Within the same span of time, both wars in the Re-Estize and Dragon Kingdoms had come to an end. Although the one to have the swiftest of conclusions was the one that saw the debut of Ainz Ooal Gown upon the internally stage. The impact of the full realization of the power he wielded as shook those aware of it, justifying the 3-day long break Aizen gave the Espada.

Amelia however wasn't as lucky, as she instead locked herself in her office, trying to get some documents reviewed and finished, before letting her attention wander to an unspecified corner of the room and then turning to a few drinks. She was not inebriated, but was certainly in a uniquely thoughtful state, waiting for Aizen to return from the Dragon Kingdom and clear a few things up for her.

Even with all they had learned about Nazarick, never would she have imagined that the Annual War at the Katze Plains would turn into a massacre on that scale. After all, despite Aizen's great strength, the idea never truly matched the reality, until now. Eventually, her thoughts came to an abrupt end when a portal from Las Noches opened near the office door, from where a calm and composed Aizen emerged. The portal closing behind him, he nonchalantly walked up to the desk and took one of the chairs opposite Amelia as she straightened herself in her seat.

"There you are, Aizen." She mumbled.

"Indeed. I have already informed the Espada in the Dragon Kingdom of what happened at the Plains. Though I had to wait for a calmer moment after their battle to tell them." Aizen informed, still as calm and composed as ever.

"That's... That's good..." She wearily said, her eyes keenly looking over Aizen.

"What happened... was always a possibility."

Having worded his thoughts, Aizen earned himself a more energetic reaction from Amelia who threw a pen at him, which he easily caught and put back on the table with a swift motion.

"I know I've said a lot about my father, but I've never been more thankful for him being alive. And honestly? It wouldn't surprise me if the Count dies when he hears about all the people that died... It's just... Too much for the average person." Amelia admitted, with a weary sigh.

"You're worried about Ada?" Aizen softly asked.

"Naturally. But at least they moved here since the Demonic Disturbance, so she's alive... But we should wait on that end... Tch~! You said it was a 'possibility', but were you honestly expecting something of this scale?" Amelia asked, downing the glass that was resting next to her.

"As I said, it was a possibility. Though I can't say I imagined such a large body count. A showing of power made sense, as it seemed an opportune first step towards expanding their presence in the world. However, this was a needlessly messy showing of such strength. Almost amateurish, if I must be honest about this whole affair."

"What? Like... he was showing off?" Amelia mused, refilling her glass.

"Possibly... If his strategy is to rule through fear, it certainly helped. Even if it was not, it puts things into perspective for those that might consider attacking him and his own." Aizen calmly theorized.

"Right. So, that leads me to a question; because for us everything has been going well, with the Espada, with this war in the Dragon Kingdom that'll further increase our fame, and we've been very careful as per your vision. But I have to ask, wouldn't you have been able to stop that massacre?" Amelia frankly asked, eyeing Aizen as she poured another drink.

"Yes. That being said, as we have established from the information Cthalpi got from the one known as Akemi, Nazarick is a powerful foe that in the past, managed to stop a force of 1,500 beings similar to herself in terms of strength. While I am confident in my own personal power, there are still things we do not know about Nazarick, its denizens, and the items and weapons they have, so to have stopped the massacre would have led to two things. We killed the enemy leader, leaving behind a group of powerful beings wanting revenge, and a battle of that scale so close to E-Rantel would have led to even more casualties, and a land scorched barren in such a conflict." Aizen matter-of-factly replied.

"So, we wait?" Amelia asked, holding the glass tightly in her hand.

"Indeed. Now that we have brought the Elder Coffin Dragon Lord into the fold, we will have an easier time gathering bodies to build up our own forces for 'Project Spearhead', to counter Nazarick's force of 'POPs', as Cthalpi called them. Meanwhile, the Espada and I focus stronger opponents. So as before, we wait and bide our time to bolster our numbers and increase our strength. Even after this, if combat is to happen, we cannot be the ones to make the first act of aggression. We need them to attack first, so as to justify a hostile reaction from us. Not only for Ainz's point-of-view, but for the world at large as well."

Downing her glass, Amelia's eyes locked on Aizen's as she processed his reasoning, and how she should have expected him to say all of this. That he could have stopped the massacre didn't surprise her. While she had never seen him in a real fight, at this point Aizen felt boundless and that he could have done it just reinforced that.

Although coincidentally, it indeed would have been too much of a risk, as Ainz would have had reinforcements in wait if Aizen had acted. Regardless of who won, it would have led to the worst-case scenario for all involved. As Amelia thought on this, she could only curse those morons in the Kingdom. Princess Renner sent them a copy of the Slane Theocracy's missive that carefully worded how the strongest human nation was not going to antagonize Ainz Ooal Gown on a national level. Those empty-headed fools should have realized the danger from that alone.

"I… I know that you're right. But this is still a bit much. I think I need a break." Amelia admitted with a deflated sigh.

"As you wish. Take as many days as you see fit in order to decompress. I can manage things or have a duplicate do so in your absence." Aizen cordially said.

"Yes... I should check up on Ada... Maybe finally go see the South. I think you understand."

"I do, Amelia. That is why I'm not trying to change your mind. You need time to recover."

Their conversation didn't go further than this, as Amelia took this chance to leave and rest. Later, as she had feared, when the news of the Massacre reached the Count and Ada, the Count suffered a severe heart-attack and died shortly thereafter. Ada, just a few days after inheriting all the Count's resources, placed it all in Amelia's name since even if both never worded it, they had been like mother and daughter in many respects. With nothing else left to hold her there, Ada finally returned home to the island.

As Amelia went on to spend several days resting after the massacre, Aizen knew that the Holy Kingdom's isolated nature meant a delay in information being delivered about the battle. It was yet another opening for meeting with Queen Calca Bessarez. While he had been seeing her as often as possible to ensure her feelings for him steadily grew, the fact that he had to share such important information meant that he could have even more productive meetings with her.

