Under the morning sun, Aizen prepared himself for what was to be his first meeting with Queen Calca Bessarez. He did so in what was acting as his bedroom in this new Roble Holy Kingdom base. It had a large bed that rested under the only window in the room, a door that led to a bathroom and a large walk-in closet. Next to the latter was a large mirror which Aizen used to make last minute checks for when he met the Queen in their little unofficial meeting.

Aizen wasn't alone, since Juno was at the door, while Annika and Amelia looked him over giving the Shinigami their input on his choice of garments. He had opted with keeping his usual swept-back hairstyle, while for his garments he had chosen black shoes, white slacks, black leather belt, sea-blue shirt underneath, and a white long-coat over it, which had slightly longer sleeves and a higher collar.

"Perhaps it is too white?" Amelia mused, looking at him.

"Don't you think it suits me?" Aizen replied with a straight tone and expression that they could have sworn was a deadpan.

"It does. But don't you think you use too much white?" She argued with a head-tilt she propped up with her left index-finger.

"Nonsense. White fits Aizen-sama perfectly~ It's such a heavenly color, perfect for someone like him." Annika retorted with a smile.

"Well, perhaps some blacks and whites? Like what you had some of the duplicates wear?" Amelia suggested.

"Oh? A traditional Shinigami's garb? Hmm... Another time perhaps. When things are more set-in stone. For now, more complex clothing is needed..." Aizen thoughtfully remarked in a surprisingly wistful tone.

"...And remember this is meant for the Queen. Not for youself, Amelia." He added, getting an amused smirk from her.

"You shouldn't have had me help you then~"

"I do not recall asking."

"Oh, you didn't have to~"

"Well then, I will assume that you approve of this choice of garments." Aizen replied with a chuckle.

He was still looking at Amelia as he said this, fixing up his coat, right as Annika approached him from his left, and her left-hand brushed his back going to his left shoulder, while her right went to brush his side.

"I take it you approve of it as well, Annika." He calmly added, taking a set away from her.

"Indeed, I do, Aizen-sama. I... I must admit that I feel jealous, that this Calca will have the chance to be with you, before I." She replied, biting her lip with desire.

"I don't see how that is relevant, Annika." Juno hissed, her eyes narrowing on her fellow Espada.

"Perhaps for you, Juno. But I have to admit that I... would like to know why only Amelia?"

"I have to agree with Juno. This is not the time for this." Amelia argued with a sigh and eyeroll.

"But don't you feel it too? That the Queen will take a role only held by yourself? Forgive me for my impertinence, but I would like to know, why only Amelia? Why not me, or someone else of our number? Someone strong enough who could better keep up with you?" Annika insisted, her attention going back to Aizen.

"..." Juno went to speak, when Aizen raised a hand to silence her.

"This is a rare break in your usual demeanor, Annika. Not that I'm surprised, but I have to agree that this is not the best time. Yet, I can see that you have spent a great deal of time with this on your mind, so I will answer." Aizen began, with a slightly bemused smirk.

"It is true that once my relationship with the Queen starts moving forward, certain things will be expected of me, and naturally I will perform as expected. It is the best way for me to reach the throne. So, in that regard, it is true that I will have to neglect Amelia. I apologize for that by the way." He continued, giving Amelia a nod.

"Oi... Annika's remarks were enough to put me in a foul mood. Don't make it worse." Amelia snapped back.

It was certainly true, and Amelia understood that Aizen would need to start focusing on Calca more and more, leaving less time for her and her desires. Something that only served to anger Amelia, who had found in Aizen so much fun and so much interest. These thoughts she had yet to share with anyone however, and as things were unfolding now, it was clear that she hadn't done a good job hiding them. Whatever the case, it was a strange feeling for Amelia. It was like something was tugging at her being that she never expected; that of jealousy.

"Now, when it comes to whom I choose as my 'lover', it is true that perhaps there could be a different dynamic if I had decided to share my bed with you, Annika, but it isn't that simple. The pleasures of the flesh hold little, long-term interest for me. Especially after I've spent so much time in this world, and am fully equipped to live here. Bearing that in mind, I wouldn't say that I chose Amelia. She was the first to find me, the first to allow me to explore that new side of myself, the first to support my endeavors and help me rise up to what you see today. Yes, in that regard, I don't think I would have found a better partner, than my right-hand..."

As Aizen said this, his eyes remained on Amelia, and while at times she likewise looked at him, she looked away in brief moments in her own thoughts. Still, once he was done a silence filled the room. Juno had regained her composure feeling things calm down, Amelia had finally opted to look at the floor and sigh, while Annika was silent understanding her mistake.

The second-ranked Espada went to speak, but quickly silenced herself once more, as the situation finally became clear to her, it also dawned on her the misunderstanding, and the great mistake she had made. There was clearly an emotion between these two greater than simple, mutual pleasure they got from each other. Something that Annika had clearly failed to realize.

It baffled her that she had missed it to this degree. That she thought that perhaps in the right circumstances she would share a bed with her master. After all, she was a better fit from a physical standpoint for someone as strong as he was. However, in the end there was nothing that she could do, to ever get this opportunity to present itself.

"My apologies... I-I did not intend this to..." Annika said, in between pauses while she tried and failed to compose herself.

