Chapter 08

The Start of many Things

They waited for the car after theirs to stop to let their children, with their happy and bright smiles, alight. It was only been moments ago when they themselves got off from their car after it has stopped. The door opened by an apologetic young man who quickly frowned at their state, noting the flushed and embarrassed look of the silver-haired man and the gorgeous and seductive look of the brunette who smiled at him which made the poor man greatly mesmerized and thus forgetting his suspicion of the two's relationship. It was almost dark now and the lamps had been lighted already to brighten the place when they emerged.

They were greeted by joyful children who bouncingly hugged them after alighting from their car. "Did you enjoy your ride?" Anne asked after hugging her otou-chan's waist after the hunter gathered Suiren in his arms.

"A-ah… It… wasn't bad." The silverette answered shortly while ruffling her hair. He fervently hoped his face was back to normal as to not reveal the intimate passing which would make them all awkward.

"I was a bit surprised when you stopped its motion." Kaname motioned to the Ferris Wheel when they started walking away with Naoto in his arms. "It's good that it didn't cause any panic." He continued in a light tone, not really admonishing his daughter. He'd never be angry for he knew the reason behind it and what with the great results of her actions.

Anne giggled as she held her otou-chan's hand. "Don't worry about that, chichiue! We have Nao with us. He has the ability to control people's mind." She immediately added at the shocked look on their parents' face, "Ah, but he merely whispered calm to the human's mind. He never really used his powers on living creatures before."

Kaname and Zero looked at the innocent and angelic face of the young silverette who was drinking milk-chocolate from a packed carton. They couldn't believe that he possessed such a devious art. While they knew they could rest assure that it wouldn't be used for evil reasons, still their children's powers and abilities both amazed and stunned them. They made a mental note of knowing each child's ability and personality once they had settled everything.

They proceeded to the amusement park's exit and only stopped from time to time to buy souvenirs that the children wanted and ones that Kaname would give to the Chairman, Ichiru and Yuki.

An Academy prefect and the vice-president of the Moon Dorm were walking in silence, not knowing what to say to each other. They had spent the whole day acting like crazy stalkers or scoop-hungry paparazzi. Now that the day was almost ending, it was time to head home and give the report to their instigator. It felt like the day had gone very fast. It was not enough.

"Thank you, Yuki-chan. You helped me a lot." Ichijou started, careful not to let disappointment to fill his voice. He sighed inwardly and wondered how fast the sun had set.

"It's nothing! I enjoyed it!" Yuki replied sincerely. They had caught many, many interesting pictures. Some they'd even keep from the Chairman for it contained images one wouldn't want to share with their father-figure. They also enjoyed each ride that their targets chose so she had so much fun. She felt that it was mostly thanks to her companion who made her day worthwhile. She also sighed inwardly. She didn't want to end it just yet.

"Should we take a cab? It's a long walk to the Academy from here."

"I don't mind walking!" The brunette mentally kicked herself for blurting that a bit too fast. She glanced towards Ichijou, hoping he didn't notice that and was mesmerized when she saw his wonderful, sunny smile.

"Okay. Should we also grab something to eat on the way?" He invited, fast feeling happiness since his time with the prefect lengthened even for just about a few more minutes.

"Great! I'm hungry!" She readily agreed, perking up and feeling cheerful that the time with her companion got extended.

And so, they proceeded, chatting as they went regarding what happened the whole day.

By the time they got back to the Academy, all five children were already asleep. Suiren slept in Zero's arms while Naoto in Kaname's. The brunette twins leaned on their nee-chan's shoulders while her head tilted on top of Akira's. They smiled while watching their slumbering children, exhausted from playing too much.

It was a great task when the time came to wake them up. Refusing the chauffer's offer of help, the Vampire King himself ended up carrying Naoto with Akira who really refused to open his eyes. Kohaku held on Zero' free hand since Suiren occupied his other hand, to be guided while walking with his eyes closed. The sleepy cherub was supported by his older sister who rubbed her eyes while dragging her feet.

"Hey, Akira, Kohaku, wake up. We're here. Wash up first before you sleep. Geez, wake up." Zero tried to mildly shake them to wake them up. He sighed and wondered if this was going to be a daily routine in the future. "Come on. Wake up. I'll help you two wash up so you can go back to sleep."

"They must have been really tired. They also woke up very early today." Kaname assumed. He smiled at the domestic picture of his lover undressing one of the twins who managed to at least sit up to help them to the bath.

"Yeah." Zero turned to their eldest. "Anne, you should wash up too. Please take Suiren with you and use Kaname's bath. I'll use the one here."

The eldest princess nodded sleepily. She produced some clothes for her brothers and handed it to her otou-chan before going to her chichiue's bath with her little sister. She clearly wanted to hurry up so she could finally sleep.

The silverette watched his daughter wobble to the other room before he turned to Kaname. "You, don't just stand there. Help me."

Kaname was quietly surprised but found himself delighted that his mate was fearlessly directing him on what to do. No one had ever dared to order him around. He indulgently smiled. Only his hunter would be audacious enough to do so and it was only his lover's orders he shall obey. He also found he liked the feeling of Zero entrusting him to take care of their children.

The almighty pureblood was actually having fun while they washed the half-asleep children. Their sleeves rolled up just above their elbows so it wouldn't get wet. Warmth permeated him every time he glanced at his lover's direction. Said lover was still valiantly trying to wake up Akira while he washed up Naoto and check on Kohaku who was washing himself whilst his eyes still close. When they have dried and dressed the three children, Akira snored softly as they did, they proceeded to tuck them in on their bed. One of which was already occupied by their little girls.

The young couple sighed contentedly as they watched their children slumber peacefully while they stood before the door. Kaname turned his gaze to his lover, whose eyes reflected fascination and satisfaction. After which, he rested his temple on Zero's shoulder, a hand wrapped around narrow waist to draw him closer. "I never thought you're so good at this." He smiled, eyes closed.

"Try living with the Chairman, Yuki and Ichiru and you'll be an expert within the day." The hunter responded, tensing a bit at the vampire's gesture. He was not used to having anyone this close before. He contemplated between scampering away and shoving his pureblood aside to escape. He was lost on how he should act. Yet, even when he felt a bit awkward and embarrassed at the brunette's actions, he found himself basking in warmth the proximity produced. Silently, he enjoyed the addicting smell of roses and books in him, feeling his heart shook and his body alive.

"My, I'm jealous." Kaname chuckled quietly.

The silverette looked at his lover at his declaration. "What? Are you trying to act cute?" He asked. Dark silver eyebrow arched slightly while lips tried to stop a smile from forming.

"Well, I wouldn't mind being spoiled by you." The brunette rose his head to face his lover, His face inches from the startled silverette. "Will you pamper me as well, Zero?" Was all he said before his lips covered his mate's.

It took Zero by surprise but could only close his eyes when Kaname took over his senses. He somehow knew that it would come to this eventually and his body honestly wished this. Pale hands automatically wrapped around his purebloods neck. One of Kaname's hand wrapped ever so tightly around his hips to pull the hunter closer while the other supported them by holding the door's frame.

"Hmmm…" The pureblood hummed slightly before deepening the kiss. His tongue delved deeper to feel his lover's heat and enjoy his luscious taste. He caught his hunter's groan in his mouth before sucking his lower lip only to continue to explore the hidden pleasure of his mate's mouth again. He pushed Zero's back on the door to dive deeper. His tongue intent in savoring this delectable treat.

They were almost lost. Zero returned his pureblood's passionate action with equal intensity and fervor. He felt Kaname's hand on his hip travelled beneath his clothes to feel his bare back. Cold air caressed his pale skin when his shirt was pushed slightly up. He would have loved to continue but he forced himself to turn his head away. He reminded himself where they were. "Not… here…" The hunter weakly voiced in ragged breathing.

