"May I present - the Powerpuff girls." Brick's eyes instantly shot to his brother, demanding an explanation. Butch prowled forward, his attention solely on the ravenette.

"Explain. Those girls haven't been seen in years." The girls had all but disappeared shortly after the town had turned on them. There were sightings of them here and there, but it had never been all three together. And the rumors had only gotten more outrageous as time passed, so they had never been believed. Yet now here all three stood, completely at their mercy. He felt his blood rush south at the thought.

"Good call Boom. They were definitely worth it." Butch played with his counterpart's much longer mane, bringing it to his lips. She flinched at the touch, but otherwise didn't move. Brick moved toward the young woman at the end of the line. He had to see her eyes to believe it. He pulled the blindfold down her face, watched as her bright pink eyes blinked to adjust to the sudden flood of light. Watched as they darted around their new surroundings, before landing on the young man in front of her. Smirked as the surprise and then anger flooded those same, expressive eyes. It was her. After eight years of not seeing her, he was almost delirious at the sudden thoughts he had long suppressed rushing to the forefront of his mind. She glared at him. He couldn't wait to break her.

He looked...different. But she would never forget those ruthless red eyes. The same eyes that haunted her dreams and nightmares alike. The ones that belonged to the one person she could never defeat. They always stood on even ground, never outsmarting the other. Not on their own anyway. It drove her up the wall. It also excited her to no end, though she would never admit it. And now here they stood, their never ending battle of wits finally coming to a close. He had won, his victory brought about by her own carelessness. How laughable. His name fell from her lips like a curse. And maybe it was.

"Brick." He seemed to lean in closer when she uttered his name. His eyes were predatory as they continued to take her in. She wouldn't admit that she did the same.

"Blossom. How the mighty have fallen." The way her name sounded when he said it sent shivers down her spine. She hated how much she liked it. Beside her, her sisters jerked as if they'd been slapped. Bubbles whimpered and shifted on her feet, blindly trying to seek comfort from Buttercup. Buttercup also shuffled her feet, unsure where she wanted to go. She ended up blindly searching for Bubbles with her foot, silently leading her closer. Bubbles sighed in relief, eventually leaning against her green eyed sister. Blossom shifted away from Brick as if she'd been burned. Brick felt irritation flash through him as their moment was interrupted. Blossom shifted in front of her sisters, now glaring at all three boys in turn.

"Release us." Butch snorted, coming around to slouch beside Brick.

"No can do. You should know that's not how this works." His words were directed to her, but his eyes continued to devour her sister. Blossom frowned further, not liking the way he was looking at her.

"Then unlock these chains. Or have you lost confidence in your abilities?" He knew she was goading them. Having worn the cuffs for so long, they all knew the girls would be at a distinct disadvantage. That never stopped them from pulling Hail Mary's from nowhere. He wouldn't risk their escape. Brick glanced at Boomer and Butch, silently conversing. Blossom watched them even as she slowly crept backwards. Brick loved assuming he was the smartest in the room. She bumped into her sisters who instantly got the hint, also backing up. They were nearly at the door when two things happened at once.

The boys finished their conversation. Moving faster than Blossom's tired eyes could track, the sisters were grabbed and separated by their respective counterparts. Boomer unlocked the chains around their feet, leaving the chains around their wrists. Blossom struggled the whole while, but Bubbles and Buttercup were disoriented with the sudden movements. They struggled only slightly, afraid to accidentally hurt each other or Blossom. Brick scooped Blossom into his arms, turning to the left and heading out the back door. Blossom shouted for her sisters, kicking and squirming in Brick's hold. Buttercup and Bubbles put up a similar fight upon hearing Blossom's cries. Bubbles scratched and screamed at who she could only assume was Boomer, desperate to get back to her sisters. Buttercup bit and kicked at Butch, screaming profanities and threats. The boys only smirked, as each continued on their separate ways. Butch left for the basement while Boomer disappeared upstairs.

Blossom eventually slumped against her captor, feeling utterly helpless. Brick's voice held nothing but malice as he kicked open the back door, heading to his favorite spot.

"Don't give up so soon Pinky. The fun's only just beginning."
