Hello! Back a bit early, but I couldn't wait to give you guys chapter 16, so here it is!

The vision wiped all his strength from him, as he lay, clutching his head, willing for it to stop. The mind and water stones were evident, and so was this weird crystal. Other than the three bright jewels, everything else was complete and utter darkness.

He writhed on the floor. Hands were touching him frantically, supposedly Nya, but he couldn't find a way to get out of this vision.

Finally, Chase broke free, and the vision faded, much to his relief. He sat up, still shaken and weak.

"Chase? You okay?" Nya was kneeling in front of him, worry shining in her eyes.

"Yeah…yeah, I think so."

"Another vision?"

"Uh-huh." Chase nodded, staring at the floor.

"What was it about?"

Chase pondered whether to tell her, but there was no use in keeping it a secret, especially after she witnessed that horrific vision breakdown he had just displayed. "It showed me the mind and water stones, and another crystal that I've never seen before. They were in complete blackness."

"Huh. First time seeing this one?"

"No. I saw it after rescuing you guys from the attack."

"Why didn't you tell us?"

"I figured you'd be worried since Kai and Lloyd were in pretty bad shape, and I didn't want to worry you anymore."

"But Chase, this is important. You should've just told me the first time."

"I know, I'm sorry." He hung his head.

"It's okay. We should probably ask Sensei about your vision.'

"Okay." Chase stood up and began to walk back towards the bounty when Scarlet bounded over to him and licked his hand.

"Aw, Scarlet." He reached down to pet her. "I have to go now, but I'll be back soon, I promise." Scarlet then bounded off, and Chase lifted the hand she had licked to get a closer look at it. Strangely, her saliva appeared to have little green specks in it. He decided to also ask Wu about that, in case he had an answer.

When they made it back to the bounty, Nya and Chase headed straight for Sensei Wu's meditating room, where he was meditating, as expected.

They knocked, but when he didn't answer, they just opened the door.

Wu blinked an eye open, then closed it again, asking, "What do you want?"

"Sensei, sorry to interrupt, but Chase had a vision," Nya started. This seemed to grab Sensei Wu's attention.

"What kind of vision?"

This time, Chase spoke. "It showed the mind and water stones, and another weird crystal. But they were in a place filled with blackness."

"Ah, do you mean the Realm of the Underworld?"

"Realm of the Underworld?" Chase asked.

"Yes, one of the sixteen realms. A realm full of darkness and evil."

"That might explain the darkness, but what about that crystal?"

"I think that might be the realm crystal, a crystal used to travel between realms. With it, you could retrieve the mind and water stones."

"Yes, but the realm crystal appears to also be in the Underworld, so how do I get to it?"

"That, I do not know." Wu shook his head. "But I assure you, we will find a way."

Chase seemed to have gotten all the answers he needed for now, but still curious about the greenish specks in Scarlet's saliva, he decided to ask Wu about it. "Sensei, uh, one more question, do you have any idea what this is?" He held out his hand. Even Nya hadn't seen it yet, so she gasped.

"Huh. Where did this come from?"

"A fox…in the woods. I'm always around her, and she licked my hand just now, but her saliva appears to have green specks in it. Any ideas?"

"I don't know if I have any, but I think I know someone who might. Zane!" He called out to the corridor. Immediately, metallic footsteps came thudding into the room.

"Yes, Sensei? I heard you urgently call my name."

"Yes, Zane. Is there a way you could find out what exactly is in this saliva?" Sensei asked. Chase held out his hand, and Zane peered at it. He turned on his scanners and began to dissect the contents of the saliva.

After a few seconds, he lit up with joy at his findings.

"What is it, Zane?" Nya asked excitedly.

"It appears to be…a healing serum. One that could work to heal Kai and Lloyd!"

"Really?!" Nya exclaimed.

"Yes, but we'll need more, this isn't enough for both of them, and it's starting to dry out. Where did this come from, Chase?"

"A fox in the woods."

"Is it possible to get more from her?"

"Yes, I think so. I could go now."

"Yes, go right away, and take this with you." Sensei Wu handed Chase one of his empty tea cups.

"Are you sure? Aren't these like…precious to you?"

"Yes, well, our injured ninja are more important than a tea cup. Besides, I can always wash off the excess fox slobber. Now go!"

Chase dashed out the door in a hurry, running down the rocks and into the forest. He reached the mossy log and waited patiently for Scarlet to jump up next to him. But when she didn't, he began to feel worried. Where was she?

He tried whistling and tapping, but nothing worked. She could be sleeping, or far away from this location. Either way, she wasn't showing, and after half an hour, Chase gave up and headed back to the bounty, empty tea cup in hand and head hung in disappointment. He decided he'd try again tomorrow.

