hell is that supposed to mean, Q?"

"Lima isn't what you think it is. It's not some boring small town with not much to do, and small minded people. It's more than that, but, your introduction to this hidden world has to be done delicately." Quinn explained.

"I'm sick of this beating around the bush. Just say it already."

"I will, but, not before you promise to keep an open mind. A really opened mind."

Santana narrowed her eyes, still suspicious. "I'm a lesbian teenager living in Ohio, I can't get more open minded than that." She pointed out.

"You can." Quinn argued.

The Latina groaned, frustrated. "Okay, okay. Out with it already."

Quinn paced the room, biting her finger nails, as she contemplated on how she would tell Santana that a witch from a coven used magic on her last night.

"I don't know where to start."

This time Santana said nothing. Of all the time she had known Quinn, since middle school, she had never seen her like this. At least, not to this extent. Quinn had been nervous for many tests, and cheer competitions, but, not like this.

Suddenly Quinn stopped pacing and joined Santana on the bed. "Remember in middle school, I slept over your house, and we watched that old movie Practical Magic?"

Although confused where this conversation was going, she nodded. "It was about a family in a witch coven and the whole town was afraid of them for generations." Santana slowly recalled, as it had been a long time since she watched the film. "I don't understand what that movie has to do with this, Q." Santana said in frustration.

"It's why you feel dizzy. That's what happens when…when a witch uses their magic on someone. It can make a person feel dizzy, nauseous, or in rare cases, vomit."

Quinn waited in nervous anticipation for Santana's reaction, but, surprisingly the Latina remained quiet.

"It wasn't a bright headlight you saw last night. Someone casted a sleep spell on you."

A moment passed before Santana finally said anything. "First wolves as big as bears and now witches." She said slowly, still processing the information. "This can't be real. I have to be dreaming."

"San, how long have we known each other?" She pointed out. "You trust me, right?"

"Of course." Santana just about whispered.

"Then, please, trust me when I say witches are real. This is the hidden world of Lima I was talking about." Quinn added, not mentioning that her family is also a part of this hidden world, too.

Santana needed another moment to wrap her head around this new perspective of little Lima, Ohio. It's where she grew up. How could she have missed this? A whole coven of witches couldn't hide from everyone forever, right?

And most mysterious of all, what could they want with her, and why now? Santana's head was spinning, however, this time, it wasn't because of some spell.

"Okay. I don't know how I feel about…witches being real, so, I'll just move on to my next question. Why would a…witch use a sleeping spell on me?"

"Unfortunately this isn't going to get any better, " Santana let out a deep sigh to brace herself for the next bad news, "the witch that casted the spell was with their coven, and in this case, the only reason I could think of a sleep spell was required to be casted…" Quinn hesitated. "They planned on taking you last night."

Santana frowned in confusion. "What the hell would a witch coven want with me?"

"I don't know, but, I promise I won't let them hurt you." Quinn took Santana's hand.

"How can you promise that? Are you a witch, too?"

It was as if the universe gave Quinn the opportunity to tell Santana the big Fabray family secret, however, she didn't take it. She couldn't, not yet. Santana wasn't ready.

"No." Quinn chuckled. "But I can protect you. If you let me."

Quinn knew Santana so well, she could literally see the brunette thinking.

"Well, it's not like I trust anyone else." She joked. "And you're my best friend."

Quinn scoffed. "The best friend you kiss and occasionally have sex with, is this what we're doing?"

Santana looked away, blushing. Though, she didn't let go of Quinn's hand. "We can…make it official if you want."

Quinn smiled. "I would love that. Is that something you want, too, or are you just asking because you felt you had to?"

Santana turned back to Quinn. "It's what I want, too."

"Good to know."

Quinn closes the gap between them, connecting their lips in a slow, loving kiss. It would have been a perfect moment, if Sam hadn't walked in on them.

"Mom and dad weren't sleeping they were at a," he took a glance at Santana, "family meeting. They want to talk to us downstairs."

"I'll be there in a minute."

Sam nodded then left.

"This shouldn't take long. Get some rest, okay?"

"M'kay." Santana mumbled. This time she initiated a kiss, then got comfortable in the bed and closing her eyes with a content sigh.

Quinn needed a moment to recover from the kiss. Although they have kissed many times, it was already different now that they're official. It's more intimate and special now.

"Get down here, Quinn." Said Sam. "This is more important than your love life."

Quinn felt her cheeks get warm. Although they weren't in their wolf forms, they could sometimes still communicate telepathically. It takes a lot of energy, so they don't do it very often. Quinn met with her family in Russell's home office.

"What did you tell her?" Russell asked.

Quinn sat next to Sam on the couch. Russell was sitting at his desk. Judy was sitting with Sam, and now Quinn, on the couch.

"She doesn't know about us." She assured him. "I just told her about the coven Sam and I ran into last night."

Russell just nodded in approval. "We met with the Puckerman's. They don't know who this witch coven is either. Whoever they are, they're going to cause a lot of problems. They don't do well with conspicuous, always collecting for their positions and rituals." Russell said with disdain. "That's why they can never stay in one place too long."

"What could they want with Santana?" Quinn asked. "One of them used a sleep spell on her. She's resting in my bedroom. I gave her medicine for the dizziness."

Russell and Judy shared the dame concerned look. "I'm not sure, sweetheart, we'll keep a close eye on Santana, though, okay?"

"Thank you."

Judy comforted Quinn, holding her hand, knowing how much she cared for the Latina.

"Now, circling back to the Finn and Burt incident." Russell shot a glare in Sam's direction. "We had a discussion with the Puckerman's about it and we agreed to play it by ear. Right now Burt is just telling a crazy story, he's no threat. We won't step in unless we have to."

"What does that mean?" Sam asked. "How will we step in?" He clarified.

"We'll discuss that when we cross that bridge." Russell answered. "Meeting adjourned."

Meanwhile, in another part of Lima, a family of witches are having their own meeting in the woods, where they feel more connected to their powers. They're still dressed in their hooded cloaks from the night before, the hoods still over their head and eyes, concealing their identity, as a precaution.

"We were so close! Then that fucking bitch had to ruin it!" A man in a deep green cloak shouted.

"Brother, you're no help to anyone angry. Meditation will do you well." A taller man in a deep brown cloak said.

The man in green nodded then went to another part of the woods, but still close, for some privacy to meditate.

"For the greater good of our coven, we must remain calm and patient." The man in maroon continued, addressing the rest of the coven.

Half of the coven wore deep green, the other half in deep brown. The witches varied in age from adults, young adults, teenagers, children, and babies. Though, the youngest of the coven stayed home with the elderly witches.

Those who have attended the family meeting are standing and sitting in a circle. One of the teens sat crisscrossed applesauce upon a fallen tree, a very fat cat perched contently on their lap as they casually ran their hand up and down the cat's back.

"What do we do now, what's our next move?" A woman in brown asked.

"There's still some time before the next red moon, so, we patiently wait for the next opportunity."

Thank you so much to everyone that have followed, favorited, and especially let reviews. I love all the feedback I could get. So don't be shy, let me know what you thought of the chapter. It really helps me a lot. It's hard to stay motivated to write when it feels like no one is reading the story.
