Hello, my loves! Have you missed me? Sorry to be so erratic with posting new chapters but life has been crazy with both dance and attending wrestling shows and...well...life in general! But I have a new section of the Scotland trip for you! This one may make you sad, but I promise good will come out of this! As always, love to my girls wwechistina, Tm12Brady (who is going to SummerSlam with me this week) and GoldenGirl1920 for your support! Love y'all!
OK here we go! Take a deep breath and maybe get a tissue ready! Speaking of Tm12Brady, she wrote the Randy & Denise sections of this chapter; I only did a little editing to them. But this one is a doozy! Enjoy!
Angels In Scotland: Part 6 - The Graveyard
Waterfront Restaurant - Ayr, Scotland
It was suddenly quiet and most of the dinner party departed the premises as Drew and Randy stood there, neither man moving and both had that look. Randy, trying to be the better man, spoke first, "Drew, I know how this looks…" Drew cut in bitterly, "Ya don't know a bloody thing, Orton! How dare ya come here ta my home after the shit ya put me through? I strongly suggest ya leave or face the consequences!" Cherry grabbed Drew's hand, hoping in vain to calm him down.
Randy threw up his hands, "Drew, what consequences? I came here, Denise came here, the two of us, to warn you. To warn the Angels." Drew's posture straightened as he started getting angrier with every word, "Warn us about what? Randal? Are ya gonna attempt ta kidnap me or that yer a…" Randy, losing his patience broke in, "Look, goddamn it! Taryn Terrell and her two dumb fuck stooges are here in Scotland."
Sheamus shouted, "What are ya on about, Orton? How would ya know anything about this or where we even were?" Randy tried to cool down and sighed as he explained, "At the arena last night, I heard Nutsack Corbin and MidCap talking on speaker phone to that skank. They somehow overheard you guys talking about coming here. They're trying to stop you from getting married. I'm thinking they are here already. Please, just let us help you guys."
Drew fumed, looking at Denise, "Oh, so now I should trust a snake like ya? After everything ya've done ta me? Trust the both of ya? When he trapped me and God only knows yer motives in this!" Randy stepped forward, "Wait a damn minute!" Cherry grabbed Drew's arm and tried to reason with him, "Drew, stop talking to Denise like that. I trust her as much as I trust Lady or Christine. You accepted Randy's apology. Just listen to what they have to say."
Drew flung Cherry's hand from him and bellowed, "Seriously? Ya of all people taking his fucking side? I thought ya loved me!" Cherry tried to reach for him, "Drew, I'm always on your side and I love you more than anyone in the world! But we need to listen…" But Drew's Scottish temper reared its ugly head, "I don't have ta do a goddamn thing! Fuck ya! Fuck all of ya! I've had about enough of all of this shit! I'm done!" He stormed out of the room, leaving everyone in shock. Cherry ran after him in vain, crying, "Drew, no! Please come back! You can't just leave me here! Don't go!" Lady ran to her side, "Come, sweetie. Let him cool off."
Jack Jester was on his way back into the party room to offer Christine a new drink he thought up. In the few hours they met, Jester was head over heels meeting a new friend. The two of them were laughing over their shared love of cheesy 80's stuff, boots, bad tastes in music, bandanas, and the fact they had odd colors on their fingernails. Drew walked by Jester in a huff. Jack asked jokingly, not knowing what had just gone down, "Mate! Where's tha fire?" Drew growled at his friend, "Oh bugger off, Jester!", slamming the door shut and going to Andy's car.
Christine went to Cherry, who was being comforted by Lady, Kevin and Sheamus. She could see her best friend's heart breaking. She had to set things right. She said, "Cher, I'll go after him and try to talk him down." Cherry's own anger started to flare up, "Oh yeah! I forgot! You're Gemini twins and all that bullshit! Because he'll damn sure listen to you before the woman he claims to love and want to marry!" Christine sighed heavily, "Cher, that not what I meant. I know you're upset."
Cherry growled back, "Upset! Yeah, that's it! You two have that connection that I will never understand and it's obviously stronger than the one he has with me! Maybe you two should be the ones getting married and having these twins!" Christine shook her head, "No, it's not stronger! It's just different. You are the love of Drew's life, not me! Look, I'm going to find him and bring him back to listen to what Randy and Denise have to say. Just hang on." As Christine walked away, Cherry sobbed into hands, "It doesn't matter anymore! Everything is ruined! He can keep running as far as I'm concerned!"
