Angels In Scotland: Part 21 - The Wedding of Drew and Cherry

Part 3

TMZ Sports reported: Ladies, sorry but he's officially off the market! WWE Superstar Drew McIntyre has married his girlfriend Cherry Collins in a beautiful ceremony at the Piersland Hotel in Ayr, Scotland! Many WWE Superstars were on hand to witness the happy occasion, including Sheamus who acted as best man. There are also rumors that the couple may be expecting, but these have not been substantiated. Congratulations to the happy and ridiculously good looking couple!

The wedding party took pictures around the grounds of the Piersland Hotel. The group pictures and videos included the Scottish tradition of the Scottish Quaich, which is also known as "loving cup". This tradition involves a silver bowl with two handles and it's given to the bride. When the legal proceedings are over, the bride passes the bowl around the entire wedding party for everyone to sip a drink from the cup. Drew insisted that Irn-Bru was the beverage in the quaich.

In another picture, Drew gave Cherry a beautiful piece of jewelry. She gasped, "Oh Drew! This is so beautiful!" He smiled, "It's a Scottish tradition called the Luckenbooth. These two entwined hearts are made of silver. This broach has strong associations with Mary Queen of Scots, who according to one legend gave a brooch to her second husband Henry Lord Darnley." Cherry's eyes widened, "As in Bloody Mary?" He nodded "The fact ya know yer history makes ya even sexier ta me."

They also took part in another tradition for pictures. Pinning the tartan is done after the entire ceremony is done and the bride and groom are officially husband and wife. This tradition is a symbol of accepting each other into the families. A crest is placed on the tartan of the spouse. This gesture symbolizes acceptance. Andy kissed Cherry on tha cheek and said, "Welcome ta tha family, my lovely lass!" Drew looked on proudly as Cherry fought back tears at this gesture.

They took many group photos and pictures with Drew's family, Krystal and Kevin. But the ones taken with only Drew and Cherry were stunning. Everyone remarked about how beautiful they looked, especially when Drew would cradle her belly. The Angels watched as their sister's happiness radiated from her smile. Denise remarked, "Look at them. They are so in love. I can't believe my girl is finally settled down!" Randy cut his eyes to her and smirked. He thought to himself, "You just wait until later tonight, baby girl!" Krystal sniffed, "No one has earned that happily ever after more than her!"

After her solo photo shoot had concluded, Cherry retreated back to her dressing area. The rest of Angels were taking individual pictures around the scenic grounds. She was alone in her room waiting for the girls to come back and help her out of her dress. Her phone started buzzing and she sighed when she saw the caller ID. It was Mark Wystrach, the lead singer of Midland. She had not seen him or the band since she and Drew left the concert on their first date over a year prior. Mark always had a thing for her but even though she found him very attractive, Drew was always the one that held her heart.

Cherry pushed the green Answer button, "Hey there! Long time, no speak." Mark exhaled, "Hey there, Cherry baby. It's been too long. Over a year to be exact." She smiled, "Well, I've been quite busy." He responded, "Yeah, I can see that. Got married in Scotland, huh? It's all over the tabloids." She groaned, "Yes. I'm getting ready for the reception now."

He said, "I'm happy for you, Cher. Drew is one hell of a lucky guy. He has himself one amazing gal for a wife." She said, "Thank you, Mark. I really appreciate that." Mark said, "Every word I said is true. Actually, I found myself a girl and…we're getting married soon." Cherry gasped, "Oh! That's wonderful, Mark! Congratulations. You deserve happiness." Mark remarked, "It just couldn't be with you, right?"

She shook her head, "No, my destiny and heart always belonged to someone else. And so does yours." He conceded, "You're right. Just don't you guys be strangers at our concerts. You're still our number one and best looking fan." She laughed, "Will do." He paused for a moment and said, "Adios, cowgirl." She grinned, "Adios, cowboy." With that they hung up and Cherry sat her phone down on the dressing table.

Moments later, Cherry heard rustling behind her and said, "Hey Sis. Finally! Can you help me out of this…" She didn't get to finish the sentence as she felt those strong, warm hands caress her back, sides and slip around to enfold her in his arms. That smooth, sexy Scottish voice whispered, "Permission ta unzip ya this time, my Love. My wife." She bit her bottom lip and nodded. Drew unzipped the form fitting red gown and hugged her close, "Fuck, yer sa beautiful! I love ya sa much!"

