Hello my loves! Well, that was intense! Imagine finding out your dream guy tried to hurt your best friend. YIKES! As always, love to my girls Tm12Brady, GoldenGirl1920, ClaymoreQueen1920 and wwechristina for their support.
In fact, GoldenGirl1920 helped write some of the karaoke scene in the chapter, as well as the shell of the fight with Madcap in the last chapter. So, let's give "Krystal" some love in those Reviews! Now, let's see what happens on Cherry and Krystal's girls night out...and if the jukebox keeps fucking with Cherry's sensitivity! Enjoy!
Girls Night Out
Riverside
After loving watching Drew beat the absolute shit out of both Madcap Moss and Happy Corbin as well as the entire Smackdown show, Cherry returned with Drew back to their home with Krystal. It was time for the ladies to get ready for their night out. Krystal was in her room downstairs, finishing up her makeup and putting on her tight black strapless dress. Her hair, freshly removed of her braid, not in her short black bob.
She couldn't help but relive the disappointment and anger she felt finding out that her dream guy had played a part in her best friend nearly getting losing her babies. And the gall of him trying justify his actions, like anything he could say would make what he did to Leslie and Drew sound better. But she knew she had to put all of that out of her mind. She was reunited with her best friend and they were getting ready to go out for a night on Broadway.
Meanwhile, Cherry was upstairs putting the finishing touches on her hair. She had put it up in a curly up-do while wearing her slinky, short red dress. She sighed as she looked in her full-length mirror, "Well I won't be able to wear this one much longer." Be then, she smiled placing her hands on her lower tummy, "And I'll never be happier to purchase a whole new wardrobe! My sweet little ones! Most of the time, I just have to replace my undies that your Daddy like to ruin."
She jumped a little, but then melted against the huge, muscular frame that suddenly appeared behind her fresh from his shower, snaking his arms around her waist. She loved the smell of her husband freshly clean, or very sweaty for that matter. That cum inducing voice hummed, "Mmm hmm. And yer Mama loves it when I do that too. Damn, ya looks sexy as hell, my Love." He craned her neck up and kissed him on the lips, "Thank you, Baby. I loved watching you kick ass on those two dumbasses tonight. Kinda turned me on."
Drew chuckled, "Yer always turned on. Just like I like it!" He popped her on butt as she giggled and swatted his hand away. She scoffed, "Especially Madcap. I can't believe he tried to pick Krystal up at the gym this morning. Creep! I'm just glad she found out what a tool he is now instead of later. I don't want to see her hurt." He said, "I know, Love. I'll do my best ta keep both of those idiots away from her sa she can do her job."
Cherry wrapped her arms around Drew's neck and hugged him tight with her head on his left shoulder, "Thank you. For everything. And I mean everything. I love you so much!" His embrace became bear like as he groaned, "I love ya too! Try not ta be ta late tanite. I gotta head out fer the weekend shows in tha morning and I wanna hold ya tight ta me in bed." She pursed her lips and batted her eyelashes, "Just hold me?" He smirked, "Oh yer gonna get tha bonus plan, my Love. Bet on that. Now, go have fun with Krystal."
A few minutes later, Cherry walked down the stairs and shouted "Krystal, I'm ready. Let's do this, girl!" When she reached the bottom, she noticed both Chaz and Hunter standing in front of the jukebox staring at it. She walked over and asked, putting her hand on the top, "What are you two up…" That's when a massive cold chill ran up her body from toe to the spot on her head that tingles. She gasped as she felt so many emotions run through her: sadness, extreme pain, loss, anger.
She looked in the glass and saw what was supposed to be a reflection, but slowly dissolved into another. She was very pretty, with a raven black high sixties type flip hairdo. Her nose was button and her lips were full. She couldn't make out the color of her eyes as she appears ashen, almost as if she were in black and white, but they were large a doe like. As a stunned Cherry glanced at her, the reflection whispered, "Help me!"
"Girl, what are you doing staring at that jukebox?", Krystal shouted, trying to get Cherry's attention. Cherry snapped out of her trance in a panic and said, "What?" Krystal became concerned, "OK, you're out of breath and you look like you've seen a…oh no! OK, we're not going anywhere and I'm getting Drew down here now!"
Cherry grabbed her arms and said, "No! Seriously, I'm fine. I promise. My imagination just ran a little wild. It was nothing. You just startled me." Krystal folded her arms, "Who do you think you're talking to? You can't fool me. You just had contact with a ghost, didn't you? Les, you have to tell drew about this. You have to protect those babies."
