"Lashara... are you sure this idea...is good?" Naruto looked foward at the little Queen who was walking with a determined stride.
She had wasted not a single moment after declaring her decision as she brought the other three with her to the Seikijin hanger.
He wouldn't lie and say he didn't like how sure she was in her decision. He was a bit envious too. He didn't think he had it in him anymore to be like that and it was a bit depressing.
Coming away from those thoughts, he was still a bit suprised that this girl was basically the owner of this entire place, on top of being a queen. Comparing yourself with others was truly the killer of all dreams.
Chiaia perking up hearing his opinion nodded quickly indicating her support. "He's right Lashara sama! It's our only Seikijin left after my own was wrecked ! We should really be cautious in how we deal with it!"
She couldn't understand her thought process on it. She was also curious on what would happen if Naruto tried piloting a Seikijin but...was it really worth the chance of being defenseless?
She really didn't think so but she had been near her queen for too long and already knew by the heavy step in her stride she wouldn't take no for a answer.
So again her arguing was just a mere formality. If anyone ever asked why something happened she already knew who she was pointing to.
Lashara glanced back with a smile at the confused faces. She understood what they were thinking and sympathized with them truly however she was long beyond worrying about such simple things.
She had much more things in mind concerning the blonde and if anything happened didn't they have him to protect her?
She was playing the long game to rope him in with her, so it was obvious why they would be confused at her actions.
"Mouuu you guys are spoil sports! Just go with the flow! Where is your sense of adventure?! Aren't you curious about what will happen?!" Wahanly whined shaking her pigtails.
She couldn't believe they weren't even a bit curious about it. The best things came from a bit of danger so why not live a little? Especially if their queen already gave the go ahead!
Clearly she already had a plan in place!
Chiaia sighed placing hand on her nose." That's not the issue here. Wahanly."
If she didn't know better it would seem she was trying to make them defenseless?
Food for the thought.
"Well whatever. If Lashara sama is so sure I will follow my commands." Chiaia smacked her lips reluctantly saying before glancing at Naruto.
"Though I would have liked to test him extensivly to make sure he would be safe. After all he is uhhh...different? No offense of course! " she quickly waved her hands realising how it may of came out.
"No offense Chiaia...I'm glad you're worried...about me." Naruto gave her a small smile letting her know he appreciated it. It had been quite some time so it felt good.
Feeling the heat rise to her cheeks she was about to stutter that was not what she meant before being interrupted. Intentionally.
"Well! I'm glad you came around to my way of thinking Chiaia, don't worry you'll be thanking me soon enough. " Lashara snickered as she could feel the glare directed on her back.
'Shouldn't have pushed back with me on this! This is your own doing Chiaia!' Lashara thought maliciously. Let her stew in her own embarrassment for a bit. It would be an amsuing show to be present for.
It was her own fault for being so easy to rile up too. Though that probably had to do more with her impression on the blonde and wasn't that just another case of worms.
Though she wouldn't be a hypocrite and deny her own-
"We are here!" Wahanly exclaimed as she hopped on to her control panel floating up to it.
Naruto eyes widened seeing her floating up so easily. Since when was flight so easily doable?!
Lashara watching the blonde's reactions smiled and said "Take off your shirt Naruto. "
Turning his head slowly his wide eyes moved from the floating device to Lashara. "Hah?"
"You need more surface area to properly manuever a Seikijin! Now chop chop!" She hurried him smiling seeing him struggle before ultimately listening.
She also glared at Chiaia making her shut her trap. Of course what she said was true. More surface area did make it easier but they were only testing if he was a Seikishi not fighting.
So he didn't need to take of anything really but why would she let go of a opportunity to see him shirtless?!
"So.. what next?" Naruto deadpaned seeing the little play on their faces realising he got duped. Still he wouldn't chastise her. He liked these little games afterall.
"Now?" Lashara looked at him smiling.
"Go up and touch it Naruto." She nodded to the skeleton like machine incased in the bubble.
Nodding Naruto went to the stairs taking the steps up to it.
Wahanly moved to the side as the girls watched with baited breath anticipating what would happen.
Reaching the top Naruto looked at it his sage mode still on. He didn't really see anything or sense anything unusual expect a high amount of the energy that permeated this place .
Glancing back he got excited nods before he took a deep breath raising his hand.
