As much as I would have loved to give you all a new chapter, that won't be for some time, but don't worry, it'll definitely be soon! More info will be at the very end

Chapter 56: Summer camp delights

Two Months Later

Percy was drumming his fingers on the car wheel as he navigated through Long Island, humming to the tune of the radio. He had just entered Montauk, and his eyes were now scanning any signs to enter farm road 3.141. Artemis was sitting beside him, shifting in her seat as she periodically adjusted her seatbelt, seat, and the window. They were driving along a narrow road, passing through farmhouses, wooded hills, and signs on white picket fences that read- PICK YOUR OWN STRAWBERRIES!

Artemis then let out a yelp as she disappeared from Percy's field of vision. He glanced towards her and then snickered. "Comfortable?" he asked as he watched Artemis now lying down flat on her fully reclined seat.

The goddess scrunched her nose. "Why do mortals even make contraptions such as these, and not even make them somewhat comfortable?"

Percy grinned. "I would probably say that they hate themselves, but this one is on me. I did hotwire an old car."

Artemis glared lightly at him. "We could have easily flashed there, but you wanted to do the mortal route."

"Demigod route." Percy corrected. "I'm sure this is how they all enter camp right?"

Artemis snorted. "Yes Percy, they come to camp by road. Not by crash landing in lakes or being chased by monsters."

"Those sound… oddly specific. Anything interesting to share?"

Artemis smiled mysteriously. "We'll let the campers do the talking."

Percy smirked in response. A few minutes later, he spotted the muddy farm road and took the turn, almost immediately banging his head on the roof of the car as he entered the uneven road. The car then moved for a couple more meters, until it jerked to a stop, the tires still revving as Percy pushed the accelerator to its limit.

"Dam." Percy muttered, craning his neck out of the window and swore. "Looks like we're stuck here."

Artemis blinked. "Did you really expect the road to be easily accessible by mortals in the first place?"

"Yes?" Percy said, looking confused. "Won't parents be dropping some of their kids?"

Artemis faintly smiled and then shook her head. "It's not that kind of summer camp ash head." She replied as she got out of the car, Percy soon following her out.

"Okay..." Percy thought as he and Artemis walked along the dirt and slightly murky road. They soon entered the woods, where the road had then ended but had led them to a small hill. Artemis then began to scale it with Percy slowly following behind, and feeling a high concentration of energy coming from nearby. The two then reached the crest of the hill, and found themselves overlooking an empty clearing. In front of them at the distance were a series of torches leading to a stone arch that was supported by a pair of four Grecian pillars wedged tightly together. Carved on the upper part of the structure were the words 'Camp Half-Blood' in Greek, which then immediately switched to English as Percy translated it in his head.

"So, this is it." Percy said aloud. "The demigod camp."

"The only safe haven for all demigods." Artemis replied, pointing at a tree line. "Come on, the borders are just over there."

The two made their way down the hill, until they came to the tree line which Artemis had pointed out. Percy could feel the energy of the place to be much stronger now. He then took a few steps forward, and felt something ripple through him, making him frown.

"That's it?" he asked, confusion laced in his voice. "Was that the magical border? Why is it so weak?"

Artemis then took a step by his side. "You are right; the borders are not up to the mark this time." She replied with a scowl. "Why didn't they bring this up during the solstice meetings?"

"There has to be something more." Percy said, looking around. "Maybe the campers do some patrolling?"

"I recall Zoe mentioning something about a dragon protecting the camp. But I'm not sure how long it has been since then." Artemis murmured. "Come, we should head down."

The gods then entered the camp and made their way through an even path before coming across a wide habited space nestled inside a valley that overlooked the Long Island Sound. Percy noticed fields of strawberries that were being tended to by different people, and just next to it was a big baby blue colored farmhouse. There were even more things that could be seen- volleyball courts, an arena, a large lake with canoes on it. There was even a large forest as well, and what looked like to be the beginning of a beach. Percy even spotted an open pavilion, a two large wall nestled against each other, and what looked like different buildings placed in the shape of a 'U'. The entire place was filled with teenagers of different ages, all of them wearing bright orange t-shirts and running around doing different activities.

It looked almost unreal, seeing something this huge nestled at the tip of long island but here it was. "Thalia would have enjoyed the heck out of this." Percy thought fondly. And she will, before she would know it, she will likely be here one day.

The two off them continued on path they were walking on, which then led to the nearest building, which was the farmhouse. On closer inspection, it looked to be a two story house with an attic as well. It had a white trim and a deck that wrapped around the entire house outside. A bronze eagle weather vane was perched on the highest point of the roof. As Percy was checking it out, something caught his eye. A shadow in the uppermost window of the attic. He was sure that something had moved the curtain behind the stained glass window, giving him the impression that someone was watching him.

"What's up there?" he asked Artemis.

She looked at where Percy was pointing, and a hardened look flashed across her face. "That's… not important now. But I will tell you…or rather Apollo would."

Percy cocked his head to the side. "Something lives in there?"

Artemis didn't respond, and proceeded towards the deck, where sitting there next to the doorway of the house was unfortunately a new familiar face.

"Ohohoho, does father even know you've snuck your little friend down here, sister?" Dionysus asked with a drawl. He looked quite uncomfortable on his lawn chair, wearing khaki shorts, fluffy slippers, and an unbuttoned flower print shirt that showed off his exposed potbelly. His curly hair was greased and slicked back, and he was swirling around a wine glass that was filled to the brim with a dark brown liquid. Next to him were two satyrs standing on either side of him. One of them was holding an empty tray, and the other a packet of cheese crackers.

Artemis made a face. "First, that sounds wrong, never call me that. And second, since when did you start to refer me as your sister?"

"Since I'm bored over here. I'm just stating the truth." Dionysus answered, his bloodshot gaze on Percy. "You have guts coming here, I thought he forbade you from… what was that… contact?"

Percy raised an eyebrow. "I'm surprised you even remembered that with the amount of happy juice you are having now"

Dionysus's eyes flashed. "It's diet coke boy, and I have been unfortunately sober for the past few-"

"Yeah, yeah, off-limits nymph, I know that song." Percy replied. "I was more so commenting about the fact you were half asleep in that meeting."

"Hmph, when you have numerous amounts of brats to keep in line, one tends to be overworked."

"Yes, I'm sure you are doing a splendid job with that, you old codger." Percy snarked.

"Thank you Peter, someone who appreciates my hard work." Dionysus replied, snapping his fingers. "You two, bring the gods some refreshments." He ordered the satyrs, who were now wide eyed and began to make for the door.

"Now, what is this supposed to be. A general visit? Am I being relieved?" Dionysus asked, slightly frowning. "The hunters aren't here right?"