"It's fine. An unusual mistake on your part, but nothing serious. And since we are speaking openly, I would like to ask you about your worship of me." Aizen coolly said.

"...! I-I do not know..." Annika tried to say, before her mind went blank with pure shock.

"I am aware of it. I'm simply curious as to why."

"I-I... I mean... How could I not Aizen-sama? Especially now that we know that our 'gods' were nothing more than powerful beings from another world who used their power to change the land as they saw fit. Who else was there when I prayed for either salvation or release while I was trapped by those horrid demons? It was you, Aizen-sama. No one else is as worthy of my devotions as much as you..." Annika replied, tears starting to form in the corners of her eyes as she passionately exposed her devotion for him.

"But you are aware, that I too am one of those beings." Aizen remarked, wanting to see her reaction.

"You are a Shinigami, my Lord! A 'Death God' as you said. Yes, while I understand that you are similar to them to an extent, you are so much more. I'm sure everyone that has met you, and knows of you, would say the same. You have given us so much and still plan to give us so much more. I am honored to serve you, and delighted to be able to pray to you in my quietest moments, to feel once more the same relief I felt when we first met. Please, Aizen-sama, please accept my devotion. For, I never intended to offend, or displease, but simply wish to feel as close to you, as I once did to the Four Gods." Annika continued, falling to her knees and bowing to him.

"Annika, please rise." Aizen said in a calm, and surprisingly comforting tone.

"A-As you wish." Annika sobbed, getting back up.

"I am well-aware of how devoted you are. You have showed many times what you are willing to do for the Espada and for me. That I will never question. As I said, I was simply curious as to what led you to make this choice. You are free to do with it whatever you desire, as I have no qualms with it. For the time being, go and rest, pray, and continue doing what you have been doing so far, while I see my part through."

"Thank you..." She said, with a deep bow.

"And I will, Aizen-sama." Annika added, rising from her bow.

"Dismissed. You and Juno." Aizen said with a nod.

With the two Espada gone, Aizen turned his attention to Amelia, who was now sitting on the bed with her eyes still on the floor. He had to admit that he was a bit surprised that this all happened now and at the same time, but he knew that sometimes showings of emotion were needed. Though he felt that Amelia wasn't entirely pleased with the plan regarding Calca, since it would take his focus elsewhere and disturb their dynamic. With that in mind he approached, placed himself just a few feet in front of her and spoke.

"Amelia..." He gently said, but she quickly spoke over him.

"What? Are you going to tell me how this is necessary? Are you going to remind me of how, in order to become King, you need to consummate the relationship? That you need to spend time with her? I'm well-aware of it Aizen. I'm not a child." Amelia growled, still not looking at him.

"Amelia..." Aizen insisted, just to be stopped again.

"Are you going to try comfort me? Perhaps place a hand on me and say how it's different? That was never your strong suit, Aizen. And I'm not in the mood." Amelia added, getting up to her feet and looking up at him with reddened eyes.

"Hm. Indeed. We talked..." the Shinigami started, but she glared at him in such a way that Aizen sighed and relented, even taking a step back to give her space.

"I know we discussed this. I'm not happy at all with the fact I have even less time with you than I already have now, with all we're doing. It's a strange feeling for me. That much you have to understand. I have grown accustomed to something and it isn't easy to let go of. Specially to let it go to the hands of someone as boring as her. Even more so when we'll have to trade pleasantries. But I know it's for the best..." Amelia continued, when Aizen decided to interrupt her.

"Amelia... Truly, I am sorry that it turned out like this. Even if we both knew it was unavoidable." Aizen calmly said, silencing Amelia.

"I... Wha-? Did you really just say that?" She asked, surprised and immediately much calmer, as she looked at his now genuine expression, and the usual façade dropping.

"Since we are keeping things honest and direct, why not? After all, it is true. As you probably are aware, the number of people I would ever apologize too is quite small. So is the number of people I am thankful for. I am thankful for having met you, and for having you work with me. Not that I don't think I wouldn't be doing well on my own, but you certainly have made it much easier, more efficient, and much more enjoyable. For that I am thankful, and for that I am sorry that you feel like this because of our plan." Aizen said with a warm tone and expression.

"Heh-heh. W-Well, I wasn't expecting this... Are you feeling alright?" Amelia jokingly said with an awkward laugh, trying to snap herself out of the stupor this surprising turn brought on.

"..."

Aizen remained silent as Amelia thought of what to say, since he himself was processing the situation. Having said many things that he hadn't really thought much about before, it was a clear showing of not only how much he had changed since coming here, but also how he had formed bonds with the people around him. In the past, he would never have let himself be "burdened" with such a large liability like Amelia was. Though now here he was, with Amelia as his right-hand.

It was surprising how much responsibility and value he had placed on someone that was so much weaker than him, and even with her newfound enhancements was still so hopeless in case of an enemy attack. In a way the situation was quite amusing and ironic, given his own power and how far he had gone to increase it.

"I mean... I guess I should also thank you a bit. You've given me so many interesting and worthwhile things to see and do. I would have never imagined this would be my future before meeting you. As things were going before you, sex was losing its luster and drugs were starting to look like a good option, just to give me something thrilling to do... Who knows where I would be if not for you? Who knows where any of us would be without you?" Amelia mumbled, thinking how each of the Espada were saved from various kinds of grisly ends thanks to him.