He thought the vampire didn't hear him since Kaname then proceeded to leave passion bites on his pale white skin but afterwards, the brunette bit his ear before whispering in a voice heavy with need.

"That can be arranged." The pureblood whispered before snatching his lover's pale arm to march to the room on the other side of the hall. They travelled so fast for the pureblood was already too impatient as it was. He swore he'd really explode in tremendous ire if they were interrupted for the third time.

So immediately, even before they heard the door of his study close completely, he dragged his silverette in the adjacent room. The door opened and closed automatically with the locks tightly in place. He even made sure that they'd be soundproof they wouldn't hear what was going on outside and nothing would also be heard from the inside.

The pureblood was determined to take what he so desired since yesterday. He shall harshly punish anyone who'd interfere. No one would stop him from claiming his hunter again.

Once inside, he wasted no time in kissing Zero again while they struggled to find the bed where he proceeded on pushing him down. Eager lips were careful not to break the kiss that they intensely shared with mindless abandon.

The young hunter was a bit dizzy with how fast they travelled. That, coupled with the searing kiss made his body tremble. Instantly, he felt his body warm in excitement and expectation.

He'd been as deprived of pleasure as Kaname was so he returned the ardor with equal want, in eagerness. The fire he tried to ignore burned even brighter within him. His heart soared when he felt the soft mattress and smooth sheets against his back once he was pushed down and his mate covered his body. Pale arms were immediately around his neck to aid the vampire in pressing themselves closer.

Zero only vaguely registered the sound of his shirt's buttons coming off when his mate ripped his top open with hands impatient to feel his skin. He didn't care, even when he would have normally shouted. The only thing he felt was the pleasure of his lover's touch. It burned his skin but it was not enough to satisfy him and only succeeded in awakening greater needs.

The silverette then proceeded to unbutton the brunette's black shirt, urgency made him clumsy while the pureblood found the belt of his pants. It broke their kiss for this immediately caught his attention. His heart thudded more harshly when he felt him unbuckle and unzipped his pants. Dark lustful burgundy eyes were on equally hungry lilac ones which closed once pleasure attacked his system.

He hissed when he felt Kaname's hand on the velvet skin of his hardened member. He lost himself in madness as his pureblood began to lovingly stroke which made him arch his body slightly. Heated desire clawed his gut. His hips moved to beg for more. Pale grip tightened over the expensive fabric of the vampire's black shirt, unable to resume with their task. Silver hair pressed closely on the soft sheets. Swollen lips parted to produce breathless pants.

The Vampire King's forehead rested on his lover's to whisper breathlessly. "Ah, how beautiful." The rare and much anticipated image of the hunter undone under him had his hand quickening the pace. His husky voice added up to completely throw the helpless hunter to the swirl of hedonism.

Kaname continued to stroke. His hand added pressure from time to time which made his lover groan and hiss again and again. His movement became faster and faster. The pureblood watched in fascination at his silverette's flushed face which reflected pleasure. He was rueful that that moment in the island months ago was a bit unclear due to his injury. Now, he was desperate to engrave every expression in his mind. His own erection formed as he drowned in the alluring sounds and exclamation of the lovely creature before him.

Zero arched his body. There was scorching heat in his abdomen, like lava inside a violent volcano, seeking release. He couldn't take it anymore. He felt like he'd explode at any moment so he willed his eyes to open. Darkened lavender orbs found alluring burgundy ones immediately with his lover's forehead still on his. Slender hands instantly tangled with dark brown locks to pull his mate in a brief kiss before uttering in barely whisper in a ragged and breathless voice, "More."

It surprised Kaname. He didn't expect his stubborn hunter to plead. A part of him wickedly wanted to deny him as felt the urge to subject his petulant lover in the sweetest, most sensuous tortures he knew. However, he was already beside himself with desperate want, too impatient to claim him. He smirked and conceded. "Gladly."

The pureblood stopped the pleasurable torment only for a moment to completely strip his hunter of the obstacles that were his clothes. His own followed but he settled with just unzipping his pants for he was unwilling to delay their merging for another moment, eager to feel his lover's heat around him. He wondered if the conjecture in his mind was accurate or he would soon be hearing the hunter's admonishment at his lack of preparation.

Regardless, he didn't care. The noble vampire in him would have been shocked to find his current self so lacking in control and finesse. Even then, Kaname couldn't make himself stop. He hovered above his lean lover after placing himself in between long, pale legs. After taking both pale hands in his, he began thrusting slowly. The pleasure that coursed down his spine was instantaneous. He even belatedly registered the natural lubrication that made the spontaneous action otherwise excruciating. His lover's tightness seduced his intoxicated senses to penetrate harder. He withdrew only to dig deeper.

The burning discomfort caught Zero off guard.

"Ah! Fuck…!" The confusion he felt at the strange sensation of something liquid-like filling him was immediately forgotten at the height of intense pressure filling and stretching him. The silverette breathlessly exclaimed at the slight ache that came unexpectedly. It made him pressed his head back harder against the sheets.

Fuck, it hurts. He had completely forgotten the initial burn of this moment for he could only remember how good it felt the last time.

The squelching sound in the background remained unnoticed as the young silverette panted and took on more of the vampire at each thrust that seek to be enveloped completely. Long, pale legs wrapped around sturdy hips to help his mate reach his goal even though the discomfort almost made him insensible. His hands gripped his lover's to give him the strength not to pass out.

"Shhh… I know…" The pureblood purred and cooed his distressed lover. Perhaps, even the newly acquired natural lubrication was inadequate without proper preparation. Apologetic lips kissed fair, sweat-covered temple to comfort his lovely hunter somewhat for he couldn't stop himself. Even though he could see unease on his exquisite face, he wouldn't be able to.

The Vampire King had lost all control.

He'd only be able to stop once he was fully covered inside his hunter's warm entrance. So, he pulled back but only to push harder and sink even deeper, desperate to feel his heat.

When he was finally fully sheathed, both were panting ceaselessly. Zero held on tightly to Kaname's hands until both of their knuckles were deathly white.

The brunette busied himself with his hunter's pale skin, leaving traces of kisses, his mark of possession. Impatiently, he waited for his love to get used to his size.

Soft lips traced the long line of the silverette's white neck, tempted to bite down and taste the most delectable blood he'd ever had. He stopped himself, however, and strongly reminded himself of his lover's present condition. He was with child and he'd never compete with their little angel for his beloved's blood. His heart heaved but he decided he could wait.

When the pureblood felt his hunter's nudge, a sign he was ready, he was more than happy to continue with his ardent task. Kaname slowly withdrew only to thrust back sharply to look for the place that would send his lover on edge. They groaned breathlessly at the quickened pace. His hunter met his every intense lunge with equal fervor, with passion.

They shared sloppy kisses, messy as pants and moans escaped uncontrollably. Their voices hoarser and more ragged.

The brunette liberated one of his hands to wrap it around his mate's arousal again and timed each thrust with his stroke. This sent Zero in even more swirl of pleasure that turned his world, not knowing which way was down for he felt himself only arriving at the top. The silverette's free hand instinctively reached out to grasp at his dark-brown threads as if he was holding on to his slipping sanity. The trembling hand pulled the vampire down from time to time to taste his succulent lips.

Kaname looked up when he heard his silverette moan lewdly and knew he found what he was searching for. "Here?" He wasted no time in striking the sensitive region inside his lover's heat which sent them both in a myriad of pleasure. He didn't stop and pushed even harder, even faster. A slender hand continuously pumped his lover's arousal with equal intensity and groaned when he felt himself come closer to the peak.

Zero tried to muffle his groans with their intertwined hands in vain. His ragged voice, evidence of his delight and pleasure, resounded in the Moon Dorm president's room. He couldn't help it. It felt so great, so damn good. He felt it so strongly that he didn't even mind if his voice was heard all throughout the Moon Dormitory because right then, there was only Kaname in front of him.

