Chapter 2: Future Glow

After the duel at the tournament had ended and she was awarded the prize of 2 rare cards and a check for 5,000 dollars, Amber returned home to a small city outside of Nashville called Liberton. It was a small city, but much more peaceful then the Windy ever was. He had a younger brother he was playing on his computer that had Windows 20 on it (The most recent Windows operating system at the current time) there and he was playing a classic game by the name of Minecraft on it and focusing more on it and he didn't notice his older brother and friend walking into their house. Amber's best guy friend was Kyle Scott, a friend of hers since both were in Elementary School and he was the same age as her (19) and both were in their Junior year of high school. Kyle's parents had dropped her off at the house with Kyle as well and were waiting outside for him.
Kyle laughed and replied, "That was the best duel I ever seen you won, girl! You won it with no trouble at all!"
She nodded and resumed, "That was a hard to beat Fire deck, but I can't believe I managed to take that snobby brat down."
She saw her little brother on the computer and resumed, "Rodney!"
Her brother quickly turned to him and he replied, "Hey, sis. Heard about your kickass win today at the convention today! So proud to be your brother."
She nodded as he turned back to this game and then Kyle smiled and resumed, "If you guys ever had a burglar in the house, he wouldn't notice him at all because of that computer."
"I'll be okay..as long as they don't take my computer away!"
The friends rolled their eyes at that silly comment and then she resumed, "Where's mom and dad at, squirt?"
"They went to Nashville to visit Aunt Whitney in her apartment. They'll be back by 4:00 tomorrow afternoon. They say we can order some pizza for dinner as well."
She nodded and then she saw Kyle leaving and she resumed, "Leaving me?"
"I have to head home. I want to chat with my girlfriend on before she gets too tired to do so."
"Gotcha, buddy. see ya."
Kyle waived to them both as he left and then as he closed the door, Amber looked at his little brother and replied, "Where should we order from?"
"Same place we both like and let's get some wings as well."
"Sounds like a awesome plan to me."

Inside of a townhouse in Dothan's residential area, Erica was sitting down her trophy and envelope that held her prize of 5,000 dollars in it on a nearby table. She lived in a very nice townhouse with her mom and dad. Her older brother Michael was at college now and was now a freshman in college right now and at the moment, she had the townhouse to her self after her brother Michael dropped her off after she won the tournament."
She sighed and replied, "What a dueling day for me that was today."
He heard the door knob rattle and she turned to see her mom and dad walk in and Amber quickly got up and ran to them and she replied, "Hey, mom and dad."
Her mom (who was named Lydia) smiled and replied, "Hey, honey. How'd you do today?"
Erica pointed to her new trophy and she picked up the envelope and she replied, "I won a check for 5,000 dollars as well!"
Her dad (Named Waylon) then replied, "I'm so proud of your hard work as a duelist. Have any plans for the money?"
"Save it towards to the college of dreams when I'm ready to do so. Something to think about right now."
Waylon nodded and replied, "What a bright young lady you turned out to be, honey. We're so proud of you right now."
She smiled at that and then her mom replied, "Want to go out for dinner tonight? Your pick."
"Sounds good to me."

Inside of a mysterious house on a faraway island, a blue-robed man was watching a crystal ball with his own eyes.
He then replied, "These 3 descendants are the real deal. After watching their duels as well."
Suddenly, a young teenaged girl with green hair walked in and she replied, "Evening, Merlon."
He turned to him and he smiled and replied, "Evening, Miss Tippi. How is your new life doing for you so far?"
"I don't remember a thing since the day you found me that day near the coastline. I'm so happy you saved my life."
"The pleasure is all mine, young lady. Did you sent those 3 letters I made out earlier?"
"Yes, sir. They'll be there at the tight time and in first class mail. We need them more then ever to find the artifacts and hopefully get access to Bleck's castle."
"One step at a time, my young friend. One step at a time. You can head to sleep now."
The young girl nodded as she left and he sighed and replied, "If only you knew how you arrived on the shoreline that day. It would unlock more of the puzzle of your past."

That next afternoon, Amber and Kyle dueled and she got a quick win with her deck.
Kyle then replied," I'm getting closer and closer to beating you some day, girl. You have a great deck."
She nodded and resumed, "Someday you might get a win against me, buddy."
He nodded and then they heard knocking at the door and then Jake ran to the door and he opened it up and a mailman was there and he replied, "Delievery for Danica Loucasta? All expenses paid."
She nodded and handed him a small red package and he smiled and replied, "Have a good day, Miss Loucasta."
He walked away and he shut the door and Rodney looked at him and replied, "Whatcha ya get, sis?"
He read the envelope and he replied, "No address from where it's from. Let's see."
He brought into the kitchen and he slid it open and took out a note inside.
Rodney then replied, "Let's see."
She nodded and egan to read it:
Dear Amber Loucasta,
Congratulations on your State Championshp win. We whould like to invite you and your family on once in a lifetime trip to the island of Flipatonia. All expenses will be paid and we'll allow you and your family free access to the island plus all the foods and drinks you and your family want to have. We have a private plane that'll arrive at your local airport on June 13th of this year at 11:00 that'll bring you all the way to our beautiful island. It'll be a quick 8 hour flight, so come packed up and you are one of three duelists that we're offering this journey. Once at our island, you and two others will face our best duelists to see who is the best on the island. We look fotward to seeing you. Enclosed are 3 cards that might help your deck. We look forward to seeing you there, Amber.

