Next morning after his first good nights sleep in four weeks , Walter was down in the garage by 9.00am . But now he could not settle , his mind was in turmoil with thoughts that after yesterday , would Paige change her mind and not come back today . He sat at his desk , his fingers drumming on the top . Then he would get up and walk round to Paige's old desk and sit on her old chair , but that bought back memories of that night four weeks ago , so he got up again and began pacing around the garage , checking his watch every few minutes . The closer it got to 9.30am . the more certain he became that Paige was not going to come .
He was just getting ready to go upstairs , when the garage door opened and in walked Paige a big smile on her face , carrying a large brown paper bag . As soon as she saw Walter , her pace quickened , she put the bag on her old desk and almost ran at Walter , put her arms around his neck and pulled his head towards her so she could plant a kiss on his lips . It was almost five minutes before they broke the kiss .
Walter looked a little guilty as he looked her straight in the eyes . " Thank you for coming back , i thought you may change your mind once you had sometime to think about our new situation . "
Paige released him from the hug and took hold of both of his hands . " My darling Walter , i promise , double scoop , that i am happier today than the first time when face to face you told me you loved me at Happy's wedding . I would have been earlier but i stopped to get us breakfast sandwiches and coffee , so can we sit down and have breakfast , before we start work . "
Walter with a big grin on his face . " I think i would enjoy that . "
They moved into the kitchen , once Paige had picked the brown paper bag up . They stayed in the kitchen for over forty minutes , enjoying the sandwiches and drinking the coffee and just talking and sharing an occasional kiss .
Eventually Paige said . " I think it is time we should start some work , so we can get you moved into the condo ."
" I would really prefer to just stay like this , but i suppose you are correct . My first job will have to be to cancel my air ticket , i hope i can get a refund . " Replied Walter with a smirk on his face .
" Come on , you do that first , i think then we should try to rent a storage unit . Do you know what you will be keeping , so we know what size to rent . " Paige asked him .
" if the aim is to start our company , we will need to take at least three desks and chairs . Also all the computers and spares to them , plus the filing cabinets . " Replied Walter
Walter picked up his computer and went onto the website he had booked his flight . He cancelled his flight and got a message back , that it was less than 10 days he would be charged a 20% cancellation fee . He had no real reason to object to the charge as he accepted it as it was part of the conditions on the contract .
Paige was on another laptop , checking out Storage sites in the vicinity of the garage . She found a couple of sites and once Walter had finished on the computer she leaned back in her chair .
" I have found a couple of companies , not that far away from here . Would you like to visit them both and see which is the best ? "
Walter smiled at her . " Let me come with you to pick up Ralph and the three of us can go together to check them out . "
Paige smiled back at him " I think that would be a good idea . "
They spent the next ten minutes deciding what they should do with regard to Walter moving in with her and Ralph .
Walter suggested they could share a bed ,but following what was said that night they walked out on him he said no sex for a few days .
Paige looked at him and pouted . Well if that is what you think , i guess i will have to accept it . "
" Well you did tell me i did not satisfy you , i am just wondering if i need to do a little more research into my technique in bed so i can satisfy you . "
Paige's face fell . " I have already told you what i think about your sexual prowess , so no you don't need any more research , you take me to places i have never been taken before . I only said that to hurt you , i was such a bitch that night . I cannot wait to feel your hands over my body and your mouth and fingers , doing their magic , but most of all i need to feel you inside me again . Because once you do , i will know i have regained your love and forgiveness . "
Walter sat silent for a few minutes going over what Paige had just told him . " But if that is true why did you say that i don't satisfy you ?" Walter asked .
Paige with a sad face looked him straight in the eye . " Because i thought i did not satisfy you and my mind thought you were going to dump me , so i got in first . " A tear started to run down her cheek .
Walter stood up and walked over to her knelt down and gently wiped the tears away from her cheek . " Please do not cry , i hate to see you cry now you have told me that , it as boosted my ego on that aspect of our relationship that i do satisfy you , " A big grin coming on his face .
" Do you think you may reconsider the bedroom situation . " Paige asked a cute smile on her face
" But what about Ralph , you know how loud you can get at times . " Walter asked this time his face more serious .