Sheamus, rubbing her back, said, "Lass, ya don't mean that. Ya two belong tagather. He'll be back." She shook her head, "I don't care anymore, Sheamus! He just proved that doesn't value me as his partner or anything I have to say. I'm pregnant by him! What am I going to do?" Lady and Sheamus looked at each other as Cherry put her hands in her hands, shaking their heads at a loss how to help their friends.
Jack caught Christine by the arm as she was leaving, "Bloody hell, what's he on about? And why is Randy Orton here?" Christine looked around the lobby, "Jester, have you seen Drew? I have to get him to come back and listen. This is bad! Cherry is so upset." Jester said, "Doll, Drew left in a tizzy. We gotta get him. I think I know where he went to. Come on." Jester grabbed her hand, and they ran to Jester's truck. She sighed, looking down at her rings, "Jester, I'm scared. I've never seen either on them in that state before." Jester looked at her, "No worries, love. I know where he's at. He's with the only person who understands him right now." Christine sighed, "His Mom."
Denise approached Cherry. She had never seen her close friend so despondent or sad. She said, "Cher, I don't know what to say. I'm so sorry this happened! The last thing in the world either of us wanted to happen was to cause trouble for you and Drew." Cherry shook her head, "Maybe I should've known all along that I was living in some goddamn fairytale. One that's over now!" Denise took her hand, "No! You don't mean that! You and Drew have a true and deep love. Don't let this come between you two. He didn't mean what he said." Cherry starting to cry harder and put her head on Sheamus' shoulder.
Kevin and Lady went to Randy. Lady spoke calmly, knowing that cooler heads needed to prevail, "OK Orton. We're listening to you. What exactly happened at the show last night?" Randy took a deep breath, "I was at the arena yesterday and I overheard Corbin and Madcap talking to that vile parasite on the phone. I guess they overheard Farrelly and Galloway talking at the gym that day or something and relayed it to that cock sucking cunt. They apparently heard them talked to Drew's dad about him bringing Cherry and you guys here, not only to celebrate your engagement and see your family, but also to give Drew's father back their family crest. I don't know how or where the fuck they found it, but whoever she's working with is furious that it was taken from right under his nose. At least, that's what I heard these miscreants talking about." Kevin nodded, "Well, that would explain the paparazzi sabotage earlier."
As Randy explained all of this and brought up Drew's family crest, something told Sheamus to pull back up the memorabilia website that piece of trash Rumsfeld owned and scrolled through all of them items up for auction. His eyes widen when he comes across the WWE Championship title belt that Randy thought he had lost all those years ago. It all makes sense now…why Taryn used Randy for more than just to get what she wanted and an easy lay. Why Phil was funding everything to make all of this bullshit happen. She stole the title from Randy when he was at his most vulnerable and then used him as a pawn to get Drew back in favor of getting his WWE title back.
"Uhh, mate I found something I think you might want to see," Sheamus says to Randy, his tone serious, catching the attention of everyone, but Denise is first to acknowledge that she's heard him. "What's up, Sheamus? What did you find?" Denise asked, leaving Cherry's side to see what had Sheamus' tone becoming urgent as quickly as it did. Sidling up next to him, Denise looked at what Sheamus had pulled up and she gasped when she saw the title belt on the screen.
"Oh my god, Randy!" Denise began, but she somehow found it difficult to get the words out. All she could do is look up at him with wide, surprised and worried eyes. "What is it, baby?" Randy asked, becoming alarmed by Denise's reaction to whatever it is she just saw on Sheamus' phone. He rushed over to her and looked down at the phone's screen, only to begin shaking in anger. "THAT FUCKING BITCH! She had my title…MY TITLE this whole fucking time! I was in deep shit when Vince, Hunter and Steph thought I lost it! Oh, I'm gonna murder the bitch. She made my life a living hell for the past 10+ years!" Randy blew up, startling everyone around him.
"Randy! Hey, babe…calm down. Calm down. You're not the only one she's fucked over. She's impacted every single one of us in some way, shape or form and she's not going to get away with it. Just please…don't lash out; you're bigger than that now. You're better than her! Don't let that bitch get to you. You've come so far…come on Randy, look at me, baby," Denise pled of him, reaching up to grasp his face in her tiny hands, forcing him to look down at her.