Feeling a ominous tingle down his spine he paused before pushing on. Looking at the complicated circle that appeared with wide eyes he felt himself being encased in the fluid before being taken up into the machine.
He wasn't worried about that though. What he was worried about was the blood he just coughed up!
'Ah shit!'
The girls watched with wide eyes as the Seikijin slowly started forming.
First the head began showing it's true shape as it shifted into a slender humanoid like shape taking on a black color of all things. Red lining it. Next was the chest smooth with no variations like other Seikijin following the same color scheme.
The arms came next as they bursted out showing reverse red spikes on the forearms of the mech.
The sleek machine stood up before hunching over as red streams of pure energy wrapped around it's neck like a scarf and the back as it formed a vague star like shape.
The Seikijin stood up as some of the energy went to the head taking on the appearance of eyes, the red energy giving it a rather menacing look.
All three girls simply swallowed seeing the black and red Seikijin with palpable energy wrapped around it.
Wahanly too entranced with it unfortunately wasn't able to see the warning signs in time as the screen blared red.
"Oh no! He's overloading it!" She quickly shouted to the shock of the others.
"What?! It may not be the best materials but he just got inside?! How can he be-" watching with wide eyes as the Seikijin fell apart all the girls could only look on as the cockpit bubble fell out dropping the Uzumaki as the mech crumbled like wet cardboard.
"Naruto!" Both Lashara and Chiaia went to pick him up, as Wahanly looked on in worry.
"He's burning up! And these spots?! Ahou poisoning?! How is that possible if he can overpower the Seikijin?!" Chiaia hurried along with Lashara as they heaved him up on shaking legs trying to bring him to a room.
Ahou poisoning only happened when you took in too much than your body could handle. All Seikijin pilots had massive resistance to it and could pilot for long amounts of time, unlike civilians who'd get poisoned if they did the same.
But it didn't make sense! If he was able to overpower the Seikijin that meant he had a powerful talent so why-?!
"I don't know but..." Lashara said breathing heavy as she glanced at his face seeing the marks dissappeared. She had thought they were some kind of permanent tattoo but they just-?!
"We'll get our answers when he wakes. Hopefully we can solve this problem. " She finished worried about his condition.
(Break)
3 Hours later.
"Ugh.." Naruto grit his teeth as he felt the pain radiate through his body as he woke. Glancing up he raised himself on shaking hands looking around the room before laying eyes on the white haired lady he saw before.
Blinking at her sleeping form he touched his chest feeling the towel that dropped from his head on it.
"What on earth...happened? I've never had that...bad of a reaction before." He felt confused as he realised his sage mode deactivated.
Looking to the door, he heard it open as Chiaia came in with a bucket.
Turning around after closing the door she was startled seeing the blue eyes looking st her silently.
"Naruto! You're awake! Thank goodness! " She nearly dropped the bucket after being being startled by the different eyes.
'He has normal eyes?! Wait that isn't the issue here! Since when can you change your eyes at will!' She thought frantically as Aura woke up.
Pushing herself up the elf glanced around sluggish before her eyes widened seeing the 2 pairs of eyes looking at her.
'How clumsy of me! Sleeping on the job!' She grit her teeth embarrassed as she quickly got up before saying.
"I shall let Lashara sama know of your recovery." Nodding to them both she stiffly made her way out hoping they weren't laughing at her as she left.
Looking away from the door Naruto peered at Chiaia. "Chiaia? What happened? Did something go... wrong with the test?" He rubbed his throat muttering a thank you as she gave him a glass of water.
Looking hesitant she placed down the water pitcher before saying "Can you wait for everyone to come? I'm sure it would be better if we're all here. I don't think I can explain it well enough."
She wasn't really the articulate one around here so she didn't want to mess anything up by explaining wrongly.
Sighing Naruto expressed his agreement as he laid back down in the bed checking himself out.
'My chakra is fine. No issues there but I'm sure this problem has to do with sage mode but what exactly?'
"Naruto. I'm glad you're awake. You had us worried." Lashara entered with Wahanly and Aura behind her closing the door.
"Ah sorry." He nodded in apology. He knew it was difficult seeing a friend in pain afterall.
"That said Naruto we should probably find out what happened first before we discuss anything else." Lashara fluffed her skirt looking at him noting the eyes in suprise.
