As soon as Holly landed that night in London, she went to the aperation site on the far end of the airport and went to Potter Manor before going to see Peggy. Holly was lucky that her grandparents were asleep when she got to the manor so she didn't have to deal with them and their questions. But Tilupa was awake and helped her mistress with her bags and to get her bed ready for her to sleep in for the night. Tilupa knew why her young mistress was there as she could feel the residual energy from the time spell that Charlus had put onto his granddaughter.
"I hope you find Master Steven and Mr. Bucky soon Ma'am." Tilupa said as she helped her young mistress into bed as she set up the essential oil defuser next to the bed.
Sure Tilupa loved Steve and called him master but Tilupa liking Bucky like this was a shock to everyone around. Holly and Dorea had found out about Tilupa liking Bucky about a week before Holly had left and Bucky went down.
"I hope so too Tilupa." Holly said before going to sleep to the scent of lavender.
Holly then began dreaming about finding Steve and Bucky and not letting them out of her sight ever again.
June 25th, 2010
Holly woke up at 6:30 AM like the rest of the house and went down to have some of the delicious breakfast that Tilupa had prepared. Tilupa had told Charlus and Dorea that Holly was there when they inquired about the third place setting she had set up.
"Good morning sweetheart." Dorea said as Holly came into the dining room.
"Good morning Gran." Holly said with a warm smile.
The two hug before sitting down at the table to eat breakfast.
"Not going to say anything to me?" Charlus asked
"I hate you." Holly said not really looking to the man that made her go back in time, only to have it ripped from her hands when she just got used to being there.
All Holly wanted to do at that moment was to find Bucky and Steve and be with them.
"I expected that." Charlus said as he took a sip from his tea cup.
Holly then looked to the elves who had been setting up breakfast for that morning while she was talking with her grandparents. Since the 40's, Charlus and Dorea had gotten 2 more elves named Dobby and Winky on top of Tilupa. Dobby had been fired from his post in the Malfoy home in 1993 and got employment with the Potter home. Winky had the same fate in 1994 and was brought to the manor by Dobby and Tilupa when they were at the campground collecting the stuff that the Potter's had left.
Charlus and Dorea had promised Holly that Tilupa was hers when they pass on in the hopefully really distant future. When Tilupa had heard that from her family, she squealed in happiness as Holly was her favorite and Holly felt the same way. After breakfast, Holly took a shower and got dressed before apperating to get some flowers before going to see Peggy in her retirement home. And because of the potions her grandfather had been feeding her friend, it was a normal retirement home and not a memory care one.
As Holly walked into Peggy's room, she saw that the older woman was reading a book that Holy remembered Peggy had in the forties. It was a really good book as Holly had read it herself a few times in her 2 year in the past as she needed a distraction. Peggy and Holly had given book recommendations for whenever they had downtime, which wasn't very often in wartime.
"Hello Peggy." Holly said as she entered the room.
"Holly!" Peggy said with a wide smile.
Peggy put the book down hugged Holly before they sat down and began talking about stuff with each other.
"So what's been going on with you?" Peggy asked
"I just got back from the forties." Holly replied
The smile on Peggy's face soon turned sad as soon as those words left Holly's lips.
"So how are feeling?" Peggy asked
"Pretty sad. I had just gotten used to living back there and it was ripped away from me." Holly said
Holly knew from the stories from Howard and Charlus, they couldn't find Steve, so it was a good idea that she was here and not there. Holly soon sign Peggy out of the home around lunch and went to go eat at a restaurant that they frequented back in the 40's. The restaurant was almost like Kowalski's Bakery in New York that Holly loved to eat at so much whenever she was there. The bakery is now run by the founders son Johnathan Kowalski who had brought in his son Roger and daughter Annie.
July 9th, 2010
After two week of bing in England and talking to Peggy, Holly was back at work doing what she was hired to do. Then Tony came in to see her and ask her to lunch.
