Yuri opened her eyes to see that Yukina was still asleep in her bed. Then Yuri noticed something sitting on the end of her bed. It was a small white box wrapped in a red ribbon. She wondered what it was and opened it and to her surprise it was a brand new red scarf.

"I wonder who gave it to me?" She murmured to herself and got up and got dressed and put on her new scarf. She woke Yukina up. Yukina groaned, sitting up.

"Hey, let's go and get some breakfast." Yuri told her. Yukina smiled and nodded, hungry as well. The two stepped out of the room, heading towards the kitchen. They saw Temari cooking some breakfast. Kankuro was sitting down waiting and noticed the two of them.

"About time you two got up."

Temari walked over with some eggs and toast and set the plates down on the table. It was a little burnt up on the edges.

"Dig in!" Temari smiled. Yuri and Yukina ate a couple bites while Kankuro had a look of disgust on his face as he tried keep the food down.

"It's not that bad." Yuri spoke.

"You never had Temari's cooking." Kankuro replied.

"What was that?" Temari glared at him. Kankuro stiffened.

"Nothing."

Then Temari noticed the new scarf that Yuri was wearing.

"I don't recall you wearing that one."

"That's actually what I wanted to ask you guys about. When I woke up there was a present on my bed. Did anyone of you give it to me?" Yuri asked them.

"Not me." Kankuro replied.

"I didn't, but I have a feeling I know who it was." Temari said. If it wasn't Kankuro and it wasn't Temari then it must have been...

"Morning." Yuri eyes widened when she heard Gaara come in and sat down and quietly began to eat. Yuri smiled.

"I assume the present came from you, Gaara?" she asked him.

"Yes." Gaara quietly spoke.

"Thank you. But why? You didn't have to do that." Yuri asked him.

"You were upset when your old one got torn. So, I got you a new one." Gaara spoke.

"Thank you. That was very sweet." Yuri smiled, thanking him again. Gaara felt something strange in his chest. It felt warmer as heart started to beat faster and his cheeks felt hot as well. Yuri stood up.

"I'm going to go train for a bit."

"You're training on vacation?" Kankuro asked.

"I still got to get stronger. I can't fall behind Naruto otherwise I'll never hear the end of it from him. I'll be out in the desert if anyone needs me." Yuri spoke and she left.

A few hours had gone by, and Yuri still hadn't come back yet. Gaara, Temari, Kankuro and Yukina headed out to the desert to look for her. They spotted an oasis out the middle of the desert. As they approached, they saw Yuri standing on the water and manipulating the water with her movements.

"How's training coming along?" Kankuro called out, startling Yuri. The water whipped back, smacking right into her forehead, leaving a small red mark. She hissed feeling the sting and rubbed her forehead.

"Why are you here?" She asked them, while narrowing her eyes at Kankuro.

"You've been out here for a while. We decided to check up on you." Temari told her.

"What was that thing you did?" Kankuro asked her.

"What? Water bending?" Yuri showed them, pulling the water out. "It's a little jutsu my dad showed me. I use my chakra to move it, kind of like with your puppet strings. Although, I think Gaara already knows this ability that I can do."

"How did you know that, Gaara?" Kankuro asked him.

"It's not important." Gaara spoke.

"He spied on me when I was training during the third act of the Chunin exams." Yuri told them, smirking a little. Gaara stayed silent, looking away from her. Temari and Kankuro both blinked.

"It also looks similar to Gaara's sand when he uses his chakra to move it." Temari pointed out.

"Do you guys want to help me train? Maybe throw some stuff at me and I'll try to block it with my water." Yuri told them. Temari smirked pulling out a few kunais.

"Fine by me." And she threw them at Yuri. Yuri quickly moved the water to her center and smacked the weapons away, deflecting them. Kankuro used his puppet and stretched it out, trying to capture Yuri inside of it. Yuri backed away, moving out of the puppet's reach and stretched her arm out. The water darted forward, heading towards Temari and Kankuro like a whip, grabbing the two by their ankles and pulled them in. The two fell in with a splash. Yukina tried to whistle, blowing some invisible weapons at Yuri. A few sliced through the water and Yuri quickly leaned back as she dodged the weapons when they sailed over her and slammed into the trees. Yuri quickly moved heading towards Yukina, jumping and dodging out of the way from more flying projectiles. Yuri moved the water and making a small wave and sent it over towards Yukina. Gaara quickly moved out of the way when the wave came closer. It carried Temari and Kankuro along with it and slammed right into Yukina, knocking her back.

