Angels In Scotland: Part 2 - Marry Me

Andy Galloway's Home - Ayr, Scotland

After about twenty-five minutes, the two cars stopped at a smaller house on a quiet street in Ayr. Cherry sighed, squeezing Drew's hand, "Oh Drew! It's so beautiful here." Drew smiled, "Aye. It's home. Ya never forget yer home." His blue eyes took it all in. The sights, the sounds, all of the things he took for granted as a youngster.

Papa Andy got out of the first car, waiting for Jack to pull up the van with everyone else. He nodded, "Sorry my house isn't bigger, everyone. But we'll make it fit." Kevin said, "Ah, we have rooms at the hotel in town. No need to put yerself in a spot." Andy said, "Ah, yer a man who thinks. No wonder why yer running the show." Kevin puffed his chest up a bit and pulled Lady Christina to a hug.

Kevin smiled proudly "Sir, I'm honored you'd say that. May I introduce you to a wonderful lady. My lady. She is everything ta me ta me at least." Lady said, "I'm Lady Christina Rivera, sir. I'm not really a Lady. It sounds good when you plan parties." Papa Andy nodded, "You two. A perfect match! My wife, Jane, and son planned the get together fer tonight. Hopefully it's gonna make you happy."

As they all walked through the front door, Lady said, "I don't mind it. I'm sure it will be lovely. Besides, I'm gonna be busy for the next months." Kevin blushed a bit, "We're gonna have a child, sir." Andy waved his hand and smiled, "Ah, quit it with Sir. Call me Papa Andy. That's what Christine calls me. Congratulations! I can remember when my Angela told me she was expecting Drew…" Papa Andy's eyes went to a picture on his mantel. "Makes ya feel as if yer life is complete. I can't fer Drew ta experience this." They looked at each other and smiled, knowing the truth about Drew and Cherry but knowing it was not their place to tell him.

Drew walked in, causing his dad to stop talking. He looked around, "I see ya and Jane haven't changed the place at all." Andy said, "Yer old room is as ya left it too, Son." Cherry said, "Oh, that I have to see!" Drew smiled, but then said, "Dad, if ya don't mind, Christine wants ta give ya that gift." Papa Andy sat on the couch. "Ok. Let's have it. I don't need a gift. Ya being home and bringing yer sweet love was plenty fer me."

Christine quietly handed him a box. Andy slowly unwrapped it, lifting the lid to the box. It was then he gasped, "Wha? The crest? Angela's crest?" He allowed two tears to fall from his eyes. Now he looked up at Christine. She simply said, "I knew you'd like it." Andy was perplexed, "But...how...I mean..." Christine blinked her eyes, "Shush. Just part of the job. Think of it as I owed you, Papa." Andy asked, "Owed me? Fer what?"

She shrugged, "If you and your wife didn't have Drew, I'd never have met him. Which means I'd never have met Sheamus. I'd be lost or most likely dead. I've got a goal. A purpose. Cherry would've never found the love of her life. I've got family who I love and accepts me. Getting this crest back for you is the least I can do." Papa Andy pulled both Cherry and Christine into a hug and held them tightly, looking over at Drew and Sheamus, "Aw. Child, yer parents and my Angela brought us all together. I believe that." Cherry smiled through tears, "I do too."

Andy said, "Well, let's all get cleaned up and dressed. We've got a party tonight!" He smiled as he watched the three couples retreat to rooms to get ready. Jester and Andy laughed as they heard the scrambling of all six upstairs. Jester chuckled, "Gods it's like bloody Christmas." Andy shrugged, "Ah, I'm used to it. John and Andrew, those two. Then you. Then Sheamus...my boys." He smiled, still holding his late wife's crest. He looked over at their wedding picture and sighed, "It's back home with us, Angela. Our family's complete."

Upstairs, in Andy's room, Sheamus and Christine were laughing as they got dressed. He asked as she came out of the bathroom, "So what are ya wearing, lass?" Sheamus was breathless as she emerged. Christine was wearing a dark green strapless dress that stopped at her ankles. A slit up her right leg just revealing enough. Her long hair fell over her shoulders and in her face a bit.