"Kaname!" He moaned when he felt himself climaxed. He shuddered as he spilled into his pureblood's hand.

The brunette followed shortly after a few more thrust, groaning on his hunter's temple as he did. His body shook when he spilled inside his lover. Their bodies drowned in the delight of their merging.

The Vampire King collapsed on top of the silverette. Both were weak with pleasure. They were unmoving as they waited for their thundering hearts to slow down and breaths to even out.

Kaname turned to his lover and watched in fascination with his right cheek against the sheet. Fond burgundy drank the sight of his hunter gasping for air with his eyes closed. He stared at his translucent skin now basking in afterglow, with some silver threads clinging to his temple and forehead because of sweat. He found him so captivating and dazzling that he couldn't look away.

The pureblood reached to move some wet hair obstructing his view which clung to his lover's eyelids. His action made Zero open his eyes and turn to him, making them nose to nose. He smiled at the sexy picture of his hunter; with his lilac orbs dark with passion, half-lidded and exhausted from love making.

"Zero." He quietly uttered but not really wanting to say anything. He only wanted to call his name for no apparent reason.

The hunter hummed in response. He hadn't quite caught his breath yet. "What?"

Kaname was silent for a moment and only stared at his mate. He did not want to ruin the moment with words while he watched him. He smiled when Zero raised an inquiring eyebrow. He finally whispered in response, "I love you."

The suddenness surprised the silverette. He only stared and blushed before turning the opposite side. "Stupid bastard." He hissed. Really, such a romantic sap. His pureblood only chuckled at the expected reaction. Bastard, he really enjoys seeing me flustered!

The brunette reached out again. This time to force his lover to turn back to face him. Meeting him halfway, he lifted his upper body to hover over the prefect once again. "You should get used to it." It was all he decaled before lowering himself down and claiming his lips once again. Slender fingers in his silver hair, preparing to start driving them both to insanity once more.

It was already late into the night but it was just the middle of the day for a vampire like him. He didn't get an ounce of sleep for the whole day since he tangled himself with the ludicrous business of tailing their king and his family. He had been awake for almost 24 hours and he was extremely tired but he didn't think he'd be able to rest for he felt he was missing the most important piece of his being.

One Aido Hanabusa threaded the way back to the Academy blindly. He did not know when or how he was able to leave the theme park's premises and how he ended up in front of the Academy's gate at sun down. He didn't notice anything, not the people, time or surroundings. He only saw his face with his charming smile, bright lilac eyes and mesmerizing silver hair tied back in a ponytail. He groaned for the nth time.

He was exhausted.

He was tired and didn't have anything to do but he still didn't want to go back to the dorm. So, he instead took a walk inside the Academy's Forest to unwind and take in whatever peace of mind he could get though he believed it impossible.

He walked to nowhere in particular then sat down when he saw a large protruding root of an enormous tree. He rested his back on the bark to look up at the night sky and blindly watched the moon that was slightly hidden by the leaves of the tall trees. He closed his eyes to bask in the cool night breeze that slightly ruffled his golden tresses and kissed his bright white skin. It made him feel a little calmer when suddenly, he felt someone approaching. He immediately opened his startled aquamarine eyes when he smelled the sweet vanilla scent of his heart approaching. Sure enough, the rustling leaves of the bush shortly revealed the younger Kiryū twin, Ichiru.

Ichiru just got back after escorting his pretty date back to the Day Class female dormitory. He just wanted to take a walk to settle his downcast heart when he happened upon the sight of Aido-senpai. He was as startled as the blond currently looking at him with wide eyes. He inwardly groaned. He didn't want to see him this time. Why, of all the people he could meet in his innocent little walk, must it be this vampire? Heavens must be greatly taunting him, telling him what he was trying to do was futile.

Hanabusa watched him and his expression didn't escape his notice. Was that aversion? Distaste? Was that dislike that he could see in his lilac eyes? Why was he feeling disappointment at the sight of him? He instantly felt anger when he saw those feelings reflected in haunting silver-lavender orbs. He couldn't help it. He'd been feeling tormented by the silverette in front of him for the whole day and his expression just hurt him even further.

"Hey, you, isn't it rude to just go like that when it's obvious that you saw me?" The vampire aggressively started when the prefect made an attempt to go and ignore him as if he didn't see him and meet his eyes. As much as he wanted to hide the anger he'd been feeling, he couldn't. Without warning, it escaped uncontrollably, shaking the air around them.

The silverette stopped when he felt the sudden drop in the temperature and turned back to face the vampire in front who already stood up and was currently walking in his direction. He was taken aback when he saw the dark look at the normally cool and charming face of the blonde. It was so different from the glares the noble shared with his brother that he absentmindedly stepped backwards in fright. The younger Kiryū felt himself slightly panic when he noted a bark of a tree on his back. He suddenly felt like a prey being trapped by a beast. What the hell is wrong with him?

"Ah, gomen, senpai. I thought you didn't want to be disturbed." Ichiru tried to muster all his courage and masked the fear that suddenly filled him. He was a hunter as well, damn it! Though it was not official, still, he was a Kiryū. He shouldn't feel fear towards a vampire.

"Heh~? And here I thought it was deliberate. Sick of looking at a man after your beautiful date?" Hanabusa sneered. He didn't care if he just gave away the fact that he saw them at the park or if he sounded a lot like a jealous lover. He was just extremely pissed off.

"Huh?" Ichiru was seriously baffled. How did he even know about his date? "What are you saying senpai?" Confused amethysts looked up at the blonde slightly towering over him. Ugh, he hated how he seemed smaller than everyone else. He was puzzled why the normally charming blond was angry at him.

Hanabusa didn't say anything and simply continued to look at the younger man. His senses being clouded by several things at once. He was angry, jealous and downright pissed off but still he could feel overwhelming love and longing towards the fair creature in front of him. His enticing vanilla scent rapidly drugged his senses and the vampire felt himself lost on what to say next or where to direct their conversation.

The noble was only able to stare at Ichiru's enchanting lilac orbs. It clearly reflected his struggle to rally his fear and attempt to valiantly stand before him even. Unbeknownst to the prefect, his lovely eyes had already betrayed him by displaying his anxiety. Those orbs also captivated the seemingly intimidating predator with each passing second.

Hanabusa must have completely lost his mind for he did the one thing he was craving to do the whole time. His mind went blank and without explicit command by genius mind, his body moved to claim Ichiru's lips.

The kiss caught both of them off guard.

The vampire knew he should break it immediately and conjure some excuse no matter how lame it might sound like suddenly loosing strength that was why he accidentally bumped his lips to the silverette's or just simply saying he fell asleep on his feet. However, the moment he felt Ichiru's soft lips, all hell broke loose. He wasn't able to stop himself from delving his tongue to torridly kiss him, almost violently.

He wasn't able to stop himself from pushing Ichiru even harder against the tree. A slightly forceful hand grasped a handful of silver tresses to angle his head in a way that would allow him deepen the kiss easily while an arm pressed again the bark of the tree to balance both of their weight.

He was so lost that he belatedly noticed that Ichiru returned his actions with equal yearning…

The morning air that greeted his skin when he woke up was quite cold but he didn't even flinch. He'd been feeling very warm all over. The prefect hummed in satisfaction and tried to roll over the soft and smooth sheets. Silver hair tousled on the white pillows while supple body readied to stretch only to be stopped.

The hunter found that he couldn't move. Something or someone trapped his body. Lilac eyes languorously opened and the first thing he saw was a wave dark-brown locks. It was the top of his mate's head that snuggly rested his face on the nook of his neck. He could feel steady breath on his pulse while the vampire's body covered and warmed his.

It was then that Zero was attacked by the memories of last night's events. He blushed reflexively once the titillating happening rushed back. 'Ah' Was the only thought in response.