'Well that's certainly more pleasing on the eyes. ' She thought looking at them deeply before moving on.
"Does ahou poisoning mean anything to you?" She posed the question. She knew he lived in the wild so perhaps he didn't know what it was.
"Ahou? What is that?" He furrowed his brows looking at her. That was a new one.
"Ahou is/ Ahou is the!" Both Wahanly and Aura were about to explain before being interrupted by each other.
Sparks setting off between their eyes they immediately began passive aggressively arguing.
Leaving them to it Chiaia sat on the bed before explaining it to him ingoring them.
"Ahou is a energy that permeates through the entire planet. It fills everything and is everywhere. It's what we use to power of Seikijin." Chiaia told him simply as the girls who were arguing looked down feeling a tad childish.
"I see." Naruto responded it sounded a lot like nature energy but clearly it wasn't.
"You have typical signs of a person under a intense amount of Ahou intake. Beyond their body can stand." Lashara took over for Chiaia.
'So that's why I've been feeling this pain for so long? Sage mode...' Naruto looked down as realization dawned on his face.
Seeing it Lashara nodded saying "As expected. You know why." It made sense for him to know. If he was such a powerful Seikishi that he could break down a good Seikijin then something he did had to have caused the him collapsing.
Sighing Naruto looked up. It wasn't like they'd be able to do much with the information and he didn't really care to keep it a secret.
"Let's just say like your...Seikijin? " He said it sounding out the strange word getting nods telling him he prounced it correctly.
"Like them I too...draw upon the power of the planet. Still where I come... from we had nothing like Ahou." He sighed out not taking the wide eyes seriously.
Dragging a hand down his face he closed his eyes and continued "I was feeling sick before this...but it makes sense that I collapsed from what you said. The Seikijin drew in Ahou and I drew in from that which was concentrated."
Opening them he shrank back seeing the white haired woman directly in his face.
"So you're saying you draw upon the power of nature?" She leaned in, making very sure she heard what he said correctly.
Looking unsure Naruto nodded once.
Standing up Aura looked at Lashara sharply."Lashara sama?"
"No Aura." Lashara shut her down easily with a smile.
"But?!" The white haired elf eyes widened in disbelief. She didn't even hear her proposal!
"It's written all over your face what you want Aura..." Chiaia deadpanned along with Wahanly. The woman's facial expressions did not allow for any misinterpretation.
"You?!" She looked back and forth between them glancing to Naruto as well helplessly. She could not allow such a opportunity to pass. Her people were always trying to get closer to nature. What better way than to carry the seed of one who could draw in it's very energy?!
Not to mention he was a monstrosity of a Seikishi! Not a single person of her tribe would object to such a thing! They'd celebrate if anything!
"That isn't our decision..Aura." Lashara glanced at the confused blonde who was unable to follow the conversation. She did not quite think it wise to spring such a thing on him.
She doubted he'd be okay with marrying to sire children, divorcing immediately after and repeating the process.
'Though I'm sure we can make it work.' She came out of her thoughts smiling. She needed to observe a bit more to make sure but..
"BOOM!" The loud explosion scared everyone silly as they all ducked at the sound.
"We're being attacked!" Chiaia immediately went to the defense going towards her Seikijin.
"Lashara sama!" Aura left aswell after saluting her. She also had a responsibility to protect the swan and her.
The two smarter people and crippled blonde stayed watching they made their exit.
"...They do remember that their Seikijins are being repaired right." Wahanly scratched her head posing the question. What were they going to do exactly?
"...We should probably go help them." Lashara sighed. Honestly those two were far too earnest. Looking towards the blonde her eyes widened, seeing him get up.
"No no. It's bed for you mis-" She stopped pushing him back down when he gripped her face gently. Blinking she looked at him through his hands.
"Lashara? You worry...too much." He patted her head saying. The concern touched him but he wasn't about to get his butt beat by robots.
No matter how much it hurt to move. He never drew the conclusion that sage mode was the reason. He tried not using it to see if it was the cause before but it made no difference.
At the time.
So that meant he wasn't patient enough to wait it out...Ma always said he was a bit too...
'...'Blinking he shook his head from the memories before pushing her to the side.
"Wait!" Wahanly immediately put herself infront of him sternly.