She said, turning around for him, "Well, what do you think? I got these silver shoes. I mean all I wear are boots." Sheamus shook his head, his left hand holding onto the ring in his pocket. He wanted to ask her to marry him right there that moment. She walked to him, her hands on his chest, "Sheamy. What's going on? Would you like me to assist your undressing?" He smiled, "No. I just...I've never seen ya like this…all dressed up. Yer beautiful. Yer perfect. Now I gotta get ready. Gimme a bit, lass?"

Christine nodded and walked into the hallway, admiring all the pictures of Drew's family. She was so intently staring that she almost didn't feel him next to her. She jumped, "Jesus! Drew! You scred the shit out of me! Shouldn't you and Sis be, oh I dunno, undressing each other?" He lifted his eyebrows, "What makes ya think we haven't already?" She rolled her eyes, "I keep stepping into that trap…"

Drew snickered. "Aye, and just like ya probably helped Sheamo?" She laughed, "You know he don't need my help." Drew's face fell serious, "I dunno how ta say this. But thank ya." She blinked, "For what Drew?" He said, "Fer getting ma's crest. Ya didn't have ta do that. Ya could have gotten in trouble." She shrugged, "But I didn't. Besides, that idiot is gonna be wearing some scars. Adam Ridge will learn. it'll take time, but he'll learn."

Drew only nodded, hugging Christine tightly. Drew mumbled from her shoulder, "Ya made Dad very happy. Maybe yer right. In some other life, we were siblings. Or twins." Christine sighed, "There's always birth and rebirth, Drew. Since the beginning. The soul knows. The heart knows. And I guess I should thank you for being that sexy dorky Irishman's friend."

Drew laughed, "Aye. You two, yer both crazy. A spectacular couple. I never thought I'd see my best friend in love. We both found our salvation. And Kevin did too. That bugger. A dad. Wonder if he'll get wee little suits fer the baby." Christine said, "Hey! Just like your kid's gonna wear a kilt! Our family's growing. You and Cher…you're having babies, Drew." She sighed.

Drew's face beamed, "You and Sheamo are next, right?" Christine looked into Drew's eyes, "I don't know. I don't think I can give him a child. I got hurt bad in the fire. I'm alive, but there's a lot messed up inside." Drew wiped the single tear that ran down Christine's face. "I love him. I'd kill for him. But I can't make him a father. Ah, let's not think about that now. We gotta celebrate, right? Ok? No crying. Promise?"

She nodded, "Yeah, you have a lot to tell Papa Andy tonight." He kissed her forehead, "I love ya, Sis." She nodded as he walked away, "Love you more, Bro." Christine looked back to the bedroom door opening. Sheamus came out, dressed in a green shirt similar in color to Christine's dress, a black pair of pants, and a new pair of suspenders. She whispered, "Damn. My Irish daddy is hot."

Cherry sat on the bed in Drew's old bedroom. Christine poked her head in when she heard Cherry's laugh. Cherry said, "Girl! Look at this room!" Christine said, "Hey, what's wrong with a man who has Stone Cold bedsheets, toys, and games? My bro has great taste!" Cherry looked around, "No, this is great! Just imagine innocent boy Drew sitting in here doing his homework and looking like an angel sleeping in this bed."

Christine choked with laughter, "Drew? Innocent? Nah! But you know what I want to see." She gave an evil smile and Cherry rolled her eyes, "Chris! Really?" Christine pulled her up by the hand, "I got to know!" The two women looked in the closet. Christine smirked, "Hundred dollars says there's fifteen shirts in there." Cherry laughed, "Oh. Come on, girl."

Christine relented and smiled, "Ok. Ok. I will not only give you that hundred bucks. Buuut, maybe Auntie Phoenix will name those babies?" Christine placed her jeweled hands on Cherry's stomach. She considered, "Hmm...if there's a boy, definitely Andrew McLean Galloway V. If one of you is a girl...Christine Angela, the first."