The silverette tried raising his left arm that had been trapped underneath Kaname's body to look at the simple red ring around his pinky finger. 'Well, that's it. Huh.'

Everything was settled and there was no going back. Not that he had any intention of doing so. He knew his heart had long been the pureblood's possession for some time already though he refused to admit it. He had given his answer and had already decided to be with this arrogant and infuriating vampire for the rest of his life.

He sighed. Though he might look ridiculous in the eyes of his kin, he couldn't come to regret the decision that allowed him to feel this person's warmth. Somehow, he believed he never would as he basked in his delicious heat and his scent. He inhaled the smell of combined old books and red roses which gave him a warm comfortable feeling. Long arms wrapped themselves around the sleeping figure. Slender fingers caressed dark tresses while another was on the small of the pureblood's back to press him closer. He sighed once again in resignation. Oh yeah, I'm crazy.

He turned his head to look at the window displaying the wonderful glow of the sun to ascertain the current time. He almost jumped when he saw that it was most likely late in the morning.

He needed to go back!

He really couldn't stand it if those fools found out that they had been right about him enjoying his day and night. He'd never hear the end of it. So, he carefully tried to slip from under his pureblood without waking him up only to have the arms wrapped around his body tighten possessively.

The brunette stirred and groaned while nuzzling his head on the sensitive part of his hunter's neck, slightly tickling Zero in the process, seemingly trying to find his lost, good spot again. "Zero, where are you going?" Kaname's voice, deep from sleep, stopped any more of his lover's sneaky attempts to get away.

"I'm going back." The silverette answered shortly while fighting the smile threatening to show with the high and mighty Vampire King acting like a spoiled brat. He marveled how, he never thought he'd use the word to describe ever, cute Kaname looked like with his actions of hugging him more tightly while placing his head snuggly at the base of his neck.

"No. Stay." Really acting like a spoiled brat, Zero mused.

"I can't. The Chairman will be looking for me. Get up." He urged without any of the normal annoyance he should have already felt. He tried to move away again by pushing Kaname's shoulders only to have his hands imprisoned and pinned above their heads. Lavander orbs widened in trepidation when the spoiled brat lifted himself up to properly face him.

"No." The Vampire King huskily repeated. Earlier sleepy burgundy eyes darkened by renewed passion bore on his mate's lilac orbs. Stubbornly refusing to let go, he was determined to detain his silver-haired lover. He didn't like the idea of his leaving him even for a while so proceeded in enticing his hunter by granting him the most scorching morning kiss he had ever provided. All the while, a beguiling hand began its intensive search yet again, resolved to send his lover on edge just like he did the night before.

The assertive hand traveled lower in a torturously slow fashion to savor the tantalizing heat of his beloved's skin. He reviewed the stunning curves he familiarized himself with last night.

Zero groaned and felt his body respond. He couldn't help but drown in the sensation once his pureblood took him to another maddening journey of hedonistic desire. The vampire successfully blew away all and any idea of going away. The silverette instinctively reached out to envelop his mate in his arms and to feel the warm body against his once his hands were liberated. He returned the ardent kiss with fervent need and mindlessly joined Kaname in intertwining their tongues to taste succulent, flavorful lips.

Both could feel their hearts began to race at once.

Kaname caught his hunter's moan when he found what he had been searching for and wrapped his long fingers around his lover's length and proceeded to stroking it. He felt his lover's grip on his brown locks tighten at the continuous torturous pace over the hard arousal.

He then broke their kiss to favor his pale white skin, tracing his lips on the line of his lover's tattoo and began sucking his tender neck to add more hickeys on the great collection he had already created last night. Persistent lips moved on to the pale chest to catch one of the taut pink nipples between his teeth before licking and sucking. Attentive ears loved the breathless groans his hunter produced.

The brunette quickened the pace of his strokes. He continued to tease the pale skin over his chest all the while enjoying the sound of his lover's pants. Unsurprisingly, his own member hardened, greedy to feel his heat around him again. With no clothes to obstruct him from accomplishing what he desired, he wasted no time in indulging himself in his hunter's heat. He positioned himself and held his lover's hips in place to enter him very, very slowly. His mate's natural lubrication aided him in sliding deeper down the tantalizing heat. Ardent sanguine orbs observed in fascination his hunter's struggle to muffle the deep moan that threatened to escape him at the vampire's deliberate torment.

It was still a bit uncomfortable but not as strongly as last night. His body opened for it had yet recovered from last night's intense activities. The silverette even found the pain a bit pleasurable much to his embarrassment. When violet eyes opened, dark with lust, it was to find his lover hovering over him with a seductive smirk playing on his face. His breathing equally labored.

"I'm afraid, I can't let you go" The pureblood huskily whispered, to which Zero merely sighed and groaned in resignation. Kaname lowered himself to give his mate another searing kiss to allow him time to adjust to his size. When he felt the nudge that begged him to continue, he immediately complied and ravished his beloved all over again. The amorous actions successfully made his mate's initial desire to escape disappear entirely.

Bastard. Zero groaned inwardly.

He only managed to get away after two hours from when he woke up. The bastard did everything in his power to detain him. He turned a shade of dark red once he remembered how his mate made love to him over and over until he was satisfied enough to finally allow him to go. That was, only after he promised to come back later on.

The hunter couldn't believe how clingy and possessive the one hailed as the Vampire King was but he was even more surprised that he found himself sighing in contentment and relief in his vampire's suffocating grasps. Argh, he really fell hard.

Once the scoundrel let go of his battered body, he immediately went home to the Chairman's abode. The hunter opted in to using the window to his room and clumsily climbed up even with the ache of his back throbbing painfully.

He took a quick shower and don fresh cloths. He wanted to sleep again after the vigorous morning exercise he had with Kaname but he stopped himself to show his face to the people of the household. After putting on a face that he greatly wished didn't betray him, he went down normally, walking as naturally as he could, as if he'd been in his room since last night and not burning the midnight oil making love with the pureblood.

He was a bit surprise when he noticed that they were still only having breakfast even though it was already ten in the morning. He approached Yuki and Ichiru that were both seated in the dining table, eating the Chairman's cooking absentmindedly. He frowned when he registered their faces deep in thought while chewing their food without words.

They didn't jump into the teasing or leering mood he was already expecting. It seemed like they didn't even notice him at all. He already seated himself in front of them yet they stared right through him. He supposed he was a bit relieved but he began to worry since they both looked far away, somewhere unreachable. He could almost see their souls leave their body before his very eyes.

"Ah, Son! Good morning! So, you already went down. Wait. When did you even came home? Were you here the whole time?" Greeted the Chairman who slightly frowned. He didn't hear the front door open though he was almost sure that his eldest son didn't come home. Was he only being lecherous then? He shook his head. Never mind. He could see that Zero looked much better and that was what's most important. He smiled when he noticed that more than feeling all better, he'd say he glowed. It pleased him to see life and color back to his son's face.

"None of your business." The silver hunter scoffed in an unaffected manner, inwardly sighing in relief. He believed that it sounded like him in his most natural and normal day. To finalize the distraction, he then motioned to the two dazed statues in front of him. "What happened to them?"

"Ah. I also don't know, Zero-kun. They've been like that since earlier. They went down late as well already wearing those looks. Do you think something happened?" Kaien asked, very worried. His confused hazel eyes trained on his two younger children.

The older hunter wondered if he should call on Wakaba-san later on to ask what happened to the little shopping spree with his princess but he doubted it had something to do with that. If they fought by any chance, then his little girl would be brooding. This expression, on the other hand, was not a gloomy one.

Hmmmm…. Lost? Confused?

What could have produced this dazed state? The same goes for Ichiru. He went on many dates before but it was the first time he wore this look after a date.

Hmmmmm… It couldn't be, right?

