Chapter Title: Fight Night by the Docks - Part 2

0-0-0-0

Scene 1

Blake Belladonna had been having a very weird term in Beacon.

She wanted to make a difference for her fellow Faunus, and against her parents' wishes, joined the White Fang when they were beginning to be radicalized and started using more forceful methods of achieving the peace and equality that Faunus deserved to have. But as the years went by, her views were gradually broken down and dragged through the mud at seeing some of the atrocities being done by the White Fang. Her leader, partner, and once boyfriend had become very vocal about using physical retaliation to go against those who would give them any perceived slight, even a simple bump of the shoulders would somehow translate to some Faunus bigotry that needed to be removed with extreme prejudice.

It all accumulated to the final mission she would undertake for the White Fang. She and Adam were going to hijack the Schnee train carrying Dust Crystals and other valuable cargo, and Adam was callous at the fact there were innocents on the train they were planning to blow up after gathering the items they needed for the group. That was when she saw something that was beyond the mask he wore, something that made her realize that Adam had changed a lot in a bad way.

That was the moment she knew that she had to leave the White Fang.

After severing the train cart, Blake took the time traveling on the train to gather herself and to consider her options. She had effectively cut herself off from possible ties with the White Fang and her parents, and Blake had to do something about the once peaceful group before they went too far with their actions. She admitted to almost getting a heart attack when she arrived at the station to find Ozpin waiting patiently with a cup of coffee at hand, daring to look innocent like it was pure coincidence meeting her there and just offer her a spot at Beacon. She tried to refuse, but the man merely smiled while saying a few points that made it clear that Blake had entered Vale illegally with the intent to hijack a train along with other missions she had undertaken over the years, some of which she had no idea how he got the information. With that hanging over her head and her desire to repent, Blake had to take the offer and thus came to Beacon a few months later.

Coming to Beacon was a very weird experience. Becoming a member of a team that was led by a fifteen-year old girl, her partner being a bombastic blonde bombshell who was the elder sister of said leader, and the last member being a Schnee of all people, all that was a major twister in her head. At least she was able to experience city life and an actual school even if she was undercover for most of the time. She also got to meet the members of the sister team, like the quiet Lie Ren, the bombastic and somewhat crazy Nora Valkyrie, THE Pyrrha Nikos!

And then, there was the leader of JNPR, Jaune Arc.

At first glance, she considered him a bit of a noodle. He was not the most agile of fighters nor the most hard hitting. If she were honest, he was perhaps the most normal of the team with a basic shield and sword, and kind of stuck out like a sore thumb. Then again she was a little biased against anyone being compared to THE Pyrrha Nikos.

At least until he started using those other weapons obtained from the burial site by the forest done for their initiation.

Something felt wrong to her senses each time he used any of them. All of her instincts kept screaming danger during those periods and were telling her to either attack without mercy or to get away from him at all costs. It was very distracting to say the least, and it was not helped with how each weapon felt to her when he brought them out.

Crimson Blitz made it felt that she was surrounded by razor sharp blades that would cut her skin if she tried to move in either direction.

Mjolnir gave her the sensation that she was in the middle of a thunderstorm ready to rain down lightning bolts on her.

The odd looking dagger that sounded like a flute gave the feeling that she was being hunted by a wolf no matter how much she tried running.

The gauntlets Yang had nicknamed the Beowulf based on the design felt like there was a creature that wished to rain judgment upon her.

Something about each and every weapon that Jaune had obtained from the cave was making her very tense despite the knowledge that the young man would not harm her, and there were the odd images she kept having around them, like the odd swordsman that held Crimson Blitz, or the blonde hunk of a man that held the hammer. In regards to the latest set of weapons, she could see if she squinted her eyes hazy shadows with glowing eyes that looked at her like she was prey.

Right now, she could really use that perception for these people!

