I noticed Aleyn a little different, always in constant morning vomiting even though we didn't eat anything out of the ordinary. I prepared to look at the cans of food and the fruits and vegetables we bought to see if any were in bad condition, but they were all ready to be consumed. Not only that, I also noticed that she felt more tired than normal every day. I also noticed that her food preferences changed, she wanted strange food combinations, like ice cream with steak or tacos with strawberry pies, as well as that sometimes she didn't want to eat her favorite foods like vinegar chicken. Seeing all those symptoms and Aleyn going to the bathroom again to vomit, I decided to ask her a question.
"Aleyn, when was the last time she put you down?" I asked my princess interested. She had a suspicion of what was happening, but she believed it was impossible.
"I don't know, about two weeks before the wedding?"
With that confirmation, I showed a small smile, remembering that on the honeymoon. Every time I proposed indecent things to her, my princess always called me a pervert and was embarrassed. However, on the honeymoon, she said that "she didn't want me to say those things in public" and "that I could do whatever I wanted with her at night" and that she didn't try to dissuade me from doing those things. Now everything made sense, Aleyn was not behaving as usual, she was in the ovulation stage where her desires became intense on those dates... Although I was also a fool, since I thought she wanted to give me the perfect wedding night. .
"I get it… Aleyn, I think we're parents, you're pregnant," I replied.
"Dune… I think we should have an abortion," Aleyn answered very nervously. My smile faded upon hearing this proposal from my princess.
"Why do you say that, my princess? Aren't you happy to start a family?" I asked, puzzled.
"It's just that... Since we are different species... This pregnancy can be risky. I could die, or the baby... Or worse, both. I also don't want to imagine the increased risk in the case of a multiple pregnancy. I want to have the baby, but I also don't want the baby to be the reason for leaving you alone in this world", Aleyn answered me crying.
She was a woman of her word and she didn't want to break her promise to leave me alone in this world. But I also want the baby, since it is a sign of our love.
"Aleyn, do you remember the time I got engaged to you on our honeymoon? If we do have children, I would support you in all stages of pregnancy. "I promise that I will give my life so that both you and the baby are strong and healthy," I decide to take Aleyn's hands. "Just trust and do your best, okay?"
Aleyn just hugged me, promising me that she would do her best to take care of herself and our future son or daughter.
Fortunately, the pregnancy was not very different from that of a human pregnancy, so Aleyn's health and that of our son and daughter were not going to be compromised. In fact, we would have two twins, a boy and a girl. According to Aleyn, sometimes women release two small eggs that, if the conditions are met, turn out to be two babies instead of one.
I had to take a lot of care of Aleyn. How to recommend taking iron tablets, helping her go up and down the steps of the house, fulfilling her cravings, helping her with mood swings, as well as tidying up the house and buying things for the babies. As time went by, Aleyn's belly grew bigger and bigger, but the moments that I liked the most about this whole new stage were when Aleyn sang a lullaby from a video game and the babies kicked when Aleyn finished singing each phrase. It was a moment of happiness for me, seeing my princess with her belly growing bigger, and therefore seeing our children grow.
Somehow we made it to 38 weeks pregnant, that morning the contractions became strong. Since Aleyn was working remotely, the girl decided to ask her video game development company for a week off.
"Dune, the water broke!" Aleyn said worriedly.
"The fountain in the square is fine," I said, bewildered.
"No, I mean the kids are coming, we have to go to the hospital," Aleyn said scared.
Running I put on my coat and decided to take her to the hospital where I used to work and admitted Aleyn. I decided to stay out since gynecology was not my area, my area was physiotherapy and it was my day off. A couple of hours passed while she waited restlessly, when a couple of nurses emerged from the delivery room.
"Dr. Hoshikawa, we have good news. "Your wife is stable, as are your twin children."
Without thinking about it, I entered the delivery room where Aleyn was and on each side of her were The twins. They had my green hair, but Aleyn's blue eyes.
"Noah, Vesper, meet your father, Dune. He is a wonderful husband, he took care of the 3 of us. I hope you are happy to have him as a father," Aleyn said showing each of my children.
I extended my two pinkies to my children, who happily took them in their little hands. Then I turned to my princess who was resting and decided to go up and kiss her on the forehead with love and tenderness, happy that she kept the promise of giving birth to our healthy children and that she took care of her.
"I'm happy you're still with me. I promise that I will take care of Noah and Vesper, just as I will take care of you."