It was not a look one would normally have after they had gotten laid. No, no, no.

He shook his head. He was really being a lecherous old man. It made him wonder when was the last time he… ah, no, no, no… What was he thinking? He should worry about his children first. After thinking about that, he found himself wondering about the whereabouts of his raven-haired lover.

"You, don't you dare join them too." Zero's voice successfully shook his guardian's musings when the honey-haired Chairman began to slip on the same expression. What? Was it a new infectious disease?

"Ah? Ah, hahahaha!" The Chairman caught himself then it struck him. He took in the weird look of his dear children again. Of course! He couldn't believe he forgot about that expression.

The enlightened older man smiled and sighed. He felt little sad at the thought that his children were steadily growing to adults. He decided he wouldn't be too concerned about it. Worries of the heart, after all, were the only trouble one would enjoy to have. "They'll be fine. Breakfast, Zero-kun?"

The silverette skeptically looked at his guardian but asked nothing. He assumed that he must have found out what was the problem with these two. Since the Chairman didn't worry, he decided that there was no reason for him to be concerned as well. "No, thanks. I don't have a death wish." Was his answer to the Chairman's offer.

"Uwah! That's mean! Papa's hurt!" His guardian sobbed dramatically. Calloused hands were even placed across his chest, over the frilly pink apron, like a hurt damsel.

"Whatever. Move. I'm going to cook my own food." The hunter heartlessly replied. He ignored the pathetic excuse of an adult to go to the kitchen and make edible breakfast to give him strength for the day.

The heavenly creature on the bed stirred. Rolling to his stomach, the sheets covering him shuffled to reveal the smooth skin that would have made his admirers salivate to death. Kaname buried his face on the pillow his beloved used for the night to inhale the remaining addictive scent of night forest and creamy lavender that both calmed and excite his heart at the same time.

He softly groaned at the regret of letting his hunter go. He shouldn't have for he now greatly missed his warm body that fitted his perfectly. He sighed before getting up. It was pointless to linger on bed now that he was alone.

He went to the adjacent bathroom to take a quick bath and slipped on a pair of black pants and button up shirt. The stately figure proceeded out of his room but before he went down for breakfast, he continued to the opposite room across his to peek at his children and see if they were awake already. He found the room already empty and so he proceeded to the dining hall. He was greeted enthusiastically by the other Night Class student which he returned civilly as he made his way towards the children then having their breakfast together with his closest associates.

"Ohayou, Chichiue!" He was greeted by his little princes and princesses who all got up to give him a morning kiss on his cheeks.

"Good morning, Kaname-sama." Greeted the rest of the Night Class afterwards. They marveled at their leader's aura today. They noticed the glowing, blissful atmosphere that surrounded him. All were sure something good happened to him to have produced such an effect.

"Ah, Kaname, good morning! I hope you had a pleasant day yesterday?"

The Moon Dorm vice-president greeted him almost too brightly. The pureblood looked at him a bit oddly because of this. He knew Takuma was the cheerful sort but there was something amiss for he was not this bright normally. At least not to the point where his sunny aura almost blinded him.

Inquiring burgundy orbs slightly observed the other members of the Night Class to see if they had noted this change and found that it was not only Takuma who was a bit different from normal. He saw Hanabusa in such deep thoughts that he doubted he even noticed him entering the room. He also noticed that Senri was nowhere to be seen.

He was a bit concerned and wondered what could have happened after they had all went away. He kept his curiosity to himself, however, because even if they were his subjects, he respected their privacy. He wouldn't intrude just to satisfy himself. As such, the Vampire King merely returned the greetings and proceeded with breakfast after seating himself between his children. His youngest twin silverettes immediately sat on his lap.

"What are your plans for today?" Ichijou jovially asked once he was seated comfortably.

"Ah, there are some documents from the council that must be done." Kaname smiled apologetically to his children. He must finish the paperwork that the council adamantly sent him though he would much rather spend it with his lover and children.

"It's quite alright, chichiue. We understand. If you'd like though, we'd love to help! I worry you'll overwork yourself." The charming eldest offered.

Her last statement made the pureblood stare but he reminded himself that his children were extremely intelligent and were fully mature in thoughts.

"Akira might look useless at it but I assure you that he's quite capable. He even prides himself of his beautiful penmanship that I must admit is quite elegant in contrast to his poor conduct." Anne added before nonchalantly sipping her Earl Grey to which Akira cried indignantly.

He chuckled at Akira and Anne's banter and listened to the younger brunette accuse his elder sister of having a plain handwriting ("It's the content that matters!" was his daughter's defense). It seemed to be their everyday routine so he didn't scold them like he would normally do when some people were arguing. He could see that it was only meant to liven things up.

After a while, he asked them if they were ready with the preparation of entering the Night Class the following evening. This question managed to catch everyone else's attention. The young king was reminded that he had forgotten to inform his vice-president. Taking the given chance, he provided the specifics of what the children and the Chairman agreed to.

"Oh, how fantastic!" Takuma exclaimed cheerfully before stopping to wonder aloud. "But how?" He absentmindedly asked, obviously inquiring the method their little royals had that would enable all to appear grown up.

"We'll show you tomorrow, Takuji. We can't right now because it will only take effect for 12 hours." Anne energetically explained.

They smiled. It seemed that there'd be a show worth watching tomorrow. Breakfast soon continued on peacefully in the Moon Dorm. A hint of anticipation of the new addition spicing up the air.

"-ru! –chiru! Ichiru!"

All the poor young man heard was a large sound before he felt the thickening of his skin and register the inevitable pain. Clearly, his face just kissed a very solid wall.

"Ugh!" The younger silverette covered his nose with his hands. There didn't seem to be any bleeding, thank goodness, but it still felt so painful that he almost rolled on the floor. "Nii-san, why didn't tell me?!" He shouted while applying more pressure on his throbbing nose.

That pissed Zero off. He had been calling Ichiru since he saw him about to walk through the wall in an attempt to actually pass through it like some poltergeist. "Ah, gomen. I shouted at the wall to move but apparently, it won't budge." He responded sarcastically to which his twin groaned some more. "Why is your head up in the clouds anyway?"

"Nothing. My head is not up in the clouds." Ichiru responded in a defensive tone. A nervous hand rubbed his nose, his face became flushed for reasons other than the painful impact. "I'm… just…normal…fine…" He stammered as if he didn't know what to actually say.

"Are you saying that to me or to yourself?" Zero asked, now a tad more worried. Yuki and Ichiru had not yet recovered from whatever disease they caught. They had both been in the same dazed state since this morning. What the hell happened to them? At least Yuki didn't go about bumping on random innocent objects though she would stare in space then suddenly giggle out of the blue. It made him worry about her sanity instead of the furniture. "Did anything happen to you yesterday?" He saw Ichiru stiffen right before his very eyes at the question.

The younger silverette swallowed first before answering in the most unaffected way he could. "What could possibly happen to me, Nii-san? I'm fine! I'm good! How was your date by the way? Was it good?" Ichiru inquired all very fast. It seemed all the more unnatural which made the hunter frown even more.

"Ichiru, what happened to you? Spill it." Zero demanded.

"Nothing! Honestly!" He was beginning to panic a bit. He couldn't tell his brother what he himself didn't know. Indeed, what in the world happened last night?! "Come on, nii-san. You're being such a suspicious mother-hen." He followed that with a highly obvious fake laugh. "I need to do my homework. See you!" He hastily finished before sprinting up to his room.

"Wait, Ichiru!" Zero called in a futile attempt to stop his twin. He was extremely puzzled. He contemplated between grilling him for answers or waiting for him to open up. He sighed and hoped that it was nothing too big.

Once inside his room, Ichiru immediately locked his door. He was slightly panting at the effort of running. 'Shit! Shit! Shit!' He threw himself face first on his bed, muffling his groan on the sheets. What the hell was wrong with him? Could he be more obvious? Geez, what horrible acting.