"We do owe much to each other." Aizen thoughtfully remarked.

"R-Right~! Well, let's get moving. You have a Queen to seduce!" Amelia announced, doing her best to brush the topic aside as she readjusted Aizen's coat.

"Yes. We wouldn't want her to slip away." Aizen replied in an amused tone.

"Very true. Then, remember, be mindful of guards..." Amelia continued to explain, just for Aizen to interrupt her.

"We already discussed this. I'm aware…" He tried to say, only for her to continue.

"Then you have the real issue, the Custodio sisters. They..." She finally stopped when Aizen blankly stared back at her, and she broadly smiled at the reaction.

"Well, well~! Look who else doesn't like things being repeated."

"Hmph. Fair enough." Aizen said, as Amelia stop looking over his clothing.

"Well, you look great~ And, if I say so myself, I'm sure someone as 'pure' as her will be helpless before you."

"Hm. We can only hope. I'll be back shortly."

As he said this, Aizen approached the window, opened it, and gave Amelia one final nod before vanished using Shunpo. The reason for this was him wanting to get a better idea of the layout of the land for whenever it might be needed.

Amelia now alone, sighed loudly and dropped herself onto the bed, letting out a brief shout into a pillow before relaxing and trying to clear her mind of the strangely honest interaction she had just had with Aizen. Even if deep down she had to admit, that the weight that had been pressing down on her, now felt much lighter.

A few minutes later in the Capital City of Hoburns, Queen Calca Bessarez was enjoying some much-needed time alone in the gardens of the Royal Palace. In a small clearing surrounded by trees and bushes, Calca rested on a large wooden bench, taking in the air as she pondered on current events. Such as the ever-present disdain the southern nobility held towards her.

It was a point of continuous consternation for her, but the sad fact was there wasn't a single noble in their southern half that she could trust. The only exception being her older brother Caspond Bessarez, whom frequently traveled between the north and south. The rest of her brothers were an untrustworthy lot, since almost all of them struggled to get power, even after her ascension at the throne so long ago.

It was at this time as she released a weary sigh, that as she looked around, and her eyes fell upon a figure standing between a few trees. At first, she tried to better make out who this individual was, mostly due to the shadows cast by the sun and foliage. However, she quickly understood that this man was not known to her. Yet, she was almost unable to look away due to his otherworldly beauty. For Calca, who had always felt alone when it came to men and was more often than not surrounded by women, to see someone like this was quite the event.

Of course, she did not fail to recognize the fact that a stranger had entered the Royal Gardens and made their way to her unnoticed. With this in mind, while still remaining seated, she calmly made mental preparations to cast defensive spells if necessary. After all, she was a gifted prodigy who could use 4th-tier divine magic at fifteen, so she was hardly defenseless. Though much to her surprise, as soon as the stranger entered the clearing, he kneeled to her.

"I apologize for my sudden and unrequested appearance, my Queen. My name is Aizen. Sōsuke Aizen. I am the one in charge of the Espada Mercenary Company." He informed with a smooth and articulate tone of voice.

Everything he said was more or less known to her. The Espada had made quite the name for themselves, and Kelart Custodio had kept an eye on their accomplishments. Especially now they had come to their nation. However, from what Calca knew, this man didn't exactly match the description of the Aizen that was known to them, or that Aizen was known to be the leader of the Espada. As far as she knew, that title belonged Amelia Bedelia Aigner.

"W-Why are you here?"

Calca was still unsure if she should call for help or not. She knew that among those that would appear to her aid, Kelart and Remedios both would be there. Even if he was skilled enough to get here, surely running away from the sisters wouldn't be so easy? Still, the sheer presence of this man took her off-guard, and she found herself abandoning such thoughts.

"I came here to see you, my Queen. I knew that the best time would be when you are alone, with no one else to influence what we have to say."

His tone was strangely calm and soothing, it surprised her a little that he was not only good looking and polite, but had a such a strong presence as well. It went against some of the ideas she had developed regarding assassins, rangers, and rogues. Not that she thought he was one of them, but he was clearly highly skilled at sneaking to have gotten here. As Calca tried to think about what to do next, Aizen suddenly spoke up.

"May I approach, Your Majesty?"

"I... Hm... Very well."

Aizen got to his feet and started walking forwards, until he reached the opposite end of the bench Calca was sitting on. In what could be seen as a bold move, took a seat himself, whilst keeping them a respectable distance between the edges of the bench.

"I hope you don't mind if I sit, my Queen."

"I do not... Are you truly Sōsuke Aizen? Your appearance hardly matches the description we were given. Nor is he the one in charge of the Espada." Calca pointed out in skepticism.

"I am the same man. However, there was need for me to change my appearance, and to give the reigns of the Espada to Lady Amelia." Aizen cordially replied.

"That being?"

"Legitimacy. She was the one that had the means and influence to make our new mercenary organization stand a chance upon its inception, and sadly I was an unknown that would not be taken seriously. However, we also agreed that I should put on a more 'harmless' appearance to ensure no one questioned who was in-charge. I apologize if that misled you, my Queen."

"..."

Calca for a moment was left speechless, since she too understood the pain that could come from a lack of legitimacy, what could happen when one didn't have the means to gain the trust of others.