Cherry opened the door, sighing, then laughing, "Oh stop. If both are boys or both are girls, we will need another name." She stopped for a moment and looked wide eyed, "Jesus! This is real. This is actually happening. I'm pregnant." Christine took her hand and squeezed it, "Yes you are, Sis. And it's a beautiful thing."

Cherry shook her head and smiled. She looked in the closet and started laughing. "What?" Christine said, getting up. When she looked in the closet, she gasped, "OMG! Holy McInFart! There are fifteen shirts! McInFart!", she hollered. Drew grumbled as he walked in, "Now stop calling me tha… What?" Christine said, "What's it with you and fifteen shirts? It's like a pattern."

Cherry brought out a pink striped shirt, "Hey look! This is hot." Christine laughed, "Yeah. Right! Some sexy Scotsman. Pink! I'm going to check on Kevin.", leaving Drew looking up and groaning. Cherry smiled as she walked to him and put her hands on him, "I think you look hot in anything, Drew. Too bad this probably doesn't fit you anymore. I mean, with those arms, those shoulders, that chest..."

He growled, "Yeah yeah. Ya keep that up and I'm gonna have ta take ya on my childhood bed right now! So, what are ya wearing?" She shrugged when a grin as she brought up a dress bag, "Oh. Nothing special." She unzipped it and took out a crimson red dress, that stopped just past her thighs, with chains holding together wide slits on the sides.

Drew's eyes popped wide and he reached for her, snaking one hand around her waist and the other on her belly. "Bloody hell! Cherry, yer gonna look hot as hell in that, Love. My sexy mamma. Ya expect me ta keep my hands ta myself with ya wearing that?" She stuck out her tongue and smiled, "Nope, not at all! So, what are you gonna wear, Drew?"

He shrugged "Ah, ya know. Gotta look presentable fer my family. Probably my favorite Rangers shirt. Or my shirt I wore when I bear Lesnar. Maybe my Guns n' Roses shirt." She rolled her eyes, "No. OMG Drew, you're such a dork." He smiled that cum inducing dimpled smiled, "Nah! I'm joking. Ya know me too well. I'm gonna get all spiffy. I even got a new pair of boots. Blame Christine. I saw hers." She said, "You two."

She grabbed her stuff and went into the bathroom to get ready as Drew stared after her. He laid back on his old bed and stared up at the ceiling. So many emotions swirled inside his soul at that moment. He was engaged to the love of his life. She was pregnant his babies. He was back in his beloved Scotland with the family he loved, both by blood and by love.

But as happy as he was to be home, there was a sadness welling up in his heart. He wanted more than anything for his mom to be here with him. He longed to hear her tell him how proud she was of him. He wanted to welcome him home and welcome Cherry into the family. He wanted to see her face when he told her he was engaged and was about to become father. But he would never get this. Cancer had robbed him of those precious moments. He wiped away a tear as he got up and exited his old bedroom to get ready for the dinner.

Sheamus and Christine went downstairs, Sheamus helping her because of the shoes she was wearing. She laughed as she came to the last stair, "I feel so freaking girly!" Andy had changed into more formal clothes and was sitting in the living room. Andy smiled, taking Christine's hand from Sheamus, "There's my girl. If ya don't mind, lad." Sheamus hugged Andy, stepping aside for Christine, "I don't." "Most beautiful gal in Scotland. But it's my opinion."

Papa Andy explained, embracing Christine, "The best opinion, lad. My Angela was my universe. My eternity. Told her that every day." He sighed, shaking his head. "But, I'm blessed I found another gal. I'm not alone. And I got my boys." Christine said, "Jane is a great lady, Papa. She helped me get this hair and makeup ready so I look like a girl."

Another voice joined them. "Hey, we're yer boys too!" Jack Jester had run home to change. And change he did! Gone were his skull shirt and black shorts. He looked killer in a black suit and matte black shirt. Of course, he was still wearing his unique jewelry and black fingernails. And of course, a scarf with skulls on it. Christine laughed, "Dang Jester! Are all Scottish guys hot?"