Currently, their growing relationship was still very much a secret. Although Kelart and Remedios Custodio, along with other servants in the palace, had concluded that their Queen was meeting with someone in the gardens, since it had turned into a routine, Aizen's clandestine efforts had made it impossible for them to find out who was meeting with their Queen.

Indeed, even for the Custodio sisters, it was surprising that not only someone was so easily getting past them, but that whoever it was, was influencing their Queen. She was growing more direct and firmer in her decisions, whilst clearly instructing her on certain political matters. It was both a pleasant surprise and a worry for them. Although more so for Remedios than Kelart.

Sitting on the bench in the small clearing of the Royal Garden, Calca was excitedly waiting for the arrival of the man who she had shared her first kiss with. A joy that honestly, she had not expected to come to her so soon in her life. The wait was brief because as always, after a few minutes after she sat down, Aizen would emerge from the nearby trees, appearing out of nowhere like a vision. Yet displaying unmatched presence, even for someone of her rank.

With a smile, he smoothly and swiftly approached her, to which she rose to her feet, her cheeks blushed, the two coming together when Aizen gave her a polite bow and somehow made a white rose appear in his right-hand.

"For you." He charmingly said.

"O-Oh, my~" She mumbled, taking the rose from his hand.

"Let us sit."

Rising from his bow, Aizen took a seat, all the while reminding a still flustered Calca to do the same, which she promptly did. Sitting to his left, she took the time to bask in the rose's sweet aroma, and as usual it smelled divine.

"I apologize for having neglected our meetings for the past few days. I have been busy with work as of late." Aizen gently said.

"O-Oh, not at all.~ I understand that as the leader of the Espada you must be very busy, so it would only be selfish of me to want you to be available every day." Calca quickly argued.

"As always, I am thankful for your kindness. However, as Queen, there is nothing wrong about being selfish very once in a while. After all, even a Queen has her needs."

As he said this, Aizen directed his gaze to Calca, who did the same thing only to once again blush and direct her gaze back to the rose, since she could swear that his piercing eyes were focused on her lips.

"Ahem~! So, you have said... Still, I should also be thankful for you being able to spend this time with me." Calca quickly replied.

"It is my pleasure."

At this she let out an almost defeated sigh, since if there was anything, she had learned during her time with Aizen was how he could be very good with words. Especially when talking to her. Which mostly led to situations where she felt almost like a fool when compared to his smooth tone and manner.

"That being said, I have also come here to ask if you have received any information regarding the Annual War between the Re-Estize Kingdom and the Baharuth Empire." Aizen said with a more serious tone.

"Pardon? Well, we haven't received anything so far. But it usually takes some time after the actual battle for us to hear anything." Calca replied, noting how Aizen was more serious.

"The usual then. In that case, I have something very serious to tell you, and I ask you, as Queen of your Kingdom, to be strong as I tell you what has happened. Do you understand?"

Reaching out, Aizen took her right-hand in his, holding it lightly while using his fingers to caress her. Something that, while comforting, was only making Calca's concerns grow.

"I appreciate the warning, but you are starting to worry me, Aizen." She admitted in trepidation.

Her remark made Aizen slowly and gently pull his hand away. As if he had done something wrong, which made Calca almost immediately regret what she said, since it felt like she might have spoken out of turn.

"I apologize if it felt as if I was coddling you. That was not my intention..." Aizen gently said, pausing as he made it seem as if he was gathering his thoughts.

"I believe I had previously told you how, through our contacts, the Espada learned that a magic-caster known as 'Ainz Ooal Gown' had joined in on the Empire's side. He, well 'it' may be the best word, since our information says that Ainz is an undead, is not only an incredible magic-caster, but one that has reached a level far beyond what most could imagine. At the battle's start he used an known summoning spell, calling forth five massive and powerful creatures that annihilated the Kingdom's army, leading to the deaths of over 150,000 people. The Kingdom's Warrior-Captain Gazef Stronoff soon followed, after he challenged Ainz to single-combat."

Aizen spoke in a firm and direct manner, all the while doing his best to not sound cold, but pragmatic. He did this since his plan in no way involved downplaying or hampering Calca, but to do the opposite; to lift her up and bring out her true worth and potential as a ruler. All while being by her side and showing her his worth and dedication. Despite his plan involving him becoming her lover and eventually King, he needed Calca to remain relevant and capable in the eyes of the people and her supporters.

Meanwhile, in the face of the dire news, Calca froze in place. Her mind briefly went blank just before it was occupied by images of fields filled with the dead, her face going pale at the image and her grip on Aizen's rose lessening as it fell to the ground. It was a horrific thing to hear, and it left her unable to move or even cry, for even that felt like too little a response to what Aizen told her. It was too much! Too much for her to consider and even process. Her eyes went to the fallen rose as her head hung low, blank in expression.

Aizen's words made her wonder at what could be done, and how she could even consider doing anything as Queen when the world so wide that something like Ainz existed, and so close to her homeland. A homeland that even now had to contend with hostile demi-humans from the Abelion Hills.

"I know that it is a lot to process, my Queen. However, you need to be strong." Aizen said, again taking her hand in his.

"I-I know I do, but to even ponder on such a thing, boggles the mind. How can a single magic-caster cast such a spell?" Calca argued, her eyes wide in a panic.

"Indeed, he is that strong, but you need to focus on the fact that he isn't here, and he clearly has focus elsewhere." He calmly retorted, feeling her hand tighten on his.

"H-How can you say that!? All those people... They are dead!" She snapped back, panic and grief clear in her voice.

"They are, and it is a tragedy, but do not let your emotions get the better of you at a time like this. Focus on processing the information, show your stance on the situation to the Kingdom with some kind of statement, if need be, but now is the time for you to take a breath, gather more information through the sources I can provide, and even a break if need be. Consult with your trusted aides and push on as the ruler of this nation." Aizen replied, remaining calm.

"It is far too much... I-I should go and consult with Kelart..."

Clearly in a desperate state of mind, Calca suddenly pulled away from Aizen and got to her feet, just to stop and then look around considering if that was really the best thing to do.

"Naturally, she is quite capable, but do not neglect your own thoughts and standing on the matter." Aizen argued, also getting to his feet as he stood by her side.