Artemis smirked. "Unfortunately, no. But they told me to pass some more tips on growing the strawberries properly."

Dionysus muttered something about godly intervention when the satyrs arrived. The oldest of the two was already giving Artemis heart eyes, which Artemis rolled her eyes on seeing while Percy lightly glared at him. He then directed his attention to the other, younger satyr, who looked around Thalia's age, maybe around nine. But since satyrs aged slower, he probably was around seventeen.

"Hello." Percy said smiling slightly, bending down to be eye level with the satyr. "What's your name?"

"Grover, sir." The young satyr stumbled, realizing that the person speaking to him was a god.

"Is that for me Grover?" Percy asked, pointing at the goblet in the satyr's hands. Grover abashedly handed the goblet to Percy, who was slightly confused on finding it to be empty.

"It's enchanted." Grover said, looking nervous. "You can ask for any kind of drink, but it can't be alcoholic."

"No special treatment for us Dionysus?" Percy asked the god.

Dionysus sniffed loudly. "Take it up with the big guy, I dare you too. And its Mr. D in this place, I would like my integrity to be intact when I'm here. Imagine a god… ugh."

Percy shrugged, his attention back on the young satyr. "That's a nifty trick. Thanks Grover." He replied. "So anything I want… cherry coke?"

The goblet was then filled with a sparkling caramel colored liquid.

"Whoa… how about blue cherry coke?"

The drink changed then its color to a violent shade of cobalt. Percy took a cautious sip and grinned. Artemis had asked for nectar infused apple juice, and she too was surprised by the quality of the drink.

"Thank you Grover." Percy responded with a grin, the satyr looking more embarrassed as he muttered something incomprehensible.

"You two, dismissed." Dionysus said lazily to the satyrs, who then trotted outside to the lawn

"Where is Chiron, or Arius for that matter. We were supposed to meet him here." Artemis asked Dionysus.

"That old horse is down at the archery range. Make sure you don't spook him though, neither me or the brat have revealed the fact that you are still kicking. As for the brat himself, he must be still whizzing around the forest for all I care."

Artemis frowned. "He hasn't been keeping to himself, has he?"

Dionysus rolled his eyes and then began chugging down his drink. "I don't know or care Artery, go find him yourself. I've got better things to do than play fetch for a 'hunting' goddess like you."

The god then summoned out a face mask, which he wore and then tried to again relax on his chair. Artemis narrowed her eyes and then whispered something to her goblet. A clear light brown liquid then appeared, which was already hot and steaming. She then placed the cup on the table, and turned around to walk away. As she did, she then snapped her fingers, and the steaming drink flew out of the goblet and on to Dionysus's crotch, making him shriek shrilly.

Percy smirked with a wince while he slightly crossed his legs. The two gods then made their way through the strawberry fields, where satyrs ere using their woodland magic to make the fruits grow, by playing 'Strawberry Fields Forever' on their reed pipes. Campers and some nature spirits were staring at the gods and whispering among themselves. Percy spotted an arena in the distance which he was keen on checking out, but Artemis had made a beeline just next to it, where the archery range was. The range was mostly dominated by athletic looking teens with blonde hair and light blue eyes that almost made Percy blink on seeing the resemblance. And just next to the kids, helping a young boy with a bow was a centaur. From the waist up, he looked like a middle aged man with shoulder length brown hair, intense brown eyes and a scruffy beard. He was wearing a grey sweater over a white shirt and tie, a quiver slung behind his back. The lower half of his body however was that of a white stallion.

The centaur then turned around when he heard a light commotion from the campers, his eyes widening on seeing Artemis. He immediately dropped on one knee, the other campers also following suite.

"Lady Artemis." The centaur proclaimed, not looking up. "It is an honor to have you here once again."

Artemis faintly smiled. "Thank you Chiron. You may rise."

The centaur nodded and stood up. "Campers, you are dismissed for now."

The campers in the archery range dispersed, the whispers now increasing as they stared at Artemis, and then at Percy, who seemed to be met with looks of confusion. Even Chiron looked intrigued as he approached the gods, a questioning look on his face.

"It has been a while since I have seen you here. Are the hunters joining us as well, I believe we would have heard their hunting horn by now?"

"I'm afraid they are busy elsewhere. But they do send their regards, and that they will increase their win streak soon." Artemis replied.

"Ah, I see." Chiron replied, a look of relief evident on his face which made Percy smirk. The centaur's gaze was now on him, giving him a quizzical look. "And you are…?"

"Jackson, Percy Jackson." The god replied, shaking the centaur's hand. "I believe we haven't formally met at all before. Of course I did see you in passing, but I mostly heard about you from when I roamed around the mainland."

The centaur blinked. "We have met before?"

"Like I said, not formally. But your students back in Greece had a lot to say about you, when I sometimes used to help them on their quests." Percy replied with a grin. "Of course me being their patron and all…"

Chiron furrowed his eyebrows until they comically widened. He then turned towards Artemis with a questioning gaze, the latter nodding in response.

"Of course… it makes sense. Which other male would Lady Artemis even allow to stand side by side with her- but how- Lord Per-!"

"Shhh! I'm not keen on someone hearing my name and then come poking around." Percy whispered quickly. "Best we use the name I just gave you, or as I like to refer it- my modern name. It's a long story."

Chiron was now gaping at him. "Ah… I have something similar as well. But… you were…"

"That's… also a long story."

Chiron gulped. "Never… in my entire lifetime… did I expect to see the phantom Olympian to reveal himself once again. But to be here, surely Olympus must know then?"

"They do, but the council had decided to not announce his return… yet. Percy isn't supposed to be in contact much with the world, but he was keen on coming to this place after hearing so much about it." Artemis replied with a sigh. "And someone needs to make sure he won't get into any scrapes that will garner attention."

Percy gave her a light indignant look. "That's rude."

Chiron cleared his throat. "I am… I must say I'm not sure how to react to this. But at the very least, I welcome you to Camp Half-Blood milord. I'm not sure if you know this Lord- Percy… but this place has quite a connection to you."

"That I have heard. But where is the other person who made this camp happen alongside you then?"

Chiron nodded in understanding. "I see, so you do know of him as well. My, I do hope these reappearances are just simple coincidences…yes?" the centaur asked with a pointed look

Percy slowly nodded. "I should think so… hopefully."

Chiron's eyes twinkled. "Arius… that boy- or man rather, has been camping in the woods these past couple of weeks. He seemed fine interacting with the other campers earlier, but I believe there was an incident during capture the flag that may have caused him to recede in the forest."

Percy's eyes lit up. "Oh? That game has been carried over here as well?"

Artemis frowned slightly. "What incident?"

Chiron sighed. "I believe it has to do with… those events. I've tried speaking to him, but he wouldn't respond."