Paige giggled and pulled his face towards her and planted a kiss . " I will have to remember to be quiet when Ralph is around . But he is not around now and i did really like your bed better . "
Paige's eyes went up to the loft . Before Walter could answer there was a knock on the garage door . Both Walter and Paige broke into a laugh .
" May be later . " Paige said with a smile on her face .
Walter looked at her with a serious look on his face . " Not maybe , definitely . " Walter said before his face broke out in a big grin again .
" I will keep you to that promise once we find out who is at the door . " Paige replied as she gave him a quick kiss and made her way to the door .
She opened the door and took a step back when she saw who was standing there . " Sly I did not expect to see you here . "
Sly looked down at the floor and was rubbing his hands together . After a stuttering start he just about managed to say . " Do you think Walter would be willing to speak to me ? "
Paige smiled and turned to look into the garage . " Walter , it is Sly , he would like to know if he could to speak to you . " She shouted to Walter .
" Of course , as long he is going to be civil . " Walter replied , still standing by Paige's old desk .
Paige turned back to Sly . " Well you heard what he said . "
Sly nodded and muttered . " Yes, I think I need to eat crow , to get any sort of acceptance from Walter not for just what happened and said before I walked out on him , but for all the dark thoughts I have been having about him since that night . "
Paige looked at him with no real emotion on her face . " Then you had better come in and talk to him . "
Sly his head still bowed down , slowly followed Paige . By now Walter had sat down at his desk .
Sly reached him , Paige went to sit at her old desk , a smile on her face .
" Good morning Sylvester , what can I do for you today ? " A very professional Walter asked .
Sly just stood there not saying anything . Walter was prepared to wait because like him Sly would ponder at times before answering a question .
Sly gave a small cough . " I am sorry Walter you are my brother , my behaviour the night we walked out on you , was totally unacceptable . I put my hands on you , that was disrespectful and I am sure if Megan was watching down on us that night she would have been most disappointed with my behaviour , and to suggest that you made Florence fall in love with you was so stupid as was my behaviour yesterday , when I first saw you . I am sure we can never be brothers the way we were before , but in Megan's memory I have to apologise to you . "
Walter sat there his facial expression not changing for a least a minute . Eventually he put his hands together in a steeple . " I accept your apologue and I must apologise to you for calling you a child that night , I know just how much you have grown since the first time I met you in that hotel bedroom . However for you to even think I could make Florence fall in love with me , when you were well aware that Paige was and still is the only woman in the whole world I could ever love and let into my life in that way . I wish you well with Centipede Partners and that all works out for you . "
Sly looked shocked and began twisting his hands . " B, bu, but I thought we could come back to Scorpion and become like the old team again . "
Walter just sat there for a minute in silence , Paige got up from her chair and walked behind him and put her hands on his shoulders .
" As I said as I walked out of Bryson's office the Cyclone is broken . Up until yesterday I was flying back to Ireland next week , that was until Paige and Ralph came back into my life . Paige as agreed to marry me . "
As he said that Paige removed her left hand from Walter's shoulder and showed the ring to Sly . Before Sly could say anything Walter carried on speaking .
" Any way I need a job , my initial thought was to ask Richard for a job , but Ralph had other ideas after discussing it with Paige , it was decided to set up a computer repair store ,also building websites or improving existing ones , with Paige and Ralph as partners in the company . Although I did not want to use the name Scorpion again both Paige and Ralph persuaded me to use it as part of the new company's name . Until Ralph finishes school next year and joins us on a permanent basis , we will not be bidding for coding jobs unless it is of real interest to me .
Sly was completely downcast . " Will you be applying the non-competition clause on our last contracts we signed when we were at Scorpion ? "
Walter steepled his fingers again and stared at Sly , it took him over a minute before answering . " That is an interesting question , while Paige was working there , I most certainly would not have done .However now you have lost your safety net , I may have to rethink the whole situation . "
Sly looked shocked . " But were would that that leave us . "
Walter remained silent for a minute . " In the same position you left me when you all walked out on me . " His voice calm .
" But you have forgiven Paige . " Sly answered .