"How? How can you be so calm? You seem... unfazed by this." Calca pointed out, facing him.

"I have had more time to internalize it, but please do not think I am in any way downplaying the nature of the events. Far from it. Yet at the same time, I need to keep a measure of composure, if not for myself, but for those around me. It is my duty. A duty you must also bear as Queen, is it not?"

"I... As always you leave me speechless."

With a sigh, Calca retook her seat, with Aizen promptly rejoining her. His strength was amazing, and his words rang true. She was certain that it was exactly what a true ruler needed; to remain firm, and able to withstand even the worst of situations for the wellbeing of their nation. Calca was unsure if she had that kind of strength in her, yet now she could see that clearly those around her thought that she had, including the man sitting to her side right now.

"You really think that I can be like that?"

"I can only attest to what I've seen, and to what others seem to think of you, but my answer would be, yes. I believe that you have everything that it takes to be a great Queen You need only assert yourself more." Aizen replied, giving her a warm and charming smile.

Feeling her face heat up again, Calca again looked around briefly thinking of what she should do, until she finally decided to place herself closer to Aizen, wrap her arms around his left-arm and then rest her head on his shoulder.

"Perhaps. But I do not see myself doing that by myself." She admitted with a sigh.

"You aren't alone. You are surrounded by great aides." Aizen pointed out in reassurance.

"T-That is not what I meant!" She retorted, longingly looking up at him.

"My apologies, I misunderstood." Aizen chuckled, putting on a more innocent act.

"I... I want you to stand by me. These meetings are wonderful, but I want to know that we are linked by more than just this, my... beloved."

Reaching up with her left-hand, Calca slowly placed it on Aizen's face, holding him close as she lifted herself to give him another kiss, which was little more than on a brief touching of their lips. It was a quick, but very passionate moment for her, and when she pulled away, her face reddened, her eyes briefly went down waiting for Aizen to say something.

"I would be honored to formalize our relationship, my dear."

"R-Really!? I mean... I'm glad that you think the same. Still, I hope you do not mind if I keep it private for a little while longer." Calca added, sounding a bit more concerned.

"Not at all. I am not unaware of our positions after all."

"Good. As you know many would have things to say, about the Queen suddenly taking on a foreign lover. So, the political consequences, without proper preparations, could be significant." She explained in uncharacteristic conviction and confidence.

"I understand perfectly."

"Thank you. I'll also speak with you later about informing those closer to me about you." Calca said, getting to her feet.

"Oh? Is it time for us to part already?" Aizen asked, following suit.

"I have much to prepare in light of this newest information." She admitted with a somewhat worried look.

"I understand. Just be mindful to not act openly on this until your usual sources give you more information. It will give you more time to think."

"Indeed. If that is all, I should get going."

However, she didn't move right away, as if waiting for Aizen to do something, but when he didn't, she let out a low sigh. Preparing to turn away, it was when Aizen closed the distance between them. What followed was far more than just a simple touch of the lips, before Aizen pulled away from a passionate kiss, the young Queen needed a moment to regain her breath.

"I... I did not know it could be that... intense!" She admitted, her face reddened.

"It's just a showing of my feelings... beloved." Aizen retorted with a smile.

His tone indicated that things could get even more intense and the simple thought of what that could mean, prompted Calca to give him a bow and distance herself from him, before she made her inexperienced self look even worse in front of her lover.

Letting out a chuckle at the Queen's innocent antics, Aizen took his leave. Concurrently, Calca made her way out of the garden, and was now usual after her meetings with Aizen was greeted by guards and the Custodio sisters. As usual the guards didn't really seem to know what to do outside of standing there. Kelart had her usual pleasant smile and expression, while Remedios had her arms crossed, still not pleased at not knowing who the Queen had been with.

"You seem a bit flushed." Kelart pointed out in subtle mischief, as Calca approached them.

"I am!? Oh... I am..."

Calca was still regaining her composure, her hands going to her face as she felt the heat around her cheeks and then her hands went to her lips, as she thought back to what had happened. Yet with the guards there and the sisters, she knew that she couldn't stay like this for too long, as she straightened her composure, fixing her posture, and let out a calming breath.

"The guards are dismissed. Kelart and Remedios? I need your time, since I have just been informed of something very important."

Her tone had suddenly turned serious, and after fixing her posture Calca had a much more determined air about her. The strangeness and suddenness of the display was enough for the guards to do as they were told, whilst showing the Custodio sisters that once more, whoever Calca spoke to had left another impression on her. Still, they weren't going to argue with her. Not when she looked so determined, and even the thick-headed Remedios understood that there was meaning to Calca's newfound resolve.

In the Dragon Kingdom, it took some days after the liberation of Asike for celebrations for the end of a long and bloody war with the Beastman Country to begin. The reason was the need to secure Asike and its surrounding territories, the need to establish border patrols in case the beastmen went back on the offensive, to properly dispose of corpses, and to recall what troops could be spared back to the capital.

It was those that first managed to arrive at the Dragon Kingdom's capital at the start of the celebrations, involving the Espada, what was left of Crystal Tear, Labrax, Elim and his group, Commander Abel, and the forces of the Empire, among others, that were able to see quite the surprise. To open the celebrations came the Prime Minister Falko Kemuel Jantzi and a woman none had ever seen before, who introduced herself as Queen Draudillon Oriculus, which was at first was met with disbelief. Except for Cerabrate, who recognized her as Nazz's witness.

As the woman continued to speak about the war and the efforts made to end it, it became clear that she was indeed the Queen. It was made even clearer when she explained how she had been hiding herself in the form of a child in an act she admitted being cowardly, despite it being necessary. Nevertheless, her graceful and more energetic attitude had her audience captivated. Despite Cerabrate's shock, all helped to further enhance to their feeling of victory.

Another revelation that took most by surprise, was the fact that the Queen was with child, which was revealed by her, with bells tolling to inform those in the distance. While the father wasn't revealed, Draudillon made it clear that there was no need to worry, since her lover was a strong man, and her children would be strong just like him.