Kyle then replied, "What a offer of a lifetime that is, Amber. What are the cards?"
She looked inside and saw a red envelope inside and he took the 3 cards out of it and they were three Effect monsters she didn't have at the moment and she nodded and resumed, "These cards will be perfect for my deck."
She took the cards and resumed, "Couple of more cards and this deck will be perfect."
Rodney then replied, "Think mom and dad will let you go, sis?"
"The trip does include all of us, so I think so."

At her house as well, Erica was going over the same thing that Jake got in the mail and she got a couple of Dragon effect monsters and a Spell card that would help her deck out a lot and she smiled and replied, "This is the coolest thing to ever happen to me since my tournament win, guys. We all got a free trip to that beautiful island as well!"
Lydia then replied, "This will be the best time to go there now. We have nothing planned or happening anytime now."
Waylon then replied, "Me neither. We can take some time off and we'll help you get to the Island."
Natalia smiled and replied, "Yea, thanks!"

At her house in the suburbs area of Panama City, Jamie and her parents Tom and Lisa were allowing her to go as well. She received 2 Warriors and a Equip Spell that would help her deck out a lot and her dad heard everything and was getting something for his daughter.
Her dad nodded and resumed, "Can't let a chance like this leave. This your chance to show that island how great of a duelist you are, honey. We all believe in you."
Jamie then replied, "This'll be give me a chance at having some fun before I had back to college this fall."
Lisa then replied, "Your dueling skills helped you get to the island and you deserve this more then ever before."
She smiled and replied, "Thanks, guys. This means a lot to me."
She looked a nearby red deck box with many small red star and heart stickers all over it it and she sighed and resumed, "I miss her so much right now. She had a beautiful made deck as well. I want to remember her in anyway I can."
Her mom smiled and resumed, "She would of wanted you to use her deck as much as you could, honey. Why don't you surprise them all with her deck and add some of your deck cards with the cards you won today?"
She nodded and resumed, "That's a good idea. I have some decent cards that would help it out a lot. I think I'll do that then."
She nodded and her dad came in with a small red box and he smiled and resumed, "I'm so proud of your hard work, honey. I think you deserve to use these cards even more then before."
She opened the box and they were all various Fire monsters and she nodded and resumed, "I've heard of these cards. Thanks, dad."
He smiled as she went up and hugged him deeply.

2 months went by quickly and fast and on that day, they took their plane trips to the island and arrived at Flipatonia Airport and all were inside, waiting for someone to help them out. The families were told to wait in the lobby area while the 3 duelists were asked to wait in a special lounge for their leader. The lounge had free drinks and snacks for the gang. Amber was inside, waiting for this person while drinking down a bottle of Mountain Dew Pitch Black (The island had access to every drink sold in the World and were brought over here as well). He wore a necklace that had a small pendant with a red ruby in the middle of it.
Amber then replied, "What a beautiful island this is. I wonder where this person is."
He heard the door opened and Erica walked in and she replied, "You waiting too?"
Amber nodded and replied, "Sure am. I'm Amber Loucasta."
"I'm Erica Robertson and really nice to meet you."
They both shook hands and then Jamie walked in and she replied, "You ladies were chosen up to here too?"
They both nodded and she smiled and replied, "I'm Jamie Worenson you must be Erica and Amber. Nice wins at your State Championships earlier this year."
Amber smiled and resumed, "Honored to know both of you."
She then noticed both girls were necklaces and she replied, "Nice jewelry you have there."
Erica smiled and resumed "Thank you, girl. Its a old family heirloom."
She lifted up and it was the same one Amber had except with a white ruby and Jamie then replied, "That's so strange."
Amber lifted hers up as well and it had the same necklace and pendant, but it had a blue ruby instead and then Erica lifted hers up and it had a resumed, "This is really getting strange to me."
"No kidding.", the girls said at once and then Jamie lifted hers up and it had a red ruby and Erica nodded and resumed, "I wonder if this is any kind of sign for us to be good friends or so."
They all smiled at each other and then they heard knocking and Amber answered the door and saw Tippi and she smiled and repleid, "My name is Tippi. I'm a close friend of our Island's leader. He wants to meet you three right now in his office in Flipside."
Amber then replied, "The capital city of the Island, I'm guessing?"
"You are a smart lady, Miss Loucasta. Follow me to the office please."