Cherry shook her head in complete denial, "No. Drew is going out of town for WWE this weekend and I can't lay anything like that on him after what we just went through. I will never let anything hurt those two. I didn't see anything. You just startled me." Krystal rolled her eyes, "Leslie, this after what happened last night has me really worried about you. Please let's just…"
Cherry cut her off with a hand wave, "No. I'm fine. I promise. Now, come on. I promised you a girl's night out, and it's slipping away. Let's go have some fun, Lawson!" Krystal relented with a reluctant shrug and said, "OK. But the first sign I see of fatigue or discomfort out of you we're going home." Cherry sarcastically said, "Yes, mom!" They giggled as Cherry grabbed her clutch and keys. Before heading out the door, she took one last look at the jukebox, and walked out of the door.
Tequila Cowboy: Downtown Nashville
They parked at the pot on 1st and Broadway and made their way up to Tequila Cowboy. They ordered a couple of sparkling waters. Krystal wasn't much of a drinker and Cherry was obviously in no condition to partake in alcohol. They raised their large glasses and Cherry proclaimed, "To the Gaston County girls! Reunited and we will damn sure stay that way!" Krystal hollered, "I'll drink to that, Sis!"
As they clinked their glasses together, Madcap Moss entered the bar, holding…or more like dragging…Tennille Dashwood behind him. He could vaguely hear her complaining, "Yuck! Michael, what kinda hellhole did you drag me to? Gross!" But he wasn't paying a bit of attention because he has spotted her, the object of his desire. Krystal sat at a tall table on a stool next to Cherry in the back of the bar. He smiled, seeing them laughing and talking.
He said, "What? Sorry. But this place isn't that bad. Here, I'll get us some drinks. You want a cosmo, right?" She snarked, "Ugh! I guess so. Hopefully this place cleans their glasses. I'm going ta tha ladies room and pray it's not disgusting. I'll be right back." He nodded but really couldn't care what she said. His eyes and mind were fixed right on Krystal, but he diverted them for the moment to order their drinks.
As Tennille walked by, she spotted Cherry and recognized her immediately. Hoping to ingratiate herself with as many connected with WWE in an attempt to get her job back, she put on a fake smile and walked over to speak. She interrupted their conversation and excitedly said "Hi there! You're Cherry, right? Drew's new wife? He's just the sweetest guy ever!"
Cherry raised her eyebrow, but returned the pleasantry, "Yes, I am. And yes he is. And you are?" She chortled and said, "Oh! I'm Tenny Dashwood. I was worked with Drew in WWE as Emma. I'm over at Impact now. But I saw all the press about your wedding and I have to say, you looked so beautiful. I'm so happy Drew found himself a good one after…well, you know." Cherry rolled her eyes, "Yeah, I know." Tennille gasped, "And I'm such a clod for not seeing your friend here. Hi, I'm Tenny." Krystal waved, "I'm Krystal. I'm Adam Pearce's new assistant." Tennille giggled, "Oh, well that's just great. You tell Adam I said hello. I'll leave you two lovely ladies to your…water. Have a great night!"
As she took her snotty leave, Cherry blinked, "Is it my imagination, or was that the most disingenuous exchange ever?" Krystal grumbled, "No, you're right on the money. Something about that one bothers me. Eh, whatever." Cherry looked mischievous and said, "OK, this is supposed to be our girl's night out, right? So, we should be having fun! You see this archway over there. It leads to WannaB's where they do karaoke. Remember those days when we used to do that at Chubby's in Charlotte?"
Krystal grinned, "Oh, yeah, I remember. I loved those nights. You always brought the house down when you sang Adele or Etta James." Cherry said, "That's not all. We always knocked them out with that En Vogue song. Hey, wanna go back those nights and take a crack at it again? Let's blow these cowboys away!" Krystal took a sip of her water and said, "Let's do it!" As they got up and walked through the pathway, Madcap followed them far behind with both his and Tennille's drinks in his hands.
Cherry and Krystal walked into the small space designated for WannaB's, where the KJ booth was set up at the back. Barry, slightly overweight with a salt and peppered beard that matched his hair, recognized his favorite singer right away and shouted, "Cherry! Where the hell have you been? I haven't seen you since that Midland concert last year when they pulled you up on stage."
