Ghosts From The Past

The next day, Cherry and Drew awoke and made love again. He had one leg draped across his shoulder and the other spread wide so he could pound her deep and hard. Their sighs and moans were loud as they got lost in this loving and sensual moment. Cherry squealed as came hard around his cock, and Drew grunted loudly as his release nearly took his breath away as they kissed that beautiful, perfect lover's kiss.

After coming down out of their sex filled euphoria, Drew noticed Cherry acting strange. She would stare off into space as she was getting ready for the gym. As she stood in front of her full-length mirror, Drew snaked his arms around her from behind and kissed the back of her neck. This seemed to liven her up some, but he asked, "Love, are ya OK? Ya seem a million miles away."

She shrugged, "I guess that dream I had last night shook me a little. It… I don't know. It just seemed so real. Almost like someone was trying to speak to me." Drew looked concerned, "Well, that book yev been reading about pregnancy. Didn't it say something about yer dreams being more vivid and strange?" She said, "It did. I don't know. But that's not all. After what… Never mind. I don't want to be in a negative frame of mind."

Drew shook his head and reminded her, "No. Remember? Ya gotta talk ta me. We're not keeping secrets anymore." Suddenly, a pang of guilt about the one he's been keeping hit him. Cherry sighed, "Everything that went down in Scotland. That motherfucker coming back after all these years. Seeing that horrible face. Trying to kill you and take me back and threatening the babies. All those years of running and he still caught up to me like some monster out of a nightmare. I guess I feel like I never got my own closure with him. I don't know."

Drew held her tighter to his chest, "Ya know what I remember most about that trip? Marrying tha love of my life and finding out I'm gonna be a dad ta these two wee ones." His hands slipped down and cradled her lower belly. She smiled and put her hands over his, "You're right. I need to stop letting the ghosts of the past invade the present. I need to let this go. We have way too much to look forward to instead of looking back."

He kissed her right cheek and turned her to him in an embrace, "Can ya repeat that one part?" She asked, "Which part is that?" He smugly smirked, "The part where ya said I'm right. I love hearing that." She playfully smacked in on the chest as he laughed. She gave him "the look", "You really are a dork!" He kissed her again and winked, "Remember, I'm your dork. Ferever, Love."

They finished getting ready and met Krystal downstairs. They shared a light breakfast before heading to the gym. As she retrieved her keys from the kitchen table, Cherry received a text from Christine: "Sis, please don't tell Drew but I can't find my new bracelet! I think the loose clasp came undone and it slipped off somewhere around your place. I can't find it anywhere! Please keep an eye out for it!"

Cherry immediately started looking around the floors for the item. Drew asked, "Love, what are ya looking fer?" Not wanting to alarm him or rat Christine out, she shrugged, "Nothing. Let's go get this workout in!" But as she walked by the jukebox on her way out of the house, Cherry got a cold chill run down her spine and that familiar tingle on the back of her head returned. She looked in its direction and swore she saw the lights flicker. She thought to herself as she left, "Ghosts of the pasts…"

They arrived at the gym, meeting Sheamus and Christine at the front. Christine enthusiastically said, "Ah! Mr. and Mrs. McInfart have arrived finally! Oh, hey Krystal. Welcome to the family!" Drew rolled his eyes, "Always nice ta see ya, "Mr. and Mrs. Old Bastard!" Krystal leaned in and whispered to Cherry, "Are they always like this?" Cherry chuckled, "Yep, pretty much."

Sheamus punched Drew on the arm and said, "Well, me and this muppet need ta hit the ring ta work out our matches fer Smackdown tonight. See ya lovely ladies later." He kissed Christine hard on the mouth and popped her on the ass. Drew kissed Cherry and said, "Have a good workout, ladies. "My Love, please take it easy. And Phoen, try ta behave." Christine huffed, "Ha! Why would I start doing such a dreadful thing like that, bro?"

Cherry, Krystal and Christine headed to the open mat and started stretching. Cherry's mind was still troubled as she inquired, "Krystal, I need to ask you. Did you hear anything unusual in the house last night?" Krystal snickered, "Other than you and Drew going at it hot and heavy? No. By the way, you guys know how to put on quite a show! You really are a lucky girl!" As Cherry blushed with embarrassment, Christine laughed, "Way to go, Sis! You should've heard them on the plane ride to Scotland…"

Cherry came up from hiding her face and quickly interrupted, "ANYWAY! So, you didn't hear anything after that?" Krystal thought for a moment, then remembered, "Well, I heard Hunter and Chaz meowing and growling really loud around 1:30, then I heard you and Drew talking. But that's it." Cherry looked confused, "So, you didn't hear a song playing on the jukebox either? I guess it was a dream. Or I'm completely crazy." Krystal shook her head, and saw the anxious look on her face, "Les, what's going on?" Christine was concerned as well, "Hey, Cher. Talk to us."

Cherry sighed, "I was woken up by this song last night. I sounded muffled and like it was coming from downstairs. When I walked down there, the jukebox was playing "Here Comes My Baby". And the cats started going crazy as well. Drew said he didn't hear it either. I think I was dreaming. Yeah, I must have been."