" That is not correct , Paige as forgiven me , I lied to her , although it was a lie by omission , I did nothing to you , Toby , or Happy , except rescue you all from being left as unemployable people . Both you and Toby I actually saved your lives . Yes I admit i can be hard to work for , I expect everyone to be as quick thinking as I am , although since Paige came into all our lives four years ago she as changed all of us , some more than others . I am sure if not for Paige you would never have gone with my sister . Toby and Happy would still be dancing around each other and I know for certain , I would most likely been an imbittered man , living a very lonely life , she bought something out of me that I never knew I had and that was true love . I loved Megan , but that is nothing like the love I have for Paige and Ralph . The first time I saw him sitting at the counter of the diner were Paige worked . So yes I have taken Paige back with open arms and she as forgiven me . "
At that he got up and moved to Paige and put his arm around her , he then began speaking again . " But due to what Paige as taught me over the last four years, I won't be implementing the noncompetition clause against C.P. ,as I said earlier I wish you well with your endeavour . But I feel that you will not last six months , I hope I am wrong . "
Paige leaned into him . " That was so well said , I am so proud of you . " Then kissed him on the cheek .
Sly let out a big sigh . " I guess that is it , I would reiterate that I am sorry . "
Paige looked at him . " How did you get here ? "
" Oh Happy bought me ,she is sitting in her pickup , because Walter said we could come over and see him ,but not all together . Before you ask Toby said he would not come over , you should go to him and apologise . " Sly Told him .
Walter let out a sinical laugh . " So Toby as still not changed , I am sure his ego is greater than his I.Q. . Well if he waits for me to come over to him to apologise , for what I have done to wrong him , that is apart from taking incorrect and confusing information from him , that was the actual cause for the breakup of Scorpion , it will be a cold day in hell . "
Sly's face showed total confusion , Walter just smiled and said nothing .
Paige smiled at Sly . " It is true , well at least partially . When Walter asked Toby for advice , Toby in his own special way decided to play with Walter's mind , something he as been doing with mine as well . Especially since he felt that Walter tried to kill him when he switched the oxygen off in the computer room in Richard Eli's building in order to stop a fire damaging the computers , so he could save you and the rest of the people in that building . He is also jealous of what Walter is capable of . "
Sly let out a sigh . " Well I can understand that , I could see how he was trying to be Walter at Centipede , but he just does not have the ability . So I think what Walter said about us being closed within six months will most probably be correct . At the end of the day Toby does not really contribute that much to what C.P. can actually bid for . Now that Paige is no longer with us , I cannot see us getting many jobs , Toby thinks we can we can just use a temp agency to replace Paige , that is how much his ego as grown.
Walter looked at Sly , some sadness in his face " I am sorry Sly , but as far as I am concerned as I said earlier the Scorpion Cyclone is broken , once broken it cannot be repaired . A new Cyclone needs to be created which is what we have done . Until Ralph leaves school , it will concentrate on computer repairs and building web sites for new and old customers , which is what I originally meant to do when I first started Scorpion over ten years ago . So unless I see a coding job that really interest me , we will not be bidding for any others . So if you are prepared to bid at reasonable prices and be able to do a presentation to a customer without antagonising them ,you could do well . "
Sly a small smile on his face . " Then I guess we had better not let Toby do any of the presentations .
Both Paige and Walter smiled at him , Paige spoke to him . " We both wish you well . "
Walter looked at Sly before saying anything . " Would you excuse us a moment , while I speak to Paige in private ? "
Sly nodded his head .
Walter led a somewhat confused Paige into the kitchen .
" Why the secrecy ? " Paige whispered to him .
" I want to put a business idea to you . " A smiling Walter told her .
" Please tell . " Paige said before stealing a quick kiss .
" Well it is just a thought , but how about if we offer your services to present C.P. bids , I don't mean help them work it out or anything like that . Just be the face at any presentation for say 5% of any successful bids , unsuccessful bids a daily rate of $100 . I suppose I should talk it over more with you , before we suggest it to C.P. "
" Paige stood there for a moment , not saying anything and her face not giving away any clues . " If you think they would be agreeable to it , I think it is a brilliant idea . It would mean I could contribute to the new Scorpion as well , lets go back and see Sly . " Paige told him a big smile on her face .
They both headed back to Sly .