She covered her face, "Oh my god! You were there?" He laughed, "Not that you would've known. You and that wrestler guy were sucking face the whole time. I heard you guys got hitched! Congrats!" She smiled, "Thanks! So, this is Krystal. My oldest friends in the world. We want to sing one if you have this." She wrote down her selection and handled him the slip of paper. He looked and said, "Oh I have that one. Get up there and knock us out, ladies."
Cherry and Krystal made their way to the raised stage. Madcap Moss stood in the back by the archway watching them. Tennille found him coming out of the bathrooms and screeched, "Oh there ya are! Oh god! This place is insufferable! No valet in the bathroom! What are you doing in this part, Michael. He didn't answer her, he was too busy watching Krystal's ass move in that tight dress. Tennille looked up toward the stage and huffed, "Oh, Drew's wife and Adam's little secretary are gonna sing. How cute.", her voice dripping with sarcasm.
Cherry and Krystal grabbed a microphone each. Cherry looked at the monitor and said, "I hope you remember this one!" Krystal laughed, "Yes! I remember we used to dress up like En Vogue and pretended to be those girls in the music video. Let's do this!" They gave each other their secret handshake and started singing. Cherry took the lead while Krystal sang harmony:
Many say that I'm too young/To let you know just where I'm coming from, yeah/But you will see it's just a matter of time/My love will surely make you mine/Well, I'm/Livin' in a world of ghetto life/Everyone seems so uptight/But nothing's wrong/And it's alright with my man/I like the way we carry on/His love will send me on and on with my man/People out there can understand/I'm givin' him somethin' he can feel/Ooh, to let him know this love is real (hey)/Givin' him somethin' he can feel (oh my love)/To let him know this love is real (oh my love is real)/This love is real
Madcap was entranced with the way Krystal moved her body as she sang. But when she took the lead on the spoken word part, his trousers started to feel extra tight in the package area: So much joy for us, it seems/So much hope for material things/Are they only in my dreams?/And that's exactly why I'm singing this song to you/To let you know that real dreams do come true/You tell me what does it mean?
When they finished the song strong, the crowd applauded as Cherry and Krystal took a bow. A young, drunk cowboy shouted, "Hey Red! Come give me something I can feel!" Madcap was really impressed because not only Krystal was a great dancer, but she was also a great singer. Tennille was getting annoyed as she stamped her foot, "I thought you were going to take me dancing, Michael!" He came out of his funk when he spotted Krystal and Cherry walking towards them and said, "Yeah, they started the music in Tequila Cowboy. Let's go., as he rushed her out of the karaoke area.
Cherry smiled, "Holy shit! That was fun! Just like old times!" Krystal said, "Yes it was! Let's go see if they're playing music for dancing over there now." Cherry said, "Deal! Let's go!" Before they could leave, the same cowboy that had catcalled her rushed up to Cherry, grabbed her arm, "Hey there, Red! Name's Nathan. Now, how about you fulfill my request, darling?" Cherry rolled her eyes and jerked her arm away, "How about you let go of me before I knock your drunk ass out, Billy Bob?" Krystal pulled her away through the archway and hallway leading back into Tequila Cowboy.
They heard the song playing and smiled. Krystal took her hand and said, "The Pussycat Dolls. Buttons. Our jam!" Cherry said, "Oh yeah! Now let's really get down!" They went to the dance floor and they started dancing. This was Madcap's opportunity to see Krystal move her sexy body again up close and personal. He said as Tennille took a sip of her cosmopolitan, "Hey, you wanna dance?" She groused and shrugged, "Sure." She nearly spilled her drink as he pulled her by the arm onto the dancefloor.
He positioned them to where he was close enough to where he could see Krystal dancing but far enough away where she and Cherry couldn't see him. As he danced with Tennille, acting like he didn't notice how terrible she was at it, he kept his eyes on Krystal the whole time.
He wished he was dancing with her and his mind wandered as he imagined Krystal right in front of him as she danced and grinded up against him. But he snapped back to reality when he saw a guy approaching Cherry in a way that he was uncomfortable with, given her delicate condition. He moved closer so he could hear their exchange, dragging a confuse and annoyed Tennille with him.
Cherry was having a blast dancing with Krystal when that same dude bumped up on her and demanded, "Darling, I don't think you realize what you're missing! You need a ride on this cowboy, Red! You won't regret it! Cherry was starting to get irritated, "No, sweetheart. I have a 6'5 ½" Scottish cowboy husband in my bed waiting for me to ride him later. Looks like you're stuck with your hand tonight. Bless your heart. Now, fuck off!"