She turned towards him wrapped her arms around his neck and their lips and tongues met in a heated, passionate kiss. Drew's mouth drifted to her cheek, then down her neck, feathering kisses and licks down all the way down to her collarbone. Cherry moaned, loving the feel of his lips and beard on her skin. But she warned, "You know the girls will kick you out the moment they get back." He pursed his lips together and said, "Yer right. I guess I better work a little faster, Love."

He smirked as he started to pull her dress down off her shoulders. Cherry giggled as she put up very little protest, "Drew! We have a honeymoon suite waiting…oh goddamn!" Her bodice was pushed down her waist and Drew's lips were suckling hard on her right nipple. He backed her against the wall, ready to take her right there before the reception, "I can't wait, Love! I fucking want ya sa bad right now!"

They were kissing ravenously and desperately trying to remove each other's clothing when a loud "AHEM!" spoiled their potential lovemaking. Christine snickered, "Really, Bro? You can wait to take her later in the honeymoon suite?" He growled, "She my missus officially now, sa I can shag her whenever I want! Bugger off!" Christine laughed as Cherry was pulling up her dress, smacking him on the chest as the rest of the ladies entered the room. Denise loudly exclaimed, "Hey! Nope! Out! Don't make me get the guys to pull you out of here!"

Drew turned and wagged his eyebrows, "Let em come try!" Lady gasped, "Drew! You get out of here now! We have to get ready for the reception. And the longer you wait to start that, the longer it will take to start the wedding night!" Drew rolled his eyes, "Goddamn yer logic, Lady! Eh, yer right. I'll leave." He started to walk away but rushed back to Cherry and kissed her senseless. He joked as he walked away, "Damn, Love. What are ya waiting fer? We have reception to start. Can't keep yer hands off me fer a second!" This left Cherry to gape at him in laughter, "You're such an ass! Even if it's a fine ass!"

After Cherry changed into the gorgeous, sexy red ballgown, everyone met just outside the banquet hall. Jane had set up an incredible reception mixed with both traditional Scottish and American celebrations. The first was the Traditional Grand March. As they were introduced to their guests, "Ladies and gentlemen, lets welcome the guests of honor, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Galloway!", Drew winked at Cherry and said, "Right foot first, my Love." They entered the hall and marched around to the bagpipes playing "Scotland The Brave". They were joined by Sheamus and Christine the next round, then Andy and Jane, then all the guests joined in as is the tradition.

As the wedding party and guests moved to the side, it was time for the happy couple's first dance. Drew pulled Cherry close as the song started. It had been their song since that day by the beach since she was his special Angel. As Robbie Williams "Angels" played, their bodies moved as one as they laughed, kissed and even cried some. They had gone through so much leading up to this day. But as Drew pointed out as the song wound down looking into her eyes, "Our moms. They are our angels, and I have no doubt they brought us together from where they are. And they are as happy as we are today, my Love."

As the crowd watched Drew and Cherry dance, Madcap Moss sat to himself. He knew wasn't really welcome there for the things he had done to Drew and Cherry, but he was hoping to get a chance to personally apologize to Drew. The DJ said, "OK, now it's time ta get yer bloody arses on tha dance floor! Thank ya fer the music selections, Ms. Krystal. Time ta party!" He started with Adina Howard's "Freak Like Me", and Krystal took Cherry by the hand and said, "OK girl. Let's show these guys how we always got down back home!"

They and the Angels started dancing in a circle, the ladies occasionally looking at their men to make sure they were watching them shake their asses. Madcap spotted Krystal and immediately felt something. He thought to himself, "Damn! She's beautiful! God, she's gorgeous! But she obviously knows Cherry and she doesn't exactly like me. I don't blame her. Still… Oh hell, go for it!"

Mariah Carey's "Touch My Body" came on much to the delight of the ladies. Drew came up behind Cherry to join in on this song. Madcap was getting ready to approach Krystal, loving the way her body moved, when his phone went off. It was Tennille Dashwood, his girlfriend. She had once been in WWE as Emma but most recently had a stint in Impact under her real name. Her text read: "Michael, where the hell have you been? You told me you would be back today! What the fuck is going on?" Moss sighed, resigning himself to not meeting his dream girl, and left the reception knowing he would have to answer to his Tenny.

After a lot of dancing, everyone dined on a great meal provided by Drew's aunts. Cherry tried haggis for the first time. She liked it until Drew told her what it was made of. She quickly grabbed a ginger pop to keep from getting sick. But she brightened up when she saw the mashed potatoes. Drew laughed and said, "They're called tatties here." She said "Just pile as much on my plate as possible." She also loaded up on fish and chips, and most of the Angels stuck to this as well.