"That's it, baby. Just listen to my voice; come back to me," Denise cooed at Randy, coaxing him back into the now as she stroked her thumbs against his cheeks in a calming manner that she knew worked on him. When he eventually calmed down enough, Randy gently grasped Denise's waist and pulled her in close, resting his forehead against her own before pressing a soft kiss to her lips. "Thank you, baby…I'm so sorry," he said quietly, catching everyone around him and Denise off guard, not expecting to see this side of Randy Orton, well…ever.
Forgetting that everyone else was around them, Randy looks up and over at Cherry, Sheamus, Lady Christina and Kevin who are looking at him in complete and total bafflement. They've never seen Randy Orton be able to calm himself down the way he just did. They've never seen him have a caring bone in his body, let alone hear him apologize for or about anything. "What? Why are you guys looking at me like I've just grown a second head?" Randy asked, standing up straight, but never let go of his hold on Denise. Instead, he puled her into his arms and pressed a kiss to her forehead.
Cherry stood up and closed the distance between herself and Denise and Randy, looking up at him, "It's just…we've never seen you this way before. Calm. Apologetic and compassionate. I mean, we know Denise is different since she's your other half, but to see you from going ballistic to calm and collected in such a short period of time. In the short time you've been in our presence, we've seen how much of a positive influence Denise has had on you," she said and Randy raised an eyebrow at her and her babbling.
Sheamus sees the look on Randy's face and decides to interfere, "…what she means to say is, it's nice to see that you're not a cold-hearted careless jackarse anymore. It's nice to see that you've changed, mate. I can see it and I know everyone else can, too," he says and Randy huffs out a laugh. "Yeah, maybe all of you, but that doesn't mean Drew will see it. He's the one who I've hurt the most and I just want to make things right. Please, just let me explain and justify my actions. I may have done some terrible things to Drew, I know I was wrong, but I'm not the bad guy. I never was. I was used, lied to and manipulated in more ways than one. She's said so many bad things about Drew…I just need to make this right,", Randy pleads.
"What things did she say about Drew?" Cherry asked Randy suddenly and Randy shook his head sadly. "Cherry, I don't want to upset you any more than you already are. I've already done enough bad things. I don't want to be the cause of anymore rifts…I can't," Randy sighed painfully. Denise grabbed Randy's forearm, pulling him towards her and rubbed her hands up and down his upper arms in a comforting gesture. "I'm so proud of you, baby. We'll make this work; I know it's going to be tough, but we'll do everything we can to get Drew to trust us…okay?" She says to him softly. Randy nods his head and leans down to press a kiss to Denise's lips. "I love you," Randy breathed against Denise's lips and she smiled, replying, "I love you, too, baby. So much," she breathed back, pressing another kiss to his lips.
Sheamus was about to say something when his phone went off with "God Save The Queen". He rolled his eyes, "Fer fuck's sake! My phone final decides ta work and it has ta be Stu!" He answered the call on speakerphone, "Wanker, what is it? It's not a good time." Stu shouts into the receiver, "I landed in Glasgow and I'm on my way to the restaurant. I've been trying to get a hold of Drew. It's urgent!" Sheamus sighed, "He's not here, mate. Something bad went down." Stu cursed, "Fuck! Don't tell me I'm too late!"
Sheamus looked at Cherry as he asked, "What are ya on about, Stu?" Stu said, "Look, you won't believe who was on my flight! That fucking slut, Taryn!" Sheamus' eyes grew, "What? So, it really is true?" Cherry went to Sheamus' side, "Stu, it's Cherry. Did you hear or see anything?" Stu softened when he heard her voice, "Hey Cherry. Yes, unfortunately. I heard and seen enough to make me wanna vomit! She sat in the seat behind me and kept talking to herself about how she and Drew belong together. The whole time she was sitting with some burnout asshole."
Sheamus' skin started to crawl, "Can ya describe him?" Stu said, "Eh, blonde and ragged looking. I think I heard her call him Adam." Cherry gasped and looked at Lady, "Jesus! Adam Ridge! Christine's ex-husband!" Lady screamed, "That fucker!" Sheamus has a murderous look in his eyes, "Is that all, mate." Stu huffed, "I wish! I followed her up to first class and guess who she was fussing at? Corbin and Moss! Apparently, they're in cahoots together." Kevin groaned, "Yes, we know."