Nathan wasn't about to take no for an answer and turned Cherry back around forcefully, "Listen, bitch! I said…" She lost her cool and screamed, "Under normal circumstances, I'd have beaten the fuck out of you already, but…" Before she could finish, he tried to grab her roughly as Krystal yelled for the bouncers. Just as fast, Madcap rushed in and punched Nathan so hard, he flew backwards and hit the back of his head on the bar.
As the bar crowd gathered around to watch, Madcap yelled as Nathan groaned and checked his jaw, "Hey, asshole! She told you to fuck off! Pick on someone your own size who's not pregnant. Bitch!" A shocked Cherry and Krystal looked from Madcap to Nathan being carried out by the bouncers. A very pissed Tennille, not happy that the attention was not on her, screamed in his face, "What the fuck, Michael? You were supposed to be taking me dancing! Not playing superhero to these two! You know what? I'm done with you tonight! I'll get an Uber home! Fuck off!"
She got even madder as she stomped out when she saw Madcap not following her, begging her to come back. He was still standing with Cherry and Krystal. He looked at Cherry and asked with sincerity, "Are you OK? Did he hurt you?" She held her arm and said, "No. It takes a much tougher asshole than that to do damage to me." He agreed "Believe me, I know that better than anyone. I just don't want you or your babies hurt." She was taken aback by his genuine emotion and nodded, "I'm fine thanks to you. I appreciate your help."
He said, "Look, I know I was rotten… Well, more than rotten to you and Drew in the past. But I meant what I said. I don't want to see you hurt, and I want to make things right with you and Drew." She nodded, "Thank you." She looked at a mystified Krystal, staring at Madcap, and said, "Girl, I hate to cut this short. But I really need to go home and be with Drew." Krystal shook her head, "Oh I'm way ahead of you. I was going to demand that we take our asses home now. I think that's enough fun and excitement for one night."
Madcap offered, "Given what happened with that jerk, I'd feel a lot better if you would allow me to follow you home. I want to make sure you get there safe." Krystal looked suspicious, "I don't think that's a good idea with Drew there. But it's up to you, Leslie." Cherry, very disturbed by what just happened and earlier with the specter in the jukebox, said, "You know, I'll take you up on that. We're parked on 1st and Broadway." He said, "So am I. I'll walk you to your car."
Riverside
"My Love! Jesus Christ, are ya OK? Are tha babies OK? Fer fuck's sake, I've been sa worried!", Drew screamed as he ran to Cherry walking through the door with Krystal. She had called Drew and told him about the incident on their way home. No mattered how much she had reassured him on the phone, he had panicked and paced until they pulled up in the driveway. She wrapped her arms tightly around him and said in a quivering voice, "I'm much better now I'm in your arms! I'm so sorry I worried you!"
He took her face in his hands as Krystal got out of the passenger seat and shut the car door, looking back at the rental blue Nissan Rogue that had followed them home. Drew said, "Don't ya dare be sorry! I feel like shit that I wasn't there ta help ya!" She shook her head, "No, don't do that to youself again. I'm fine. I had help…from the most unlikely of sources." Drew eyed the car that pulled in behind Cherry's red Jeep and wondered, "Who is this? Whoever it is has my thanks ferever."
But he was shocked at who stepped out of the car and walked up to them. He gaped and felt a tiny burn of anger, "Madcap! Is this a joke? He saved ya from that dumb redneck?" Cherry sighed, looking at Krystal's confused and hurt face, "Yes. Yes, he saved me. He knocked the fucker on his ass. Maybe broke his jaw."
Madcap, with his hands in his pocket with a slight slouch, approached them, "Hi Drew. I just wanted to make sure the girls got home OK. Especially Cherry. She was shaken up by that jerk. Can I talk to you alone?" Drew, still not looking pleased, without taking his eyes off Madcap, said, "Love, ya and Krystal go on inside and get settled. I'll be in shortly."
Cherry squeezed Drew's hand in agreement and led Krystal into the house. Before she shut the door. She turned around and said, "Michael, thank you. You showed true character tonight. Don't let an idiot like Corbin lead you astray again. I really do thank you for your help." She shut the door behind her, leaving Madcap alone to potentially deal with Drew's wrath.