" Sorry about that Sly , but I needed to clear something with Paige before I put a proposition to you , I know you cannot answer it on your own as it as to have a majority vote , before anyone at C. P . can make a decision . If you would like Happy to hear now , you can call her then you both can talk it over with Toby . "
Sly looked at them both . " I am intrigued , so I will call Happy . " He pulled is phone out and called Happy , once she answered he asked her to come in .
Happy was in the garage within a minute and immediately went to Walter and hugged him , then hugged Paige and saw the ring on Paige's finger .
" It's about time . Congratulations . "
Happy went to stand next to Sly .
Paige looked at them both , a small smile on her face . " We have explained to Sly that we are not going to apply the non-competition clause , because once the cyclone is broken it cannot be fixed . Walter , Ralph and myself will be setting up a company to repair computers and build websites , maybe in the future we will be competing for coding jobs , but not as the main part of the company's business . However , Walter as proposed that if you would like , until you have found someone to do your presentations . That I could do the presentations for you . There would of course be a fee , 5% of any successful bid , a one off payment of $100 if the bid is unsuccessful . It is just an idea , so go away and talk it over with Toby . But do not expect Walter to come over and apologise to Toby . However this offer is open if Toby does or not apologise to Walter , as all dealings will be through me . "
Happy looked at Sly . " No pressure and no Toby trying to bully you into accepting what he wants . What do you think of the offer ? "
" I think it is a good idea , but it would mean we would need to increase our prices by 7.5% at least to cover a 5% commission . But personally I believe we should really increase by a minimum of 33% on any other bids , so we can start making some sort of a profit , that gives us a decent pay at the end of the job .Toby is trying to run the company as a dictator and when you consider the amount of work he does on any of our jobs or in the preparation of any of the bids , things have got to change . He can no longer just sit or lie down on the sofa reading medical journals and the such . " Sly finished with a smile back on his face .
Happy smiled . " Well I like all those ideas so I think Toby is already out voted . "
Paige smiled back . " Well I still think you need to speak to Toby . We will be moving everything out of the garage over the next couple of weeks , into storage until we can find a suitable office /workshop . So I suggest you go back to your office , sorry spare room and think about the whole thing and get back to me after you come to a final decision . "
While Paige had been speaking Walter had moved away from her and gone over to his desk and removed two large manilla envelopes from his desk drawer . Walked back to stand by Paige .
Once she had finished talking , Walter handed one envelope to Sly and one to Happy . " I had intended to post these before I left for Ireland , but as you are here now and I am stopping in the States you may as well have them now . "
Happy was first to speak " What are they ? "
Walter shrugged his shoulders . " Open them and see . "
Sly and Happy looked at each other at one another . Then opened them together and pulled out sheets of paper .
" This is my plans for the hoist . " Happy said .
" Mine is for the water filter. " Sly said .
" Why are you giving these to us for after we walked out on you ? " A confused Happy asked .
" You designed them and I have no use for them , you could maybe sell them and maybe get more capital behind you company . " Walter explained .
Happy with sadness all over her face . " I would rather we were coming back to work with you and Paige as it used to be . "
Walter with no emotion at all in his voice or face replied . " How long before you walked out on me again , because I did not listen to you , or I made someone fall in love with me ." He looked across at Paige . " As if I did or even could , not when the love of my life will I hope soon be my wife .
Paige smiled back at him . " The soon the better . "

Champagn42 As Walter is now the holder of any shares in Scorpion , the only difficulty will be the forms they will need to fill in to actually create the new partnership and as long as no one else has registered the name , no problems .

Grykon Thank you ,still have some problems with windows 11 but they are my own fault , it only took me 8 years to get used to windows 10 . Toby is still going to be trouble but he will explain why soon , but he will still be a pain .
DaToad Thank you , you are correct with regard to Sly and Megan . one thing I never understood about Sly / Flo was at the end of penultimate episode Paige had two badly gashed hands and Sly told Cabe the next time Flo came into the garage he was going to ask her out . Yet it took until the end of the last episode to that to happen , by which time Paige's hands were completely recovered at least two weeks would have been needed for them to recover , as she seemed to be popping in all the time it just seemed to long . With regard to 170 well lets wait and see .
LouBe96 Thank you , yes computer problems but the annoying thing is the computer was only 3 months old . With regard to C.P Toby and Happy never can be bothered with little things like that .