Stu continued, "She was lighting into them about making sure they get the job done, whatever that meant. Then out walked some asshole from one of the secret compartments. He screamed at her about hurting some girl named Leslie. I have no clue what they were talking about. But then he had Taryn come in and…well…do what she does best. If you can call it that."
Cherry heard nothing but roaring in her ears after "Leslie". Her breathing started picking up as she managed to breath out, "Stu, did you catch his name?" Stu thought, "I think I heard it after I got off the plane trying to get to you as fast as I could. I think…Phil. Yeah, they said Phil." Cherry's brain went into a tailspin. She suddenly had the sensation of choking. Her chest started heaving and panic was starting to set in. He was here in Scotland. The monster she had been running from for five years.
As she stumbled back on the brink of fainting, Sheamus caught her, "Oh lass, no! I got ya! Stu, keep trying ta get a hold of Drew! Christine and Jester are looking fer him, but Cherry needs him back here now! This is bad news!" Stu agreed, "I'm on my way to the restaurant but I'll keep trying to reach him." As they hung up, Sheamus let Lady and Denise try to talk Cherry out of her panic attack. He walked over to Randy and said, "OK, Orton. If yer really here ta help, we could use it now. I have a feeling those assholes are on their way here." Randy nodded, "I meant what I said. I want to make this up to Drew and help Cherry. And I definitely want a piece of that conniving, thieving trash bag slut!"
Jester's Awesome Truck
Jester and Christine drove through the streets of Ayr. Jester only sighed occasionally, knowing that the usually jovial Scotsman wasn't in the mood for jokes. He saw that faraway look in Drew's eyes before. Only it was 2013. Near time for the holidays. A time for celebrating and being with family. Christine broke the silence in the car, "I get it, Jester. I totally get it." He asked, "Get what, Love?" She recollected, "The anger and pain Drew is feeling. I lost my parents in November. The fire that destroyed my past was in November."
"Aye. Ma Angela passed in November." Jester's hands tightened on the steering wheel. "It was horrible. I never saw my best mate so lost. He loved her so much. We all did." Jester bit his lip and sniffled, "They bloody took me in, his parents! I was a goofy 15-year-old, and Andy and Angela fed me and loved me like I was their own." Jester stopped at a light as wiped his eyes. Christine grabbed Jester's hand, "Jester, I'm so sorry. For you and Drew. Let's find our brother and give him the kick in the ass he needs."
The Cemetery
Drew got out of the car as the wind blew cold and the atmosphere was getting misty. He walked up the hill stopping at the spot he hadn't seen in years. He let a groan out, trying to contain the hurt but to no avail. He touched the cold gray stone, tracing his mother's name with his fingers. He moaned, "Why, Mom?" Why aren't ya here? Yer the only one who got it. Who understood me. I need you here with me."
He ran a hand over his face as tears started to stream down his handsome, bearded face, "I'm getting married, Mom. After I swore it all off. Ya told me ya had a dream I'd find the right one in America. And I did. Her name is Cherry and she is incredible. She is beautiful, strong and fierce. Ya would love her. We're supposed ta get married here. And she's having my twins. You should be here ta be Gran ta them!"
Drew tried to swallow the lump in his throat, "I'm lost, Mom. I'm lost and I don't bloody know what ta do. I may have fucked things up ferever with her. I need ya ta tell me what ta do ta make this right. I feel like I'm losing control of myself again. I can't lose her, Mom! Please give me a sign on what ta do or say!" Now he felt a presence. He quickly turned to see the black truck with the skull and crossbones on the hood drive up and park next to him.
Jester and Christine drove through the old cemetery and parked alongside Andy's car when they spotted it. Christine thought it was a beautiful sadness to walk around a graveyard. After her parents were murdered, and she almost died, she spent many times at the cemetery in Ohio before she left it all behind. Now her eyes closed, lyrics let her lips quietly: "I went walking through the graveyard/Where the darkness is my friend/I heard all about the beginning/I wanna see just where it ends..."