Blake had left Beacon after her argument with Weiss, letting her feet move her about the city as her mind was torn between wanting to knock some sense into Weiss (said part was fantasizing it with a big wrack of her weapon) and wanting to find proof that the White Fang were being framed for this and thus not involved with the recent Dust robberies. She got a lead in the form of an annoying stowaway named Sun Wukong who had tagged along in some attempt to get her attention and gave her information about the upcoming Dust shipment at the docks that was arriving this evening. She had done some reconnaissance and had to wonder about the lack of security in the ports, although she had heard rumors that Schnee had supposedly cut back on certain areas for cost efficiency.

It was a few hours later that she saw the Bullheads arrive in the dark, her heart sinking at the sight of those she once considered to be her brothers and sisters jumping out of the vehicles and start moving the Dust crates on board of the Bullheads. She then stared in disbelief at the appearance of Roman Torchwick who came out of the leading Bullhead and actually ordered the White Fang to pick up the pace. It was unbelievable for her to conceive the White Fang would actually listen to a human for orders, said human being a criminal with a very potty mouth.

Before she could jump down to do something (what it was, she had no idea at the time), who should come out from the warehouse but Weiss Schnee, someone who the White Fang would want to tear apart at the sight of her? And she appeared to be pounding that nail with a jackhammer by calling them names and demanding them to get away from her Dust before running away with them following suit. Blake was wondering what idiocy she was doing when the area lit up with the sounds of explosions, electricity, screams and an evil cackle that could only belong to Nora Valkyrie. That was more than enough of a distraction for her to sneak up on Roman and put her blade to his neck while demanding answers.

His flippant reply that he and the White Fang were working together was almost enough to ignite her fury into a blaze, only stopped by the fear that something was really going on that the two extremes were willing to cooperate with each other to attack Vale. That got stronger when more Bullheads appeared with reinforcements and guns to attack her and the others who had evidently taken care of their share of the White Fang. She was then forced to let go of Roman who stood back to allow the White Fang to fight her, the damn coward smirking at the possible irony. Blake hissed in irritation at the setback even as she prepared her weapon to retaliate.

She was angry, and they were in her way.

She would deny everything if her teammates knew what she was thinking, but right now it was appropriate.

Time to pull a Yang and go to town on them.

Scene 2

Well, this was going really well. And yes, Jaune was being sarcastic.

When the reinforcements for the White Fang came in the form of other Bullheads, Jaune and the others had to take cover and planned out their next point of attack. Not an easy thing to do with the Bullheads firing rounds in the general area with a couple dropping off the other members of the White Fang. Roman Torchwick had gotten off from Blake's restraints and was now fighting her with a few of the White Fang attacking at once. The others would like to help but the waves of enemies were keeping them from doing it, with their swords, guns and the odd rocket launcher that was blasting everything apart around them.

Pardon his language, but when the hell did their situation decide to become something out of a fucking Ben Kane movie!

"INCOMING!" That was the only warning he got before a missile hit close to where he was ducking behind, causing him to fly into the wall of the warehouse hard and actually got himself stuck in the scaffolding. He may have Aura, but that still hurts, damn it!

"Jaune, you okay down there!" Yang called out to him from the rooftop where she was dealing with a few attackers.

"Just peachy!" Jaune struggled to get himself out of the scaffold wall only to have his sword stuck at the worst angle and timing as a couple of the White Fang rushed forward having seen his predicament and hoping to capitalize on his situation. With little choice, Jaune focused on getting himself out first, and making use of his shield to block the first few attacks, before grabbing the dagger from his belt just in case to strike against the Faunus with the blade, fumbling slightly from the short length. Jaune pressed on with the attack and forced the attacker to hit a damaged junction box that shocked him before he was pushed away by his partner to hit the ground unconscious but alive.

"Damn you human!" The partner swung his staff at Jaune who barely managed to bring up his shield in time to block the attack. It had the added effect of forcing Jaune out of the wall and the momentum to swing the dagger widely to split the staff cleanly in half. He used the surprise of the White Fang to come forward and rammed a fist into the man's sternum to knock the wind out of him and then use his hand with the dagger to knock him on the head to render him out of the fight.