Blinking Naruto planted 2 hands under her arms and picked her up before dropping her to the side too. Honestly these girls were really light weight.
Walking out the door the girls watched him leave knowing they couldn't stop him.
"Naruto? Be safe!" Lashara called out getting him to wave his arm back in confirmation.
Done with that she looked towards Wahanly confused. " You saw what he did to me right? So why did you do the same?"
Wahanly preparing to get her own robots paused not realizing she would ask. Still she wasn't ashamed of her reason at all.
"He's a hottie! Why wouldn't I want him to grip me?!"
"...A valid point."
Walking outside the...Swan Naruto looked at the green robot getting bombarded by 3 others.
"So it's the elf lady?" He deduced as he took a step foward flaring his chakra getting the robots to freeze minutely.
Using the time they allowed him he immediately sprung to the most dangerous one he saw.
It was jet black like the night sky before him, skeletal in appearance and had a bone like tail behind it resembling a spine. It was also wielding scythe though he didn't worry about.
With a great jump he grunted gritting his teeth as he channeled sage mode for but a second implanting his hands inside what he now knew was the driver part.
'Gotcha.' He smirked feeling the slender neck? Raising a eyebrow feeling a slight shock to his hands he ripped the girl out, watching as she panicked slapping his hands her eyes open wildy.
Blinking at the strange appearance Naruto didn't dally nor analyze more than necessary. So placing her under his armpit he looked up at the escaping Seikijins.
Frowning.
'They can fly...that's not good for me.' He jumped down taking a single kunai lacing it with a string quickly.
With one throw he immediately impaled the leg of the second most powerful robot before he tugged himself foward kicking the Seikijin he was on off the swan as he did so.
Forgetting the girl underneath him.
'Ah whoops?' He chuckled sheepishly hearing her scream in complete and utter terror. In fact her lungs had been gone by the time he reached.
And with a stomp he stopped the Seikijin with a red and white body equipped with a gunblade.
Feeling it struggle beneath him he wiped the blood trembling as he looked up with wide eyes seeing the quick acceleration of the last robot.
'That's way too fast! ' He hadn't quite seen anything like it. In fact it was already a dot in his sight as it blasted away.
"These guys are more of a threat than I thought. " He mumbled. He doubted it would leave if it knew he couldn't attack it in the air.
It clearly had superiority over him there.
'A major problem.' He thought seeing the Seikijin finally stop. He was right in the middle of it its back, controlling its center of gravity.
"What are you?" The girl trembled looking down. Her body was limp and her mind was blank looking down at the Seikijin being pinned like a child.
Naruto didn't answer as he raised a single hand sign getting vines to capture the machines limbs.
Stepping off the machine he finally felt it was safe to look at her as he released his sage mode.
She was a really pretty little thing honestly. She was little on the short side with pale skin, and long straight green hair, with bangs covering her eyes. She was wearing a black dress with red highlights, with the shoulders being bare.
"You're so pretty yet..." Naruto shook his head.
Looking up at what she heard Doll said nothing but wondered why her head didn't feel muddied anymore.
Naruto flipped over the machine looking at it for a second before jumping up on it and ripping out the next pilot.
"...Seriously are all... the girls here pretty?" He deadpanned looking at the glaring teary eyes of the masked assailant. Just by the shape of her eyes he could tell she was a looker as well.
So sighing he walked back to the Swan limping a bit. He probably should have just used clones but...
When was the last time he got action?! Why would he let his clones take his fun?
"So can I get some nam-"He tried making conversation with the 2 scared girls under his arms before being interrupted.
"Dagm- Kamenkisu sama will kill you! Let me go before he comes back! I promise that you will be unharmed!" The masked one said trying to get away knowing if she was comprised she would be abandoned.
"Never heard that before." Naruto stated a fact. It was true. He was only a genin for what? A couple months? He didn't really have all that many-
"Doll. My name is Doll."The green haired one mumbled out wrinkling her nose at the subtle accent and slurring of words. How strange.
Smiling Naruto glanced down at her. At least someone was being cooperative.
"Doll huh? Suppose it fits. You have a...crafted beauty to you." He nodded. From what he saw it described her to a Tee.