Christine nodded, "Well, if you're sure. I'm gonna go hit the bag. I need to get some aggression out after that trip." Cherry stood up, "I'll join you. Better get these in while my belly isn't like a barrel. Krys, are you joining us?" Krystal said, "I'm doing legs today so I'm hitting up the stairmaster first. I'll catch up with you soon."

Drew and Sheamus were in the ring running the ropes when they spotted their wives entering the combat room, heading to the heavy bags. Drew yelled, "Love, no kicking! Ya know what the doctor said!" She replied, "I'm not! I'm throwing punches only!" Sheamus wondered, "Hey, is Cherry OK? She's not acting like herself taday." Drew smirked, "Well, I shagged her extra hard last night so…" Sheamus looked up, Oh fer fook's sake! Nah seriously, she seems…"

Drew finished, "Haunted?" Sheamus agreed, "Yeah, like she's not her usual cheerful self." Drew said, "I'll explain as we go. Something strange happened last night, and I think she's hiding the real effects of what happened with that bastard in Scotland from me." Sheamus warned, "Then she's not the only one hiding something, mate." Drew gave him a look, then watched Cherry closely.

Cherry was telling Christine as they walked in, "I didn't see the bracelet anywhere, but I'll keep looking. Maybe it fell and got up under the couch or something." Christine started hitting the heavy bag, hoping to beat down those images from Scotland: seeing Adam Ridge again, Taryn hitting Cherry and causing her to nearly lose the twins, feeling no guilt over Adam and Phil's gruesome deaths.

She was also hoping to pummel the feeling that all the chaos caused on the trip was her fault. The near breakup of Drew and Cherry's relationship, her friendship with Cherry nearly destroyed, all of the anxiety caused to the entire Angels family. Each hit to the bag was used to squash her insecurities and fears, giving her the clearer mindset she needed to deal with knowing she would be adopting a niece she didn't even knew existed soon. But she looked over at Cherry and knew she wasn't the only one dealing with demons for Scotland.

Cherry stood in one spot staring at the bag. Almost as if she was frozen to the spot. The longer she stared, the more she saw Phil Rumsfeld's disgusting face. She heard him screaming at her, "You're such a fucking whore!" "You're nothing without me!" "I'll rip those babies right out of your womb!" Then, the images from the deep recesses of her mind that she suppressed for so long: the beatings, the rapes, all the vile, awful things he said and did to her. They all came back in a flood of emotion.

Cherry started punching the bag, light at first, but then her strikes became harder and more intense. She started to snarl and scream, "You goddamn motherfucker! You're dead, you son of a bitch! You're fucking DEAD! I should've been the one that killed you, you fucking piece of shit! You will never control me again! I hate you! I FUCKING HATE YOU!"

Christine tried to stop her, "Cher, sweetie, please stop! Cherry, you need to calm down! Drew! I need you over here now!" Drew and Sheamus stopped their training and rushed to the bags. Drew was stunned at how aggressively Cherry was punching the bag and screaming. He stepped in front of the bag and caught her right fist with his hand, "Love! Stop! Please! The babies!"

Cherry's haze of anger faded the moment his hand closed around hers. She looked into his eyes and started to cry, "Oh god! Drew, I'm so sorry!" He pulled her into a bear hug like embraced and kissed her forehead. He held her to his chest and said, "He's gone, baby. He'll never hurt you again. Yer safe. Our babies are safe."

Cherry came up from the hug and wiped her eyes. She took a deep breath and said, "Maybe the bag wasn't such a good idea after all. I'm going to the yoga class. I need a good stretch." Drew looked at Sheamus and said, "I'm going with her. I don't wanna leave right now." Sheamus nodded, "Tell ya what. I'll go too. I need ta be pretzeled good myself."

Cherry shook her head, "Guys, I'm fine. You don't have to babysit me." Christine said, "Don't think of it as babysitting. Think of it as a hilarious caper watching these two dorks struggle with the tree pose. And I'm not leaving your side right now either, so just accept it, Sis." Cherry gave a slight smile as they headed to the yoga studio, but she was still bothered by her own actions.

Michael Rallis, aka Madcap Moss, was nearby lifting his weights. He figured that Drew and Sheamus were oblivious to the fact that he was there. Either that or they saw him, decided to ignore him and go on with their workout. He still wanted to talk to Drew and apologize for everything he had been a party to. But he also knew never to interrupt an athlete during their workout. So, he kept his head down and focused on arm day.

He was finishing up with his set of bicep curls when he spotted her. Her! His dream girl was here in his presence wearing a pink two-tone sports bra and leggings. Ever since he first laid eyes on Krystal at Drew and Cherry's wedding, he couldn't stop thinking about her. But now that she was actually here, he knew he had to try and talk to her. He internally smirked, "Tennille isn't around to nag the shit out of me, so go for it!"