"Thank goodness that's over." Jaune replaced the knife in the sheath by the belt before going to his sword to try and get it out, only to pause. "Wait a minute, when did I bring the dagger with me?" Jaune paused to look at the dagger by his belt before shaking his head. "No time to think about that, I got to focus on this." With a hard tug, Jaune managed to pull out the sword and then made his way out back to the fight.

And boy, was things going crazy?!

The docks now resembled a warzone with a good number of the shipping containers turned on their sides or bent out of shape with a few on fire. The ground was torn apart with big holes in them, and the portside was not looking better with some of the boats overturned. It was absolute mayhem and…

Why was Yang on the crane swinging the freaking claw like a lasso!

"YYYYEEEHHHHAAA!" The girl threw the claw right at the closest Bullhead, and Jaune would swear that he could see the pilot panicking right as the claw smashed into the Bullhead and made it spiral out of control towards the crane. "Oh shit!" Yang scrambled to jump off the crane and managed to jump off in time as the Bullhead crashed into the frame and made the crane come crashing down on the storage unit next to it, setting off more explosions than necessary in action film. The young woman continued her way to his side and watched the increasing fire and explosions with growing dread. "I am so dead."

"Yang!" Ruby came to their side with a gaping mouth at the destruction. "What are you doing?!"

"Beating the White Fang." Yang said with a high-and-mighty tone that was not working for her given the amount of destruction around them.

"And making a mess of the place!" Ruby grabbed her head in fear and frustration. "Dad is going to hear of this, and when he does, he is going to kill me!"

"What?" Jaune had to blink at that statement.

"He will likely ask why on Remnant did I not stop Yang with her craziness." Ruby was rambling on at this point. "But it was not my fault, it was Yang's! In fact, I get dragged into her mess and craziness almost all the time! Why should I be the one getting the punishment!"

"Hey, I am not always the one who does that!" Yang sputtered at that remark. "You also got me into trouble with your antics!"

"How about that time with Pearson back in Patch? You wrecked him, his car, the gym, and the entire Quad-Ball pitch! Over a handshake of all things!" Ruby threw her hands up in the air.

"That guy was asking for it when he pulled me in to try and kiss me!" Yang answered back with heat.

"On the cheek!" Ruby shouted back.

"Girls, focus!" Jaune interrupted them. "And can someone tell me who that is?" He pointed at a girl that was fighting the White Fang with what appeared to be swords flying about with wires attached to the handles. She was effectively cutting them without much difficulty, all done with a smile on her face that honestly felt a bit creepy to him based on the setting.

"Oh, that is Penny." Ruby answered him with a slightly better tone. "She is a friend that we bumped into earlier while spying on potential rivals in Vale."

"Not spying!" Weiss called out from behind a container before large bolts of lightning lit the area followed by the screams of her opponents.

"Whatever." Yang and Ruby drawled and rolled their eyes in perfect synchronicity, much like a pair of twins Jaune knew at a club. Jaune was just wishing for something else to distract him, and he got it in the form of a monkey Faunus who was jumping around with what may be shotgun-nunchucks hitting every other White Fang around him while trying to get closer to Blake who was still fighting Roman and a couple of other White Fangs.

"WWWWAAA! WAAAAAAATTTAAA! OOORRRRAAA! MUUUUUDDDDAAA!"

And the blond guy was doing those martial arts things he saw on the TV with the appropriate sounds.

"Who is that?" Jaune asked.

"Sun?! What is he doing here?" Ruby looked like she was going to have a headache, while Yang was just cheering the guy on before jumping in for her turn. That was when Weiss came around the corner with a few other White Fang fighters coming from behind, still looking immaculate compared to her attackers who looked like they went through the wood-chipper.

"Why is the monkey jumping around here?" Weiss asked as she fired off a few ice bolts at her opponents to freeze them to the ground before knocking them out with another round of lightning bolts.

"Friend of yours?" Jaune asked while dodging some sword strikes and bashing heads with the shield.

"A stowaway from Mistral." She answered while parrying another attack and knocking the fighter out quickly with a hit of her sword handle. "He was running away from the police and being a general menace to the public. We chased him down but missed him by a block when we bumped into Penny."