Unfortunately for Nazz, he wasn't going to be able to partake of the celebrations right away. So while he was present at the festivities' opening, he had to spend 3-days in the cavern that held the Ith Tokeq, or "Lord's Vault", along with the human avatar of the Elder Coffin Dragon Lord, as the latter opened it.

Indeed, even for a master of [Wild Magic] like Zyl'vryg Grayl'dranth, in order to minimize the risk to everyone in the immediate area, 3-days minimum was needed to open the vault with relative safety. The vault's complexity was a testament to the power of the Brightness Dragon Lord, while its opening was a testament to the power of the Elder Coffin Dragon Lord.

Upon the third day, Falko, Draudillon, and Elizabeth went down to the cavern where Zyl'vryg's avatar was standing next to the glistening metallic wall, with a draconic mural that served as the path to the vault. His arms extended as his aura permeated through him and the wall, as Nazz stood a few feet away from his fellow Dragon Lord's avatar, not wanting to risk his presence interfering with the process.

"So, it is close to being opened?" Draudillon asked in veiled awe, approaching Nazz.

"It is." He plainly replied.

Waiting about 5-minutes more, the aura from the Elder Coffin Dragon Lord dissipated, and with it the general sense of menace emanating from the vault that they both felt. Dropping his arms to the side, the avatar of the undead dragon turned on his heel to look at the newly arrived group and nodded as he greeted them.

"Welcome. The process is almost complete, but as I have heard while unlocking the Ith Tokeq, to 'turn the key' as it were, a blood relative is needed. One who can use [Wild Magic]. Safe to say that as things are now, Your Highness will be more than suited for this."

With a smirk on his face, he took a step to the side and motioned for Draudillon to approach, which left the Queen mildly apprehensive as she looked up to her lover.

"Is that really necessary?" Nazz skeptically asked.

"Of course. I wouldn't waste my time subterfuge. I'm sure it must be hard for you to understand, but sometimes a ruler needs to do things for themselves." Zyl'vryg retorted with a chuckle.

"You..." Nazz indignantly began, when Draudillon's raised hand silenced him.

"There is no need for that. I just need to pour my energy into it, correct?" She resolutely asked as she approached the vault.

"Indeed. Place your hand and let the energy flow." Zyl'vryg replied, taking a step back.

Giving him a nod, Draudillon placed her hand on the vault and let her magic pour into it, causing the depiction of the dragon on it to faintly glow.

"On that remark about a ruler needing to 'do things for themselves', you're not wrong. Although, isn't the fact that you are here doing this for us a sign that you can do little else than attack people's egos?" Draudillon mused, looking at the avatar with a smirk.

"Oh, dear." Nazz chuckled.

"Indeed." Zyl'vryg replied with an amused chuckle.

As more of her energy poured into the mural, it focused on the mouth of the dragon depiction, which eventually opened outwards, revealing to all present its contents, and the sight was breathtaking. It was enough for Draudillon, Falko, and Elizabeth to fall to their knees, openly weeping at the sight of the vault's contents. Even Nazz was surprised, while Zyl'vryg was just a bit displeased with the quantity and quality of things he wouldn't be able to get his hands on.

Inside the vault were several rooms, but just from the entrance one could see piles of coins of all different types. Some of which were from long dead countries. There were statues depicting all manner of entities and scenes, different paintings, and other items that were clearly magical in nature. Needless to say, the Dragon Kingdom's financial problems certainly weren't looking as insurmountable, now that they had gotten their hands on this hidden treasury.

"I suppose I am free to go now?" Zyl'vryg asked, approaching the Espada.

"I thought you would ask to see what was inside."

"I wasn't sure if I could, but from your tone I surmise that you wouldn't let me."

"Hmph... Indeed... Perhaps it is best you get going."

"Naturally. However, Aizen might have interest in whatever tomes and magic items are inside. After all, we are talking about relics from other eras. Could be useful."

Giving the Espada a nod, the Elder Coffin Dragon Lord took his leave, as Nazz admitted to himself that the suggestion about those items being a good one. However, that would be left for later, since now he had to contend with Draudillon's happiness and a preliminary search through the vault.

After a week of celebrations, different rewards and titles were given to those who partook in the final battle, including Abel who was given the rank and station of General. With the increase of status and coin allowing him to recover his daughter from his former wife. The Empire's Commander Jean-Peire Picard was given the key and deed to the city that would be given to the Baharuth Empire as a prize for their role in the war, and most especially the final battle.

As the Espada, their farewells were scattered throughout the Dragon Kingdom, since they made meaningful connections with people who were currently in different areas. The only one that wouldn't depart was Sajin, who as the Beastman Country's new King, was going to remain there for a long time, now that it was essentially a puppet state for Aizen.

Carmyn and Inon went about trying to find the now General Abel Cujo, and despite him having just gotten his daughter back, the newly minted General was found standing over the city walls, overseeing a unit of soldiers gathering to perform border patrols under his careful watch. Upon seeing the Espada approach, Abel promptly dismissed the man he was speaking with and turned his full attention to the two individuals that had helped him come this far.

"I heard that you were leaving. I'm glad that you managed to come here before you did, since I will be getting busy shortly." Abel said, greeting them with a kind smile.

"I'm surprised that they would send you out, after you recovered your daughter." Carmyn remarked with a head-tilt.

"It's a shame, but after enjoying a week of relaxation and recovering my daughter, my country asks me to perform the duties that come with my position. It isn't pleasant, but it is what it is. At least now I can afford expert care for my daughter in my absences." He said with a weary sigh.

"Right. Well, we just came to see how you were doing, and say our goodbyes." Carmyn plainly said.

"Of course, I do not want to keep you. But... We have known each other for some time Carmyn, and you have helped me more than most. I know I wouldn't be here if not for you. However, I do not wish to overstep by bounds, and that is why I ask if it would be possible for me to hug you." Abel said.

For a moment Carmyn did nothing beyond blinking her eyes a few times. Looking briefly at Inon he simply shrugged, and then looked back at Abel, who possessed an expression that said that he wasn't expecting any type of reply.