Flipside was quite a big city. It had man buildings to live in, many cafes and even a few card sops and it had it's own stadium as well. The city's proudest moment was a large tower that stood in the middle of the mighty city. It was a beautiful tower that was build over 500 years ago and it still standing strong to its day. Tippi lead the gang to a large building near the tower that was always guarded by 3 Police Officers on a daily basis.
Tippi looked at them and replied, "He's coming now."
The doors opened up and walked in a tall male wearing a grey suit and no facial hair and he looked only 4 years older then they were and he replied, "Greetings, gang. I'm Daniel Melacaroson and 2nd in command to the President of Fliptonia."
Amber then replied, "Are you the president's son?"
Daniel nodded and replied, "Yes, miss. My dad will bere anytime now."
The door slowly opened up and the 3 turned around and saw a older male with brown hair, a white and a pair of glasses walk in and he replied, "I'm Santino Melacaroson, President of the lovely island of Fliptonia."
Jamie then replied, "Can you tell us what will be going on?"
Santino nodded and replied, "Of course. You may of thought I brought you all for a dueling convention of some kind, but there is a more different reason for this."
The ladies gave them a puzzled look and Daniel replied, "We need your help and only you three can help us."
Daniel then replied, "My father is right, kids. My grandfather can explain more of this at his house. He lives next to Flipside Tower and hopefully he can explain this situation."
Danica then replied, "We need all the information we can get right now. If there is something wrong with the island, I want to help out."
Erica then replied, "Me too."
Jamie nodded as well and Santino smiled and replied, "Thank you all for this. Follow me and my son to my fathers home."

About 3 miles away near the huge tower, was a large blue building and inside was a aged man wearing a large blue robe and on a pedestal held a large brown book of somesorts.
Santino then replied, "Welcome, folks. This is my father Merlon Melacaroson. They want to know about why we asked them to the island, dad."
Merlon turned to them and he nodded and relied, "I'll explain as much as I can, but there is not enough room in this small building to do so, so follow me up to the top floor of the tower."
Manda then replied, "At least we're getting a guided tour of the island."
Merlon grabbed his nearby book from the pedestal and they all left the small building.

The tower was just as tall as the Washington Monument in Washington D.C. and at the top was a small area and the wall was covered with a thick red curtain.
Merlon then replied, "Time to tell you what we need."
He looked at his grandson and son and replied, "Would you two help me out?"
They both nodded as they both pulled the curtain's ropes and it went down, revealing a large rocky board with 8 heart-shaped spots as well and Merlon then replied, "This is the Wall of the Pure Hearts. They were used over 500 years ago to seal away the Dark Prognosticus, which is a evil book and if it's ever used, our worlds would be done for. Somehow, it was stolen from its hiding spot and a new evil is covering this land and the world with evil."
Erica then replied, "You need us to save them and place them in the slot?"
"Yes, miss. You three are descendants. Those pendants were treasures we gave your familes at that time to thank you for the help you gave us."
Manda then replied, "So, we're all connected somehow?"
"You are correct on that one, young lady. We need the 8 Pure Hearts in order to seal away the evil one's castle once and for all. Only a Descendent of the former heroes can actually go near then. If the person tries to use and has a bad heart, the Pure Heart will vanished forever. We can't allow Count Bleck or his men to do so!"
Santino pointed at a far away nearby black Castle and he replied, "There's his castle. There is no way of accessing yet until the 8 Pure Hearts are placed in those 8 spots. Can we ask you guys to help us out?"
Amber nodded and then replied, "Of course, sir. The fate of the World is on our hands and we'll take care of any trouble."
Merlon looked at Santino and he replied, "Santino, can you ask two of your officers to bring up that locked up treasure chest for us, please? It'll be heavy."
"Of course, dad.", Santino said with a smile as he and his son left the tower and Jake looked at him and replied, "What is he getting?"
Merlon then replied, "Something you'll need."

About 20 minutes later, a large black metal chest appeared and Santino walked in and took out a key and unlocked the chest and it slowly opened up, and inside were 9 Monster cards and Merlon then replied, "These cards are based on the decks you each use. There 3 for each of you and you all can see who gets what cards."
He walked away and then they each decided one which 3 everyone wanted and took the cards and slid them into their decks and Merlon then replied, "Sounds good to me. Hidden across this world are 8 Pure Hearts and this map will lead to them. We have to get them quickly before Bleck takes over this whole island and possibly the world."
Merlon pointed to a large stone black in front of it that looked like it had a large open slot to place your heirloom inside of it and then the Heart will be transfered to it. The hearts must be been received in order from 1st to the last one and each one is guarded by a tough duelist that fights hard, so good luck. My young friend Tippi will help you with using a map to get to where you need to go. She's always wanted to help out anyone and this is the best way to do so. The journey of the Pure Hearts starts tomorrow morning. Get some good night sleep and we'll see you all tomorrow morning. Each family has their own home near my son's Presidential Palace. So enjoy the island and see you each later. I'll lead you back down to the bottom floor. Follow me, please."
They all did so and they didn't know it, but they were being watched from from away by a jester-looking person and he watched the duel closely.
He smiled evily and replied, "Count Bleck needs to know about this."
He slowly vanished into nothing.

These kids will be the ones that saves from that evil force. Next time, they leave to where the Next Pure Heart is located and before they can climb a mountain to leads to the area where the Heart is, They must duel a close friend of mine that is under the control of Bleck's crew and he guards the entrance to the main mountain and Erica is the one that duels and hopefully we'll see one of the cards she received from myself. Can our hero get the win and avoid losing to a true "Gatekeeper" and win? Find out next time.