He groaned again before rolling to face the ceiling. He stared blindly at the fluorescent lamp in his room but the only thing he saw was the wave of silky golden threads that adorned the head of a certain handsome blue-eyed vampire. He closed his eyes and still saw the same image, even more vividly. A despairing sigh escaped him. It seemed impossible to break away from his grasp.

He rummaged the memory of last night. Pale skin immediately flushed at the rush of warmth that filled his face. For the nth time, the young man cursed himself at his reflexive action. Why did he let himself be carried away? Why!? He just gave himself away entirely! He really wanted to die. Feeling very ashamed, he silently asked someone for the mercy burying his useless self in a hole.

He rolled on his side and opened his eyes before letting another sigh escaped. He felt like he wanted to cry but stopped himself. He refused to take pity on himself after feeling too pathetic already. He won't allow it. But it was really painful because of all the pranks Aido-senpai had to do, it would be to playfully kiss him. He was extremely pissed off but it was only short live for what he really felt was agony.

He was still for a moment.

When did it began? He looked back and pinpointed it to the very first time he saw him. His smug, confident and cool cerulean eyes, fair white skin and enchanting golden hair that shamed the sun. He had felt this way since he first laid his eyes on Aido Hanabusa; he had loved him since they first met.

He rolled on his stomach again to hide his face on his pillow. He recalled why in the world he had been in love with that bastard all this time.

Ah, yes. It was because he was greatly mesmerized by the noble. Not only by his charming looks, it was more because of his attitude and behavior. He fell in love with the assured, positive, fearless and vigorous way that particular vampire carried himself. He liked how Aido-senpai never seemed to be daunted no matter how many times he'd been struck and punished. He was persistent and zealous, energetic and sprightly and to him, who had always been so weak and pathetic, Aido Hanabusa was like the sun; brilliant and dazzling. It stunned and amazed the young, feeble him. Before he knew it, besotted amethysts were following the famed genius; his movement, his smiles and his gaze. That was why, he knew that Aido Hanabusa hated him.

He watched disgust and hatred filled those beautiful sapphire orbs during their younger years. It was for this very reason that he attempted to bury his feeling countless of times.

It was painful.

It was suffocating.

He dated many women just to find one that would enable him to forget him. All failed to move his heart. Maybe that was because it was no longer his to give, but that vampire's. Every time he'd feel like there could be something special with a girl he was seeing, one look at those beckoning sapphire gaze and he'd be won over once again. He was frustrated. It was like running in a never-ending loop.

The suffering seemed eternal.

Grrrrr! Oh hell! Why, of all the insidious jokes did he even do that?!His only consolation was that at least he was able to stop himself from confessing entirely… No… Wait… maybe wordlessly leaving after that, without even looking at him, was a dead giveaway.

He groaned again. He beat his innocent pillow in vexation. And now, the vampire knows! Why was he not able to stop himself from kissing him back?!

He sighed.

He couldn't help it. He had been dying to know how it was like to kiss him since a long time ago. Now, he was doomed! He dejectedly pushed himself up only to let himself come crashing back down. He just gave himself away. He muffled another groan on his pillow.

Then, he lay there, unmoving. Wondering if he could somehow stop his breathing before the next day came.

The royal princess watched the sun slowly but steadily descended, leaving dark shades of orange-gold and violet-blue colors in its wake. The temperature also dropped. The cool being carried in the air.

She walked sublimely, following a well-trodden path. The wind softly swept her long, dark, wavy hair together with the snow-white skirt of her dress. She was taking her 'morning' walk though it was already six in the afternoon. Not one of her kin would fault her for she was not wrong. It was indeed only early morning for a vampire like her.

Anne continued her stroll while humming one of her favorite solemn tunes while reddish-lavender eyes observed the changing color of the sky. It had always been her favorite pastime to take traipse while watching beautiful sceneries. Even though seeing the heavens change in color always saddened her a bit for it was proof of running time.

The enchanting seraph sighed, refusing to take pity on herself. She had long decided not to feel sorry for herself. She was blessed with many great things in life and pitying such lucky circumstances would be an insult to the less fortunate.

She stopped to take a deep breath and was surprised to inhale the scent of one of her favorite persons.

Her beloved.

Short but slender legs quickened the pace to immediately make way to the clearing. Sure enough, there he was, sleeping peacefully under a tree with an open book covering his face.

Anne halted to compose herself and will her heart to calm down in order to avoid making a spectacle of herself because of the excitement. For appearance's sake and to avoid startling the sleeping hunter, she proceeded to walk demurely.

Dark lavender stared once she came nearer. Instilled etiquette tried very hard to display only an impassive expression though she could feel her face betray her for a longing heart couldn't help but be affected. It was much too familiar, that scene. The sight of ash-brown hair swaying slightly beneath an open book whilst the man slept under a tree was something she had seen only too often. It squeezed her heart with nostalgia.

She stopped just beside his sleeping figure. Thoughtlessly bending down to reach him despite herself, a hand suddenly shot up to hold her wrist and stop the young vampire before she touched her goal. The frozen young princess watched the other hand remove the book covering his face to reveal a sleepy Takamiya Kaito.

"Nanda. It's just Zero's brat." Kaito let go of the captured hand and yawned before sitting up. "Wha'cha doing brat?" He rhetorically asked after stretching his upper body. "Oh, fuck. It's already this late? Shit. I haven't done my lesson plan." After clicking his tongue, he just waived it away. "Che. I'll just make up something tomorrow."

The hunter then finally turned to the small visitor. "So, what are you doing sneaking around, hmmm, Anne, right?" Hazel orbs observed the exquisite face of the quiet little girl before him.

When he saw her, he had to blink a few times for he initially thought he was seeing a babe, only to reveal a child. He inwardly groaned. He must have been too deprived as of late if he had seen a ghost of an enchanting woman's feature in her child-like face. It didn't help that she smelled so sweet. What was that fragrance called? He knew that smell but he forgot the name of that white flowering plant.

"Ah." Anne caught herself. She almost forgot it was her name he called for she was half-expecting or rather, waiting for him to call her by her name like he would normally do in her time. The princess straightened herself and smiled before giving him an answer, careful not to let the foolish sadness she was feeling to show. That she had been known by a stranger's name was no one's fault but her own. "I was just taking a short walk, Kaito-san."

"Heh~? Pretty late walk you're having, brat." He grinned.

"Not for me." She smiled meaningfully.

That broke his smile. "Ah, I forgot. You're a vampire. A pureblood. Tsk." He unintentionally growled. Frowning, he turned away to look at another part of the landscape.

Anne stiffened at his reaction, greatly hurt by it. She gathered from the last time they met that he had a deep hate for vampires she didn't know about. It perplexed her because even though she knew that it was the ingrained reaction of every hunter, like Toga-sensei in the past, she couldn't understand why he hated vampires so much.

The aversion seemed out of the ordinary. Based on what the two angelic silverettes told her about their encounter with him in the forest that day, the antipathy obviously targeted purebloods. The Kaito she knew didn't display such hate towards their family. His sarcastic and crass remarks would always be present but she knew that he'd simply always been like that.

She frowned, confused and baffled, unsure of what to do. She had been undecided on how to actually approach him and make herself agreeable. Now that there was even that hate to mend, she was even more lost.

Trembling hands gripped her skirt as the unbearable feeling of the fates laughing at the futility of her struggle filled her. All hopes seemingly vanished. An unheard taunt that her dream was too impossible resounded deep in her heart. It was telling her that destiny was sealed. Her future was unchangeable and his heart was permanently unattainable.

"Do you hate me, Kaito-san?" The princess asked before she could stop herself.