"N-No, that is fine. Does that mean you are now officially the one leading them?"

"Indeed. Now, that we have begun operations here, we agreed to drop such façades and openly move with me as the lead." Aizen smoothly replied.

"It will probably cause problems for you, since some people may feel cheated and tricked." Calca thoughtfully mused.

"Most likely. However, they know what the Espada is capable of, and it is something our clients know they cannot lose. Still... That is not the reason I am here, my Queen." Aizen informed with a softer tone.

"I-I know. You mentioned being able to speak uninterrupted here." Calca said with a slight blush.

"That is correct. Although, first I must admit that stories of your beauty, of your radiance, and genteel demeanor did not do you justice, my Queen." Aizen pointed out with a more charming tone.

"N-Neither did what we knew of you..." Calca babbled, only realizing what she had said when it was too late.

"Again, my apologies for the deception, but it was necessary. And I am most thankful that you think of me in such a light, my Queen."

"Don't mention it... Still, is that why you came here? To flatter me?" Calca asked gulping slightly at the unexpected turn the situation took.

"I must admit, that is the biggest reason that I came here, my Queen. Call it an absent-minded effort on my part, but something told me that I should come here. And I do not regret it, for you are more than I had ever imagined, my Queen."

"Oh... my. You are very bold." Calca admitted, putting her hands to her face as she blushed.

"I have to be. I wouldn't be here if that wasn't the case. Of course, I am not referring to only being here in this garden, but life overall. While it may not appear so, I began in this world with nothing. Then I met Amelia, and thanks to our combined efforts, here we are."

"In that case, you seem to have done very well."

"That is true. I have been backed by quite the skilled and devoted group of people. They have helped me a great deal, and thanks to them I have been able to put my vision into motion and reach this far."

Calca was a complete mess at a mental level. Even as they spoke, she was still unsure of either or not she should call upon her guards and her "Twin Wings" to at least make sure this man wouldn't try anything. Whilst at the same time, she was awestruck by his presence, by his calm demeanor, his grace, but most of all the will that seemed to have brought him this far.

It was enviable to see someone who was so self-confident and put together. Who was able to create the Espada, and bring it up to what it was now thanks to the help of those around him. Most likely, he and Amelia had been the ones to pick out their fighters, meaning he also had a keen eye for skilled talent and fighting potential. Which made sense, given the fact he had sneaked past her guards.

In a way, she too wished that she had been more like this man. Able to take the reins of her Kingdom, and along with Kelart and Remedios, fix their current political situations. Even if the latter was woefully inadequate to the task, and served more as her rock upon the stormy shores than anything else.

"...Vision? Hm... Yes, that sounds like something that is especially important…" She mumbled in reflection.

"I am sure that you also have a vision of how things should be, my Queen. After all this country is yours." Aizen pointed out in a comforting tone.

"Is it?... You have been candid, Aizen. So I shall be as well... At times I think that only the North is truly, 'mine'. Even then... I am not deaf to the whispers. It is said by many that I am too kindhearted. That my 'innocence' which 'inspires' our troops is simply not enough..." Calca sighed, leaning back on her seat.

"Hoh?... Fools. All of them."

"W-What...?" She mumbled, surprised by how more direct he was.

"Ah, forgive me. I should be more clear in my meaning. There is a hole in that logic. To be kindhearted and innocent; it isn't a bad thing per-se, to have those characteristics. The people lean towards kind and benevolent rulers. To those that can see and understand their needs and plights, while having difficultly leaning towards rulers that are cold and domineering. Even if they bring the country great fortune, they would fear such a ruler more than anything else. I have seen such before. One that rules by might has his subordinates loyalty for as long as he is strong and even then, he might be open to being stabbed in the back, once his guard had been lowered."

"S-So, you are saying that they are wrong?"

"Hmm... Were it as simple as that. I would say that they are both correct and incorrect. But the same goes for you, my Queen. While you are a beacon to those that support you, the reason others decide not to follow you is because you lack initiative. With the Espada and myself, Lady Amelia's resources and means were very useful, but she only allowed me to use them when I went to her with something of interest. The Espada that agreed to work for us, only did so because we went to them and offered them this role, giving them things in return. Whether it be means of living well, purpose, or to fulfill certain goals in their lives."

"A-Again, you are quite bold, to speak of me and the nobles like that."

"It is simply the truth, and I believe that after a point, the best thing one can hear is that simple truth. Then, with facts in hand, one is able to establish goals, paths, and see through their vision, my Queen."

"..."

Calca went to speak, but then fell silent understanding that at the moment she had nothing else to say. Again, this man was quite bold in his opinions and how he put them forth, but that in itself felt refreshing after spending so much time thinking of what could be done to have their southern half better support them.

Kelart and Remedios were still of great help. Kelart was simply amazing in what she did and all the decisions she made, and in a way, it was both Calca and Kelart that ruled the Kingdom. To know that she had Kelart and Remedios there to support her, filled Calca with unimaginable relief, but at the same time, perhaps her lack of action had been mutually holding them back.

"While I am glad to be of assistance in some small way, I think I should now be taking my leave, my Queen." Aizen coolly informed, rising to his feet.

"Alre... I thought we were still talking." Calca said, unsure of how to properly react.

"And I apologize for my abruptness, but I can already hear the sounds of approaching footsteps."