It was a good three hours after they married, and the party was still in full swing. Everyone praised Christine for getting one of the best bands in Scotland to play crazy 80's music for them on top of the DJ that Krystal had helped pick the 90s and 2000s dance music. Much to Cherry and Christine's delight, Drew, Heath and Jinder got on stage for a 3MB reunion. They screeched out, "Sweet Child o' Mine", with Drew dedicating it to his new wife. Both Sheamus and Xavier Woods videoed the performance on their phones, with the latter saying, "This is the greatest blackmail ever!"

Lady looked at Christine and knew as soon as the reception was over, she would have to tell her about Alyssa. Denise asked her, "Hey, are you OK? You look weird? You feeling sick again?" Lady shook her head, "No. Listen, I need to talk to someone and Cherry is too occupied. Come with me." They retreated to the bathroom where Lady explained the situation.

Denise was shocked, "Holy shit! I get why you've kept this to yourself. There's no telling how Christine would act, and we can't have Drew and Cherry's moment ruined, even though that's the last thing Christine would want. But she needs to know." Lady agreed, "I'm going to tell her right after Drew and Cherry go up for their wedding night. Will you help me tell her?" Denise hugged her and said "Of course! I got your back."

It was time for the toasts. Sheamus started things off with his best man speech. He couldn't resist poking the bear, "Ya see this muppet? This big idiot? He always cracks on me about my age! He says I was forty-seven when he met me at nineteen! Wanker!" Everyone laughed, especially Drew, as Sheamus told stories of their early wrestling days and traveling the world together chasing their dream.

He said, "No one really knows how tight we are. We have fought in and out of tha ring., and we respect each other even more after every dust up. We have a friendship that goes way beyond wrestling. He's my brother in every way but blood. Seeing Drew at his lowest points has made me even happier to see him at this highest point possible. And ta see him find such a wonderful gal that gave him tha kick in the ass he needed, it makes me sa happy. Cherry is a special lady and I love her fer loving my best friend sa much. Drew and Cherry, I love ya both. Slàinte mhath!" Everyone raised their glasses as both Drew and Cherry hugged their friend.

Kevin got up and toasted the couple, "I'm sa thankful that Cherry asked me ta have such an important part of the ceremony. I'm sa honored that you guys think so highly of me. Watching yer love blossom has been a beautiful thing to watch. I wish ya nothing but tha best and a world of happiness and love. Slàinte mhath!" He tearfully saluted them with his glass. Lady Christina grabbed his hand, proud of her man.

Christine got up next for her maid of honor speech. She was silent at first, biting her lip and trying not to cry. Her eyes met Drew's and, after he mouthed, "Ya can do it", she took a deep breath, "I dreamt of this day. I've dreamt about it for the last three years. In my dream, I saw Cherry and Drew together, in love and married. They tried to hide their love from us for a year and even before that, they pretended they weren't even interested in each other. They did a very shitty job at that."

Everyone laughed, with Cherry shrugging, "It's true." Christine continued as she looked at two people she would die for, "And now, after so much adversity, they are married. And they're going to have those two babies. Not a lot of people know this, but Cherry saved my life. Physically, mentally, in every single way. She gave me her blood to help me survive. She gave me encouragement and hope when I needed to hear it. When we joined the Angels, I was afraid. I was always the black sheep. Alone and saying that I didn't need anyone. But I'm not alone anymore. I've got these incredible, kick ass sisters. Got me a Bro too."

Then her hazel eyes met up with a certain pair of blue eyes. Her Irishman. Her love. The man who was soon to be her husband, "And I found my true love. That guy right there." She pointed at Sheamus, who blew her a kiss. She said, "I love that man. And I love those two incredible people who got married today. I love the fact that you're having those beautiful kids..."

She blinked, allowing tears to fall down her face. Cherry looked over at Drew, who closed his eyes for a moment. He felt all the emotion from the last three years, finally understanding the dreams he had. He nodded and she concluded, "So let's raise a glass to the amazing human beings. We all love you so much. Cheers!" As everyone clinked glasses, Christine sat back down, Next to Sheamus, who only kissed her. "I love ya, babe.", he whispered. She smiled, "Love you more, my Irish hooligan daddy." They shared a secret. The private plane was waiting on the airstrip. They had their papers in order.

Next it was time for the Lang Reel. This dance begins with everyone dancing and having a merry time. The idea is that the groom and the bride are the last ones on the dance floor, and this is typically when the first dance takes place. However, for this they pushed it to before Drew and Cherry exited the reception. Cherry chose, "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol for the song.