The pain in her voice made the ash-brown hunter turned back his head. Somehow, he found himself irritated at himself and the brat before him. He didn't like how beautiful she looked even with her downcast plum-colored orbs and quivering red lips but what caught his attention the most was that look in her eyes; it was the gaze of a woman.

He stopped himself at that alarming thought. Woah! Don't go there, buddy. You wouldn't want your ass to land in jail! He let out a harsh breath then he reached out to ruffle her dark hair to which she looked up, surprised at his action. He grinned at her stunning round lavender eyes and casually responded. "Nah. Mesmerized amethysts stared at his expression, unable to utter anything in reply for wistful memories attacked her hapless heart at his action. It was all so familiar to her.

It was always how he reacted.

It was with that exact same expression, with the same grin, same tone and the same look in his eyes that he'd calm and assure her.

She was happy though she felt like crying instead. She watched the cherished being whom she never attained, proven to have remained unchanged all through the years despite being so different from what she remembered. His core and the most important piece that was his heart remained to be something she'd forever desire. It ached for she knew it was not her that held that treasure but the woman whose name she took.

It pierced her heart.

It was painful.

It was suffocating.

It hurt so much she couldn't breathe.

The little royal tried to rally her emotions but the strong reminder of her wish choked her. She thought she hid it all cleverly behind the mask she had mastered constructing all through the years. What she didn't know was that the young hunter saw her agony though he didn't know the reason which worried him.

What? Wasn't that counted as comforting? Fuck. She'll cry. "Hey, bra-," Before the slightly flustered hunter could utter another word, another hunter interrupted.

"Anne?" Zero was walking towards the Moon Dorm to see the children when he felt his eldest nearby.

When her otou-chan's voice came to her, it instantly made her feel light. It had always been a comfort every time she felt the pain in her heart. "Otou-chan!" She exclaimed before running to Zero and immediately hugging his waist. Without noticing herself trembling a bit, childish arms tightened in an attempt to fight against crying miserably.

The silverette hunter noticed all of this and immediately jumped to the conclusion that she was terrorized by the crass ash-brown haired hunter. "What the hell did you do, Kaito?" He glowered, seriously pissed off at the man who dared harass his daughter.

"Wha? I didn't do anything!" Kaito felt so wronged when he was just as confused and clueless at the child's reaction. Did his earlier action of turning away hurt her that much?

"No, otou-chan. Kaito-san didn't do anything." The princess defended while shaking her head. Her voice was a bit muffled for she didn't trust herself not to cry if she lifted her face. Not when the person who always made her feel light, her otou-chan, her forever ally, was there.

Zero still frowned and was still pissed as hell at Kaito though he didn't pursue the subject any longer. It was obvious that something happened or his daughter wouldn't be acting like that. "Fine. Let's go." He said after throwing Kaito one last glare.

When Anne merely nodded but didn't let go, the young parent proceeded to carry her in his arms. He thought that she'd protest but she even wrapped her arms around Zero and hid her face between his neck and shoulder. Yup, something definitely happened and if Kaito really caused this, he'd make sure to kick his ass later.

The younger hunter only threw one last glance at the older one who was looking at his child quizzically, honestly confused regarding all that just passed.

As the silver hunter made his way to the Moon Dormitory, after a long silence, he finally asked. "What happened? Did Kaito say anything to you?" Zero felt his daughter shake her head but he was all the more unconvinced. "Anne, tell me. Because if he did anything to you, I swear-,"

"No, otou-chan. Believe me. Really, Kaito-san didn't do anything. I swear. It's… it's me." The child confessed, finally emerging from her hiding place. Darker lavender looked at her daddy's lighter ones to assure him.

"Then, why does it look like you're about to cry?" Zero asked. He was getting increasingly worried since he saw shadows of unshed tears in her weary plum orbs.

She wasn't able to answer it immediately. "No… it's really just me, otou-chan… it's no one's fault…" She began while hugging his neck tightly once more. "It's just hard for a woman's heart," She continued softly after a long pause, "to be trapped in a child's body…"

The hunter stopped moving to process what had just been said.

What? What? What the fuck?

He was stunned when he understood what she meant. Then, after a few moments, he finally managed to ask. "Seriously, Anne. Kaito? Are you sure?" He was almost certain that his daughter was tricked at some point. How did it even come to that!?

And when his beloved daughter looked at him again with her furiously flushed face, shy smile and embarrassed but bright violet orbs silently telling him that she was serious, that she indeed loved him, and that she has found the only man she'd ever want, the world stood still before it finally came crashing down on him at an unbelievable speed.

He suddenly wanted to kick and beat up that jerk Kaito.

But why him? The silverette was incredulous. One look and anyone would be able to tell that his daughter was perfect in every way. Whereas compared to the crude and indelicate bastard that Kaito was… granted, he was one of best damn hunter in the association. He was easy on the eyes and with a good head on his shoulder, still, he somehow couldn't accept it. Maybe he should do something…

Zero was seriously contemplating never letting the asshole see his child ever or just plainly burying him alive when Anne spoke again.

"Otou-chan," The little princess expressed in a very gentle voice that was begging to be heard. "Kaito-san is one of the most outstanding men I've ever met. I know that you know he's a good person."

She smiled and it stunned him how womanly his little girl could look. He stared in her eyes that were overflowing with sincerity. His heart somehow sank at the thought of another man in her heart but he knew she was right. Kaito may be a crass bastard but he was a decent and good guy… though it was not really enough to appease the raging storm inside him.

He'd make sure that bastard would see hell first before he gets his eldest daughter. He wouldn't give his princess without a fight. He sighed.

"Kaname will not be happy." He dejectedly replied. He finally got why some men didn't want to have daughters… because no matter how much they treasured their little girls, in the end, they'd still choose another man over them.

The little seraph giggled. "In the future, you both know this already. You'll be fine, otou-chan. Know that no man will replace you and chichiue in my heart. I love you." She hugged him again.

'Ah.' He was defeated. He sighed again while hugging her back, wishing very much that she'd not grow up too fast.

"Ah, Joō-sama, good evening." Beamed the energetic vice-president when he saw their liege's mate enter the Moon Dorm with their little princess.

The hunter was taken aback by the greeting. There were a lot of things wrong in that short welcome. Surely, any violent reaction was expected. Joō-sama? Joō-sama?! The fuck? "Ichijou-senpai, don't call me that." Zero gritted in response. Pale cheeks slightly colored while hands trembled at the valiant attempt to not summon Bloody Rose.

"But you're Kaname's mate. In the future, you'll be his husband and so will be the king's consort." While he knew that the hunter would react as such, Takuma couldn't help but clarify. Never it be said that someone from their noble Ichijou lineage ever disrespected the Vampire King's mate.

The response was said matter-of-factly and without any hint of mockery but that didn't prevent Zero from developing a full-blown blush. "What the hell?!" He finally roared. Despite his attempt at calm due to his daughter's presence, his voice still became much louder than he intended to hide his embarrassment.

Ichijou merely chuckled at his display of stubbornness and Anne watched amuse at her otou-chan while fighting the urge to say 'but uncle is right'. Their otou-chan would really be their chichiue's Royal Consort. She tactfully held her tongue. It might be too much for her poor blushing father to bear.

"Ah, gomen, gomen. Should I call you Zero-sama then? Will that suit you?" Ichijou just asked indulgently, already guiding the pair towards the stairs and up the president's room.

"Whatever." Zero turned away, unable to continue the topic despite his dissatisfaction. His face still resembled an overripe tomato much to his chagrin.

Ichijou led them to Kaname's study which opened soundlessly right at the moment they reached it. They entered and were greeted by the sight of three brunettes doing what looked like mountains upon mountains of documents.

All three looked up when they entered. Kaname's smile was almost too captivating at the sight of his hunter while Kohaku's was with ease. Akira jumped violently.