She opened her eyes to see Jester smiling at her, "Doll, whatever that was, it was beautiful." She shrugged, "It's just a Bee Gees song, Jester. But it means a lot to me." They saw Drew standing at the top of the hill. Jester sighed, "Exactly where I thought it would be. C;mon." Jester and Christine slowly walked over to where Drew was, he looked over at them approaching him.
Drew said, groaning, "Whoever sent ya, not concerned and I don't care." Jester said, "No one sent us, mate. And aye, ya do care. That's why we all love ya. We're concerned. Ya got a whole bunch a people who love ya back there in town. Ya got yerself a good woman who loves ya deeper than ya've ever known and ya love her just as hard. Ya got friends that care about ya. Some newer, and those of us that loved ya even when ya tried ta self-destruct."
Christine added, "You're gonna be a father, Drew. The love of your life is having your babies! You need to come back and listen. All of us, including her, could be in real danger." It was then Drew turned to them, hurt on his face, "So I just ignore the fact that snake is here, shows up ta our party, when I can't trust him?" Christine said, "I don't think he's lying, Drew. Why would he risk coming all the way here knowing how you feel about him and your history? If Taryn and the Moron Twins are here, that could mean mine and Cherry's exes could be involved. Please, Drew. We've all been hurt…"
Drew fumed, "Hurt?! Hurt? Hurt is loving someone, thinking that their yer rock and it slipped through yer fingers. Hurt is watching someone ya love..." He glared at the marble headstone, "The one person ya that understood me dying and yer powerless ta help her or stop it!" His voice grew as he got angier. Christine only let him talk.
She finally heard enough, "Drew, stop. How can you say I don't know hurt? Were you tied up as the two of them destroyed your life and everything you had? No. Were you barely strong enough to crawl, to climb, to scratch and claw out of that inferno only hearing a voice? Seeing a vision through the hell and smoke? No." Now Christine's hands shook, "And Cherry. You don't think having your innocence ripped from you by a predator like Phil Rumsfeld hurt?" Jester groaned, "Love, don't waste yer breath. He's feeling sorry for himself." He narrowed his eyes at Drew.
Drew growled, "Bugger off, Jester." Jack got up in Drew's face, "Ya know, I'm getting tired of ya telling me that! Maybe ya do need yer arse beaten ta knock some sense inta ya! I love ya enough ta whip yer ass, mate!" Drew pushed him in the chest, "Let's fucking go then, Jester!" Christine wept, "Stop it! Both of you! Jester is right! Stop feeling sorry for yourself! You know and understand your mom was sick. I gotta live with the fact I should have died with my parents in that shooting. I should have died in the fire. But I didn't, and I don't know why. Maybe I have a higher calling. A purpose. I love you and Kevin like brothers. The Angels…they're my blood. I'd kill and main for them. Cherry literally gave her blood to save me! And now, you guys are having kids. Two babies I'll protect with my own life!"
Drew looked at his two friends with sadness in his eyes, "I honestly don't know what ta do. What ta think. This whole thing is crazy. And Cherry…the way I talked ta her. I wouldn't blame her if she never wanted ta see me again." Christine said, "Which is why you should trust Randy and Denise. Let's go back and hear them out and then, we can reunite you two. I'm sure she would listen to your apology. She loves you." Jester said, "Randy has nothing ta gain by lying ta ya, mate. Now let's go back ta the party. Yer woman needs ya."
Drew still looked hesitant when his phone went off, "My phone finally starts working and it's bloody Wade!" He answered it, "This better be important, wanker!" Stu shouted into the receiver, "About fucking time you picked up! No time for pleasantries so just listen! I already talked to Sheamus. I'm in Glasgow. I was going to surprise you at the dinner. But your fucking whore ex was on my flight with Corbin and Moss talking about ruining your wedding! And there with two fuckers. One burnout named Adam."
Drew looked over at Christine, whose eyes grew like saucers. Drew demanded, "Are ya sure?" Stu said, "We may have ribbed each other at lot in the past, but I'd never joke about this. Plus, she gave a hummer to some disgusting pig named Phil, who kept going on about beating some girl named Leslie. Not sure what that's got to do with you…" Drew's heart dropped to his chest. Cherry and his children were in grave danger. He started running to his car, with Christine and Jester in tow. He interrupted, "Mate, just meet us at the restaurant! We're gonna need all tha help we can get. I'll fucking kill them if they go near her!"