Artemis and Percy glanced at each other with worried expressions.

"Maybe I should talk to him." Artemis then decided. Percy raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure?"

"I have a brief idea on what this may be about. And I doubt he'll talk about it with anyone else."

"Okay… would you need me to accompany you?"

Artemis smiled. "Relax, I can handle him if things go wayward."

Percy sweatdropped. "Turning people into animals is not the definite way of 'handling' things."

Artemis lightly glared at the god and then patted his shoulder. "Go explore the camp, I'll be back with him soon." She replied.

"He was last spotted in the southern woods. You might find him around there." Chiron offered. Artemis nodded, and then bounded towards the forest. Percy exhaled deeply, and then gave Chiron a grin which made the centaur feel nervous.

"Well then Chiron, let's begin with the tour. Cause I want to see everything."

"Well, I'm sure you must have seen the Big House over there, as well as the strawberry fields." Chiron noted, jutting his head towards the farmhouse.

Percy nodded. "Yep, that is a big house. Does it have a name?"

"I just told you, it's called the Big House."

"…Ohhhh. Yeah, that's quite appropriate." Percy said with a chuckle.

"Of course, here we have the archery range which I supervise." Chiron said, gesturing around him. "We have a lot of skilled archers as well, mostly Apollo's children, however there are other, and, some excellent medics among Apollo's children."

"The kids from before, they were all Apollo's?"

"Almost all. Here, we have the combat arena, where the campers hone their prowess in melee weapons. Swords, spears, and more. I too help here, but this one is mostly taught by the senior camp counsellors."

The two then headed east, where there were more campers relaxing on the fields and low hills, their orange shirts spelling out 'CAMP HALF-BLOOD'. And all of them were of course staring and nudging each other while pointing at Percy.

"I apologize for their lack of discreetness, things in camp spread very fast I'm afraid." Chiron said apologetically. "You might find some curious faces who might come up to you with questions."

"That's alright, I'll just have to get used to the attention again. But do you think they know I'm a god?" Percy asked.

"I don't believe so, you and Artemis have kept yourself in check quite well. Otherwise we would have sensed your presence a while ago. But you do still have an aura within you that is… outwardly."

"Gotcha." Percy muttered, his eyes immediately widening. 'Whoa… I remember back when there was only just one of these guys." Percy remarked as he stared at the herd of pegasi roaming around a stable. Chiron didn't seem that keen to go over there, while Percy grinned as he went ahead to get a closer look. He spotted a pure black pegasus foal that was being tended to by some satyrs, its eyes making contact with Percy. The god tilted his head to the side, slightly surprised on seeing the foal copy his actions too.

A series of flapping noises then appeared above Percy, and he ducked as some of the pegasi being flown around were coming towards them, and flying haphazardly.

"Shaun, Samantha! Don't leave the unexperienced campers unattended!" Chiron exclaimed to two campers who were scrambling on top of a pegasus each, a chorus of 'Yes!' emitting from them.

"Would they need any help?" Percy asked, walking back to Chiron.

Chiron shook his head. "They will be fine. Ah, we have the forge and armory over here." the centaur stated, pointing at a couple of buildings, one of them lit up like a furnace.

"Don't worry about the noises and fire, that is how it usually is when the children of Hephaestus use it. They help in making standard celestial bronze weapons which we store in the armory next to it. Included with those weapons are also a lot of vintage and ancestral armaments as well. Some of them even date back during the time of the gods in Greece, and other places where they moved too."

"Seriously?" Percy asked. "Now that is something definitely worth checking out."

"Indeed. I believe your weapons are… something entirely different, isn't it?" Chiron inquired.

"Yeah, umbra ore. The user can practically make anything what they imagine, as it is wielded by creativity from what I understand. But mine is hardwired to just weapons."

"That is fascinating." Chiron said, nodding appreciatively. "The children of Hephaestus and Athena will go wild if they ever come across something like this. Best to keep it to yourself."

Percy chuckled. "I don't mind. Say, what are those buildings clustered together, near the lake?"

"Ahh, this will be interesting to you." Chiron replied with a smile, trotting towards a large clearing, about the size of a soccer field. The area was dotted with Greek statues, fountains, flower beds and even a couple of basketball hoops. And surrounding the area was an assortment of different buildings that would look bizarre to someone seeing them for the first time. But not to Percy.

But other than that, Percy was instead staring at a huge stone-lined fire pit in the center of the field. Even though the weather was warm, the fire was still smoldering. A grin came on his face when he spotted a girl about nine years old tending to the hearth. Her face was partially covered with a brown shawl, but Percy could see the warm fiery eyes poking out, giving him a mirthful look. She gestured for Percy to stay in his place when he was about to run towards her, placing a finger on her lips as she conveyed her message.

"The cabins for the demigods." Chiron announced. "One for each Olympian god."

Percy winked at the girl and then took in the buildings in front of him, an appreciative look in his eyes. There were twelve cabins in total arranged in the shape of a 'U', with two at the base and five in a row on either side. Percy immediately recognized the order to be similar to the god's thrones back on Olympus. But even if it weren't for the placement, he still recognized which cabin was whose.

Each cabin had a large brass number above the door, odds on the left side, and evens on the right. The pair of cabins at the head reminded Percy of grand matching mausoleums for a couple- big white marble structures with heavy columns in front that were fit for the king and queen of Olympus. Zeus's cabin was of course the biggest of all the cabins, its polished bronze doors shimmering like a holograph, so that from different angles, lightning bolts seemed to streak across them. Hera's cabin looked more graceful somehow, with slimmer columns that were garlanded with pomegranates and lotus flowers. The walls of the cabin were carved with the images of peacocks.

"I'm guessing some of these cabins are only built for honorary purposes." Percy guessed. "Hera, Poseidon, Zeus- and of course Artemis."

"That is correct. However, Artemis's hunters do use her cabin when they visit camp, as it is their right." Chiron replied.

"That's cool." Percy replied, staring at the Zeus cabin. The place where Thalia would most likely be staying in, once she got to camp.

"Can I go inside?"

Chiron blinked. "I don't think that would be wise… if you are supposed to remain incognito as you said."

"Right, I forgot." Percy replied, turning his attention to the odd numbered cabins. Cabin three wasn't like the first cabin, but long, low, and solid. The outer walls were of rough grey stone that were studded with pieces of seashell and coral, definitely taken from the bottom of the ocean. The faint salty smell of the sea shore almost prompted Percy to take a peek inside, but he refrained himself from doing it instead. Next to it was cabin 5, Ares's. It was bright red in color that looked like it was splashed upon, with scorch marks dotted on the walls and ground near it, and a roof that was lined with barbed wire. A stuffed boar's head hung on the doorway, its mouth dripping with what Percy hoped was not blood.