"That, and I think he has a crush on Blakey." Yang called out while delivering a haymaker on her attacker.

"Perfect, just perfect. What else can happen on this night?" His answer came in the form of Penny coming onto the scene with her blades moving about in a perfect circle before bringing them forward with their pointed ends at one of the Bullheads still firing upon them. The blades spun while a bright green ball of energy appeared at the end before it was blasted right at the Bullheads as a giant beam, taking most of the Bullheads out in a single blast. Then, as though it was not enough, she decided to throw physics to the curb by sending her blades to the nearest Bullhead still in the air and somehow start pulling it with her feet firmly placed on the ground while walking. Then with a big tug, she pulled it straight down to the ground with the effort of one pulling a balloon down to their level, resulting in a spectacular explosion that wrecked a good number of the containers and took out other Bullheads on the ground.

"That's it, I don't care anymore!" Roman kicked Blake away and fired a round to the ground to disrupt the fight with Sun. "We got what we needed already! Let's go!" The White Fang still standing went to grab whoever was closest along with whatever Dust containers they could get their hands and rushed to the remaining Bullheads. Roman boarded the last one as it got to the air and turned to tip his hat at the group before looking at Blake.

"See you around, kitty!" Then oddly enough, Roman pointed a finger at Jaune. "You too, Mister Celebrity for Faunus!"

"Wait, wha?" Jaune had no idea what to say about that, but the last Bullhead to leave the docks decided to give them one last parting gift in the form of missiles fired right at them and more importantly, the Dust containers behind them. "Incoming!"

"I got this!" Nora brought out her grenade gun, took a second to aim with her tongue out, and fired a round at the leading missile. As it hit it, the lightning Dust activated and spread to the other missiles, and in one shot, blew most of them up spectacularly. The two that got past though got handled by Pyrrha who used her semblance in conjunction with her bullets to hit the missiles to make them go off course before hitting each other and detonating at the same time. During this chaos, the Bullheads were pulling back to get away, and with them Roman, some of the White Fang and some of the Dust they managed to acquire in the mess.

"Damn it, we are losing them!" Yang threw her arms up in frustration. Jaune looked to the girl with the flying swords if she was doing something only for her to have her hands full with the other White Fang members. He looked back at the Bullheads, cursing the fact that he had no long range capabilities and that he left Crimson Blitz back in the locker as part of the agreement with the professors to not let the other weapons out with all that had gone on. All he had on him was Crocea Mors and the dagger from the cave, none of which would grant him a long range attack.

He just wished he had a longer reach…

Jaune's vision swam briefly before he found himself in a different landscape, with what looked to be multiple Nevermores flapping their wings in the air and screeching at him and a man next to him. Said man was the one from his dreams, but he was in a sorry state with torn clothes and blood stains. The man was also holding one limp arm that looked like it went through the shredder, but his eyes were defiant, and there was something about him that had chills going down Jaune's spine, like a shadow of menace clinging to him. A roar drew his attention back to the flock where a King Nevermore appeared above the other Grimm, the size dwarfing the flock by at least double by wingspan alone. It was a hopeless situation to anyone's eyes, but the man seemed to take deep breaths before straightening himself and pulling out a black half-mask that looked rather disconcerting like it had been carved out of a Beowulf's head. With another breath, he placed it on his face, and through the eyeholes, the iris turned yellow and his clothes seemed to be bleeding into black as he pulled out his sword that was glowing a sickly green even in the dark setting, and the dagger that was glowing crimson.

"You think you can kill me?" The man growled not unlike that of a wolf. "Think again." He brought up both weapons and placed them together, the auras coming off them clashing into one another like a maelstrom before the dagger disappeared and the long sword changed into a single-edge black blade with a big handle, the sharp edge glowing a dark yellow. With a yell, he swung it hard, unleashing a beam that shaped itself into that of a crescent moon that sliced through the Grimm flock and finally the King Nevermore in half, making it let out a dying caw as it dropped to the ground and…

"Whoa, Jaune!" Jaune blinked and he was back on the docks, Corcea Mors held in both hands and swung, and the others gaping at him for doing something that managed to take down two of the Bullheads, the rest now retreating at full speed. "When did you learn to do that?"