Jester nudged Andy, "We are, right Pa? Oh, and Irishmen too, Sheamo." He laughed, giving Sheamus a look. Sheamus sighed as he pulled Christine closer to him, "I swear, ya look more like the Muppet's brother then John does! Ya act more like the tosser too! But, us Celtic guys do clean up real good. Wonder what Kevin's doing up there?"

In the third bedroom, Lady Christina sat, legs crossed and looking down at her belly. She smiled as she said, "This is so exciting, little one! You're gonna have one heck of a crazy family. A crazy, loving family who's going to spoil you and your two little besties rotten. If Daddy doesn't spoil you first." She looked up to see Kevin come out of the bathroom, only in a towel. He had an impish look on his sweet, adorable face, "Lass? Thought you'd be in the shower with me."

She gave him a look, "Kevin! No! Not at Andy's house! Wait until we get back to the hotel, you bad boy!" He shrugged, "Ah, yer right. Yer so beautiful holding my baby. Our baby." He embraced lady Christina, taking her on his arms. She whispered, "Kevin. You're so adorable. And handsome. And strong. And sexy. And...and..." He put his pointer finger to her lips and hushed her with a kiss.

He took hand and said, "Lady Christina, I have ta be serious fer a moment." He eyes grew, worried about what he was going to say, as she swallowed, "OK, what's going on?" Kevin said, looking into Lady Christina's eyes and getting down on his knee, "Marry me, my sweet Lady." She gasped, "Kevin! What?"

He looked at her with love, "Marry me. I don't have a ring yet. I'll get ya one. It's only right I should marry ya. Yer having my child. Ya had me smitten the first time ya walked into HQ. I love ya! Please marry me." Lady had to wipe tears away to not ruin her makeup. She smiled and cried, "Oh, Kevin! Yes! Yes! I love you!" They kissed passionately as Kevin slid his hand down her satin covered stomach. He smiled, "Can't believe yer pregnant." She laughed, "Really? As often as we've been doing it?" He nodded and smiled, "Good point."

Back in Drew's old bedroom, Cherry stepped into her red sexy dress, admiring how it looked on her, "Damn! Too bad this won't be fitting me too much longer. Well, not too bad. Hello there, my little ones. I love you!", caressing her lower belly. She thought she heard Christine come in the room behind her as she looked down and said, "Sis! Can you help me with this dress?"

She sighed and bit her lip when she felt a familiar pair of warm, strong hands on her back. That smooth, sexy Scottish voice said, "Permit me ta help ya, my Love?" She nodded as Drew zipped the dress up, then slid his hands to her belly. He hummed his approval, "Gods, ya looks so beautiful." She giggled, "Oh, hush. What are you wearing? Oh my, Drew.", immediately turned on at the site she turned around to.

Drew smiled, "Ah, it's nothing." He was dressed in a pair of black pants that fit him in all the right spots, hugging his waist and clinging to his thick, muscular thighs. A dark blue button down shirt was still opened, showing his massive, hairy chest. She kissed him tenderly and said, "You are so damn handsome, Baby. It should be criminal." He shrugged, "Ah, I thought ya might approve. It's better than my rangers shirt. Ya know how I struggle with shirts."

Cherry rolled her eyes and laughed, "You struggle with clothing in general, Drew. Thank god! You look amazing in clothes, but even damn better when you're naked on top of me." He raised his eyebrow, "Ya keep talking like that and yer gonna get yer wish, Love." She winked and said, "You promise?" He nodded and said, "Come on before I take ya right here and now. All the ghe gang is downstairs." Drew took her hand, kissed her knuckles and walked downstairs to join the group.