"Are those… landmines?" Percy frowned, staring at the oddly placed bumps in front of the Ares cabin.

"I am afraid so, yes"

Cabin seven would have been difficult to look at if Percy wasn't a god, or a child of Apollo. It was made out of solid gold that gleamed brilliantly against the sunlight. He could faintly hear a chorus of voices and musical notes being played from inside, likely the residents were doing a rehearsal. Hephaestus's cabin, cabin nine, had a steampunk aesthetic as various gears rotated and wires that poked out of the walls sparked. There were even more smokestacks installed to it than the forge. And fter that was the last cabin left on this side- Hermes. Out of all the cabins however, this one looked the most 'normal' from what Percy had seen. It looked like a regular summer camp cabin, with brown paint that looked freshly applied and a threshold that was under construction. Hermes's symbol, the caduceus, was also attached on the doorway, just above the number plate.

Percy then blinked as he glanced inside the window of the cabin, his eyes widening slightly. "Whoa… that's a lot of kids. Didn't think Hermes liked to get around… that much."

"Oh, I'm afraid that is a misunderstanding." Chiron replied slowly.

"What do you mean-"

"Chiiiii-ronnnnn!"

A loud female voice called out for the centaur before Percy could ask him what he meant. A girl that looked sixteen and strangely familiar quickly approached Chiron and him, looking quite mad. She had honey blonde hair that fell down on her shoulders and bright blue eyes. She was dressed in designer clothes and from the way she looked, she reminded Percy of the child celebrities Thalia would sometimes complain about when she spotted them in magazines. But the air surrounding her and the way she carried herself gave off a rebellious streak instead, coupled with a familiar looking grin that spelled trouble.

"Chiiii-ronnnn! Argus isn't taking me to the city tonight, and I need to be there. I already promised my friends from the Aphrodite cabin that we'll go shopping too, the plan is fixed!"

Chiron sighed. "Miss Hilton, you are very well aware that even just going out every day isn't safe at all for demigods. We cannot allow not just you, but a whole group of demigods as well to do this."

The girl pouted. "But Chiron! I'm expected to be at this event. And don't worry, I won't get into trouble. I have my daddy's 'Get out of jail free' monopoly card if something happens."

Chiron raised an eyebrow. "Is that how you got away from the soup kitchen cyclopes?"

The girl looked slightly embarrassed, and then crossed her arms. "Leroy and his dumb big sword are accompanying me as well. Isn't that enough?"

Chiron groaned lightly. "You are going to anyway sneak out of camp if I refuse, aren't you?" he then said.

"Yep!" The girl replied brightly.

"Tell Leroy to meet me later after his class is finished in the arena. And this is the last outing before camp ends for the summer."

"Yes! Thank you Chiron!" The girl cried, giving the centaur a hug to his side. She curiously glanced at Percy before she remembered that she was supposed to get ready, and ran off to a group of girls outside a cabin, who were soon squealing on hearing the news.

Chiron sighed heavily. "Children." He said simply.

Percy smiled sadly. "Yeah, I know what you mean. Say, you called her Hilton, is she…"

"Miss Paris Hilton? Yes, that is correct. She joined camp just last year when she and her family moved to the East Coast from California. Her father wanted her to attend camp as it was getting quite dangerous for her, though she has developed quite a… social life since coming here."

"Ah… Mr. Hilton?"

"Oh no, her father is Hermes." Chiron replied offhandedly. "She's quite like him too, a jack of all trades. Gets along well with Leroy, a son of Ares and some Aphrodite children."

Percy nodded. "That is surprising. I didn't think there would be famous people who were also demigods."

Chiron smiled. "Many famous personalities are actually demigods, and Miss Hilton is not alone in that. George Washington, Amelia Earhart, James Dean if we are going by recent ones."

Percy blinked. "Really?" he said, staring at the retreating Paris Hilton. "A lot of teenagers though, hardly any kids. Or adults."

"Demigod scent does get stronger when they get older, but it also depends on how powerful the child is as well. However, demigods rarely reach adulthood, and many who do are very much fortunate." Chiron replied, looking morose.

"That was never really the case back then, wasn't it?" Percy said. "It must be difficult if you have been training demigods for so long."

"Yes… it really does, quite depressing. Hmm, should we carry on with the tour?"

Percy pursued his lips but then had his attention now on the even numbered cabins. Cabin four, which was Demeter's, had the biggest flower bed and vegetable garden he had seen so far in the area, with tomato vines hanging on the walls and a roof made entirely out of grass and hay. Then came Athena's cabin which was a simple but sophisticated grey building with drawn white curtains and an owl carved on the doorway. But Percy had a feeling that there was more than meets the eye when it came to the inside of the cabin. Then of course came cabin 8, which was Artemis's. For now, it looked like a normal building that was made completely of silver, and a blank disk that perched on top of the doorway. It was less extravagant than Apollo's, but once nighttime would rise, he knew something special would happen. Now he just hoped he would stay here long enough to see it happen.

The next cabin, well, Percy didn't even need to see it to recognize it. He could just smell the heavy Chanel No. 5, and really wondered if Aphrodite herself supplied her kids with the perfumes, clothes and accessories, or they just had really rich dads to afford them all. But cabin ten didn't look like anything Percy thought it would, which he was pleasantly surprised by. It looked like a mini white Mediterranean bungalow with a deep blue tiled roof and a blue-white checkered deck, which made it seem quite classy in its own way. And then came the final cabin, the ironically odd one among the even cabins. Cabin twelve- Dionysus's. It was a simple wood cabin; it's only defining trait being that it was overrun by grapevines and some areas were stained.

Percy then took a final spin around the area, and then looked slightly confused as he noticed something else.

"What's that over there?" he asked, pointing to a lone building that was some ways away from the cabins, but still facing them if seen from the front of Zeus and Hera's cabin. A brief smile appeared on Chiron's face as he gestured for Percy to follow him, the two making their way towards the building. It was tucked within a shaded area, and had an exterior that was made out of platinum, with a roof that Percy was pretty sure was made of glass, but it looked to be tinted black. The cabin didn't have a number, but on top of the doorway was adorned with the image of an eclipse, which changed between solar and lunar as Percy moved to the side like a holograph. Coupled with the statue of him that they passed by, it was enough to tell Percy what this building was.

"I got… my own cabin?" he breathed out.

Chiron smiled. "You were an Olympian of course, we couldn't leave you out when it came to honoring the gods. Even if that may not be the case anymore."

Percy slowly nodded, tracing his fingers on the Grecian style pillar. "Um, thank you. I… can I take a look?"