"Ah, nee-chan! Where have you been? I thought we'll help chichiue? You suddenly disappeared and left all the work to us!" He whined.

"Oh, please, dear Akira. Don't complain when you're doing something as noble as helping chichiue. It's unsightly." She answered coolly and guiltlessly. "And I did intend to help. I just took my daily walk before I did." She added before smiling sweetly. Akira looked at her suspiciously before pouting. "Maa, maa. Look, I've even asked the cook for some tea, biscuits and cakes for snacks later on." She offered in appeasement.

"You're the best sister in the world!" Akira took the bait very easily and jumped to hug his once again dear sister.

Zero, Kaname and Ichijou smiled at Akira hugging his sister who patted his head while shaking at his naivety with an 'oh-how-easy' expression. "So, what else is left of the work? I'll do the rest so you two may relax."

"Don't worry about it, nee-chan. We're actually finished already. We're just putting these in envelopes so that it can be sent out." Kohaku spoke while folding another letter to be put inside an envelope. Once, their chichiue closed all with a wax seal bearing the royal crest, all would be done.

"Eh?! You're already finished?" Ichijou was seriously amazed. He knew that it was days' worth of work that they intended to finish.

"I was also impressed at how well they did the tasks. They clearly have experience in dealing with council matters as well as imperial work." Kaname agreed. Pride for his children's abilities and intelligence suffused in his voice.

"Hehe, of course! We've been taught well!" Akira beamed, always very happy with the praise. Kohaku and Anne merely nodded.

"Ah, I knew I didn't make any mistake when I volunteered you, my dear Akira." The eldest of the three praised while dramatically wiping away imaginary tears. "I'm proud of you, my darling brother. I shall rest easy every time you do the work as I know it will be a job well done."

Akira was nodding without really thinking and when it finally registered to him what his sister had been trying to imply. He immediately stopped and voiced his protest. "Hey, you'll just make me do all the work!"

"Nonsense. Who said you'd be alone? Of course not. You'll always have Kohaku with you." She declared with such a serene face devoid of any guilt as if honestly baffled by his accusation.

"Nee-chan!" Akira whined while Kohaku merely sighed.

"I'm just kidding, brother dear. You should know I'll always help you." She laughed while pinching her boisterous brother's cheek. "Come, let me help you so we can come down for tea." She joined her two brothers at the center table of the study where they were doing their work.

"I shall ask the cook for those treats." Ichijou cheerfully proposed and smiled jovially before going to down to the kitchen.

When they were left alone with the children, the hunter grumbled in a low voice.

"You slave-driver." Zero whispered without looking at his mate. He could feel more than see the smile on his annoyingly handsome face.

"Ah, aren't we fortunate to have such lovely children?" The pureblood whispered back once beside his lover who was then watching their children. A hand instinctively placed on the hunter's narrow waist and his head rested on his shoulder as if it was the most natural thing in the world. "And may I inquire as to why you came only now?"

Zero tried his hardest not to blush at Kaname's show of affection. He answered in a whisper in order to be unheard by the little ones and in a tone that he hoped sounded like his natural sarcastic self. "I took a long nap since a bastard tired me out."

"Hmm. Then I take it you have enough energy for later?" Kaname felt his hunter tensed once he understood the implied request. Though it was said lightly, he was being quite serious.

"Insatiable bastard." Zero hissed which Kaname returned with a chuckle.

The door to the study suddenly opened to reveal the two newly awakened silverette twin. Suiren was rubbing an eye while holding on to Naoto's hand who led her there.

"Otou-chan!"

Zero was immediately greeted and tackled by their youngest. They both tugged on his pants in a silent request to be carried which the hunter immediately complied.

"They've been waiting for you to come when they fell asleep." Informed the brunette with a fond smile.

The two requested to see their otou-chan but since he had work to do and without anyone to accompany them, he asked for them to wait patiently for the hunter. Both grudgingly nodded while pouting.

The sought-after silverette merely hummed in understanding. He found it sweet that they were being very clingy to him. He knew vampire children were very attached to their parents as children for they were the ones who first fed them blood and protected them from any harm.

He inhaled the twin's comforting scent and thought that he wouldn't be able to avoid frequent trip to the Moon Dorm. He looked at his lover watching him. Genuine delight as well as mischievous glint could be seen in his dark burgundy eyes. The hunter couldn't help but roll his eyes at this. Whatever. He knew he wouldn't be able to escape anyway.

"We're finished, father! We put it on your desk to be sealed then it can be sent out directly." Anne announced happily. "So, shall we go for tea?" She asked and took the two silverettes.

The eldest child chirpily led all her siblings down to the lounge, listening with a smile to their petition of additional pudding, ice cream and other pastries to their snacks. "Alright, alright. We'll be going first, otou-chan, chichiue. Additional orders had been set for the kitchen!" She seemingly turned back to her siblings and added, "Seriously, you three, do you know that it's not the palace kitchen? We should be modest!"

Kaname smiled at the wonderful timing. He had a feeling that Anne deliberately led the young ones away to provide them privacy. "My, what a matchmaker."

"She apparently got your romantic nonsense." Zero grumbled, also concluding the same, and did not look at the brunette who was left with him. He was about to step out when the door suddenly closed with a soft thud. He sighed. He internally cursed at his weakness. Even with the exhaustion deep in his bones, he still felt a rush of anticipation. Damn it. He willed his racing heart to slow down for he knew what was coming. When Kaname next spoke, he felt his breath on his nape.

"I can't be more thankful for that." The pureblood whispered in a deep voice that he knew sent wonderful shivers down his hunter's spine. He wrapped his arms around his lover from the back and pressed his chest closer to Zero's back. A smooth hand gripped the chiseled jawline to gently guide the hunter to a kiss that was anything but soft.

The endearment was torrid and possessive. It felt like it had been years since the vampire last touched his petulant lover if judged by the thirst that filled his very being.

The silverette was right.

He was insatiable

He was greedy and selfish towards everything about his mate. Kaname was sure for his desires only became even greater at the feel of his mate's delectable warmth and weight. The unquenchable thirst made him gluttonous the more he tasted. He must be steadily becoming insane but he welcomed the madness. He never felt more alive than in the arms of his stubborn lover.

The brunette dove his tongue even deeper, leaving no place in his silverette's mouth unexplored. He savored the rich, delicious taste of those tempting lips while his hand moved to explore his body, greedy for the much yearned for heat.

When the hunter felt his pureblood's hand travel southward, he immediately caught his lover's hand. He struggled to break the passionate and sensuous kiss to have his voice heard. It was ragged by the time he finally got the chance to remind him. "Tea…"

"I know…" Despite the response, insistent tongue still delved deeper to taste his lover's luscious flavor. "Don't worry… I'll wait later… for the… main course." He finished in between kisses. He continued on for a few more moments, finding it hard to honor his words. The lovely creature in his embrace tempted him even as he stood there, still and unmoving. He didn't know what was it about Zero that seduced him until he was nothing but a fool. He only found that he loved the feeling of having this man in his arms.

It took a while before the couple was able to stop and it took a while more before their bodies calmed down.

Kaname reined his craving and closed his eyes, angling his body to lean his forehead on Zero's whose eyes were also closed. Their breaths mingled from their slightly parted lips.

"You had better inform the Chairman because I won't let you go even when morning comes." The Vampire King fiercely vowed. He had no intention to sever himself from his lover for a foreseeable future.

"You really are a demanding bastard." Zero heartlessly complained even though the sweet warning made his heart tremble in anticipation of his dark promise.

The brunette chuckled. "I am but only to you." After a quick peck, he finally let go only to take a pale hand in his. The vampire was still smiling at the fact that the normally prickly silverette didn't take back his hand when they went downstairs to join the others.

By the time they arrived at the lounge, all treats had already been half-eaten but they didn't mind. They'd tasted far sweeter things and anticipated something even more so for later.