Sheamus laughed as Drew and herry descended the staircase, "About time, ya wanker!" Christine high fived Drew, "You look adorable, bro! And Sis! Holy shit! I don't know how Drew will be able to keep his hands off you tonight!" Drew popped Cherry on the ass and quipped, "I won't. Cherry smacked him on the shoulder and said, "I was aware of the risk when I put the dress on." Jester laughed, "Aye, this tosser! Mr. Fancy Pants. Mr. I gotta team of ladies ta protect me. Maybe I should get some Jester's Angels. Wait, that sounds odd." Everyone laughed. Drew smirked, looking around at his family, "Yeah yeah. It's good work if ya can get it, mate."

He looked around at his Ayr family sitting in the living room. Then he turned to Cherry, taking her hands and whispering to her, "Do we tell em now, or at the party?" She said, squeezing his hand, "I can't wait any longer. Let's tell your dad now. Then we can announce it to everyone else." Andy passed by and asked, "Tell me what, you beautiful young lady? Ya know, I've not properly thanked ya, all three of ya, for keeping my boy, my son safe."

He looked at the three angels and their respective men and kissed Cherry on the cheek. Christine said, "Ah, it's our job, Papa. Might I say we do a damn fine job." Lady Christina said, "I agree!" Kevin agreed, "Me too! I put together quite the amazing team if I have ta say so myself." Sheamus shook his head, hugging Drew, "Yeah, ya lovely ladies do keep this Muppet out of trouble. Love ya, brother." Drew laughed, "Oh, stop it with this."

Drew and Cherry pulled Andy to the side. Drew said, "Dad, Cherry and I, we got something important ta tell ya." Andy's interest was piqued, "Oh?" Drew took Cherry's hand in his, showing him the ring he gave her, "I asked my Love ta marry me, and she accepted." Andy's hand went to his heart, "Yer ma's ring! Oh Andrew, my son! I knew ya wanted it fer this incredible young lady." Drew looked at her and said, "She's the woman worthy of it now that Mom's gone." The farce of the rest of their company not listening to every word faded as everyone "awwed" when Drew made that statement.

Cherry stepped forward towards her future father-in-law and started, "Uh... Mr. Galloway, sir…" But Andy held his hand up, "I already told ya, child. None of that Mr. Galloway nonsense. You will call me Papa. Or Da. Or Dad. Ya got yer choice. But not Mr. Galloway. That was my dad, love. Welcome ta tha Galloway family." He held out his hands to Cherry, who walked into the best hug she ever had. She sniffled, trying and failing to fight her tears, "Thanks, Papa."

Drew was overcome with emotion after hearing his father welcome his Love into their family. He got down on one knee. It was time to reveal his surprise. He looked up at her wondering eyes and said, "Marry me, Love." She chuckled, "We're already engaged, Drew. I already told you I'd marry you." He said, "no. Marry me now. Marry me right here in Ayr, my Love. I don't wanna wait one more minute."

She gasped, "Drew! We have to have time to plan a wedding! I'm sure we have to fill out some sort of license." He stood and smirked at her. He took out a paper and showed her a confirmation for a marriage license, "I filled out the paperwork last month. When we weren't able to get married in Nashville, I knew I wanted ta get ya here fer our wedding. The crest was a happy accident. I didn't even tell any of the Angels or Sheamus about this. I wanna marry ya right here in my homeland."

Christine cried, her tears flowing holding Lady's had, who was always sobbing with happiness, "Bro, you are such a romantic devil." Sheamus smiled and shook his head, "Ya bloody wanker!" Drew's eyes never left hers. He cupped her face and put his forehead to hers, "I want ya as my wife as soon as possible. I love ya more than I could ever tell ya. I need ya, my Love. Marry me." Cherry' tears flowed in earnest as she covered her mouth in shock. She managed to breathe out, "Yes! You crazy, sweet man! I'll marry you!"

Drew pulled her into a deep, loving, passionate kiss that had their audience cheering. Andy, so proud of his son, had a joyous look on his face, "Well, I guess the dinner will be a welcome home and engagement dinner! "So. Let's have us a wedding right here in Ayr! We can do it. Yer aunties can cook. We know a cake maker in town. Got that beautiful park by the water. Jane can take the ladies ta tha bridal shop fer dresses. We can get out our dress kilts fer this." Papa Andy's eyes glimmered as he talked through the plans needing to be made.