"Of course." Chiron answered, stepping aside. Percy slowly stepped inside and swung the door open. He was greeted by a cloud of dust, but was slightly disappointed to see that there wasn't much inside the cabin at all. The interior was nice, a dark mahogany wood flooring and grey brick walls. But other than the unlit fireplace, the cabin was basically empty, which was to be expected.

Percy pursued his lips and then glanced up, finding himself staring at the clear afternoon sky. Perfect for star gazing once it gets dark, he thought. If he hadn't seen the glass roof from before, he would almost have thought that the cabin didn't have any roof at all.

"It's great." He finally said, glancing at Chiron. "A bit empty, but I quite like it."

"Of course, there was no chance of any children residing in here so we didn't really furnish it. And Athena was vehement against having a painted statue of you in there." Chiron replied. Percy had then stepped outside, a frown on his face as looked around.

"So if I have a cabin… where are the others? Like Hecate, or even Hades."

Chiron looked nervous as he stared at Percy, his tail swishing back and forth. "I'm afraid the cabins are only for major Olympians, those who are a part of the council of Olympus and have thrones to signify their importance."

Percy frowned. "I don't have a throne anymore though." He pointed out.

"That is correct, but you were still once a part of the council and an important figure among the Olympians. You also influencing Arius and the island of Skiagis to found camp half-blood made it only obvious to give you an honorary cabin."

"But my mother had a throne too, then…?"

"She did, but she refused to have a cabin. For her, the hearth was enough to have her be honored."

Percy didn't look convinced. "I know Hecate has demigod children. And I'm sure the Olympians aren't the only ones to have children too. Nemesis, Iris- they must be having kids. What about them?"

"The minor gods do have children yes. But since we don't have cabins for those gods, their children are placed in the Hermes cabin."

"Why Hermes?"

"Hermes is the patron god of travelers, that is everyone who uses the roads. Because of that, the Hermes cabin had volunteered to take in all demigods who may not have a cabin, or are undetermined. Lord Hermes too doesn't mind housing those demigods either."

"Undetermined?"

"Demigods whose godly parent is unknown. That is unfortunately a possibility with demigods, many sometimes do not get claimed by their godly parent once they are old enough. Because of that, there is no proper place to have them be in, which is why cabin eleven is also the best suited for them."

Percy just stared blankly at Chiron, and then at the Hermes cabin, and then back at the centaur. "Are you telling me, that there are demigods in there who do not have even have their own space because of their godly parent, or do not even know who their godly parent is at all? Do you realize what that makes them feel?!"

Chiron cringed. "I'm afraid that is the case for a long time now. Sometimes, demigods can go their entire existence without even realizing that they are even one because they are either not claimed, or do not have a strong scent that attracts monsters because of their godly parent. They aren't that powerful compared to children of Apollo and Athena, and hence can live without any training."

"That's… but-" Percy murmured. "But why not have a separate space for them, look at the Hermes Cabin, there are like two dozen of them inside right now. Or at least let them stay in the Big House, I doubt there is a lot of space being occupied in there either."

"That is not feasible lord Perseus." Chiron said tiredly, like he had this conversation before. "The Big House, it's not habitable currently for demigods' long term. And children of minor gods are very few in number, it is not demanding to create full scale cabins for them. As for the undetermined… while the process may be slow, they do eventually may be claimed by their parent. It's just a matter of when and if…"

"If…?" Percy asked, his eye twitching. "Don't tell me they forget about claiming them even now."

Chiron didn't answer, a pained expression on his face.

"Chiron, when was the last time someone got claimed in this camp?"

"About…two months ago."

"And how many undetermined campers have there been since then?"

"…Three."

Percy sighed heavily, a disappointed look on his face. He then walked away on his own, leaving Chiron behind as he took a trail that led him along the canoe lake, his mind already wondering on what can be done.

Artemis was deep into the southern woods as she was trying to find Arius. Nature spirits melted out of their trees and watched her silently as she hopped from tree to tree. She then spotted a humanoid figure tucked away on a high branch. Artemis then dropped down next to the tree and crossed her arms, wondering how the boy was managing to keep himself balanced up there.

Artemis then placed her hand on the tree, sending a message to the dryad residing within it. The tree then began to shake violently and Arius was then flung out from his sleeping spot, and on to the ground.

"Arschloch!" Arius yelled, a colorful string of words soon coming out of him as he gradually picked himself up in a hurry. He then realized that there was someone behind him and turned around, finding himself staring at the moon goddess.

"Oh… oh!" Arius exclaimed. "You guys were supposed to be coming in today, I completely forgot…"

"That's alright." Artemis replied. "What are you doing over here though?"

"This is where I live, obviously." Arius muttered, plopping himself on the ground. He reached for inside his jacket and took out a flask which he then took a quick swig from.

Artemis sniffed the air. "Is that… alcohol?"

"Just beer. Nothing too fancy." He replied. "So, shall we go? I bet Perseus is already being hounded by the campers, need to rescue him-"

"Not before-" Artemis interjected, sitting down on the ground in front of Arius. "You tell me what is happening. Chiron mentioned an incident revolving around you during capture the flag. Are you still trying to suppress what happened back then, or is it something else?"

Arius didn't answer, his eyes darting around everywhere but avoiding Artemis's gaze.

"Arius, how many names do you have on you right now?"

Arius's eyes widened on hearing Artemis's words. He quickly pulled the sides of his jacket together, covering up the tattoos that were momentarily exposed.

"I…" Arius murmured, violently shaking his head. "Nothing happened back there. Or now. Just a foolish Ares kid who set up an explosive in the forest. I managed to get it away in time so all is good…"

Artemis tilted her head in response.

"…I just got tired lady Artemis." Arius groaned. "Just needed some peace and quiet after those theatrics."

"Like back in Germany when you disappeared without a trace?"

Arius scowled. "That's not important anymore."

"Is it? Because it seems like you're trying to recess yourself back into that state." Artemis stated, and then sighed. "Arius, look. You are a grown boy, and for a long time now while also far outside of my jurisdiction as well. But just because of that situation, doesn't mean I still don't care about you or those that were once my own. You went through a lot as you tried to keep peace between the nations, and to protect your friends. Shouldn't it be time you move past that?"

Arius clenched his teeth. "You asked me what I'm doing here, right? Well, what am I even doing here? Because where can I even go? That has been on my mind ever since I touched down here, I'm just hopping from one thing to another, and this place has just entered a long list, again."

"All my life, I have been moving from one attachment to another. I lost parents who I now don't even remember their faces or names anymore to diseases that could have been cured back then. I lost my family within the hunt because of the shortcomings of men, which is not your fault Artemis, it was sadly out of anyone's hands. And I guess Perseus falls somewhere there as well."