"What did I do exactly?" Jaune asked as he slowly moved while cradling his head, feeling a little lightheaded from whatever action he performed.

"You just fired off a massive beam of light with your sword, and it went KABOOM on them!" Nora answered for them while using her arms to illustrate the explosion of whatever he did. "It was like a crescent moon sent out to cut them down!"

"I did?" Jaune could not help but repeat that question. Team RWBY did not hear that as they spotted their wayward member and rushed forward to get to her, leaving Jaune with his team.

"Jaune, are you having one of those moments again?" Ren asked with a furrowed brow.

"This has been happening a few times now." Jaune looked down to the ground, a pit growing in his stomach at the thought he was losing his memories or his mind more likely with the number of times he had those visions and he did something unconsciously.

"Maybe you need to see Professor Port or Ozpin later." Pyrrha placed a hand on his shoulder to assure him, somewhat marred by her own worried expression. "If not a doctor?"

"Yeah, I think I better do that." Jaune definitely needed help if this kept happening.

"Erm, might as well start now?" Nora squeaked in fear, prompting the three to turn around and their faces going pale at the sight of Glynda Goodwitch bearing down on them with a stern glare and what looked like the district's entire police force coming into the docks. And with them being surrounded by defeated White Fang and destroyed Dust containers that amounted to millions of Lien to be paid for damages?

Was it too late to ask for a transfer to Shade?

Scene 3

"She is getting into her stride." Peter whispered to his friend as they watched Glynda verbally tear into the students who were all on their knees in Ozpin's office and looking like five year olds getting caught with their hands in the cookie jars. Ruby Rose certainly looked the part given how she had been trying to get a few snacks on the way back and had her hand in a literal jar of cookies when Glynda came into the office like a hurricane. "It has been a straight 15 minutes since we came back to the campus."

"I hope she does not take it too far." Bartholomew answered while wincing at Glynda who was chewing Yang Xia Long out over her actions with the crane. "I mean, they did manage to restrict the damage to a small part of the docks, they were able to capture a fair number of White Fang members, and more importantly, stopped the Dust from getting stolen."

"There is still damage to the ports!" The woman turned to face the two men with a glare that got both men snapping to attention unconsciously. "Not to mention, they were supposed to call us before attacking the White Fang. Much of the action could be contained!"

"Now Glynda, I think they got the picture." Ozpin smoothly interrupted Glynda when she took a breath. The look on her face would have scared even the hardest general of Atlas, but Ozpin merely took another sip of his drink as he looked at the students.

"Now, I understand we have asked you to find your wayward friend for truancy. And notably, you did make sure to alert us of troubles that occurred last night." He spoke with the air of one commenting on the weather. "You did try to limit the damage while preventing the theft of the Dust crystals, and also found the identities of the people perpetuating the robberies of the Dust Stores. All with actual video and photographic proof, the officers would be pleased to know this."

"However." This stopped an early celebration from Yang and Nora. "I understand that there were orders to keep away from the attackers, and that you should only be there to find Miss Belladonna and bring her back. Not to engage them in combat." He then took another sip of his drink, making Jaune wonder if he was doing it out of genuine thirst or a sense of drama. It was certainly working for the latter with everyone looking down at their feet.

"In addition, Miss Belladonna." The young woman in question straightened her back at this. "I already knew that bringing you into my institution would be a challenge, and that somewhere in the future, you would likely be confronted by your past coming back to haunt you in some manner. By accepting you into the academy, I accepted that bit of knowledge. That said, you were supposed to talk it out with your teammates. While it is not unusual for teams to experience difficulties in their time together in and out of Beacon, getting into dangerous fights that cause significant property damage is." He paused again, an apparent master of causing guilt through well timed silences. "It is even worse when your actions endanger not just your own life, but the lives of your teammates. And then we have the lives of those outside of your team." The girl appeared to be wilting in her chair as he spoke.