"O-Oh... Well, in that case, I suppose it is better that you leave."

"Thank you for understanding. But do not worry. I will return in the fullness of time, and to this same spot if possible. Even so, if you wish to have the assistance of the Espada, I'm certain you know where to find us in Rimun. Be well, my Queen." Aizen comfortingly said, giving her a slight bow, before surprising her by vanishing from her sight.

Alone once more, Calca sighed, waved her hands in front of her face to try and hide the redness and heat that was currently permeating through it and her body, whilst leaning back in her seat trying to recompose herself. A few seconds later, Kelart and Remedios Custodio, along with a few other guards, entered the clearing, their appearance startling the still dazed Queen.

"We did not mean to startle you, Lady Calca." Kelart chuckled, approaching the bench.

"Oh, not at all. I was just so lost in thought, I think I might have fallen asleep." Calca said with an awkward chuckle.

"We apologize for having roused you, if that is the case." Remedios said as she stepped forward.

"No. No. I was already awake."

"But I wonder what you might have dreamt of, you're so red, Lady Calca~" Kelart said with a playful, and mildly mischievous tone.

"I-I do not remember, actually. Still, I have to agree I feel quite hot." Calca said, waving her hands in front of her face.

"Perhaps it was a dream of your future husband." Kelart mused with a chuckle, causing Calca to grow even redder.

"T-That's not funny." The Queen protested, getting to her feet.

"Agreed, sister. Didn't we come here to retrieve Lady Calca?" Remedios asked as she rolled her eyes at the overtly playful exchange.

"You speak as if we are on a mission. But it is true that it is time to return to work." Kelart admitted in resignation.

"Then, we better get going." Calca energetically said, taking the lead and briskly starting to walk away.

"You seem to be in quite the high spirits, Lady Calca." Remedios pointed out.

"I feel very refreshed, that is true."

"I'm happy to hear it."

Kelart watched on, almost as surprised as the guards, since usually political matters served to take away some of Calca's energy, since it involved either the eternal conflict with the demi-humans that resided beyond the Great Wall, or the relations with the South. Even so she, couldn't deny that this was a most refreshing and welcomed turn of events. Noticing even the guards starting to follow, she was quick to go after and politely stop them from following Calca and Remedios.

"Is there something wrong, Lady Kelart?" The head guard asked.

"We can take care of Her Majesty from this point on. But I am curious, it has been some time since the Royal Gardens have been searched, correct?" She asked with a calm tone.

"That is the case. There really isn't a reason to search them since they are so well protected."

"Right. I'd imagine so. Still, would it be an issue to take some men to just look through the area?"

"I... don't see why, but if that is what you wish, then it shall be done." The guard replied, unsure of why he was being asked to do this.

"Thank you. I'll leave you to it then."

With that Kelart walked away. It wasn't like she suspected anything regarding someone having been with Calca, at least not from what the Queen had told her. However, in recent times the world had become quite the troublesome place, with a demonic invasion having taken place not that long ago in the Re-Estize Kingdom, and the demi-humans being a constant issue. So for the Queen to be sleeping alone in such a place, it would be for the best to make sure it was clear of danger.

Naturally, the guards found nothing, since there was nothing to find. After all, Aizen wasn't foolish enough to risk something like that. Especially when he knew that the Queen was surrounded by the highly intelligent Kelart and the headstrong Remedios. Though he was impressed that Kelart's instincts allowed her to sense that something was amiss.

A week had passed since that meeting, and afterward two significant events occurred. First, was the arrival of a Dragon carrying Aura and Mare into the heart of the Baharuth Empire, leading to Emperor Jircniv Rune Farlord El Nix to go to the Great Tomb of Nazarick to meet with the mysterious, Ainz Ooal Gown. Both Aizen and Amelia learned of this, thanks to their sources in the Empire. However, for the time being that would not become their focus.

That was because of the second event, in the marriage between Rukia Kuchiki and Daisuke Goto, the Emperor of the southern nation of Kokka no Shinku-Kokai. The large scale and luxurious ceremony attracted many people to that nation's capital, lasting for almost an entire day, with the associated festivities lasting for three days in total. However, while most celebrated, the young Emperor and his wife were taken to a more isolated and forested area where a manor rested in which the honeymoon was to take place.

This entire area was the approximate size of a small city, filled with forests, surrounded by high walls, and a few buildings. The manor itself was at the center, guarded by several elite Samurai, and during the period of the honeymoon even several NPCs. In addition, within the highwalls a barrier that stopped any attempts at teleportation into the area, while for those outside, wearing specific items was required.

Isolation was the goal of all these preparations. After all, this was meant to be a sacred and calm night for the newly wedded couple, since was also expected for them to consummate their union. Something Rukia was reminded often during the preparations for this night, but this would see a few deviations from the young Emperor's plans.

Before then however, when the couple arrived at the manor, they traded their ceremonial garments for more relaxed, yet almost equally expensive robes as they got to know each other better. It was a pleasant experience for the young man to enjoy simple conversation, spending some time near the small lake located at the manor and their first dinner together. Truly, he had forgotten the joys of such simple leisure activities, away from duties and responsibilities.