"But then there were my fellow comrades back in Skiagis, and the first generation of campers. But they quickly fell too with the oncoming wars. Every single time Artemis, every time I find something to hold on to, I only then lose it gradually. Nothing in my life has been permanent so far… except for my curse of now being immortal for evermore. And I can't even complain, because this is supposed to be a blessing, a gift from the gods."

Arius looked away. "I'm permanent, but I don't want to lose anything more. So I thought leaving everything behind, by being away, it would have maybe helped. It was getting too much, way too much for me to deal with, I had to escape. But here I am now, wallowing in front of you." He replied with a strangled laugh.

"Di immortals, what am I even doing?! I have no clear indication of doing what. Am I supposed to try again here with these demigods? Am I supposed to tag alongside the hunters as a bystander, or should I just fade away like maybe I am supposed to. I am a product of my time after all, maybe I should have died along with it." He said, chuckling harshly.

Artemis was silent as she let Arius talk, her face expressionless. After Arius had finished with a shuddering breath, Artemis slowly got up, a hardened look in her eyes.

"Thank you for being open enough to inform me of this." She told him. "While I do not know what the Fates are spinning for you, I can only hope it won't be plagued with the grievances you have faced. I admit, even though I may have had my grievances with men, that does not extend to the select few I have gotten to know and understand, which includes you."

"Quite an honor then." Arius replied.

Artemis smiled faintly. "It might be. But to repeat your words, stop wallowing in your self-pity. You may have tried to dissipate your feeling by going into solitude, but seeing you here now… maybe there is more for you to do."

"Really? I'll be pleasantly surprised if that happens." Arius said with a yawn. "You got the hunters here?"

"No, but I have aa job for you regarding them." Artemis answered, allowing Arius to change the subject and giving him a contemplative look. "Will I be able to trust you on that?"

Arius blinked. "Um… sicher?"

"It's nothing difficult. I need someone to examine some places here in the country. Me and Perseus will not be available unfortunately for it, but I believe my hunters can accomplish this. And Percy and me think that so can you."

Arius grinned crookedly. "Sounds like a quest. Been a while since I participated in one of those. And the parents are leaving again? Why am I not surprised?"

Artemis chuckled lightly. "Hush boy. Or I'll make sure the hunters know how to deal with you. Now come, let's have you step out of the woods for once."

Artemis and Arius had exited the woods and were making their way to the cabins. They found Chiron at the edge of the common area, looking quite serious as he scraped the ground with his feet. He glanced up on seeing the two approach him, and momentarily relaxed.

"Ah, thank you, lady Artemis." Chiron replied. "How are you feeling child?"

Arius shrugged. "Hungry? I can go for some barbecue."

"I will have the nymphs prepare lunch soon for you all, but I will be taking my leave for now." Chiron replied, turning towards Artemis who was glancing around. "I'm afraid Percy isn't here milady."

Artemis raised an eyebrow. "He didn't go to try the climbing wall challenge without me right?"

"I'm afraid that is not the case." Chiron replied, carefully choosing his next words. "Lord Perseus… he has found out about the demigod situation in Hermes cabin..."

Arius swore while Artemis looked momentarily confused before her eyes widened. "Where is he now?" she demanded.

"He went towards the Big House, but that was a while-"

"Arius, with me." Artemis ordered, bounding down the hill. Arius glanced at her retreating figure and then at the dining pavilion, before letting out a soft groan as he ran after the goddess.

Meanwhile, Percy had found once himself again standing outside the Big House, a strange look on his face. To be honest, he wasn't paying attention to where he was walking, he just took the nearest trail and carried on. But now that he was here again, Chiron's earlier comments and Artemis's hesitation on something related to house reeled back in. He glanced at the attic window again, peering at it carefully. Nothing seemed to be amiss now, but that always was never the case. He then stared ahead at the doorway of the house spotting Grover from before, who was glumly eating a can of soup. Not the soup, but the can itself.

"Hello there." Percy said. "What are you up to?"

"Oh! Um, uh, good afternoon milord!" Grover exclaimed as he scrambled down to kneel.

"Oh no, don't do that it's fine." Percy replied. "Say, I was wondering if you can show me the attic of this place?"

Grover's eyes widened and he let out a startled bleat, immediately covering his mouth with embarrassment. "Th-The attic sir?" he stammered out.

"Yeah? It's not off-limits right?" the god asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Um, Chiron and Mr. D makes sure no one goes in there unless..." Grover replied, trailing off.

"Why not?"

Grover looked nervous. "Um… there's things in there… that shouldn't be touched…"

Percy nodded. "I see… then it won't hurt taking a look."

Grover bleated nervously again as he watched Percy enter the house. The god passed by a couple of rooms, one of them being reinforced with bronze walls. He then made his way for the staircase, which he then climbed up to the first floor, while Grover slowly trailed behind him. He finally found a green trap door on the ceiling and glanced at Grover, who nervously nodded. Percy then unlocked the latch and stepped back as the door swung down and a mechanical ladder descended down from the door. After making sure it was sturdy, Percy then began to climb up, only to immediately stop as he took a quick whiff of the stench that was emitting from the attic.

"Oh, oh… . That is proper disgusting." Percy gagged as he quickly jumped back on the ground.

"Blaaaa, I think there are some rats that died in there." Grover muttered weakly. "I've never been up, but I've heard there are pickled monster parts in there too."

"No, not rats." Percy sniffed, and then made a face. "Snakes. But why snakes…"

Grover didn't answer, a fearful look on his face as he took a step back. Percy then took a deep breath and climbed up the ladder again. The attic was cold and musty, with a thick layer of dust everywhere. It was filled with Greek hero memorabilia junk: armor stands covered in cobwebs, rusted shields, and old leather trunks with stickers plastered all over them. There was a long table that was stacked with glass jars that were filled with pickled monster parts, just like Grover said. A dusty mounted trophy on the wall displayed a hydra's head, it's horns and teeth still intact. A plaque below it read: HYDRA HEAD NO. 1, WOODSTOCK, NY, 1969.

A low hiss then echoed near Percy's ear, prompting him to glance at the other end of the attic, where the stained glass window was. And there he saw the most gruesome looking occupant of the attic, and the possible source of the stench. A mummy.

But it wasn't any plain old withered mummy that was wrapped up like what the Egyptians did. This one was a human female body that was shriveled up to a husk. It wore a tie-dyed sundress, lots of beaded necklaces, and a headband over its long straw like black hair. The skin on the face was leathery and thin, and the eyes were glassy white slits, like someone had removed her actual eyeballs and replaced with marbles. She looked like she had been dead for a long time now.

Percy of course had seen many things in his life, but this was something a bit out of his ordinary. He took a cautious step forward and stared closely at the blank glassy eyes. He wasn't sure what she was supposed to be, but he could feel it. An innate presence, ancient, just like him. Something that was slowly keeping him on edge.