"You clearly showed at the time of my invitation that you wished to step away from the mistakes you once made. Yet, when the moment comes, I see that you are having issues doing so indefinitely. Given the circumstances and recent vocal arguments, I believe that Weiss Schnee would be well within her rights to request your removal from Beacon."

"No!" Said girl shouted from leaping from her chair, before covering her mouth with her hand at the outburst. "I'm sorry. What I mean to say is, we can resolve this issue between us. I do not think she needs to leave Beacon."

"Perhaps, but the issue stands that she did go rogue on this matter." Ozpin softly and firmly cut through her words. "If she does not wish to confide with you, I have to wonder if we can continue to have her here, given her apparent unwillingness to move beyond the past." Team RWBY were wincing at that point.

"Sometimes I, as Headmaster, must make decisions students do not agree with – if they are made to protect the majority." Ozpin paused to take another sip of his drink, ramping up the anxiety levels on this. "So unless she gives me a good reason to let her stay this time?" Everyone turned to Blake who was fiddling with her hands for a bit. Then with a deep breath, Blake looked up to look him in the eye.

"You are correct, by all accounts I have messed up plenty. I should have talked it out more with my team, and I should not be committing vigilantism. I let my desire to clear the name of a group I once knew get the better of me, even if", Blake took another breath to fortify herself to say what was evident, "Even if the White Fang as it is now, is not the group I once knew. I just believe them to be misguided."

"I would want to stay, but I also know that you have a responsibility to the academy and my presence may present a threat to all. I will take my punishment as you see fit." Ozpin stayed silent as she talked and now the office felt heavy from the building anticipation and dread from the impending decision.

"Is that your final word?" Ozpin's glasses seemed to glow from the glare of the lights, hiding his eyes from them.

"Yes, Sir." Blake nodded even as Yang reached to grab her hand.

"Very well then." Ozpin unclasped his hand and laid them both on the table. "Blake Belladonna, your actions, while well-meaning, have proven to be disruptive and a potential risk to the public. The police have been quite informative on what you have been doing outside." The young woman winced at that point. "And given what has happened, I will cast my judgment. And that would be." Every one of the students leaned in unconsciously at that point, before they almost face-faulted at the man who decided to take another sip. In so doing, they missed the chuckles from the male teachers or the rolled eyes by Goodwitch.

"You will not be expelled." That answer nearly got them to face fault again. The man chuckled briefly before getting serious. "It is not just for the fact that you have potential that needs to be nurtured, but the main reason is that you are now known to your former compatriots that you are now in Vale, and if memory serves me right, the current White Fang do not look favorably on those who they deemed traitors to their cause."

"Then we will fight them back!" Ruby gave that proclamation.

"Yeah, if they want to get to Blake, they have to get through us for that." Yang answered with a raised fist. Weiss did not say anything but placed a hand on Blake's shoulder for support.

"Nice to hear that. That said, there are conditions for you to stay." And that got the mood down again.

"Awkward." Nora whispered to Ren, only for everyone to hear that.

"I will not lie to you, I will have to do a lot of quick talking to pacify the inspector. But there is one punishment that is non negotiable." The headmaster looked at Blake over his spectacles. "You are hereby placed on probation for your actions. For the remainder of the school year, you will be confined to the academy grounds, unless you are called up for specific reasons such as mandatory missions, other factors of your punishment, and emergency incidents where all hands are needed. Those situations will be the exceptions for you to leave." The others wilted at hearing that, and Jaune was thinking in terms of his time when he and his sisters were grounded for long periods for something.

"Also, as part of the punishment and as a means to pacify the police, you'll need to wear an ankle monitor to ensure that you don't break this rule to sneak off campus." That statement by Goodwitch got the girl to stand up and make the chair crash to the ground.

"What?!" Blake gaped "Am I going to be locked away like some sort of animal in a cage next?"