"Oh, dear. Such complications over a hug. Come here." She said, rolling her eyes as she stiffly lifted her arms.

Giving her a nod, Abel didn't hold back, getting on his knees as he wrapped his arms around Carmyn's smaller frame, and her slowly wrapping her arms around him. Inon stepped back, unsure of how to react to the touching scene. Carmyn, despite putting her arms around the man, also looked rather surprised since it had been sometime since she had been shown and felt such raw emotion.

Things only got more complicated for her when Abel started audibly sobbing. Something she certainly did not expect, and would even see as unfit for a man of his status under different circumstances. Yet even she couldn't ignore the truth of his feelings when he began speaking.

"Thank you, Carmyn... Thank you for noticing me. For giving me a way to showcase my worth, to rise through the ranks, to come home alive and be with my daughter again..."

Abel spoke through muffled sobs and restrained tears, and not even the elder Carmyn was so cold or detached from emotion to ignore the impact she had in this man's life. Keeping that in mind, she tightened her hold on him and used a hand to caress his hair, all the while whispering into his ear.

"I just helped what was already there flourish. Nothing more, nothing less. So, don't go thinking that you only got here because of me or that you owe me anything."

The two of them stayed like this for a few seconds more, when Abel finally took a step back, haphazardly wiping away his tears as he straightened his posture and turned his attention to Inon, extending his hand to the massive Espada who replied in kind.

"Take care of her."

"Of course. We take care of each other, so you needn't worry." Inon warmly said.

"Hmph~! Indeed. I am not that fragile." Carmyn pridefully huffed.

"My apologies. But no matter what you say I do owe you a lot. I can assure you that if you ever return to the Dragon Kingdom, for whatever reason, I will be at your disposal." Abel sincerely said.

"And if you ever want to change in career, you know who to see. Take care Abel." Carmyn gently replied.

With that the two Espada turned and started to walk away, while Abel saluted them and let out a mighty cry as he instructed his soldiers down below to do the same, seeing these two heroes off with the praise they deserved.

In another side of the capital, Leinas and Elim made their way to the roof of the inn the couple had been staying at during the celebrations. After waking up, showering, and gotten breakfast, they went to the roof with Leinas taking a seat next to its edge, and watched as Elim tried to think of what to say.

"I don't think there is that much to say, after what we said before the battle. I go, you stay, and you try to do the best you can here so that I can come back here from time-to-time, until my role as an Espada is done." Leinas softly remarked.

"I know that. But... there's something else we left for after the battle."

With a sigh Elim's hand went into his pocket, from where he revealed a simple, gold-colored ring, and it's sudden appearance causing Leinas' eyes to widen as her memory of that part of their conversation was rekindled.

"I..." Leinas went to say, when Elim got close to her.

"I don't want to make it seem as if I'm imposing anything on you. That was never my goal. But I don't want to let you go before I show you my feelings and how genuine I am about them." He resolutely said, whilst looking at the ring that rested in his hand.

"There is no need for that. If anything, I should be the one to make it clear." Leinas retorted, getting to her feet.

Not wanting Elim to focus on the symbolism of the ring, Leinas took his hands in hers, and took a deep breath as she tried to gather her thoughts and properly express them. Especially after Elim showed himself so open and determined to do the same.

"Before I said how you were the second-best thing that ever happened to me. While you seemed accepting of that, I admit that it was a tactless thing to say. That is why I want to tell you that no matter what our jobs are, what the difference in strength is or where we are, you Elim, are the one for me, above all others. More than friendship or pity, you've shown me true love and affection. Even more than my own family... So I want you to know that I love you."

With those final words leaving her mouth, Leinas found herself lightly sobbing, with Elim doing the same even if he was clearly doing his best not to just break down.

"That's a nice thing to say. Hehe... Thanks."

With an awkward laugh the duo separated, Elim's remark having given the moment some levity, with Leinas letting out some loud laughs at the words he had chosen to voice his appreciation.

"I feel the same way, Leinas. While our first meeting all that time ago was peculiar to say the least, I'm happy that we crossed paths again during this war. That we found each other as it were. I love you too, and I don't want that to change." Elim added, as they regained their composure.

"So please, keep the ring for the time being. I'm not saying 'no' to anything, but... it feels too soon for it. I won't go around with anyone else, nor do I want to. But that ring is... a big commitment. Especially for us in such dangerous professions." Leinas said in a heartfelt tone, using her hands to clear the tears from Elim's face.

"Heh. I guess you're right. I just wanted... I guess this is what I wanted really. Just a moment for us to be transparent before you go."

A warm silence followed this, which was suddenly brought to an end when Elim started to openly cry. While his tears were those of happiness, for anyone not aware of the situation it would be easy to mistake him for a man who just got dumped.

"I'm sorry... I guess I just get really emotional... sometimes..."

"I've seen you like this though." Leinas remarked, unsure of what to do.

"I know... I just... It's just strange to know that you will be going... Not being able to see you for so long..."

Touched by his words, and not wanting to get any unwanted attention, Leinas looked around, giving the situation some thought before ultimately deciding to close the distance and comfort her lover with an embrace.

"That's fine... Let it all out..." She comfortingly said.

"Oh, by the gods... I'm... just leaving the worst impression..." Elim both laughed and cried.

"It's fine, it moves me... how much you care for me." Leinas said, as she too started to cry in a more controlled fashion.

"It's not that hard to care for you."

Pulling himself away from her embrace, but in a way that her arms were still around him and his around her, Elim controlled his tears, looked her in the eyes and kissed her.

"Heh. Don't pay too much attention to me overreacting. Just be safe and come see me when you can. I'll be here, enjoying being a war-hero, and waiting."

This time it was Leinas that seemed to be holding back a major outburst of emotion, as her usually controlled expression reddened, seemingly ready to burst as silent tears streamed down her face.

"I'll do my best to keep safe, and I can assure you that I'll come to visit. But for now... For now... Let me just enjoy this happiness. More than revenge, more than being freed of a curse, let me enjoy the love you've given me."