The couple would then separate to bathe, don different sets of loosely fitting robes and finally arrive together at the royal bedroom. The Rukia duplicate was unsure of what to do, as this was her first time, and even if it was part of her assignment, it wasn't an easy step to take. Especially knowing what this meant for Daisuke.

Still, she focused on the fact that they were indeed now married, that her husband had shown himself to be a dedicated, determined and kind man. The fact that he was so handsome, athletic, and very skilled in matters of intimacy made it much easier for her laid together as a couple. For Daisuke, this first step in siring an heir was also the first time he laid with someone he knew so little about. It was a different feeling than usual, but quite surprising and pleasing. Especially when she was able to keep up with him much like the Warrior Ōoku.

After 2-hours the duo finally found an acceptable finishing point for their first time sharing a bed. Looking quite spent, they both laid on their backs, taking in gulps of air, recovering from what had been a very exhausting time. As they rested in their night robes, Rukia couldn't help but notice, that Daisuke's eyes were placed on her, prompting her to speak up.

"Is something on your mind?"

"Just wondering how lucky I seem to be, for having been paired with someone as capable as yourself. Both as a fighter and as a lover. It truly seems like I'll be capable to continue on the legacy of my family." He replied with a relieved tone.

"Is it that important to you? To be able to leave your own mark in the history of this nation?"

"Yes. It is my duty to continue to build and maintain the ideals laid by Yoshitsune-sama, and enhanced by those that came after him and before me." Daisuke replied with fire in his eyes.

"And I believe that yours is the most admirable goal. After all, few are those that can say that they have achieved the same peace and equality as your family. That is why I must ask, have you ever considered expanding this mentality to the rest of the world?"

"That... would certainly be a way to leave my mark on history. From what I know of the other nations, they would only benefit from it. Still, it is nothing but a dream. Our great and proud nation, as strong as it is, is not invincible, and I won't risk my nation for such an uncertain dream."

"That is true. Alone it is too much for your nation, but that doesn't need to be the case. As we speak there is someone that is taking steps to unifying all, just as the First Emperor did with this land." Rukia adamantly informed.

Daisuke raised an eyebrow at Rukia, taking in the clear truth that laid beneath her words. It was a tone of familiarity and clear hinting of relation with whatever she was talking about. There was something about her tone that set off his instincts, warning him of caution. Pushing himself up to a sitting position, the Emperor looked down at her, clenching his right-hand slightly to feel the ring that would allow him to teleport within the area. Similarly, he could also use [Message] to call for aid in case that was necessary.

"I genuinely hoped that wouldn't be your reaction, but I guess it is only fair. I apologize, but there was a reason for me to have come here to meet and marry you. It was to give my superior a chance to speak with you..." Rukia said solemnly.

As she spoke, a few feet away from the bed a vertical line of light formed in the air, which then split aside, and from within emerged a man whose looks were comparable only to himself and NPCs. Aizen calmly took the first few steps into the room, the portal closing behind him, and his eyes falling on Daisuke. Since this nation sported styles of dress similar to that of Japan and the Soul Society, Aizen opted with wearing garments reminiscent to those he wore during the battle at Fake Karakura Town in his original world.

Seeing the stranger and having Rukia to his side, Daisuke quickly jumped off of the bed. He was thankful that he wore his robes, since not only were they expensive, but they were also made to withstand some damage. At the same time, Rukia also got out of the bed with her robe on, albeit much more calmly than he had.

"Goto-dono, before you depart, I would like to speak with you." Aizen said, with a calm and respectful tone.

"Please, listen to him..." Rukia went to say, but Daisuke lifted a hand to silence her.

"Hmph! Listen to a man who just interrupted my honeymoon with his... subordinate? That is quite the heavy, audacious request." Daisuke remarked with a steely tone, his vision then narrowing on Aizen.

"Why are you here?"

As he spoke, he keenly examined Aizen. The man certainly had an impressive presence to him. Again, the only thing he could compare him too were the higher-level NPCs that still remained. The fact he had gotten past the barrier was a clear indication of his power, and of the danger he was currently in. However, Rukia's description of the man had gotten his attention, and was wise and experienced enough to maintain his composure, even under these conditions.

"My name is Aizen. Sōsuke Aizen. I am the one in charge of the Espada Mercenary Company to the north. As Rukia has likely said, my plan was that after she came to this land, she would make her way here and create an opening for us to speak. While I understand that this isn't the best time, I was unsure of how long it would take for her to convince you to see me. Especially after the information we collected said that you were a very capable and strong ruler, unlike some others. So my appearance here, is that so I could speak with you regarding my plans to unify the world under a single banner. Just like what happened here in your fine nation." Aizen replied calmly and cordially replied.

"..."

Indeed, the name was vaguely familiar to Daisuke, as was the Espada. He knew enough to know that this was meant to be a powerful group of mercenaries, and Aizen's name wasn't the same of the one they believed to be the leader. Still, knowing that Rukia was related to them and what her level was, the power he could feel from this man, it made sense that they were all within this range. Meaning they could probably match his best soldiers.

"And? You are gathering allies for this purpose I take it?" Daisuke asked, taking a seat on the bed's edge as he folded his arms.

"That is true. As we speak, I have built an alliance with a being named Cthalpi, who came from the same place as the First Emperor, and ruled for several centuries as the god of an island and its people. In a few days I will be finalizing my alliance with the Platinum Dragon Lord. Some of my Espada are making progress in the Dragon Kingdom to attain a foothold there. And recently I've begun to work my way into the favor of the Queen of the Roble Holy Kingdom."