"Was that a compliment? " The girl muttered blandily with red cheeks glancing at the suprised and offended masked girl who she knew was Emera. Dagmeyr's little love stuck puppy who was somehow stronger than him.
Doll rolled her eyes. What did she want her to do? Fight him? The idiot. Her little Dagmeyr left her high and dry and she was still resisting?
Learn how to go with the flow. You'd live longer.
"It was actually." She felt her lips twitching hearing the confirmation from him. She had better things to do than worrying about her.
Looking up hearing the Seikijin arrive she muttered in amusement. "I guess you won't be letting me go then?" It was all a game really. She knew she would be getting out after all.
"Afraid not. Don't worry Lashara seems quite lenient." Naruto comforted the girl who snorted.
She knew that far more than him. More than most really. Still it was suprising he was being so open with her.
"Aura right?" Naruto took a step on the hand that made way for him.
"Thanks for taking care of me." He sat down breathing lightly. He also released the 2 girls. After all, unless they dropped down, he doubted they'd get away.
Closing his eyes in pain he gripped the masked one as that was exactly what she tried to do!
"Are you insane?" Naruto shook her saying blandly. She clearly had 0 regard for her life. It reminded him a bit of a certain masked girl/boy.
"Not insane. In love." The green haired girl snarked sarcastically before enlightenment donned on her face.
"Though I suppose they are the same huh?" She smirked at the glaring eyes looking at her. Honestly she need to take herself less seriously. She'd enjoy life better.
"Ah...one of those types huh?" He looked at her in sympathy. He knew the feeling and he knew how it looked. So he decided to give her council. Clearly she needed the talk like he did.
To the deep amusement of the green haired Doll. It was just too good really. The blonde had quite a way around words.
"Hmm." Lashara smiled widely seeing the Seikishi land. Wahanly was patrolling with her contraptions so it was only her and Chiaia.
"He doesn't waste time huh?" Chiaia felt jealousy and deep respect seeing the blonde come back with captives.
He way was too efficient really and by what he told them injured too? She shouldn't have expected less. She mused looking at him with lidded eyes. She wondered if...
Jumping down Naruto aproached them as he placed down the compliant Doll and held the struggling masked girl to him.
"Trust me now Lashara?" He came near her as Chiaia looked at the green haired girl wary that she was free.
She need not though. Doll didn't really have any wish to run. Or rather leave the blonde's side.
Lashara shook her head as she walked up to him looking him in the eyes.
"There was never no doubt Naruto. I was simply worried about your health. Please don't push yourself too hard if it's not necessary like now." She smirked quickly seeing him shy his eyes away from hers slightly.
If she wasn't looking it would be easy to mistake him as looking her in the eyes when he as instead looking just above.
'Fufufu.'
"You look pale. Come and have a rest. Aura and Chiaia will take care of the rest." She pulled him forward.
"Ah. Can you take it a bit easy... on Doll? She isn't all that bad really." He glanced back at the girl returning her small wave. She was surprisingly open contrary to her appearance.
A pleasant suprise.
Rasing a brow she was about to tell him she would do it anyway before pausing. The blonde was clearly weak to affection and relationships soooo.
"Ah~. You put me in a tight spot Naruto. They are terrorists you know? How would it look if I just... I am a Queen after all..." She struggled and trailed off not before taking a glance at his disheartened expression.
'Ugh. Let's not wait.'
"However for you I'll make a exception. Don't worry." She smiled patting his hand, squeezing it absolutely sure her affection points went up.
If she had a counter she was sure she'd hear "*Ding* *Ding* *Ding*" constantly.
Of course lost in her delusional trance she didn't expect the hug as she stiffened before relaxing. "You're really a kind Queen huh? Lashara sama?" He teased her happy she complied with his wish.
'M-maybe the points went up too quickly?!' Lashara gulped.
Who knew the stoic blonde got so huggy?
"She's not eating Naruto. Please deliver this." Vanessa sighed saying. The green haired girl was a piece of work stubbornly refusing to partake in any kind of food.
So after going to Lashara sama she told her to ask Naruto to do it. She was confused at first but still obeyed the advice.
"Him? Doll is?" Naruto grunted out after finishing his pushups sweating. He was trying to get a feel for his body to see where exactly he was damaged the most.
In a rather foolish way Lashara would berate him if she knew.