Getting back into a close and tight hug, the two simply stood in place, allowing their emotions to flow freely, no longer paying attention to their surroundings or time, as they said goodbye to each other for now...

Meanwhile Nazz, or rather Naz'da'gar Cyddrunarth, also found the need to exchange goodbyes with the Queen and future mother of his children, Draudillon Oriculus. It was only fitting they would part ways in the Espada's lair, ceasing their regular meetings face-to-face for the time being. Wearing a simple dress, Draudillon watched as the Espada's large dragonoid form sat on what was now their bed, in her hands a small, golden ornate box which she had acquired from the recently opened vault.

"That has a fine shine to it." Naz'da'gar remarked, scratching his jaw.

"I thought so too. It plays music when opened. I thought that it would be a good farewell gift, and a way to give you something to remember me by." Draudillon sweetly explained, approaching him.

"Thank you. I shall treasure it."

Extending his large hands, Draudillon placed it on them, with the Dragon Lord holding it in his right-hand, while opening the lid with the left, revealing inside a complex series of enchanted gears that started to slowly move and mesh together to form a calm and beautiful melody.

"I hope so. Since I don't want to see it in any of the other piles of artifacts you have here." Draudillon said whilst motioning around, as she took a seat on his lap.

"I wouldn't dream of it. But I will put it aside for now~"

With a chuckle, Naz'da'gar let the box remain open and playing as he placed it aside, and used an arm to help support Draudillon. His other hand went to her stomach so as to feel his children that were developing in her womb. The Queen rested her head on his chest and placed a hand over his, enjoying the silence of the moment, before she again spoke.

"Are you sure you do not mind, not revealing who the father of my children is?"

"Not at all. For now, it's simpler this way."

"Perhaps, but I would like to do it in the future. Maybe when the time comes that you aren't as bound to your duties as an Espada." Draudillon wistfully suggested.

"Perhaps, but as you know such things are beyond my control. Still, even with that being the case, I have no wish to neglect my duties as a father." Naz'da'gar very firmly reassured.

"I know. I'm sure that the gods themselves could come and wage war upon the world, and you would still make your way back to us."

While her remark was heartfelt, Draudillon still chuckled at how grand a statement she made, with her chuckles growing into brief laughter, and Naz'da'gar replying with a nervous chuckle himself as he spoke.

"That would be rather complicated."

"Just be safe and return to us, alright? It is still my wish to one day make you King, as is fitting for the father of my children."

"Hrmm... Given my past, I don't believe I'm the best choice for a King..." The Espada wearily remarked, just for the Queen to place a firm hand on his face.

"I care not for any of that. As the father of my children and the one I love, I want you by my side when the time comes. Can you fault me for that?" She asked, now with a more serious tone.

"Never." He softly said, taking her extended hand in his.

"Good."

With Naz'da'gar letting himself fall back in bed, the duo spent the rest of their time together in a mostly silent embrace, simply enjoying their presence before the Espada had to depart from the Dragon Kingdom.

Concluding all their necessary farewells, the Espada and Fracción took up their horses and carriages as they departed the Dragon Kingdom. This was necessary to ensure they would put enough distance between themselves and any witnesses, before Carmyn used teleportation magic to shorten their trip to the Re-Estize Kingdom, and from there they would board a ship to the Holy Kingdom.

While they could have easily made the trip without doing so, it was agreed that this method would not raise too many questions at how they arrived at their destination so quickly. Even if it was now common knowledge that Carmyn could use [Teleportation], supposedly only limited times a day, it was also known that spell had limitations on distance.

With the main body of the Espada arriving in the Holy Kingdom, Aizen sent out invitations for another summit with his allies. A week later, it happened upon a small island, with everyone involved sitting around a large, round table inside a blue and green tent. Just like before, great effort was taken into allowing Prince Renner to participate, since her allegiance to Nazarick still had her under the surveillance by a Shadow Demon.

The disposition was roughly the same as the previous meeting. Aizen was flanked by Renner to the left and Amelia to his right. To her right was Cthalpi in her human form and her descendant Eilyte, while to her right sat Rigrit Bers Caurau, with the Avatar of the Platinum Dragon Lord, Tsaindorcus Vaision, and then Azuth Aindra, now in more casual wear.

To Azuth's right was Dai Ukita and then Daisuke Goto, the young Emperor of southern nation of Koka no Shinku-Kokai, and to his right Doppo Ukita. The biggest change was after Doppo, sat the form of the red-haired human avatar of the Elder Coffin Dragon Lord, whose presence had the other three dragons in the meeting either very confused or perturbed. Next to that Dragon Lord was an almost mortified Sea Dragon, Karvi La Gama in his humanoid form. Finally, there was the armor that served as the Avatar for the Catastrophe Dragon Lord.

"Welcome. I would like to thank all of you for coming. And I would like to welcome our newest ally in Zyl'vryg Grayl'dranth. Also known as the Elder Coffin Dragon Lord." Aizen diplomatically said, giving his guests a brief bow.

"Oh, my~! Things are looking rather tense." Renner remarked with a low chuckle.

"After everything... I did not imagine myself sitting in the same room as the Elder Coffin Dragon Lord." Tsaindorcus wearily admitted.

"Agreed." Naz'da'gar flatly added.

"If it helps set you at ease Tsaindorcus, I likewise held no desire to be in the same room as you, avatar or otherwise." Zyl'vryg plainly retorted.

"Really..." Eilyte mumbled, crossing her arms at the jabs being thrown.

"Shall we move things along? Zyl'vryg has already been given the information discussed in the previous meeting, so I think after we conclude introductions, if he feels it needed, we can move on to the main purpose of this meeting." Aizen calmly informed, gaining nods of approval.

"Well, thanks to Aizen's introduction, you all know who I am. I will admit that it was my defeat that initially brought me here, but upon seeing such a fine lineup of key figures, I confess that all that happened was a worthwhile endeavor." The Elder Coffin Dragon Lord informed with a wry smile.

"Hmph! Watch your tongue." Naz'da'gar growled back, knowing that his elder was referring to the war, to which he pointedly ignored as he moved on.