"Have a good trip?" Tony asked from the doorway.
"Yep." Holly said as she stopped what she was doing to look at her childhood friend.
Holly didn't want to tell Tony about what she, Peggy and her grandparents knew and the reason why she was in England in the first place. How could she tell someone like Tony that she had spent basically 2 years in the past that was only like 2 minutes in this year. While he knew there were time travel spells out there, he wouldn't figure out the spell that was used on Holly.
"Wanna go out for lunch?" Tony asks knowing that his friend may not have eaten real food today.
"Sure." Holly said knowing it was a waste of time to argue with Tony.
Holly then saved everything on her computer and turned it off before getting up to leave with her friend for a restaurant.
"So what are you feeling?" Tony asked once they got to the garage.
"How about Greek food?" Holly suggested
Holly and Tony grew up with only English and American food so when they graduated from Salem they started eating cuisine from other countries. Their favorites were traditional dishes from Greece, China and Ethiopia, though they did like food from other countries.
"Sounds great." Tony said
The two then hop into Tony's car and drive off to Delphi Greek Restaurant and Bar for lunch as it was their favorite in Los Angeles. Their favorite in New York was named Medusa Greek Taverna and it was a bit better then Delphi but Delphi and Medusa were better then the others around. Once the duo was sat at a table and ordered something to drink, they began to talk the things on their minds.
"So I was thinking that we should move the entire HQ to New York." Tony said
"But I thought that you loved it out here in California?" Holly asked
Holly knew that Tony loved it here as he had access to Disneyland, the beach, boating and stores and food that were not available in New York. And having the added bonus of having a whole country and several time zones between him and Lily was just a perk. Living far away from your mother or mother figure was really nice as there was no constant nagging about sleeping or eating habits.
"I do like it out here but I also miss having actual seasons and the snow." Tony said
Tony knew the New England had very pronounced seasons after each equinox and solstice and winters always came with snow. And he knew flying over to a place that has snow was never a good option in the long run on fuel costs and the like. Holly and Tony soon ate all their food while talking and went back to work to earn their paycheck. When Holly entered her office she saw that Nick Fury at her desk when she flicked the lights on.
"Shit you scared me Nick." Holly said
"Sorry for that. I have some information for you." Nick said
"Anything about Bucky?" Holly asked
When Holly was waiting for her plane to England, she had called Nick so he could find Bucky for her and his soulmate.
"I've found him and Captain Rogers." Nick said
"You have?" Holly asked hopefully
Nick handed Holly 2 file folders labeled Sgt. James Barnes and Cpt. Steven Rogers which she gladly took from the SHIELD director. Holly looked over the information she had in her hands and saw the conditions Steve and Bucky were in. Bucky had been brainwashed by HYDRA to become an assassin and Steve was basically an ice cube but was somehow still alive.
"I've found Barnes the day after you had called and took him to the mind healers at the national magical hospital to heal him up. And I've found Captain Rogers last month in the arctic, the blast must have pushed Rogers far enough away from the wreckage so Howard couldn't find him." Nick said
"Are you sure about this info?" Holly asked
"I've verified this information myself. I've seen Sargent Barnes and Captain Rogers myself. I've even talked to Sargent Barnes myself." Nick said
"Can I see them?" Holly asked hoping that she could help with Bucky's recovery.
"I could arrange something for you see them." Nick said
Nick soon left Holly to her own devices and left files with Holly as he knew she wanted to know everything about Steve and Bucky. At 4:30 that night, Holly went home for the night, she took the files with her as she didn't want the people in the office knowing what she did. She didn't need SHIELD secrets out there in the world to be sold off for money or to be traded off for other things beyond her imagination. An hour later when Holly got home with a baggie full of McDonald's food, like a large cola, large fries and a Big Mac.
10 minutes after she sat down at her dining table to eat her food, her phone range and she saw that it was Nick who was calling her.