"You're being punished for breaking the law so it's this or prison time as the inspector was pushing for." Ozpin deadpanned as Miss Belladonna looked like her world shattered and the others were also dealing with the details, "Next you shall be performing mandatory community service which will be decided later. The day after tomorrow, you will start seeing a psychologist about these apparent tendencies of yours, and you shall be sharing any other information you may have in regard to the White Fang organization. Failure or refusal for any of these will result in your expulsion and a period of prison time for breaking an entering, trespassing, and acting without a license." The headmaster finished off his drink before letting out a tired sigh. "Make no mistake, Miss Belladonna. I do not take pleasure in this. As stated, the inspector was actually wanting to throw all of you into a jail cell. While Team JNPR and the remainder of Team RWBY can be excused since they only got word of it on the chattervine and they made the effort to inform us, Miss Belladonna had actively seeked the White Fang out, and decided to perform breaking-and-entering for the docks along with not sharing vital information. And when he found out about you going rogue, he pressed for you to get the punishment. With this, you are still able to move around. By all accounts, you should be forbidden from participating in this year's Vytal festival, even if your team can still enter without you."

"Keep in mind students, you are merely huntsmen in training, not licensed. That means you cannot afford to go off guns blazing in any situation, and certainly not perform acts of vigilantism on rumors or snippets of information." Glynda added at this while looking at them over her spectacles. "People are still on edge from your previous altercation with Mister Winchester along with his transgressions. You must be aware of what you do."

The group of students looked down at that, thinking through their professors' words. It was unfair to most of them, but they had to consider the situation that they had gotten themselves in. This was real life and they could not expect to be let off the hook just because they beat up a few bad guys.

It just sucked.

"Well, I think we have covered all that is on this." Ozpin placed his cup on the table for him to refill the contents. "It is late, so you are now dismissed. But I am expecting an after action report on this tomorrow, the leaders should supervise." Jaune and Ruby winced at that but nodded their compliance. With that, the group of students got up from their chairs and made their way to the elevator.

"Ah yes. A quick word with you, Mister Arc." Ozpin stopped the young man from entering the elevator. Jaune gulped while stepping back into the office, hearing the elevator doors closing sounding like the closing of his salvation. "You may relax, Mister Arc. I just want to talk." Ozpin looked amused at the young man's expression while preparing him a cup of tea.

"Sorry, professor." Jaune sat back in the chair he was in and waited for the man who wanted to talk to him about. "I mean, it is the headmaster's office. And that was an intense conversation we had earlier."

"Ah, I know the feeling. When I was a student here myself, I was often wondering when I would get into trouble and be sent here." Ozpin chuckled at this point. "Let's just say that I have contributed plenty of gray hairs to my professors back then before I graduated and took over the post. My last predecessor practically skipped to the landing bay after handing over the position, all while screaming that he was free from me." Jaune choked on the drink and had to set the cup down to clear his throat.

"Now that we got that out of the way." Oh dear.

"Have you had any other visions recently?" Ozpin placed his own cup down to clasp both hands together. Jaune blinked at the sudden change in topic before answering.

"Yeah, I have been having the usual odd dreams and visions." Jaune frowned for a while. "But I seem to be having moments where I don't remember what I did."

"Such as?" Ozpin pressed.

"Earlier in the docks, I had another one of those visions. This time of a man who put on this weird mask that looked like that of a Beowulf, and he did some weird attack on the Grimm. The others apparently saw me doing the same attack that took down the Bullheads, but I have no idea how or why I did that." Jaune placed his head in his hands and pulled slightly on his hair in frustration. "I do not know why, but I am getting very afraid that I have no control."

"Perchance, the man you saw in your visions was the previous owner of one of your latest acquisitions?" Ozpin pointedly looked at the dagger that was still on his belt. Jaune turned to it and frowned before slowly reaching to get it out of the sheath and placed it on the table, the blade edge catching the light from the lamp.

"This would be the one, and the part that is scaring me is that I do not recall taking this with me when we left the campus. Even if it saved me earlier, I am not remembering anything." Jaune looked up with a confused and frightened expression. "Professor, what is happening to me?" Ozpin frowned as he took a long sip of his drink before placing it on the table.