"Outside of my status, I control several sources of information located in many nations. I am a necromancer and scholar."

"You are quite skilled." Daisuke mused with an analytical gaze and tone.

"I understand that we just met, but to say that I am 'skilled' is an oversimplification, Goto-dono." The Dragon Lord retorted with a respectful, yet cold tone.

"Such a bold thing to say to an Emperor.~" Rigrit remarked with a slight chuckle.

"It was simply a fact. No offense was intended. I have been following his work and I can say that he is quite capable, as is Princess Renner. Yourself as well. To have lived so long, is quite the achievement for a human."

"Thank you." The three said in various ways, even if his tone with the complements felt a bit backhanded.

"On that note, what is your take on Fluder Paradyne? I mean, he is quite the accomplished magic-caster himself and your remark about me left me curious." Rigrit said with a subtle smirk and hint of mischief.

"Hrm? Why is that?" Zyl'vryg asked back with a raised eyebrow.

"Well, he is also a very accomplished magic-caster, like Rigrit." Azuth explained with a relaxed smile.

"Hardly. Anyone whose proclaimed goal is to look into the 'abyss of magic' is a fool and a slave to his craft, inviting only disaster upon himself. Not so in Rigrit's case."

"That's... an interesting way to put it." Rigrit said, surprised like most present.

"It is the truth. Not even I, having spent centuries delving in magic and gathering knowledge, have lost focus on how things should be." Zyl'vryg said, leading to a rather awkward silence.

"Since everyone has taken a turn, do you have anything to say about us?" Cthalpi asked in mild curiosity.

"Admittedly, my knowledge only comes from what I was given before coming here. I was aware of an island going missing, but decided not to risk looking into it. That said, I do not share the same dislike that many other Dragon Lords have towards your kind. I find what you have achieved to be fascinating, in its own way."

"I see... At least that did not sound as backhanded as it did for the rest. Thank you."

"If that is all, we should move things along." Amelia dryly said with a sigh.

"Of course. I have nothing else to add at the moment." Zyl'vryg acknowledged.

"Good. Aizen, if you would...?"

"Before we begin, I am curious if you have nothing to say about Amelia." Aizen remarked with a subtle smirk.

"About the human that you have chosen as your right-hand above anyone else here? Either she is capable enough or you are a fool. Probably the first." Zyl'vryg remarked in veiled annoyance.

"Watch y..." Naz'da'gar attempted to say, when Aizen raised a hand to silence him.

"That is enough. Curiosity is satisfied, and as Amelia said, we should move to the topic of the Katze Plains Massacre." Aizen announced, taking a moment for everyone to mentality prepare themselves.

"Ainz Ooal Gown was present at the battle on the side of the Empire, and used a spell known as [Iä Shub-Niggurath]. This resulted in the summoning of five creatures we know are called 'Dark Young'. After the initial phase of the spell and the creatures' rampage, over 170,000 died, including Gazef Stronoff who fell in a duel with Ainz himself. "

"He summoned five of them?" Cthalpi asked Aizen with a slight, quizzical head-tilt.

"That's right."

"Astonishing. The previous record was two."

"You speak as if that is a good thing." Tsaindorcus indignantly growled.

His was the only vocal reaction to Cthalpi's and Aizen's brief exchange. The rest of the room had gone silent, and while some had, through their own sources, some idea of what happened, none had so much detail on casualty numbers or spell used. So the impact on those present was significant. Even Renner, who was more-or-less aware of everything, was quite speechless by the power displayed. Though some could tell it was awe, which served to disturb them.

Tsaindorcus' group was silent, both taken aback by the numbers and cruelty that this Player had brought to their home. Daisuke and his bodyguards were once more reminded of how the Player that founded their nation had taken a very different approach to things and how he used his power.

The Sea Dragon was speechless having gotten the unfortunate chance to live through an era where someone wielded the power that had almost laid his Dragon Lord forebears to waste. Eilyte was also taken aback by the numbers, but remained mostly calm, along with an unfazed Cthalpi. Someone else who was unfazed, just using the silence to think, was the Elder Coffin Dragon Lord who more than anything was intrigued by these events.

"That is not my intention. I am simply stating a fact." Cthalpi calmly argued.

"Especially when you have used the spell before, correct? You even have a creature like that in your possession." Aizen calmly added.

"Indeed. I used it to clear the island of some demons that lived there when I arrived. Just as a way to experiment with it, since usually Super-Tier spells are rarely used outside of intense combat..." Cthalpi started to say, when Rigrit sagely interjected, her age and experience coming through her voice as she worded her thoughts.

"...Or the 11th-tier, as the Slane Theocracy would call it. It's overwhelming really, not even the Evil Deities came close to that, and even those were exceptions to the rule when it came to power. It's both breathtaking and dreadful... It's why the Theocracy also calls it the 'Magic of the Gods'. Oh, dear me…" Rigrit sighed as she finished, scratching her forehead.

"I do not know what other names have been given to it, but they certainly are large-scale and powerful spells. Still, the number of summons surprised me because where I come from, the previous record was two. Even I only managed to summon one and I have an affinity for this type of magic. This is only a guess on my part, but since the spell relies on sacrifices, it was likely large volume of lives offered up to it at the battle being responsible for more than double the number summons. Although... was the casting instantaneous?" Cthalpi contemplatively asked, looking at Aizen.

"From what we were able to ascertain, yes."

"Then he probably used a special item to mitigate the casting time. While powerful, they leave us vulnerable during the lengthy casting period. That said, using an item to eliminate it has the drawback of rendering us unable to cast another for 24-hours."

"That aside, it's quite the impressive feat, and most certainly gives credence as to where this Ainz came from." Zyl'vryg said with a clearly interested tone.

"Hrmph! I do not think that praising him is appropriate." Tsaindorcus countered.

"Please, Cure Elim Los Malvar obliterated four nations, turning millions of their people into undead, and he probably would have caused more damage if not for me. The Catastrophe Dragon Lord had to be stabbed in the back to be taken down and even then, you failed to truly finish him off. As of now, there is little else you could actually do." Zyl'vryg sharply retorted, taking Rigrit and Azuth by surprise.

