Chapter 8: Seek and Capture
The Cooper trio exit the Pyramid, where their Autobot friends are waiting outside.
Jazz: Did you get the fragment?
Bentley: Yes. But Sly held it and had some… interesting visions…..
Arcee: I think I might have an idea of what you mean, but Prime is guaranteed to know a lot more.
Coopercus hears jet sounds from the sky and sees one.
Coopercus: Guys, I just wanna ask: are jets common in Egypt?
Everyone looks up to see the jet all of the sudden diving down at them.
Bulkhead: GET DOWN! IT'S STARSCREAM!
Everyone evades Starscream's spinning Null-ray attack. He zips back up and transforms to robot.
Starscream: Give me the Allspark fragment, Autobots!
Jazz: Never!
Sly suddenly remembers his secret plan to save Carmelita and that now is the perfect time into action.
Sly: (To Starscream) Hey, Wingnut! You looking for me!? (Waves his arms) I'm Sly Cooper, last of the Cooper Clan!
Murray: Sly! The Hell are you doing!?
Bentley: Did that fragment make you insane!?
Sly: (Shouting to Starscream) I'm assuming your superiors have been looking for me… maybe?!
Arcee: Is this Master Thief trying to get himself stolen?
Starscream smirks. He swoops down once again, evading the Autobots' attacks and grabs Sly.
Bentley/Murray: SLY!
Starscream: If you want him, give me the fragment!
Jazz: Nah. We ain't gonna do scrap!
Starscream: Very well then.
Starscream transforms to Jet, trapping Sly into the cockpit and zooms off. Bentley gets into now car mode Jazz and Murray into Van Coopercus. Bulkhead Transforms into his large car mode, but Arcee stays in Robot mode and gets on top of the big Bulkhead, planning to hang on and shoot at Starscream when they catch up to him.
Bentley: JAZZ! FULL SPEED! NOW!
The cars zoom off as fast as possible after Starscream's trail. Meanwhile, Sly seems a bit chill while trapped in a jet cockpit. His Seeker kidnapper notices this and is a bit confused.
Starscream: You seem a bit too…. Relaxed as a captor, especially a Master Thief like you who could probably get out of anything. BUT NOT ME! I will be taking you to see Megatron.
Sly: Cool. Megatron. Been anticipating meeting him ever since I've been caught up in this underground disguised robot war.
Starscream: Trust me, he isn't as pleasant as he seems and I don't mean "Evil tyrant" pleasant, I mean "Complete Scraphole to his hard working soldiers". If you ask me, the Decepticons need a new leader. Megatron is currently obsessed with digging up this rusty old metal bird fossil and giving it my job.
Meanwhile back on the ground, the Autobots are speeding after the Seeker. Arcee is still holding on top of Bulkhead, shooting her blaster at 'Scream. They keep missing, except for one light shot on his wing.
Starscream: Ahh! No matter. I will soon outfly those Autobrats soon enough!
Sly: Hey, Screamer. After meeting Megatron, do you mind locking me in a cell that maybe has a sexy fox woman?
Starscream: How do you know abo-? Wait a minute! Did you want me to catch you just so you could see her and potentially used your thief skills to sneak out of the Decepticon Lair with her?
Sly: (nervous) Ummmm….. no.
The 'Con Jet starts to spin and maneuver in unsafe ways. Sly is being flung all around the cramped cockpit space.
Starscream: Alright! If you want to see your booty call as I think you earthlings call it, then you must make it through my extremely rough flying and make it to the lair ALIVE!
On the ground, the group are really catching up. Sly is starting to hurt being flung around a lot and starts trying to push every button he can in the cockpit.
Starscream: Give up Mammal! None of those buttons actually work. You'll very likely perish before we get there.
The Raccoon suddenly notices a prominent "EJECT" button on the controls. He pushes it and it surprisingly works, launching him out of the cockpit and into the air. Luckily he has his paraglider.
Starscream: WHAT! HOW!?
The Cooper starts to aim his gliding onto or in front of the Autobots. The Bots start to slow down a bit upon seeing him. But Starscream isn't done with him. He turns back and starts shooting at Sly.
Coopercus: Murray, get out of me!
Murray: But-
Coopercus: Just do it!
Coopercus makes a sharp turn, forcing Murray out. 'Scream finally gets a shot on Sly's Paraglider and the Raccoon starts to fall at a dangerous velocity. The Van revs up and aims and goes at a moderate speed and at the right moment, jumps up, transforms, catching Sly in mid-air and transforming back into the van. Starscream is enraged, but just gives up and flies away. Murray and Bentley are happy that their brother-in-arms is okay. The others….. Not so much…..
Jazz: You call yourself a leader of a band of thieves? Then why did you willingly give yourself up to a Decepticreep?
Bulkhead: Did that fragment really screw with your mind? Because that was just plain stupid.
Arcee: Our leader trusts you and you did that?
Sly: I did it….. For a very personal reason.
Jazz: Oh I get it. You wanted to steal from the 'Cons? Well guess what, it ain't easy at all and for a small guy like you it's a guaranteed DEATH SENTENCE!
Sly: No, it's not like that either. It's-
Arcee: (sighs) Let's just get back to base. (Calls Wheeljack) Wheeljack. We have the Allspark shard. Pinpoint our location and portal us back.
Wheeljack: (Over the call) Sure thing.
While waiting for the Spacebrige portal to appear, Sly looks at his two lifelong friends. They both give him looks saying "We know why you did it".