"Jaune, starting tomorrow you will be training with all the weapons you have obtained, or will obtain from the old site in the future. I will be assisting you with this alongside Glynda and possibly Peter." Jaune blinked at that. "It is clear that your possible semblance is at work here, and likely it is starting to interfere with your perception of reality. These visions as we theorized are possible memories of the past found in the weapons, and likely their previous owners have a deep connection with them that you are experiencing everything from them. You definitely need control." Ozpin looked sternly at his student. "I will make sure that you can utilize these weapons properly without getting caught up in the past."

"Erm, thank you?" Jaune could not help the question.

"We can discuss more about this tomorrow, for now, get some rest." Ozpin assured and dismissed him at the same time, prompting the young man to slowly get up from the chair and make his way to the elevator, his mind going at a thousand miles over what just happened. With his mind distracted, he did not see Ozpin looking thoughtfully at his back and his shadow that briefly changed shape to form a bigger figure with the head of a wolf with a horn and glowing amber eyes.

Scene 4

"Damn it!" Beaufort Winchester smashed his fist on the table, causing the cup of tea with a dash of whisky to be knocked off the saucer and spill its contents. The man ignored that as he glared at the television screen that was showing the news of what had happened at the docks the night before, with photos of the White Fang being arrested, the mugshot of Roman Torchwick, and finally the students from Beacon involved with the arrests. Said students were also the ones that got his son into trouble and expelled from Beacon.

It took a lot of money, favors and a fair bit of blackmail to get his boy out of jail, and right now he was trying to make sure the huntsman he had paid to teach the boy would knock some sense into him, but the initial progress reports he had been getting had him thinking he was wasting time and resources on the brat. Sometimes Beaufort wondered if Cardin was really one from his blood, the boy was so bloody thick headed that he could probably use it as a weapon to wrack someone over the head!

That Jaune Arc boy was also a point of contention. His records seemed to be in order despite a couple of irregularities, and the boy did show some fighting capabilities. But Beaufort was not without connections, and he knew the boy was related to other huntsmen of the same family name. He just needed to find a weak link and he could take him down, and maybe even that Mistral champion bitch a few pegs.

His thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the door opening, making him sigh in agitation. "Metty, what did I say about coming in without calling? I told you I don't want to be interrupted." Whatever words he had in mind got forgotten as he turned to find not his assistant, but a woman who had to be sin incarnate with the raven black hair that covered one side of her beautiful face, and a figure that was being shown off by a red dress that may as well be painted on her with how tightly it was hugging the body, stopping just a little below the hips so as to showcase the pale legs beneath it.

"Who the hell are you?" Beaufort demanded while grabbing the gun hidden beneath his desk but holding it there first to keep the element of surprise. "How did you get through security?" Something about this woman with her amber eyes sent chills down his spine despite her oozing hot sexuality.

"Well, they were not paying attention so I just walked right in." The woman answered with a voice that seemed to ignite his blood with sinful thoughts as she slowly walked to the table before leaning in, teasing him with a view with her eye fixed on him. "I am here to give you a little aid."

"And does this aid come with a name?" Beaufort managed to focus enough to ask. The woman gave a dark chuckle at that as she stood back up with a flame appearing on her finger.

"My name is Cinder Fall, and I understand you have a problem with a mutual acquaintance named Ozpin."

Author's Notes:

I AM HERE! WITH A NEW CHAPTER AFTER SO LONG!

Sorry about the delay, work is being a major problem on my end, and writer's block is being a bitch. I had to rewrite this a few times to get to this point, and even now I still feel I am missing something. I am going to need to watch the first three seasons again to get more motivation and ideas for this.

For this chapter, I did something different regarding the consequence of going off doing vigilantism

I will be honest with you guys, I am semi-thinking of cross-posting this with AO3 with how unstable Fanfiction has been for the past couple of years, and this recent issue with the emails and accounts getting interfered is getting on my nerves. I am also getting a lot of trolls and flamers on me, and it is a little disheartening. I am hanging on for now, but I am thinking for this story, I will write all the way to the Fall before considering writing a new story covering the other seasons. I will see what is my mood, for now, let's see if I can get another chapter out before the end of the year.

And I put my pen down for now...
