"This is bad." Jaime groaned.
"It's not as bad as it looks." Marinette said.
"You're right. It's worse."
The squad just got out of a fight with a villain that had the ability to manipulate ages. Would've been intimidating if it wasn't for the fact that he was all bark, no bite. But during the fight, a stray blast managed to hit Spider-Man and Bumblebee.
Resulting in the two-year-old Peter and Karen standing in front of them.
"You are so overdramatic sometimes." Marinette said.
"Overdramatic? OVERDRAMATIC!? I don't know how to babysit regular kids! How am I supposed to babysit two superpowered kids?" Jaime asked.
Peter's lip began to quiver as tears began to form in his eyes.
"Stop, you're scaring Peter!" Marinette picked up the scared Peter and started to soothe him. "Shh, shh, it's okay." Before shooting Jaime a very angry look.
Jaime shrugged. "I don't know how to babysit!"
"Okay." Marinette said. "I'll take care of Peter. You take care of Karen."
"Karen?" Fear laced Jaime's voice. He looked at Karen, who was angrily glaring at him like she had homicide on her mind.
"Can we swap?" Jaime asked.
"Jaime..." Marinette groaned.
"Alright, alright, just give me a second." Jaime walked out of the room.
When Jaime was out the room, Karen innocently looked up at Marinette and held her arms up. "Uppie?"
Marinette picked up Karen. "Okay."
"And I'm ready!" Jaime walked back into the room wearing his Blue Beetle armor.
Marinette just gave him a tired stare. "Jaime..."
"I'm not taking any chances, Nette!" Jaime defended himself. "Did you see Karen? That is the face of someone who wants a man dead, and I am the man she wants dead!"
"Are you serious? Look at her, she wouldn't hurt a fly!" Marinette defended Karen, who put on an innocent face.
"Yeah, key word is FLY. I'm no fly, I'm a beetle." Jaime said. Marinette shot Jaime an angry glare.
"Alright, alright." Jaime retracted his armor back into his spine, leaving him back in his normal clothes. "But if she kills me, it's your fault."
Jaime tried to take Karen from Marinette, but the moment Karen was in his arms, she started flailing, shaking, and squealing.
"No! Down! Bad!"
Jaime, in a panic, put Karen down on some random bean bag in his room.
He angrily pointed at the bee-themed baby. "Eres una niƱa diablo, Beecher." Karen just blew a raspberry in response.
Meanwhile, Marinette went down to the kitchen to grab some food for Peter.
"What do you want?" Marinette asked Peter.
Peter pointed to the juice.
"Oh, you want the juice? Okay." Marinette went to grab the juice...
...Only to hear Jaime's screaming.
Picking up Peter and running back to the room, she saw Jaime screaming and flailing around like a madman while a small yellow blur flew around him and into his jacket.
"Help me!" Jaime yelled.
At that moment, Karen returned to her normal size, sat on the floor, and put on an innocent face, much to Jaime's anger.
"Not gonna hurt me, you said. Wouldn't hurt a fly, you said." Jaime growled.
"Ok, fine, we'll switch. I'll take care of Karen, you'll take care of... Peter?"
Somehow, in the seconds that just passed by, Peter had crawled out of Marinette's arms and onto Jaime. All without being noticed.
Peter crawled onto the top of Jaime's head and tapped him on the nose. "Bap."
Jaime clutched his left chest.
"Are you okay?" Marinette asked.
"The cuteness is gonna kill me." Jaime said.
Eventually, after a couple hours, the effects wore off and Peter and Karen were back to being teenagers instead of babies.
"Y'know, you were a troublemaker as a baby, Karen. A real diablo." Jaime said.
Karen sadistically smirked. "Who says I'm still not?"
"Huh?" Jaime asked, equally scared and confused.
Karen stepped towards Jaime, making him back up in terror.
"Karen, back up. Back up. BACK UP!"
Karen shrunk down and Jaime's screams once again filled the air while Peter and Marinette just watched.