One by one, the guests left the dance floor until Drew and Cherry were the last on the dance floor with the lyrics: "Let's waste time/ Chasing cars/ Around our heads/ I need your grace/ To remind me/ To find my own" Drew leaned into her ear and sang softly to his new wife, "If I lay here/ If I just lay here/ Would you lie with me and just forget the world?/ Forget what we're told/ Before we get too old/ Show me a garden that's bursting into life/ All that I am/ All that I ever was/ Is here in your perfect eyes, they're all I can see" Then he kissed her, making them both feel like the only two people on the face of the Earth.

Then, it was time for Cherry to throw the bouquet as the DJ played, "Save A Horse (Ride A Cowboy)". She whispered to Drew with a smirk, "I'll be riding my Scottish cowboy later!" Cherry had told Christine she'd be aiming for her, but she was not too concerned knowing she would be eloping tomorrow. Cherry threw the gorgeous bouquet behind her, which consisted of roses, daisies, and sprigs of white heather for luck. It fell right into the hands of her oldest friend, Krystal. Cherry hugged her and said, "Now, let's find you a hunky wrestler too!"

Drew took Cherry's hand and led her to a chair in the middle of the dancefloor. He announced, "OK all ya single lads, come gather around as I feel my wife up fer the garter!" Cherry put her hand over her face and said, "Really? You damn devil!" He winked and smirked as "Pony" by Ginuwine played. Drew got down on his hands and knees and crawled towards her, sticking his tongue out to the cackling and howling of his fellow wrestlers.

As he reached her, he took her leg and rested it on his shoulder, caressing it while exposing it slightly. Then his head disappeared underneath her skirt, and her squeals, squirming and slapping at his head let everyone know he was doing more than retrieving the garter from her thigh. He finally came out with the blue garter between his teeth, stood and twirled it on his pointer finger. She rolled her eyes as he flung it into the crowd of available men, with Jack Jester coming out the winner.

Drew stood up, taking Cherry by the hand to pull her up with a huge, smug smile on his face as he quieted the room down. He laughed, "Guys! GUYS! Pipe down, ya animals! I think it's time fer me and the wife...God, how I fucking love saying that! The wife. MY wife." Heath and Jinder cheered their fellow 3MB member and LA Knight hollered "YEAH!" really loud. Drew continued, "Me and the wife, we're retiring to the honeymoon suite. It's time ta shag her rotten!"

This caused a big cheer from his friends and the Angels themselves. Sheamus and Christine looked at each other and nodded. Drew concluded, "But don't let us leaving stop ya all from partying all night! Have fun. Dance and drink ta yer heart's content. Just everyone be safe. Stay at the hotel if ya want." Cherry said, "Now if you will excuse us, I have to go shag my husband!" The Angels and Krystal jumped up and down and screamed, "Yes, girl! Get your man!"

Everyone lined the path in the corridor from the banquet hall to the stairway. As Drew and Cherry walked through, they tossed rose petals at the happy couple as "Somewhere Only We Know" by Keane serenaded. As they reached to top of the first flight of stairs, Drew and Cherry looked into each other's eyes, so full of love and proud to finally be man and wife. Drew kissed her soundly to the cheers of their friends and family. They turned and waved, then retreated upstairs to start the most beautiful romantic night of their lives.

Lady nudged Denise, who nodded and looked around for Christine. They saw her turning down the hall towards the front lobby with Sheamus in tow. They ran after them and were ready to approach them when they overheard Christine saying, "It's time, Sheamy. I just got confirmation with Dom that the plane is ready for us and set to take off for Dublin as soon as we arrive."

Both Lady and Denise gaped and Sheamus has some doubts, "Lass, maybe we should wait until tomorrow. I mean, our family might be upset with us, and I know Drew and Cherry wanna be there fer us ta get married." Denise whispered, "Holy fuck! Are they eloping?" Christine was adamant, "Nah. We'll have a party afterwards when we get back to Nashville. I don't want to take away from our Bro and Sis. They'll understand. We'll fly back and pick them up after the ceremony."

He kissed her and headed out of the hotel catching a waiting Uber. Lady fretted, "Damn it! It's too late to catch them! She needs to know this, but I don't want to interrupt Drew and Cherry's wedding night. She's the only one Phoenix will listen to. And she needs to know about Alyssa sooner than later! She's the girl's only close living relative." Denise shrugged, "Sorry, girl. We don't have choice in this matter. We'll have to wait until tomorrow morning to get Cherry. She's the only one that knows Dom well enough to come back and get us to Dublin. Let's just hope we can catch up to them before they elope. They shouldn't go through this alone."
