Angels In Scotland: Part One - Home
Glasgow International Airport
Everyone disembarked the plane after landing. It was late morning outside of Glasgow, Scotland. There still was a mist in the air from last night's rain. The sun peeked out a bit, but still with a chill in the air. Outside the hangar, the two men stood outside the huge doors. They saw the plane land and heard it stop inside the massive metal hangar. They were then allowed inside to wait for the passengers of the private plane to emerge.
Andy Galloway hadn't seen his oldest son in over two years. Sure, they talked at least twice a week, but in person visits were scarce due to the WWE's rigorous schedule. His son had achieved his dream. He wrestled for the WWE. He won the world title twice. And he won other titles before that. He built his career again out of the rubble. And now, he had found his true love to share his life with. Andy could not be prouder of his first-born son.
The other man, a younger, long dark-haired man dressed in black pants and coat smiled at Andy. Jack Jester had been a good friend of Drew's family for many years. Andy and his late wife, Angela thought of Jack as their son. He lived with them as he and Drew had this crazy idea as teens to wrestle and travel the world. To make money and get whatever they wanted. They built an entire Scottish wrestling scene from scratch with Mark Dallas, which Jack kept alive in Drew's absence in America.
But as it usually did, life is quick to derail you or to mess it all up. Drew's downfall was a failed marriage. Pair that with the fact his mom was dying of cancer, Drew headed for a horrible tailspin. Jack Jester tried his best to be a brother. More than a friend. But Drew, being hurt and upset, pushed everyone away and held his pain inside.
But the past three years, Drew overcame the past. He was back in the homeland he loved with his friends and family. Jack even helped induct Drew into the ICW Hall of Fame a few years prior. But now as he stood with the older gentleman who he loved as his own father, Jack Jester just wanted to hug his best mate.
The plane door opened, and Dom emerged, walking down to greet the guards at the foot of the stairs. He then turned back to the doorway, smiling when Drew came out first. He stood at the top of the stairs for a few moments, his eyes closed and inhaling the air. He whispered, "I'm home." Now he opened his eyes, smiling at his father and friend.
He turned back to the plane, reaching for Cherry's hand. She smiled and happily put her hand in his. They walked down the stairs, Drew guiding her slowly saying, "Let's take it easy. Ya got precious cargo onboard ya, my Love.", winking at her. Then, Sheamus and Christine came out, with Kevin and Lady Christina behind them. Once Drew got to the floor of the huge hangar, he knelt, bowing his head and touching the cold ground. Cherry wanted to cry. Her beloved was home, his real home, where his ancestors came from, where he was born. Many nights they talked, arm in arm, in their bed about his longing to see home and take her with him.
Drew got up, walking faster to his father and Jester. The two men stood, looking each other up and down. Papa Andy sighed, "Andrew, I'm so happy ta see ya, son." Drew only said, "Dad." As they hugged, everyone else knew nothing could break that bond. Christine bit her lip, looking upwards and mumbling something about her parents and Angela. Sheamus rubbed her back gently, knowing and understanding the moment she held in her heart.
Now, Jester walked up to Drew, the two men smiling and sizing the other up. Drew said, "Leigh." Leigh Greig was Jack's real name. Jack sighed, "Aye. Drew. Ya look like a fucking wet wipe, Big Yin!" Drew chuckled, "Well, Sunshine, ya've not changed. And ya wonder why I put ya through a table." They laughed, hugging each other tightly.
Jester moaned. "Ya fuckin' wanker! I love ya brother." Drew smiled, "Aye. Yer a good man, Jester." Jester laughed, "Ya, good fer shite. Well, hello there! Let's see: red hair, smoking hot body…ya must be Cherry!" He took her hand and kissed her knuckles. Drew rolled his eyes, "Yer really flirting with my girl in front of me? Dick!" Jack shrugged, "I gotta be me, mate!"
Cherry laughed at the two men, "It's great to meet you! I've heard so much about you." Jack winced, "Ugh! Give me a chance to refute anything this git said!" Drew took her by the hand and led her to Andy, "Dad, I know ya've talked on video chat, but this is Cherry." Andy took her hands in his, "My sweet lass, it's so great ta finally meet the incredible girl who healed my boy's heart in person! Yer even more lovely live in the flesh."
He pulled her into an amazing hug. She wondered no longer where Drew got his strong bear hugs from. She said, "I'm so happy to be here, Mr. Galloway." Andy held up his hand, "Now, none of this Mr. Galloway nonsense! You call me Andy, or Papa, or Dad. My boy loves ya so yer my family." Cherry had tears spring to her eyes. It was the first time in a very long time that she had a father figure of any kind. And knowing that she was carrying this lovely man's grandchildren made this moment extra special as she briefly touched her lower belly. She nodded and said, "I love him, Papa Andy."
Almost immediately, Jack's eyes met with the hazel eyes of Christine. Cool as usual, Jack Jester strolled to her, "Greetings, love. My name's Jester. Jack Jester. Welcome ta Glasgow. The Asylum. We're all a wee bit crazy here." Now he looked at Sheamus, "Fella!" Sheamus shook his head, "Jester, ya fool! Now don't be hitting on my lady. Even though she is the female version of ya. Gods!"
He laughed at the both of them comparing jackets, boots, and of course Jewelry and bandanas. Jester laughed, "Mum always said I had me a twin." Christine smirked, "My mom said that too. And we love to pick on McInfart there. This is gonna be a beautiful friendship." Drew heard this and rolled his eyes, "Ah fer fuck's sake! Here we go!"
Kevin walked over to Drew's father, "Mr. Galloway, sir. I'm Kevin Patrick. Ya see, I'm the leader of Drew's Angels and uh..." Papa Andy waved him off, "Yes, yes. My son's told me all about ya. Yer the guy he tells to bugger off. Let's see that crabwalk, mate!" Kevin only shook his head,"This is worse than Drew picking on me." Lady spoke up, "Andy, I'm Lady Christina. So please to make your acquaintance." He hugged her, "No need ta stand on formalities with me, love."
Papa Andy explained, "Ok. Let's get yer stuff packed up. Your brother and stepmom are throwing a dinner tonight fer yer homecoming at the Waterfront. Tha family is gonna be there. Yer buddies from ICW and University. It's gonna be fun!" Drew gave her a wink, "Good thing I brought some shirts, eh Cherry?", She bit her lips and smacked him on the shoulder, knowing under her coat she was only wearing his black tank top thanks to his horniness.
Christine said, "Really, McInFart? So, did you bring all fifteen of your shirts? All your fans name them." Drew groaned, "Gods, Phoen! I told ya not to utter that word." She shrugged, "Ok. I'll stop saying McInFart. McInFart." Drew looked at his father who was laughing, "See what I have ta put up with?" He pulled Christine into a loving hug, "That's my girl." She sighed, "Aw, Papa Andy." He lamented, "It's funny. We had two boys. Yer mom would say, there's a girl out there. I swear Angela was telepathic or something. She knew. She told me it was a Gemini girl. And here ya are, love."
She said, "I have something, well, Drew actually has something for you when we get to the house." Andy scoffed, "Ah, I tell ya no gifts." She said, "I promise you'll like this." Drew squeezed Cherry's hand and smiled, "There's a lot I have fer ya, Dad. So many amazing things tell ya." His hand reached behind him and cradled Cherry's belly. They loaded up the car, and left with Andy and Jester to go back to the home where Drew was born.