"Umu... I have never heard of Cthalpi. However, I've heard of all the rest and again I wonder what drove you to come to me at a time like this?" Daisuke asked, showing understandable displeasure.

"I tend to gather allies by giving them something they need, and in turn I ask for their aid. However, what is it that you need, Goto-dono? A mate? There would be someone else outside of Rukia. A way to leave your mark on history? You're still young. I'm sure your people would remember you for something, even if it was how you protected them from everything that could come here and ruin what your family have built. I confess that I expected a ruler more in need of something, yet such is not the case with yourself. So, as in order to gather the allies I need, I decided upon more up-front approach, at a time I knew I could find you alone."

This man was quite bold, to admit to providing people to what they needed in order to gain their favor and further his goals. Still, it was quite the impressive line-up he was gathering, in addition to his already impressive warriors. Daisuke contemplate upon what to do next, given the fact this man was quite powerful and was alone with him. He unsure of how this man would react if he was to teleport out of the room. Nor would it quell his own curiosity.

"What do you want from me?" Daisuke asked with a serious edge to his voice.

"That should be obvious, I desire your backing in this endeavor. What that will entail... I believe that is better discussed in a more proper venue about in three days. For in that time, I will be hosting a meeting between the aforementioned beings, the Catastrophe Dragon Lord whose dealing with issues in the Dragon Kingdom, and yourself if you agree. I will be there with my right-hand and a single bodyguard. So, if you wish you can take two others of your choosing as your own escorts."

"A summit?"

"Exactly. To set things in stone, as I move things forward."

"Hm. Where will it be held?"

"If you wish for Rukia to remain here, she'll give you the specifics since the location and exact time are still pending. If you wish her to leave, I'm sure we can work another way to inform you." Aizen replied in that same calm, cool tone as when he had arrived.

"I see... In that case, I will ask again, what do you want from me and my nation, Aizen-dono?" He said firmly yet calmly.

Though he did not show it, Aizen was rather amused. After all, it wasn't every day that he had to haggle like this for what he wanted. Still, it was true that he was the one to make the rare first mistake by thinking the Emperor of the South was someone like Calca; young and finding his way through his role. In truth, Daisuke was clearly quite capable and worth the trouble.

"Since you insist, I once again mentioned your backing as a nation and a source of resources if need be. In turn, the Espada will be open to coming here and handling any issues you need to be done. We already have the aid of the Yasei no Kari, so they will also be keen on helping with anything you desire. The main goal of this, is to establish larger routes between your nation and others in the north, so as to decrease your isolation."

Although Daisuke kept his expression blank, internally he was smiling. It seemed like this night wasn't completely ruined after all. Aizen was clearly a capable and intelligent man. So much so, that he could see that this wasn't Aizen's usual method of doing things. Meaning, he was clearly also pretty skilled in improvising. What he had on offer was particularly good, and while his nation was not in dire need for strong individuals, to know that they could be called upon if needed was an excellent proposition.

Not only that, but once additional national ties were forged, along with the increased trade routes, it would certainly lead to what Daisuke wished for; adding his own contribution to his people's history. If things went well, this would mean access to other nations thereafter, and other powerful individuals. All from the strengthening of his weakening bloodline, and from spreading the mentality of the First Emperor, which Aizen seemed to share. Indeed, these were quite the promising prospects, and in the end, he was only left with one viable response...

"Very well. What you have told me is enough to convince me to attend that meeting. We will discuss things properly then. For now, that is best I can promise." Daisuke regally informed with keen, hardened eyes.

"And that is already a great deal, Goto-dono." Aizen sincerely replied with a bow at the waist.

"Umu... Now, unless you have anything else to discuss, I believe you should leave."

Aizen confidently smirked, briefly looking at Rukia and then back Daisuke, before giving the young Emperor a nod before vanishing through the same type of portal that had brought him.

"Thank you. For having taken the time to listen to him and for deciding to allow me to stay here." Rukia said with deep bow.

"Hmph... It isn't that simple. You did set me up, and while this isn't enough for me to call off the wedding, especially after I agreed to go to this meeting, I do want to know more about him, and more about you." Daisuke said, motioning Rukia to sit on the bed next to him.

"Aizen-sama already told you much, and what is left to be said will be revealed in the meeting. That is another reason to put all of Aizen-sama's allies on the same level when it comes to knowledge." Rukia contritely replied.

"Even so, I want to know more, Rukia-san." Daisuke resolutely said, his willful gaze easily telling her that he won't back down.

"Hm... If I speak of me, will it be enough?"

"Depends on what you have to say."

"Well... This is something that we usually don't discuss, since we have our lives and live as we are, but it is known to us that people like me, Byakuya, Renji and others, are not real people per-se. We were created by Aizen-sama, similarly to how the ones known to you as 'Players', created the beings called 'NPCs'. We then serve him and the Espada as he sees fit." Rukia informed in a neutral tone, surprising Daisuke.

"Hold a moment. Are the Espada not like that?"

"Aizen-sama will probably explain it better later, but no. Most of them, were once full-humans, that Aizen-sama fused with different monsters and beasts, to create superior fighters."