Wu and the others were waiting for him in the kitchen. When he walked in empty-handed, they were confused.

"Did you get it?" Nya asked. Chase shook his head.

"Why not?"

"She didn't show." Chase took a seat next to Zane.

"That's weird."

"Does she normally show up when you're in the forest?" Zane asked.

"Yeah, normally. I don't know, I think she might have been sleeping, or maybe hunting. But she doesn't seem like a normal fox, that's for sure." Everyone agreed. Having a healing serum in your saliva was definitely not normal.

"I'm going to try again tomorrow."

"Don't forget, Chase, you have school," Wu said.

"What?"

"You've had a long enough break. You can't fall behind drastically in your education."

"Fine. I'll try before school."

"I'm sure she'll show." Nya squeezed his hand, then got up and retreated to her own room. Zane did the same, and Wu resumed meditating. And Chase was left alone with his thoughts. And let's just say, they were great company.

The next day, Chase awoke to morning sunshine gleaming through his window. It was early, only 6:00 in the morning, so he hastily got ready, then grabbed a cup from the kitchen and headed into the forest to try and collect some more saliva from Scarlet.

But weirdly, once again, Scarlet did not show up. He started to feel worried for the friendly fox. She was his friend, and Chase hoped with all his heart that she was okay.

Once again, Chase retreated back to the bounty unsuccessful. He bowed his head as he packed his bag of school things. Boy, he was not looking forward to school. He hadn't been in a while, so it would probably feel weird. He was kind of looking forward to seeing Kara, but he didn't know if he could trust her. Hopefully, she was nothing more than a normal teenage girl.

He walked to school that day, since the ninja were busy training and doing morning chores. Normally, Jay took him, but he was training hard today, and Chase didn't want to bother him.

Today, he didn't get lost in the huge Ninjago City, probably the only plus to his whole week. He arrived at school when everyone else did, and the halls and classrooms were buzzing with activity. He didn't know if he liked how crowded everything was. It made him feel squished.

Sitting on a bench near his math classroom was Kara. She noticed him before he noticed her, and Chase was startled to hear someone call his name. "Chase!" He whirled around, only to see Kara reading a book on a bench.

"Hi, Kara," he said, taking a seat next to her and setting his back down.

"Where have you been? I feel like I haven't seen you in ages."

"You probably haven't. Um, a lot of personal things have been going on, but I'm back now."

"That's great." She didn't seem like she was buying into Chase's feeble absence excuse, but she dismissed it.

"So, has anything changed?" Chase asked.

"No, not much, but I've been kinda bored without you. My other friend ditched me for some reason, so it's been kinda lonely."

"Oh, sad. Well, now I'm back, so you won't be lonely anymore."

"Aww, thanks. By the way, I kinda know your situation. I heard of it on the news, you at the ambush site and everything."

"Oh me? I wasn't a victim. But you could say I played a part in the rescue."

"Yeah, so anyway, I need to give you something. Meet me back here after the last period, okay?"

"Okay…" Chase was a little bit confused at this strange request. Then something went off in his head. "Hold on, Kara, I don't think the ambush was ever on the news. I should know, I've been keeping up with it." But Kara didn't seem to hear him, and was already heading into the math classroom along with a bunch of other people. Chase followed, keeping his head low. Somehow, Kara was acting just as strange as she was the last time Chase saw her, but Chase didn't know why.

Chase couldn't focus the entire day. Why did Kara want to meet him after school? What did she want to give him? How did she know of the ambush? Questions spun in circles in his mind all through his classes. He didn't eat one bite of his lunch because of perplexity on the matter.

Finally, the bell signaling the end of the final period rang, and Chase hastily packed up his stuff, wanting to know what Kara had for him as soon as possible.

Even with his hasty packing, Kara still made it to the math bench before him. He took a seat next to her.

When Kara saw Chase, she rummaged through her bag and pulled a clear, circular container out, one used for taking medicine to be more precise.

It took a moment for Chase to process what this was, but when he did, his confusion peaked, something he didn't know it could do.

Inside the container was saliva with little green specks in it, just like Scarlet's.

"Wh-where did you get this?" he asked, gingerly taking the container from Kara.

"I know you need it."

"But how? Do you also know about Scarlet, the little red fox? Are you also friends with her?"

"I'm not friends with her, no."

"So how did you get this?"

"Scarlet is me. She's my fox form. I am Scarlet."

That was chapter 16, hope you enjoyed it. It was really fun to write, and a lot of these ideas are from KNinjagoNexoFan47391, so thank you! Reviews are appreciated. Thank you for reading, and stay tuned for more!