"Perseus?!"

Percy almost head-butted the mummy as he got startled by the shout, and quickly pulled himself back so that he could land back on the attic floor with a loud thud. A set of resounding footsteps echoed underneath him, which only became louder until Arius popped his head up from the trapdoor, a crooked grin on his face.

"Ah, looks like you have met our lovely lady." He said. "Come on, don't interrupt her beauty sleep now."

"What- you know who this is?" Percy whispered, jutting his head towards the mummy.

Arius grimaced. "Ugh, unfortunately. And I really hope I don't meet her again in the future. Come on down, you left behind a very spooked satyr, and Artemis is waiting downstairs."

Percy nodded silently and then glanced at the motionless mummy. He wasn't sure if it was the dim light playing tricks on him, but it almost felt like the mummy's eyes momentarily glowed green. He then shook his head, and descended down the ladder, but not before hearing a low hiss that immediately got masked by the creaking of the wood.

"Oh thank the Fates." Artemis said, sighing with relief on seeing Percy descending down the stairs, looking relatively unharmed, but slightly confused. "She didn't do anything, did she?"

"Nope, she seemed pretty motionless like always." Arius responded, pushing the ladder up to close the trapdoor.

Percy swiveled his head between the two and sighed. "Alright, what was that thing up there?"

Arius fidgeted in his place. "You tell him; it concerns your brother after all." He said to Artemis. "I'll go and see if lunch is ready, I'm famished."

Giving a wave, he slipped away from the two and made his way outside. Grover, the young satyr from before, was hiding behind the pinochle table and quickly ducked his head down as Arius stepped out on to the porch, seemingly ignoring him as the immortal made his way to the dining pavilion. Grover then slowly creeped up from his place, only to find himself being surprised to see that Percy and Artemis were not currently standing in the house. In fact, the two had flashed away from any prying eyes, finding themselves in the southern part of the woods, just near Zephyros creek which parted the forest. Artemis went ahead and sat at the bank, patting the spot next to her for Percy.

"…So, why are we here now?" Percy asked as he looked around.

"So you wouldn't have to shout for what I have to say to the entire camp." Artemis replied, unfazed by the gods incredulous expression.

"I don't… fine, continue." Percy murmured, slumping down to the ground next to her.

Artemis pursued her lips, a strange expression slowly setting on her face. "What, or should I say who you saw in the attic, was the oracle of Delphi."

Percy just stared at the goddess, the latter's expression not changing one bit. When her words finally registered in him, the god took a deep breath and opened his mouth, only to stop as he contemplated something. Artemis smirked lightly in response on seeing him struggle. He then pinched his forehead and stared at Artemis, a weary look on his face.

"At this point… how…" he asked tiredly.

"We don't know for sure." She replied with a frown. On seeing Percy's confusion, she continued. "When the oracle had died, everyone expected the spirit of Delphi to pass on to its next mortal host. But that didn't happen at all, there was no host who received visions to be chosen, nor did Apollo bring one to be it. Everyone else assumed that perhaps, humanity had lost the ability to host the spirit of Delphi."

"Why would they think that?"

Artemis shrugged. "Some believe the great prophecy it had issued was its final act, and hence it was not required of anymore. But that was quickly shot down when the oracle continued to give prophecies when she was alive during the second world war, and even after it ended. But when she died, it was discovered that the spirit didn't disappear. It was still alive…in a now deceased oracle's body."

Percy blinked in response. "Wait, so she's still alive back there? Like a zombie?"

Artemis shook her head. "That maiden's soul has long since passed to Hades. But the spirit of Delphi is still trapped in that body, unable to move on. Us Olympians were stumped on this, and the Fates provided no input either."

"But Apollo, he of course knew something was amiss. If our grandmother, Phoebe, were still around, he could have easily consulted her on the oracle though that was sadly not possible during that time. But the next best thing he did was to remain in Delphi for seven days, where he finally uncovered the truth. That a curse that was placed on the oracle."

"Someone cursed the oracle?" Percy echoed out loud. "I mean, I know Apollo can give off a laid back attitude, but whoever placed the curse must be incredibly powerful if they can handle his fury."

"Or very foolish." Artemis supplied. "Unfortunately, my brother was never heavily involved with the oracle's affairs, and failed to realize something was even wrong with her before her untimely death."

"But you are right in that the being that placed the curse must be powerful, because Apollo still hasn't figured out who even cursed his oracle, or how it came to be, or what the conditions even are to lift it."

"How did Apollo react entirely?" Percy asked.

Artemis sighed. "He was angry, understandably of course. But there wasn't much that could have been done in the end. Even if things were different, I feel that the circumstances would have led to the same conclusion.

Percy quickly glanced behind him, towards the direction of the big house. There was still so much he needed to learn now since coming back, and he had a feeling that there was only more to come. He just hoped that by the end of it, he would be decently prepared for whatever was coming for him. Whether it was from his world, or the one whose knowledge was forbidden to everyone.

But for now at least, he wanted to focus on what he had here in the present, and that was Artemis Even if it was not the best of circumstances which led him to be with her again, at this point, he was grateful for it nonetheless.

"Chiron mentioned you 'stormed' off after hearing about the undetermined demigods in the Hermes cabin?" Artemis then said, lacing her fingers with Percy's. The god frowned, but not because of her touch which he reciprocated.

"I am this close to going up to Olympus again and laying it out to the gods." He murmured. "Something so simple like… why are we always difficult to deal with?"

"I don't know, and believe me, I've asked this question myself quite frequently now." Artemis responded. "In a way, it is who we are."

Percy frowned. "Not like this. Even after so many centuries, one would think we would have changed to some degree. Or maybe it's not the positives that I'm looking for."

"At this point, I'm not even sure what to do regarding them. And with the way Zeus is trying to keep my presence under wraps, it almost feels like he's trying to, I don't know- ow!"

"Don't think that." Artemis replied, lightly glaring at him. "Honestly, your dumb mind just race on, doesn't it?"

"Oi, I have a perfectly sound mind, thank you very much." Percy said, massaging his shoulder. "Just… never mind." The two stood still but close, as they listened to the sounds of the forest, and the gurgling of the creek

Artemis smiled sadly. "Knowing you, I know you're not going to keep your head down. So whatever it is you're planning-" she said, walking ahead of him. "Don't leave me out of it." She said with a wink, before getting up and quickly bounding deep into the forest. Percy slowly blinked and then muttered something about chasing each other as he quickly followed her, wondering what the hunting goddess had in store for him now.