"Whatever the case, I think that the topic now should be how we will react to this. Or am I wrong?" Daisuke asked, wanting to move things along.

"Agreed." Naz'da'gar said, looking at Aizen.

"Indeed. I have had the chance to witness what he and his followers have done so far, and it is my belief that all of his actions until now has been to secure his position. That being the case, I do not believe that he will act without proper provocation or goal in mind. For now, he seems focused on the Empire and Kingdom. As such, I do not think he will make any further moves for now. So it is my recommendation that we continue to watch, wait, and focus on building our own forces for a possible confrontation in the future. "

"With the corpses controlled by artificial souls, correct?" Zyl'vryg asked.

"Correct. Unless of course you have any objections to 'Project Spearhead'." Aizen mused with a smirk.

"Hardly. It is indeed a very clever plan. After all, using regular undead would run the risk of having your pawn stolen by a powerful enough necromancer, like myself or this Ainz. These artificially created souls will prevent that, and will make for far more capable soldiers than golems." Zyl'vryg explained, his interest in the topic plain for all present.

"On the topic, would you be able to provide some assistance? Nearly everyone in this meeting has already provided some form of help, so I'm sure that you could render some aid." Amelia remarked with a subtle smirk.

"Hrmph... I care not for your tone young lady, but your point is valid. I can provide coin and precious goods if necessary. I also have a large stock of corpses for use, of which I can provide. I have access to skilled craftsmen and now rare information. All within reason of course."

"Does that mean that you can forge items imbued with [Wild Magic]?" The Platinum Dragon Lord asked with a serious tone.

"Is that even possible? I have heard that doing such a thing was now nearly impossible, due to the low number of practitioners and waning powers of our art." The Sea Dragon pointed out, earning him a sigh from the Elder Coffin Dragon Lord.

"Naturally, I can do it. It is not easy, but I never let the art die to begin with. I have a collection of tomes, old previously made items, and skilled labor."

"Then, you can contribute more than you may know." Tsaindorcus said, before turning his attention to Aizen.

"Indeed. While your other assistance is appreciated, as is the assistance of everyone here, we still have the issue of the [World Class Items] that Nazarick possesses. An issue that, from the information gathered and exchanged with Tsaindorcus and Cthalpi, can be countered with [Wild Magic]. Meaning, we will need to forge such items." Aizen explained.

"I am familiar with the concepts Tsaindorcus, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. While I can indeed create powerful items, to do what you're asking will take time and great resources. By my estimates, in order to create something to shield a non-Dragon Lord from the power of a [World Class Item], I will need several months, extremely valuable materials, and large sources of energy." Zyl'vryg pointed out.

"Well, I am certain that no one here will be against providing some kind of aid to the process.~" Renner said with a disturbingly cunning smile.

"I can provide energy." Naz'da'gar promptly said.

"I can provide part of the materials."

Saying this, Cthalpi reached into her [Inventory] and removed a large gold coin, which she threw across the table to the Elder Coffin Dragon Lord who easily grabbed it and swiftly held it up to his eye to examine.

"This is a coin from YGGDRASIL. It's pure gold of the highest quality imbued with magic. I have many of these, so it shouldn't be an issue." Cthalpi matter-of-factly explained.

"Do we not need them?" Eilyte asked, unsure of this decision.

"Not particularly and I have a great many of them, so if something does come up I will have some to fall back on."

"These coins will do for a portion of the necessary materials. Hrmm... I do agree that Naz'da'gar Cyddrunarth can make a sizable contribution, I also think that Aizen and his [Hōgyoku] can provide that unique power of his to make this actually feasible in such a short time." Zyl'vryg argued.

"Oh? Isn't that a bit too much to ask?" Naz'da'gar mused.

"No. We are trying to copy the protective power of a Dragon Lord in item form. Preferably an item that can be worn. Correct?" Aizen coolly theorized, earning him a smile from the Elder Coffin Dragon Lord.

"Exactly. And your unique power will make all the difference."

"I have nothing against providing my own power for this endeavor, along with my aid and that of my own people... Now then, are we all in agreement of continuing our work as it was? With the focus being on increasing our forces and creating these items, while leaving Nazarick be for the time being?" Aizen firmly asked.

'"Agreed."' The various members of the summit acknowledged.

"It gladdens me to see we are in agreement. If there is anything else I will freely listen to your concerns. Otherwise, I declare that the main topic of this summit is closed."

Afterward, small topics were discussed and further socializing was conducted between the various members of the summit before they began to depart. With the summit concluded, all those involved returned to their lives and to their respective duties, with Nazarick being left to its own devices.

Patience and thoughtfulness was Aizen's strategy going forward, since they needed to increase their numbers, and create the powerful counters needed against [World Class Items]. Such a concept would have been dismissed as madness, but the combined might, resources, and intellect of Aizen and the Elder Coffin Dragon Lord proved up to the task. Even if the project would see several delays.

As time went on, Vali and Arisuke of the south's "Yasei no Kari" dissolved the group, becoming Fracción to the Espada Alvis and Cayo, with Kusumi focusing on actually becoming an aid to the Rukia duplicate. The Espada continued to expand and increase their influence, even in Daisuke's nation of Koka no Shinku-Kokai.

In the blink of an eye, 6-months had passed, and Nazarick had solidified its hold on E-Rantel, founding the Sorcerer Kingdom. Rumors ran rampant that the Baharuth Empire would soon become a vassal state to the small but powerful nation, governed by the equally powerful 'Sorcerer King', Ainz Ooal Gown. Furthering its rapid rise was it establishing diplomatic and trade relations with the Dwarf Kingdom beneath the Azerlisia Mountains.

Meanwhile, the Re-Estize Kingdom's defeat at the Katze Plains would see a marked increase in the speed of its decline, having lost many of its leading nobles and resources in manpower and materials. Ainz Ooal Gown's spectacular and terrifying entry onto the world stage saw a marked shift in the balance of power on the continent. A shift that many in Aizen's alliance thought would inevitably drift westward, towards the Roble Holy Kingdom...