Drew came out of the kiss, winked at Cherry, and said, "Uh, Dad. There's something else we gotta tell ya." Cherry said, "Yeah, Papa. There's more." Andy was still talking about wedding plans when they both said it at the same time, "We're pregnant!" Andy kept talking, "And your ma's friend can get flowers… Wait. Huh? Yer pregnant? As in yer having a baby?"

Drew smiled, "Aye! I'm gonna be a Dad!" Andy said, "As in I'm having another grandchild?" Cherry said, "No. Grandchildren. I'm having twins, Papa!" Andy beamed and he said, "My son!" Andy and Drew embraced in a warm hug. Andy put his arm out, "Come here, love.", as he pulled Cherry in just as tight. Andy looked between the two of them and said, "What a homecoming this has become!"

Sheamus sighed and smiled, "Can't say I don't love this. My brother is so happy. Lass?" He looked and saw Christine was no longer standing beside him and wondered again where she had gone. Jester nodded towards the front door, "She went outside, mate. Said she needed some air." Sheamus nodded and walked outside.

He found her standing by the front stairs with her head on the pillar. He approached her and asked, "Hey, Lass. Ya ok?" She looked sad, "Yeah. Actually, no. I'm not fine, Sheamy." He asked, "What's up, Lass? Ya should be happy. Drew and Cherry are finally getting married and having two wee ones fer us ta spoil!" She shook her head, "I am happy. I'm estatic for them. They deserve all the happiness in the world. But there's something I never told you. The only thing I never told you."

Sheamus looked concerned, "Never told me about what? Talk ta me." She started to cry, "The fire...I know you read the medical report." He nodded, "I know ya almost didn't survive. If yer ex isn't dead, I'll finish the job with my bare hands. And maybe I'll take another shot at fucking Taryn too." Christine turned to him, her bottom lip quivering, "Shea-Stephen." She only called him by his real name when it was serious.

He tilted her chin up and said, Hey, I'm here. I'm listening. Tell me." She said, "Stephen. I...it's so cool that Kevin and Lady are having a baby. Drew and Cherry are having the twins. I'm so happy for them." He held her to him, kissing her cheek, "Let me guess. Ya got the baby fever? Ya want yer Irish daddy ta put an order in, Lass?"

She looked up at him, her eyes full of tears, "I can't give you a child, Stephen. My insides... My uterus is ok, but my other parts are fucked up. My ovaries ruptured after debris fell on me when I crawled out to escape. When Cherry found me, I was half dead. She gave her blood for a transfusion. She was literally my blood sister after that." Christine couldn't hold her emotions back anymore. She started to cry hard.

He rubbed her cheek, "She saved ya. I know. She told me the entire story. How she nursed ya back ta health. How she helped ya regain yer confidence. And I know about yer condition, Lass." She blinked away tears and said, "You...knew?" He held her to his chest and said, "Yeah. I read up on ya two days after ya walked into HQ. I told myself I'd fight ta have ya in my arms. I'd die fer a kiss from ya. I don't care. Nothing else matters."

Christine sighed, "Like the song?" He nodded, "Yeah. Like the song. Every time I hear it, I think about us. "I love ya, Christine. Love the woman ya are. The woman who changed my life." Again, Sheamus almost fell to his knees and wanted to ask her to marry him. But he decided to wait. This night was about Drew and Cherry.

Christine wiped her eyes and said, "Let me go inside to freshen up. I love you, Stephen Farrelly." She kissed him and went inside. Sheamus took out the ring and looked at it. It was a platinum band with three pink rare diamonds. Even though Christine wasn't girly, he knew she'd love it. He sighed and shut his eyes, "I'll ask ya, Lass. Soon. The Snake and the Phoenix are one union no one can break." Soon after, the group left for the Waterfront Restaurant where Jane, John, his wife and son were waiting to welcome Drew home. None of them realiazed the danger they were in for on this happy occasion.
