Chapter 6
A breakthrough
Elisa's POV
"Have you made any progress?" Captain Chavez asked.
"Her parents say they haven't heard her from her since last month and no one knows who the baby daddy is. I want to try to find her car next. Her coworkers said she went somewhere. Her work computer and personal laptop are being looked at by the Computer Forensics Specialists." I told her.
"So, you've got a lot things being processed, but nothing to show yet." She hummed.
"Unfortunately." I agreed.
"Get the information on her car and we'll send out a bulletin." Captain Chavez told me.
I went to my desk and looked up the documents. Her car was a white 1994 Maserati. That was a spendy car. I pulled all the relevant information and drafted up the bulletin. The captain approved. The bulletin was sent out to the other police precincts. A week later, we got a call. The car was abandoned in a hospital parking garage. I went to go check the security footage and talked with the staff at the hospital. No one had seen Natalie go into the waiting room. The cameras did see her car drive in, but it seemed like someone else was driving it. It was hard to tell who, they wore a hat to hide their face. The car was examined for evidence and a few hairs were found on the headrest.