"Hello?" Holly said
"I have some time for you see Steve." Nick said
"What about Bucky?" Holly asked
"I'm coming over with him now." Nick said before hanging up the phone.
After the hang up, Holly finished up her food, grabbed her drink and got a room ready with magic just incase Bucky was going to stay with her. Soon the doorbell rang and Holly walked to the door and opened it and saw Nick and Bucky waiting for her on the other side.
"Bucky?" Holly asked like he was going to disappear on her again.
"Hi Doll." Bucky said with a smirk
The 2 hugged each other like their lives depended on it, though Bucky had to tone down his strength a lot due to the serum and metal arm Hydra had given him.
"I've missed you Buck." Holly said
"I've missed you as well darling." Bucky said
When the two separated they noticed that Nick was far enough away not to be rude and give them privacy, but close enough to still be in a conversation.
"Are you okay Nick?" Holly asked
"I just wanted to give you some privacy." Nick said
"Want to come in?" Holly asked
Bucky and Nick walked into Holly's house that she had bought with the large amount of money Tony would give her for her salary. Bucky looked around and liked what he saw.
"You got a nice house here Doll." Bucky said
Bucky knew what kind of job Holly had as he was told by Steve and Holly, but didn't know how much she got paid. Though he also knew that she was a Potter with connections to the Stark family, two wealthy families that could have helped her buy this house in cash.
"Thank you Bucky." Holly said
As Holly watched Bucky, she noticed that he had this demeanor about him.
"Buck are you okay?" Holly asked
"No I'm not. As the mind healers took the brainwashing off me, I began remembering what I had done while I was under. Doll, I've done some pretty terrible things." Bucky said
"Like what?" Holly asked
"I'm the one who had killed Howard that night in 1991 and made his son an orphan." He replied
Holly was shocked at this information as she now knew what happened to them.
"But you were not in control. HYDRA had brainwashed you to do their bidding." Holly said
"I know that. But I still feel guilty. The memories still haunt me at night and give me nightmares." Bucky said
"Want to try dreamless sleep potion?" Holly asked
"What's that?" Bucky asked in return
"It's a potion that makes sure that you have no nightmares. About 2 days after I got back from the 40's, I took it because of what I've seen in the war." Holly had explained
"Is it safe if I take it?" Bucky asked
"Its 100% safe for you. More so since HYDRA gave you their version of the super soldier serum." Holly said
"Is there anyway that I can get this potion?" Bucky asked
"I can go into the local alley and get some for you if that's what you want." Holly said
"Only if you want to. I'll be just as happy if I get a silencing charm around my room." Bucky said
"So where are you going to live? I mean, you can't be in SHIELD custody the whole time." Holly questioned as she looked between Bucky and Nick.
"That was one reason why I brought him over here. He requested to live with you so he could have some resemblance of freedom." Nick said
"Is that okay with you?" Holly asked
"If he does live here, he needs a job. And Maria feels that he should be around you in your eye line." Nick said
"So she's saying that she want him to be like my bodyguard or something?" Holly asked
Holly knew that if she did that, Happy Hogan would have a field day.
"In a way." Nick said
Holly thought about it for a second and turned back to Nick.
"He can stay here, but id have to talk to the security office of Stark Industries. Happy would not like it if I go over his head by hiring him without talking to him first." Holly said
"Then do that. I know that Happy will want a full background on Barnes. And when that happens, call me and I'll get everything together for him." Nick said
"And hopefully he won't have a conniption fit once he knows everything about Bucky that he's allowed to know." Holly said
Nick had soon left and Holly showed Bucky where he would be sleeping for the foreseeable future.
"This seems cosy." Bucky said looking around.
"If you want, I could help you decorate it to your liking. Though if you want anything that can't be found in stores, I would be happy to special order it." Holly said
Holly knew that if Bucky wanted something like specialty movie posters of records, she would would need to go in the internet to find them.
"Ill think about it." Bucky said