Vanessa nodded not at all shy as her eye landed on the abs. She couldn't quite say she ever saw many on other male Seikishi. They were mostly pretty ornaments anyway.
"Hmm. She must want to see me." Naruto nodded taking the plate with a thank you. He got a grip on the girl's personality and she was most definitely the type to throw a tantrum.
"Want to come with me? Wouldn't want to.. put you out of a job right?" He smirked back at her trying to rile her up.
Blushing a tad remebering exactly what she and Angela did she smiled contrary to his expectations.
Of ccourse how could he know that the maids felt a bit inferior to their same age counterparts? They weren't unhappy where they were but even the most stoic person would dream of being a Seikishi.
It was a bit exhausting, standing next to more outstanding people. So to be remembered truly touched her. She'd make sure Angela knew to.
Of course this was an exaggeration of a yearing young lady. If the blonde had forgotten her after meeting her the same day, he'd be liable to be placed in a old folkes home.
"Hmm~. I highly doubt someone like you can put me out of a job." She raised a eyebrow looking him up and down as she sped up.
His eye twitching Naruto said "What's that supposed to mean?!"
"All muscle no brain. Still you are cute. I suppose you have that going for you." She giggled walking forward not allowing him another word in.
Speeding up Naruto paused as the tray wobbled before he adjusted his hand steadying it.
"Thanks for the compliment!" He caught it after trying to think of a reply feeling his lips twitch.
"However I'm definitely more than brawns! I can cook you know?!" He tried listing his other traits than fighting and killing.
Vanessa glanced at him with a bored look motioning her hands in a "Eh so so" manner.
Who the hell couldn't cook?
Pursing his lips he said "I can hunt?" Though it came out as a question more than anything.
Sighing Vanessa said nothing.
However the sigh easily conveyed she gave up on him.
Tsking his teeth Naruto grumbled but said nothing else. He'd show her.
"We're here." She opened the door to the two cages.
'That's pretty dangerous?'Naruto thought incredulous. Was this a culture difference or something? Kinda crazy honestly.
"Doll? Why aren't you eating?" He walked forward glancing at the uncovered girl who was glaring at him stuffing her cheeks.
'That's what she looks like huh?' He thought confirming his prior thoughts.
She was very pretty. Unlike Doll who was carefully crafted for no defects, she was clearly some kind of noble with her sharp features. With light brown hair done in a ponytail with a bang across her similarly colored eyes she was quite a sight.
"Grrrr."
Ignoring the animal like sound Naruto sat right across the cage sitting from the ledge.
"Are you insane Naruto?" Doll questioned genuinely seeing him dangling off the no doubt sudden death drop.
"Nope. I should ask you that. Why aren't you eating?" He questioned again taking a bite out of a apple.
'Mmm' He closed his eyes a bit at the pain before moving on.
"Isn't simple? I wanted to see you. You're the only somewhat tolerable person here." She shimmed to the edge of the cage opening her mouth.
Blinking Naruto ingnored the scandalized betrayed gasp from the girl on the side.
Picking up a grape he threw it. Planting it directly in her nose.
"Eek!" She immediately snorted it out coughing looking at his cheeky smile.
"What's your problem?" She barred her teeth all scary like, forgetting her previous aversion of him.
"Me?" Naruto said amused. Was she oblivious?
"I'm not a butler." He placed the tray right down in her cage... or he tried to anyway.
"Jiiiiii."
"*Clink*"
"JIIIIII." The girl stared at him with a nasty smirk. Daring him to say anything.
"*Clank*" Sweating realising the tray didn't fit Naruto refused to look up.
'Huh? What do you know? Funny how things work out.' He looked around with embarrassed eyes. Picking up a fruit he saved himself the embarrassment of talking any further.
"*Chomp* Slave." The girl took a bite of the peach saying so. How fun it was to tease the blonde. Could someone even become that shade of red?
Well, at least the bashful look suited him.
Of course this was all in the view of the other silent prisoner who simply watched with envious eyes.
Why didn't Dagmeyr do that for her?
School. Nuff said.
Also I've tried a different style. Instead of just making a big ahh scene. I can break it up and easily transition through important scenes. It made writing so much easier my god.
It's called author hand wave no jutsu. Of course little fillers will be there.
And please I have no imagination so don't make fun of Naruto's mech.