"Looks like it's just you and me, Gaara." Yuri smiled. Gaara said nothing and moved his sand and shot out some sand bullets at her. Yuri dodged out of the way, and some exploded in the water behind her. Yuri used the water to dart towards Gaara, trying to catch him. Gaara quickly moved out the way and lashed out some sand, sending it towards Yuri. Yuri backed away but felt something hard against her back and saw a pillar of sand behind her. The sand slammed into her, covering her body and arms and legs, pinning her to the pillar. Yuri struggled trying to break free of the sand but it wouldn't budge.

"Okay, you win." She pouted. Gaara released the sand of her, and Yuri stood up, brushing some off.

"Looks like I still have a long way to go if I'm going to be able to catch up to you." She smiled. "But that was a good work out."

"Looks like we're going to need to train as well. You completely wiped the floor with us." Temari spoke.

"I let her win." Kankuro remarked.

"Sure you did." Temari scoffed.

Soon enough the week had gone by in a flash. Yuri and Yukina stood outside the gates of Suna with Temari, Kankuro and Gaara.

"I can't believe it's been a week already." Yuri sighed a little sad. She wanted to stay some more. Gaara stayed silent. He also didn't want her to go as well. It all happened so fast.

"Hey, maybe we can come to the Hidden the Leaf village sometime and hang out." Temari told her.

"That sounds great!" Yuri told her.

"So, I guess this is where we say goodbye." Kankuro said, holding his hand out, rubbing his neck. Yuri didn't shake it. She stepped up and wrapped her arms around him, hugging Kankuro. Kankuro eyes widened a little in shock. He hesitantly hugged her back and awkwardly patted her on the back. Yuri stepped back and moved towards Temari, hugging her while Yukina hugged Kankuro as well, who blushed a little.

Yuri glanced over at Gaara, who was quietly staring at her and she stepped over to him. Gaara tensed up a little when he felt Yuri wrapped her arms around him, hugging him. He slowly hugged her back and the two pulled apart.

"See you later." Yuri spoke, softly.

"Yeah, see you later." Gaara said as well.

The three sand siblings silently watched them leave until they were out of sight. Yuri summoned Sakishima and the two rode back to the Leaf Village. In a day in a half they arrived near the gates of the village. Yuri and Yukina hopped down and Sakishima disappeared. When Yuri looked up her eyes widened when she saw Naruto standing by the gates with an old man with long spiky white hair wearing a red and green kimono and mesh garbs, hand garbs and wooden sandals. Next to them was an older woman, who Yuri thought was beautiful. She had a small purple diamond on the center of her forehead, noticeably large breasts, wearing a green haori with a red kanji sign for gamble on it, over a grey kimono style blouse with no sleeves. Also a blueish grey obi that was the same color with her pants and opened toed black heeled sandals, blond hair with long bangs up in two loose ponytails.

"Hey, Naruto! You're back!" Yuri called out to him. Naruto smiled, waving.

"Hey! Yuri, you're never going to believe what happened! We've found Grandma Tsunade but we ran into Orochimaru and Kabuto was there as well!"

"Orochimaru?" Yuri's eyes widened.

"But it's nothing to worry about! Granny and Pervy Sage took care of him and Kabuto! Tsunade agreed to come back to the village with us and become Hokage!" Naruto grinned. "And I've gotten a little stronger! I learned a new secret jutsu! I can't wait to show it to you!"

"So, I assume you're the girl that this brat has been constantly bickering about?" Tsunade asked.

"Who are you calling a brat, old lady!?" Naruto growled at her.

"I told you not to call me an old lady!" Tsunade growled back at him. Yuri watched in disbelief as the two continued to butt heads with each other. So, this is the village's new Hokage? It's definitely going to be a bit livelier around here.