He looked around to make sure that Drew and Sheamus weren't about to jump on him, or that Cherry wouldn't stop him by warning Krystal about what he had done in the past. He took a deep breath as he saw Krystal on the stairmaster and watched her in that sexy workout outfit she was wearing. He couldn't help but think to himself, "Damn, that body of hers is sinfully sexy as hell and so fit! Mmm that fine ass!" Madcap watched Krystal for several minutes as slowed down her gait and got off the stairmaster.

He walked over to her as she was taking a sip from her water bottle and toweled her sweat off her forehead. "Hi. Looks like you got in quite a workout.", Madcap casually said to Krystal. "Hi. Yes, I always enjoy leg day.", Krystal spoke as she turned around. He stuck out his hand, "I'm Michael." She accepted it, "I'm Krystal, nice to meet you." He grinned, "Nice to meet you too."

Madcap and Krystal shook hands, but then he lifted her hand to his lips and kissed it. Krystal thought, "Quite a gentleman he is. And he's damn cute too! Holy shit, that body is fine as hell!" He asked, "So, do you live around here?" She replied, "Yes. Well, I just moved here a couple of days ago from North Carolina. I'm living with my best friend and her husband for the time being. I'm starting a new job today."

He nodded, "Well, congratulations!" She smiled, "Thanks. What about you? What do you do for a living?" He hesitated, "I… I do a lot of traveling with my job involving sports." That was sort of the truth. He didn't want to say what he did because Krystal would know he worked with Drew, and if she found out what he did for a living and the part he played in the plot against Drew and Cherry, Krystal would instantly want nothing with him.

She said, "Oh, okay. Cool! My job will involve a lot of traveling as well. I mean, I love to travel. So, this should be a piece of cake." He said, "I'm pretty sure it will be. You seem like you're quite resourceful. And you're very beautiful as well." Madcap and Krystal were casually flirting with their eyes. Krystal couldn't help but notice his muscular body. She thought to herself, "Damn! I think I need to unwrap that tight ass package! Hmm speaking of package…damn! I see you, Michael!"

But Madcap spotted Cherry looking around and he knew he had to go, fast. He excused himself, "Listen, I don't want to disrupt your workout, and I gotta go get ready to do my job later. It was great to meet you, Krystal. Maybe I'll see you around." She smirked, "Maybe you will." Then, Madcap quickly left as Krystal smiled, thinking that she just met this incredible, hot guy, unaware of who he was.

Cherry walked up to Krystal as she noticed the huge smile on her face. She asked, "Hey, girl. Uh oh! OK, what's got you smiling so big?" Krystal coyly answered, "Maybe it's because…I just met this super cute guy!" Cherry, despite her earlier incident, got excited, "What?! Oh my god! Well? Does this super cute guy have a name?" Krystal looked almost giddy, "He told me his name is Michael."

Cherry said, "Well, did Michael asked you for your phone number?" Krystal replied, "No, Mrs. National Inquirer, he didn't." Cherry huffed, "Girl, you better find that guy and give him your phone number! Like, now!" Krystal rolled her eyes, "Leslie, I'm starting my new job today and I got a lot on my plate. Besides, it's more than likely than I'll never see him again because he said he travels a lot with his job in sports."

Cherry said, "Hey, you never know, you might see him again. And who knows? Maybe we'll see him out on on the town tonight and I might not be the only one getting lucky!" Krystal scoffed, "Hopefully, but I doubt it. And I don't think any couple in history gets it on more than you and Drew! Damn!" Cherry bit her lower lip, "You may be right about that…"

They were joined by Drew, Sheamus and Christine. Drew took Cherry's hands, "Love, ya feel better after yoga? Ya look a lot more relaxed." She kissed him on the lips and said, "Yes, I feel more like my old self again." Krystal asked, "Wait, what happened? Are you OK?" Cherry waved her hand, "I'm fine, Krys. I just had an episode with the punching bag."

Christine said, "More like she nearly beat the shit out of it." Sheamus said, "I think she mistook the bag fer that fooker who lost his bleeding head in Scotland." Krystal said, "Les, you know that motherfucker is gone. He's not coming back." Cherry felt annoyed, "Guys, please. I promise you. I'm fine. I needed to get all that out of my system, and it's gone. Please, let's just move on. We should go back home and relax before the guys and Krystal have to report to Smackdown this afternoon. Denise will be meeting us there to start learning about the Angels system as well." Krystal said, "Yeah, I could do with a nap after a shower."

Cherry said, "Oh, I left my water bottle in the locker room. I'll be right back." As she excused herself, Drew said to the group, "OK guys, I don't like this. She's been acting strange since last night. I need yer help ta keep an eye on her. I'm worried after what happened here." Christine agreed, "Yes, I think she's in denial of what happened with Phil. I'm concerned too."

Krystal said, "Well, Leslie and I are going out to downtown Nashville tonight after Smackdown. Since it's just me and her, I'll see if I can get her to talk to me." Drew said, as he spotted Cherry walking back to them, "Thanks, Krystal. Things are finally in a good place. I just need her ta know we're all finally free from danger."