"He... can do that much?"

"He can. I am not at liberty to say how, but Aizen-sama is that powerful and capable."

A small smirk curled the edges of Daisuke's lips, and his eyes lit up with an intense and unique intensity, much to Rukia's surprise. The young Emperor was incredibly fascinated by this bit of information. For Rukia to be an existence similar to NPCs, that was created in this world when, from what he knew creating NPCs, outside of summons, wasn't possible anymore. On top of that, Aizen had somehow found a way to fuse two beings to enhance one of them to a much grander degree. Taking into account how strong Rukia was, what he knew of the power levels of the North, and how the Espada managed to defeat the Yasei no Kari, it was simply amazing.

Aizen was clearly a very capable, intelligent, and powerful man, which showed that Daisuke had made the right decision when he decided to engage in conversation and make sure things went in an amiable way. A great sense of relief washed over him as these realizations came to him, and could in a way imagine his ancestors looking down at him in approval of his decision. This only gave him further reason to go to the meeting and see what Aizen truly had to offer.

"I see. He is certainly someone that cannot be taken lightly. Still, I think this night has already been very taxing, on both of us, so perhaps we should get some sleep. Tomorrow, I will explain the situation to my subordinates and prepare for this meeting." Daisuke informed, disrobing.

"As you wish. Should I..."

Rukia had given as much information as she was comfortable with, however even if Daisuke seemed pleased, she was unsure if she should remain in the room, or go sleep somewhere else.

"We are husband and wife, Rukia-san. You should sleep by my side." He calmly said, already lying in bed.

"I... Thank you."

With that Rukia also disrobed and joined Daisuke in the bed. Nothing else happened outside of both getting some sleep after what had been a very long day. Although Daisuke's sleep wasn't all that relaxed, since he now knew that he had to explain to his subordinates the situation and make sure they too understood how this could be significant for them. It wasn't like he feared that they would go against his wishes. It was more that he knew that he would need to present things in a proper manner as their Emperor and superior. A prospect he did not look forward to.

After momentarily returning to Las Noches, Aizen returned to their Roble Holy Kingdom base. More specifically to his room where, as expected Amelia, was currently waiting for him, having freed herself of her own clothes and placed herself beneath the bedsheets.

"Welcome~" She greeted with a mischievous tone.

"Amelia, what do I owe the pleasure?" Aizen asked with a light chuckle.

"Hah-hah~! Well, I wasn't going to wait too long to ask you how this rather aggressive approach to things went." Amelia replied with a laugh.

"As planned, I made my appearance after they had consummated their marriage, spoke with the Emperor. He agreed to attend the meeting."

"Don't hold out on me like that. I can only imagine that he wasn't all that pleased knowing his wife was a spy and having you walk in on them."

"Rukia's impressions of him when she met him during her final exam were correct. Though young, he is a very capable ruler. While I'm sure that has to do with how he was taught and the people around him, he has ability. As a smart and capable ruler, he did well to control his anger and displeasure at the situation, which allowed the conversation to progress, and him agreeing to aid us, depending on how the meeting goes." Aizen replied in satisfaction.

"Then perhaps you should have gone with my suggestion of letting Rukia convince him meet you." Amelia smugly pointed out.

"That would have taken time and after meeting him, I'm unsure of how able Rukia would have been to properly convince him in time. Especially when we are trying to do things by goals and phases."

"Fair enough. Still, you were lucky he was so open to the idea." Amelia chuckled, as Aizen started to undress.

"This wouldn't be the first time we have taken risks or improvised with the situation. It was never out of our control. It just diverted slightly from the expected course."

"Confident as always~ Still, let's hope we are as lucky when we reveal to the Platinum Dragon Lord how much we have been holding back from him."

"He too knows better. He has lived with these 'Players' appearing his entire life, and knows the risks of attacking without knowing their full potential. It's why he allowed Cthalpi and her Deep Ones to exist this long. As planned, we will use his cautiousness to give us time to explain things and win him to our side. Afterward, he will speak with the rest of their Council, and eventually the Argland Council States will align with us."

"Yes, I agree that he won't do anything right away. But that doesn't stop him from trying to pull a fast one on us, like he did with 'Nazz'. I guess, that does justify getting the things across to him as clearly as possible. Not that he would stand a chance against you, that is." Amelia mused, as Aizen now laid next to her.

"I would prefer not to have to see that fight through. Especially if it turned him and several other Dragon Councilors against us. That would mean losses to the Espada, and risks exposing all we have built so far." Aizen matter-of-factly said, joining her in bed.

"Still, we have to plan this perfectly. Having all these beings in the same place at the same time? Could get dangerous fast." Amelia said, her hands starting to travel his body.

"I am well aware. I'm sure you are very interested to see how things unfold, and be in the presence of a formidable Emperor and Dragon Lord." Aizen remarked in amusement.

"You know I am~" Amelia chuckled, before vanishing under the sheets.

With that the night came to a conclusion. Despite the rather unorthodox approach, Aizen had gotten the attention of another possible ally, meaning all he had to do now was prepare for the meeting between all these powerful individuals and hopefully gain the support of Daisuke and the Platinum Dragon Lord, which would considerably add to what he had already gained in the Player Cthalpi, and his double-agent Princess Renner. Yes, it was a very fruitful evening.