"Ah, I was wondering when you two would show up." Arius said on noticing the gods approaching him. "Have a seat." He replied, gesturing to the table that was spread with an assortment of fruits, breads, grilled vegetables and meats, and bowls filled with olive oil and yoghurt.

"Oh this brings back memories." Percy noted, grabbing a piece of pita bread and some oil. "I'm surprised this form of eating is still around."

Artemis stared at him strangely. "American foods must have rotted your brain Perseus." She declared, passing him a plate. "Have some feta."

"I'm surprised too, though it should have been expected." Arius replied, picking up a skewer. "Food never dies, just like us."

"And you look disappointed saying that." Percy pointed out, slowly leaning on Artemis's side, which made her shiver slightly. Arius shrugged in response, ripping the meat from the skewer in one clean bite.

So milord, what do you think of the place?"

"It is splendid. You did a good job with this arrangement." Percy replied. "Though is there nothing you can do about the situation in the Hermes cabin?"

Arius sighed. "Unfortunately not. Back during my time, everyone used to live under one building, so we didn't really have a problem of if a god didn't have a cabin per say. But after fights kept breaking out, that when we started housing them based on parent. And demigods of minor gods are already rare in between, so making multiple cabins, especially if large scale-"

"It just feels wrong." Percy muttered. "I get a virtually empty cabin which is nice and all, but will never be in use, while the others…"

"But." Arius continued. "I did throw an idea around with Chiron on another separate building made for those demigods, even the undetermined ones. Hopefully there won't be a situation like the previous one if that idea does get passed."

Percy slowly nodded, looking deep in thought as he remembered something.

"Hang on, I need to check something." Percy muttered as he straightened himself, rummaging inside his jacket. He then took out a small glass ball that had mist inside, and crushed it in his hand. The mist then spewed out and shimmered as an image was formed. The scene showed a forested area that was overlooking green mountains. A small lake was also seen nearby.

"San Juan National forest, Colorado." Percy noted. "Not bad bug."

"What's he doing?" Arius asked curiously.

"He's checking up on Thalia. He's been doing it almost every couple of days now." Artemis replied. "You remember the demigod from before."

"The one stuck with Perseus?" Arius said with a frown. "Why is she-" he paused on seeing Artemis subtly shake her head. "Uh… wouldn't she be much safer in a city, instead of being out in the wild?" he instead asked.

"Monsters rarely reside in forests now actually, partly because of me." Artemis replied. "Except for certain cases, they have taken up human settlements as they now have more resources for them to take advantage of. And thanks to the mist, they can go undetected there without anyone knowing."

Percy nodded in response. "That's what we noted too on our travels. Seems like she picked up on it as well."

"Why would she 'pick it up', if she already knew…" Arius thought to himself, deciding to keep quiet.

"Or she kept it in heart." Artemis said.

Percy's face momentarily softened, before it became unreadable. "It's an easy thing to notice." He murmured. "Just patterns and all, nothing much."

Artemis rolled her eyes while Arius kept quiet. Percy then sighed, and swiped his hand through the mist, dissipating the image. He then leaned back and eyed Arius, who suddenly found the marble floor very interesting.

"How are you holding up?" Percy asked him.

"Oh come on, I just had a talk with her, now not you too." Arius complained. Percy chuckled while Artemis had a look of mock outrage.

"Chiron tells me you were hiding out in the woods and I can't get worried? And I though you knew me very well." Percy replied. "Did Artemis mention the task we have for you?"

Arius nodded. "Just to be sure, I'm not chaperoning any hunters while you two are out gallivanting right?" he asked, narrowing his eyes.

Percy shrugged. "If we were, I would have asked Hestia to watch over them."

"Oh, lady Hestia is a good choice, she's nice." Arius agreed.

"But, this involves more hands on approach from you." Percy continued. "You, the hunters. Athena will be briefing you guys on what needs to be done.

"Where are you guys headed anyway?"

"Skiagis for a brief visit." Percy replied. "I need to know the full state of that island, especially before some foolish mortals decide to set foot on it."

"Skiagis huh." Arius said, a wistful look on his face. "Now that brings back memories…"

"You could come sometime with me; I have a feeling you've never been there since-"

Arius suddenly closed his eyes and then winced, a shuddering breath escaping him. Percy paused as well, watching the immortal closely. Arius then quickly cleared his throat and then at Percy with an expectant look, as if saying to carry on.

Percy was silent for a few moments, but then continued. "But after that, we will be in Europe."

Arius sweatdropped. "…The island already is in Europe milord."

"Mainland Europe." Artemis supplied.

"Thanks, that really helped." Arius replied brightly.

"We just want to make sure no one disturbs us too much." Percy replied casually. Arius then raised his eyebrows suggestively, which made the god frown slightly as he evaluated what he just said, while Artemis groaned softly. Before the god could say anything else, a conch horn blew from the distance.

"That's their cue for lunch." Arius said, getting up. "Now unless you want campers and nature spirits swarming the two of you, I would suggest to make your way out. I hear the climbing wall is pretty empty now if you two want to take a crack at it."

Percy and Artemis glanced at each other, and then at Arius, and then back at each other, a smile on both their faces. Arius looked slightly confused, which only grew more as the gods stayed in place, while voices that were distant were now getting closer. The gods then suddenly disappeared, flashing away in bright lights while Arius remained behind, a dumbfounded look on his face. Well, he did say he hated being teleported around, so he couldn't exactly blame them. But that didn't mean he didn't let out a curse as he quickly made his way around the pavilion and take the long way to the wall, so as to not run into any of the campers.

A/N#1: Okay, I admit this myself, this is not where I wanted to end the chapter at all. I had a bit more planned tbh, but I'm afraid doing that won't be possible for now. A bit of context, I'm going to be quite busy early February, so I won't be able to have time to update in those first few weeks. Which is why I figured I'll get a chapter out before then, just to tide you all over.

But that has kinda left me finishing this chapter a bit… short. I'll definitely continue this storyline in the next one as well as the new plot point, but I'm not sure if I should keep this chapter as it is. Should I replace it in the future with an expanded version, or are you guys fine with it like this? Let me know what you think.

A/N #2: So in the end, I decided to expand on this chapter anyway. I did not feel it right to start the next one with what I just wrote above. So I thought, why not update this itself. So here I am. Bit of context on my new break… again… and current schedule, I'm in a different country now. And this is a bit of a permanent arrangement you could say. Which is why it took me a while to get back into writing again, but that's fine now. And if you guys find my upload schedule a bit wonky, its cause of new time zones XD.

But I'm settled now, and hey, we are finally in Camp Half-Blood! And I'm more than excited to finally write about this place and feature it in future chapters. Hope you guys enjoyed this though regardless of how I feel, and I've got more coming in soon as well. I will see you guys in a while again! Bye!...\/
